Presently in the EU INSTITUTIONS are there vieuws thad the EU schould develop a EUROPEAN-FAA

EUROPEAN UNION
AVIATION AUTHORITY ( EUAA)
Some clarification from my involvement
During my presence at the NATO from 1956 till 1961 dit I become a
subscriber of the
WORLD CITIZEN CHARTER
In 1980 beeing retired from the military as PILOT LT/AVN dit i become the LIAISON OFFICER for IAOPA at the EC in BRUSSELS for
GENERAL AVIATION & AERIAL WORK OPERATIONS
At thad time whe where only two PILOTS present in the EC-ARENA and whe where convinced thad there was a need for a ECAA for the 12 EC memberstates
Via lobbying dit whe obtain the initiation of the JAA and later the EASA
Now their is the intention to develop a EUAA similar the the FAA in the USA
However a number of the larger CAA in the EU are dreaming thad they would become this SINGEL AUTHORITY in the EU of 28
( soon 29 members)
In vieuw of this the UK, FRANCE and GERMANY are trying to become the leading EU-AUTHORITY instead of the EASA
also in the SINGEL AUROPEAN SKY ( AIRSPACE) are the trying to be the SINGEL EU-ATC ORGANISATION
According my personnel feeling the UK-CAA is taking the leading in this EUAA and the GERMAN DFS in the EU-SINGEL SKY project
