RELOCATION of LISBON AIRPORT

Apaerently the PORTUGEES Gouvernement is planning the relocation of the LISBON AIRPORT to a location to the North side of te city in mountenais terrain

To my knowledge in the study by the experts of the New Gouvernement came to the same conclusions of earlier study's made by the previous expert under the old regime
that the best location for the new airport was in a area to the south of the Lisbon city in flat terrain

Some contacts with PILOTS,ATCO and OPERATORS are of the same opinion of the EXPERTS who made both study's in the past thad the adequate and safe area is located to the south of the city.

HOWEVER the POLITICAL WORLD is deciding that the new location is going to the northern area.

Since the EC is having via some funds a finnanciel participation in this project

The selected area wik be a less safe location for the CAT

PILOTS,ATCO and OPERATORS are feeling uneasy with the northern location

SAFETY of the GENERAL PUBLIC here seems to be neglected .

WHAT SCHOULD WHE DO ????
