One of the major problems about the activity of GENERAL AVIATION & AERIAL WORK concerns the non avaiblity of information on the number of flights made by this way of operations.

in line of the ICAO definition can a AIRBUS or BOEING or a CESSNA172 been operated in one of the three mode of operations, the size of the AIRCRAFT has no link with the way of operating.

On VFR operations is their no official information avaible.

Acording EUROCONTROL  CRCO & CFMU information is their in the year 2000 a average of 25.000 IFR OPERATING AIRPLANE in the EUROCONTROL REGION from witch 8% are conducted by BUSINESS AVIATION based on the ATC-FLIGHTPLANS introduced.

NO INFORMATION  is avaible on VFR FLIGHTS , most VFR FLIGHTS do not require a ATC-FLIGHT PLAN

In the year 2000 a member of AOPA SWITSERLAND and active in IAOPA ROLF SIEGRIST developed intense contacts with the SPOTTERS WORLD at the ICAO-EUR/NAT REGION to collect information on the observed number of flights in the 52 country's by ANY AIRCRAFT be it IFR or VFR in CIVILIAN or MILITARY operations .

This figures concern ANY AIRCRAFT from ULM,DPM,GLIDER,DELTA;BALLOON,AIRSCHIP,GYROCOPTER,HELICOPTER

The figures from this research shows a dailly activity between 52.000 and 365.000 FLIGHTS .

This large dally fluctuation is influenced by various elements such as the WEATHER, PUBLIC HOLIDAYS and VACATION period.

The DAILY AVERAGE for 2000 was 240.000 FLIGHTS of witch 2050 where business flights
