Space creates light
.
Today I think I'm going to move mountains
Or perhaps once a year I can no longer
see the wood for the trees
Or rather, I can no longer see the bottom of my wardrobe
To the left, the jackets and a few neat blouses
To the right, a block of flats
Whose residents I no longer know
.
Yesterday I bought new clothes
it must be the spring waking up inside me
I left them in the shopping bag
I hadn't thought about space yet
and out of sight is sometimes a good remedy
.
Yet when I stood up, I had a neat idea
not that the new clothes were neatly hidden, no
I saw the enormous space I had created
by starting to organise my bookcases, that is to say, by clearing them out:
a whole new world opened up for me.
.
Soon, I'm going to sort my clothes between my existing wardrobe
and the empty bookshelves. I was over the moon;
I had found a way to put an end
to the overcrowding behind my IKEA wardrobe
(white, self-assembled).
.
Happiness is something you have to create for yourself, I say now, but this solution, which I stared at for years in my dark bedroom-and-library, is now unfolding in the spring light (a quick sip of tea).

Yes, that that Columbus egg, unboiled, offers a glimpse of greater openness in thought and action, is a one-off wonder.
