One say sometimes of me he is two times a day in the pit;then I see people feel sympathy for me.But the sympathy doesn’t continues when I say them it is not mental but a real pit in the milkroom where we milk the cows.Since my wife and I are retired,ten years ago,and live two km of the farm of my son;every morning I get up at 6,30u and cycle to the farm,first helping milk the cows and then other work.In the afternoon about 2 u again cycling to the farm,and for the finish we milk for the second time the cows around 5 u.I come home about 7 u and so I cycle eight km a day.

But don’t think that I am a workaholic !!! I like also days where I don’t have to work ! My wife andI we go sometimes out to visite one of our six married children.One of them lives in Gent,one in Brugge,two in Ieper,one in Veurne and one the farm in Oostvleteren.We have already ten grandchildren,so we have to celebrate a lot of birthdays and other anniversaries.

The English lesson is also a tasteful alternative,we have a good group elderly pupils and a young exellent teacher Caroline.
