Invaders Composer(s): Steve Harris First release by: Iron Maiden - 1982
Longboats have been sighted the evidence of war has begun Many Nordic fighting men their swords and shields all gleam in the sun Call to arms defend yourselves get ready to stand and fight for your lives Judgement day has come around so be prepared don't run stand your ground They're coming in from the sea they've come the enemy beneath the blazing sun the battle has to be won Invaders ... Pillaging Invaders ... Looting Set ablaze the campfires alert the other men from inland Warning must be given there's not enough men here for a stand The Vikings are too many much too powerful to take on our own We must have reinforcements we cannot fight this battle alone They're coming over the hill they've come to attack they're coming in for the kill there's no turning back Invaders ... Fighting Invaders ... Marauding Axes grind and maces clash as wounded fighters fall to the ground Severed limbs and fatal woundings bloody corpses lay all around The smell of death and burning flesh the battle weary fight to the end The Saxons have been overpowered victims of the mighty Norsemen You'd better scatter and run the battle's lost and not won you'd better get away to fight another day Invaders ... Raping Invaders ... Plundering
New York City Blues Composer(s): Phil Cody; Neil Sedaka Performer(s): Neil Sedaka
Life and death in an alleyway Just a heartbeat away from a man Who's learned to turn his head away From the pain that drains the land
Harlem's not too far from here You can smell the garbage, feel the fear I hear they're gonna build a skyscraper there As if we didn't need the extra air
(Chorus) New York City blues In order to win, you gotta lose Old before your time The dirt and the grime Get into everything And the papers love to say It's the meanest town in the USA But I think it's okay It's the town I've made my home
On another side of Park Avenue Respectable folks don't know Hungry eyes take in the view Of the world that lays them low Too many years on a welfare line The old song and dance, time after time You can only get so pushed around Until you wanna tear the damn thing down
New York 85 Composer(s): Nino Ferrer Performer(s): Nino Ferrer

Intoxiqué Composer(s): Charles Aznavour; Gaby Wagenheim Performer(s): Charles Aznavour
Intoxicated Man (English Version: Intoxicated Man by Mick Harvey - 1995) Composer(s): Serge Gainsbourg First release by: Serge Gainsbourg - 1962 Covered by multiple other artists
New Orleans Composer(s): Sid Tepper; Roy C. Bennett Performer(s): Elvis Presley
You'll never know What heaven means Until you've been down to New Orleans You ain't been livin' till you cuddle and coo With some black-eyed baby by de old bayou
You've never seen You've never seen those Cupid doll queens Like they got 'em in New Orleans And, ooh, they love you like no-one can It makes you awful glad that you were born a man
If-if-if you ain't been there Then you ain't been nowhere The livin's lazy and the lovin's fine If you feel low down So help me Hannah You should lose the blues in Loui-si-i-si-ana
Get the lead Get the lead out of your jeans And hot foot it down, hot foot down to where? New Orleans Louisiana baby tells you stay awhile Live it up, love it up, southern style Way down in New Orleans

Into the Valley Betrothed and divine Realisations no virtue But who can define Why soldiers go marching Those masses a line This disease is catching From victory to stone
Ahoy! Ahoy! Land, sea and sky Ahoy! Ahoy! Boy, man and soldier Ahoy! Ahoy! Deceived and then punctured Ahoy! Ahoy! Long may they die
Out of concealment Blank and stark eyed Why so uncertain This culture deceives Prophesised, brainwashed Tomorrow's demise All systems failing The placards unroll
Ahoy! Ahoy! Land, sea and sky Ahoy! Ahoy! Boy, man and soldier Ahoy! Ahoy! Deceived and then punctured Ahoy! Ahoy! Long may they die
Time for the audit The gathering trial A collectors dilemma Repositioned and filed

Into The Mystic Composer(s): Van Morrison First release by: Van Morrison - 1970 Covered by multiple other artists
We were born before the wind Also younger than the sun Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic Hark, now hear the sailors cry Smell the sea and feel the sky Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home And when the fog horn blows I want to hear it I don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul Just like way back in the days of old And magnificently we will flow into the mystic
When that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home And when that fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it I don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul Just like way back in the days of old And together we will flow into the mystic Come on girl...

Y'all come down to New Orleans To the city where the king is the blues Y'all come down to New Orleans Where the rhythm travels down to your shoes

New Math Composer(s): Tom Lehrer Performer(s): Tom Lehrer
Some of you who have small children may have perhaps been put in the embarrassing position of being unable to do your child's arithmetic homework because of the current revolution in mathematics teaching known as the New Math So as a public service here tonight I thought I would offer a brief lesson in the New Math Tonight, we're gonna cover subtraction
This is the first room I've worked for a while that didn't have a blackboard so we will have to make do with more primitive visual aids as they say in the ed biz Consider the following subtraction problem which I will put up here: 342 minus 173 Now, remember how we used to do that: But in the new approach, as you know the important thing is to understand what you're doing rather than to get the right answer Here's how they do it now:
You can't take three from two Two is less than three So you look at the four in the tens place Now that's really four tens So you make it three tens Regroup, and you change a ten to ten ones And you add 'em to the two and get twelve And you take away three, that's nine Is that clear?
Now instead of four in the tens place You've got three 'Cause you added one That is to say, ten, to the two But you can't take seven from three So you look in the hundreds place
From the three you then use one To make ten ones... (And you know why four plus minus one Plus ten is fourteen minus one? 'Cause addition is commutative, right!)... And so you've got thirteen tens And you take away seven And that leaves five...
Well, six actually... But the idea is the important thing!
Now go back to the hundreds place You're left with two And you take away one from two And that leaves...?
Everybody get one? Not bad for the first day!
Hooray for New Math New-hoo-hoo Math It won't do you a bit of good to review math It's so simple So very simple That only a child can do it!
Now, that actually is not the answer that I had in mind because the book that I got this problem out of wants you to do it in base eight But don't panic! Base eight is just like base ten really - if you're missing two fingers! Shall we have a go at it? Hang on...
You can't take three from two Two is less than three So you look at the four in the eights place Now that's really four eights So you make it three eights Regroup, and you change an eight to eight ones And you add 'em to the two And you get one-two base eight Which is ten base ten And you take away three, that's seven Ok?
Now instead of four in the eights place You've got three 'Cause you added one That is to say, eight, to the two But you can't take seven from three So you look at the sixty-fours...
Sixty-four? "How did sixty-four get into it?" I hear you cry! Well, sixty-four is eight squared, don't you see? Well, ya ask a silly question, ya get a silly answer...!
From the three, you then use one To make eight ones You add those ones to the three And you get one-three base eight Or, in other words In base ten you have eleven And you take away seven And seven from eleven is four! Now go back to the sixty-fours You're left with two And you take away one from two And that leaves...?
Now, let's not always see the same hands! One, that's right Whoever got one can stay after the show and clean the erasers
Hooray for New Math New-hoo-hoo Math! It won't do you a bit of good to review math It's so simple So very simple That only a child can do it!
Come back tomorrow night...we're gonna do fractions!
Into The Great Wide Open (Italian Version: Nel Grande Spazio Aperto - 1992) Composer(s): Tom Petty; Jeff Lynne Performer(s): Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - 1991
Eddie waited til' he finished high school He went to Hollywood, got a tattoo He met a girl out there with a tattoo too The future was wide open
They moved into a place they both could afford He found a night club he could work at the door She had a guitar and she taught him some chords The sky was the limit
Into the great wide open Under them skies of blue Out in the great wide open A rebel without a clue
The papers said Ed always played from the heart He got an agent and a roadie named Bart They made a record and it went in the charts The sky was the limit
His leather jacket had chains that would jingle They both met movie stars, partied and mingled Their A&R man said: "I don't hear a single" The future was wide open
Into the great wide open Under them skies of blue Out in the great wide open A rebel without a clue
Into the great wide open Under them skies of blue Into the great wide open A rebel without a clue
New Kid In Town Composer(s): Don Henley; Glenn Frey; J.D. Souther Performer(s): The Eagles; and various other artists
There's talk on the street, it sounds so familiar Great expectations, everybody's watching you People you meet they all seem to know you Even your old friends treat you like you're something new Johnny-come-lately, the new kid in town Everybody loves you, so don't let them down
You look in her eyes, the music begins to play Hopeless romantics, here we go again But after a while you're looking the other way It's those restless hearts that never mend Johnny-come-lately, the new kid in town Will she still love you when you're not around?
There's so many things you should have told her But night after night you're willing to hold her Just hold her, tears on your shoulder
There's talk on the street, it's there to remind you That it doesn't really matter which side you're on You're walking away and they're talking behind you They will never forget you till somebody new comes along
Where you been lately? There's a new kid in town Everybody loves him, don't they? Now he's holding her And you're still around, oh my my There's a new kid in town Just another new kid in town
Oo-hoo, everybody's talking 'bout the new kid in town Oo-hoo, everybody's walking like the new kid in town There's a new kid in town (I don't want to hear it) There's a new kid in town (I don't want to hear it) There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town (Everybody's talking) There's a new kid in town (People started walking) There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town (repeat & fade)
