Ik dacht het al dat ik hem had herkend...Keith Richards van The Rolling Stones, deed mee in The pirates of the carribbean 3.



Wanneer je van plan bent om naar de film te gaan zien, hou dan deze scene's in de gaten...vooral een codeboek-bewaarder.
De pruik die hij draagt is bijna identiek aan die van Johnny Depp en hij speelt Kaptain Sparrow's vader in dit verhaal.
Keith had eerder het voorstel gedaan om de andere Stones-leden ook een rol te geven als piraten, maar dat werd afgewimpeld door de filmmakers.
En eerst was hij niet te vinden voor het idee, maar hij heeft zich gelukkig bedacht.

“Johnny and I spent a great afternoon trying to get these things (costumes) on. But that doesn’t mean I’m doing it. At the moment I’ve turned them down.

“They’re shooting while I’m touring. I’d love to do it if there was no hassle, but it would be a side trip. I know what my gig is. The idea of working for Disney gives me the shivers in the first place.“

Deel drie draait nog niet eens in de bioscoop, maar producer Jerry Bruckheimer kondigt nu al aan dat er ook een vierde Pirates-film zal komen.

Bruckheimer heeft aangegeven zelfs te hopen dat de Pirates-serie uiteindelijk uit twee trilogieën zal bestaan. Eerder al meldde Johnny Depp, die in de serie de rol van Captain Jack Sparrow vervult, nog lang niet klaar te zijn met zijn rol en dat er, als het aan hem lag, nog heel wat meer Pirates-films mochten komen. Pirates Of The Caribbean: At The Worlds End, met een bijrol voor Rolling Stones-gitarist Keith Richards, gaat volgend jaar mei in premiere.

Jumping Jack News Flash! Captain Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp's pirate counterpart from Disney's immensely successful Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl film, will be joined by his swashbuckling father in the film's two planned sequels by none-other than the Rolling Stones' flamboyant guitar virtuoso, the esteemed Mr. Keith Richards.

After much reluctance, Richards signed on for four guaranteed days of shooting in great part from Depp's pleading persistence, as Depp told the press he modeled his character's style and attitude on Richards while promoting Pirates. Explained Depp, "I sort of thought that pirates would be the rock and roll stars of the 18th century. And the greatest rock 'n' roll star of all time is Keith Richards. Hands down."

The two sequels are set to shoot back-to-back beginning in February, the first of which will be titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Treasures of the Lost Abyss.
