Tous les enfants de la Terre
Sont des poètes aux yeux clairs
    C'est la promesse de l'aube
    Sur les forêts d'émeraude
Ils ont tous dans le regard
Deux milles ans de mémoire d'espoir

    Enfants d'amour et d'avenir
Ils ont depuis toujours nos souvenirs
    Tant de choses à dire
Et pour les temps qui viennent
    Leurs sourires nous entraînent

Dans le secret de leurs mains
    Coule une histoire un chemin
Même quand leur mère les embrasse
Elle sait bien que le temps passe
Ils sont venus de la nuit
Pour éclairer un jour la vie

    Enfants d'amour et d'avenir
Ils ont depuis toujours nos souvenirs
    Tant de choses à dire
Et pour les temps qui viennent
    Leurs sourires nous entraînent

    Enfants d'amour et d'avenir
Ils ont depuis toujours nos souvenirs
    Tant de choses à dire
Et pour les temps qui viennent
    Leurs sourires nous entraînent
    Nous entraînent

    Casey Jones
    Mounted to the cabin
    Casey Jones
With his orders in his hand
    Casey Jones
    Mounted to the cabin
And he took his farewell trip to the Promised Land

    Casey Jones
    Goin' to reach Frisco
    Casey Jones
    But we'll all be dead
    Casey Jones
    Goin' to reach Frisco
We're goin' to reach Frisco but we'll all be dead

    Casey Jones
    Two locomotives

    That's a-goin' to bumb
    Casey Jones
    Two locomotives
    There's two locomotives that's a-goin' to bumb

    Mrs. Casey Jones

    Flowers On The Wall
    Composer(s): Lewis DeWitt
    Performer(s): The Statler Brothers;
    The New Christy Minstrels

I keep hearin' you're concerned about my happiness
But all that thought you're givin' me is conscience I guess
If I was walkin' in your shoes, I wouldn't worry none
While you 'n' your friends are worried about me I'm havin' lots of fun

    Chorus
    Countin' flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playin' solitaire till dawn with a deck of fifty-one
Smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothin' to do

Last night I dressed in tails, pretended I was on the town
As long as I can dream it's hard to slow this swinger down
So please don't give a thought to me, I'm really doin' fine
You can always find me here, I'm havin' quite a time

    Chorus

It's good to see you, I must go, I know I look a fright
Anyway my eyes are not accustomed to this light
And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete
So I must go back to my room and make my day complete

    Chorus

Don't tell me I've nothin' to do

    Performer(s): Marvin Gaye
    and multiple other artists

    Gotta get away from you
    Fast as I can
    Too much for me baby
More than my heart can stand
Like a kid behind the wheel
You been reckless with my heart
If I stay around you'll surely tear it all apart
The road's got to end somewhere
Every road has got to end somewhere
Now is the time for the show down
So let me give you the low down
We've come to the end of our road

Just think about all those nights
You left me at home lonely
You only did it cause you knew
    I love you only
Runnin' around with every girl in town
    I'm tellin' you boy
No longer will I be your clown
Sayin' the road's got to end somewhere
Sayin' every road has got to end somewhere
Sick and tired of your stuff
    Said enough is enough
We've come to the end of our road

Ain't no sense in your beggin' and pleadin'
Talkin' bout I'm not the one that you're needin'
Said I done had my fill of you
Hurt me so through the years
I've done sure enough run out of tears
Telling you I couldn't cry if I wanted to
Said the road's got to end somewhere
Well now every road has got to end somewhere
Time and again I begged you to slow down
So I'm givin' you the low down
We've come to the end of our road

Casey Jones Composer(s): Robert Hunter - Jerry Garcia First release by: Grateful Dead - 1970

Driving that train, high on cocaine
Casey Jones you better watch your speed
    Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind

This old engine makes it on time
Leaves Central Station 'bout a quarter to nine
Hits River Junction at seventeen to
At a quarter to ten you know it's travlin' again

Driving that train, high on cocaine
Casey Jones you better watch your speed
    Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind

    Trouble ahead, lady in red
Take my advice you'd be better off dead
Switchman's sleeping, train Hundred and Two is
On the wrong track and headed for you

Driving that train, high on cocaine
Casey Jones you better watch your speed
    Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind

Trouble with you is the trouble with me
Got two good eyes but you still don't see
Come round the bend, you know it's the end
The fireman screams and the engine just gleams...

Flowers Never Bend With The Rainfall
    Composer(s): Paul Simon
    Performer(s): Simon & Garfunkel

    Through the corridors of sleep
Past the shadows dark and deep
My mind dances and leaps in confusion
I don't know what is real
    I can't touch what I feel
And I hide behind the shield of my illusion

    So, I'll continue to continue
    To pretend
That my life will never end
And that flowers never bend with the rainfall

The mirror on my wall casts an image dark and small
But I'm not sure at all it's my reflection
I am blinded by the light
Of God and Truth and Right
And I wander in the night without direction

    (refrain)

It's no matter if you're born to play the king or pawn
For the line is thinly drawn 'tween joy and sorrow
And so my fantasy becomes reality
And I must be what I must be and face tomorrow

    (refrain)

((Adapted from: The Universal Soldier (Buffy Sainte-Marie) - 1964))
    Composer(s): Buffy Sainte-Marie - Herbert Pagani
    Performer(s): Claus - 1966

    Versions In Other Languages:
1965 - De Eeuwige Soldaat (Boudewijn de Groot)
    1966 - Je T'aime (Sheila)

    È bianco, è nero, è biondo, è bruno
Combatte con le atomiche e le spade
    Ha più di quarant’anni
    e ne ha solo diciannove
combatte da quando è nato l’uomo

    È ateo, indu, cattolico, ebreo
    buddista, metodista, puritano
    Capisce di far male
    fa solo il suo dovere
uccide me per te amico mio

Casetta In Canadà Composer(s): Vittorio Mascheroni - Mario Panzeri First release by: Carla Boni, Gino Latilla, Duo Fasano - 1957 Covered by multiple other artists

Versions In Other Languages: 1957 - Le Ranch De Maria (Dalida) 1964 - TV - Truut (De Strangers)

e a piedi poveretto senza casa lui restò
"Allora cosa fece?"

    Allora cosa fece?
    Voi tutti lo sapete!

    Flowers In The Rain
    Composer(s): Roy Wood
    Performer(s): The Move;
    Joe Bourne; Nancy Sinatra

Woke up one morning half asleep
With all my blankets in a heap
and yellow roses gathered all around me
the time was still approaching four
    I couldn't stand it anymore
Saw marigolds upon my eider down

I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain making the garden grow
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain keeping me cool

So I lay upon my side with all the windows opened wide
Couldn't pressurize my head from speaking
Hoping not to make a sound I pushed my bed into the grounds
In time to catch the sight that I was seeking

I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain making the garden grow
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain keeping me cool

If this perfect pleasure has the key
Then this is how it has to be
    If my pillow's getting wet
I don't see that it matters much to me

I heard the flowers in the breeze make conversation with the trees
Believed to leave reality behind me
With my commitments in a mess my sleep has gone away depressed
In a world of fantasy you'll find me

I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain making the garden grow
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain keeping me cool

    Performer(s): Sheila - 1966

    Versions In Other Languages:
1965 - De Eeuwige Soldaat (Boudewijn de Groot)
    1966 - Soldato Universale (Claus)

Caserne Composer(s): Guy Thomas - Jean Ferrat Performer(s): Jean Ferrat

    Flowers For Madame
    Composer(s): Murray Mencher;

    Performer(s): Bob Crosby

    Flowers for Madame
I bring you lovely flowers, sweet Madame
And though they may be beautiful to see
They could never be as beautiful as you

    Every tender rose
May tell you what I'm trying to disclose
So won't you press them closely to your heart
That they may impart the love I hold for you

These precious moments when we meet
    Are like a glorious bouquet
    But they would be complete
If you gave me the right to say, "I adore you"

    Flowers for Madame
I bring you lovely flowers, sweet Madame
And in my heart I'm hoping that perchance
They will start romance, these flowers for Madame

The End Of A Love Affair
    Composer(s): Edward Redding
    Performer(s): Julie London
    and multiple other artistss

So I walk a little too fast, and I drive a little too fast
And I'm reckless it's true, but what else can you do
At the end of a love affair?

So I talk a little too much, and I laugh a little too much
And my voice is too loud when I'm out in a crowd
So that people are apt to stare

Do they know, do they care, that it's only
That I'm lonely, and low as can be?
And the smile on my face isn't really a smile at all

So I smoke a little too much, and I joke a little too much
And the tunes I request are not always the best
But the ones where the trumpets blare

So I go at a maddening pace, and I pretend that it's taking his place
But what else can you do at the end of a love affair?

Cäsars Tod (Rom War Eine Stadt)
    Composer(s): Kurt Weill
    Performer(s): Ute Lemper

The little boy went first day of school
He got some crayons and started to draw
He put colors all over the paper
For colors was what he saw
    And the teacher said..
    What you doin' young man
    I'm paintin' flowers he said
    She said...
It's not the time for art young man
And anyway flowers are green and red
There's a time for everything young man
And a way it should be done
You've got to show concern for everyone else
For you're not the only one

    And she said...
    Flowers are red young man
    Green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than they way they always have been seen

    But the little boy said...
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see every one

    Well the teacher said..
    You're sassy
There's ways that things should be
And you'll paint flowers the way they are
    So repeat after me.....

    And she said...
    Flowers are red young man
    Green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than they way they always have been seen

    But the little boy said...
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see every one

The teacher put him in a corner
    She said..
    It's for your own good..
And you won't come out 'til you get it right
And are responding like you should
    Well finally he got lonely
    Frightened thoughts filled his head
And he went up to the teacher
And this is what he said.. and he said

Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen

Time went by like it always does
And they moved to another town
And the little boy went to another school
And this is what he found
    The teacher there was smilin'
    She said...
    Painting should be fun
And there are so many colors in a flower
    So let's use every one

But that little boy painted flowers
In neat rows of green and red
And when the teacher asked him why
This is what he said.. and he said

Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen

    Flowers And Beads
    Composer(s): Doug Ingle
    Performer(s): Iron Butterfly

Girl I just know I love you now...

Flowers and beads are one thing
But having a girl is something
That's if you got a girl who loves you
and thinks the whole wide world of you
Flowers and beads are one thing
but having you girl that's something
That's 'cause I know you love me only
and that you'll never leave my hear lonely

    Chorus:
Girl, he just knows he loves you now

You're all I talk about and everything I say and
Girl, I just know I love you now
Girl, I love you, I love you and need you in my lifetime

Girl, I just know I love you
Don't you think my love is true?
Girl, I just know I want you
Don't you think my love is true?

Flowers and beads are one thing
but having a girl is something
That's if you got a girl who loves you
and thinks the whole wide world of you
Flowers and beads are one thing
but having you girl that's something
That's 'cause I know you love me only
and that you'll never leave my hear lonely

Don't you think my love is true?
Girl, I just know I want you
Don't you think my love is true?

    The Emperor Waltz
Composer(s): Johann Strauss II - Johnny Burke
    Performer(s): Bing Crosby
    and multiple other artists

Life is a dream, yet it's so real
Hard to explain, just how you feel
Deep in your heart, joy seems to dwell
Like poets say, it's perfectly swell

In every step, of this old dance
There is delight, love and romance
If you are the one, give me the few
And I am sure there's no one like you

    You are all I dream
You are a part of my heart and esteem
    And since I've met you
Now I know that dreams do come true

Love is a dream, yet it's so real
Hard to explain, just how you feel
Deep in your heart, joy seems to dwell
Like poets say, it's perfectly swell

    Casanova
    Composer(s): Bryan Ferry
First release by: Roxy Music - 1974

    You - the hero
    So many times
    You´ve loved
    And didn´t linger
    Now my finger
    Points at you
    - Another loser
    You - an island
    On your own
    Complete
    In every detail
    Monumental
    A precious jewel
    Or just a fool
    Innovator
    It´s in your mind
    And blood
    I watch it simmer
    I see you´re courting
    More despair
    No hope?
    Not a glimmer
    Now you´re nothing
    But second hand
    In glove
    With second rate now
    Now you´re flirting
    With heroin
    - Or is it cocaine?
    Casanova -
    Is that your name
    Or do you live there?
    I know my place
    Is here with you
    Tonight
    But not together
