This is an amazing radio from 1952 with two EL11 end tubes! The sound is realy strong and warm, this radio was a very expensive model in his production time.
A very big radio from (in my opinion) the best German company who has made radios is this very huge and heavy Spitzensuper 53 made on the end of 1952 till 1953. This boy weights 25Kg!

The very big coaxical speakers give a real blasting sound, this radio goes so load! Its alway's a real surprise, I imagine the owners in 1953 must be very proud of this radio! The special tweeter on the front is taking the high tones for his part.
Other special feature on this radio is the kind of door before the dial, this feature has give these radios a second name called the breadbox.
This is a real masterpiece and a model for the craftmanschip of the well knowed Philips company. A radio with motor tuning in 1938 was shurly a high stand item, I gues you only find these radios in rooms of very rich family's... The radio use the following tubes: EF8, EK3, EAB1, EF9, EF6, EL6, 1561, EM1.

Nice litle bakelite radio from NSF (Nederlandse Seintoestellen Fabriek) made around 1940. Uses the following tubes: UCH4, UF9, UBL1, UY1N Sizes: (b) 39 x (h) 24 x (d) 17 cm. Has long wave, medium and short wave.
One of the biggest BiAmpli radios from Philips is this B8X72A . A real top radio with 2 speakers on the sides and a horn tweeter on the front. Special on this radio are the tone selection who gives a diferent collor light on the dial window (above). Its a real soundblasting radio who use 10 tubes! EZ81, EL86, EL86, ECC83, EABC80, EF85, EF89, ECC85, ECH81, EM80 (magic eye).
Wat mij betreft is dit een zeer mooi toestel uit bakeliet van de Philips fabrieken, dit toestel kreeg de bijnaam van "het zonnetje" en soms ook "bibberschaal" deze komt omdat de afstem naald trilt wanneer je naar een zender zoekt. Reden daarvoor is dat ze rechtstreeks op de CV pin aangeloten zit en de CV is zo gemonteerd dat hij schokdempend kan bewegen. Zoals veel andere Philips toestellen straalt uit deze radio een bepaalde sfeer uit waar geen enkele radio liefhebber kan aan weerstaan... Mvg, David.
Wonderfull radio from 1955 with a lot of special features like 3 CV (variable condencer) and a special separate wave. This unit was a very expensive model when he was on the market. This radio was saved by the influence of time like moisture and insects, the case is still in a wonderfull condition (still have the original comercial paper tag on the front). A condition like this is very hard to find on the 55 models most of them had varnisch damage.
Most expensive model of this West German Company. This model was the top of their line in 1955. Unessesairy to mention that this model is a hard to find. Regards, Retro0_7
Deze radio typeert het merk Siemens gedurende de periode 1950/57 omdat hij onmiddellijk herkenbaar is aan zijn vouwdeurtjes.
Leuk is dat wanneer de deurtjes dichtgaan de schaalverlichting d.m.v. een drukcontact in de deuren uitgeschakeld wordt.
De deur van links zorgt voor het uitschakelen van het toveroog en de deur van rechts voor het uitschakelen van de schaalverlichting.
Dit was aangewezen om verhitting te verkomen, zo spaarde de eigenaar uit op het verbruik van de lampjes en vooral op de EM80 die ook toen een dure lamp/buis was.
Bij het sluiten van de deuren blijft echter wel het lampje branden van de volumeregeling (wieltje uit doorzichtig plastiek vooraan midden) dit is handig wanneer het donker is.
Verder bezit deze versie (m57) de typische blauwe beker luidsprekers die me sterk doen denken aan de blauwe melk potjes van vroeger
Deze radio heeft een overdonderend goed geluid, sterk en zuiver (maakt gebruik van 2 x EL84 voor de eindtrap).
Dit toestel is in bijzonder goede staat, nog mooier in het echt dan op foto, de eigenaar is er erg zorgzaam voor geweest (zou het te maken hebben met de toen erg hoge aankoop prijs?).

Siemens schatulle m57
This is one of the most typical Siemens radios build in the 50ties.
When the doors are closed the dial lamps are out, this was necessary to prevent the radio of overheating.
The left door put out the magic eye tube EM80 and the right door put out the dial lamps.
The transparent wheel in the middle of the radio is the on/of switch (pull down) and also the volume control (scroll).
This radio has a magnificent sound, very powerful using 2 EL84 in the output power.
