A man went to his boss one day

The boss said
"That's no problem son, come in and take a pew
And we'll figure it out together

And in accordance to the work you do for us, lad
You'll get what is due"

"Now, there's three hundred and sixty-five days in the year
I'll write that at the top," he said
"Oh, this year's a leap year, I almost forgot
That's three hundred and sixty-six instead"

"You work eight hours a day for us
That's eight out of twenty-four, that's one-third of a day you do
And a third of three hundred and sixty-six
Is one hundred and twenty-two"

"Now you don't work Sundays, and there's fifty-two in a year"
Hmmmmmm, "I take that away from this number we've got
From that one hundred and twenty-two days
That leaves seventy days, is that clear?"

"And you don't work Saturdays, and there's fifty-two of them
That leaves eighteen days overall
You take away four bank holidays . . .
And two weeks annual leave . . . .
You Don't Work For Us At All!"
