Oficialy so far I know is the UK the only CAA who have introduced the IMC RATING for the their UK-PPL
I noticed in the UK-PILOT the difference of opinion between AOPA-UK and EUROPEAN AIR SPORTS
Many country have introduced a similat training to their PPL training by the FI's
I myself was involved in 1970 of promoting aditional the AOPA 360 RATING to the Belgian PPL at SOTRAMAT FLYING SCHOOL for SAFETY purposes
Many FI's member of ABI folowed this non mandatory aditional training to their PPL similar to the UK -IMC RATING
This increased the SAFETY LVEL of such trained PPL
I sugest whe sugest the UK-IMC rating to be accepted in the EASA RATINGS in the future
ALSO SCHOULD whe AVOID some of this MISCONCEPTION between IAOPA, PPL/IR and EURPOPE AIR SPORT to be developed in the PUBLIC ARENA but via direct contacts between the organisations
Acording my information from DG-TREN is the information on the TMA CHARGES mentionet in
WWW.IAOPA.EU newsletter of DECEMBER are not correct since the meeting of 26 November 2009 was
CANCELLED and the information was not agreed
This is the result of a number last minute changes in the meetings on CHARGES acording SES
Also note thad NOT ONLY AIRLINES are paying EUROCONTROL ENROUTE CHARGES but ALL IFR FLIGHTS above 2000 kgr, and in some countries also a number of VFR FLIGHTS
