All of us are indeed ever joyful spiritually in knowing,
that each of this great and holy Martyrs are praying for us all,
And their holy canonization had taken place.
Moskou : Russische archeologen hebben mogelijk de overblijfselen
ontdekt van twee kinderen van de laatste Russische tsaar Nicolaas II .
Bolsjewieken schoten de leden van het gezin van de tsaar in 1918 dood
in Jekaterinneburg. Waar de resten waren, was tot nu toe niet bekend.
In de buurt van Jekaterinneburg werden bij een archeologische expeditie
de botten gevonden van een jongen die ongeveer dezelfde leeftijd had
als de troonopvolger Alexej en botten van een jonge vrouw mogelijk
dochter Maria. De resten werden naar een gerechterlijk lab gestuurd
voor verder onderzoek. De rest van het gezin Romanov de tsaar, z'n
vrouw en drie dochters zijn in 1998 bijgezet in de graftombe van de
kathedraal in ST. Petersburg. Hun botten waren geidentificeerd met een
DNA test.
