October 25, 2012Great job on the video! I liked the content. Excellent bniusess advice. I think this woman needs some practical advice to get her going. Here is my input. In order to implement Erica's advice, I recommend that first you have a meeting with the children and explain what you will be doing and why (to provide a better life for them and yourself, of course!) You need for them to be on board with the plan. Also, give each child a job to do and explain that you all are a team and each person's job is important. This will build their self esteem and teach them the value of teamwork. Can the older ones help with the younger ones? Meal prep? House cleaning? Make a schedule for them so they don't forget. And if the dishes don't get done, and there aren't any plates for dinner, then that person has to stop what they are doing and get the dishes done; you are counting on them. It drives home the importance of the job, and is called natural consequences' for their actions. How about carpooling so you don't have to spend the time driving them everywhere?Another efficiency technique is to plan the errands so that there is no back tracking. Make one full circle to return home. Forget something? It can wait until the next trip. Really it can. If you forget a food ingredient then make something else. Spaghetti with Prego sauce still takes away the hunger. Then put the forgotten item on the list for the next time you run errands. Many a child has made it through childhood on peanut butter and jelly, so the children are not going to starve if they don't get the fabulous meal you had in mind. And my final word of advice: give yourself permission to let some things go. Use Erica's priority concepts in your private life as well. So what is really top priority and don't worry about the other stuff. It takes a lot of effort to get bniusesses going and raising children. There will be plenty of time for the other stuff later.Once you get your home life running more efficiently, you will have more time to devote to your bniusesses.Good luck!
