UFO researchers' computers hacked over mysterious "Roswell slides"

November 26, 2014 - Ross, a commenter at the 'UFO Conjecture(s)' blog, stated today in an email exchange with 'The UFO Trail' that his email and the accounts of some high profile UFO-researchers were hacked in relation to the alleged Roswell slides. Ross further stated that he believed "a three letter agency" was responsible.

Ross stated that he assumed he was initially targeted due to his involvement in email exchanges about the slides. He first got involved in the saga, he indicated, about 18 months ago through reading 'UFO Conjecture(s)' and exchanging emails with its author, Rich Reynolds.

"The 'hacking' thing involved Tony Bragalia, Rich Reynolds, Nick Redfern and myself," Ross wrote.

"Based on the resources required to do what I think they were doing; intercepting our comms as opposed to just 'hacking' and just the way things transpired I'm of the opinion this was a three letter agency," he added.

The party responsible for compromising the emails was obviously interested in the slides, Ross explained, and generally caused disruption.

"My instinct was that whoever we were dealing with had a sophisticated operation behind them," Ross wrote, "and figured I may as well try communicating to see what they have to say (the hacker used various safe-mail accounts to interact with us)."

Ross continued, "The first response I received to a communication I had initiated was a list of emails which were mostly discussions about the slides, but there was some unrelated material there (which I discarded). This was obviously the hacker wanting to let me know the extent of the surveillance. There was a lot of smoke and mirrors, but overall the story was that these slides were of interest to certain three letter agencies. There were offers of money, a sit down meeting with someone fully briefed in what the government really knows about UFOs, and even the opportunity to see for real what the slides supposedly depict. All these offers were related to my acting as a conduit to arrange a meeting between the people handling the slides and the party/parties doing the 'hacking'. This wasn't something I was in a position to set up not being in contact with or on good terms with the people involved."

Ross alleged that further intrusions involved telephone disruptions, explaining, "I got some strange calls and some even stranger interruptions into calls I was making. It would be things like 'have you considered our offer', 'we can help each other', that kind of thing. I had kept that part quiet because people just tend to write people who say stuff like that off as loons."

The events unfolded "over the last few months," subsiding in the last six weeks or so. Ross interpreted that computer experts and the FBI were alerted to the circumstances but investigations resulted in "dead ends".

"It was clear to me that what they were engaged in was a labor, it wasn't recreational, it was a case of this is how we do this and it has to be done. For example, 'these issues crop up from time to time and it is important that we deal with them so they can be managed in a way consistent with established practices', which was an answer as to what was with all the smoke and mirrors and bullshit riddles."

"I think the goal was to spook people," Ross concluded, "to derail the slides investigation and to attempt to recruit people into a conspiracy with the ultimate goal of securing the slide material on their behalf."

Prior to the email exchange with Ross, attempts were made to obtain comments from writer/researcher Thomas Carey about his statements about the slides during his recent appearance at American University. Carey was emailed Nov. 13 and permission was requested to submit a few questions, to which Carey replied the same day, "Sure."

The questions, which included inquiries about what evidence he felt existed that directly linked the alleged slides to Roswell and what he would say to critics that assert the slides only contain images of unknown circumstances that cannot be conclusively demonstrated to involve an ET life form, were emailed Nov. 14. Wederom UFO's in vreemde wolk ( Video )

Steeds meer zien we vreemde “wolken” die door kleine ronde witte UFO's gebruikt worden als een soort basis.

Dit keer werd het fenomeen gefilmd boven een voorstad van Parijs.

Het is 14 november aan het van de middag en tegen zonsondergang in een voorstad van Parijs.

De lucht is vrij helder met uitzondering van een grote donkere wolk aan de horizon. Aan de rand ervan zien we weer de bekende witte UFO's/orbs.

Op de volgende foto zie je op de voorgrond de huizen en bomen en aan de horizon een vreemde donkere wolk in een verder vrij “schone” lucht met aan de rand een viertal UFO's.

De maker van de video hieronder had ook duidelijk het idee dat de UFO's binnenkwamen voor een landing “in de wolk” zoals te zien op de volgende afbeelding.

Ook hier is er weer sprake dat de lichten op een gegeven moment van kleur veranderen naar een soort rood/oranje.

Volgens de maker is er geen twijfel over mogelijk dat de vloot UFO's op weg was naar deze specifieke wolk. Volgens hem om zich daarin te verbergen.

Volgens ons om terug te keren naar de basis. Dit kan zijn een groot moederschip wat zich ophoudt in de wolk of dat deze fungeert als een dimensiepoort waardoor de UFO's huiswaarts keren.

Vanwege de spectaculaire video uit Mexico onlangs zijn wij geneigd om het laatste te geloven. Het enige wat er bij deze wolk ontbreekt zijn de bliksemflitsen die over het algemeen eveneens worden waargenomen. Misschien waren die er, maar wordt dit door de maker verder niet vermeld.

Deze gebeurtenis doet uiteraard ook sterk denken aan het prachtige verhaal van de getuige uit Friesland.

Dit fenomeen, moederschepen en/of dimensiepoorten met kleine witte ronde UFO's is iets dat de laatste tijd veelvuldig wordt waargenomen. Misschien duurt het daarom wel niet meer zolang voordat dit raadsel wordt opgelost.

SyFy has made the claim never-before-seen photos from NASA will be shown in this documentary, revealing installations, factories, saucers, hangers and huge satellite dishes on the moon. Astronauts and other experts will be in the film to comment, I think this is one show worth checking out. The documentary marks the 45th anniversary of man's first landing on the Moon.

Chile Releases Official Study on UFO Photos

The government office investigating UFOs in Chile has released an analysis of two high quality photos showing what appear be genuine unidentified flying objects above a remote copper mine.  The office, known as the CEFAA  (Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena), is located within the Ministerial Department of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), the equivalent of our FAA, under the jurisdiction of the Chilean Air Force. It is responsible for the analysis of selected reports of unexplained aerial phenomena in Chilean airspace, most of them from pilots and aviation personnel.

The photos were taken at the Collahuasi copper mine, more than 14,000 feet above sea level in the Andean plateau in the far north of Chile. An extremely remote location with low oxygen levels and unusually clear skies, the area is desolate and inhospitable.  The Collahuasi mine produces copper concentrate, copper cathodes and molybdenum concentrate from three open-pit mineral deposits.  (Click here for a map).

Four technicians - professionals specializing in electricity, electronics, and fluid control - were working there in April, 2013.  They witnessed a disc-shaped object which approached slowly and was present for more than an hour, moving around in different positions and hovering at about 2000 feet.  One technician took pictures with his Kenox Samsung S860 camera. The strange object made no sound, and eventually moved away towards the East.

The witnesses decided not to tell anybody because of the negative associations they had with UFO sightings, and therefore had every intention of always keeping the sighting private.  But some months later, the photographer casually showed the pictures to the chief engineer at the mine, who asked for copies. The engineer sent the images to the CEFAA in February, and provided the agency with information reported to him by the witnesses. He too has requested anonymity.

Chile's meteorological office at the DGAC confirmed that there was an absolute clear sky at that time, and that there was no possibility of lenticular clouds.  All other meteorological phenomena have been ruled out by Chilean officials as a possible explanation. 

CEFAA officials told me they determined that there were no drones operating near the mine. "People in that zone know about drones," said Jose Lay, international affairs director for the CEFAA. "Fishing companies use drones and they make a lot of noise. This was definitely not a drone."  DGAC officials also ruled out any experimental aircraft, planes, weather balloons, or anything else that could explain the incident.

With all conventional explanations eliminated, the CEFAA staff determined that the photos were worthy of analysis. The results of this study, conducted by a leading CEFAA analyst at the DGAC Meteorological Office, was released on July 3rd and is posted on the CEFAA website.

The report states that the witnesses described the phenomenon as "a flattened disc, of brilliant color, with a diameter of 5 to 10 meters [16 to 32 feet]. It performed ascending, descending and horizontal movements in short lengths, about 600 meters above the ground." The witnesses had the impression that the object was under intelligent control.

The first image, enlarged and filtered, shows a solid object reflecting the sunlight, the report states. It adds that the object could be emitting it's own energy as well, due to the high temperature shown in the image (the black area).

The second photo shows the object in a different position in the sky. (The CEFAA does not know the time sequence between the two images.)

The text on this diagram of the enlarged second image indicates lines where very soft rays were reflected from an  "extremely luminous half sphere."  The analyst concludes that the object "emitted its own energy that does not coincide with the natural sunlight which is also reflected off the object." At noon, the brightness underneath could not have been caused by the sun, which was reflected off the top.

The study concludes that "It is an object or phenomenon of great interest, and it can be qualified as a UFO."

Despite the strength of this analysis, the CEFAA staff recognize the limitations of the Collahuasi case. "The witnesses were not willing to cooperate," Jose Lay told me. "We tried to contact them, and we got no reply. So we treated the material just as we have treated several others of the same or similar nature: we file them for future reference or comparison purposes. That's all we can do in this case." 

Retired General Ricardo Bermudez, director of the CEFAA, says "We recognize that this is the determination of only one CEFFA analyst among several. So we still must be cautious."  He has called a meeting of the CEFFA scientific committee, composed of high level specialists from  laboratories and universities, for next week. Although they are not expert visual photo-video analysts, the opinion of this distinguished group, which supports the work of the CEFAA and assists with investigations when needed, could shed further light on the case.

The South American media has shown great interest in these images. In the US, retired Navy physicist Bruce Maccabee, a well known photo analyst, has this to say:  "In the second image there appears to be a very bright hemispherical shape, convex downward... possibly a UFO enveloped in a cloud of vapor." He notes that additional data is needed to determine more, but that it is clear that the object moved "a considerable distance" between the two photos.

"This is clearly not a normal thing seen in the sky (bird, plane, cloud, etc.)," added Dr. Maccabee in an email. "That makes it either the real thing - UFO - or a hoax, and it doesn't appear to be a hoax, although the inability to question witnesses  does reduce the credibility.  Certainly this case is worthy of further study."

It is indeed unfortunate that the four witnesses have not been willing to speak to the authorities, who could guarantee them anonymity. But even so, these images are important because they were studied by a government agency with access to the pertinent information needed for a proper analysis. That in itself is unusual. I commend the CEFAA for taking on cases such as this. The experts there conducted a serious investigation, and then released the information to the public, with no reservations about acknowledging the possible existence of a UFO, since that is warranted.

UFO mania: News 9 Investigates The Phenomenon Of RODS

Cameras capture a variety of moments in time, but sometimes they capture something else, something unexplained. One man from New Mexico believes he's discovered a new life form, which has spurred a worldwide debate.

"There is a phenomenon that exist among us," said Jose Escamilla, founder and researcher of RODS. "They're like sky fish. They swim through the air like fish."

He first captured a strange image on his photographs back in 1994.

"At first I thought they were insects, birds you know floating close to the lens of the camera," he said.

However, at such a high shutter setting, he says he eliminated the possibility of it being an insect or a bird, but something else, something mysterious.

"We think it's a living entity of some kind. It does have behavior of being alive," said Escamilla. "They're very evasive, they're super fast."

Escamilla calls this entity a ROD, measuring one to six feet long with a cylinder body and multiple sets of wings.

"We don't know what they're doing here. We don't know how long they've been here," he said. "We have rock carvings that appears to show RODS on carve drawings from 50,000 years ago."

Skeptics, however, don't buy into the ROD theory. Skeptics like Mark Zimmerman, an assistant Professor of Photography at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

"I hate to call myself a skeptic, but I'm probably labelled as that because I just think there's some sort of scientific answer for things like this," said Zimmerman. "I think it's interesting and makes for a good topic of discussion."

In fact, he discussed the phenomenon in class recently after one of his students, Erick Perry, captured what appears to be a ROD in a photograph taken for a class assignment.

"It was actually somebody in class who pointed it out," said Perry.

As part of the assignment, Perry took the same photograph at a cemetery during different times of the day. In the night photograph, a white object appeared in the upper right-handed corner.

"People in class joked around about it, like UFOs, but most likely, it was probably like a bug or a plane or something," he said. "The fact that it was in a cemetery made it a little more creepy."

Zimmerman agrees the object is more than likely not out of this world.

"You can capture planes as they're going across the sky, satellites, things that you typically wouldn't see other than like a dot typically when you look up," he said. "Whereas with the longer shutter, when it's open, things will move and light will reflect off of it."

Wanting to prove his point, Zimmerman shot a series of photographs at different exposure times around a porch light, capturing what appears to be objects similar to Rods, but actually turned out to be moths. Like other camera experts, Zimmerman says cameras are capable of producing artifacts, something in the picture that wasn't actually there.

Escamilla viewed Perry's photograph from class and says the mysterious object is not a ROD, but perhaps an airplane. However, he says that doesn't disprove his ROD theory.

"Each object has its own certain footprint, it's certain pattern of flight, you can tell what an insect looks like, you can tell what a bird looks like, a dragonfly and a ROD is a ROD," he said.

Escamilla says RODS can be seen anywhere but their hotbeds are in Washington DC, New Orleans, Canada, Mexico, Texas, Arizona and California the U.S. He says they've also been captured in Scotland, Russia, Japan, China, Germany and the UK.

Escamilla has seen RODS in photographs and video of space and even underwater. He even spied a ROD in video taken from SkyNews9 during tornado coverage in 1999.

"Those RODS are huge. That one white ROD that comes out of the top of the cloud, that cloud front was 10 miles away from the helicopter and it comes out in three frames. That thing must have been a 100 feet in length," said Escamilla.

So what do you believe? Do rods exist among us, these strange living things that appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, caught at just the right moment in time?

"I think everyone always has some sort of conspiracy on anything. I mean, it could be Bigfoot," said Zimmerman.

"This phenomenon is real and for those of you who don't believe in it, that's your prerogative. You can believe what you want, or disbelieve, but the fact is, these things are here," said Escamilla. "They are doing something here. We don't know what they do but they are doing it."

Escamilla says technology has improved the documentation of RODS, where he's now able to capture them using infrared filters and in high-speed footage.

MUFON kickstarter campaign: A global UFO database!

The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) needs your help to raise funds to build a Global UFO Database. MUFON’s current database was released eight years ago and needs to be updated to meet the needs of the number of people who report UFOs and it will make the process easier and more efficient. But we know as well as anyone that being the oldest and the largest doesn’t necessarily make you the best. As a non-profit organization, we have no motive other than our mission.

As a civilian organization, we have not ties or pressure from the agenda of the US government.

That said, we will likely continue to launch features and fixes after the first release.

The pledge period runs through December 2, 2014, and the project will only be funded if it raises at least $78,000. Nearly $9,000 was raised in the early hours of the campaign.

Did UFOs in Portugal cause ‘angel hair’ to fall from the sky?

Witnesses in Portugal were left perplexed as they watched “angel hair” fall from the sky.

These strange wispy strands descended from the sky during a late October afternoon. According to witnesses, the phenomenon was observed during two consecutive weekends.

According to UK media outlet Metro, a witness claims,

Me and a couple of friends sent [the angel hair] to be analysed – and the weirdest things happened. It reacts to UV light. It comes alive.

Instances of this angel hair falling from the sky have been reported around the world. But studying the material has proven difficult. As the Metro points out, “The samples often evaporate before they can be properly analysed.”

However, material was collected from an angel hair incident in Italy in 1954. Spectrographic analysis revealed that the sample contained boron, silicon, calcium, and magnesium. But, aside from its composition, researchers were unable to determine what it was.

Some believe that angel hair is nothing more than spider webs spun by migrating spiders who use these webs as sails to fly through the sky. But as researchers who looked at the analysis done on the Italy samples point out, spider webs are made up of nitrogen, calcium, hydrogen, and oxygen–not the elements reportedly found in the collected samples.

Others believe that angel hair is a byproduct of UFO propulsion systems.

Reported angel hair sightings were more common in the 1970s. But, as UFO researcher Nigel Watson, author of the Haynes Manual for UFO Investigations,  points out, “It is only in recent years that angel hair sightings have returned again.”

The latest image captured by Mars Rover Curiosity shows a very small metallic-like object what looks like a chip or broken particle of an artificially made object.

Fallstreak Clouds: Nature's Rapture

Fallstreak Cloud over Australia (November, 2014)

At the beginning of the month, a rather peculiar anomaly was spotted over the skies of Wonthaggi, Australia.  Dozens took to Twitter to share photographs and offer up theories as to what this strange thing in the clouds was.  Many thought that it may be extra-terrestrial in nature…possibly some type of alien spaceship with a shoddy cloaking mechanism engaged.  Some described the image as what the sky will look like during the Rapture.  Others simply had no idea what this thing could be.

Luckily, science had the answer.

This weird anomaly goes by many names including punch hole cloud, hole punch cloud, and fallstreak…and its a MOSTLY natural phenomenon. According to Wikipedia, “such holes are formed when the water temperature in the clouds is below freezing but the water has not frozen yet due to the lack of ice nucleation particles.  When ice crystals DO form, it will set off a domino effect, due to the Bergeron Effect, causing the water droplets around the crystals to evaporate: this leaves a large, often circular, hole in the cloud.”

Interestingly, fallstreak holes were not observed prior to World War II, which led to a working theory that these anomalies are actually sparked by airplanes!  In a study led by Andrew Heymsfield, “the research determined that precipitation is triggered by water droplets at extremely cold temperatures, below about 5 degrees. As the air is cooled behind the planes, the water droplets freeze and drop toward Earth.”

Still…these are beautiful…and beautifully creepy!  They've certainly fooled many a person as to their true identity and will probably continue to do so for years to come!

The man who brought us the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure has now begun phase 2 of his campaign to get the President to admit that the government is aware of an extraterrestrial presence on earth.

Stephen Bassett was the organizer for the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure. He brought dozens of presenters to testify in front of a committee of former members of the US Congress “about events and evidence indicating an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.” The event was held April 29 to May 3, 2013 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

His event garnered a lot of media attention. As usual, a lot of it was tongue in cheek and made fun of his efforts, but some of it was less critical. Either way, the event was praised by the UFO activists. He was even awarded the researcher of the year award at the International UFO Congress.

Now, over a year after the mock-congressional hearings, Bassett is moving forward with the second phase of his effort. This phase is called the Citizen Hearing Initiative.

On his website, Bassett says on November 5 he sent 538 copies of a 10 disc DVD set that includes all of the testimony from the Citizen Hearing to every member of the United States Congress. He then asked supporters of his cause to engage members of the congress via social media requesting them to view the videos and hold congressional hearings on “extraterrestrial related phenomena.”

He says, ” This will be a concentrated three-month effort accompanied by substantial media coverage.  If congressional hearings are held, it is quite likely the truth embargo will collapse.”

Thus far there has not been a lot of media attention, although The Washington Times did post a short write-up yesterday.

Bassett is also hoping to leverage the power of the tweet and hashtags. He is hoping that supporters will help create a “Tweet-Email Storm” by tweeting and emailing members of the house and the senate. He asks that tweeters send messages using the hashtag #Disclosure.

Aliens are certainly a hot topic in Washington D.C. right now. However, congress is having a hard enough time deciding what to do about the terrestrial type. Will a twitter storm be enough for them to put those concerns aside and tackle aliens of an extraterrestrial nature? It might be a task that even tweetin’ can’t accomplish.

Florida disc UFO described as ‘giving off energy’

A Florida witness at Lake Mary recounts a close encounter with a disc-shaped UFO that moved overhead, according to testimony in Case 61661 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was working a night shift as a waiter in Lake Mary and had stepped outside just after sunset with a co-worker about 7:45 p.m. on September 1, 2011, when the object was first seen.

“I noticed a luminous flying saucer coming from the east right over the tree line,” the witness stated.”I was absolutely positive that I was seeing something I have never seen before. It flew directly (90-degrees) over our heads and appeared to be pretty high up, but not at airplane level – traveling west-northwest in a steady line going relatively slow (in my opinion).”

The witness described the object.

“It appeared to be the size of an aspirin (if held up to compare). The light that it was giving off was more like energy than something being emitted from a bulb or beam or something like that. It was a brilliant display of comforting green and silver light, to say the least. There were patterns on the surface, the underside) that looked to be details of its construction. From the time we saw it to the time it flew out of our vision, approximately 3-4 minutes went by.”

The witness had the feeling that the object knew it was being watched.

“My sighting was special because of how clearly it was a disk flying gently through the sky. I felt happy and comfortable, like seeing this object made me feel this way. It also seemed like our thoughts could be read or like they somehow knew we were watching them. I can’t really explain in detail this feeling.”

Lake Mary is a suburban city in Seminole County, Florida, population 13,822.

Florida has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Florida had 30 UFO reports that occurred during October 2014 – calculated at 1.55 sightings per million population.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

UFO's achtervolgen passagiersvliegtuig...

Wanneer een passagier op een Zuid Amerikaanse vlucht de bemanning vertelt dat hij een UFO naast het toestel ziet, krijgt hij een vreemd antwoord.

In zoverre dat hem wordt verteld dat dit eigenlijk niets bijzonders is en dat ze dit regelmatig zien.

Op 18 november 2014 stapte de zakenman Julio Belli aan boord van een Boeing 737 van de Braziliaanse luchtvaartmaatschappij GOL voor een vlucht van Sao Paulo naar Guarulhos.

Ongeveer een uur na vertrek, toen het vliegtuig op ongeveer tien kilometer hoogte vloog, zag Julio Belli iets vreemds door het raam.

Hij keek naar beneden en zag een vreemd licht vliegen op ongeveer zeeniveau. Alhoewel het een hele heldere dag was met weinig bewolking was het object duidelijk zichtbaar.

Even daarna verscheen het naast het vliegtuig, iets hoger dan het toestel.

Het volgende is wat Julio Belli vertelde:

“We stegen op om 12:40 en het was rond 13:12 dat ik het object voor het eerst zag. Ik slaagde erin om wat foto's te maken.

Omdat het vliegtuig bijna leeg was, kon ik ook naar de andere kant gaan en ook vanaf die kant kon ik hetzelfde soort vreemde object zien.

Ik dacht dat het misschien de reflectie van het raam kon zijn, dus maakte ik verschillende keren dezelfde foto van een ander deel van het luchtruim, maar op die foto's verscheen geen vreemd gekleurd object.

Naast dat de objecten erg fel leken hadden ze aan beide kanten een donkerdere kleur, oranje. Ook gedurende de tijd dat het zichtbaar was, veranderde het diverse keren van kleur.”  Het vreemde was dat er een UFO zichtbaar was aan beide zijden van het toestel.

Aangezien het geen reflectie van de camera was, betekende dit dus dat er twee UFO's waren. Het was duidelijk dat ze het toestel volgden en soms waren ze verdwenen om even later weer op te duiken. Op een bepaald moment waren ze beiden verdwenen.

Belli die nog nooit zoiets had gezien, vond dat hij de cockpitbemanning moest waarschuwen. Echter deze reageerden absoluut niet zoals hij had verwacht.

Eén van de piloten vertelde Belli doodleuk dat ze hetzelfde veel vaker zien en dan vooral boven de regenwouden en boven Manaus.

Als je dat hoort dan vraag je je af hoeveel meer vliegtuigbemanningen vreemde objecten zien, die heel gewoon vinden en er dus ook verder maar niets over vertellen aan anderen.

Depictions of UFOs and Aliens In Renaissance Art

The Madonna with Saint Giovannino

Western Civilization’s Middle Ages and Renaissance periods created one of the most mysterious and controversial works of art in recorded history. As artists refined their skills and passed them to their apprentices, these works of art have grown more impressive over the years. Old paintings serve as inspiration to many artists and museum visitors, who appreciate the artistic skills of these periods of Western Civilization.

However, could these old paintings depict something beyond Earth, something that perceives as UFOs by modern people, such as flying saucers?

The common paintings in that era are religious in nature, which they seem to depict UFOs, men in the aircraft, and laser beams. The apparent UFOs are usually painted overhead observing religious events, such as the crucifixion of Jesus or his birth.

One of the most popular examples is the painting by Domenico Ghirlandaio “The Madonna With Saint Giovannino.” The 15^th-century painting is currently exhibited at Palazzo Vecchio Museum in Florence, Italy. The painting shows baby Jesus and Saint Mary, but it apparently also depicts a man with his dog staring at a UFO in the sky in the background of the painting. Interestingly, the UFO looks like the depiction of modern flying saucer emanating golden radiant energy.

The Annunciation

Another painting that depicts saucer-like UFO in the same era is “The Annunciation,” by Carlo Crivelli in 1486. It’s on display at the National Gallery of London at the moment. The circular object in this painting emanates a narrow beam of radiant energy on Saint Mary.

Supporters of ancient alien hypothesis believe that this painting shows evidence of the existence of ancient aliens. However, UFO skeptics and artistic scholars would say that this is an artistic representation of angels encircled God.

Believers of ancient aliens think that people of that time considered the appearance of the aircraft as religious events as evident on the inclusion of this aircraft on religious depiction in the paintings. Meanwhile, others say that the depicted objects have nothing to do with flying saucers and they are mainly spiritual in nature.

Adoration of the Christ Child

UFO and alien skeptics referred the 15^th-century painting “Adoration of the Christ Child,” by Vincenzo Foppa, which is very similar to “The Madonna With Saint Giovannino.” This particular painting also includes a man figure staring at the sky in the background. However, it this case, instead of a flying saucer, the man is looking at a winged angel emanating light.

The 14^th-century painting “Crucifixion,” in the Visoki Decani Monastery in Kosovo, shows human figures inside an unknown object. However, skeptics say that the object in the paintings during this time is the personification of the moon and sun, which were usually shown as observers during the birth of Jesus. They say that that the objects in Crucifixion painting are the moon and the sun and the human figures inside are personification of these things.

Mysterious celestial objects in paintings of the end Middle Ages were depicted by a woodcut by artist Han Glaser. The painting shows an event in Nuremberg, Germany on April 14, 1561 that highlighted several moving celestial objects fall to the ground from the sky. This event was witnessed by many people. A 1680 jeton coin from France also depicts a wheel-like object that resembles a flying saucer.

The examples and arguments of both sides will likely to continue for many years and it seems that the next generation will have a difficult time figuring the films of current generation.

Odd Incidents In Roswell

I received the following submission several years ago, but decided to post again after a similar situation in the same area was recently reported to me. I am looking into the new incident…but in the meantime, I can offer this narrative:

I was in Los Angeles at my Mom’s house while my friend was visiting our other friend who had just moved to Roswell, NM. All of a sudden I got a text from Leah…she was very frightened and wanted to know if there were such things as aliens for real. She felt that something was gonna happen to her. She texted me everything that was happening to her as it happened and I could tell by the way she was typing her words that she was terrified & scared for her life. I became very frightened myself as I read her texts. I kept telling her to CALL ME and she wouldn’t…she just continued texting & finally she said she didn’t want to call because they would hear her.

Anyway…this is the story she told me about what happened to her that night. She was coming back from a late night call in Hobbs (like 2 am) and she still had several miles to go to reach the house where she was staying in Roswell. She said that she saw a light in the sky zoom past her from the front. Then suddenly she became aware of very bright lights behind her car that seemingly came out of nowhere but were following her car in very close proximity & resembled the headlights of a car except that there was no car visibly attached to them. It was as if the lights themselves were floating & following her…when she would speed up they would speed up very close to her car. When she would slow down they would slow down even more to the point where they were no longer close to her car anymore but they would stall way further behind so that she could still not get a good look at the vehicle behind the lights. Then she would speed up…to 100 miles per hour at one point because she was trying to see how far they would go to keep up with her and they were almost glued to her bumper at that point. They had no problem staying right along with her at that speed and yet they would not pass her. While she was driving very fast trying to shake the lights the inside of her car filled up with a noise that she could not quite put into words. She said it seemed to be coming from her purse beside her and it was a loud and terrifying sound unlike anything she ever heard before and she felt at that moment that they were trying to make her crash. She started noticing all the skid marks on the road that were going off the road in the same direction and how many there were. One after the other…like almost 30 sets of skid marks all within a 1 mile stretch of road that she felt was designated for that purpose & she felt that it was intended for her to do the same. She got the idea that they were amused by her fear and that they could read her mind & that’s why she was afraid to call me because she felt they would hear her.

Almost as fast as the lights appeared they disappeared & she resumed her driving normally till she reached her friend’s house. She was so scared she couldn’t even get out of the car. Our friend had to come get her. She got very very ill the next day she couldn’t get out of bed…she was terribly sick for 2 days. Before the incident occurred she was not one to really care too much one way or the other about other life forms and she bordered on disbelief in anything she had not seen with her own eyes. She now has a firm belief in alien life forms & she also believes that they were trying to run her off the road that night and that they had run several people off the road before…evidenced by the many skid marks that were veering off the road in the same direction in that one little mile stretch of highway.

The other strange thing that happened was that when we were both discussing it a few days later we wanted to re-trace her route that she took that night to try to determine where it had happened exactly and her latitude history for that little stretch of time was missing. We looked at all the records of the texts that we sent back and forth both on her phone and on mine. We both have Google voice & it saves every text and phone call…yet there was no trace of any of the texts on either end. It was very strange.

Then 2 weeks after this happened my daughter came to visit me in California…she had done a movie shoot out in Roswell and she told me this story:

She was shooting a movie about aliens and she wanted it on location in Roswell so she brought her equipment and crew members out to Roswell. They shot the scenes & ended up having to spend the night out there. So she went to the (redacted the hotel name) and paid for several rooms for herself and her crew members for the night. Upon going to bed she discovered (as did the rest of her crew members in each of their own rooms) that the bed mattresses and box springs were covered with massive blood stains & there was not a mattress or box spring in the whole hotel that did not have blood stains on it (for which they would not even offer an explanation). Why would the whole hotel be filled with mattresses covered with blood?? Very scary sh*t. Needless to say they left and will not be returning. – KC

NOTE: I redacted the name of the hotel in the post. I did followup and called the hotel and explained the situation…namely, the reported blood on the beds. The manager actually acknowledged that they were aware of the allegations but would not comment any further. I checked with the Chaves County, NM health authorities and was told that this particular hotel has only received complaints for bed bugs. I contacted a colleague who lives in Artesia, NM and travels to Roswell several times a week on business. He states that there have been several incidents reported of people being run off the road by unknown flying craft, especially on RT 285 north from Roswell…Lon

UFOs Fly Close To European Power Plant! (Video and Photos)

(N.Morgan) In an incredible capture, uploaded by looknowtv, we see images of what appears to be UFOs flying around a power plant in Poland. These extraordinary images conjure many questions about why UFOs would be flying around such a facility. Could they be recharging their crafts somehow? 

We can see two orb UFOs which seemingly disappear at the start of the video. A third UFO is a Cigar shaped UFO which flies across screen before disappearing into the horizon. looknowtv were in contact with the young girl who submitted this video via e-mail, she spoke very little English, but we managed to get some information about this sighting. The UFO Timetable And The Melting Man

41 years ago The Pittsburg Press published a factual report on UFO sightings. I wonder if it’s still relevant today. Here are the highlights:

For some odd reason, UFOs follow a timetable.

In Holland, Dutch statisticians have found that Mondays produce the greatest number of UFO reports. A survey of 800 reports in Belgium has disclosed that the largest percentage of sightings in that country take place on Tuesdays.

In the United States Wednesdays generate more UFO reports than any other day.

Sightings in all countries tend to concentrate around the 10th and 21st of the month. But the two days that produce the most sightings of all are June 24 and September 24, and this ‘coincidence’ is true for many of the years since 1896. [The Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting of 1947 was on June 24]

Thousands of Landings

There have been thousands of UFO sightings reported all over the world. Dr. Jacques Vallee, a French statistician, has catalogued 923 landing reports between 1868 and 168.

The creatures alleged to have emerged from the objects represent a menagerie of monsters – from 20-foot giants to tiny bearded characters only a few inches tall, From hairy creatures with glowing red eyes to animated tin cans.

England’s Flying Saucer Review has been following the situation since 1955, and has compiled a massive file of worldwide landings.

Aside from the incredible bug-eyed monsters, the most commonly described UFO pilot is a being with long hair dressed in a seamless silver suit. He has oriental eyes, thin lips, an olive complexion and has unusually long fingers. Entities with these characteristics have been seen at one time or another in almost every country.

In innumerable cases, hysterical witnesses have claimed they were taken aboard saucer-shaped vehicles and given some kind of medical examination.

Apparently mysterious lights the aliens used, emit ultraviolet radiation. There are many documented cases in which witnesses suffered burns, similar to sunburn, after exposure to one of the objects.

The strangest injury of all occurred in the village of Araçariguama, Brazil, in 1946. According to Dr Irineu Jose Da Silverira, Joao Prestes Filho, 40, was struck by a mysterious beam of light (definitely not lightning).

Within hours, in frnt of a clustered horrified neighbours and relatives, his body began to deteriorate and his “flesh started to look as though it had been vooked for many hours in boiling water.”

The Incredible Melting Man

He did not lose consciousness and did not appear to feel any pain as lumps of flesh dropped from his body. His nose and ears fell off, the witnesses claimed. He died en route to a hospital.

There are other incidents in which witmesses have died shortly after a close encounter with one of the objects, apparently killed by radiation poisoning.

Until recently cases of this sort were rarely circulated beyond the pages of the UFO journals.

‘Platform-like’ UFO spotted hovering near Arkansas nuclear plant

An Arkansas witness at Dover reported watching a “bright, flashy, platform-like object” hovering near the nuclear plant in Russellvillle, according to testimony in Case 61651 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The object was noticed beginning about 1 a.m. on November 8, 2014, which was about 20 miles from the witnesses’ home.

“It emitted multi-colored lights as it stay stationary in the sky,” the witness stated. “For the next following two hours I would check on it periodically.”

The object moved at about 3 a.m.

“It ascended a flight path over my house and was completely out of view within three minutes. Object had no sound and had a strange electromagnetic-like feeling pulsate through my body as it flew over me.”

The witness has tracked other objects in the area and has experience flying aircraft.

The planet that shouldn't exist: Astronomer discovers mysterious planet far  beyond Neptune

The evidence for 'Planet X' - the mysterious hypothetical planet on the edge of
our solar system - has taken a new turn thanks to the mathematics of a noted
astronomer.

Rodney Gomes, an astronomer at the National Observatory of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, says the irregular orbits of small icy bodies beyond Neptune imply that a planet four times the size of Earth is swirling around our sun in the fringes of the solar system.

Gomes measured the orbits of 92 Kuiper belt objects - small bodies and dwarf planets - and said that six objects appeared to be tugged off-course compared to their expected orbits.

Speaking at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society Rodney Gomes presented complex calculations and computer models, indicating the existence of this world as a genuine possibility.

He told astronomers at the AAS that the most likely reason for the irregular orbits was a 'planetary-mass solar companion' - a distant body of planet size that is powerful enough to move the Kuiper belt objects.

He suggested the planet would be four times bigger than Earth - around the size of Neptune and would be 140 billion miles from the sun, or about 1,500 times further than the Earth.

Planetary scientist Rodney Gomes of the National Observatory in Rio de Janeiro suggested that Planet X might be “extra solar.” Many of the sun’s siblings have their own planets, and it’s possible that these stars stole planets from each others’ gravitational pull.

The information -- protected for 80 years -- is expected to reveal Mayan beliefs in future catastrophes and wisdom characterized as "shocking," producer Raul Julia-Levy, son of actor Raul Julia, told TheWrap.

The end of the Mayan calendar in December 2012 has long given rise to theories and speculation about the end of the world.

The agreement will allow Julia-Levy to film in never-before-seen locations.

"The Mayans used to construct one pyramid over another," tourism minister for the Mexican state of Campeche Luis Augusto Garcia Rosado told TheWrap. "In the site at Calakmul (pictured below right), workers for INAH [the National Institute of Anthropology and History] have discovered rooms inside the pyramid that have never been seen or explored before.

"And we're letting this documentary film there, to see what has been discovered inside the pyramid."  

Julia-Levy (above) said he'd been made aware of the secret Mayan information by former Mexican president Vicente Fox -- a friend of his family -- and that it took four years of phone calls to finally get the OK from current president Felipe Calderon.

"This is very important for humanity, not just for Mexico," said Julia-Levy. "This information has been protected for 80 years, and now it's important for people to understand the series of events that are coming, and the consequences for all of us."

The English-language documentary will be directed by Juan Carlos Ruflo (whose other films include the 2006 Sundance winner "In the Pit"), and will begin shooting later this year. Elbert said the filmmakers are talking to investors and waiting for the government to give them their first look at the material and the site.

One big condition from the Mexican government was that the film get an initial theatrical release, which is planned for next fall, said Ed Elbert who is co-producing along with Julia-Levy and Sheila M. McCarthy and executive producer Eduardo Vertiz.

"It has to be released before the end of the Mayan calendar, which is Dec. 21, 2012," said Julia-Levy.

That’s the date that the Mayan calendar -- which some believe predicts a worldwide cataclysm -- comes to the end of a 5,126-year cycle, and resets for another cycle. 

Julia-Levy has been specifically ordered not to talk about any of the more mystical possibilities that might strain credulity as Mexico prepares to launch the far-reaching (and tourism-inducing) 2012 Mayan World Program.

At one point, Rosado was quoted in a press release talking about contact between the Mayans and extraterrestrials. That statement has been recalled, and Rosado now paints this as a simpler, more archaeological-oriented documentary.

"At the moment, talk of the Mayans is a big thing," Rosado said. "We've counted over 3 million websites talking about the end of the Mayan calendar, and we have been contacted by a lot of producers who want to come and film on our sites."

The project is similar in some ways to a novel Julia-Levy was writing, variously entitled "Chronicles of the Mayan Tunnel" and "Secrets of the Mayan Time Machine." He and co-producer Elbert were also going to make a 3D movie from that novel starring him and Wesley Snipes, he said in the summer of 2010.

Several reports from that time said the novel was being written with the help of "secret information" never before released by the Mexican government. But in their conversations with TheWrap, Julia-Levy and Elbert dismissed that project as a "Harry Potter"-style piece of fiction with no connection to the current documentary.

That film has been set aside, they said, because Snipes is serving a prison sentence for tax evasion. "We put that film on hold," said Elbert. "Dollar-wise, this documentary might be smaller, but it is based on the release of new and important knowledge from the Mayans."

Asked if the movie will involve aliens, mystical elements or doomsday scenarios that have fueled the popular imagination, Julia-Levy declined to elaborate.

"I'm not allowed to speak about that," he said. "Everything is going to come out in time, but I can't comment on aliens or on 2012.

"I can just say that the Mexican government is preparing to tell humanity and the world things that are critical for us, for the way we live, for the way we've been handling the planet."

Grote planeet achter Saturnus misschien wel degelijk echt! 

Nadat vorige week de video uitkwam die liet zien dat er er zich achter Saturnus een groot planeetachtig object bevindt, is er zo links en rechts toch wel commotie over ontstaan.

De “debunkers” kwamen uiteraard onmiddellijk in actie en wisten “zonder enige twijfel” aan te tonen dat het hier ging om een nepopname. 

Ook de maker van de video, ene Tyler Glockner, werd uit alle hoeken en gaten aangevallen en zoals gebruikelijk in dit soort situaties, beschuldigd van het maken van nepvideo's om veel geld te verdienen met advertenties.

Tyler is niet in de verdediging gegaan. Hij zegt dat als zoveel mensen beweren dat het nep is, dit dan wel zo zal zijn en dat hij de video niet gemaakt heeft. Hij kreeg het bestand naar eigen zeggen anoniem opgestuurd en het enige wat hij gedaan heeft is het publiceren daarvan.

Wat opvalt in dit hele verhaal is de felheid waarmee Tyler wordt aangevallen. Er worden uiteraard regelmatig video's online gezet die later nep blijken te zijn, maar in dit geval zijn de aanvallen wel heel erg heftig.

Als je kijkt naar wat de “debunkers” aanvoeren als argument waarom deze video nep zou zijn dan blijven er eigenlijk twee punten over.

De meesten zeggen dat de videomaker een bestaande planeet heeft genomen en deze in een programma als Paint heeft bewerkt. Alleen welke planeet dan bewerkt zou zijn, daar verschillen de meningen dan weer over. De ene zegt Uranus en een ander heeft het over een bewerkte afbeelding van Jupiter en ook Neptunus wordt genoemd. Een niet erg sterk argument omdat je in feite iedere planeet in een programma als Paint kunt bewerken totdat deze eruit ziet zoals je wilt.

Het tweede argument dat wordt aangehaald is dat de hoek waaronder Saturnus wordt afgebeeld in de video niet klopt ten opzichte van de huidige stand van de aarde. En dat is wel degelijk een geldig argument.

Echter, iemand die ook de video zorgvuldig heeft geanalyseerd is Marshall Masters en hij komt met een aantal inzichten waaruit zou kunnen blijken dat deze video misschien wel degelijk echt is.

Zo heeft hij na onderzoek geen sporen kunnen ontdekken van manipulatie door middel van programma's zoals Paint of Photoshop.

Verder zegt Masters het volgende:

Klokkenluider Ken zegt niet wanneer de opname is gemaakt of welke telescoop gebruikt is voor het maken van de opname. Het enige dat hij zegt is dat hij een mobiele telefoon heeft gebruikt om de beelden op een computerscherm vast te leggen in het W.M. Keck observatorium in Mauna Keaa op Hawaï.

Als we kijken naar de situatie op de dag dat de video uitkwam, 19 november, dan is het duidelijk dat de opname niet gemaakt kan zijn met een telescoop van het observatorium in Hawaï omdat op dat moment Saturnus zich precies achter de zon bevond. 

Alhoewel dit erop lijkt te wijzen dat de debunkers gelijk hebben, is dit toch niet zo want in de video heeft Ken het over het Europese ruimtevaartuig Rosetta dat als speciaal doel zou hebben het observeren van deze onbekende planeet.

Als dat zo is, is het dan misschien zo dat de opname die Ken gefilmd heeft op het computerscherm beelden zijn die door Rosetta naar de aarde zijn gestuurd?

Wanneer we kijken naar de positie van Rosetta op 20 november dan blijkt dit wel degelijk mogelijk te zijn en ineens klopt nu ook de hoek waaronder Saturnus zichtbaar is op de video. 

Ook de positie waar de onbekende planeet, Nibiru of Planet X, zich zou bevinden komt overeen met die  zoals die volgens de theorie van Masters zou moeten zijn.

Vanaf de aarde gezien ongeveer achter of vlak naast de zon. 

Alhoewel hier allerminst mee is bewezen dat de video wél echt zou zijn, wordt door Masters in ieder geval aangetoond dat het mogelijk zou kunnen zijn.

Ook de volgende foto, enkele dagen geleden gemaakt, toont aan dat het mini zonnestelsel Niburu zich achter de zon bevindt.

Minnesota witness alerted to UFO in building reflection

A Minnesota witness reported watching a bullet-shaped UFO hovering next to a Minneapolis building that quickly accelerated to the northeast after first seeing its reflection, according to testimony in Case 61617 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was a front seat passenger in a carpool on a clear and bright day on October 28, 2014, when the object was first noticed.

“I was looking out of the passenger window and idly ran my eyes up the side of a mirrored building approximately 15-degrees to the right of my central viewpoint,” the witness stated. “As I followed the building up, I noticed the reflection of the craft in the side of the building.”

The witness turned her attention away from the building and saw the actual craft.

“It was silver, shiny, and somewhat bullet/chevron-shaped with three lights in the rear of the craft – two red, one white. There were no visible windows. No other object was in the area – again, the sky was clear blue.”

The object then moved away quickly.

“The craft remained stationary for the time of about one minute, and then accelerated to the northeast, over downtown Minneapolis. There was no noise from the craft as well. I was quite stunned, then surprise as I realized I had just witnessed an unexplained object.”

The witness provided one illustration of what the object looked like. Minneapolis is the county seat of Hennepin County, population 400,070.

Minnesota has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Minnesota had 5 UFO reports that occurred during October 2014 – calculated at 0.93 sightings per million population.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

The 'Miami Circle' Mystery

Here is a mysterious location that you may never have heard of. The Miami Circle was discovered in August/September, 1998, during routine archaeological investigations conducted at the site of six low-rise, 1950-era apartment buildings (Brickell Point Apartments), which were razed to make way for construction of two high-rise apartment towers. Surveyor Ted Riggs uncovered an arc-like section and was convinced this would be a circle incised into the stone, underneath the three feet of overlying Earth:

Property developer Michael Bauman was in for a real surprise when he purchased a plot of land in downtown Miami in 1998. Bauman's plans for the land were seemingly simple: demolish a 1950-era apartment complex and build a luxury condominium in its place.

During a routine archaeological survey of the site, however, hundreds of mysterious holes were discovered in a layer of Oolitic limestone bedrock and Bauman's development plans immediately came to a halt. Through further investigation, twenty-four of the largest holes comprised a perfect circle, 38 feet (12 m) in diameter, and excavation results found a variety of artifacts ranging from human teeth to ancient tools.

Included in the artifacts were pieces of burnt wood which, after being tested for radiocarbon dating, are believed to be 1800-2000 years old. To date, Miami Circle is the only known evidence in the United States of a prehistoric structure built into bedrock. Evidence from this mysterious prehistoric "footprint" predates other known settlements along the East Coast.

The site is believed to have once been occupied by the Tequesta Indians, a local tribe whose known tools matched some of the shark tooth-related artifacts found during excavation. Theorists have suggested that the holes were structural postholes or part of the foundation for a building. Some believe the building was used for ceremonial purposes, as animal bones and unused tools appeared to be offerings.


 Among these tools were two axe-heads made from basalt, a hard stone that is not indigenous to Florida. The finding of these tools contradicts the theory that the site was occupied by the Tequesta, however, as the volcanic rock is believed to have been from a location in Macon, Georgia - some 600 miles (970 km) away from the site.

The mysterious origin of the site has led to its nickname as "America's Stonehenge", (though there are a number of sites nicknamed this) and some critics and conspiracy theorists have offered alternative theories. Aliens, Mayans and septic tanks are among some of the suggested origins for the holes.

The State of Florida eventually purchased the land from Baumann after a series of high-profile disputes between Native American groups, contractors, and historic preservation committees. Miami Circle, otherwise known as Brickell Point or the Miami River Circle, was declared a National Historic Landmark in early 2009 and is currently under a 44-year lease agreement with the Historical Museum of Southern Florida. WHAT IS THE 'MIAMI CIRCLE'

The Miami Circle is located within archaeological site 8DA1212, aka "Miami Midden #2" or "The Brickell Point Site."   It is situated on a 2.2 +/- acre parcel that is located along the southern bank of the Miami River, where the River meets Biscayne Bay.  The Miami Circle is characterized primarily by a series of 24 main basin "rectangles" which have been cut almost 2 feet deep into the site's oolitic limestone bedrock , 6 smaller ones, and hundreds of random "post holes."  The 30 large and small "rectangular basins" form a ring geometry approximately 37 feet in diameter, with the approximately 500 smaller round holes scattered randomly across the entire circle's width, if not beyond.

Considering the amount of modern construction (and demolition) that has taken place on top of the site, the Miami Circle is remarkably intact -- with approximately 85% of it preserved.  The Brickell Point property contains intact prehistoric midden deposits on at least 50% - 75% of the parcel.  This material contains a tremendous quantity of well-preserved shell, bone, ceramics, and other artifacts deposited during several centuries of human occupation.

The "mainstream" opinion says "the Tequesta Indians," a group of Southern Florida native Americans who inhabited the area from about 2000 years ago to after the Spanish arrived -- spanning roughly the same dates as the artifacts recovered from the Circle's "holes."  A minority opinion (Riggs, Hoagland, et al) says MUCH older...by a sophisticated people who lived here long before the Tequestas were in the area...perhaps as much as 10,000 to 13,000 years ago.

Archaeological evidence suggests the Miami Circle marks the footprint [foundation] of a large, prehistoric structure, possibly the "foundations for a 'Council House,' or other ceremonial structure created by native Americans known as the Tequesta.  The evidence also suggests that the Miami Circle had ceremonial importance to the Tequesta:

* Cardinal points (i.e. North, South, East, and West) along the Miami Circle appear to have been specially denoted.  In particular, an eye-shaped hole was cut into the bedrock at the Circle's eastern point.  Its shape was unique among hundreds of holes uncovered at the site.

* Two possible animal offerings, a complete sea turtle carapace and the articulated remains of a shark more than six feet in length, were found within the Circle's interior.  Each was oriented east-west, a practice often associated with prehistoric human burials.

* Several teeth belonging to an extinct species of seal were found within the Miami Circle.  Spanish explorer's accounts indicate that the consumption of monk seals, or "sea wolves," were reserved for the elite class.

* Two finely-crafted stone axes were found found along the Miami Circle's eastern portion.  One of these was recovered from within a posthole cut into the bedrock, and possibly represents an offering.  Both axes were made of basalt, a volcanic rock that is not native to Florida.

The minority scientists say that the structure's puzzling ring-shaped array of 30 rectangular "basins" are more analogous to England's "Stonehenge" -- once serving as the "foundation slots" for a ring of 30 upright stones, which once stood in the currently surviving geometric bedrock basins -"an archeo-astronomical "stonehenge-like device," for observing the solstices and equinoxes, as well as other astronomically-based ceremonial uses ..."

At present, two radiocarbon date determinations have been completed.  Charcoal samples collected from within one of the Miami Circle's cut basins and from the midden within the Miami Circle both dated to circa 100 A.D.  Human occupation of the site may date to well over two thousands years ago.

The Miami Circle archaeological site is regarded as being of local, regional, and statewide significance.  The Miami Circle may also be of national significance, as it is believed to be the only cut-in-rock prehistoric structural footprint ever found in eastern North America.  The site potentially qualifies for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. If we fail to preserve the Circle, a priceless , untouched example of  a previously unsuspected  sophistication in "archaic North American architecture," as well as important new clues as to the reasons for astronomically-based indigenous ceremonial centers will be lost.  The Miami Circle, though architecturally unique (carved basins in the limestone bedrock), has at least one other potentially significant analog in North America: the ancient circle of wooden post holes -- called "Woodhenge 2" -- placed on the summit of a massive earthen  "Indian Mound" known as "Cahokia," located across the river from St.Louis, Missouri.

The Mayor of Miami-Dade County, the Honorable Alex Penelas, signed an "eminent domain decree" in February 2009, setting in motion a legal process for County acquisition and preservation of the Miami River Circle site. An "eminent domain" trial is set to begin October 4th to decide the actual purchase price of the land.  If the County cannot raise the necessary funds in time (the exact amount to be determined by the jury), the land will  then revert back to the developer: Michael Baumann..  The County needs massive financial help, as the current "save the circle" fund is far short of even what the developer originally paid for the land.

The developer, Michael Bauman, originally paid slightly over 8 million dollars for the 2.2 acre site at the mouth of the Miami River.  He is now claiming additional costs in architectural development, lost revenues due to the eminent domain proceeding, etc., totaling in excess of 50 million dollars.  Ultimately, based on evidence presented by the County and the developer at trial, a jury of twelve men and woman selected from the normal jury pool in the Miami area will decide what the Circle site is worth in today's market -- and  award Mr.Baumann according compensation.

Amazing Ufo Object Reported By Many Towns On Long Island N.y.

AMAZING UFO OBJECT REPORTED BY MANY TOWN ON LONG ISLAND  N.Y.
NOVEMBER 18 AND 19, 2014   …………   LONG ISLAND NEW YORK

On November 18th and 19th I received reports from people living in Deer Park and West Babylon. The two towns are only a few miles apart and are located about 5 miles from the south shore coast of Long Island.  The people who called from both towns told me the exact same thing. They all witnessed a bright light in the night sky that would stand still in the sky above the normal air traffic lanes shinning mostly a very bright white until suddenly it would start to move quickly to the left and right or shoot up in the sky or straight down much lower to the land while it changed colors to a neon pink, red or yellow and back to white.   It would become standard again for a few minutes and suddenly once again move into action making long huge letter S shapes leaving a comet like tail behind it as it moved at incredible speeds. The object was seen and watched from dark and throughout the night on both nights. I asked if anyone reported it to the police or any type of agency. The response was sad to hear as I was told they did not know of any responsible source to report it to, did not want the ridicule of the police or media and instead looked up a fellow New Yorker on the inter net and called or emailed me. They were trying to take photos or video with their cell phones but to date I have not had anything sent to me. The people were watching this display by this object using binoculars, telescopes and rifle scopes. Using these items they say the maneuvers and speed of this object were amazing and unlike anything they had seen before.  I had a call from another older gentleman last week who reported another UFO sighting also in that area of Long Island in the town of Lindenhurst which is also located on the south shore about three miles from the coast.  This man was standing at the end of his driveway putting out the trash for pick up the next day when something in the sky caught his eye. There at about the level of normal air traffic coming from the east at incredible speed came a perfectly round orb that was a neon blue color he had never seen before.  He told me the closest thing he could relate the color to would be the new bright L E D lights used at Christmas that shine especially bright and in colors not usually seen.  The object flew from the far east end of Long Island across his town and headed towards New York City at an incredible speed.

The man worked for years at a Long Island airport and told me he was certain without question it was not like anything or any color he had ever seen before and traveled at a speed that would not be possible for today’s aircraft’s. The man also reported it was silent and perfectly round without any break in its form or color.  The last Unidentified Flying Object report occurred also on Long Island in the town of Huntington and came from my own husband. He was working outside in front of our garage last week. It had just become dark and he was standing in the middle of our very long driveway that has a clear view of the night sky. He was standing there thinking about how he was going to go about the project he was working on and glanced up to look at the stars. He realized that among the stars and normal night sights stood two very bright very round lights that looked like headlights only spread out a bit too far. As he looked at them he realized they were moving in formation but would stop and simply hover before once again in perfect alignment start moving again. They would move right and left until they seemed to pick a direction they liked and move along across the sky in that manner. My husband noticed immediately that the only light was solid and white. There were no flashing or colored lights of any type on the two objects moving across the sky. He watched for about 60 seconds and looked away to blink as his eyes started to bother him from the bright lights. He only looked away for a second however when he reopened his eyes to focus once again on the two objects they were gone. They were nowhere at all in the sky to be found.  The October / November time of year has always been a very active time on Long Island for sightings of unknown objects being seen in our skies. So far it appears this fall season is following the past with reports being seen once again of crafts, orbs and lights we cannot  explain.   UPDATE:  Objects were also witnessed over Oakdale and East Islip.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

UFO mania: The Unanswered Mystery of the 7,000-Year-Old Pre-Sumerian Lizardmen

It is a commonly accepted view in mainstream archaeology that civilization started in Iraq, in ancient Mesopotamia with the great civilization of Sumeria.

However, there is an archaeological discovery at the Al Ubaid archaeological site, where many pre-Sumerian 7,000-year-old artefacts were found, depicting humanoid figures with lizard characteristics.

The Ubaidian culture is a prehistoric culture in Mesopotamia that dates between 4000 and 5500 BC. As with the Sumerians, the origins of the Ubaidian people is unknown.

They lived in large village settlements in mud-brick houses and they had developed architecture, agriculture and farmed the land using irrigation. The domestic architecture included large T-shaped houses, open courtyards, paved streets, as well as food processing equipment.

Some of these villages began to develop into towns, temples began to appear, as well as monumental buildings such as in Eridu, Ur and Uruk, the major sites of the Sumerian Civilization.

According to the Sumerian texts, Ur was believed to be the first city. The main site where the unusual artefacts were discovered is called Tell Al’Ubaid – although figurines were also found in Ur and Eridu. 

The Al’Ubaid site is a small mound of about half a kilometre in diametre and two meters above ground. The site was first excavated by Harry Reginald Hal in 1919. Male and female figurines were found in different postures and in most of the figurines, they appear to be wearing a helmet and have some kind of padding on the shoulders.

Other figurines were found to hold a staff or sceptre, possibly as a symbol of justice and ruling. Each figurine has a different pose but the strangest of all is that some female figurines hold babies suckling milk, with the child also represented as a lizard-type creature.

The figurines are presented with long heads, almond shaped eyes, long tapered faces and a lizard-type nose. What exactly they represent is completely unknown. According to archaeologists, their postures, such as a female figure breast-feeding, do not suggest that they were ritualistic objects.

So what did these lizard figures represent?  Whatever they were, they appear to have been important to the ancient Ubaidian people.

We know that the Serpent was a major symbol used in many societies to represent a number of gods, for example, the Sumerian god Enki, and the snake was used later on as the symbol for the brotherhood of the Snake, as William Bramley discusses.

A few weeks ago History Channel 2 aired a program called “Bermuda Triangle Reveled: The Devils Graveyard.” This documentary not only caught my attention but sparked my curiosity. It portrayed the 12 vile vortices supposedly scattered throughout the globe in specific locations that are believed to cause strange phenomena such as bizarre animal attacks, strange weather, disappearances, and more. One of the most famous of these locations is the infamous Bermuda Triangle. Other locations include: the North and South Pole, the Devil’s Sea (aka: Dragon’s Triangle), Easter Island, Zimbabwe Megaliths, Hamakulia (near Hawaii), Mohenjo-daro, Algerian Megaliths, South Atlantic Anomaly, New Hebrides Trench (near Fiji Island), and the Wharton Basin.

It is at these locations that reports reveal electromagnetic “aberrations” which many believe are causing these strange anomalies. In the video below I dive into not only the working behind these mysterious vortices but also what a scientist reveals about this unique phenomenon…..

Mass Possession or Mass Hysteria?

CEBU, Philippines – At least 14 students of Toong Integrated School in the mountain barangay of Toong, Cebu City were allegedly possessed by evil spirits yesterday noon.

Most of the affected students were brought to Msgr. Frederick Kriekenbeek, who is known to perform exorcism, at the Mary’s Little Children Community in Tabunok, Talisay City.

Barangay Toong councilman Milven Bacalso said 12 students, mostly high school, were brought to Kriekenbeek upon the advice of the parish priest of the nearby Buhisan Shrine.

“Nagsugod ni mga ala una sa hapon. Naay usa nagsugod ug kasudlan dayon nagtakod-takod na. Una namong gitawag ang pari sa Buhisan Shrine pero ingon siya di niya kaya ang sitwasyon. Siya maoy nag suggest nga adto namo dad-on kang Msgr. Kriekenbeek,” Bacalso told The Freeman.

Members of the Cebu City Quick Response Team were immediately dispatched and helped transport the students to Talisay City for spiritual intervention.

They arrived at the spiritual center past 3 p.m. and prayers were immediately done to calm the students.

Msgr. Joseph Tan, spokesperson of the Archdiocese of Cebu, emphasized the importance of prayer as the armor against evil.

“For those directly concerned in supernatural phenomenon that suggests diabolical possessions, it is important to bring them to priests for blessing and prayer. Taking them to Msgr. Fred is a very positive move as he is experienced in healing and deli-verance prayer,” Tan told The Freeman.

He then referred to an old practice which is considered shield from negative energies.

“As a traditional practice, holy water is used in defense from the devil. This is to bless themselves and protect from sorts of evil. This is not implying something magical but more of calling upon God’s protection,” Tan continued.

He reminded the parents to guide their children especially with the things they read and watch.

“It is very important for parents to exercise caution, for them to monitor their children on the things that they read and watch. It could start from simply reading about their in books or watching videos online but could reach to the point of them practi-cing rituals or something like that. It is not uncommon for the young to be curious on these things. But these are not intended for them as this can trigger and become portal for evil to enter. We don’t encourage that children watch or read these without adult supervision,” he added.

Apart from spiritual steps, the archdiocesan spokesperson suggested seeking medical explanation, stressing the need to exhaust possible assessment on the situation.

“A medical doctor has to also check on these children to see if there is a need for their intervention,” said Tan.

But Councilor Dave Tumulak, chairperson of the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, said the supposed demonic possession could just be a mass hysteria.

“In my personal assessment after going to the site, this is mass hysteria. One student claimed to have seen a little child, panicked and fainted. Those who helped said they saw the same and likewise fainted. Nagkatag-katag na until it became mass hysteria,” Tumulak told The Freeman.

Upon reaching Barangay Toong, Tumulak saw that even teachers and parents were panicking so he conducted a debriefing and discussed mass hysteria and how to deal with the situation.

“I lectured them on the importance of presence of mind and making sure the children and even adults in panic do not sustain injury. The parish priest of Buhisan also led the community in a prayer. They did the rosary,” Tumulak said.

The medical team along with the councilor had checked on the students and found that their vital signs were normal. Immediately after the hysteria, their pulse rates were high which was understandable, Tumulak added.

A Mass will be held today inside the school campus. The debriefing will also continue.

According to Tumulak, he will make use of the opportunity – when parents and guardians of the students will be around today because of the scheduled distribution of cards – to conduct lecture on mass hysteria. – PhilStar

‘Black Seadevil’…first image

A rare and elusive species of deep-sea fish has been captured on camera off the coast of California.

With its pitch black skin, a mouth full of sharp teeth and a face that wouldn’t look amiss in a horror movie, the appropriately named black seadevil is rarely seen despite its distinctive appearance.

Typically found in temperate waters, the fish lures in its prey using a unique luminescent ‘fishing pole’ that dangles above its head.

Now a research time diving in Monterey Bay has managed to capture this bizarre species on film for the first time.

“We’ve been diving out here in the Monterey Canyon regularly for 25 years, and we’ve seen three,” said MBARI Senior Scientist Bruce Robinson. The team even managed to catch the creature for further study however it isn’t clear how long it will survive.

‘Pregnant Man’ Stalking Wife

Thomas Beatie, the transgender man who gave birth after beginning to change from a woman to a man, is accused of stalking his estranged wife.

Beatie, 40, who lives in Anthem, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of stalking. He was released on his own recognizance Thursday night.

Beatie is accused of putting a GPS tracking device on his wife’s car in October of 2012, about six months after he served his wife with an order of protection that required her to leave the couple’s home.

The device was found by an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer when he stopped to help the victim change a flat tire, according to an officer’s probable cause statement.

Phoenix police said the victim, who was identified in the statement as Beatie’s spouse, Nancy Beatie, said she believed it was Thomas Beatie who put the GPS device on her car. She claimed Beatie would randomly show up wherever she was at the time, would mention places she had been and questioned her about times that she returned home.

Investigators said Thomas Beatie admitted to installing the device, monitoring it online and recharging the battery whenever it was low on power.

Thomas Beatie was denied a divorce in March 2013 by Maricopa County Family Court Judge Douglas Gerlach because at the time Arizona’s ban on same-sex marriages prevented the union from being recognized as valid.

Thomas Beatie was born a woman and underwent a double-mastectomy but retained female reproductive organs and gave birth to three children.

Gerlach said he had no jurisdiction to approve a divorce because there was insufficient evidence that Thomas Beatie was male when he married Nancy Beatie in 2003 in Hawaii.

He made headlines across the world as the “pregnant man” and appeared on magazine covers and was on several talk shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show. – WTVR

More mysterious fires in Nigeria…170+ houses destroyed

The mysterious fire, that has burnt over 164 houses in Soro in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, seems not in a hurry to stop as it has shifted to Darazo, the headquarters of Darazo LGA.

The acting district head of Soro, Alhaji Muhammad Kilishi, had last week informed that a mysterious fire outbreak had hit the town, razing more than 100 houses with property worth millions of Naira destroyed.

According to him, no one knew the cause of the fire outbreak, which started in October, saying that people only discovered that fire would come from nowhere and gut houses. No life was lost to the fire outbreak.

He ascribed the mysterious fire outbreak, which he said was abnormal, to a spiritual attack on the town.

The Nigerian Tribune gathered on Tuesday night, in Bauchi, that the mysterious fire broke out on Monday in Darazo, a distance of about 35 kilometres to Soro.

Sources informed that between Monday and Tuesday, nine houses were gutted in Darazo, adding that no one knew the causes of the fire incident.

As of the time of filing this report, no life was lost to the fire, though property worth millions of Naira were said to have been destroyed in the incident.

Confirming the fire outbreak in a statement made available to journalists in Bauchi, the Bauchi State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, stated that nine houses were burnt down in Darazo between Monday and Tuesday.

According to the police spokesman, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), “Between yesterday 17/11/2014 and today 18/11/2014, over 9 houses were burnt down by mysterious fire in Darazo town of Darazo LGA of Bauchi and cause of fire is still unknown.

“However, no life was lost and the value of property destroyed, is yet to be ascertained.You may also recall that over 164 houses were razed down mysteriously in Soro town within one month.”

The PPRO, however, stated that investigation into the matter was in progress. – Tribune

Who built this Siberian summer palace… and why?

An unidentified flying object (UFO) tailed a passenger plane belonging to GOL Airlines during its regular service between Navegantes (Santa Catarina) to Guarulhos (Sao Paulo). The phenomenon was seen by a passenger, businessman Julio Belli, of Sao Jose dos Campos (SP) as he observed the skyscape. Equipped with his camera, he managed to take shots of the object, which emitted a bright light, even on a completely clear day. The event occurred early in the afternoon, around 13:00 hours on Tuesday, 18 November 2014.

The event started when he looked through the window and saw a light flying far too low, at sea level. Shortly after, the same object appeared to be slightly higher than the Boeing B737-700 and was on the horizon for a few minutes. The time elapsed between the sighting and the photographs was between two or three minutes at most.

“We took off at 12:40 hours and it was around 13:12 that I saw the object. I took the camera and managed to take a few photos. Since the plane was empty, I went to the other side and I also had the same bright object following us, so I took more photos. I was worried that it might be a reflection on the window or the camera lens, so I repeated the same shot several times and nothing resembling that luminous form appeared,” Belli said.

Aside from being very bright, they had a darker color on either end, orange in color. The object also changed colors several times during the time it was visible to the airliner’s passengers. The businessman approached the fight crew and told them what was going on.

“One of them said that they’d seen objects of this same kind in the Amazon Rainforest and over Manaus, where it occurs more frequently,” added Belli.

The aircraft’s altitude at the time was between 8,000 to 10,000 meters. Despite the phenomenon’s startling nature, Belli does not dismiss the possibility that it could have been a weather balloon. The only problem is the fact that there were *two* objects, one on either side of the airliner, following the craft and vanishing and reappearing on the horizon in very brief periods of time. Both objects vanished without a trace.

Alien gezicht uit Costa Rica

Eén van onze lezers kreeg na een verblijf van drie maanden in Costa Rica een bijzonder cadeau van een plaatselijke bewoner.

Een deel van een beeldje, gevonden op een duizenden jaren oude begraafplaats van indianen, in de vorm van een buitenaards uitziend gezicht.

Hier volgt het verhaal zoals wij dat ontvingen (dank!):

Ik heb geen UFO te melden maar wel iets bijzonders. 

Wellicht weet u dat er in de pre Colombiaanse tijd in Costa Rica verschillende indianen stammen leefden.  Zij worden ook wel gezien als de “makers”; van de nog steeds mysterieuze 2000 jaar oude bollen.

Nu is het zo dat ik net terug ben na drie maanden verblijf in Costa Rica.  Ik heb daar bij vrienden gelogeerd en veel van de plaatselijke cultuur en history meegekregen. 

Een van deze jongens heeft een oom die een stuk grond heeft in een van de vele oerwouden. Toen ik daar op bezoek was kwam ik erachter dat hij werkelijk midden op een indiaanse begraafplaats woont, 2000 tot 2500 jaar oud.

Er werden mij diverse voorwerpen getoond die hij daar opgegraven had tijdens werkzaamheden.  Van 1 bepaald voorwerp was ik nogal overdonderd. Een hoofdje dat ooit onderdeel is geweest van een groter beeldje.

De meeste hoofdjes die ik zag hadden duidelijk een menselijke afbeelding. Echter een beeldje was totaal afwijkend.  Ik was zo overdonderd en enthousiast dat ik uiteindelijk het hoofdje cadeau heb gekregen. 

De oude indianen schreven over het vorm geven van de bollen door een door aliens verkregen middel. Wat ziet u als u dit kopje ziet? 

Dit is geen mensenhoofd, het is meer dan 2000 jaar oud en het komt van een oude indiaanse stam die beweert contact gehad te hebben met aliens.

Ik heb het hoofdje in mijn bezit en desgewenst is het beschikbaar voor onderzoek.  (Redactie: zijn er mensen die dit kunnen en leuk vinden?)

Het is volgens de mensen daar gemaakt uit klei maar daar ben ik niet van overtuigd. Ik dacht eerst dat het uit steen gehouwen was. Oordeel zelf.

UFO boven Alphen aan den Rijn ( Video )

De indruk bestaat dat steeds meer mensen naar de lucht beginnen te kijken.  

Steeds vaker blijkt dat er meer te zien is dan menigeen denkt.

Zo kregen wij enkele dagen geleden een prachtige opname toegestuurd van een lezer (dank) waarop een UFO te zien is boven Alphen aan den Rijn.

De dame die de opname opstuurde, schrijft onder andere:

Mijn zoon heeft het gisteren gefilmd tijdens zijn werk in Alphen aan den Rijn. Hij heeft dit rond 11 u in de ochtend gefilmd,dus op vrijdag 21-11-2014 om 11 u 's morgens.

Hij vond t ook raar en dacht ook gelijk aan een ufo of een drone. Hij weet dat ik altijd in de lucht staar om ufo's te spotten en gelukkig heeft hij dit filmpje dan ook naar mij gestuurd en mij toestemming gegeven om het aan jullie te laten zien.

Op de video-opname is de bekende witte ronde UFO/orb te zien. Dezelfde soort als die wordt waargenomen bij het in- en uitvliegen van de grote moederschepen. 

Het lijkt er sterk op dat dit soort UFO's verkenningswerkzaamheden uitvoeren.

Bij deze willen we heel Nederland en België oproepen om goed naar de lucht te kijken, waar mogelijk foto- en/of video-opnames te maken van vreemde objecten in de lucht en deze ons toe te sturen.

Hoe meer foto- en videomateriaal des te dichter komen wij misschien bij het ontrafelen van het geheim van de witte/oranje bollen en uiteraard de daarbij behorende moederschepen of dimensieportalen.

Mr. Carey, The Circus Has Begun

Tom Carey, een onderzoeker naar ufo's en buitenaardse wezens, claimt een authentieke foto te hebben van een alien waar autopsie op wordt uitgevoerd in het geheime gebied Area 51. Volgens de Daily Mirror is inmiddels bevestigd dat de film, waarmee de foto gemaakt is, dateert uit 1947. Dit is hetzelfde jaar waarin de beroemde 'Roswellcrash' plaatsvond in New Mexico.

De Roswellcrash, ook het Rosswellincident genoemd, staat bekend als het beroemdste ufo-incident ooit. Op 8 juli 1947 zou een zogenaamde vliegende schotel zijn neergestort en zouden er meerdere buitenaardse lijken geborgen zijn. Ondanks dat eerst bekend werd gemaakt dat het om een buitenaards object zou gaan, werd dit bericht later afgezwakt tot het verhaal dat er een weerballon neergestort zou zijn. Hierna werd het dertig jaar lang stil, tot enkele officieren van het Amerikaanse leger alsnog claimden dat er sprake was van een buitenaards object dat ter aarde was gestort.

Onderzoek
In de loop der jaren zijn er meerdere foto's uitgelekt van vermeende aliens. In het meest recente geval zou het om een authentieke foto gaan waarbij autopsie wordt uitgevoerd op een buitenaards wezen. Tom Carey, de eigenaar van de foto's, heeft de beelden inmiddels laten onderzoeken  door de historicus van filmgigant Kodak. Daar kreeg hij de bevestiging: de film waarmee de beelden zijn geschoten komen inderdaad uit 1947. De samenstelling van de foto zou er op duiden dat het gaat om een originele foto, waar niet mee is gerotzooid via Photoshop.

Volgens Carey is op de foto te zien dat de alien gedeeltelijk is onderzocht. Zo zouden de ingewanden zijn verwijderd en het kadaver gebalsemd zijn.

Airbus applies to patent 'flying saucer' plan

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus is hoping to patent a new plane that looks more like a doughnut or flying saucer than the usual cylinder-shaped passenger plane.

The France-based company filed a patent application at the end of October for a new type of aircraft, structured to limit the strain of cabin pressurization. The design also offers space for more passengers, who will sit in a 360 degree cabin, rather like an amphitheater.

In the U.S. patent application, citing the investors as Patrick Lieven, Romain Delahaye and Catalin Perju, Airbus said that the usual "cylindrical geometry" of aircraft increased pressure at the front and back of planes and limited passenger-carrying capacity.

"The purpose of the invention is particularly to provide a simple, economic and efficient solution to these problems to at least partially overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages," the filing said.

"The invention allows structure to be more resistant to loads induced by cabin pressurization, while allowing to reduce or even avoid the need for a sealed bottom, and while allowing to increase the space available for passengers."

The passenger cabin's circular shape means the plane would have curved rather than straight aisles. Diagrams in the patent application show passengers boardingand departing the plane using escalators that takes them into the center of the aircraft—which resembles the hole in the middle of a doughnut.

It's not the first time Airbus— owned by aerospace giant Airbus Group—has patented radical ideas. In December 2013, Airbus patented a somewhat uncomfortable-looking "bicycle seat" design for economy class passengers. In August 2014, it applied to patent a virtual reality helmet for passengers.

However, aircraft enthusiasts shouldn't get too excited about the latest idea out ofAirbus. The company told the "Financial Times"that the new doughnut design was "not something that's currently under active development."

"Het is best mogelijk dat over tien jaar niemand nog over ufo's spreekt", zegt Dave Wood, voorzitter van de 'Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena' (Assap). "Het gebrek aan bewijzen doet ons vaststellen dat er niets is daarbuiten. Ik denk dat iedere ufo-onderzoeker zal zeggen dat 98 procent van de vaststellingen eenvoudig te verklaren zijn." Dat het aantal meldingen afneemt, is heel verrassend in deze tijd van het internet. Bij Assap is het aantal ufo-zaken sinds 1988 met liefst 96 procent gedaald. Natuurlijk impliceert het gebrek aan ufo's niet noodzakelijk dat er geen buitenaards leven mogelijk is.

Veel van de verhalen die ufo-organisaties vandaag onderzoeken, zijn meldingen van tientallen jaren geleden. Zo is een incident in Roswell in 1947 nog steeds een populair onderwerp. Toen zou een buitenaards ruimteschip in New Mexico gecrasht zijn. "Op ufo-conferenties praten mensen hoofdzakelijk over oude gevallen. Ze brengen zelden nieuwe verhalen aan." Eerder dit jaar heeft het Britse ministerie van Defensie aangekondigd dat ze bij gebrek aan bewijzen niet langer onderzoek naar ufo's voeren en dat er geen bedreiging is voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

David Clark, ufo-adviseur van het Nationaal Archief, stelt dat het een dood onderwerp is. "Iedereen beschikt tegenwoordig over een camera. Als er echt dingen zouden rondvliegen, zouden we nu toch over duidelijk bewijsmateriaal moeten beschikken." Vroeger moesten mensen brieven sturen en werd het mysterie versterkt door gebrek aan antwoorden, stelt Clark. Tegenwoordig wordt alles door het internet meteen verklaard of weerlegd.

Ook Nick Pope, van 1991 tot 1994 voorzitter van de UFO desk op het Britse ministerie van Defensie, geeft toe dat er veel vals materiaal op websites als YouTube circuleert. Toch wil hij het onderwerp niet zomaar over boord gooien. "Er zijn vandaag zoveel meldingen toe te schrijven aan Chinese lantaarns dat we de interessante gevallen uit het oog dreigen te verliezen", zegt hij. "Of zoals ik vroeger op het ministerie altijd stelde: de gelovigen hoeven maar één keer gelijk te krijgen."

België
Ook in ons land bestaat er een meldpunt voor wie denkt een ufo te hebben gezien. Oprichter Frederick Delaere stelt een andere trend vast dan in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Hoewel zijn meldpunt nog maar sinds 2007 bestaat, kreeg hij toch al 1.058 meldingen binnen. Ieder jaar blijft dat aantal groeien. "We moeten toegeven dat een deel van deze meldingen te weinig bruikbare informatie bevat voor verder onderzoek", zegt hij. "We gaan daarom het meldingsformulier aanpassen, waardoor getuigen genoodzaakt zullen zijn ons van meer bruikbare informatie te voorzien."

Het meldpunt werkt samen met sterrenwachten en meteorologische instanties. Naast de archivering van alle meldingen probeert de organisatie ook logische verklaringen te zoeken. "We zijn geen voorstanders van de buitenaardse hypothese, die jammerlijk genoeg vaak in verband wordt gebracht met dergelijke waarnemingen. Het promoten van zo'n theorieën brengt veel schade aan het kritisch en wetenschappelijk onderzoek van dit fenomeen toe."

Geen ufo's, maar wel spionagevliegtuigen in Area 51 - HLN.be

De Amerikaanse inlichtingendienst CIA heeft enkele documenten openbaar gemaakt die een kleine inkijk gunnen in het reilen en zeilen op Area 51, een van de meest mysterieuze militaire basissen ter wereld. In het gebied werden jarenlang spionagevliegtuigen ontwikkeld en getest door de CIA.

Area 51 ligt in de Nevadawoestijn boven Las Vegas en zou een neergestorte ufo of, minstens, een overleden alien herbergen. In 1947 zou in Roswell een ufo zijn gecrasht die volgens de overlevering naar Area 51 werd gebracht. Daarvan is in het 355 pagina's tellende CIA-rapport niets terug te vinden. Er is wel te lezen dat de basis diende als testcentrum voor de spionage- en verkenningsvliegtuigen U-2 en U-12 in de jaren vijftig en zestig.

De U-2 was een licht éénmotorig vliegtuig, dat uitgerust was met spionagecamera's. Ze deden het werk dat 'drones' vandaag doen. De ontwerpers van de U-2 moesten, aldus het rapport, oplossingen zien te verzinnen voor de brandstofcapaciteit en het gewicht van het vliegtuigje: het moest ver genoeg kunnen geraken, maar toch licht genoeg zijn om ultrahoog (meer dan 20 kilometer) te kunnen vliegen, zodat het niet onderschept zou worden.

Daarom werden de staart, vleugels en het landingsgestel van het vliegtuig anders geconstrueerd. Dat maakte van de U-2 niet alleen een toestel dat zeer gevoelig was in besturing en handelbaarheid, maar ook een toestel met heel kleine foutmarges. Dat zorgde in de jaren '50 voor enkele ongevallen.

Vanuit lijnvliegtuigen konden de zilveren vleugels van de veel hoger vliegende U-2 gemakkelijk beschouwd worden als 'vurige objecten', aldus het rapport. Wat dan de vele ufo-meldingen zou kunnen verklaren.

De documenten werden gepubliceerd op vraag van Jeffrey T. Richelson van de National Security Archives, die onderzoek doet naar de Amerikaanse bewaking van het luchtruim. Het is de eerste keer dat de Amerikaanse overheid dergelijke informatie vrijgeeft over de basis.

Couple Spots Large Bright Orbs Over Duxbury, Massachusetts

Mutual UFO Network case number 61414 features a November 15, 2014 report from an unidentified man who saw large bright orbs together with his wife as they moved across the sky in succession. The report says if a jet plane was the size of an ant; the glowing orange spheres looked like the size of a penny. Found at around 1:15 a.m. over a Duxbury, Massachusetts home on November 8, the UFO travelled from west to east across the horizon and disappeared.

The wife first noticed an unusual light in the sky while lying in bed and reading. She then alerted her husband upon thinking that she spotted a UFO. The orb seemed to move in a tremendous speed, about twice the speed of an airplane. It also maintained a consistent flight pattern while moving at lower altitude than a typical aircraft.

The couple failed to see any features of the object, and they only managed to see a dazzling orange orb. The husband claimed to be familiar with Chinese lanterns, and he is certain that the object was not a lantern. He reported that the object maintained an uniform speed and its brightness and color did not change. He further explained that the orb did not produce a trail or halo and moved silently.

As soon as the orb was out of sight or disappeared on the eastern horizon, another similar ball appeared in the western side and went the same flight path across the sky. The second orb also vanished at the eastern horizon. Four identical lights observed by the couple travelling to the opposite horizon and disappeared.

The couple admits they don’t have an idea about what the objects’ true identity, but they are confident that the strange orbs were not Chinese lanterns. They reported that the objects did not resemble any known aircraft. These objects moved too slowly to be considered as stars or comets. However, the couple did not manage to take UFO photos as they were amazed watching the mysterious sky activity to think about getting a camera and capturing the event on photos.
