Marie-Rose Morel blijft nieuws. Haar moeder zegt dat er 30.000 bidprentjes zijn aangevraagd. En volgende week verschijnt postuum haar tweede boek.
Wie het afscheid in de kathedraal niet kon bijwonen, kon een prentje aanvragen via Frank Vanhecke. We hebben 30.000 kaartjes moeten laten drukken, zegt Myriam Van Loon, moeder van wijlen Marie-Rose.
Vanaf 8 maart ligt Geloof, hoop en liefde - Valse hoop bestaat niet in de boekhandel. Dat nieuwe boek bundelt de columns die Marie- Rose Morel de laatste maanden van haar leven publiceerde in Het Laatste Nieuws. Het woord vooraf is geschreven door Goedele Liekens, het nawoord door de ex-politica zelf en haar moeder. Postume bijdrage
Van Leve het leven, haar eerste boek, zijn al meer dan 15.000 exemplaren verkocht, vertelt Lies Maes van Standaard Uitgeverij. Dat boek staat sinds haar overlijden opnieuw op nummer één in de lijst van nonfictieboeken. Moeder Morel bevestigt dat de opbrengst van dit tweede boek integraal naar Kom op tegen kanker zal gaan. Dat was met het eerste boek ook zo, brengt moeder Morel in herinnering.
Zelfs na haar dood blijft Marie-Rose nog haar bijdrage leveren. Het heeft ons wel pijn gedaan dat daarover zaterdag tijdens de grote tv-show rond de actie niets is gezegd. Dat hadden we een mooi en welverdiend eerbetoon gevonden.
