Stay In My Corner Composer(s): Wade Flemons - Barrett Strong - Bobby Miller First release by: The Dells - 1965
If you stay-ay-ay darling (stay in my corner) You make me so proud, stay darling Please stay in my corner To the world I'd cry my love How I love you Honey I love you, I really love you Please, please, please stay darling And I will never never let you down Just say you'll stay Stay in my corner Cause I'll need you always around To tell me you love me Honey love me, so darling stay
There'll be times when I may fail I'll need your love to comfort me But if these may prevail But just a kiss from you Will make things sweet Mmm stay, ohhhhh stay One more time baby But just a kiss from you Will make things sweet Honey I love you, I love you I love you ...
I Love You Mi Vida Composer(s): Andreas Rickstrand First performance by: D'nash - 2007
Histoire De Roses Composer(s): Robert Lamoureux; Georges Hélian Performer(s): Patachou
Histoire De Faussaire Composer(s): Georges Brassens Performer(s): Georges Brassens
Vous C'est Nous First performance by: Virginie Pouchain - 2006
Stay Awhile Composer(s): Ken Tobias Performer(s): The Bells
Into my room he creeps Without making a sound Into my dreams he peeps With his hair all long and hanging down
How he makes me quiver How he makes me smile With all this love I have to give him I guess I'm gonna stay with him awhile
She brushes the curls from my eyes She drops her robe on the floor And she reaches for the light on the bureau And the darkness is her pillow once more
How she makes me quiver How she makes me smile With all this love I have to give her I guess I'm gonna stay with her awhile
How it makes me quiver How it makes me smile With all this love I have to give you Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile
How it makes me quiver How it makes me smile With all this love I have to give you Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile
His Wife Refused Composer(s): David Byrne Performer(s): David Byrne
A great big house- with nothing in it He comes home says "Now wait a minute" He's comin' in She's goin' out He turns around says, "What's that about?"
Do what they like, the kid's in school Think she don't know, now, who's kidding who? He turns around says "Who wants to know?" Open the door and there's nobody home!
Go ahead- fill their heads Go ahead- fill their heads with poison Take a look- these people are savages! Take a look- at their misfortune
I'm goin up I got a message I'm gonna wait till I close the door I'm gonna wrap, myself in blankets I'm gonna, roll out, across the floor
Well the bride bride and the groom Run in a circle around their house They're goin' out they're comin' in Inside a circle around their house
These shoes don't fit- this tie don't match I'm gonna throw it away when I get home I'm turned around I'm doin' my best I'm gonna wait until the light comes on
Yes he's the king and she's the queen Run in a circle around their house Open the door and let them in Inside a circle around their house
Mr. Nobody Composer(s): Matja Vlaic - Ura Vlaic First performance by: Anej Dean - 2006
You, you came to me one night Just like a ray of light I thought we'd be forever
Now it's so clear to me I'm part of history You're leaving me in sorrow
So deeply, so badly, you're hurting me
Tell me, who's that lucky hero Sleeping tightly on your pillow? Ah... tell me, will it be forever? 'Cause when you look at me I'm Mister Nobody It's just a game you play Can't let you walk away
Like a stranger passing by With no more tears to dry You're leaving me in sorrow
So deeply, so badly, you're hurting me
Tell me, who's that lucky hero Sleeping tightly on your pillow? Ah... tell me, will it be forever? 'Cause when you look at me I'm Mister Nobody It's just a game you play Can't let you walk away
Tell me, who's that lucky hero Sleeping tightly on your pillow? Ah... tell me, will it be forever? 'Cause when you look at me I'm Mister Nobody It's just a game you play Can't let you walk away
His Rocking Horse Ran Away From the Film "And The Angels Sing 1944" Composer(s): Johnny Burke; Jimmy Van Heusen Performer(s): Betty Hutton; and various other artists
I must sit down for a minute I'm ready to fall in a heap Willie's been fed and I've tucked him in bed thank goodness the darling's asleep He's a wonderful boy and a joy and a boon
Ahh, gee, you should have seen him this afternoon
Bang went the bridge lamp, down went the table, crash went the china tray But he said "I couldn't help it, my rocking horse ran away!" Rip rip went the curtain, wham went the window, crunch went the new buffet And I heard him tell his daddy "My rocking horse ran away"
Somehow Indians got into our front room Our cowboy grabbed for his gun and went boom, boom, boom, boom, boom
Slam went the screen door, smash went the mirror, looks like I'll soon be gray But he smiles and what's the difference and maybe some Mother's Day I'll remember when his rocking horse ran away
Got up early this morning, wore a flimsy negligee Had to hurry to fix the breakfast and get daddy on his way Figured I could get the paper, so the neighbors wouldn't see So I sneaked out on the porch, very, very quietly Wham went the dish pan, then came a holler, up went the neighbor's shade It was Mother's little darling, out on a commando raid
Came home late from a picture. I was tired, my shoes were tight Took off my stockings, dropped my girdle Got undressed and pulled the light. boy! Slipped into my night gown, then tiptoed across the floor Better have a look at Junior, so I peeked into his door Clang, clang, clang went a cowbell, whee went a whistle, I nearly had a stroke It was mother's precious baby, just havin' his little joke
Always just when I'm breathin' a peaceful sigh There's G-Men, coppers and robbers and hi-yo silver! Bam went the book case, boot went the fruit bowl, boom went the glass bouquet But he smiles and what's the difference and maybe some mother's day I'll remember when, bang went the lamp, down went the table Crash went the tray, rip rip went the curtain, wham went a window Clang went a bell, whee went a whistle, bam went a pan, slam went a door On that eventful day, when his rocking horse ran away
Stay Away From The Apple Tree Composer(s): Roger Bowling - Chris Butler Performer(s): Billie Jo Spears; Lena Martell
In the beginning God made the world And something wasn't right He reached down His hand and He made man Then He smiled, 'cause it was right
But it didn't take long for Him to see This man was so alone So He gave him a woman To love and call his own
Now, the devil had an apple tree The fruit, it looked so fine Man took a bite, it tasted sweet So he stepped out of line
Now today it's still the same And I know she's tempting you So with all my love and all my heart I am begging you
Stay away, stay away from the apple tree Don't you know that all she wants to do Is hurt you and me? Stay away, stay away from the apple tree And spend all your time loving me
His Lips Get In The Way French Title: Je Ne Veux Que Lui Composer(s): Howard Greenfield; Helen Miller Performer(s): The Shirelles
Everybody tells me I'm A fool and I'm just wastin' time To love someone who's not in love with me Friends all say that I'm a dope To stay in love when there's no hope But I'm a dope who loves him hopelessly
Chorus: What can I do? Hey, what can I say? Each time I try to say goodbye His lips get in the way Oh yeah, his lips get in the way
He says my love don't mean a thing But still he keeps me on a string I'm just someone he likes to have around I say I want no more of this But then he stops me with a kiss I can't resist him though he puts me down
(chorus)
Everybody calls me fool They say "Hey girl, go back to school and learn the things that every girl should know" But I guess I've got no brains Because my foolish heart remains I just can't break the chains & let him go, no no
His Hand In Mine Composer(s): Mosie Lister Performer(s): Elvis Presley; and various other artists
You may ask me how I know my Lord is real (my Lord is real) You may doubt the things I say and doubt the way I feel (the way I feel) But I know he's real today he'll always be (he'll always be) I can feel his hand in mine and that's enough for me
I will never walk alone he holds my hand (he holds my hand) He will guide each step I take And if I fall I know he'll understand Till the day he tells me why he loves me so (he loves me so) I can feel his hand in mine That's all I need to know
I will never walk alone he holds my hand (he holds my hand) He will guide each step I take And if I fall I know he'll understand Till the day he tells me why he loves me so (he loves me so) I can feel his hand in mine That's all I need to know
I can feel his hand in mine That's all I need to know
Stay Awake Composer(s): Robert B. Sherman - Richard M. Sherman First release by: Julie Andrews - 1964 Covered by multiple other artists
Stay awake don't rest your head Don't lie down upon your bed While the moon drifts in the skies Stay awake don't close your eyes
Though the world is fast asleep Though your pillows soft and deep You're not sleepy as you seem Stay awake don't nod and dream Stay awake don't nod and dream
