The Cockroach That Ate Cincinnati Composer(s): Doug Drill Performer(s): Rose & The Arrangement
Uh-uh, don't touch that dial!
I must offer to you a confession I like movies that give me a fright If the subject is horror, I got to see more or I won't be contented all night. You may call it my ghoulish obsession It's a subject on which I get chatty But the worst one it seems, haunting all of my dreams Was the cockroach that ate Cincinnati!
I've seen ghouls and hobgoblins and witches And some moth-eaten werewolves with fangs There were creatures that chattered and others that clattered And Japanese monsters with fangs (ah-so) Frankenstein gives me the shakes And Count Dracula's driving me batty But they're not on a par with the worst one by far The cockroach that ate Cincinnati (ha ha ha ha)!
Oh, he must have needed a seltzer It's amazing how much he got down! For lunch, he'd just chew up a suburb or two And for dinner, he ate the whole town (Burp!) Willard just sent me out laughing I thought Ben looked a little bit ratty (sorry, sorry about that) But they're not half as bad as the worst scare I've had The Cockroach that ate Cincinnati!
Oh, my heart nearly stopped; he would never be topped The cockroach that ate Cincinnati! Ole!
Humble Stance Composer(s): Jim Crichton; Peter Rochon; Michael Sadler Performer(s): Saga
Lately I've been watching a little complex grow You know, you gotta know That's why I chose to tell ya That humble stance and timid glance makes your world turn so slow You know, you gotta know There's no one going to help you Watching you, that shyness too, with everyone you know You know, you gotta know That's how they step around you It takes you twice the time to find the things you're looking for You know, you're moving slow No one will stop to tell you You can light up anyone you please You should spend less time down on your knees Lately I've been watching a little complex grow You know, you gotta know That's why I chose to tell ya That humble stance and timid glance makes your world turn so slow You know, you gotta know There's no one going to help you (repeat 5x)
A Place In My Heart ((Adapted from: Je Reviens Chez Nous (by Jean-Pierre Ferland) - 1969)) Composer(s): Jean-Pierre Ferland - Hal Shaper Performer(s): Nana Mouskouri - 1971
Titles In Other Languages: 1986 - Mein Herz Hat Noch Platz Für Dich (by Nana Mouskouri) 1986 - Nuestro Hogar (by Nana Mouskouri) 1987 - Un Posto Nel Cuore (by Nana Mouskouri) 1996 - Weer Naar Huis (by Sanne) 1998 - O Nosso Lar (by Nana Mouskouri)
I got your letter yesterday From some small town I never knew It told me you were on your way But not where you were going to
You said you're following the sun But do you really know for sure For after all is said and done Just what it is you' re looking for
There' s a place in my heart I wish that your eyes could see And there' s no one on earth Who loves you as much as me
If you just travel on and on Till I don't know where There's a place in my heart You may never find again
And so you travel with the wind You' ll find some road to fly along And though your letter says the word Your heart may soon forget the song
Then you may someday write the poem That tells your life in words of fire But you will never have a home Or find the love that you desire
There' s a place in my heart I wish that your eyes could see And there' s no one on earth Who loves you as much as me
If you just travel on and on Till I don't know where There's a place in my heart You may never find again
And so heading for the sea Now that the flowers are in bloom Just when the wild mimosa tree Is like the colour of our room
If you just travel on and on Till I don't know where There's a place in my heart You may never find again

And Im not sorry [Im not sorry] Its human nature [its human nature] And Im not sorry [Im not sorry] Im not your bitch dont hang your shit on me [its human nature]
You wouldnt let me say the words I longed to say You didnt want to see life through my eyes [express yourself, dont repress yourself] You tried to shove me back inside your narrow room And silence me with bitterness and lies [express yourself, dont repress yourself]
Did I say something wrong? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about sex [I musta been crazy] Did I stay too long? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt speak my mind [what was I thinking]
(chorus)
You punished me for telling you my fantasies Im breakin all the rules I didnt make [express yourself, dont repress yourself] You took my words and made a trap for silly fools You held me down and tried to make me break [express yourself, dont repress yourself]
Did I say something true? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about sex [I musta been crazy] Did I have a point of view? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about you [what was I thinking]
Nuestro Hogar ((Adapted from: Je Reviens Chez Nous (by Jean-Pierre Ferland) - 1969)) Composer(s): Jean-Pierre Ferland - S. Marti Performer(s): Nana Mouskouri - 1986

Ready A whole different beast 1234 1234! Oh yeeeahh Oh yeeeeeeahh
Well if you don't like it, go ahead Find yourself a date, go ahead now Try to find a boy, whose gonna be what I ain't
What you need is a plastic doll With a fresh coat of paint Whose gonna sit through the night And just always act so quaint
yeah ohhh yeah well uh
It's your new friend You're really making a scene And I've seen you bouncin' around From machine to machine But you know that They're never really Never really what they seem But you can try to Generate some warmth Then you'll see just what I mean Oh baby, baby, baby yeah
Chorus: And if I've acted like a king Don't ya know it's cause I'm a human being And if I want too many things Don't ya know it's cause I'm a human being And if I've got to dream Don't you know it's cause I'm a human being And when it gets a bit obscene Don't ya know it's cause, I'm a human being I just gotta walk around With my head on down Just like a human.. one more human being I can hold my head so high Just like a human A real proud human being
Won't ya gimme a little sip Why won't you gimme a drag of that cigarette Why don't you try to drive me home And then uh, never ever forget But now, don't you blow it all On a million dollar bet Because you're liable to lose it On a bet that you've never had yet No bababy baby oh yeah
(chorus)
It's like I'm talkin' 'bout the human race You're tryin' to cover up a big disgrace Baby, yeah, yeah, yeah Come on, come on, come on
Well I may think that this whole scene is just Too appalling for me Well, I may be the type who's just mad about Every little thing that I see, but I can Colour that with history, and make it Just what I want it to be, well I'm Blowin' my change on the fan magazines, with all the Hollywood refugees, oh baby baby oh yeah
A Place For The Music To Come Out Composer(s): Barry White Performer(s): The Banana Splits
Well, the cheeks puff up, the air goes 'round The valves flip-flop, but there ain't no sound 'Till the "paw-paw-paw" moves around To the place for the music to come out!
Mmm, the tall thin ball, with the ax and pick Knows darn well, when he plays that stick No sound comes through, 'till he's wired to A place for the music to come out!
You can move it, groove it, play it like it is! You can blow your mind, you can wear it in town But it don't mean a thing when there ain't no sound!
Take a saxophone, an 88 A set of skins, and you think they're great! But they are not, unless they got A place for the music to come out!
Gotta have a place for the music to come out, man! (Place for the music to come out!)
You can move it, groove it, play it like it is! You can blow your mind, you can wear it in town But it don't mean a thing when there ain't no sound!
Take a saxophone, an 88 A set of skins, and you think they're great! But they are not, unless they got A place for the music to come out! You gotta have a place, just a little bitty place Yeah, you gotta have a place, maybe just a little space A place for the music to come out!
Human Behaviour Composer(s): Björk; Nellee Hooper Performer(s): Björk; Michael Armstrong
If you ever get close to a human And human behaviour Be ready to get confused There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic To human behaviour But yet so, yet so irresistible And there's no map They're terribly moody And human behaviour Then all of a sudden turn happy But, oh, to get involved in the exchange Of human emotions is ever so, ever so satisfying Oh oh, and there's no map Human behaviour, human Human, human behaviour, human Human, human behaviour, human Human behaviour, human And there's no map And a compass Wouldn't help at all Human behaviour, human, human Human behaviour, human Human behaviour, human Human behaviour There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic Human, human Human behaviour Human There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic Human, human, human, human
A Pirate Looks At Forty Composer(s): Jimmy Buffett Performer(s): Jimmy Buffett and multiple other artists
Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall You've seen it all, you've seen it all
Watched the men who rode you switch from sails to steam And in your belly you hold the treasures few have ever seen Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream
Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder I'm an over-forty victim of fate Arriving too late, arriving too late
I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast Never meant to last, never meant to last
And I have been drunk now for over two weeks I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks But I got stop wishin', got to go fishin' Down to rock bottom again Just a few friends, just a few friends
I go for younger women, lived with several awhile Though I ran 'em away, they'd come back one day Still could manage to smile Just takes a while, just takes a while
Mother, mother ocean, after all the years I've found My occupational hazard being my occupation's just not around I feel like I've drowned, gonna head uptown
Human Composer(s): McEntee; Peiken Performer(s): The Pretenders
I play a good game, but not good as you I can be a little cold, but you can be so cruel I'm not made of brick, I'm not made of stone But I had you fooled enough to take me on If love was a war, it's you who has won While I was confessing it, you held your tongue
Now the damage is done...
Chorus: Well there's blood in these veins And I cry when in pain I'm only human on the inside And if looks can deceive Make it hard to believe I'm only human on the inside
I thought you'd come through I thought you'd come clean You were the best thing I should never have seen But you go to extremes, you push me too far Then you keep going 'til you break my heart Yeah, you break my heart
See I bleed and I bruise, oh, but what's it to you I'm only human on the inside And if looks could deceive Make it hard to believe I'm only human on the inside
I crash and I burn, maybe some day you'll learn I'm only human on the inside I stumble and fall, baby, under it all I'm only human on the inside
And the damage is done...
Chorus: Well there's blood in these veins And I cry when in pain I'm only human on the inside And if looks can deceive Make it hard to believe I'm only human on the inside
I crash and I burn, maybe some day you'll learn I stumble and fall, baby, I do it all I'm only human on the inside

You can talk all you want about women Said a sailor known as Dan McCan And if you really want to know about women You've got to talk to a sailor man
Now I don't know how many woman the sailor met And I hope there isn't that any he'll regret For if he'd only met me I'd a given him some trimmin' I'm one gal he'd never forget
Well who are you?
Who am I? I'm Hula Lou I'm the gal that can't be true I do my nestin' in the evenin' breeze 'Neath the trees You oughta see me shake my BVDs I never knew A man who wouldn't hula dance or woo And sail across the briny blue to who The lady known as Hula Lou That's me
Now you ask any sailor and he'll tell you That this lady is the greatest dancer he ever knew There isn't a ship in the Navy That I haven't got a friend in the crew There's not a cruiser on the waves Without someone who is my devoted slave And I don't care how nasty I may be I'm the one gal the sailors all crave
Ha Ha Ha Ha!
You don't believe me?
No!
Well you travel in and out You travel in the south You travel back and forth You travel in the north You see them shakin' east You see them shakin' west But boys I do my shakin' where the shakin's best I gotta hula smile Lots of hula hair A little hula here A little hula there I've got the cutest eyes Never mind what shade they are But (lookin' at them the boys*) will never get very far 'Cause I'm Hula Lou I'm the gal that can't be true I do my nestin' in the evenin' breeze 'Neath the trees I got more sweeties than a dog has fleas I never knew A man who wouldn't hula dance or woo And sail across the briny blue to who The lady known as Hula Lou From Honolou

I got the plan If you got the time If you take me there You can claim your share Of the action Been on the road for a long time now Paid all my dues Oh, I'm ready now If you take me there You can claim your share Of the action Oh, for a piece of the action Oh, for a slice of the cake Oh, for a piece of the action Oh, for a slice of the cake Sometimes I feel As I'm going down That nothing can stop me From losing ground If you take me there You can claim your share Of the action Oh, for a piece of the action Oh, for a slice of the cake Oh, for a piece of the action Oh, for a slice of the cake For a slice of the cake Oh, oh, oh......................
Hula Lou Composer(s): Edward Grossmith; Ted D. Ward
I'm leaving town today I'm going far away To that land of "Heart's Desire" Fair Hawaii Do you wonder why I'm gay Where somebody waits for me And where it's sunny as can be I know I'll never leave again
never grieve again there beside the sea
Just picture all those scenes those pretty tropic greens where most every one adores you nothing bores you Life is just a happy dream from the rising of the sun Until the joyous day is done That's what the poets rave about Poets crave about Golden days each one
Hula Lou yes I'm coming right back to you My Hula Lou with a heart that is fond and true Oh how I'm sighin' love for your undyin' love That sweet Hawaiian love has won my heart away Soon I'll be where that ukelele melody keeps ringing plaintively On the shores of the Lanai And when the stars are bright out in the pale moonlight we'll do the Hula, Hula, Hula Lou
A Piece Of Sky Composer(s): Marilyn Bergman - Alan Bergman - Michel Legrand Performer(s): Barbra Streisand and multiple other artists
Tell me where Where is it written What it is I'm meant to be? That I can't dare...
It all began the day I found That from my window I could only see A piece of sky I stepped outside and looked around I never dreamed it was so wide Or even half as high
The time had come (papa, can you hear me?) To try my wings (papa, are you near me?) And even thought it seemed at any moment I could fall I felt the most (papa, can you see me?) Amazing things (can you understand me?) The things you can't imagine If you've never flown at all
Though it's safer to stay on the ground Sometimes where danger lies There the sweetest of pleasures are found No matter where I go There'll be mem'ries that tug at my sleeve But there will also be More to question yet more to believe
(oh tell me where Where is the someone who will turn to look at me And want to sahre My ev'ry sweet-imagined possibility?)
The more I live - the more I learn The more I learn - the more I realize The less I know Each step I take (papa, I've a voice now!) Each page I turn (papa, I've a choice now!) Each mile I travel only means The more I have to go What's wrong with wanting more? If you can fly - then soar! With all there is - why settle for Just a piece of sky?
Papa, I can hear you... Papa, I can see you... Papa, I can feel you... Papa, watch me fly!
