The Return Of The Red Baron
    Performer(s): The Royal Guardsmen

(plane crash, laughing and "Der curse little klinehund Snoopy")
You remember that baron flying high in the sky
When Snoopy shot him down with a gleam in his eye
But that baron had leaped from his blood-red plane
Just before it burst into a ball of flame
Snoopy circled back to check his kill
Saw the bloody red baron standing high on a hill
    Then he swooped down low
    Shouted "Curse you red baron!"
The German shook his fist you could hear him swear "Ach der lieber!"
    Hey watch out little Snoopy
    You're really in a mess
You thought you were through with the bloody red baron
But it looks like he's not down yet
Then a cry went up all over the land
The bloody red baron would strike again
But brave little Snoopy said "Never fear"
As he headed for his plane all the people cheered (Yeeaaaahhhh!)
    Hey watch out little Snoopy
    You're really in a mess
You thought you were through with the bloody red baron
But it looks like he's not down yet
Snoopy blazed a trail straight across the sea
Searching in vain for his enemy
Then he found that German trying to fix his plane
A-sweatin' and a-cussin' about to go insane
    Take it

Snoopy landed for a pistol duel
    The baron was worried
    Snoopy was cool
He fired a shot and missed
    Started to run
Before Snoopy had a chance to raise his gun
    Hey watch out red baron
    Snoopy is on your trail
One of these days he's gonna make you pay
    And you'll go straight to
    Well watch out red baron
    Snoopy is on your trail
One of these days he's gonna make you pay
    And you'll go straight to
    Well watch out red baron...

    Composer(s): Serge Gainsbourg
    Performer(s): Serge Gainsbourg

    Quel tombeur!
    Requiem pour un twister

Dites-moi tout ça n'pouvait pas durer
    Le contraire m'eût étonné
Je crois quant à moi que c'est le cœur qui a lâché
    Quelle horreur!
    Requiem pour un twister

The Return Of Abdul Abulbul Amir
    Composer(s): Frank Crumit
    Performer(s): Frank Crumit

By the sea of Sargossa I wandered one night
The moon it was shining quite clear
For no reason at all I heard someone call
    For Abdul Abulbul Amir

Now Abdul Abulbul I knew to be dead
The story had spread near and far
How he lost his life while plunging his knife
    Into Ivan Skavinsky Skavar

While I pondered the moonbeams descended quite low
    Casting shadows suffusely, and then
I discovered that I was standing close by
The tombs of those two famous men

Then in the tombs shadows there rose from a grave
The form of a Russian Hussar
And my skin nearly peeled, as he stood there revealed
    It was Ivan Skavinsky Skavar

'Twas he who was calling, I hardly dared breathe
My heart 'most stopped beating from fear
When out of a grave, in need of a shave
    Arose Abdul Abulbul Amir

"Well, wouldst speak with me Ivan?", quoth Abdul quite low
"I wouldst", replied Ivan quite clear
"That quarrel we had, 'twas all to the bad
    Friend Abdul Abulbul Amir"

"I've lain here for ages with that on my mind
And that's why I called you tonight"
"Well, I'm in the same state", quoth Abdul the great
"Twas foolish for we two to fight"

"Oh friend, thou art blameless", cried Ivan in haste
"The fault lies in my hands alone"
But Abdul said "Nay, 'twas never that way
The fault was no one's but mine own"

"Well, dost think I'm a coward?", quoth Ivan Skavar
"Step forth and I'll slice off thine ear"
"Oh, son of a cat, you'll never do that"
    Quoth Abdul Abulbul Amir

So once more they battled and fought as before
    The multitudes came from afar
And lauded with cheers these bold buccaneers
This Turk, and this Russian Hussar

The ghost of the Czar on a fiery black steed
Came rushing to witness the fray
While the Sultan sat there in his royal gold chair
It was just like a scene from a play

'Twas just at that moment each sword found its mark
    And I heard a blood-curdling scream
I opened my eyes and to my surprise
I found it was only a dream

Every time in the world someone receives first aid You can thank Clara Barton for the life that is saved She lived out her life in a world ruled by men Every time they knocked her down she got back up again Clara Barton Civil war veterans with tears in their eyes Told how she braved the battle just to save their lives She never ran from the shot and the shell Bringing aid and comfort in the midst of hell And even then at the war's very end When the prisoners were lost and without friends She helped families to find those that they loved A professional angel sent from up above Thank the lord for Clara Barton and long live her name The American Red Cross is her claim to fame When you see a Red Cross worker in a time of flood or war Take a moment to remember... and thank the lord... for Clara Barton!

    Voy buscando un amor
    que quiera comprender
    la alegría y el dolor
    la ira y el placer
un bello amor sin un final
    que olvidé para perdonar
    es más fácil encontrar
    rosas en el mar

    Rosas en el mar

    Voy buscando la razón
    de tanta falsedad
    La mentira es obsesión
    y falsa la verdad
    Qué ganarán, qué perderán
    si todo esto pasará
    es más fácil encontrar
    rosas en el mar

    Rosas en el mar

    Voy pidiendo libertad
    y no quería oír
    Es una necesidad
    para poder vivir
    La libertad, la libertad
    derecho de la humanidad
    Es más fácil encontrar
    rosas en el mar

    Rosas en el mar

    Requiem Pour Un Fou
    Composer(s): Gérard Layani; Giles Thibaut
    Performer(s): Johnny Hallyday; Lara Fabian

    Relay
    Composer(s): Pete Townshend
First release by: The Who - 1972

You can hear it in the street
See it in the dragging feet
The word is getting out about control
    Spies they're come and gone
    The story travels on
The only quiet place is inside your soul

    From tree to tree
    From you to me
Travelling twice as fast as on any freeway
    Ev'ry single dream
Is wrapped up in the scheme
They all get carried on the relay

    "Pass it on"

    Someone disapproves
Of what you say or do
I was asked to see what I could learn you
    Don't believe your eyes
    They're seeing only lies
What is done in the first place don't concern you

    From tree to tree...

    Relay, things are brewing
    Relay, something's doin'
    Relay, it's a revolution
    Relay, relay
    Hand me down a solution!

    "Pass it on"

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux toujours danser
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    Il y a longtemps déjà
    Il y a longtemps d'ennui
Il y a longtemps de toi

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux toujours chanter
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    Tombé au champ d'amour
    Pour un prénom de fille
    Qui m'avait dit toujours

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux toujours tourner
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    De m'être trop trompé
    De m'être trop meurtri
    De m'être trop donné

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux me bousculer
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    Fusillé par une fleur
    Au poteau de son lit
De douze rires dans le cœur

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux toujours crier
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    Il y a mille soirs
    Il y a mille nuits
    Il n'y a plus d'espoir

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux bien me saouler
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    A Paris que j'enterre
    Et depuis mille nuits
Dans le fond de mon verre

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu peux carnavaler
    Carnaval à Rio
    Tu n'y peux rien changer
    Je suis mort à Paris
    Que la mort me console
    La mort est par ici
    La mort est espagnole

    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant
    Je t'aimais tant, Clara
    Je t'aimais tant

    Requiem Pour Un Con
    Composer(s): Serge Gainsbourg
    Performer(s): Serge Gainsbourg

    Écoute les orgues
    Elles jouent pour toi
    Il est terrible cet air-là
    J'espère que tu aimes
    C'est assez beau non
C'est le requiem pour un con

Je l'ai composé spécialement pour toi
    À ta mémoire de scélérat
    C'est un joli thème
    Tu ne trouves pas, non
    Semblable à toi-même
    Pauvre con

    Voici les orgues
    Qui remettent ça
Faut qu't'apprennes par cœur cet air-là
    Que tu n'aies pas même
    Une hésitation
Sur le requiem pour un con

    Quoi tu me regardes
    Tu n'apprécies pas
    Mais qu'est-ce qu'y a là-dedans
    Qui t'plaît pas
    Pour moi c'est idem
    Que ça t'plaise ou non
    J'te l'rejoue quand même
    Pauvre con

    Écoute les orgues
    Elles jouent pour toi
    Il est terrible cet air-là
    J'espère que tu aimes
    C'est assez beau non
C'est le requiem pour un con
Je l'ai composé spécialement pour toi
    À ta mémoire de scélérat
    Sur ta figure blême
    Aux murs des prisons
    J'inscrirai moi-même: «Pauvre con»

Composer(s): Peter Gormley - Bruce Welch - Hank Marvin
First release by: Cliff Richard and The Shadows - 1961
    Covered by multiple other artists

    Mummy says no
    Daddy says no
    Brother says no
But they all got to go

    'Cause we say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah)

    If we didn't go ahead
And thought of all they said
Might as well give up, man
We might as well be dead

    'Cause we say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah)

Now we're moving to the front, baby
    We'll sing another song
The older ones, they taught us
    They're all dead and gone

    'Cause we say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah)

    We'll aim for the sky
    And keep on shooting high
    Forget about those problems baby
    Don't just sit and sigh

    'Cause we say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah)

    Umm, now mummy says yeah
    And daddy says yeah
    My brother says yeah
    Maybe they're not so square

    We all say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We all say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah-yeah)
    We say yeah (yeah)

Clap For The Wolfman Composer(s): Burton Cummings - Kurt Winter Performer(s): The Guess Who and multiple other artists

    Clap for the Wolfman
He gonna rate your record high
    Clap for the Wolfman
You gonna dig him til the day you die

Do Ron Ron and the Duke of Earl
    They were friend's of mine
The highway's on my moonlight drive
Snuggled in, said "baby, just one kiss"
    She said "no, no, no"
    Romance ain't keepin' me alive
I said "hey babe, do you want to coo, coo, coo"
    She said "uh, uh, uh"
So I was left out in the cold
I said "you're what I've been dreamin' of"
She said "I don't want to know"
(Wolfman Jack: "Oh you know, she was diggin' the cat on the radio")

    Clap for the Wolfman
He gonna rate your record high
(WJ: "Yes baby, I your doctor in love")
    Clap for the Wolfman
You gonna dig him til the day you die
(WJ: "Everybody talkin' about the Wolfman's confidence of love")

Seventy five, eighty miles an hour
    She hollers "slow, slow, slow"
"Baby I can stop right on a dime"
I said "hey baby, give me just one kiss"
    She said "no, no, no"
But how was I to bide my time
I said "Hey baby, do you want to coo, coo, coo"
    She said "uh, uh, uh"
    Said I'm about to overload
I said "you're what I've been livin' for"
She said "I don't want to know"
(WJ: "Oh, you thought she was digging you but she was digging me")

    Clap for the Wolfman
He gonna rate your record high
(WJ: "As long as you got the curves baby, I got the angles")
    Clap for the Wolfman
You gonna dig him til the day you die
(WJ: "It's all accoridng to how your boogaloo situation stands, you understand")

    Clap for the Wolfman
He gonna rate your record high
(WJ: "You ain't gonna get 'em, cuz I got 'em")
    Clap for the Wolfman
You gonna dig him til the day you die
(WJ: "You might wanna try, but I'm gonna keep 'em")
    Clap for the Wolfman
    Clap for the Wolfman
(WJ: "And I got 'em all")

    Requiem Pour N'Importe Qui
    Composer(s): Georges Moustaki
    Performer(s): Georges Moustaki

    The Reflex
Composer(s): Roger Taylor - Simon Le Bon - John Taylor - Nick Rhodes - Andy Taylor
First release by: Duran Duran - 1983

You gone too far this time but I'm dancing on the valentine
I tell you somebody's fooling around with my chances on the dangerline
I'll cross that bridge when I find itanother day to make my stand
high time is no time for deciding if I should find a helping hand

so why don't you lose it try not to bruise it buy time don't lose it
the reflex is an only child he's waiting in the park
the reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
and watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre

every little thing the reflex does leaves you answered with a question mark
I'm on a ride and I want to get off but they won't slow down the round about
I sold the renoir and the tv set don't want to be around when this gets out
the reflex is an only child he's waiting by the park
the reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
and watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre

every little thing the reflex does is an answer with a question mark
the reflex is an only child he's waiting by the park
the reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
and watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre

every little thing the reflex does leaves me answered with a question mark
oh the reflex what a game he's hiding all the cards
the reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
and watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre

every little thing the reflex does leaves you answered with a question mark

Clancy Of The Overflow Composer(s): Banjo Patterson - Tony Latimer Performer(s): Tony Latimer and multiple other artists

I had written him a letter which I had, for want of better knowledge
sent to where I met him down the Lachlan, years ago
He was shearing when I knew him, so I sent the letter to him
Just "on spec", addressed as follows: "Clancy of The Overflow"

And an answer came directed in a writing unexpected
(And I think the same was written with a thumbnail dipped in tar)
'Twas his shearing mate who wrote, and verbatim I will quote it
"Clancy's gone to Queensland droving, and we don't know where he are"

In my wild erratic fancy visions come to me of Clancy
Gone a-droving down the Cooper where the Western drovers go
As the stock are slowly stringing, Clancy rides behind them singing
For the drover's life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know

And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him
In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars
And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended
And at night, the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars

I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy
Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall
And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty city
Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all

And in place of lowing cattle, I can hear the fiendish rattle
Of the tramways and the buses making hurry down the street
And the language uninviting of the gutter children fighting
Comes fitfully and faintly through the ceaseless tramp of feet

And the hurrying people daunt me, and their pallid faces haunt me
As they shoulder one another in their rush and nervous haste
With their eager eyes and greedy, and their stunted forms and weedy
For the townsfolk have no time to grow, they have no time to waste

And I'd somehow rather fancy that I'd like to change with Clancy
Like to take a turn at droving where the seasons come and go
While he faced the round eternal of the cashbook and the journal
But I'd doubt he'd suit the office, Clancy of The Overflow

    Requiem For The Masses
    Composer(s): Terry Kirkman
    Performer(s): The Association

    Requiem aeternam, requiem aeternam
    (Eternal rest, eternal rest)

    Mama, mama, forget your pies
Have faith they won't get cold
And turn your eyes to the bloodshot sky
    Your flag is flying full

At half mast, for the matadors
Who turned their backs to please the crowd
And all fell before the bull

Red was the color of his blood flowing thin
Pallid white was the color of his lifeless skin
Blue was the color of the morning sky
He saw looking up from the ground where he died
It was the last thing ever seen by him

    Kyrie, Eleison
    (Lord, have mercy on us)

    Mama, mama, forget your pies
Have faith they won't get cold
And turn your eyes to the bloodshot sky
    Your flag is flying full

At half mast, for the matadors
Who turned their backs to please the crowd
    And fell before the bull

Black and white were the figures that recorded him
Black and white was the newsprint he was mentioned in
Black and white was the question that so bothered him
He never asked, he was taught not to ask
But was on his lips as they buried him

    Rex tremendae majestatis
    (King of tremendous majesty)

    Requiem aeternam, Requiem aeternam

    (Funeral cadence, drums)

    The Red Lantern
    Performer(s): Fred Fisher

The Chinese tell a story that's full of mystic glory
of the Orient, a tale of wonderment
by the temple walls, each night
they burn a red, red lantern bright
to their ancient warrior maid they pray

From English sire descended her blood with China blended
eyes of Saxon blue, skin of yellow hue
at the call of war's command
her heart turned to her Motherland
ever more they honor her and say

Shine on Red Lantern, through the gloomy night
Over fields of white, Shine on Red Lantern
over poppies bright, where she sleeps tonight
While temple bells to the God of war is calling
While thru the moonlight the yellow dragons crawling
Come with sword in hand, save your China land
Shine on Red Lantern, send your silver beams
    Over hills and streams
Shine on Red Lantern till the morning gleams
    Wake her from her dreams
Sound the tom tom till they come
Beat the cymbal and the drum
Shine on Red Lantern shine on

Clancy Lowered The Boom Composer(s): Hy Heath - John Lange Performer(s): Dennis Day and multiple other artists

Now Clancy was a peaceful man
If you know what I mean
The cops picked up the pieces
    After Clancy left the scene
    He never looked for trouble
That's a fact you can assume
But never-the-less when trouble would press
    Clancy lowered the boom!

Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up
    Clancy lowered the boom!

    O'Leary was a fighting man
They all knew he was tough
    He strutted 'round the neighborhood
    A-shootin' off his guff
He picked a fight with Clancy
Then and there he sealed his doom
Before you could shout "O'Leary, look out!"
    Clancy lowered the boom!

Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up
    Clancy lowered the boom!

    O'Hollihan delivered ice
    To Misses Clancy's flat
He'd always linger for a while
To talk of this and that
    One day he kissed her
Just as Clancy walked into the room
Before you could say the time of day
    Clancy lowered the boom!

Oh, that Clancy, Oh that Clancy
Whenever they got his Irish up
    Clancy lowered the boom!

Sure it was the most beautiful sight you ever did see
    when Clancy Lowered The Boom

    Requiem For An Angel
    Composer(s): Jorma Kaukonen
    Performer(s): Jorma Kaukonen

Wait for tomorrow, it'll be better than today
Wait for tomorrow, child and let it be the words that I say
Well the sun's gonna shine, ain't gonna change my mind, no way!
When that new day comes, I know I won't be seeing no grey
Well everybody's trying to make me change my mind
My friend's tell me I'm just wasting my time
Well I don't care cause I'm living blind or crazy
I wouldn't lose my mind, but all I can find is trouble
Well, though the going gets rough, I just slide on by on the double
And though that highway calls, I fly through the sky like a bubble
Ah, when the new day comes I'll be feeling fine and traveling alone!
Well everybody's trying to make me change my mind
My friend's tell me I'm just wasting my time
Well I don't care cause I'm living blind or crazy

    The Real Truth
Composer(s): Steve Lukather - Fee Waybill
    Performer(s): Steve Lukather

    Disguise the emptiness, the disdain
Late calls, long halls with words no one hears
Reveals the loneliness and the years

Like going backwards in a revolving door
    I don't know which way's out anymore

I can't run from the real truth
And not be living a lie
You can't hide from the fate chasing you
And watch it, from somebody else's eyes

Cold hearts, cruel thoughts can destroy the faith
Just ask the sinner who fell from Grace
But things change and strange days can turn a point of view
Just time till eveyone gets their due

I may not save the world but I'll save myself
    Can't depend on somebody else

I can't run from the real truth
And not be living a lie
You can't hide from the fate chasing you
And watch it, from somebody else's eyes

I can't run from the real truth
And not be living a lie
You can't hide from the fate chasing you
    And watch it

I can't run from the real truth
And not be living a lie
You can't hide from the fate chasing you
And watch it, from somebody else's eyes
