Yep, and another one finished.. Captain Blackdog, I hope my colleague who sculpted him will be happy with my paint job.. did my best, but then I always do ;-)

Well here's my fatso all done, got a pic taken.. finally... so I thought I better get it on the blog.. Sure had fun painting him but he was a bigger challenge then I thought he would be at start

Yes, my colleague had some inspiration again (got too much of it at times) and this time he sculpted a buste of Captain Blackdog who's a character from a comics called Barracuda. In a bit I'll be priming him, today it's a bit sunny and not that cold, the room I have to prime in is not heated and found out last year that priming when it's very cold isn't a great idea so..

---

Well not that happy with the pic... I'm having a hard time taking a good picture of the 1.37" ones but till I'm able to improve at it this is what you have to do with ;-)

no longer available

----

Well I still haven't made a picture of the finished figurine but here you have Gwen.. assembled.. the pic dates from end January.. she did pick up some color since then and if all goes well I'll have a pic of how she looks now up tomorrow ;-)

Again a 2.12" one, a Grenadier from 1806 in campaign clothes. The brand of this one is MetalModels but from another sculpter then most of there figurines so he has a different head then the others.. I'm still happy with how I painted him.. the reason why he's still in the glass cabinet ;-)

Again a 2.12" one, a soldier in the confederate army during the ACW.. they weren't as well equipped as the Northern ones so you didn't see a lot of real uniforms.. a figurine I have liked painting.. this one isn't a metal one but it doesn't show, you only know the difference when you pick it up..

This is one we call "a scenette" it's a scene from the war in the Sudan end 1800's .. the British soldier shown is one from the Camel Corps

I'm going over the figurines I have forgotten to put on the blog so here's number one
A Portuguese soldier of the 6th Caçadores, it's a 2.12" one that I still really like, guess it's the expression on his face.. tired of war I read into it..

---

Well here's another one freshly done Dame Nessalith is her name, very lightly dressed for the time of the year but it doesn't seem to bother her I had fun painting her for sure as with all those fantasy figures you get a total freedom when it comes to colors, that's why I love doing them but... will paint a serious one too next season. This is a 1.37" figure from the brand Rackham

------
Yes, another one done.. again one who's 1.37 inch as I'm stuck in the fantasy ones again.. she's Steampunk Dorothy and it took heaps more work then I thought at the start but... and I should take a pic from her backside too as there's all sorts of things there like a watch.. pressure meters ... stuff ;-)

---

New pic again, this is the last one I painted, it's a figurine that was made from a existing girl who looked and was dressed like this on a fantasy figurine event where she was the hostess. The figurine itself is even smaller then the 1.37 inch what's considerate a normal size for the fantasy ones... I sure had fun painting it though

Link seemed to be broken so posted this older one again ...Huns.. The stand alone figure is one of the most well known Huns namely Atilla The Hun from the brand Post Militaire but now available from Elite, if I am correct this is a 2.75 inch one. The mounted figure is a Amati that I had to wait forever for, it wasn’t available over here so had to be patient for weeks .. they’re both metal, ver obvious the moment you pick it up

--
Yes finally the finished item with the mermaid fixed and painted.. now the summer will be fading I'll be reconnecting with the brushes again.. I haven't done a lot the last two months ;-)

---

Yes, here's the next project. They're 2.12 inch figurines, the upper part of the pirate will be situated in the water where he will be holding on to the barrel who's floating in the water. The mermaid will be seated on the rocks.

----

Hello... yes finally.... here is he then, my Chaos Warrior. Hard to believe it took me all that time to paint something that's only 1.25 inch "tall" isn't?

Hello.. yes, finally huh.. the pirates are all done and here's a picture of the whole scene.. it took me a long time to paint them but then 3 figures don't get painted in 1,2,3 .. the sculpting of the figurines took my fellow figurinist Marc 6 months ... I'm posting more detailed pictures pretty soon so keep a eye out for them..

----
And another one bites the dust.. it's a fantasy one again so it's only 1.3 inch "tall" from Rackham who's a Kelt Shaman in fact. I really had a ball painting her, it seems I paint more and more of these fantasy ones.... you know I don't even have one historical figurine to take to the first contest who's in September.. times are changing quickly
