Bye Bye Baby Composer(s): M. Mallory; E. Vartan Performer(s): Johnny Hallyday & Sylvie Vartan

Progress Is The Root Of All Evil Composer(s): Gene de Paul - Johnny Mercer Performer(s): Howard St. John & Lehman Engel
Progress is the root of all evil Progress is the cause of it all Our living standards now so good, I had to change my neighborhood Where is Levitown? Billionaires are getting old fashioned, labor is the new fangled craze These lousy basic minimums are getting so high The workers in the plant are living better than I My lawyers all advise me that its cheaper to die! Bring back the good old days
Progress is the root of all evil, Wall Street is the worst of the lot How can you break the market now? The SEC will not allow - one little panic Money nowadays is no problem, not with all these new giveaways I went to see a television quiz show today I thought at least Id wind up with a Caddy Coupe But dammit if they didnt try to give me away! Bring back the good old days
Progress is the root of all evil, progress is the cause of it all The world has now progressed so far we dont know where the hell we are ask Harry Truman Gone are all the lovely Strauss waltzes, Rock N Rolls becoming the craze The modern generations taste is really complex The very thing we used to love it quickly rejects Whoever thought that outer space would overtake sex? Bring back the good old days

Oh, Happy Day Composer(s): Gene de Paul - Johnny Mercer Performer(s): Stanley Simmonds, George Reeder, Ralph Linn, Lehman Engel
Oh happy day when miracles take place, and scientists control the human race When we assume authority of human chromosomes And assembly line women, conveyor belt men Settle down in push button homes Oh happy day when all the cells conform, and the exceptional becomes the norm When from a test tube we produce gargantuas or gnomes And assembly line babies, conveyor belt storks Only come to push button homes
So much othis, so much othat, for the ears and eyes So much othat, so much othis for the toes and thighs Pour in a pot, stir up a lot, thats the basic plan What have we got, Ill tell you what weve got man made man!
Oh happy day when we can choose their looks, from formulae in scientific books And add their personalities from psychiatric tomes And assembly line husbands, conveyor belt wives Settle down in push button homes
Oh happy day when all the world can see, a healthy, hearty, hale humanity When even tired busness men have hair up on their domes Slender-ella type mothers; and muscle beach dads Living in gymnasium homes Oh happy day when in collective brains, no individuality remains Well be a race of busy bees in happy honeycombs With automaton couples, mechanical guests, getting gassed in self service homes
Chick after chick, chick after chick, rolling off the line Chick after chick, chick after chick, in the same design Nobody thin, nobody fat, every body stacked We guarantee theyre gonna be firm and fully packed!
Oh happy day when boys and girls on dates, can tell electricly if they are mates If he goes for her kilowatts and she enjoys his ohms You can bet your magnetic, combustible shirt, theyll wind up in high voltage homes
By The Way Composer(s): Cathy Majeski; Stephony Smith Performer(s): Tanya Tucker
Just in case you didn't know And I know baby it's not easy for you to say I'm the one But I can tell by the way you love By the way you smile By the way you say nothin' I can see it all in your eyes
By the way I really need you Everyday of my life Don't worry baby if words escape you
I feel what you're feelin' and that's enough I can tell by the way you love
By the way you smile By the way you say nothin' I can see it all in your eyes By the way I know it's not easy for you to say I'm the one But I can tell by the way you love me I can tell I'm the one by the way you love me
Like You Do Composer(s): Gary Richrath Performer(s): REO Speedwagon
Well I've seen women who cross their legs Before they sit down to the table And I've seen women who look to the sky Screamin lord I believe in the bible And I've seen hookers dancin through times square With their heads held up so high But I've never seen a woman Who makes me feel Woah, like you do
Well I've seen couples holdin hands With that glazy look in their eyes And I've seen lovers rollin round in bed Screamin as if they're gonna die And I've seen lovers holdin hands And then laughin when their back is turned But I've never seen a woman Who makes me feel Woah, like you do
Well I've seen women who cross their legs Before they sit down to the table And I've seen women who look to the sky Screamin lord I believe in the bible And I've seen hookers dancin through times square With their heads held up so high But I've never seen a woman Who makes me feel No I've never seen a woman Who can make me feel Like you do
Like Two Strangers ((Spanish Version: Como Dos Extraños (by Pedro Aznar)) Composer(s): José María Contursí - Pedro Laurenz Performer(s): Pedro Aznar
I got frightened by loneliness and the great fear of dying away from you How I wanted to cry feeling the mockery of reality next to me
And my heart begged me to look for you and to get your love back My heart asked for it and so I sought you thinking you could be my salvation
And now that we're face to face we look, you see, just like two strangers I've finally learnt the lesson, how time changes everything!
Anguish of knowing that dreams and faith have already died Forgive me if you see me shed a tear memories have done me harm
The light of the sun grew pale as I heard you speak so coldly Our love was so different and it hurts to finally realize that everything, everything is over
What a big mistake, to see you again only to walk away with my heart torn to pieces The dead hours of yesterday are like a thousand ghosts as they return to laugh at me
By The Time This Night Is Over Composer(s): Michael Bolton; Andy Goldmark; Diane Warren Performer(s): Peabo Bryson and various other artists
Silence takes over Saying all we need to say Theres endless possibilites In the moves we can make Your kiss is giving every indication If this heart of mine is right
Chorus By the time this night is over The stars are gonna shine on two lovers in love And when the morning comes Its gonna find us together In a love thats just begun By the time this night is over Two hearts are gonna fly to the heavens above And well get closer and closer and closer By the time this night is over
Lets take a slow and easy ride Just lay back, and let love take us over Theres magic here with you and I And its gonna take us all the way Lets find some kind of a deeper conversation And darling if its right
Chorus
A night like this may never come again And you wont want this lie to end Oh baby we can have it all By the time this night is...over
Chorus
Oh, gonna wrap my lovin' arms around you Heaven's gonna smile, gonna smile on two lovers...
Como Dos Extraños ((English Version: Like Two Strangers (by Pedro Aznar)) Composer(s): José María Contursí - Pedro Laurenz Performer(s): Pedro Aznar and multiple other artists
Perdón si me ves lagrimear...
By The Time I Get To Phoenix Composer(s): Jimmy Webb Performer(s): Glen Campbell and various other artists
By the time I get to Phoenix she'll be rising She'll find the note I left hangin' on her door She'll laugh when she reads the part that says I'm leavin' 'Cause I've left that girl so many times before
By the time I make Albuquerque she'll be working She'll prob'ly stop at lunch and give me a call But she'll just hear that phone keep on ringin' Off the wall, that's all
By the time I make Oklahoma she'll be sleepin' She'll turn softly and call my name out loud And she'll cry just to think I'd really leave her Tho' time and time I tried to tell her so She just didn't know I would really go
Like To Get To Know You Composer(s): Stuart Scharf First release by: Spanky & Our Gang - 1968
Yes, I would like to get to know you, if I could Like to get to know you Finally I found, searching all around Just was not the answer One I thought was true Looked a bit like you Figured I might chance her Hardly need to say She went on her way Said it was all over Well it's been some time And I guess that I'm just meant to be a rover
Now I can't promise that I'll spend a day with you Can't promise that I'll find a way with you Can't promise no I can't promise that I'll love you But I'd like to get to know you Yes I would if I could
By The Sleepy Lagoon Composer(s): Jack Lawrence; Eric Coates Performer(s): Harry James and various other artists
A sleepy lagoon, a tropical moon, and two on an island A sleepy lagoon and two hearts in tune, in some far off island The fireflies gleam reflects in the stream They sparkle and shimmer A star from on high falls out of the sky and slowly grows dimmer The leaves from the trees all dance in the breeze and float on the ripples Were deep in a spell as nightingales tell of roses and dew The memory of this moment of love will haunt me forever A tropical moon, a sleepy lagoon and you
The memory of this moment of love will haunt me forever A sleepy lagoon, a tropical moon and you
