    Tambores
Composer(s): Raimundo Fagner - Ronaldo Bastos
    Performer(s): Raimundo Fagner

    Passei esse tempo todo
    Andando comigo
E só devo lhe dizer que tenho
    Esse sentimento antigo
Uma vez por ano no Natal
    Eles compram meus lindos cabelos
Uma vez por ano no Natal
    Ele compram meus lindos cabelos
    E pensam que me conhecem
    Mas só me entristecem
    Tambores, tambores, tambores...
    E um coração apaixonado
    Tambores, tambores, tambores
    Por esse pequeno sentimento
    Tambores, tambores, tambores
    E o meu pobre coração
    Tambores, tambores, tambores
Já não cabe de ter saudade
    Tambores, tambores, tambores

He left her in vain (Left her in vain)

    Yeah, Mister Peppermint Man
    Peppermint Man
    Every gal he loved
Well he left her in vain

Well you'll know him a-when you see him
    Bright, stripey shirt
He carries a big ol' sign
    Have love, will hurt

Yeah, Mister Peppermint Man (Peppermint Man)
    Peppermint Man (Peppermint Man)
    Every mother he loved
Well he left her in vain

I once had a true love
    She was special and true
    Wasn't anything, she
    She wouldn't do

    Yeah, till one day
    He come along (Peppermint Man)
And took her by the hand (Peppermint Man)
Said, "Doll, my name is Peppermint Man"

    And then follow all over
    All over this land
    Fall into the trap
    Of the Pepper, Peppermint Man

Yeah, Mister Peppermint Man (Peppermint Man)
I'm a bad lovin' man (Peppermint Man)
    Oh, Every gal he loved
Oohhh, he left her in vain

    I said, C'mon Baby

    C'mon, Ooohhhhh

Yeah, Mister Peppermint Man (Peppermint Man)

    Go Ahead And Cry
    Composer(s): Bill Medley
    Performer(s): The Righteous Brothers

(Love can make a young boy into man)
(But a broken heart can change a young man
    into a boy again)

You're not the first man to cry
    When things have gone wrong
You're human, you're only so strong
(It takes one) Little tear to knock a big man down
(It takes one) Broken heart to keep him down on the ground
It takes three little words, to make him stand again
    (Stand up again)

So, go ahead and cry, go ahead and cry
    Go ahead and cry

Love is so easy to play, but so hard to win
You're still a young man, you're heart will love again
(It takes one) Little kiss from her sweet tender lips
(It takes one) Gentle touch from her soft fingertips
It takes more than one tear, to mend a broken heart
    (A broken heart)

Go ahead and cry, go ahead and cry
Go ahead and cry, go ahead, go ahead
    Go ahead and cry
I want you to get down on your knees and (Cry)
    Kneel down baby
When you're feelin' blue I want you to (Cry)
    Don't be ashamed to (Cry)

Zé qualquer tava sem samba, sem dinheiro
    Sem Maria sequer
    Sem qualquer paradeiro
    Quando encontrou um samba
    Inútil e derradeiro
    Numa inútil e derradeira
    Velha nota de um cruzeiro

    ``Seu Marquês'', ``seu'' Almirante
    Do semblante meio contrariado
    Que fazes parado
No meio dessa nota de um cruzeiro rasgado
    ``Seu Marquês'', ``seu'' Almirante
Sei que antigamente era bem diferente
    Desculpe a liberdade
    E o samba sem maldade
    Deste Zé qualquer
    Perdão Marquês de Tamandaré
    Pedrão Marquês de Tamandaré

    Pois é, Tamandaré
    A maré não tá boa
    Vai virar a canoa
E este mar não dá pé, Tamandaré
    Cadê as batalhas
    Cadê as medalhas
    Cadê a nobreza
    Cadê a marquesa, cadê
Não diga que o vento levou
    Teu amor até

    Pois é, Tamandaré
    A maré não tá boa
    Vai virar a canoa
E este mar não dá pé, Tamandaré
    Meu marquês de papel
    Cadê teu troféu
    Cadê teu valor
    Meu caro almirante
    O tempo inconstante roubou

Zé quaquer tornou-se amigo do marquês
    Solidário na dor
    Que eu contei a vocês
Menos que queira ou mais faça
É o fim do samba, é o fim da raça
    Zé qualquer tá caducando
    Desvalorizando
    Como o tempo passa, passando
    Virando fumça, virando
    Caindo em desgraça, caindo
    Sumindo, saindo da praça
    Passando, sumindo
    Saindo da praça

Glück Ist Wie Ein Schmetterling ((Adapted from: Love Is Like A Butterfly (by Dolly Parton) - 1974)) Composer(s): Dolly Parton - Ralf Arnie Performer(s): Nana Mouskouri - 1977 Versions In Other Languages: 1976 - La Récréation (by Nana Mouskouri) 1998 - Bloem En Bij (by Mieke)

    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Es kommt zu dir und fliegt davon
    Sowie ein bunter Luftballon
    Den man nicht halten kann

    Es ist mein allerliebster Gast
Der leider fortgeht ab und zu
    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Und mein Glück bist nur du

    Ich spür in deiner Nähe
    Wie gut ich dich verstehe
Und wär so gern für immer
    Und alle Zeit bei dir

Doch wenn ich ganz alleine bin
Und traurig und ganz klein bin
    Mit meinen dummen Träumen
    Dann sage ich zu mir

    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Es kommt zu dir und fliegt davon
    Sowie ein bunter Luftballon
    Den man nicht halten kann

    Es ist mein allerliebster Gast
Der leider fortgeht ab und zu
    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Und mein Glück bist nur du

    Ich schaue in den Garten
    Wo tausend Blumen warten
    Das sie sich wärmen können
    Im Sommersonnenschein

    Dann kommen bunte Falter
    Als ihre Unterhalter
Doch bringt ein Tag nur Regen
    Dann bleiben sie allein

    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Es kommt zu dir und fliegt davon
    Sowie ein bunter Luftballon
    Den man nicht halten kann

    Es ist mein allerliebster Gast
Der leider fortgeht ab und zu
    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Und mein Glück bist nur du

    Glück ist wie ein Schmetterling
Und mein Glück bist nur du

    Mr. Moon
    Composer(s): Hugh Nicholson
    Performer(s): Blue

Last night Mr. Moon came calling
He laid his silver just as sun was falling
Sprinkled sparkling stardust in the sky
So I pulled up close to the riverside
    Picked some sticks for firelight
And sat and watched the sparks flying high

Oh, and it made me feel good
Just to watch the burning wood
As I sat and looked at my reflection
Well I know I'm not so trouble free
But on that night, I had to be
The stars they commanded me to smile

Oh, and it made me feel good
Just to watch the burning wood
As I sat and looked on my reflection
Well I maybe right and I maybe wrong
But I got music for a little song
When I gazed upon the magic moonlight night

    I saw a child
    He was carrying a light
I asked where it came from
    He blew it right out
    His eyes looked into me
    His voice was a song
He said tell me tell me do you
    Know where it's gone

    (Chorus)
    Glory, Glory
My eyes have seen the mountain
My soul can sing the song
    Glory, Glory
    Singing Hallelujah
    The truth is marching on

Every morn' the sun lights us all
    The trees ask for nothing
They just let their fruit fall
    Fire's the same no matter
    What the source
The flame of life burns on
    It's never, never lost

    (Repeat chorus)

    Well she comes from Tallahassee
    She's got a hi-fi chassis
    Maybe looks a little sassy
But to me she's real classy
Yeah my Tallahassee lassie, down in F-L-A
Well she dances to the drag, the cha-cha, rag and mop
Stomping to the shag, rocks the bunny hop ooh ooh ooh ooh
She dances to the rock, she dances to the stroll
She dances to the walk, she can rock and roll
    She's my Tallahassee lassie

    Mr. Monday
    Composer(s): Dennis Lambert; Brian Potter

He gets up at eight o’clock
    On cold clear winter days
He eats his food at half past eight
    And clears the pots away
He drives his car in the city streets
And he meets along the way
A lot of tall dark people
Who stand there all the day
    He’s Mister Monday
He works all day from nine to five
    He’s Mister Monday
He lives alone in the city
I see him in the evening
I pass him at the door
I say, “Hello, how are you?”
And I know he’s very poor
He looks at the street through his window
He watches the people pass by
He loves little dogs and children
And he never tells a lie
    He’s Mister Monday ...

    Glory Of Love
    Composer(s): Peter Cetera;
    David Foster; Diane Nini
    Performer(s): Peter Cetera

    Tonight it's very clear
    Cause we're both lying here
There's so many things I wanna say
    I will always love you
I will never leave you alone
Sometimes I just forget, say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I don't want to lose you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who would fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of
    We'll live forever knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love

    You keep me standing tall
You help me through it all
I'm always strong when you're beside me
    I have always needed you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who would fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you've been dreaming of
    We'll live forever knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love

It's like a knight in shining armor
    From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
Take you to my castle far away

I am the man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero that you're dreaming of
We're gonna live forever knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love

    We live forever knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love

We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love...

    Glory Days
    Composer(s): Bruce Springsteen
    Performer(s): Bruce Springsteen;
    Shane Torrel; Matt Tyler

I had a friend who was a big baseball player
    back in high school
he could throw that speedball by you
make you look like a fool boy
saw him the other night at this roadside bar
I was walking in, he was walking out
we went back inside, sat down, had a few drinks
but all he kept talking about

glory days well they'll pass you by
glory days in the wink of a young girls eye
    glory days, glory days

well there's a girl that lives up the block
back in school she could turn all the boys heads
sometimes on a Friday I'll stop by
and have a few drinks after she put her kids to bed
her and her husband Bobby, well they split up
I guess its two years gone by now
we just sit around talking about the old times
she says when she feels like crying
    she starts laughing, thinking about

    chorus

my old man worked 20 years on the line
    and they let him go
now everywhere he goes out looking for work
they just tell him that he's too old
I was 9 years old and he was working at the
    Metuchen Ford plant assembly line
now he just sits on a stool down at the Legion hall
but I can tell what's on his mind

    glory days yeah going back
glory days awe he ain't never had
    glory days glory days

now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink tI'll I get my fI'll
and I hope when I get old
I don't sit around thinking about it
    but I probably wI'll
yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of
well time slips away and leaves you with nothing mister
but boring stories of glory days

    chorus {repeat twice}

    well alright ooh yeah
    well alright come on now
    well alright ooh yeah
    well alright come on now
    whoo hoo whoo hoo
    whoo hoo whoo hoo
    all right boys
    keep them rocking now
    keep on going
    we're coming home now

Well gimme a little loving in the morning
    I want a little loving (...)
But you want to get your loving in the evening
When I want to get some loving in the day

I tell her that I'm working in the morning
I tell her that I gotta get my rest
She tells me she's a-working on her loving
And she tells me that my loving is the best

Well it's a tall order baby
And it's a tall order now
Well it's a tall order baby
But we gotta get our loving somehow

Well I don't want to go to sleep on you baby
I don't want to go to sleep on you now
But if I'm going to go to sleep on you baby
Well I'm gonna do it any how

Well don't you turn your back on me darling
Don't you know I'd like to stay up and play
But if I turn my back on you darling
You're going to do it some other way

Well it's a tall order baby
And it's a tall order now
Well it's a tall order baby
But we gotta get our loving somehow

    It's a tall order baby
Well it's a tall order now
Well it's a tall order baby
But we gotta get our loving somehow

Well I don't want to go to sleep on you baby
I don't want to go to sleep on you now
But if I'm going to go to sleep on you baby
Well I'm gonna do it any how

Well don't you turn your back on me darling
Don't you know I'd like to stay up and play
But if I turn my back on you darling
You're going to do it some other way

Well it's a tall order baby
And it's a tall order now
Well it's a tall order baby
But we gotta get our loving somehow

Well it's a tall order baby

They call us lucky, you and I
    Lucky girl, lucky guy
When you take my hand or touch my cheek
I know I'm on a lifetime lucky streak

A lucky rainbow lights the sky
When we kiss, when we sigh

They say I'm lucky, mister lucky guy7
    And you're the reason why

They say you're lucky, mister lucky guy
    But darling, so am I

    Performer(s): The Grass Roots

All the sun on the outside
Doesn't touch what I feel within
When I've got you beside me
I'm reachin' out for the rainbow's end
You get to me and give me a feelin' that's comin' on
    Gettin' stronger & stronger

    Chorus:
Glory bound to that everlastin' feelin'
Glory bound, oh I'm never never comin' down

    It's 5:00 in the mornin'
I'm lookin' out on a sky of gray
I don't care, let the rains come
If I'm with you it's a sunny day
You make me feel so close to heaven
    Whenever I'm beside you

    (chorus)

I need the comfort I see in your smile
I need the touch of your hand
Come on & bring out the best in me, girl
Don't you know that you can

    (repeat chorus & fade)

    Talking World War III Blues
    Composer(s): Bob Dylan
    Performer(s): Bob Dylan

Some time ago a crazy dream came to me
I dreamt I was walkin' into World War Three
I went to the doctor the very next day
To see what kinda words he could say
He said it was a bad dream
I wouldn't worry 'bout it none, though
They were my own dreams and they're only in my head

I said "Hold it, Doc, a World War passed through my brain"
He said "Nurse, get your pad, this boy's insane"
He grabbed my arm, I said "Ouch!"
As I landed on the psychiatric couch
He said "Tell me about it"

Well, the whole thing started at 3 o'clock fast
It was all over by quarter past
I was down in the sewer with some little lover
When I peeked out from a manhole cover
Wondering who turned the lights on

Well, I got up and walked around
And up and down the lonesome town
I stood a-wondering which way to go
I lit a cigarette on a parking meter
And walked on down the road
    It was a normal day

Well, I rung the fallout shelter bell
And I leaned my head and I gave a yell
"Give me a string bean, I'm a hungry man"
A shotgun fired and away I ran
I don't blame them too much though
    I know I look funny

Down at the corner by a hot-dog stand
I seen a man, I said, "Howdy friend
I guess there's just us two"
He screamed a bit and away he flew
    Thought I was a Communist

Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave
"Let's go and play Adam and Eve"
I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin'
When she said, "Hey man, you crazy or sumpin'
You see what happened last time they started"

Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown
    And there was nobody aroun'
I got into the driver's seat
    And I drove 42nd Street
    In my Cadillac
Good car to drive after a war

Well, I remember seein' some ad
So I turned on my Conelrad
But I didn't pay my Con Ed bill
So the radio didn't work so well
    Turned on my player
    It was Rock-A-Day, Johnny singin'
"Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa
Our Loves Are Gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah"

I was feelin' kinda lonesome and blue
I needed somebody to talk to
So I called up the operator of time
Just to hear a voice of some kind
    "When you hear the beep
    It will be three o'clock"
She said that for over an hour
    And I hung it up

Well, the doctor interrupted me just about then
Sayin, "Hey I've been havin' the same old dreams
But mine was a little different you see
I dreamt that the only person left after the war was me
    I didn't see you around"

Well, now time passed and now it seems
    Everybody's having them dreams
Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with no one else
Half of the people can be part right all of the time
Some of the people can be all right part of the time
But all the people can't be all right all the time
I think Abraham Lincoln said that
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours"
    I said that

Away from home through no wish of my own
