Steampunk Dorothy

---

New pic again, this is the last one I painted, it's a figurine that was made from a existing girl who looked and was dressed like this on a fantasy figurine event where she was the hostess. The figurine itself is even smaller then the 1.37 inch what's considerate a normal size for the fantasy ones... I sure had fun painting it though

Link seemed to be broken so posted this older one again ...Huns.. The stand alone figure is one of the most well known Huns namely Atilla The Hun from the brand Post Militaire but now available from Elite, if I am correct this is a 2.75 inch one. The mounted figure is a Amati that I had to wait forever for, it wasn’t available over here so had to be patient for weeks .. they’re both metal, ver obvious the moment you pick it up

---

Yes, here's the next project. They're 2.12 inch figurines, the upper part of the pirate will be situated in the water where he will be holding on to the barrel who's floating in the water. The mermaid will be seated on the rocks.

----

Hello... yes finally.... here is he then, my Chaos Warrior. Hard to believe it took me all that time to paint something that's only 1.25 inch "tall" isn't?

Hello.. yes, finally huh.. the pirates are all done and here's a picture of the whole scene.. it took me a long time to paint them but then 3 figures don't get painted in 1,2,3 .. the sculpting of the figurines took my fellow figurinist Marc 6 months ... I'm posting more detailed pictures pretty soon so keep a eye out for them..

----
And another one bites the dust.. it's a fantasy one again so it's only 1.3 inch "tall" from Rackham who's a Kelt Shaman in fact. I really had a ball painting her, it seems I paint more and more of these fantasy ones.... you know I don't even have one historical figurine to take to the first contest who's in September.. times are changing quickly

----
here's a picture of the whole lot just before it got primed, this took months of work people but what a achievement huh? I'm in total awe each time of what he can accomplish.. now it's up to me to try and equal his job on painting the little fellows.. wish me luck ;-)

Well it’s hard to believe how long it took me to get this one done, but here she is... finally (no longer available)

En… ja hier is ze hé.. Neytiri in volle glorie.

And… yes here she is.. Neytiri in all her glory. She’s been a real success at the contest, got a gold medal in the Masters category plus gold in the special prizes . My previous girl Aayane did very well too and got silver in the Masters....guess who's a happy camper right now?

Here he is again.. two weeks later.. the white does need some more work but all by all he's on the right road.. the weather is getting better and we're on our bikes in the afternoon so painting gets a bit shoved back now.. for the ones interested in the history of the battle just hit this link

---------
This is also a “buste” but a smaller scale then the ones you usually see as those are mostly a 1/8 scale.. if it depended on me they could all be like this as it’s a lot more fun to paint. The figurine is from the brand “Metal Models” so the sculpture is excellent and a great finish, nothing to glue so that was advantage too.. those aren’t a problem to ship as no pieces can  break off during transport. It’s a French fusilier 1918 (Fusilier was originally the name of a soldier armed with a light flintlock musket called the fusil. The word was first used around 1680, and has later developed into a regimental designation) from the famous Foreign Legion, I have another one from the Legion too but it’s a Mexican. Even as this one is a “oldie” I’m still pleased with the way I painted it.. on the picture you can’t really see it that well but the helmet looks very natural.. if my memory serves me right I mixed a bit of metal paint in the oilpaint mixture…

And what do you think of this one? Is was a real ordeal to find good documentation on the uniform but a very nice man from the US reacted on my mail and explained from A to Z the how, the what and the where.. there was a fault in how the uniform was represented on the box art... what a excellent medium the net can be
It's a soldier from the 5th Georgia regiment of the Clinch Rifles.. for the ones interested you can read up on the regiment at this link

HA!

Ah! And yet again a bust.. a old one though who’s been residing in Australia for quiet a while now and is named Pirate Pete . The more I go through the pictures and encounter the busts the more I realize that I really fancied painting them, even when they were in a 1/8 scale like this one is. (no longer available)

Yep, finally finished… and I was able to take a picture.. I really have to get used to this new camera as the result isn't what I want yet.. I will have to find some additional light to get this one like I want... well I sure had a ball painting this one

Forgot to upload the second picture... so you can see the other side too.. the hardest part..
