Le Nom Que Tu Portes

Le Nom Que Tu Portes
Composer(s): Jon Bon Jovi - Richie Sambora
Performer(s): Johnny Hallyday

Être libre, c'est n'obéir
Qu'aux seules lois qu'on s'impose
Avoir une raison de vivre
De mourir pour quelque chose
Alors
C'est à toi de choisir
Alors
Je n'ai rien d'autre à dire
Sinon

Crier
Jusqu'à ce qu'on t'entende
Crier

Black Ghost Blues

Black Ghost Blues
Composer(s): Lightnin' Hopkins
Performer(s): Lightnin' Hopkins

Black ghost, black ghost, please stay away from my door
Black ghost, black ghost, will you please stay away from my door
Yeah you know you worry po' Lightnin' so now, I just can't sleep no more

Yeah you know I go to dreaming first night, black ghost is all po'
Lightnin' can see
I go to dreaming first night, black ghost is all po' Lightnin' can see
You know that's why I begin to wonder why you keeps on worryin' me

Black ghost is a picture, and the black ghost is a shadow too
Whoa black ghost is a picture, and the black ghost is a shadow too
You just can see him, but you can't hear him talkin'
Ain't nothin' else that a black ghost can do

Black Ghost Blues!

Le Noceur

Le Noceur
Composer(s): Francis Cabrel
Performer(s): Francis Cabrel

Elle a dit: no sir, no sir
Elle a dit: no sir, no sir
Elle a dit: no sir, no sir
Elle a dit: no sir, no sir
Hey, elle a dit: no sir

Black Gang Chine

Black Gang Chine
Composer(s): Andy Mackay; Phil Manzanera; James Wraith
Performer(s): Phil Manzanera

Up on Black Gang Chine
The cool, cool wind through my hair
Up on Black Gang Chine
I made a promise there
To give myself a long time
And not to despair
Up on Black Gang Chine
I don't know, there's something in the air

She's gone and I'm waiting
Some things just ain't meant to be
She's gone and I'm waiting
Oh ohh

Feelings of anger
Feelings that won't set me free
Ooh I want to hurt you
But I'll just hurt me
We move with the moment
Move with the music
Move to the rhythm of the sea
Move with the moment
Move with the music
Move to the rhythm of the sea

She's gone and I'm waiting
Some things just ain't meant to be
She's gone and I'm waiting
Oh ohh

She's gone never coming back again
She's gone no coming back
She's gone and I'm waiting
She's gone never coming back again
She's gone

Le Nez

Le Nez
((Dutch Version: De Neus (Herman van Veen) - 1968))
Composer(s): Charles Aznavour
First release by: Marcel Amont - 1965

Nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez
Nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez

Nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez, nez

Black Crow Blues

Black Crow Blues
Composer(s): Bob Dylan
Originally performed by: Bob Dylan
Covered by: Michel Montecrossa

I woke in the mornin', wand'rin'
Wasted and worn out
I woke in the mornin', wand'rin'
Wasted and worn out
Wishin' my long-lost lover
Will walk to me, talk to me
Tell me what it's all about

I was standin' at the side road
Listenin' to the billboard knock
Standin' at the side road
Listenin' to the billboard knock
Well, my wrist was empty
But my nerves were kickin'
Tickin' like a clock

If I got anything you need, babe
Let me tell you in front
If I got anything you need, babe
Let me tell you in front
You can come to me sometime
Night time, day time
Any time you want

Sometimes I'm thinkin' I'm
Too high to fall
Sometimes I'm thinkin'
I'm too high to fall
Other times I'm thinkin' I'm
So low I don't know
If I can come up at all

Black crows in the meadow
Across a broad highway
Black crows in the meadow
Across a broad highway
Though it's funny, honey
I just don't feel much like a
Scarecrow today

De Neus

De Neus
((Adapted from: Le Nez (Marcel Amont) - 1965))
Composer(s): Charles Aznavour - Harrie Geelen
Performer(s): Herman van Veen - 1968

Er is een reuze keuze neuzen
in de kleuren rood en paars
de kwaliteit laat minder keuze
goede neuzen zijn zeer schaars
Platte neuzen, pimpelneuzen
paars boegbeeld op een dronken schip
een kleine keuze matineuzen
't aardbeitype, mop en wip

Zo ook de neus van de politie
wonderbaarlijk apparaat
even snuffen aan je fietsie

De neus, men moet hem eens in 't jaar gedenken
op een winderige dag
in 't najaar
als men weer eens
van een griepplaag spreken mag

De Gaulle, waar zou die stakker wezen
als die parel hem ontbrak
laat staan de politieke zaken
waar hij steeds dat ding in stak
Denk aan Cyrano uitsluitend
zeg mij, waarmee zitten wij
in een zakdoek krachtig snuitend
op de allereerste rij

De neus, o spreidt uw zo nerveuze vleugels
snuif en snotter onverveerd
o, neus, laat vieren alle teugels
gelijk een briesend peerd

Black Denim Trousers And Motorcycle Boots

Black Denim Trousers And Motorcycle Boots ((French Version: L'homme À La Moto (by Edith Piaf) - 1956)) Composer(s): Mike Stoller - Jerry Leiber First release by: The Cheers - 1955 Covered by multiple other artists

He wore black denim trousers and motorcycle boots
And a black leather jacket with an eagle on the back!
He had a hopped-up 'cycle that took off like a gun!
That fool was the terror of Highway 101!

Well, he never washed his face and he never combed his hair
He had axle grease imbedded underneath his fingernails!
On the muscle of his arm was a red tattoo
A picture of a heart saying "Mother, I love you"!

He had a pretty girlfriend by the name of Mary Lou
But he treated her just like he treated all the rest!
And everybody pitied her 'cause everybody knew
He loved that doggone motorcycle best!

He wore black denim trousers and motorcycle boots
And a black leather jacket with an eagle on the back!
He had a hopped-up 'cycle that took off like a gun!
That fool was the terror of Highway 101!

Mary Lou, poor girl, she pleaded and she begged him not to leave
She said, "I've got a feeling if you ride tonight I'll grieve!"
But her tears were shed in vain and her every word was lost
In the rumble of his engine and the smoke from his exhaust!

He took off like the devil, there was fire in his eyes!
He said, "I'll go a thousand miles before the sun can rise!"
But he hit a screamin' diesel that was California-bound
And when they cleared the wreckage, all they found...

Was his black denim trousers and motorcycle boots
And the black leather jacket with an eagle on the back!
But they couldn't find the 'cycle that took off like a gun
And they never found the terror of Highway 101!!!

Le Néon

Le Néon
Composer(s): Salvatore Adamo
Performer(s): Salvatore Adamo

Le néon, le néon
Le nez en l'air
L'air d'un...
Qu'on se le dise
Entre pantins
Gare à la crise
Gare à l'instinct
Car plus ça monte
Et plus j'ai honte
Plus je me rends compte
Que je ne suis pas grand
Pas grand, pas grand
Et ça m'énerve
J'perds mon latin
J'perds ma verve
Et je m'éteins
Le néon, le néon
Le nez en l'air
L'air d'un ...
Centième étage
Centième cage
Centième orage
Je serre les dents
Enfin sur terre
Et solitaire
Dans les rues j'erre
Au gré du vent
Je cherche une âme
Au coeur du soir
Je ne réclame
Qu'un peu d'espoir
Le néon, le néon
Le nez en l'air
L'air d'un...
Broadway la blonde
Dans la nuit gronde
Et c'est la ronde
Des morts vivants
Dans ce dédale
Je perds la foi
Et un vandale
S'éveille en moi
Le bruit me saoule
Je suis sans fond
Les murs s'écroulent
Sur ma prison
Amérique
À mes risques
À mes disques
Je te devais
J'ai pris le risque
Tant pis pour toi
Car dans mes disques
Tu resteras
Le néon .... le néon........

Black Day In July

Black Day In July
Composer(s): Gordon Lightfoot
Originally performed by: Gordon Lightfoot Covered by: The Tragically Hip

Black day in July
Motor city madness has touched the countryside
And through the smoke and cinders
You can hear it far and wide
The doors are quickly bolted
And the children locked inside
Black day in July
Black day in July
And the soul of motor city is bared across the land
As the book of law and order is taken in the hands
Of the sons of the fathers who were carried to this land

Black day in July
Black day in July
In the streets of motor city is a deadly silent sound
And the body of a dead youth lies stretched upon the ground
Upon the filthy pavement
No reason can be found

Black day in July
Black day in July
Motor city madness has touched the countryside
And the people rise in anger
And the streets begin to fill
And there’s gunfire from the rooftops
And the blood begins to spill

Black day in July

In the mansion of the governor
There’s nothing that is known for sure
The telephone is ringing
And the pendulum is swinging
And they wonder how it happened
And they really know the reason
And it wasn’t just the temperature
And it wasn’t just the season

Black day in July
Black day in July
Motor city’s burning and the flames are running wild
They reflect upon the waters of the river and the lake
And everyone is listening
And everyone’s awake

Black day in July
Black day in July
The printing press is turning
And the news is quickly flashed
And you read your morning paper
And you sip your cup of tea
And you wonder just in passing
Is it him or is it me

Black day in July

In the office of the president
The deed is done the troops are sent
There’s really not much choice you see
It looks to us like anarchy
And then the tanks go rolling in
To patch things up as best they can
There is no time to hesitate
The speech is made the dues can wait

Black day in July
Black day in July
The streets of motor city now are quiet and serene
But the shapes of gutted buildings
Strike terror to the heart
And you say how did it happen
And you say how did it start
Why can’t we all be brothers
Why can’t we live in peace
But the hands of the have-nots
Keep falling out of reach

Black day in July
Black day in July
Motor city madness has touched the countryside
And through the smoke and cinders
You can hear it far and wide
The doors are quickly bolted
And the children locked inside

Le Myosotis

Le Myosotis
Performer(s): Sacha Distel

Quand tu partis, quand
Tu levas le camp
Pour suivre les pas
De ton vieux nabab
De peur qu' je n' sois triste
Tu allas chez l' fleuriste
Quérir un' fleur bleue
Un petit bouquet d'adieu
Bouquet d'artifice
Un myosotis
En disant tout bas
Ne m'oubliez pas

Afin d'avoir l'heur'
De parler de toi
J'appris à la fleur
Le langag' françois
Sitôt qu'elles causent
Paraît que les roses
Murmurent toujours
Trois ou quatre mots d'amour
Les myosotis
Eux autres vous dis'nt
Vous disent tout bas
Ne m'oubliez pas

Les temps ont passé
D'autres fiancées
Parole d'honneur
M'offrir'nt le bonheur
Dès qu'une bergère
Me devenait chère
Sortant de son pot
Se dressant sur ses ergots
Le myosotis
Braillait comme dix
Pour dire "Hé là-bas
Ne m'oubliez pas"

Un jour Dieu sait quand
Je lèv'rai le camp
Je m'envol'rai vers
Le ciel ou l'enfer
Que mes légataires
Mes testamentaires
Aient l'extrême bonté
Sur mon ventre de planter
Ce sera justic'
Le myosotis
Qui dira tout bas
Ne m'oubliez pas

Si tu vis encor'
Petite pécor'
Un d' ces quat' jeudis
Viens si l'cœur t'en dit
Au dernier asile
De cet imbécile
Qui a gâché son cœur
Au nom d'une simple fleur
Y a neuf chanc's sur dix
Qu' le myosotis
Te dise tout bas
Ne m'oubliez pas

Black Crow Flying

Black Crow Flying
Composer(s): Janis Ian
Performer(s): Janis Ian

When you go down on a Monday, Tuesday never comes
Nobody likes a hero when they don't know how to run
And if you drown on a Sunday, the sermon's never done
Nobody likes a user when he's eating up the sun

I've been away down Dixie in my old Kentucky home
Nobody likes a loser when he offers you the bone
I wanna stay down slowly, sexy Dixie women moan
Nobody loves a user when he don't bring his own

I am a black sheep crying at the sight of the face of the sun
Nobody likes a user when he offers just the crumbs
I am black crow flying, dying on the run
Nobody loves a user when they don't get none

Le Musée De L'armée

Le Musée De L'armée
Composer(s): Charles Aznavour
Performer(s): J.J. Debout

Quand j'étais écolier
Souvent j'allais traîner
Mon enfance fragile

Mon enfance fragile
Au musée de l'Armée
Ou je pouvais rêver
Tout seul et bien tranquille
Étendards et bannières
Me disaient tristement
Nous étions beau naguère
Quand nous flottions au vent
Loin de ces aventures
Voués à l'inaction
Les armes et les armures
Trouvaient le temps bien long
J'avais le sentiment
Sortie de ma mémoire
Venait guider mes pas
Prenant bien soin de moi
Parce que j'aimais l'histoire
Et docile, chaque fois
Par les rues de la ville
Me ramenait chez moi
Quand j'étais écolier
Souvent j'allais traîner
Mon enfance
Au musée de l'Armée
Au musée de l'Armée
Au musée de l'Armée

Black Country Woman

Black Country Woman
Composer(s): Jimmy Page; Robert Plant
Performer(s): Led Zeppelin

"Shall we roll it, Jimmy?"
"We're rolling on, what, one?"
"No, one again?"
"Got to get this airplane off"
"Naw, leave it, yeah"
Hey, hey, mama, what's the matter here?
Hey, hey, mama, what's the matter here?
You didn't have to tell me that you love me so
You didn't have to love me, mama, let me go
Hey, hey, mama, what's the matter here
You didn't have to make me a total disgrace
You didn't have to leave me with that beer in my face
Hey, hey, mama, what's the matter here
That's alright, it's awful dog-gone clear
Hey, hey, baby, why you treat me mean?
Hey, hey, baby, why you treat me mean?
You didn't have to crucify me like you did
You didn't have to tell me I was just your kid
Hey, hey, mama, why'd you treat me mean
You didn't have say you'd always be by my side
Y' didn't have to tell me you'd be my blushin' bride
Hey, hey, mama, why you treat me mean
But that's alright, I know your sisters, too
You didn't have to tell me that you love me so
You didn't have to leave me, mama, let me go
Hey, hey, mama, what is wrong with you
You didn't have to leave me like a total disgrace
You didn't have to leave me with that beer on my face
Hey, hey, mama, what is wrong with you
But that's alright, I'd be the same way, too
You didn't have to crucify me like you did
You didn't have to tell me I was just your kid
Hey, hey, mama, what's the matter here
You didn't have to tell me you would be my own
You didn't have to tell me, baby, let me go
Hey, hey, mama, what is wrong with you
That's alright, I know your sister, too
What's the matter with you, mama

Le Mur De La Prison D'en Face

Le Mur De La Prison D'en Face
Composer(s): Yves Duteil
Performer(s): Yves Duteil

En regardant le mur
De la prison d'en face
J'entends tous les ragots
Et les bruits des autos
Boulevard Arago
Qui passent
Sur les toits des maisons
Qui servent d'horizon
Un bout de la tour Mont-Parnasse

L'hiver on voit les gens
Dans les maisons d'en face
L'été les marronniers
Les cachent aux prisonniers
Et les bruits du quartier
S'effacent
Quand l'école a fermé
Combien ont dû penser
Au jour de la rentrée
Des classes

En regardant le mur
J'imagine à sa place
Les grillages ouvragés
D'un parc abandonné
Explosant de rosier
D'espace
Les grillages ouvragés
D'un parc abandonné
Où les arbres emmêlés
S'enlacent

En regardant le mur
De la prison d'en face
Le cœur un peu serré
D'être du bon côté
Du côté des autos
Je passe
Et du toit des maisons
Qui ferment l'horizon
Un morceau de la Tour
Dépasse

Black Coffee In Bed

Black Coffee In Bed
Composer(s): Chris Difford; Glenn Tilbrook
Performer(s): Squeeze; Marti Jones

There's a stain on my notebook
Where your coffee cup was
And there's ash in the pages
Now I've got myself lost
I was writing to tell you
That my feelings tonight
Are a stain on my notebook
That rings your goodbye

Chorus
Now she's gone
And I'm back on the beat
A stain on my notebook
Says nothing to me
Now she's gone
And I'm out with a friend
With lips full of passion
And coffee in bed
With the way that you left me
I can hardly contain
The hurt and the anger
And the joy of the pain
Now knowing I'm single
There'll be fire in my eyes
And a stain on my notebook
For a new love tonight

Chorus
Now she's gone
And I'm out with a friend
With lips full of passion
And coffee in bed
From the lips without passion
To the lips with a kiss
There's nothing of your love
That I'll ever miss
The stain on my notebook
Remains all that's left
Of the memory of late nights
And coffee in bed
Of the memory of late nights
And coffee in bed

Chorus

Le Mur (Gilbert Bécaud)

Le Mur
Composer(s): Maurice Vidalin - Gilbert Bécaud
Performer(s): Gilbert Bécaud
and multiple other artists

Black Coffee

Black Coffee
Composer(s): Sonny Burke; Paul Francis Webster
Originally performed by: Sarah Vaughan
Covered by various other artists

I'm feelin' mighty lonesome
Haven't slept a wink
I walk the floor from nine to four
In between I drink
Black coffee
Love's a hand-me-down brew
Never know a Sunday
In this weekday room

I'm talkin' to the shadow
One o'clock till four
And Lord, how slow the moments go
And all I do is pour
Black coffee
Since the blues caught my eye
I'm hangin' out on Monday
My Sunday dreams to dry

Now man was born to go a lovin'
But was a woman born to weep and fret
And stay at home and tend her oven
And down her past regrets
In coffee and cigarettes

I'm moonin' all the mornin'
Moanin' all the night
And in between it's nicotine
And not much heart to fight
Black coffee
Feelin' low as the ground
It's drivin' me crazy
This thinkin' 'bout my baby
Might maybe come around
Come around

Le Mur (Barbra Streisand)

Le Mur
Composer(s): Michel Vaucaire - Charles Dumont
Performer(s): Barbra Streisand

Ils ont construit
Un grand mur gris
Couleur d’ennui
Couleur malheur
Un mur de gêne
Un mur de peine
Un mur de haine
Un mur de peur
Et ils ont fait
Ce qui devait
À tout jamais
Nous séparer
Ils ont perdu
Ils n'ont pas pu
Nous empêcher
De nous aimer
Ils ont construit
Un grand mur gris
Couleur de pluie
Couleur d’hiver
Pour nous cacher
Nous baionnettes
Nous étouffer
Nous faire à Terre
Ils ont perdu
Ils n’ont pas pu
Nous empêcher
De nous aimer
Ils n’ont pas pu
Nous empêcher
De leur crier
Un monde entier
Nous empêcher
De nous aimer
De leur crier
Au monde entier...

Spanish Title: Nubes negras
Performer(s): Pedro Aznar

Black clouds
It rains once again
and here, inside, you and I

Your voice awakens me
sweet with dreams
laziness and love
