    Dear all,

    I don't want to speak so much about doctrines. Practise asks manoeuvrability and prayer.

    This morning it was like this in the congregation: it was whitsensunday and I had children service for the children of 8 and 9.
    And this was my task: telling these children and explaining to them about this special fact: the first coming of the Holy Spirit.

    I thought it difficultly. And I asked to the Lord:
    " Oh Lord help me to say it like this that these lovely children understand it , as far is possible according to their age."

    And then the Holy Spirit gave into my heart:
    "Lastly you wrote in one of your articles about Acts 19; how Paul came to Ephesus and found there twelve men, who only knew about the baptizm of John the Baptist an were hungring for MORE. Bring this in terms children are understanding with a story around"

    So I did. The children were so enthousiasrically listening. And the sphere was so good.

    Now tell me : is this a doctrine. No; it is practise.

    You cannot work with doctrines. Some years ago I was standing in Albina in the east of Surinam. It had been a bitter voyage to come there and there were no listeners and the electric light was off. I prayed to the Lord:
    `Oh Lord, help. I have had so much difficulty to come here and now ...there is...nothing".

    And then suddenliy there was a ' korjaal' with thirty Indians and there was a translator into their language. And it was a good evening.
    Now that was no doctrine. That was practise. And in practise you can better pray than have all those doctrines, of which there are hundreds, different from each other and giving only talkings and talkings..
