Dice El Inmigrante
Composer(s): D.A.R.
Apriti Cuore Composer(s): Lucio Dalla Performer(s): Lucio Dalla
Es Ist Besser, Du Gehst ((Adapted from: You Better Move On (Arthur Alexander) - 1961)) Composer(s): Arthur Alexander Performer(s): Drafi Deutscher
April Showers Bring May Flowers Composer(s): Leo Wood - Nat Shilkret - Jack Shilkret
When the whole world seems so drear And above dark clouds appear And your heat seems filled with fear Don't feel sad and blue Think how nice it soon will be When the sun shines cheerfully Try it and I know you'll see What I say is true!
Happiness was meant for you Seek it and you'll find it too Then your life will start a new Wonderful 'twill be Sorrow was not meant to stay Just to come and go away Tho' it finds us all some day Still you'll surely see
April showers bring May flowers And sweet bowers, where roses twine Now I know too, I can show you That it's so too all the time If the sunshine came at one time All the fun time would soon be through April showers bring May flowers So just wait 'till love comes to you
Diary
Composer(s): David Gates
First release by: Bread - 1972
Covered by multiple other artists
I found her diary underneath a tree and started reading about me The words she's written took me by surpise you'd never read them in her eyes They said that she had found the love she waited for Wouldn't you know it, she wouldn't show it
When she confronted with the writing there simply pretended not to care I passed it off as just in keeping with her total disconcerting air and though she tried to hide the love that she denied wouldn't you know it, she wouldn't show it
And as I go through my life, I will give to her my wife all the sweet things that I can find
I found her diary underneath a tree and started reading about me The words began stick and tears to flow. Her meaning now was clear to see The love she'd waited for was someone else not me Wouldn't you know it, she wouldn't show it
and as I go through my life, I will wish for her his wife all the sweet things that she can find all the sweet things they can find
April Showers Composer(s): Buddy DeSylva - Louis Silvers First recording by: Al Jolson - 1921 Covered by multiple other artists
Life is not a highway strewn with flowers Still it holds a goodly share of bliss When the sun gives way to April showers Here is the point you should never miss
Though April showers may come your way They bring the flowers that bloom in May So if it's raining, have no regrets Because it isn't raining rain, you know (It's raining violets)
And where you see clouds upon the hills You soon will see crowds of daffodils So keep on looking for a blue bird And list'ning for his song Whenever April showers come along
And where you see clouds upon the hills You soon will see crowds of daffodils So keep on looking for a blue bird And list'ning for his song Whenever April showers come along

and multiple other artists
(a-wa a-wa) Odez enzuene zanamchinge
(a-wa a-wa) Si bona kwenze ka kanjani
(a-wa a-wa) Amanto mbazane ayeza
She's a rich girl She don't try to hide it Diamonds on the soles of her shoes
He's a poor boy Empty as a pocket Empty as a pocket with nothing to lose
Sing Ta na na, ta na na na She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes Ta na na, ta na na na She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes Diamonds on the soles of her shoes Diamonds on the soles of her shoes Diamonds on the soles of her shoes Diamonds on the soles of her shoes
People say she's crazy She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes Well that's one way to lose these walking blues Diamonds on the soles of her shoes She was physically forgotten Then she slipped into my pocket With my car keys She said you've taken me for granted Because I please you Wearing these di-iamonds
And I could say oo As if everybody knows What I'm talking about As if everybody here would know Exactly what I was talking about Talking about diamonds on the soles of her shoes
She makes the sign of a teaspoon He makes the sign of a wave The poor boy changes clothes and puts on after-shave To compensate for his ordinary shoes And she said honey take me dancing But they ended up by sleeping In a doorway By the bodegas and the lights on Upper Broadway Wearing diamonds on the soles of their shoes
And I could say oo And everybody here would know What I was talking about I mean everybody here would know exactly what I was talking about Talking about di-iamonds
People say I'm crazy I got diamonds on the soles of my shoes Well that's one way to lose these walking blues Diamonds on the soles of your shoes
April Played The Fiddle Composer(s): Johnny Burke - James V. Monaco Performer(s): Glenn Miller and multiple other artists
April played the fiddle and my heart began to dance And I was so surprised to find my arms around romance April played the fiddle and I memorized the tune And later on, a dream and I went singing to the moon
Then May began to gossip and June just winked her eye And you should have seen the Know-It-All expression on July...
April played the fiddle, ah, but heres the funny part I had to pay the fiddler with my one and only heart!
Diamonds On My Windshield
Composer(s): Tom Waits
Performer(s): Tom Waits; Steve Glotzer
Well these diamonds on my windshield And these tears from heaven Well I'm pulling into town on the Interstate I got a steel train in the rain And the wind bites my cheek through the wing And it's these late nights and this freeway flying It always makes me sing
There's a Duster tryin' to change my tune He's pulling up fast on the right Rolling restlessly by a twenty-four hour moon
And a Wisconsin hiker with a cue-ball head He's wishing he was home in a Wiscosin bed But there's fifteen feet of snow in the East Colder then a welldigger's ass And it's colder than a welldigger's ass
Oceanside it ends the ride with San Clemente coming up Those Sunday desperadoes slip by and cruise with a dry back And the orange drive-in the neon billin' And the theatre's fillin' to the brim With slave girls and a hot spurn bucket full of sin
Metropolitan area with interchange and connections Fly-by-nights from Riverside And out of state plates running a little late
But the sailors jockey for the fast lane So 101 don't miss it There's rolling hills and concrete fields And the broken line's on your mind
The eights go east and the fives go north And the merging nexus back and forth You see your sign, cross the line, signalling with a blink
And the radio's gone off the air Gives you time to think And you hear the rumble As you fumble for a cigarette And blazing through this midnight jungle Remember someone that you met And one more block; the engine talks Whispers 'home at last' It whispers 'home at last' Whispers 'home at last' It whispers 'home at last' Whispers 'home at last'
And there are diamonds on my windshield And these tears from heaven Well I'm pulling into town on the Interstate I got me a steel train in the rain And the wind bites my cheek through the wing Late nights and freeway flying Always makes me sing It always makes me sing
Diamonds At Your Feet
Composer(s): McKinley Morganfield
Performer(s): Muddy Waters; Big Bill Morganfield
She got to take sick and die one of these days She got to take sick and die oh! one of these days All the medicine I can buy, and all the doctors she can hire She got to take sick and die one of these days
When she's dead I'm gonna bury her very deep When she's dead I'm gonna bury her very deep I'm gonna bury her very deep, rubies and diamonds round her feet She got to take sick and die one of these days
I got to take sick and die one of these days She got to take sick and die oh! one of these days All the medicine she can buy, and all the doctors she can hire She got to take sick and die one of these days
She got to take sick and die one of these days She got to take sick and die one of these days All the medicine she can buy, and all the doctors she can hire She got to take sick and die one of these days
If it was me and all the powers in my hands If it was me and all the powers in my hands If it was me and all the powers laying there child in my hands She would have to go down to the promised land
