US 5 Needles 16” circular
US 5 DPN’s

Jade Sapphire “Zageo” 6 ply Mongolian Cashmere
Colorway #47 Blueblood Red

Gauge:  5sts/8rws = 4″ in St st

CO 88 sts
Place marker, join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Knit 14 rounds of k2p2 ribbing.
Change to St st.

Knit approx 3” of St st. (24 rounds)

CROWN SHAPING:

Round 1: *Right slant decrease, k18, ssk, rep from *, ending with ssk.
Round 2: knit

Continue dec with these 2 rounds, knitting 2 less sts in between the decreases. k16, k14, k12, and so on. Remember to knit an even round in between dec rounds.

When there are 2 sts rem on each dpn, cut the yarn, leaving a 12” tail. Weave through remaining sts, weave in ends.

Rugpand bolero



Garen: Kidsilk Haze
De bolero wordt gebreid met dubbele draad.
Ik weet dat er soms verschil kan zijn in het aantal meters,
maar dit lijkt me wel heel veel.  Ik denk dat ikde gebreide
 stukken maar eens ga wegen.
Maar: het garen is prachtig.





The shrug is knit with a dubble strand of yarn. 
I know there can be some difference between one skeen
or another but this seems a lot to.  I think I am gonna
check the weight.....
But: the yarn is gorgeous.
It knits up beautifully

Heel snel even een fotootje van Peace op het net zetten...
Mooi gelukt!  De juiste kleur komt niet altijd tot uiting.  Dit is een simpel donkerblauw gilet uit een cashmere/wol mengeling die zich prima liet verwerken.

I love Peace and I am sure a will make me another one! Thanks Glassqueen for letting me use your picture.  It isn't always simpel to project the right color.  It's a simple blue cardigan in a cashmere/wool blend. It was fun working with it.

Momenteel werk ik aan Peace van Kim Hargreaves. Het is een vestje in een wol/cashmereblend.
Foto's asap. Ik hoop dat Glassqueen er geen bezwaar tegen heeft dat ik haar foto  voorlopig op mijn blog plaats.

En hier de foto's van mijn tweede Alexandra uit het boek Fitted Knits. (De eerste wolt op...)
Deze trui wordt op een rondbreinaald van boven naar onder gebreid. Geen naden dus en ook geen naaiwerk. De trui is zo klaar. 100 % handgeverfde merino wol. Super zacht.

Alexandre from the book Fitted Knits - Stéfanie Japel.  It's a top down project on circular needles knit in the round.  No seeming! Finished in 4 days in a 100% handdyed merino wool.



Op bovenstaande foto is de kleur het meest correct.




De kleur is hier iets te licht, maar ja, jullie weten
 waarschijnlijk wel hoe moeilijk rood fotografeert.
De foto hier net onder is het meest benaderend.

De mouwen zijn licht uitlopend naar beneden toe.
Ik heb de mouwen iets verlengd.
The sleeves are slightly bishop and I lengthened them up a bit.

Al dit schaatsen wil natuurlijk niet zeggen dat ik niet gebreid heb.  De cape is klaar, maar ik ben nog steeds op zoek naar de gepaste knoop.  En ik heb ondertussen ook een tweede Alexandra gebreid.
Ik beloof dat de foto's nog deze week op mijn blog zullen staan. Uitkijken dus!

This skating doen't mean I haven't been knitting!  I finished my cape but am still looking for the appropriate button.  And I made a second Alexandra in handdeyed yarn!  I promise to publish the pictures this week on my blog! Keep watching!

Zondag was het eindelijk zover! We konden schaatsen op de Integra.  12 jaar hebben we moeten wachten om nog eens het gladde ijs onder onze voeten te voelen in onze achtertuin. 

Sunday we went skating on the lake behind our garden! We had to wait for 12 years to feel the real nature of skating on natural ice!  It was wonderful!

De muts was zo succesvol dat ik er reeds drie heb moeten breien.
Dubbele draad was veel mooier. Foto's volgen.
This hat is so succesful I already had to knit 3 of these.
Dubble strand was better. Pictures folllow.

Bruine poncho gecopieerd van een gekocht model in een mengeling van Lamswool/Cashmere uit mijn stock. Nog niet geblokt, maar nu reeds een mooie soepele val.  100% tevreden.

A dark brown poncho copied from a commercial one.  30% Casmere/70% Lambswool blend from my stash.  Not blocked yet but it has a lovely feel and drape. Very satisfied.

Deze pull wordt opnieuw van boven naar onder gebreid.  Heel praktisch, gezien je regelmatig het breiwerk kan aanpassen en eventueel meerderen, minderen of verlengen.
De rug en het voorpand zijn op rondbreinaalden gebreid en reeds klaar.

This pullover is a top-down.  Practical as you can adept all measurements in time...
Back and front are ready.  Sleeves on the needle.
