NASA Tests Lunar Rover Prototype with Eye Toward Flying Real Thing

WASHINGTON — The prototype of a rover designed to search for water ice at the poles of the moon passed a series of tests on Earth in August as project officials seek to line up funding and potential partnerships for the mission.

A NASA team put the prototype version of the Resource Prospector rover, dubbed RP15, through its paces on a test site dubbed the "rock yard" at the Johnson Space Center, testing some of the technologies needed to operate on the lunar surface.

"We wanted to take what we had learned so far and actually attempt to do an entire terrestrial mission, with as high a fidelity we could afford with the budget we're given," Dan Andrews, Resource Prospector project manager at NASA's Ames Research Center, said in an Aug. 31 presentation at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' Space 2015 conference in Pasadena, California. Andrews said the project came up with the idea of RP15 in the fall of 2014, just before the current fiscal year started, and set a goal of building and testing the rover by the end of this fiscal year. A group at JSC that previously worked on Robonaut, a humanoid robot flown on the International Space Station, built the rover hardware, with software developed at Ames based on that used on the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer mission.

The tests in the JSC rock yard, he said, successfully demonstrated some of the key technologies of the rover, including its ability to drill into the ground and capture samples. They also tested distributed operations, with teams at Ames controlling the rover at JSC.

Current plans for Resource Prospector call for launching the mission on a medium-class rocket, like SpaceX's Falcon 9, in 2020. The spacecraft would land on the lunar surface, near one of the poles, using a "crushable pad" landing system that eliminates the need for landing legs and makes it easier for the rover to roll off the lander and onto the lunar surface.

The rover will carry a neutron spectrometer to probe for water ice deposits into the lunar surface. The solar-powered rover would also make brief excursions into permanently shadowed regions of craters most likely to have near-surface deposits of ice, drilling for samples before retreating back into sunlit regions to analyze them.

Andrews said Resource Prospector is designed to carry out its complete mission within a two-week lunar day. That eliminates the complexity and accompanying cost of designing the rover to survive the long lunar night.

Resource Prospector has a planned cost of no more than $250 million, excluding launch. Andrews said the mission would most likely be carried out in cooperation with an international or commercial partner that would provide the lander. "We've been told by the [White House] Office of Science and Technology Policy that commercial partnerships, or international partnerships, trump everything," he said.

A leading option is to work with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, which is planning a lunar lander mission. NASA and JAXA have discussed potential cooperation on Resource Prospector for a year and a half, including putting together a report on how the NASA rover would be included on the JAXA lander.

"They are building, as you might imagine, a very impressive lander, more than we need to execute this mission," Andrews said. A problem with that option, though, is that the lander may not be ready for a 2020 mission, since JAXA is not planning to fly a smaller prototype lander until 2019. A second option, he said, is to partner with Taiwan, which is also studying a lunar lander mission.

Andrews said he has also visited with the three companies — Astrobotic Technology, Masten Space Systems and Moon Express — that are part of NASA's Lunar Cargo Transportation and Landing by Soft Touchdown initiative   to support development of commercial lunar landers. Astrobotic and Moon Express are among the teams in the Google Lunar XPrize competition to develop lunar landers by a deadline that has been extended several times, most recently to the end of 2017. A decision on some kind of partnership is needed by June 2016 to support a launch in the fall of 2020, he said.

Work on Resource Prospector, including the RP15 rover, has been funded by NASA's Advanced Exploration Systems program office. Future support, though, remains uncertain. One issue, Andrews suggested, was the politics of lunar exploration in the wake of the decision to cancel the Constellation program in 2010. "It got swept up in general with the politics of 'no' to the moon," he said.

Andrews said Resource Prospector is now ready to go into Phase B, the planning phase of project development, provided the funding is there. "The politics may not be lined up yet," he said. "Everything's right but the local U.S. politics."

Eyewitness states: 

Objects appeared over the ocean and hovered approximately 3-4 minutes, glowing as attached video indicates. there were 2 craft that then disappeared after filming stopped. We live in vero beach florida approximately 60 miles south of the Cape Canaveral launch site. When my wife Kathy observed the lights she then grabbed her HD camera and filmed the attached video. Both yesterday before the sighting and today after the sighting, military helicopters were scene several times going up and down the beach area, while seen occasionally in our area behind our house traveling the coast line, they are rare, particularly two days in a row. the 2 square/diamond shape items appeared above the water, hovered in tandem for 3-4 minutes during which time the attached film was taken and then disappeared.

Again on Jan 27, 2015, Those two UFOs were seen. 

Back in Oct 2, 2019, the same two UFOs are seen in same location, between Vero Beach and Grand Bahamas island.

This UFO is mostly cloaked, but for some reason it is visible when he looks through the camera. The digital eye is more perfect and cannot be fooled as easily, so a cloaked UFO will often appear semi-cloaked. This is especially true when you have an infrared camera and are shooting daytime footage. With infrared, you will see 75% or more. It really cuts through the cloak.

NASA Scientists Reveal Four Alarming Facts About Extraterrestrial Life On Mars

Last weekend, NASA called for a press conference to announce a major discovery regarding the planet Mars. During the meeting, they revealed some pretty shocking information, completely changing what we once thought about the “red” planet that, suddenly, doesn’t seem so red anymore.

1. Mars Has Flowing Rivers Of Water On It

Yesterday, NASA announced that Mars actually has rivers of flowing water on it. What we once believed to be an arid and rocky desert of a planet is actually seasonal, not unlike our own planet Earth.

Lujendra Ojha, a planetary scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, made the discovery by using images from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

This raises a number of other questions, many of which are brought up in the press conference below.

2. Mars Could Have Had Extraterrestrial Life Living On It

Obviously, with the announcement that there is water on Mars, the possibility of life near the surface becomes ever more plausible. The press conference also goes into more details about the atmosphere and condition of Mars, and how the planet could have supported life in the past. I will elaborate on this in the next section.

Another interesting fact is that the possibility of life in the interior of Mars has always been quite high.

3. Mars Was Once A Planet Very Much Like Earth, With A Giant Ocean

“The more we observe Mars, the more information we’re getting that it really is a fascinating planet, from the Curiosity Rover we now know that Mars once was like a planet very much like Earth, with long salty seas, with fresh water lakes, probably with snow capped peaks and clouds and a water cycle just like we’re studying here on Earth … Something has happened to Mars, it lost its water.” – John Grunsfeld, five time space flown astronaut, Associate Administrator Head of NASA Science Mission Directive

John also goes on to discuss the high likelihood that Mars previously sustained life, before whatever happened to the planet that lead to its change in climate. Scientists are still struggling to work out what exactly that event or series of events may have been. 

“Mars is the planet most like Earth … [and in the past,] Mars was a very different planet, it had an extensive atmosphere, and in fact it had what we believe was a huge ocean, perhaps as large as two thirds the Northern Hemisphere. And that ocean may have been as much as a mile deep. So Mars indeed three billion years ago had extensive water resources. But something happened. Mars suffered a major climate change and lost its surface water.” – James Green, NASA director of planetary physics

As pointed out in the press conference, this discovery is so exciting because it suggests that Mars could possibly sustain life in the present day. This is not only due to the presence of water; rovers have discovered that there is a lot more humidity in the air than we once thought. Indeed, the soils are moist, hydrated, and full of water.

4. Something Happened To The Planet That Drastically Changed Its Climate

As you can see from the two quotes in the above section by John Grunsfeld and James Green (taken from the press conference below), something happened to Mars that drastically changed its environment. It seems the climate altered significantly, but what caused this change? Scientists at NASA have yet to figure this out, but some interesting theories have been proposed.

Given the fact that scientists are almost certain that life once existed on Mars, and without question throughout the universe, is it really that farfetched to assume that a race of intelligent beings once inhabited Mars?

We already have statements from a number of astronauts suggesting that intelligent extraterrestrial life has already been discovered.

So, did historical intelligent life on the planet Mars have something to do with its drastic climate shift? At this point it’s impossible to say, but according to Dr. John Brandenburg, PhD, and plasma physicist, life on Mars was eradicated by nuclear war. Underwater Extraterrestrials: Declassified Russian Navy Records Say They’re Real!

Unidentified submerged objects (USOs) are not as famous as UFOs although they are often encountered, according to declassified Russian Navy records. The common trait of all USO phenomena is that they involve unexplained and technologically advanced objects, far superior to anything we’ve ever built.

The recently declassified documents contain Soviet era reports detailing many cases of possible USO encounters. Former naval officer and Russian UFO researcher Vladimir Azhazha believes these documents are of great value. One of the most interesting cases he examined involved a nuclear submarine on a combat mission in the Southern Pacific. During the routine operation, the submarine detected six unknown objects travelling in formation at speeds in excess of 230 knots (265+ mph). In comparison, the fastest submarine was the Soviet K-222, which reached about 44 knots (51 mph).

The submarine’s sonar determined the objects were heading straight for it so the captain gave the order to surface. The USOs followed them to the surface then flew away. Similar instances have been reported in the region of the Bermuda Triangle, as retired submarine commander Yuri Beketov recalls. On-board instruments often malfunctioned, indicating the presence of strong interference. Many believe this is a clear sign of USO/UFO presence.

• On several occasions the instruments gave reading of material objects moving at incredible speed. Calculations showed speeds of about 230 knots, or 265 mph. Speeding so fast is a challenge even on the surface. But water resistance is much higher. It was like the objects defied the laws of physics. There’s only one explanation: the creatures who built them far surpass us in development,” said Beketov.

Both UFOs and USOs seem to concentrate wherever military operations occur, indicating their interest in humanity’s military arsenal.

Another USO hotspot is Lake Baikal in Russia. The world’s deepest freshwater lake has always had a certain mysterious nature and fishermen tell tales of lights being spotted in its deep waters. Multiple folk tales describe swimmers being dragged down by creatures lurking beneath Baikal’s calm waves.

Another of the Russian documents described the encounter between a group of military divers and several humanoid beings in silver suits. The divers were training in Lake Baikal at a depth of 150 feet (50 meters) when they came upon a group of unknown creatures. The divers went deeper in the pursuit of the humanoids. Three men were killed, while the other four were severely injured.

Vladimir Azhazha believes the issue should be thoroughly investigated. “I think about underwater bases and say: why not? Nothing should be discarded,” says Azhazha. “Skepticism is the easiest way: believe nothing, do nothing. People rarely visit great depths. So it’s very important to analyze what they encounter there.”

Wetenschappers hebben bewijs gevonden voor stromend water op Mars. Dat maakte ruimtevaartorganisatie NASA gisteren bekend op een persconferentie. De bewijzen werden geleverd door foto’s van hellingen, die werden gemaakt door Marsrover Curiosity.

De meesten van ons wisten het al, maar het is nu ook officieel bevestigd. Volgens de NASA is er nog geen leven op Mars gevonden, maar uit een wetenschappelijke studie uit 2012 blijkt dat er mogelijk allang leven op de rode planeet is gevonden. En wel door Marslander Viking.

Uit een nieuwe analyse van 36 jaar oude gegevens bleek dat NASA leven heeft gevonden op Mars, zo concludeerde een internationaal team van wiskundigen en wetenschappers. NASA hoeft geen mensen naar Mars te sturen om dit te bevestigen, aldus Joseph Miller van de Universiteit van Zuid-Californië. “Het ultieme bewijs is een video van bacteriën op Mars. Ze zouden een microscoop moeten sturen om de bacteriën te kunnen zien bewegen,” zei hij.

“Op basis van wat we tot nu toe hebben gedaan ben ik er 99 procent zeker van dat er leven is,” voegde hij toe. In 1976 analyseerden twee Viking Marslanders bodemmonsters op de rode planeet. Die hebben destijds leven over het hoofd gezien, aldus de wetenschappers.

Algemeen wordt aangenomen dat de Marslanders destijds alleen bewijs hebben gevonden voor geologische activiteit. Volgens het onderzoeksteam zijn tijdens het Vikingprogramma echter ook microben in de bodem van Mars gevonden. Het onderzoek werd gepubliceerd in het International Journal of Aeronautics and Space Sciences.

Onder de pet gehouden

Wetenschappers verhitten de bodemmonsters indertijd tot 160 graden Celsius, waardoor de organismen afstierven. Tijdens de missie werden voedingsstoffen toegevoegd aan het bodemmateriaal, waarbij koolstofdioxide vrijkwam. Volgens experts kon het gas niet zijn geproduceerd door organismen, maar uit nieuwe tests is gebleken dat dat wel het geval was.

Velen zijn ervan overtuigd dat de NASA bewijs voor leven op Mars al jaren onder de pet houdt. Eén van hen is astrobioloog Gilbert V. Levin. Hij is niet zomaar iemand. Levin werkte mee aan het Vikingprogramma van NASA. In 1997 publiceerde hij zijn conclusie dat er levende micro-organismen waren gevonden op Mars. Toch wordt er nauwelijks verwezen naar zijn bevindingen.

De aankondiging van NASA over bewijs voor stromend water op Mars, is een leugen en onderdeel van een links complot. Dat stelt Rush Limbaugh, de presentator van een Amerikaanse radioshow waar wekelijks 15 miljoen mensen naar luisteren, zo schrijft Media Matters.

Limbaugh zei verder dat NASA corrupt is gemaakt door de regering Obama en dat de ontdekking van stromend water op de één of andere manier zal worden gebruikt om links beleid erdoor te drukken.

De radiopresentator verwacht dat NASA begraafplaatsen op Mars zal vinden, waarmee het ruimteagentschap bewijst dat het ooit een bloeiende planeet was. De NASA zal vervolgens zeggen dat Mars door klimaatverandering is veranderd in een woestijnplaneet, aldus Limbaugh.

De mummie is gedateerd op 3100 tot 3600 jaar oud. De pin wordt op zijn plek gehouden door middel van hars. Medische experts waren zo onder de indruk van de ontdekking dat ze door het bot hebben geboord om de schroef met een piepkleine camera van dichtbij te bekijken.

De operatie bleek 3000 jaar geleden te zijn uitgevoerd, iets wat door de onderzoekers onmogelijk werd geacht. De experts waren ook onder de indruk van het geavanceerde design. “De pin is gemaakt op basis van dezelfde ontwerpen die we vandaag de dag gebruiken om het bot te stabiliseren,” zei dr. Richard Jackson van de Brigham Young University.

De oude Egyptenaren wisten kennelijk al hoe ze schroeven moesten gebruiken om de rotatie van het been te stabiliseren. Er zijn tot op heden geen andere mummies gevonden waarbij soortgelijke operaties zijn uitgevoerd.

Wel is eerder een uitstekend bewaard gebleven kunstteen gevonden die vastgebonden zat aan de gemummificeerde overblijfselen van een Egyptische vrouw. De kunstteen van hout en leer was van de dochter van een hogepriester die tussen 950 en 700 voor Christus leefde. Haar lichaam werd gevonden bij de stad Luxor.

“De oude Egyptenaren verdienen veel lof voor wat ze hebben gedaan,” voegde dr. Wilfred Griggs toe, die het DNA-onderzoek op de mummie leidde toen deze ongelooflijke vondst werd gedaan. De vraag blijft hoe de oude Egyptenaren over zulke geavanceerde technologie konden beschikken.

De persconferentie waar de hele wereld naar uit had zitten kijken, werd het zoveelste fabeltje voor een goedgelovige bevolking. 

Er is water ontdekt op Mars, maar wij zijn en blijven het enige tot nu toe ontdekte leven in het heelal. 

Dit is de eindconclusie van de “spannende” Mars persconferentie: 

,,Tot nu toe zijn wij het enige bewijs van leven, hier op aarde. Zelfs wij weten niet zeker hoe wij zijn ontstaan, dus kun je nagaan hoe moeilijk het is om erachter te komen hoe en of er leven op Mars is (geweest).'' 

Het thema van de persconferentie was dat er vloeibaar water was ontdekt op Mars en hoewel dit een sterke aanwijzing is dat er op z'n minst in ieder geval leven is geweest op deze planeet, blijft de eindconclusie van NASA dat wij helemaal alleen zijn in het oneindige heelal. 

NASA is wat dit soort zaken betreft verre van betrouwbaar waarover wij onder meer schreven in een eerder artikel: 

Sinds de oprichting van NASA in 1958 is er alles aan gedaan om de occulte oorsprong van dit instituut voor het publiek verborgen te houden. De oorsprong die direct leidt naar wat men wel het “slechtste mens ooit” op aarde noemt, Alistair Crowley. 

De hoogste rangen binnen NASA werden gedomineerd door leden van de geheime genootschappen zoals de Vrijmetselaars en voormalige Nazi’s, waarvan de meest bekende Wernher von Braun is. 

Dan is duidelijk dat je op iedere persconferentie wordt voorgelogen, dat er allang een geheime ruimtevloot bestaat, dat ermensen op Mars wonen en dat buitenaardsen overeenkomsten hebben gesloten met overheden. 

Dat alles wat NASA aan het grote publiek vertelt, gebaseerd is op leugens en dat ze met de technologie zoals ze die tonen aan de buitenwereld nog niet eens de Van Allen Gordel kunnen passeren met bemande ruimtevluchten. 

Zoals een lezer schrijft (dank!):

En inderdaad, wanneer je de onderstaande video bekijkt, dan valt je mond open van verbazing. 

Terry Virts, de commandant van het Internationale Ruimtestation, weet te vertellen dat de volgende stap in de ontdekking van de ruimte de lancering van de Orion module is met zwaardere raketten waardoor bemande vluchten buiten de atmosfeer van de aarde mogelijk zullen worden. 

Hij zegt dus letterlijk dat wij als mensen op dit moment alleen maar in een baan om de aarde kunnen vliegen!

Hij vertelt bovendien dat als wij eenmaal in staat zullen zijn om bemande vluchten buiten de atmosfeer van de aarde te laten vliegen, wij zelfs naar de maan zouden kunnen gaan. 

 

Het is dan de Orion capsule waarmee het allemaal moet gaan gebeuren. Waar het echter op lijkt is alsof ook die gebruikt zal worden voor een nieuwe ronde van sprookjes voor het grote publiek. 

Zoals dezelfde lezer schrijft:

Ook NASA is niets meer dan een instrument om het publiek sprookjes te vertellen en af te leiden zodat ze vooral de waarheid niet te weten zullen komen.

My husband and I kept going outside to see the different phases of the eclipse last night (Sept. 27 2015) We saw that high above the moon was a very bright object. Very very bright, we thought maybe it was a planet or star or something like that. Then we realized it looked like it was reflecting the light of the moon. Over 20-25 minutes it descended and then was just gone. I took several pictures of it with my cell phone. We have a friend in Colorado who was also watching the eclipse and he didn't see anything in the sky like what we saw. At first I assumed it was some natural phenomenon but the more we watched the less it looked like anything else I have ever seen in the sky. Looking back at the pictures I still can't be sure what it is, that is why I am filing this report. We looked outside every few minutes, it kept getting lower and lower...seemingly closer to the moon and then it disappeared. I made a collage photo of some of the different elevations...the third pic in the collage is just a cropped version of one of the others. I have several pics on my phone if you would like anymore. I added one of the single pictures, currently having trouble uploading the rest...but i have them and can send later if you want them.

Camped on Beatty's Butte east of Hart Mountain national antelope refuge while on an offroad motorcycle tour. We were just going to bed when an extremely bright white light appeared in the western sky as if an aircraft with landing lights was flying directly towards us. No sound was heard for the duration of the sighting. Suddenly, one at a time, bright orange lights dropped out the area where the bright light had been. The orange lights faded away almost immediately, much faster than a typical flare drop from a military aircraft and much brighter. The same image suddenly appeared north west of the initial sighting. The same bright white light with orange lights dropping out of it happened. The same series of lights appeared again where the original craft had been and one more time to the northwest. Creepy was the word we both used to describe the sighting as there was no sound and the lights, if known military would have been audible. We did not have a fire or any other indication that we were camped out there but we have been through this country many times and witnessed low flying military aircraft presumably from the Kingsley Air National Guard base in Klamath Falls, OR. The area is also known as the Catlow Valley and is some of the most remote uninhabited parts of the lower forty eight states just north of the Nevada border. We would very much like to know if there was any military training going on in the area at that time.

Eyewitness states:
I and a group of people from my neighborhood were gathered at a street corner in an attempt to view the Sept. 28 lunar eclipse and "blood moon" event. We saw the lunar disc disappear and waited several moments for the next phase, but after about 20 minutes with nothing much happening, compounded by high clouds, all my companions departed. I remained hoping to see the lunar disc return, but then noticed, in the darkness sky, a strange, faint cloud grouping almost directly across my viewing position and seemingly positioned above a house chimney. I could just make up strange angles vary dissimilar from the other basically horizontal cloud formations.Using my Samsung Android Note II cellphone I took several photos. Within a few minutes the "cloud formation" had dissolved. Then when looking at the cellphone photos, it revealed a more detailed image including those that also showed a sharp beam of light seemingly emitted from the tip of the rocket shaped central body and a pair of what looked very much like large whale flippers protruding from its sides. There were no sounds heard. Since distance was unknown, size was also unknown, though the impression was of large dimensions.

Bizarre! V-shaped cloud in the form of training courses, after harvest, Lunar Eclipse tonight. I've never seen anything like that before, so I took pictures. Others and I have witnessed the formation of clouds, could not explain how it was formed. One eyewitness states (#70928):
Driving home after dinner with wife and baby... time was 8:40pm and while driving north on CA 133 from Laguna Beach CA to Irvine CA (Quail Hill) area, noticed a massive V shaped cloud over a what appears to be a very large area of southern Orange County. My wife took several photos of which one has been included. I had to adjust lighting/contrast to get the V to become visible. The photo was taken with an iPhone and because it was dark outside, it is not too clear. I observed the cloud for about an hour as it was stationery. Both sides of the V were identical in length and in thickness. The "cloud" seemed to be separated from surrounding clouds by a clear margin all the way around, as if the V was pushing aside all other cloud. During the hour that I was watching the "V", the low level clouds around it would change shape, move away, dissipate and do normal cloud things, except the "V" always stood still and always managed to maintain a margin of clear sky around it. I was getting tired and went to bed. Around 9:45.

Who Were the Ancient GIANTS With Six-Fingers and Double Rows of Teeth?

Similar tales are told by the Sumerians. They speak of “fallen angels” they know as Gods who lived among them and taught them the way of civilized life. This similar belief is present with the Romans, Greeks, Mayans, Egyptians and Incan civilizations.

 

Evidence of these ancient giants is present in Old Township and county records. Most include quotes from old letters and diaries going back as far as the 1700s. In that time period, theories regarding the origin of life on Earth mainly relied on creationist views. Those who dug up giant skeletons were astonished by their findings, believing they had stumbled upon the cursed remains of unholy creatures.

 

Some believed various earthworks were not built by ancestors of the Native Americans, but rather during a more remote period of time that was characterized by a very different social order.

 

It is said that from the eighteenth century to even the twentieth century, giant skeletons were routinely found in mounds and caves throughout North America by amateur excavators. These discoveries are more concentrated around the Ohio Valley, which was the epicenter of Native American life. According to the original eyewitnesses, it was here that intrepid settlers discovered giant skeletons and numerous irreplaceable artifacts. These settlers had a great interest in discovering the true history. It is said that many of these giant skeletons were exposed to the elements and as a result moldered away into the soil hours or days after the exposure. The skeletal remains of these ancient giants not only reveal their height but characteristics that can only be described as bizarre and unusual.

 

The average giant is approximately 50% taller and at least 100% larger than the typical human being. It is believed they could carry at least 6 times as much weight as a normal man. It was common for these giants to have remnants of red or blonde hair. Facial features included high foreheads, high cheekbones, extremely strong chins and some with a prominent gap between the two front teeth. The hair color and facial features are strongly related to the European culture.

 

 

 

Truly unusual characteristics include double dentition, meaning two sets of teeth. One was situated behind the other. The reasoning behind this is still not clarified but it is speculated that the purpose was to form a better grip on their food. Unique to the giants, is the existence of six digits, an extra finger on each hand and an extra toe on each foot. This trait has also been described in some Biblical accounts. Although more rare, some giant skeletons are said to have had horns which protruded from their head similar to those of a goat.

 

 

 

These horned skeletons were found in Pennsylvania in the 1880s and described as being seven feet tall with two inch horny projections extending from above the eyebrows. It was at that estimated time that the bodies had been buried around AD 1200. The remains were sent to the American Investigating Museum where it was later claimed that they were stolen.

 

Evidence suggesting the massive strength of these ancient giants has also been discovered. In an ancient copper mine located in North Wales, more than 2,500 sledge hammers were discovered. The largest sledge hammer found was noted to be 64 pounds. A hammer of this size is not known to have ever been manufactured. It is estimated that the handle of the sledge hammer had to be at least nine feet in length.

 

Despite the existing evidence of the giants’ existence, mainstream archaeology works to seal our imaginations by interpreting the past of North America as nothing other than usual in the way of characterized cultures. It is rumored that beneath the Vatican, many vaults contain the very contents responsible for filling our imaginations for countless generations. These contents are said to be the undeniable evidence that these ancient giants were the first inhibitors of our world.

Japans museum vindt topgeheim document waaruit blijkt dat ‘de FBI op vliegende schotels was gestuit’

De Amerikaanse federale recherche FBI was schijnbaar nogal bezorgd over de opening van het Hakui-centrum voor UFO-onderzoek in Japan, nadat medewerkers van het museum op een document waren gestuit dat erop zou wijzen dat de FBI drie vliegende schotels had gevonden.

Elk van deze objecten bevatte volgens de memo 90 centimeter lange bemanningsleden. De Amerikaanse overheid legde de documenten van het museum achter slot en grendel, wat koren op de molen was van complotdenkers.

Het Hakui-museum wilde zowel specialisten als burgers toegang bieden tot meer dan 10.000 officiële documenten over UFO-fenomenen. De documenten zijn inmiddels door de FBI op internet gezet.

Schrijver Nigel Watson merkte op: “De FBI onderzocht tussen 1947 en juli 1950 op verzoek van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht de echtheid van UFO-meldingen. Ze werden dusdanig overspoeld met waarnemingen dat ze geregeld werden vernietigd omdat de FBI te weinig ruimte had om ze op te slaan.”

NASA Confirms Evidence That Liquid Water Flows on Today's Mars

New findings from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.

Using an imaging spectrometer on MRO, researchers detected signatures of hydrated minerals on slopes where mysterious streaks are seen on the Red Planet. These darkish streaks appear to ebb and flow over time. They darken and appear to flow down steep slopes during warm seasons, and then fade in cooler seasons. They appear in several locations on Mars when temperatures are above minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 23 Celsius), and disappear at colder times.

"Our quest on Mars has been to 'follow the water,' in our search for life in the universe, and now we have convincing science that validates what we've long suspected," said John Grunsfeld, astronaut and associate administrator of NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington. "This is a significant development, as it appears to confirm that water -- albeit briny -- is flowing today on the surface of Mars."

These downhill flows, known as recurring slope lineae (RSL), often have been described as possibly related to liquid water. The new findings of hydrated salts on the slopes point to what that relationship may be to these dark features. The hydrated salts would lower the freezing point of a liquid brine, just as salt on roads here on Earth causes ice and snow to melt more rapidly. Scientists say it's likely a shallow subsurface flow, with enough water wicking to the surface to explain the darkening.

"We found the hydrated salts only when the seasonal features were widest, which suggests that either the dark streaks themselves or a process that forms them is the source of the hydration. In either case, the detection of hydrated salts on these slopes means that water plays a vital role in the formation of these streaks," said Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, lead author of a report on these findings published Sept. 28 by Nature Geoscience.

Ojha first noticed these puzzling features as a University of Arizona undergraduate student in 2010, using images from the MRO's High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE). HiRISE observations now have documented RSL at dozens of sites on Mars. The new study pairs HiRISE observations with mineral mapping by MRO's Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM).

The spectrometer observations show signatures of hydrated salts at multiple RSL locations, but only when the dark features were relatively wide. When the researchers looked at the same locations and RSL weren't as extensive, they detected no hydrated salt.

Ojha and his co-authors interpret the spectral signatures as caused by hydrated minerals called perchlorates. The hydrated salts most consistent with the chemical signatures are likely a mixture of magnesium perchlorate, magnesium chlorate and sodium perchlorate. Some perchlorates have been shown to keep liquids from freezing even when conditions are as cold as minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 70 Celsius). On Earth, naturally produced perchlorates are concentrated in deserts, and some types of perchlorates can be used as rocket propellant.

Perchlorates have previously been seen on Mars. NASA's Phoenix lander and Curiosity rover both found them in the planet's soil, and some scientists believe that the Viking missions in the 1970s measured signatures of these salts. However, this study of RSL detected perchlorates, now in hydrated form, in different areas than those explored by the landers. This also is the first time perchlorates have been identified from orbit.

MRO has been examining Mars since 2006 with its six science instruments.

"The ability of MRO to observe for multiple Mars years with a payload able to see the fine detail of these features has enabled findings such as these: first identifying the puzzling seasonal streaks and now making a big step towards explaining what they are," said Rich Zurek, MRO project scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

For Ojha, the new findings are more proof that the mysterious lines he first saw darkening Martian slopes five years ago are, indeed, present-day water.

"When most people talk about water on Mars, they're usually talking about ancient water or frozen water," he said. "Now we know there's more to the story. This is the first spectral detection that unambiguously supports our liquid water-formation hypotheses for RSL."

The discovery is the latest of many breakthroughs by NASA's Mars missions.

"It took multiple spacecraft over several years to solve this mystery, and now we know there is liquid water on the surface of this cold, desert planet," said Michael Meyer, lead scientist for NASA's Mars Exploration Program at the agency's headquarters in Washington. "It seems that the more we study Mars, the more we learn how life could be supported and where there are resources to support life in the future."

There are eight co-authors of the Nature Geoscience paper, including Mary Beth Wilhelm at NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California and Georgia Tech; CRISM Principal Investigator Scott Murchie of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland; and HiRISE Principal Investigator Alfred McEwen of the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory in Tucson, Arizona. Others are at Georgia Tech, the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, and Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géodynamique in Nantes, France.

The agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, a division of the California Institute of Technology, manages the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Project for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington. Lockheed Martin built the orbiter and collaborates with JPL to operate it.

Stanton Friedman (born July 29, 1934) is a professional ufologist who resides in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. He is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell incident. He worked as a nuclear physicist on research and development projects for several large companies.

Early life[edit]

He graduated from Linden High School and the University of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1955 and a Master of Science degree in nuclear physics in 1956.^[1]

Career in nuclear physics[edit]

Friedman was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist for such companies as General Electric (1956–1959), Aerojet General Nucleonics (1959–1963), General Motors(1963–1966), Westinghouse (1966–1968), TRW Systems (1969–1970), and McDonnell Douglas, where he worked on advanced, classified programs on nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and compact nuclear power plants for space applications.^[2] Since the 1980s, he has done related consultant work in the radon-detection industry. Friedman's professional affiliations have included the American Nuclear Society, the American Physical Society, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, andAFTRA.^{[citation needed]}

UFO investigations and advocacy[edit]

In 1970, Friedman left full-time employment as a physicist to pursue the scientific investigation of UFO's. Since then, he has given lectures at more than 600 colleges and to more than 100 professional groups in 50 states, nine provinces, and 16 countries outside the USA.^[2] Additionally, he has worked as a consultant on the topic. He has published more than 80 UFO-related papers and has appeared on many radio and television programs.^[2] He has also provided written testimony to Congressional hearings and appeared twice at the United Nations.^[2][3]

Friedman has consistently favoured use of the term "flying saucer" in his work, saying "Flying saucers are, by definition, unidentified flying objects, but very few unidentified flying objects are flying saucers. I am interested in the latter, not the former."^[2] Friedman used to refer to himself as "The Flying Saucer Physicist", because of his degrees in nuclear physics and work on nuclear projects.^[3]

Friedman's positions regarding UFO phenomena[edit]

Friedman was the first civilian to document the site of the Roswell UFO incident,^[4] and supports the hypothesis that it was a genuine crash of an extraterrestrial spacecraft.^[5] In 1968 Friedman told a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives that the evidence suggests that Earth is being visited by intelligently controlled extraterrestrial vehicles.^[6]Friedman also stated he believed that UFO sightings were consistent with magnetohydrodynamic propulsion.

In 1996, after researching and fact checking the Majestic 12 documents, Friedman said that there was no substantive grounds for dismissing their authenticity.^[7]

In 2004, on George Noory's Coast to Coast radio show, Friedman debated Seth Shostak, the SETI Institute's Senior Astronomer. Like Friedman, Shostak also believes in the existence of intelligent life other than humans; however, unlike Friedman, he doesn't believe such life is now on Earth or is related to UFO sightings.^[8]

Friedman has hypothesized that UFOs may originate from relatively nearby sunlike stars.^[2](p. 217)

A piece of evidence that he often cites with respect to this hypothesis is the 1964 star map drawn by alleged alien abductee Betty Hill during a hypnosis session, which she said was shown to her during her abduction. Astronomer Marjorie Fish constructed a three-dimensional map of nearby sun-like stars and claimed a good match from the perspective of Zeta Reticuli, about 39 light years distant. The fit of the Hill/Fish star maps was hotly debated in the December 1974 edition of Astronomy Magazine,^[9][10] with Friedman and others defending the statistical validity of the match.

SETI[edit]

Friedman has stated strong views against SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) research. Friedman contests the implicit premise of SETI that there has been no extraterrestrial visitation of the planet, because it is his claim that SETI is seeking only signals, not extraterrestrial intelligence or beings. He maintains that the prominence and widespread public claims of those involved with SETI have tended to prevent serious research, including research by journalists, of UFOs.^[2](p. 129)

Friedman has criticized Carl Sagan, a proponent of SETI, for ignoring empirical evidence, such as "600-plus UNKNOWNS" of Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14. Friedman argued that this empirical data directly contradicts Sagan's claim in Other Worlds that the "reliable cases are uninteresting and the interesting cases are unreliable". Specifically, Friedman refers to a table in Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14 that he says "shows that the better the quality of the sighting, the more likely it was to be an 'unknown', and the less likely it was to be listed as containing 'insufficient information'" ^[2](p. 42).

Public and scientific opinion[edit]

Friedman says of the response to his talks, "I know that most people are unfamiliar with the several large-scale scientific studies... because I ask, after I show a slide and ask about each one, 'How many here have read this?' Typically it is only one or two percent." He says that a talk he gave to Canadian journalists in Saint John, New Brunswick, caused the attitudes of the journalists to change because "Attendees had had no idea there was so much solid information, as opposed to the tabloid nonsense they thought was the primary source of UFO data." (p. 202)^[2]

Friedman has argued that the majority of people believe UFOs exist and at least some groups of scientists do as well. Friedman (2008) refers to the following data in support of his position:^[7]

• Gallup Polls between 1966 and 1987 asked respondents the question: "Are UFOs something real, or just people's imagination?". Of those who took a position one way or the other, 61%, 64%, 68% and 60% took the position they are real in 1966, 1977, 1978 and 1987, respectively.
• With respect to scientists, a poll was taken by Industrial Research and Development in 1971 and 1979. Of the respondents who took a position, 64% and 69% stated they believed UFOs either probably or definitely exist. Of this subgroup, 32% and 44% considered their origin to be Outer Space in 1971 and 1979, respectively. Of the rest of this subgroup, approximately half believed them to be natural phenomena and half were "undecided".
• Dr. Peter Sturrock also polled the membership of the American Astronomical Society and found that "the greater the amount of time one spent on reading UFO-related material, the more likely one is to accept their reality" (p. 210).^[2]

Criticisms and controversies[edit]

Friedman is outspoken in his articulation of positions and in his criticism of UFO debunkers, often stating he is not an "apologist ufologist". His positions are regarded as controversial in mainstream science and media, but Friedman claims to have received little opposition at his many lectures, most of which have been at colleges and universities, many to engineering societies and other groups of physicists.^[2] (p. 24) He has had a number of debates in the mainstream media, including one with UFO skeptic Michael Shermer on CNN.

Friedman has been criticized both by skeptics and other Roswell researchers for taking the position that there are no substantive grounds for dismissing the authenticity of someMajestic 12 documents. Friedman himself was the first to provide evidence that some of the documents are clearly hoaxes. For example, he showed that a supposed memo from Admiral Hillenkoetter to President Truman, dated February 17, 1948, was actually the emulation of a letter from Marshall to Roosevelt that was featured in the book The American MAGIC. Friedman has researched the MJ-12 documents since first becoming aware of them from Wiliam Moore and Jaime Shandera in 1984.^[2][11] He addressed criticisms of the original documents in both sources. As an example, Philip J. Klass claimed lexicographic inconsistencies based on the use of Pica typeface in the Cutler-Twining memo and offered $100, in a challenge to Friedman, for each legitimate example of the use of the same style and size Pica type as used in the memo. Friedman provided 14 examples and was paid $1000 by Klass.^[2]

Smithsonian Admits to Destruction of Thousands of Giant Human Skeletons in Early 1900′s

A US Supreme Court ruling has forced the Smithsonian institution to release classified papers dating from the early 1900′s that proves the organization was involved in a major historical cover up of evidence showing giants human remains in the tens of thousands had been uncovered all across America and were ordered to be destroyed by high level administrators to protect the mainstream chronology of human evolution at the time.

The allegations stemming from the American Institution of Alternative Archaeology (AIAA) that the Smithsonian Institution had destroyed thousands of giant human remains during the early 1900′s was not taken lightly by the Smithsonian who responded by suing the organization for defamation and trying to damage the reputation of the 168-year old institution.

During the court case, new elements were brought to light as several Smithsonian whistle blowers admitted to the existence of documents that allegedly proved the destruction of tens of thousands of human skeletons reaching between 6 feet and 12 feet in height, a reality mainstream archaeology can not admit to for different reasons, claims AIAA spokesman, James Churward.

There has been a major cover up by western archaeological institutions since the early 1900′s to make us believe that America was first colonized by Asian peoples migrating through the Bering Strait 15,000 years ago, when in fact, there are hundreds of thousands of burial mounds all over America which the Natives claim were there a long time before them, and that show traces of a highly developed civilization, complex use of metal alloys and where giant human skeleton remains are frequently found but still go unreported in the media and news outlets, he explains.

A turning point of the court case was when a 1.3 meter long human femur bone was shown as evidence in court of the existence of such giant human bones. The evidence came as a blow to the Smithsonian’s lawyers as the bone had been stolen from the Smithsonian by one of their high level curators in the mid 1930′s who had kept the bone all his life and which had admitted on his deathbed in writing of the undercover operations of the Smithsonian.

«It is a terrible thing that is being done to the American people» he wrote in the letter. «We are hiding the truth about the forefathers of humanity, our ancestors, the giants who roamed the earth as recalled in the Bible and ancient texts of the world.

The US Supreme Court has since forced the Smithsonian Institution to publicly release classified information about anything related to the “destruction of evidence pertaining to the mound builder culture” and to elements “relative to human skeletons of greater height than usual”, a ruling the AIAA is extremely enthused about.

«The public release of these documents will help archaeologists and historians to reevaluate current theories about human evolution and help us greater our understanding of the mound builder culture in America and around the world» explains AIAA director, Hans Guttenberg. «Finally, after over a century of lies, the truth about our giant ancestors shall be revealed to the world» he acknowledges, visibly satisfied by the court ruling.

The documents are scheduled to be released in 2015 and the operation will be coordinated by an independent scientific organization to assure political neutrality.

Breaking: NASA Confirms Existence of Liquid Saltwater on Mars

Images of the Martian surface sent back by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) are helping scientists confirm a mystery that has long been pondered and debated: Is there liquid water on Mars? And if so, can it be a factor in sustaining life?

The short answer: Yes. Thanks to findings published today in the scientific journal Nature Geoscience, scientists now know there is salty liquid water flowing seasonally on Mars’ surface.

The news is also being confirmed by an announcement from NASA HQ by Jim Green, director of planetary science; Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the Mars Exploration Program; and Mary Beth Wilhelm of NASA’s Ames Research Center.

How did they make this discovery? After analyzing the planet’s features based on density and light absorption over the past few years, scientists have noticed dark streaking on the surface that points to the existence of rivers and streams. Today, their new observations show a directional tide and flow to these areas, which are cyclical and coincide with warmer seasons.

This indicates freeze and thaw—a sure sign of the existence of liquid water.

The current presence of this essential building block for life has astrobiological and geological implications that will affect how we approach human exploration and future colonization of our neighboring world.

The potential for continuing life on Mars in any form heavily depends on whether liquid water can exist on the surface. Current conditions indicate that in order for organisms to survive on the planet, they would have to be in a state of hibernation during the winter when all traces of water would freeze. While this process may be familiar to what we experience on Earth, the water itself is far more dense and may appear gelatinous in its liquid form.

Various salts have been detected on Mars along the darker streaks where water may flow. These salts can lower the freezing point of water and lower the evaporation rate, increasing the possibility of a consistent liquid state during the warmer seasons—a condition that could set the stage for an active biological process.

Scientists have always theorized that the dark streaks—known as recurring slope lineae (RSL)—appear on the surface when the temperature is warmer and fade when the temperature drops due to the presence of liquid water.

Spectral imaging from a tool called the Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM) aboard the Orbiter now proves the streaks are in fact caused by downhill-flowing salty water.

The CRISM instrument has collected data from four different locations where RSL are present and found evidence of hydrated salts at all four locations in the seasons when recurring slope lineae are most prominent.

The discovery of these hydrated salts supports the theory that the RSL form as a result of current water activity on Mars.

Two of the primary authors of the paper detailing these new findings, Alfred McEwen and Lujendra Ojha, have been searching for definitive proof of liquid water on the Martian surface for the past few years.

Mr. Ojha, a Ph.D. candidate in planetary science at Georgia Tech, previously made headlines as an undergrad at the University of Arizona where he co-authored a study with Mr. McEwen that suggested liquid water flowed during the warmer months on Mars.

Mr. Ohja noticed unusual features on the images from a study by UA researcher Colin Dundas that looked at gullies in Mars craters. After cleaning up the images by using a computer algorithm to remove distortions and shadows, Mr. Ohja was able to show changes in the landscape over time that revealed the dark streaks. This was the first indication of possible flowing salt water on Mars.

After the NASA news conference back in 2011, Mr. Ojha said, “There’s going to be years of research put into this to even prove that this is definitely a proof of water. And from that, we can move on: O.K. if this is water, what are the chances that life could be in these kinds of surroundings?”

It seems that just four years later, Mr. Ohja has his proof.

NASA Confirms Evidence That Liquid Water Flows on Today’s Mars

New findings from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.

Using an imaging spectrometer on MRO, researchers detected signatures of hydrated minerals on slopes where mysterious streaks are seen on the Red Planet. These darkish streaks appear to ebb and flow over time. They darken and appear to flow down steep slopes during warm seasons, and then fade in cooler seasons. They appear in several locations on Mars when temperatures are above minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 23 Celsius), and disappear at colder times.

These dark, narrow, 100 meter-long streaks called recurring slope lineae flowing downhill on Mars are inferred to have been formed by contemporary flowing water. Recently, planetary scientists detected hydrated salts on these slopes at Hale crater, corroborating their original hypothesis that the streaks are indeed formed by liquid water. The blue color seen upslope of the dark streaks are thought not to be related to their formation, but instead are from the presence of the mineral pyroxene. “Our quest on Mars has been to ‘follow the water,’ in our search for life in the universe, and now we have convincing science that validates what we’ve long suspected,” said John Grunsfeld, astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “This is a significant development, as it appears to confirm that water — albeit briny — is flowing today on the surface of Mars.”

These downhill flows, known as recurring slope lineae (RSL), often have been described as possibly related to liquid water. The new findings of hydrated salts on the slopes point to what that relationship may be to these dark features. The hydrated salts would lower the freezing point of a liquid brine, just as salt on roads here on Earth causes ice and snow to melt more rapidly. Scientists say it’s likely a shallow subsurface flow, with enough water wicking to the surface to explain the darkening.

“We found the hydrated salts only when the seasonal features were widest, which suggests that either the dark streaks themselves or a process that forms them is the source of the hydration. In either case, the detection of hydrated salts on these slopes means that water plays a vital role in the formation of these streaks,” said Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, lead author of a report on these findings published Sept. 28 by Nature Geoscience.

Ojha first noticed these puzzling features as a University of Arizona undergraduate student in 2010, using images from the MRO’s High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE). HiRISE observations now have documented RSL at dozens of sites on Mars. The new study pairs HiRISE observations with mineral mapping by MRO’s Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM).

The spectrometer observations show signatures of hydrated salts at multiple RSL locations, but only when the dark features were relatively wide. When the researchers looked at the same locations and RSL weren’t as extensive, they detected no hydrated salt.

Ojha and his co-authors interpret the spectral signatures as caused by hydrated minerals called perchlorates. The hydrated salts most consistent with the chemical signatures are likely a mixture of magnesium perchlorate, magnesium chlorate and sodium perchlorate. Some perchlorates have been shown to keep liquids from freezing even when conditions are as cold as minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 70 Celsius). On Earth, naturally produced perchlorates are concentrated in deserts, and some types of perchlorates can be used as rocket propellant.

Perchlorates have previously been seen on Mars. NASA’s Phoenix lander and Curiosity rover both found them in the planet’s soil, and some scientists believe that the Viking missions in the 1970s measured signatures of these salts. However, this study of RSL detected perchlorates, now in hydrated form, in different areas than those explored by the landers. This also is the first time perchlorates have been identified from orbit.

MRO has been examining Mars since 2006 with its six science instruments.

“The ability of MRO to observe for multiple Mars years with a payload able to see the fine detail of these features has enabled findings such as these: first identifying the puzzling seasonal streaks and now making a big step towards explaining what they are,” said Rich Zurek, MRO project scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California.

For Ojha, the new findings are more proof that the mysterious lines he first saw darkening Martian slopes five years ago are, indeed, present-day water.

“When most people talk about water on Mars, they’re usually talking about ancient water or frozen water,” he said. “Now we know there’s more to the story. This is the first spectral detection that unambiguously supports our liquid water-formation hypotheses for RSL.”

The discovery is the latest of many breakthroughs by NASA’s Mars missions.

“It took multiple spacecraft over several years to solve this mystery, and now we know there is liquid water on the surface of this cold, desert planet,” said Michael Meyer, lead scientist for NASA’s Mars Exploration Program at the agency’s headquarters in Washington. “It seems that the more we study Mars, the more we learn how life could be supported and where there are resources to support life in the future.”

There are eight co-authors of the Nature Geoscience paper, including Mary Beth Wilhelm at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California and Georgia Tech; CRISM Principal Investigator Scott Murchie of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland; and HiRISE Principal Investigator Alfred McEwen of the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory in Tucson, Arizona. Others are at Georgia Tech, the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, and Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géodynamique in Nantes, France.

The agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California manages the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Project for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, Washington. Lockheed Martin built the orbiter and collaborates with JPL to operate it.

NASA vindt vloeibaar water op Mars -HLN.be

De Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie NASA heeft bewijzen van vloeibaar water gevonden op Mars. Het nieuws lekte al uit voor de eigenlijke persconferentie, die je hier live kan volgen om 17.30 uur.

Onderzoekers troffen vlekken aan die wijzen op water dat in de zomermaanden langs kliffen en kratermuren naar beneden stroomt. Die vaststelling verhoogt de kansen dat er ook op de rode planeet een vorm van leven aanwezig is. De straaltjes laten lange, donkere plekken achter op de ondergrond, die tot 100 meter lang kunnen worden in de warme maanden, om vervolgens op te drogen als de grondtemperatuur daalt.

Wetenschappers tasten nog in het duister over waar het water vandaan komt, maar het zou kunnen opstijgen uit ondergronds ijs of zoute grondwaterlagen, of condens uit de dunne atmosfeer van Mars.

"Er is nu vloeibaar water op de oppervlakte van Mars", zegt Michael Meyer, het hoofd van het Marsonderzoek bij NASA, aan the Guardian. "We vermoeden dat het op zijn minst mogelijk is om nu een bewoonbare omgeving te hebben."

Eerder onderzoek
Lujendra Ojha, één van de sprekers van NASA, stuitte al in 2011 tijdens haar onderzoek op aanwijzingen van water op Mars. "De aanwezigheid van water zou de aanleiding kunnen zijn om snel mensen naar Mars te sturen'', zegt Dou McCoustin, voormalig directeur van het verkenningsprogramma op Mars tegen Boston Herald. "Stromend water zal enorme gevolgen hebben voor de mogelijkheid van leven op Mars."

Marsverkenner Curiosity heeft maart 2013 aanwijzingen gevonden voor de aanwezigheid van stromend water. Metingen toonden aan dat gedurende de avond in de bovenste vijf centimeter van de bodem een soort zoutlaag ontstaat, die in de ochtend weer verdampte. Wetenschappers waren toen nog van mening dat er te weinig water aanwezig was en dat de temperaturen te laag liggen. 

NASA had eerder al bewijs gevonden dat er ooit water was geweest op Mars. Er zou een oceaan zijn geweest die meer water bevatte dan de Noordelijke IJszee, hier op aarde.

Marshenge
Naast de aanwezigheid van water, hopen andere mensen een antwoord te krijgen op de Marshenge. Een rotsformatie op de planeet. Wellicht volgt dat antwoord later.

UFO veroorzaakt auto-ongeluk ( VIDEO )

Het is bekend dat UFO’s soms voor gevaarlijke situaties zorgen in de lucht door vlakbij verkeersvliegtuigen op te duiken. 

Nu hebben ze een dodelijk ongeval veroorzaakt doordat een chauffeur werd afgeleid door een UFO die boven de weg vloog. 

Op zich lijkt het natuurlijk wel grappig als je op je schadeformulier kunt invullen dat het ongeluk dat je net hebt gehad, is veroorzaakt door een UFO en dat buitenaardsen aansprakelijk gesteld dienen te worden voor de schade. 

Het is echter wat minder grappig als zoiets in het echt gebeurt en er een dode te betreuren is. 

Ongeveer tien dagen geleden vond er een dergelijk ongeluk plaats in Oedmoertië, een autonome republiek gelegen in het westen van Rusland. 

Op een tweebaansweg wordt de 60-jarige chauffeur van een auto afgeleid door een UFO, botst tegen een vrachtauto en bezwijkt aan zijn verwondingen.

Een 22-jarige passagier die eveneens in de auto zat, is overgebracht naar het ziekenhuis en vertelde dat de chauffeur was afgeleid door een vreemd object dat net voor het ongeluk in de lucht heen en weer vloog. 

In de video hieronder die is opgenomen met een dashcam in een auto die achter de vrachtwagen reed, zie je de UFO en hoe het ongeluk gebeurde. 

Andere mensen die op de weg reden, hadden eveneens het vreemde object in de lucht gezien. 

De politie zegt dat ze de zaak in onderzoek hebben en bevestigt dat ze ook de aanwezigheid van de UFO nader zullen onderzoeken, maar kunnen op dit moment nog geen verdere mededelingen doen.

This UFO was found by "alberto ignacio alejo ibarra," of Youtube. It shows a semi-tansparent object in the sky with many sharp corners. Its hard to discern its correct shape, so I altered the color above to better see it. Mexico has several bases under a few of its volcanos.

Researchers Unable To Identify Mysterious Flying Object Over New York

A flying object on a video taken off the coast of Long Island left many researchers baffled. A witness recorded a video of the boomerang-shaped object as it moved fast across and brightly lit the sky around 10:30 pm in Port Jefferson in April.

The witness then sent the video to the Mutual UFO Network, hoping to get explanation about it.  According to the witness, he noticed red and blue lights hovering in the sky when he looked to his left. He then reportedly stopped and watched it for a while to determine if it was just a toy.

To the witness’ surprise, the object went higher into the sky and began to travel very fast. The witness took out his phone and started to film till the phone died.

Researchers say that the witness may have just seen and recorded a drone, but they can’t give a precise explanation because they can’t tell in the video the distance of the object from the witness.

MUFON chief analyst for photo and video, Marc Dantonio, said that there’s no reliable way to find out the range of the object in the video, which presents them with a problem in determining the object’s nature. The object could be a small object or a radio-controlled drone or perhaps a plane, Dantonio said.

MUFON field investigator for New York, Joseph Flammer, also pointed out that there are many airports close to the area, but ruled out the possibility of a plane. He said that the object seemed to fly at a level of a drone controlled by a person at night, which supported Dantonio’s drone theory. However, Flammer added that he can’t say the object wasn’t real unknown.

10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs found in Chhattisgarh, India

CHARAMA (Chhattisgarh): Chhattisgarh state department of archaeology and culture plans to seek help from Nasa and Isro for research on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region. 

According to archaeologist JR Bhagat, these paintings have depicted aliens like those shown in Hollywood and Bollywood flicks. Located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola. 

"The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn't have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject," Bhagat told TOI.

There are several beliefs among locals in these villages. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about "rohela people" — the small sized ones — who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned. 

"The paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits. We can't refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men but humans usually fancy such things," the archaeologist said.

He added that it is a co-incidence that such ancient images appear to have sharp resemblance to UFOs shown in alien movies. "The fan-like antenna and three legs of vehicle's stand clearly show a similarity to UFO type craft," he said. 

Other archaeologists would also be consulted for further verification.

NASA komt met iets groots: 'Mysterie rond Mars opgelost'

De NASA gaat morgen om 17:30 uur iets groots over Mars bekendmaken. De ruimtevaartorganisatie heeft nog niets losgelaten waar het precies over gaat. Alleen dat er 'een mysterie rond Mars is opgelost'.

Er wordt uitgebreid gespeculeerd. Zou er bijvoorbeeld methaan of water gevonden zijn (wat weer kan duiden op de mogelijkheid dat er leven is op de planeet)? Of zou de Marsrover Curiosity iets anders hebben gevonden?

De NASA pakt behoorlijk uit met een persconferentie waar de belangrijkste ruimtewetenschappers aanwezig zijn. Deze is via NASA.tv live te zien. Morgen om 17:30 dus.
