We hebben uitermate genoten van deze prachtige zomer.  Uitstappen, wandelen, fietsen, lezen en af en toe wat breien...  We waren in Apeldoorn, waar we onze nederlandse vrienden bezochten.  De Veluwe, Giethoorn, Apeldoorn, zoveel moois bij onze noorderbuurtjes.
Bedankt voor het prachtige weekend Marianne en Herke!

We enjoyed this exceptional summerweather.  Vacations, walkings, bikings and knitting, every now and then...  We were in De Veluwe, Giethoorn, Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. We were surprised by so much beauty. Thanks for this wonderful weekend Marianne and Herke!

Mengeling Merino/cashmere. 100% wol.
9 bollen/9 skeins.

Patroon/Pattern

De sjaal is ongeveer 120 cm x 60 cm
137 st opzetten met nld. 3
16 rijen in boordpatroon breien 7 recht, 3 averecht.
Met nld. nr. 3,5 verder breien in rechtse tricot voor 140 rijen.
Brei 24 rijen boordsteek.
Opnieuw 140 rijen tricot breien.
Eindigen met 16 rijen boordsteek.
Met mooie wol, succes verzekerd!

The scarf is about 120 cm x 60 cm.
Cast on 137 st with 3,5 mm needles.
Knit 16 rows in border stitch: knit 7, purl3.
Change needles to 3,5mm.
Continue in stockinette stitch  for about 140 rows.
Knit 24 rows in border stitch.
140 rows of stockinette stitch.
End with 16 rows of border stitch.
Use a good quality of wool and this shawl will look gorgeous.

Dit is een droevig verhaal
This is a very sad story

Ik breng Pinot in herinnering.
Weten jullie nog, ze had kanker...
Do you remember Pinot?
She had cancer...

Ze is deze week bevallen van 4 dode, misvormde kittens.
Gezien we niet wisten dat ze zwanger was (we gaven de pil)
hebben we ze in begin van haar zwangerschap ontwormd,
wat nefast was voor de kittens.  De bevalling duurde 5 uur...

She gave birth to 4 dead, deformed kittens.
As we didn't know at the start she was pregnant (we gave
anticonception) we gave an anti-worm remedy in her early
pregnancy.  The birth took 5 hours...

Terwijl ik er in gedachten steeds naar streef mijn voorraad af te bouwen,
 heb ik het toch opnieuw gekocht.  Wie kan er nu weerstaan aan deze prachtige
bobijn (30 euro voor 500 gr, 100% zijde) en deze Kid-Mohairwol voor een sjaaltje.
