d'Ornano

This nice figurine is produced by Metal Models who I think has the most choice in Napoleonic figurines of 54mm and of great quality, what isn’t that great is that most faces resemble one another and as with this figurine it’s extremely hard to paint because the helmet or “shako” doesn’t come in a different parts… for the ones interested to know who d’Ornano was you can click on this link and it will take you to his biography http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippe_Antoine_d%E2%80%99Ornano He’s wearing a dragoon uniform, green is a real challenge to paint because it has a tendency to shine and that’s we really don’t want on the uniforms so it’s essential to take the right colors to mix to prevent it and let it dry through a heat source.. that’s the reason I paint more during the winter then the summer.. the empty wooden wine box that’s on my furnace side and where they can dry quickly
