The event occurred at 10:15 p.m. on May 23, 2017.
“Observed three rectangular bars of light that seemed composed of orbs,” the witness stated.“Orange-red in color.”
The witness observed the three rectangles moving.
“The three bars of light moved smoothly in a horizontal fashion.”
All three lights eventually formed a single light.

“The lights on the left and right joined or moved to join the center light and then blinked out. There was nothing there, after the sky being brightly lit by big orange/red forms.”
Idaho MUFON Assistant State Director James Millard investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown. The witness included one illustration with the report, which was filed on May 24, 2017. The report indicated the witness thought the object was over 500 feet in altitude, with no cloud cover.
After the group of orbs joined together as one light, the light simply disappeared.

NASA is not preparing to drop an alien-life bombshell, despite what you may have heard.
Last week, the hacking group Anonymous posted a video on YouTube suggesting that the space agency is about to announce the discovery of life beyond Earth. The video has made a big splash online — so big that NASA science chief Thomas Zurbuchen addressed the rumor today (June 26).
"Contrary to some reports, there's no pending announcement from NASA regarding extraterrestrial life," Zurbuchen said via Twitter, where he posts as @Dr_ThomasZ.
"Are we alone in the universe? While we do not know yet, we have missions moving forward that may help answer that fundamental question," he added in another tweet today.
Anonymous' video focuses not on hacked documents but rather on testimony Zurbuchen gave back in April during a hearing of the House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. (The 12-minute video also touches on some other topics, including the seven Earth-size planets circling the star TRAPPIST-1 and several supposed UFO sightings.)
During the April 26 hearing, which was called "Advances in the Search for Life," Zurbuchen laid out the progress NASA has been making in the hunt for life in the cosmos. He cited, among other things, the thousands of exoplanets spotted by the agency's Kepler space telescope, the recent discovery of hydrogen in the geysers blasting from the south pole of Saturn's moon Enceladus, and the possible detection of water-vapor plumes emanating from the Jovian satellite Europa.
"Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are specifically searching for evidence of alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented discoveries in history," Zurbuchen said during the hearing.
Anonymous: NASA Is About to Announce the Discovery of Intelligent Alien Life
In the recent video, Anonymous takes the second half of this sentence and runs with it.
"NASA: 'Mankind is about to discover extraterrestrial life,'" an Anonymous spokesman wearing the group's famous Guy Fawkes mask intones, with a digitally altered voice, at the beginning of the video.
This interpretation isn't strictly wrong. But "on the verge" is a far cry from "has found evidence," and anyone expecting an Earth-shattering announcement from NASA in the next few weeks or months is bound to be disappointed.

UNITED KINGDOM MOD DECLASSIFIED UFO FILES | BRITISH X-FILES
The British Government is within the method of declassifying and releasing its entire archive of unidentified flying object files. Nick Pope worked on these files, wrote several of the documents in them, and – through his many media interviews – has been the general public face of the release method. the subsequent Q&A with Nick Pope is drawn from previous interviews. It provides an summary of the release of the files and is additionally designed to be a quotable resource for journalists covering the story.
UFO and alien truth seekers are awaiting the release of eighteen MoD reports into unidentified flying object cases, after a series of hold ups in obtaining them made public via the National Archives.
But, there ar claims the reality still is not out there when 3 of them were still not released, and officials seemed to build it terribly tough for anyone to view the fifteen others.
Instead of being placed on-line as several National Archives documents currently are, the papers will be seen by creating a rendezvous with the govt archive service in London.
Or copies may be ordered for a fee on-line with many days wait before they they arrive.
Nick Pope, who worked within the department of the MoD that investigated UFOs till 2009 and currently speaks at alien-related conferences across the world, aforementioned there would be claims they'd been "snuck out"
But, he said he didn't believe there was a evidence of proof for alien life within the files as had been hoped. Those hoping the files might solve the mystery of the December 1980 Rendlesham unidentified flying object case can also be disappointed, he said.
UFO near miss with Boeing 737, Churchill and Eisenhower cover up
UFO encounter, Calvine UFO Photo Cover – Up, Berwyn Mountain UFO incident are some from the declassified UFO Files.
Whatever the case, over breadcrumbs ar expected to come back out from the most recent release of UFO files. There won’t in all probability be a right away confirmation of intelligent alien life, however a lot of dots can be part of which will provide individuals food for thought for the years to come.

FOO FIGHTERS UFOS BUZZED PLANES DURING WORLD WAR II
UFOs Known As Foo Fighters Seen In World War II
A long time before pilot Kenneth Arnold claimed to have seen a strange craft flying through the air in 1947 people had claimed that they had seen strange objects in the sky. There is no one that is in a better position to have seen a UFO than a pilot and when pilots during World War II reported seeing mysterious lights there was a new phenomenon born, the Foo Fighters.
RED LUMINOUS BALL SPOTTED IN SKIES OVER GERMAN BORDER
A pilot was flying at night close to the border of Germany when without any warning a luminous red ball zoomed close, but it was moving far too fast for the pilot to be able to identify what it was, never mind gives chase to it.
There have been many pilots in World War II that have seen zooming orbs high up in the sky and for a long time they thought that what they were seeing was a new weapon by the Nazis. The strange orbs very rarely varied in appearance; most were multi-colored and round, often fiery red. In mission reports, the sighting of them became close to routine.
One mission report stated that the pilot saw a red light that was brilliant in color and which traveled at about 2000 feet heading to the east at around 200 miles per hour close to Erstein. However, to artificial intelligence failure, it could not be picked up contact but managed to follow it until it went out but not getting close enough to it to be able to identify the object.
Investigations had revealed many sightings that were similar which had been made by pilots in Japan and China. This meant that the allies found themselves relieved to have not had a new weapon to have to deal with. The Foo Fighters were said to not be aggressive and they never threatened to attack and it seemed that they were almost like taunting the pilot's thanks to the superior speed along with being able to maneuver fast which allowed them to dart out of sight.
LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS, PILOTS TOLD TO KEEP QUIET
During World War II there were spies everywhere and soldiers had been told to keep quiet about their missions and plans or there would be consequences that would be dire. One poster that was commonly used at that time had the words Loose Lips Sink Ships.
It, therefore, comes as a big surprise that military censors seemed not to have an issue with the newspapers who reported about the Foo Fighters. Many of the stories said that orbs were transparent or silver in color, instead of them being balls of multi-colored light or red. The newspapers often talked about the Foo Fighters being a new weapon of the Nazis instead of being the mysterious UFOs.
FOO FIGHTERS GET NAME FROM SMOKEY STOVER COMIC
The media propagated the name Foo Fighters, with the name having originally come from inspiration from the comic Smokey Stover. In the comic strip, Smokey was a fireman, and he called fire “foo” and called himself a foo fighter. It is thought that Donald Meiers, a fan of Smokey Stover, was first credited for giving the UFOs the name of Foo Fighters. Of course, this was many years before the term UFO, unidentified flying object and flying saucer were used.
It remains a total mystery just what the Foo Fighters actually were. There has always been a pattern that is the same with sightings of UFOs. First, they are reported and recorded and then the skeptics come up with excuses as to what they are. Following this, the sightings are dismissed, with everyone believing that perhaps it was just a weather balloon. Later on, UFO sightings have been said to be explained as just swamp gas or that people have mistaken the planet, Venus, however, skeptics had other excuses when accounting for the Foo Fighters.
FOO FIGHTERS SAID TO BE ICE CRYSTALS, ST. ELMO`S FIRE AND MORE
Among the many invented explanations was something given the name of St. Elmo`s Fire. This is said to be a phenomenon with weather that usually occurs following a thunderstorm.
It did not matter that the majority of sightings of the so-called Foo Fighters took place when there were no thunderstorms. Skeptics also tried to pawn off the Foo Fighters as being nothing more than reflections from ice crystals. This is an explanation that comes with many issues with ice crystals not being able to go zooming off at 200 miles per hour. There were numerous sightings of Foo Fighters in the South Pacific, and this is a place where the chances of ice crystals forming were remote.
The Foo Fighters would also be seen on the radar on occasion and this is when they would be flying at speeds that were said to be almost impossible. Weather phenomena and ice crystals are two things that do not form on radar screens.
'NATION AT RISK'‘Britain’s X-Files’ reveal how a UFO was spotted on RAF radar for HOURS but military were told to do nothing about it
Ministry of Defence UFO files reveal ALL about 1996 UFO sighting that was written off as a 'celestial phenomena'
EXCLUSIVE
By Margi Murphy
“BRITAIN’S X-Files” reveal how a UFO was spotted on military radar for seven hours – but the RAF were “overruled at the highest level” and told to do nothing about it.
An investigation into the phenomenon was only opened after several witnesses spotted a rotating UFO in the sky over the Skegness coast.
It is not clear who sent the letter to the then Defence Secretary as the Ministry of Defence have redacted their name
By then, several radars had detected the object in the early hours of 5 October 1996, over the Wash.
Police statements describing the bright lights, along with several civilian reports, were splashed across newspapers and became the subject of several TV shows at the time.
Secret UFO files reveal how the former Defence Secretary Michael Portillo appears to have been slammed by an unnamed government official over the military’s “absolute shambles” of a reaction, which they suggest could have put the nation at risk.
The Wash area where the UFO was spotted on 5 October 1996
In a letter typed on House of Commons headed paper, the then Tory minister was grilled by a government official for the lax reaction during what became one of Britain’s most mysterious UFO sightings.
It reads: “I am very concerned about an incident that occurred off the Anglian Coast recently, involving a visual unidentified flying craft sighting which was correlated by various different military radar systems.”
They add that it struck them as “incredible” that “no aircraft were scrambled when an uncorrelated target was picked up so close to the coast” and that “this raises serious issues about the way in which we police the UK’s Air Defence Region”.
They ask why RAF Coningsby, just a few miles from the Wash and who wanted to scramble aircraft were “overruled at the highest level” and why a video taken by police had “disappeared into the bowels of your ministry’s main building” – a detail certain sure to be of interest to conspiracy theorists and UFO hunters.
The letter continues: “The RAF is supposed to, or so I believed, to be keeping a watchful eye on activity in the UK, but seem to have no idea what is going on.
“Do they have standard procedure for these incidents? They had enough time to think about it, because the object was on our radar for upwards of seven hours!”

Former Defence Secretary Michael Portillo was sent a stern letter regarding the UFO sighting
“While I am interested in finding out what was seen, my primary concern stems from the absolute shambles that such events seem to cause,” they wrote.
The author, whose name has been wiped from the official files, attaches various newspaper reports including one titled: “UFOS expose 9-5 defence danger”.
The dossier includes eyewitness statements from several police officers who claim to have seen flashing red, blue and white lights and also reveals how civil servants were briefed about what caused the mysterious sightings.
It also tells how civil servants were briefed about what caused the mysterious sightings.
Documents following an official probe conclude that several “phenomena” might be to blame.
A drawing following the Wash UFO sighting was stored by the Ministry of Defence
It suggests the lights were observed from “three different locations” high above the horizon and in the same general direction, indicating a “celestial source”.
Radar signals could be explained by a nearby church spire, which was known for distorting communication systems, according to the memo.
Closing the case, the official file states: “The prolonged sighting of stationary coloured flashing lights reported by the Skegness police on 5 October 1996 had no significance for the integrity of UK airspace and no associated air vehicle was detected by civil or military radars.”
This newspaper report appeared to have ruffled feathers among the UK defence bods
One of the newspaper clippings attached to the Wash sighting letter
The documents are just some of many included in the fascinating UFO dossier quietly released last week.
They have not been digitised, so enthusiasts must join a queue to inspect the paper records at the National Archive’s reading room in Kew, West London.
There are an additional three files which are yet to be released, according to Nick Pope, a former civil servant who worked for the MoD.
Pope, who ran the government’s UFO project from 1991 to 1994 said: “The lack of a smoking gun and the fact that these files seem to have been slipped out without a formal media announcement is bound to start some conspiracy theories and I know that many people believe the ‘good stuff’ is being held back.”

WHAT ARE 'BRITAIN'S X-FILES'?
The cache of 15 files, which have been published by the National Archives, contain details of sightings of UFOs over almost five decades.
They contain information about a number of high profile incidents that are believed to be related to extra-terrestrials, including in Rendlesham Forest in 1980, dubbed 'Britain's Roswell.'
The papers were originally meant to be released in 2013 alongside thousands of others which did see the light of day, but 18 specific documents were withheld. No one knows exactly why.
Fifteen have now been published with the remaining three still withheld.
The release marks the final stages of what's been a nine-year long project to declassify and release the MoD's entire archive of UFO files.
Mysteriously, the files have not yet been digitised so enthusiasts must go to the National Archives in Kew, West London if they want to have access to them.
The UFO files have revealed that on the morning of 5 October 1996 bright lights were reported by several civilians but the Defence Secretary at the time, Michael Portillo, did nothing, according to a report from The Sun.
An unnamed government official wrote to the Ministry of Defence voicing concerns.
'The RAF is supposed to, or so I believed, to be keeping a watchful eye on activity in the UK, but seem to have no idea what is going on', the minister wrote.
'Do they have standard procedure for these incidents? They had enough time to think about it, because the object was on our radar for upwards of seven hours!' he said.
'While I am interested in finding out what was seen, my primary concern stems from the absolute shambles that such events seem to cause'.
Reports of the strange lights made front pages and were serialised in various TV shows at the time.
'I remember this well. It was a bizarre case', Nick Pope who was part of the Ministry of Defence's UFO project from 1991 to 1994 told MailOnline.
'The official verdict was that the anomalous radar return might have been caused by a nearby church spire (an effect that can happen in certain meteorological conditions) but, in parallel, there were visual sightings from witnesses including police officers, and these were more difficult to explain.
'Furthermore, the events took place in the middle of a 'UFO flap' where there had been numerous sightings from locals.'
The late Martin Redmond - an MP who had taken a close, personal interest in the UFO phenomenon - raised the question with the MoD Mr Pope explained.
'He was concerned that whatever the cause of the radar return, it seemed the RAF had done nothing, perhaps because of the MoD's notorious defensiveness when it came to the anything to do with UFOs.
'He felt that, at the very least, further enquiries should have been made and maybe a jet scrambled - which would have cleared up the mystery in minutes.
'The bottom line was that Martin Redmond felt these events highlighted a fundamental weakness in the UK's air defence system', he said.
The letter also suggests a police video of the lights mysteriously disappeared.
The cache of 15 files, which have been published by the National Archives, contain details of sightings of UFOs seen all over the country stock image)
'It sounds like an important UFO incident, as it has the relatively rare element of simultaneous visual and radar sightings', Nigel Watson author of the UFO Investigations Manual told MailOnline.
'In the cold light of day the nation was not at risk, but it does show that when people are looking out for UFOs, an innocent star or planet will fill their imaginations', he said.
This document is just one of many that was released last week as part of a series of files that were released by the government having been kept secret for almost 50 years.

The files are believed to date from 1971-76, 1996-2000 and 2004.
The release marks the final stages of what's been a nine-year long project to declassify and release the MoD's entire archive of UFO files.
Three of these documents have still not been released.
This prompted claims of a conspiracy to cover-up the existence of alien life among some theorists and another delay in publication last year added to this speculation.
Conspiracy theorists are hoping the files may shed light on the notorious Rendlesham Forest incident in 1980, dubbed Britain's Roswell
'I think these files perfectly capture the wonder and fascination of the UFO mystery and show how MoD officials - myself included - struggled to make sense of one of the great mysteries of the modern era', said Nick Pope, who was part of the Ministry of Defence's UFO project from 1991 to 1994.
'Sadly, there's no 'smoking gun' in these files that will prove we've been visited by extraterrestrials, but there are plenty of intriguing UFO reports, as well as policy papers explaining how the MoD handled this subject.'
'The lack of a smoking gun and the fact that these files seem to have been slipped out without a formal media announcement is bound to start some conspiracy theories, and I know that many people believe the 'good stuff' is being held back', he said.
Conspiracy theorists are hoping the files may shed light on the notorious Rendlesham Forest incident in 1980, dubbed Britain's Roswell.
Strange lights were reported by servicemen in the forest near RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge.
RENDLESHAM FOREST INCIDENT
Strange lights were reported by servicemen in the forest near RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge.
The incident came to be known as 'Britain's Roswell' after the UFO sightings in New Mexico.
Soldiers investigated what the lights were, including Staff Sgt Jim Burroughs, Airman First Class Edward Cabansag and Airman First Class Larry Warren.
The disputed sightings, over three nights between December 26-28, occurred when Britain and the West were on high alert during the Cold War.
Retired US Air Force officer Steve Longero broke a 36 year silence, in December 2016, to reveal he also saw something in the night sky.
Mr Longero said the UFOs looked like red and green fluorescent lights hovering over treetops.
He also dismissed one theory that the lights had been caused by a lighthouse.
The incident became a topic of fascination in the UK after a group of servicemen went into Rendlesham Forest to investigate the mysterious lights and came out convinced they had seen seen an alien spacecraft.
The Suffolk sightings resurfaced claims from those living in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 when an unexpected crash was alleged to have been the remains of a spacecraft and alien bodies.
But this was rejected by the U.S. military following a close investigation into the wreckage.
The British Ministry of Defence has also dismissed the claims regarding Rendlesham.
It said there was no threat to national security and the UFOs were likely to be caused by a series of nocturnal lights.
The disputed sightings, over three nights between December 26-28, occurred when Britain and the West were on high alert during the Cold War.
'What's readily apparent from a detailed study of all this is that the MoD was telling Parliament, the media and the public that the UFO phenomenon was of 'no defence significance' and of limited interest to the MoD', said Mr Pope.
'However, the files show that behind the scenes, the subject was obviously taken more seriously than we let on, with many of the cases self-evidently being of great defence significance – e.g. when UFOs were seen in close proximity to military bases, were encountered by RAF pilots, or were tracked on radar by fighter controllers or air traffic controllers.'
The remaining three files are due to be released later this year.
'This is a good day for open government and for freedom of information', Mr Pope said.
The last batch of files that was released contained some papers relating to anti-gravity and gravity modification research expressed by MoD scientists.
'I wasn't joking when I referred to MoD's UFO project as being 'the real-life X-Files'', said Mr Pope.

Britain's X-files – the declassified government documents covering UFO encounters – reveal the shocking incident just off Skegness.
Ministry of Defence documents detail how a UFO was spotted hovering over the Wash near the Lincolnshire town – but the RAF were told to do nothing about it.
The dossier reveals how an unnamed government official warned the nation could have been put at risk as he slammed the "shambles" of an operation dealing with the craft.
“This raises serious issues about the way in which we police the UK’s Air Defence Region”
Government official
Several radars detected the object off the east coast of Britain in the early hours of October 5, 1996.
Police statements described "bright lights" seen over The Wash National Reserve.
Redacted letters typed on House of Commons headed paper reveal Defence Secretary Michael Portillo was grilled over the handling of the incident, reports The Sun

ALIENS: UFO encounters are touched upon by the secret documents
The unidentified official questioned why "no aircraft were scrambled when an uncorrelated target was picked up so close to the coast” and that “this raises serious issues about the way in which we police the UK’s Air Defence Region”.
Aircraft at RAF Coningsby wanted to scramble but were "overruled at the highest level", according to the letter.
It also questions why video taken of the UFO "disappeared into the bowels of your ministry’s main building".
The official file on the report claims the UFO was actually a nearby church spire – known for distorting communications.
It also claims the lights spotted by onlookers were of a "celestial" source.
Spooks concluded: "The prolonged sighting of stationary coloured flashing lights reported by the Skegness police on 5 October 1996 had no significance for the integrity of UK airspace and no associated air vehicle was detected by civil or military radars.”
The Skegness incident is just one of many covered in the declassified documents which were finally released last week.
UFO hunters and alien conspiracy theorists accused the Government of trying to cover up the files after a delayed realease.
The cache of 15 files is available for view at The National Archives – but three documents remain sealed, sparking rumours of the alien "smoking gun”.
Ex-US Air Force Captain Says A UFO Destroyed Ten Nukes
Conspiracy theorists believe high-profile witnesses were pledging to remain quiet about extraterrestrial-related events. However, a former U.S. Air Force captain has broken that promise. Captain David D Schindele was the Minot Air Force Base missile field’s Minuteman I intercontinental ballistic missile launch crew commander in North Dakota.
Schindele was at a launch control facility, close to Mohall, North Dakota in December 1966 when a bizarre event took place.
Schindele claimed that a UFO destroyed ten nuclear-tipped missiles in which he was in charge.
UFOs had been reported in the local area, according to the Minot Daily News front page story on December 6, 1966.
Schindele claimed air force officials ordered him to keep quiet about it. However, he has now claimed that he tells the real story of the event in the new book titled “It Never Happened, Volume 1.” Schindele revealed that many of them witnessed unworldly events at Minuteman facilities, but they were all instructed to shut their mouth up about them. He said that they never realised at the time that many others among them were also witnessing incidents.
He explained that he heard some years ago of a similar incident experienced by a missiler named Captain Robert Salas who was connected to Malmstrom AFB in Montana with the same general timeframe as his own incident. Schindele then decided to conduct research on Air Force cover-up to find out the reason why the Air Force told them to keep silent.
Schindele said that he spent six and a half years for the first volume and also realised that a second volume would be necessary to make it complete.
UFO sighting videos usually involve shaky, grainy captures from sensationalist claims and low-resolution cameras. It is the reason many reported alien encounters with such videos as evidence have been debunked or criticised by sceptics.
Interestingly, those negative factors are not present in the seemingly legitimate UFO sighting that was reported on Sunday in New York. The video was shot using a high-resolution device, and the witness has not made any claims about the possible identity of the mysterious craft.
The footage, which was uploaded to YouTube, shows strange lights over the trees in a New York suburb. It was captured at around 4:30 am from a driveway, according to the video description. The uploader of the video has not made any claims that the strange object was of extraterrestrial origin.
The uploader only says that the object appears distinctly like a UFO. After the video was made available online via the video sharing site, it has also been shared on Reddit. It has captured the interest among alien enthusiasts online.
The details of the object in the video could be easily seen. The object looks huge and larger than any consumer drone in the market.
Some online commenters suggest that the possible explanation could be the scheduled NASA lunch in the area. However, NASA’s official web page says that the mission involving a rocket carrying tracer chemicals to be sprayed in the upper atmosphere would be launched on Sunday night while the video was reportedly shot on Sunday morning.
The world of science creates mysteries as fast as it solves them — and sometimes even faster. Here are just a few of those mysteries that are waiting to be solved.
1. The impossible EM drive…works?
Since first hearing rumors about NASA’s physics-breaking propulsion system late last year, a paper describing their device has passed peer-review, and China claims to be testing their own version in space right now.
And yet, no one can explain how this fuel-less drive is able to violate Newton’s Third Law: everything must have an equal and opposite reaction. If we learn anything this year or next, let’s hope we can get to the bottom of this confounding machine.
2. Humpback whales have been forming mysterious “super-groups,”
and we still don’t know why. Back in March, never-before-seen groups of up to 200 whales were appearing off the coast of South Africa, which is weird, because seven is usually the upper limit for these solitary animals.
The behavior could be due to changes in prey availability, or because the species has been making a surprising comeback in recent years, but the jury’s still out on this one.
Findlay et. al. 2017
3. Astronomers have found evidence of ahuge ninth planeton the edge of our Solar System
— but we still can’t find it, even after NASA recruited thousands of people to search for clues.
But earlier this year, we finally got an official candidate for the mysterious presence, so hopefully we don’t have to wait too much longer to discover what’s truly out there.
4. Archaeologists made a stunning discovery inside Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza
— evidence of a strange void behind the pyramid’s north face, and an unknown cavity high up in its northeastern edge.
It’s suspected that these could represent secret chambers that have eluded researchers and looters alike for thousands of years, and archaeologists are now hoping to non-invasively scan the insides of the giant tomb to figure it out.
5. Can we please figure out the nonsense that is the Tully Monster?
The 300-million-year-old creature had fins like a cuttlefish, eyestalks like a crab, and a rather intimidating “jaw-on-stick,” and this jumble of body parts has seen it compared to everything from molluscs, arthropods, and worms, to more complex vertebrates like lampreys.
Here’s what it might have looked like:
6. We still don’t know what’s causingfast radio bursts — arguably the weirdest phenomena in the known Universe.
They’re some of the most explosive signals ever detected in space, but they’re so confounding, some scientists have even resorted to “Aliens?”
But with the exact location for one of these signals being finally pinned down last month, we might be on the brink of figuring out what’s causing them.
have found signs of a phenomenon that goes beyond the standard model of physics, and together they’ve hit a certainty level of 4 standard deviations, indicating a 99.95 percent chance this isn’t a mistake.
If this result can be supported by further experiments, it would have profound implications for our understanding of particle physics, and force scientists to draw up a whole new branch of physics to explain it.
8. The “Alien Megastructure” star
that just won’t quit. Located 1,500 light-years away, KIC 8462852 (or Tabby’s star), has been experiencing unprecedented dips in brightness — while most stars experience periodic dimming of about 1 percent, this star has clocked dips of a whopping 22 percent.
Tabby’s star is so weird, one astronomer famously suggested aliens could be involved. With the latest bout of strange light patterns giving researchers more data to work with, let’s hope they can finally figure this one out.
Air Force
9. The US Air Force’s mysterious X-37B space plane
just landed after a record-breaking 718 days in orbit, but we still have no idea what it was doing up there.
As officials remain tight-lipped about what the unmanned drone was doing up there for so long, rumors have been circulating that the military might be testing NASA’s EM Drive in space. Can we solve two mysteries in one?
You’d think its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has seen everything there is to see on the Martian surface during its 11-year orbit, but a snapshot taken over the planet’s South Pole has revealed something we can’t explain.
At 19.7 inches (50 centimeters) per pixel, we’re looking at a feature hundreds of meters across, so did something punch its way through, or is it the result of a massive collapse? Until we get further evidence, your guess is as good as mine.

Archaeologists have discovered a "billboard" of hieroglyphs carved into the rocks near the Egyptian village of El-Khawy. The symbols, which show a message related to the cosmos, are the earliest monumental (large) hieroglyphs known, dating back around 5,200 years.
Only a few similar scenes are known from Egypt. For example, a vase previously found at the site of Abydos depicts a pregnant hippopotamus, Darnell told Live Science. [Read more about the cosmic message.]
Lizard parts?
Dried monitor lizard penises are being illegally traded as "Hatha Jodi," an Indian plant root used in religious ceremonies and thought to be a good-luck charm.

Poachers have been caught trying to illegally sell dried lizard penises online to unwitting customers looking to purchase a rare Indian root called "Hatha Jodi." The root looks like two praying hands and is thought to bring good luck.
Investigation into the illegal trade determined that along with dried specimens from monitor lizards, plastic molds of the animal's genitalia were also being peddled as Hatha Jodi. [Read more about good-luck root.]
Passing down the genes
People who have insomnia may have been told that their sleeping troubles are "all in their head," but a new study shows that this condition is driven not only by psychological factors, but biological ones as well.
The researchers found that seven genes were more common in people who had insomnia, meaning that these seven genes could indicate that a person has an increased risk for the sleep disorder. [Read more about insomnia and your genes.]
How to look for life

Humanity should focus its efforts on exploring other worlds that we might inhabit, and to get there, Earthlings may need to ride on a beam of light, famed physicist Stephen Hawking says.
To bring these seeming pipe dreams closer to reality, Hawking, along with physicist and billionaire Yuri Milner, has founded a company called Breakthrough Starshot, which aims to make interstellar travel a reality. [Read more about the strange idea.]
A volcano or a pyramid?
El Volcán in the Nepeña Valley of coastal Peru has archaeologists stumped as to when and why this mound was built, though it may have served as a place for a ceremony related to a total solar eclipse.

From far away, El Volcán in the Nepeña Valley of coastal Peru might look like a natural feature in the landscape.
But this volcano is artificial, a mound or pyramid built by human hands with a crater dug out of the top. And some archaeologists are trying to figure out what it was used for. [Read more about the strange pyramid.]

A previously overlooked inky inscription on a pottery shard found in Israel calls for the delivery of more wine, according to a new study, showing that not much has changed in 2,600 years for humanity, at least when it comes to wetting our whistles.
"While its front side has been thoroughly studied, its back was considered blank," study co-principal investigator Arie Shaus, a doctoral student of applied mathematics and archaeology at Tel Aviv University (TAU) in Israel, said in a statement. [Read more about the shopping list.]
Domesticating cats

Modern cat lovers can thank the farmers of ancient Anatolia in the Near East for domesticating their fluffy friends about 10,000 years ago, a new study finds.
However, it wasn't until the Middle Ages, after thousands of years of living alongside humans, that some cats (Felis silvestris) developed fur with patch-like patterns, and not until the 19th century that they were bred to have fancy coats, the researchers found. [Read more about kitty genealogy.]
Hiding multiverse?

By some estimates, the known universe may contain as many as 2 trillion galaxies, with the average galaxy holding approximately 100 million stars and untold numbers of planets. But could there be multiple copies of the entire universe as we understand it?
Multiple universes might also exist within contained bubbles of space-time, a concept explored in the video game "Bioshock Infinite." By this reckoning, inhabitants of two universes could theoretically interact should their "bubbles" connect to each other directly, according to Macdonald. [Read more about the missing worlds.]
Hacker group Anonymous claims Nasa is on the verge of announcing alien life
Hacker collective Anonymous has released a video repeating others' claims that Nasa is on the verge of announcing contact with alien life.
The video, released on an unofficial YouTube channel claiming to be affiliated with Anonymous, repeats the text of three articles from the conspiracy website Ancient-Code.com, according to the Daily Mail.
The video, which runs with advertising, has garnered over half a million views.
Anonymous claims head of Nasa Science Mission Directorate Professor Thomas Zurbuchen said at the meeting: "Our civilisation is on the verge of discovering evidence of alien life in the cosmos.
"Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are searching for alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented discoveries in history."
Recent discoveries in our solar system and beyond have boosted the hopes of those who long for first contact with alien life.
In April, scientists announced that the Cassini space probe had discovered hydrogen on the Saturn moon of Enceladus, the "missing ingredient" that could support microbial life on the seafloor of the icebound moon.
And just this month, scientists at Nasa's Ames Research Centre revealed the "most reliable" catalogue yet of potential planets in our galaxy, bringing the total to 4034.
According to the scientists, more than 2300 planets spotted during the Kepler missions have been confirmed so far, including more than 30 terrestrial-sized planets that lie in the "Goldilocks Zone" of their star considered conducive to life.
The new findings represent an explosion in knowledge about potential havens for alien life on other planets.
"Only in the last few decades have we been able to detect the existence of other worlds," said House Committee on Science Space and Technology chairman Lamar Smithin at an April 26 hearing. "The pursuit of evidence of life beyond our planet fascinates the American people."
Anonymous' video opens by reading the text of an article responding to that Congressional hearing and predicting the imminent announcement of the discovery of extraterrestrial life.
That article, and two other read aloud in the video, appeared on the website Ancient Code between January and April of this year, DailyMail.com can confirm.
The articles ran without bylines. The Ancient Code website appears to be registered in Croatia.

Roswell, New Mexico festival celebrates 70th anniversary of UFO incident
By OLLIE REED JR. | Albuquerque Journal, N.M. (TNS)
ROSWELL, N.M. (Tribune News Service) — Suddenly, the silver saucer that has been suspended, stationary and silent above and behind four sallow-skinned, somber-faced, spaced-out aliens, starts to spin and spew smoke.
Caught by surprise, visitors to the International UFO Museum and Research Center – kids and adults – stand wide-eyed and transfixed, traces of smiles creasing their faces as they watch and wonder what’s next.
Well, actually, that’s about all. This saucer in the museum display does not crash as many people believe – or would like to believe – an actual alien craft did 70 years ago and about 75 miles northwest of here.
The so-called Roswell Incident of 1947 is the reason the city of Roswell started a UFO Festival in 1995 and will host the 2017 festival Thursday, June 29, through Sunday, July 2.
It’s the reason stores along Main Street sell T-shirts embossed with little green men and slogans such as “Roswell – Green since 1947.”
It’s the reason why this museum was opened in 1992. And it’s the reason Dana Lenko, 35, alien-visaged antennae growing out of her long, dark hair, is among the museum visitors delighting in the spinning, smoking saucer.
Lenko is a native of Melbourne, Australia, but she has lived in this country for three years and makes her home in Austin, where she is a fashion designer. Earlier this month, she was traveling with friends in New Mexico.
“I have never been in New Mexico before,” she said. “We want to see Santa Fe and Taos. But I’ve always been very keen on the stars and the vastness of space. My dad was an amateur astronomer. He gave me a love for that and for science fiction and the films. So I wanted to see Roswell for sure. You’ve got the chance to come here where it all started.”
Strange debris
There were reports of Unidentified Flying Objects before whatever happened in New Mexico in the summer of 1947 happened. But the Roswell Incident planted the seed out of which today’s fascination with extraterrestrial visitation sprouted.
A publicity poster for the 2017 Roswell, N.M. UFO festival. UFOFESTIVALROSWELL.COM
It started when W.W. “Mac” Brazel, who was running a sheep operation on a ranch 30 miles southeast of Corona, in Lincoln County, found debris scattered in his pasture in the summer of 1947. It was described as lightweight wood, tinfoil, tape, paper and strips of rubber, which sounds mundane enough. Except that some of it has also been described as impervious to fire, knife and hammer and unnaturally resilient.
When Brazel told neighbors about it during the first week of July, they said he might have found wreckage from one of those flying saucers that had been in newspaper stories recently. So Brazel drove down to Roswell Army Air Field and reported his find.
The Army collected the debris and on July 8 the Roswell air field public relations officer released information saying the Army had recovered a flying disc. It made newspaper headlines, but the story was retracted by the Army almost immediately. The debris was actually from a weather balloon, the Army said. So sorry for the goof up.
That could have been that. Mac Brazel died in 1963 and the years rolled along until 1980, when, in “The Roswell Incident,” Charles Berlitz and William L. Moore wrote that the weather balloon story was a cover-up, that not only was the stuff Brazel found from a flying saucer but that the Army had discovered the crashed saucer itself and the bodies of its alien crew.
It exploded from there. There were more books with varying body counts and crash-site locations. There was a 1999 TV movie; a 1999-2002 TV series; countless TV documentaries, including one in 1995 that claimed to depict an autopsy of an alien crash victims (it wasn’t); and a 1999 episode on “The X-Files” TV series.
Wall-to-wall people
Roswell, a city of 50,000 about 200 miles southeast of Albuquerque, was not about to miss out on the action or the opportunity. Today, the “Welcome to Roswell” sign sports a tilted saucer on one corner. Through 2016, the UFO Museum had attracted 3,569,826 visitors, 13 percent of whom come from other countries. This year’s UFO festival is expected to draw 30,000 people, a boon to hotels, restaurants, service stations and stores with names such as Alien Zone, Alien Invasion, 3RD Rock From the Sun and Roswell Landing.
“The festival is our Black Friday,” said Robert Marshall, 53, a Roswell native and an employee of Roswell Landing, which sells alien-themed merchandise such as T-shirts, coffee cups, shot glasses, key chains, magnets and so on. “We’ve been back stocking a lot of merchandise (for the festival). Upstairs is all T-shirts.”
Jessie Payne, 32, manager of Alien Zone, remembers the 1997 festival, which marked the Roswell Incident’s 50th anniversary, as being the landmark celebration to date.
“That was wall-to-wall people,” she said. “People were walking up and down Main Street for miles. You couldn’t (drive) anywhere for stopping for pedestrians.”
To boost its everyday traffic, Alien Zone features Area 51, a special section where, for a $2 to $3 admission fee, patrons can see displays depicting aliens adapting to earthly avocations such as lounging on couches and drinking beer.
On a recent day, Kevin Childers, 33, a medical doctor from Hendersonville, Tenn., and his wife, Danielle, 30, checked out Area 51. The Childers said their interest in Roswell had been piqued by “Unacknowledged,” a recent documentary about the suppression of alien-encounter incidents, a recurring theme in the UFO books, articles and films.
The Childers said they were having a good time in Roswell.
“We are here purely for the entertainment,” Kevin Childers said. “No tinfoil hats for us.”
Something happened
Roswell Landing’s Marshall said 95 percent of the people who come into the store are from somewhere else. He said those are the people who want alien T-shirts and coffee mugs.
He said it’s different for people, such as himself, who were born in Roswell.
“You hear about it so much you don’t pay attention to it anymore,” he said. “But something happened. When the Army tells the Roswell Record (newspaper) they have found a flying saucer, and then the next day they have to come back and say it was a weather balloon.”
One explanation, and it sounds reasonable, is that the Army was not covering up for a flying saucer find but for Project Mogul, an operation, top secret at the time, aimed at discovering whether or not the Soviet Union was testing atomic bombs. The project employed high-altitude balloons equipped with sensitive microphones that could detect sound waves generated by atomic testing. Maybe it was a Project Mogul balloon that crashed into Brazel’s sheep pasture.
Frank Kimbler, 61, one of the guest speakers at this year’s UFO Festival, thinks the Project Mogul theory is just so much gas.
“A craft of unknown origin crashed in the New Mexico desert and scared the hell out of the American military and out of people (witnesses) to the point they won’t talk about it today,” Kimbler said.
An assistant professor of earth sciences at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, Kimbler will be giving a festival lecture titled “Roswell Crash Site: The Quest for Physical Evidence.” Over the last seven years he has been scouring the Brazel debris field, using metal detectors, remote sensing and radiation-detecting devices to search for pieces of debris overlooked by the Army, artifacts that may shed some light on what happened there in 1947.
“All we have is handed-down stories,” he said. “I need to take some of my science and see if I can find some physical evidence. I’ve found some aluminum-type alloys. For good science, you need to have samples tested at three independent laboratories. But as soon as I start to get an answer, things disappear – in the mail or somehow.”
Nazi UFOs
Guy Malone, 48, of Roswell has organized a series of UFO Festival lectures that challenge the extraterrestrial hypothesis. He himself is doing presentations titled “Are Aliens Demons? Evidences That Suggest ‘Yes'” and “Roswell 1947: What Really Happened?”
Malone’s theory is that the Roswell Incident is about something more devious and sinister than an alien crash and subsequent government cover-up. He thinks it might have involved the crash of an experimental aircraft being developed for the United States by German scientists.
Malone said that following World War II, a secret effort, known as Operation Paperclip, smuggled hundreds of German scientists, engineers and technicians – many of them former members of the Nazi party – into this country.
“Hitler was notorious for developing flying craft of different shapes and propulsion devices,” Malone said. “The U.S. wanted the technology because the Russians were trying to scoop up these (Germans), as well as other countries.” He said some of the Germans were sent to Fort Bliss in Texas and New Mexico and White Sands in New Mexico.
Malone believes the cover-up was an attempt to keep new technology under wraps and conceal from the public the fact that Nazis were working for the U.S. government.
Don Schmitt, 62, the co-author of five books about the Roswell Incident, said he was a skeptic when he started investigating the case in 1989.
“But the moment we started talking to people who actually handled the material (debris found by Brazel), we started thinking ‘What if we are wrong?’,” Schmitt said during a phone interview from his Wisconsin home. He said the first 10 witnesses all said the same thing about the debris, that it was like metal but it wasn’t, it was like plastic but it wasn’t, that it couldn’t be cut or burned or creased. Now, he says, he is 99 percent sure the crash involved something from another world.
Schmitt and his writing partner, Thomas J. Carey, will give several lectures at the UFO festival, one titled “The Misadventures of Two Roswell Investigators.”
“The investigation is still fluid,” he said. “We are planning our sixth archaeological dig (at the Brazel debris field). We may come away with nothing, but we can say we did it.”
Mysterious universe
Back at the UFO Museum, Pamela Cortez, 46, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, is checking out the exhibits. She has come to New Mexico to visit her daughter and two grandkids, all of whom live in Carlsbad.
Cortez’s favorite museum display features statements by persons involved directly or indirectly with the Roswell incident. She thinks an alien spacecraft did slam into a New Mexico pasture 70 years ago.
“I believe it’s true. I believe the government hides a lot of stuff from us.”
Fashion designer Lenko, she of the alien antennae, is more cautious.
“I believe – in a more scientific way – that there might be other inhabitable planets out there,” she said. “It would be a bit arrogant of us to think that in this whole wide universe there is no other life. There’s a big universe out there, a lot of mysteries. It is very exciting.”
Researchers Kat Volk and Renu Malhotra studied the orbits of objects in the Kuiper Belt, the asteroid field where Pluto is located. Objects in the Kuiper Belt orbit at an incline relative to the rest of the solar system. Typically, unusual orbits like these can be explained by the gravitational influence of nearby planets, but there are no existing planets that could have caused this kind of tilt.
Heather Roper/LPL
One explanation, proposed by the researchers, is that there is another planet out there messing with those Kuiper Belt objects. According to the pair's calculations, the undiscovered planet would have to be about the same size as Mars. The researchers predict that the mystery planet is around twice as far away from us as Pluto, at 50 to 55 AU.
But there's good reason to be skeptical that this planet exists at all. A planet as large and close as the researchers claim shouldn't be too difficult to spot, so if it does exist it would be surprising that it was not noticed before now. There are several sky surveys like Pan-STARRS and NEOWISE that should have picked it up.
But just because they haven't seen anything yet doesn't mean that Planet 10 isn't out there. It could be particularly hard to spot, dark and non-reflective, or hiding in a region of the sky where we haven't looked at in detail. If Planet 10 isn't out there, that means something else is causing the strange orbits of all the objects in the Kuiper Belt, which might be an even bigger mystery.
It will probably take a very long time to find out for sure if Planet 10 is really out there, but expect a lot of astronomers and planetary experts to weigh in over the coming weeks and months. If Planet 10 does exist it'll only be a matter of time until we find it.
Questions for a UFO Expert: Bruce Maccabee on the Real X-Files, Roswell and His Own UFO Sighting
As scientific disciplines go, UFOlogy (pronounced you-FOL-oh-gee)—the study of understanding unidentified flying objects—does not get the level of respect that's accorded to, say, physics. Dr. Bruce Maccabee has a foot in both fields. He was an optical physicist for the U.S. Navy, now retired, and doubles as a dedicated ufologist. PM talked to Maccabee this week about his work.
Bruce Maccabee traces his involvement with UFOlogy to a lecture he attended by an UFO hunting organization called the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena. At the time, he was earning his doctorate in physics at American University in Washington, D.C., and soon after the lecture, he signed up to volunteer for the Committee's office. Maccabee has since gone on to investigate dozens of UFO incidents including the Trent Farm incident of 1950, and he has written more than a hundred papers as one of the preeminent voices in the formal science of removing the "un" from "unidentified flying objects."
PM: What is the FBI's "flying-disc file"?
Maccabee: The FBI's flying-disc file began in the summer of 1947 after sightings of what we now call UFOs began in earnest. A sighting in Mount Rainer, Washington, was the first such event to be publicized in national newspapers in the United States. Kenneth Arnold, the witness and an experienced pilot, talked about semicircular craft traveling at great speed and flipping and flashing as they bounced along. He said it was somewhat like skipping a saucer on the water, which led to some clever newsman coining "flying saucers." A barrage of flying saucer sightings followed, including reports from Air Force officers seeing unknown things fly over their bases. On July 10, top Air Force intelligence generals asked the FBI if they would investigate to see if Communist sympathizers were generating spurious, false stories about craft with extreme dynamic capabilities to scare the American people into thinking that the Soviet Union had gotten far ahead of us. That was considered subversive activity, and of course the FBI was hot on subversion at the time. The FBI investigated for two months, interviewing a dozen or so witnesses, and some of the case reports were filed under--believe it or not--"Security Matter X." So we're talking about the real X-Files.
How did you get access to these documents?
I had filed a Freedom of Information Act request in the fall of 1976, so I figured sometime around 2010 I would get a response. So I was very surprised when I got a phone call at my desk in May 1977 from a very surprised FBI investigator saying he'd found 1600 pages of UFO-related stuff.
What is in these X-Files?
Amid the interoffice memoranda and newspaper clippings, I realized there was some pretty hot-potato stuff. For example, it was the first time that there was any public knowledge of the FBI's involvement with UFO investigations. J. Edgar Hoover [the long-time FBI Director] had lied in the 1960s about that. Though the FBI found no evidence of pro-Communist subversion, this arrangement opened a doorway for the Air Force to contact the FBI and send more UFO information. From then on the FBI acted like a black hole--stuff would go in, but nothing would come out. Basically, the Air Force continued telling things about UFOs to the FBI that they did not share with the American public. In 1998, the X-Files were posted on the FBI's website, and you can read more in my book called The UFO/FBI Connection.
What about the Roswell, New Mexico, incident of July 7, 1947, when a flying saucer allegedly crashed in the desert?
I think Roswell was covered up to the extent that people in Air Force intelligence didn't even know about it. The FBI is involved in a piece of it, too--a document notes that telephonic conversation between Air Force people indicated that the crash remains did not fully meet the description of a weather balloon (the official explanation). For those of us on the outside, we have no hard evidence. The case for Roswell actually started in 1979 when Jesse Marcel, the Army Major who played a role in the recovery of the crash debris, started publicly saying how he thought it was an alien spaceship. Until then, Roswell had totally dropped out of UFO history.
It was September 16, 1991, in Gulf Breeze, Florida. In November 1990 they started having nightly reports of this red light thing in the sky that very often would burst into flashes and go out. Sometimes it went from white to red or back. Mostly it was one object, but sometimes there were multiple ones. News crews went down there several times, and from as far away as Japan and Germany. It was thought that these sightings might be gas bag balloons with flares attached--a hoax. But triangulation of an object showed that it moved at 30 miles per hour crosswind, which can only be done if you have a powered device. So if it was a hoax, you'd have to have a blimp or perhaps an unmanned aerial vehicle that carried one or more complex pyrotechnic display devices. It couldn't just be a regular road flare given the color changes and flashing. If this is a hoax, it's a major one. I thought I had better go. So one night we're out there at the south end of the Pensacola Bay Bridge and a lady yelled, "There it is!" I looked up in the sky and saw a spot of lights. Then through my binoculars--the standard necklace for night-watching--I saw the image resolve itself into eight tiny white lights with a yellow tinge. I went ahead and tried to do my measurements. I had brought with me a "big ear," which is a sensitive microphone for listening at a distance. I couldn't hear a thing. The UFO moved somewhat and then disappeared. I didn't call the guys in white coats to take me away because 30 other people saw the same thing. We got a lot of pictures of these sightings, which allowed for analysis. By knowing how big the image is on film, you can calculate its angular size out to a distance of a mile or two or 10. In this instance, it got to the point where it was like turning on a chandelier, tens of feet in diameter, at an altitude of a mile--now how the hell do you do that?
UFO researcher says new documentary exposes ‘what the secret agenda has been’
Film paired with Steven Greer’s book gets Toronto premiere this weekend at Alien Cosmic Expo UFO symposium.
Steven Greer says release of what government knows about UFOS "would create a scandal thousands of times worse than Watergate or Russia-gate or whatever."
Even within the much-maligned and widely misunderstood field of “UFOlogy,” Steven Greer is a divisive figure.
His affinity for the spotlight and his willingness to dive deep into areas of the subject where other UFO researchers fear to tread have painted him with a broader target for contention than many of his contemporaries. He is at it once again with the recent book-and-film combo Unacknowledged: An Exposé of the Greatest Secret in Human History — the compelling documentary half of which will receive its Toronto premiere coupled with a Q&A with Greer this Saturday. The event is open to non-conference attendees as part of the three-day Alien Cosmic Expo UFO symposium taking place over the weekend at the Airport Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Greer is not easing off. As he puts it, Unacknowledged — the book and the film, the latter directed by first-time documentarian Michael Mazzola — “really take people from zero to 100 quickly.”
The Unacknowledged project basically lays all the cards on the table this former emergency-room physician from Charlotte, N.C., has accumulated during his 24 years advocating for official, institutional “disclosure” of what government, military and the intelligence community really know about unidentified flying objects at the helm of the Disclosure Project.
But these days Greer is pushing it all one step further.
Unacknowledged alleges that a military-industrialist cabal of semi-public/semi-private interests has had access to technology reverse-engineered from crashed UFOs for more than half a century that would render all known terrestrial sources of power and propulsion obsolete, and yet has withheld it from the public due to its defence value and the potential damage its unveiling would pose to the “global macroeconomic order.”
Some, the book and the film contend, would also like to keep this all under wraps because beyond-top-secret terrestrial capabilities to reproduce alien craft could be very useful in psychological warfare — even in staging an entire “false-flag” invasion by imagined alien aggressors from the stars.
“Well, that’s the problem,” says Greer.
“One of the reasons I’m doing what I’m doing is that there are people within the intelligence community who don’t know how to get themselves out of that hole and yet they’re very supportive of disclosure, and they’ve told me this.
“If you read between the lines of what I just said, what I’m saying to you — and you’re welcome to print this — is that there are some very powerful interests who realize that they are stuck in this black hole and they don’t know how to get out of it because it would create a scandal thousands of times worse than Watergate or Russia-gate or whatever the latest scandal is that the Washington Post and the New York Times and perhaps your paper are obsessing on.”
Far-fetched, perhaps. But to develop a serious interest in the serious study of UFOs — and there is serious study out there, despite the subject’s persistent reputation as the obsession of conspiracy theorists and tinfoil-hat-wearing nutjobs — requires not only concurrently developing a thick skin against accusations that you are a conspiracy theorist, a tinfoil-hat-wearing nutjob or some combination thereof, but also doing enough research into the matter that you can start to sort the credible stuff from the lunacy.
That’s not always easy. As Greer notes: “There’s so much nonsensical information out there on the subject that it self-ridicules.”
Still, UFO lore is rife with much documentary evidence, and remaining ignorant, as Greer sees it, will only allow those in the know to use whatever hidden knowledge they might have for further hidden purposes. And he’s dead serious about false UFO events being potentially used to manipulate the public.
“Look, we stampeded into Iraq after 9/11 without there being a scintilla of evidence that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 and we know now that that was completely a hoax.
“So the question becomes how easy is it for the intelligence community using their mouthpieces in the media . . . to put out a scenario that would scare the hell out of people so that people would give up their liberties and their finances and what have you — their blood and treasure — to stampede into the next big thing, which has been planned for 60 years and that is a conflict between humans and other planetary societies.
“Now, it’s completely nonsensical. It’s as nonsensical as going into Iraq was, but we did go into Iraq and there are hundreds of thousands of people dead as a result and now Syria has blown apart. So there are consequences to this . . .
“The majority of people already believe there is intelligent life out there and the last poll I saw said that 43 per cent of Americans think we’re currently being visited. More than half the public all over the world believes that UFOs are real and that governments are hiding something. So that battle has been won, but the larger argument has to still be engaged.
“And that’s why we made this film, in part, to expose what the secret agenda has been and the disinformation campaigns.”
Secret Underground Bases and the True Story of Philip Schneider
Philip Schneider died on January 17, 1996, shortly after conducting several controversial lectures throughout the US, including Denver where he covered topics such as, Space-Defense, black helicopters, railroad cars built with shackles, extraterrestrials and the secret black budget.
He was reportedly strangled by a catheter found wrapped around his neck – the bizarre death being dismissed by the authorities as suicide.
If the circumstances of his death seem highly controversial, they are matched by the controversy over his public statements uttered shortly before his death.
Philip Schneider was a self-taught geologist and explosives expert. Of the 1,477 underground bases around the world, 129 deep underground facilities of which were located in the United States, he claimed to have worked on 13.
Two of these bases were major, including the much rumored bioengineering facility at Dulce, New Mexico.
At Dulce, Schneider maintained, “gray” humanoid extraterrestrials worked side by side with American technicians. In 1979, a misunderstanding arose. In the ensuing shootout, 66 Secret Service, FBI and Black Berets were killed along with an unspecified number of “grays”.
It was here he received a beam-weapon blast to the chest which caused his later cancer many have confirmed that a large scar indeed existed.
Philip Schneider recounts his encounter with extraterrestrials in the following excerpt:
“I was involved in building an addition to the deep underground military base at Dulce, which is probably the deepest base. My job was to go down the holes and check the rock samples, and recommend the explosive to deal with the particular rock.
“As I was headed down there, we found ourselves amidst a large cavern that was full of outer-space aliens, otherwise known as large Greys. I shot two of them.
“At that time, there were 30 people down there. About 40 more came down after this started, and all of them got killed. We had surprised a whole underground base of existing aliens.
“Later, we found out that they had been living on our planet for a long time, perhaps a million years. This could explain a lot of what is behind the theory of ancient astronauts.”
An fire exchange occurred between gray aliens and secret service personnel.
In the ensuing shootout, 66 Secret Service, FBI and Black Berets were killed along with an unspecified number of “grays”. It was here he received a beam-weapon blast to the chest which caused his later cancer; many have confirmed that a large scar indeed existed.
Schneider maintained that numerous previous attempts had been made on his life, including the removal of the nuts from one of the front wheels of his automobile.
He had stated publicly he was a marked man and did not expect to live long.
“If I ever ‘commit suicide’,” Schneider told a close friend, “I’ll have been murdered.”
Some of Schneider’s more major accusations are worthy of attention:
1) The American government concluded a treaty with “gray” aliens in 1954. This mutual cooperation pact is called the Grenada Treaty.
2) The space shuttle has been producing special alloys in orbit. A vacuum is needed for the creation of these special metals, thereby justifying the mandate for a large, permanently manned space station.
3) Much of our stealth aircraft technology was developed by back-engineering crashed alien craft.
4) AIDS was a population control virus invented by the National Ordinance Laboratory, Chicago, Illionois.
5) Unbeknownst to just about everyone, the US government has an earthquake device. Neither the 1995 Kobe earthquake nor the 1989 San Francisco quake had a pulse wave.
6) The World Trade Center bomb blast and the Oklahoma City blast were achieved using small nuclear devices. The melting and pitting of the concrete and the extrusion of metal supporting rods indicated this. (Schneider’s forte, he claimed, was explosives.)
Finally, Phil Schneider lamented that the democracy he loved no longer existed: we had become instead a technocracy ruled by a shadow government intent on imposing their own view of things on all of us, whether we like it or not.
He believed 11 of his best friends had been murdered in the last 22 years, eight of whose deaths had been officially explained as suicides.
Whatever one might think of Phil Schneider’s claims, it’s clear that he was of particular interest to the FBI and CIA.
His widow has stated that intelligence agents thoroughly searched the premises shortly after his death and made off with at least a third of the family photographs.
In the following video Philip Schneider talks about his experience and what the government is trying to hide, furthermore, the history of underground bases told by Richard Dolan and Richard Sauder.
The fossil that inspired Alien: 300 million-year-old relic which designer used to create extra-terrestrials in sci-fi classic
Most of us do not believe in aliens but looking at this strange fossil might just make you stop and think.
This relic is in fact the ancient fossil that inspired the extra-terrestrial antagonists in Ridley Scott’s classic sci-fi horror, Alien.
The creator of Alien was Swiss surrealist artist, Hans Rudolf Giger, who was sought out by Ridley Scott to design the creatures after he saw Giger’s artwork Necronom IV, one among his many designs that are said to have been based on the fossils.

Alien abduction: This 300-million-year-old fossil, which inspired the artist who designed the extra-terrestrial antagonist of the Alien films, was stolen and and later returned to a Swiss museum
Mr Giger’s designs – one of which was all too memorably seen bursting out of a character’s chest on screen – went on to win his team an Academy Award for Best Achievement for Visual Effects on the 1979 film and the franchise that followed.
But the stranger than fiction fossil is actually the remains of an early form of life that existed on our own planet an incredible 300 million years ago.
And the extremely rare fossil captured the public imagination so much when it went on display in Switzerland that it not only attracted plenty of visitors, it also tempted a thief.
Police believe the thief – who broke into the case and stole the Aathal dinosaur museum’s prize exhibit – is a fossil collector.
The iconic scene in Ridley Scott’s film when one of the alien’s wrapped itself around John Hurt’s face
The relic was the inspiration for Ridley Scott’s blockbuster film Alien
Last week police released the photo in a bid to find the exhibit and track down whoever who took it.
And now the priceless piece has been returned after it was put into the museum’s post box tucked inside a padded envelope.
Museum curator Dr. Thomas Bolliger said: ‘It was comparatively undamaged – although one of the arms had broken off.
‘It really is a remarkable fossil and shows two separate species of a spineless animal that lived at the bottom of the sea around 300 million years ago.’
A museum spokesman added: ‘It is a very valuable but also a very unique fossil and it will be very difficult for anybody to sell or indeed to keep secret given the publicity around the theft.’

The following account, from Terry – of Shingle Springs, California – is without doubt one of the most chilling MIB-themed reports ever to have reached me. And, taking into consideration the large number of reports I get on a regular basis, I don’t state those words lightly. Terry tells a fascinatingly weird and creepy saga of a face-to-face encounter with an old and sinister man in Black forty years ago. In Terry’s own uninterrupted words: “This encounter occurred during the day time thirty five years ago in 1977 at a Winchell’s in Sunnyvale, California, I was just sixteen years of age at the time. My best friend and I had just finished our coffee and were heading for the doorway to leave. As we were passing a man seated at one of the tables, he reached out and firmly grabbed my wrist. In that moment my first reaction was to jerk away from his grip, but looking down at him I realized that he was a very old man and I felt in that moment that he was harmless. He was dressed in black wearing an old fashioned hat and suit, his clothing looked like it was from the 1930’s. He was extremely pale, very thin and appeared to be very old, I guessed in his 80’s or 90’s.
“He told my friend and I that he was a palm reader, a very good one, he claimed and could he please do us a favor by giving us each a reading. My friend and I talked briefly to each other about his offer and agreed to let him. I first sat down across the table from him, then as my friend was starting to sit down along side of me, he stopped her and asked her to please go sit a few tables away out of earshot from us, explaining that the information was going to be direct and personal, we would need some privacy. She complied and moved several tables away.
“Once my friend was seated away from us, I placed my hands on the table in front of him, palms up and looked into the man’s face, it was then that I noticed the old man’s eyes were completely glazed over with cataracts, he was surely blind I thought, as his gaze was unfixed and unfocused in my direction. I asked him how long had he been a psychic? He responded by saying that his ability had nothing to do with being psychic and emphasized that it had everything to do with ‘science.’
“He began by talking about my early childhood experiences along with some very painful incidents that had occurred to me in which he had precise and detailed information that I was sure no one could have known about. Quite suddenly I felt very vulnerable and exposed as he recounted these events, his knowledge unnerved me to my very core. Staring straight ahead he moved along into my present situation, lecturing and chastising me like a father would a child, for some poor choices I had made during that time. All the while he broke a doughnut down into tiny pieces. My mind raced as I tried to figure out how on earth could he know this stuff? It was then in that moment that I would forever change my ideas of ‘secrets kept’ and how I viewed my own identity in the world. Apparently ‘nothing’ could be hidden from myself or anyone else for that matter. I felt naked in the truth.
“He continued this reading now delving into my future and that of upcoming world events, with stories sometimes so harsh and brutal that I clearly remember wondering if I would ever ‘catch a break in life?’ Among other things, he warned me of a time when that by speaking about my UFO experiences I would anger ‘the governmental powers that be’ and he cautioned that I would be dealing with very dangerous people and circumstances. He rambled on often emphasizing again that this all had to do with ‘science.’
“I then asked him if he could see any kind of success coming to me, ever? He responded by telling me, ‘You will not find success in life, you will die of a broken heart. It will be a better stronger woman who will be successful.’ As I listened to his words I began to cry and he sharply asked me, ‘Are you going to lay down and die like a frightened whore, or are you going to be willing to stand up and fight like a worthy warrior?’ I was stunned into silence and then he said, ‘Whether you realize this or not, I have done you a huge favor today and I will be returning to see you in the future, years from now to collect on it.’
“As a side note, I do not recall the exact time he said, but do recall thinking ‘You’ll be long dead by then old man.’ Our reading ended, he asked me to leave the table and he then waived for my friend to come over to sit with him. He spent all of five minutes with her and when she arose from the table she was badly shaken and would only say that she hoped that what he predicted for her was not true.
“As we exited the doughnut shop I tried to press my friend for more information because she was crying, but she was too upset to speak about what he had said to her. Once out on the street the both of us walking together toward home, my friend asked me to tell her about what the old man said to me in my reading with him, she pointed out that the reading he gave went on for an hour and forty five minutes with me. I was lost for words when she spoke up and said, ‘Linda I don’t think he was a person, I think that old man was an alien.’
“Right in that moment as she was speaking we watched as an old black 1930’s or 40’s gangster type car with running boards pull out of the parking lot and pass us on the street, there was no driver at the wheel and the same old man that we had met, was riding in the back seat. Our mouths dropped as we watched the car pass by us and at the same time a whirlwind picked up and swirled around our feet. We watched the car disappear from view making a turn further down the street, I then shook my head and responded to her with ‘No, he was just a creepy old man in black.’
“Over the years during the course of our friendship my friend and I would many times ponder and question our meeting with ‘the old man in black.’ We could not understand who or what he was and neither of us would reveal to the other exactly what his frightening messages to each of us separately were, agreeing only that we felt that he was speaking the truth and that it was frightening for both us. We would part ways and our friendship ended in 1988 when I came out to her about my lifelong UFO experiences and the old man’s messages to me. She mocked and ridiculed me in that moment. It was a very painful ending to our relationship for me. I would struggle with it for years.
“In 1988 when I began to seriously study the UFO phenomena I came across stories about these Men in Black, Master Tricksters and the like. It was then that I began to understand who and what they are and how this ‘old man in black‘ specifically related to me as that young teenager all those years ago and yet, I was still haunted by his promise to return to collect on that favor.
“During Christmas of 2009, alone in my mother’s apartment while she traveled, I found myself slipping into a deep depression and I was filled with despair. During the course of that year I had lost a job that I loved due to the economy, gone through a terrible break up with a man I could no longer love, I found out that my old friend who was with me in 1977 on that day with the ‘old man in black’ in Sunnyvale had died in 2008 from cancer and I had still not gotten over losing my beloved horse Meaghan, who had also died the year before, leaving me filled with a sorrow that I was not able to overcome.
“Starting on Christmas day I fasted and prayed for three days hoping that I could find some peace and comfort. It was then I realized that, I was indeed ‘heartbroken’ over my losses and suddenly the encounter with ‘the old man in black‘ came flooding back into my mind and would not leave me alone. In trying to escape his words and his terrible messages to me, I began drinking heavily at night until I could find some peace in sleep. This would go on into the beginning of 2011 when I finally began to slowly recover from the pain. I finally thought I had come to terms with that old man’s warnings and I successfully quit drinking, my attitude shifted and I was now looking forward to a great new year.
“In April of last year [Nick’s note: 2011] I discovered a lump in my breast and was at first unconcerned about it, I thought that it was probably a just a fibroid cyst that would go away on its own. I put off having it checked out until July when the lump had grown quite large and when the results came back positive for cancer I was shocked. Last month after trying a lot of alternative therapies in the prior months since July, I had a mastectomy. The pathology indicates that I have advanced stage cancer and once again the ‘old man in black’ and his words are haunting me. Oddly I find myself both eager and apprehensive as I await his return, but know that above all, I am no longer afraid.”
There ends Terry’s words. The story, however, is not quite over. There is one final, very strange story to tell. Terry emailed the above account to me on February 28, 2012. In the copy that arrived to me, after the final sentence above that ends “…I am no longer afraid,” were these words: “I will probably have to keep him at bay when he returns.” When I sent Terry’s text back to her, to show her how it would be formatted in the pages of this book, she replied that she did not write those words of ‘I will probably have to keep him at bay when he returns.’ Rather, the last words in the email Terry sent me stated that with respect to the old MIB, she ‘would embrace him warmly.’
In other words, the email she sent me was subtly different to the one which I received. To this day, I have not been able to explain how such an odd, and somewhat unsettling, change should have been made to Terry’s text. The bigger questions, of course, are: (a) who was responsible for making the change? and (b) why?
It’s a UFO. It’s a strange balloon. It’s a propeller-less drone. It’s a flying turtle. It’s an alien dumpling. Whatever it is, it was seen over Oshawa in Ontario last week and has defied identification.
“It came out of no where, this thing, I was walking back to my car and I just saw something pop out of no where, way up high, far away in the sky.”
Wildlife photographer Ken Rice claims he was taking photos in a marsh area near the General Motors of Canada headquarters at about 7:45 p.m. on June 17 when the object suddenly appeared in his field of vision.
“I was walking back to my car and I just saw something pop out of no where, way up high, far away in the sky. I thought it was a big turkey vulture so I just took a picture of it anyway and then it kind of hovered, sat there for a minute and then it took off.”
As is the case with many UFO sightings, Rice says he took a closer look at the photos at home and realized it wasn’t a turkey vulture but a … well, this experienced wildlife photographer couldn’t identify the object as anything he’d seen in nature. Thinking it was the ever-popular weather balloon, he scanned the Internet for balloons that might look like this UFO but claims he found none. That’s when he posted it for the UFO experts on the web to tell him what it is.
If the object is manmade, it doesn’t look like the kind of thing Oshawa would be proud of. This high tech city was once known as the “Automotive Capital of Canada” – the UFO was spotted over the headquarters of GM Canada – and is now the place to go in Canada for jobs in advanced manufacturing, health technology, logistics, energy and IT. The UFO doesn’t look like a promotional balloon or flying vehicle that GM would be using or testing and its shape is not something high tech drone designers would be proud of … even as a hoax.
Speaking of hoax, could Ken Rice be perpetrating one? It’s hard to believe a “wildlife photographer” would mistake that floating spiked pillow for a turkey vulture and the sky doesn’t look dark enough to play tricks on a trained photographer’s eye. If he’s been out in the marshes long enough, he would certainly recognize it if it was a native creature. And, if he truly is an experienced camera guy, he’d know a bug or speck of pollen flying in front of his lens. Also, if he’s handy with photographic software, his CGI would be better, wouldn’t it?
The most common suggestion is that the object is a helium party balloon shaped like the sun or a sunflower. Rice vehemently disagrees with this.
“A balloon wouldn’t go that fast and disappear No. 1, and it was too high. Nobody would be flying a kite there because it’s just railroad tracks and the road and there was nobody around there. I didn’t see anybody, and where did it go?”
Unfortunately, he took photos and not a video.
Balloon? Drone? Tiny spaceship? Organic flying alien from the planet Turtlonia? What do you think?
WAT HAD DIE UFO TE ZOEKEN BIJ DE GRENFELL TOREN IN LONDEN? (VIDEO)
Great destruction resulting in the extensive loss of life, especially by fire.
A sacrificial offering that is consumed entirely by flames.
These objects are really Venus and Mercury against the backdrop of our Sun?
Using the NASA SOHO COR2 satellite tool, on May 6 and May 25, 2017 NASA showed observations of the orbits of the planets Mercury and Venus against the backdrop of our Sun.
As you will see later in the video, these shots could not be produced by the NASA satellite tool, because the satellite was completely elsewhere and could not transmit image data to NASA according to Myunhauzen74.
Myunhauzen74: Also, pay attention to the shape and the intensity of the glow of the planets. It can be concluded that, the planets have a form that does not correspond to scientific data. At all, I’m convinced that based on my analysis, NASA falsifies the (SOHO) observations of the planets, they not show us the real planets!
The ultimate guide to the Hollow Earth Theory! The biggest cover-up of all time is the fact that there is a civilization of people living in the center of Earth, and that's just one of many secrets i reveal in this insightful Documentary.
Astronomers believe they have found signs of a planet with a mass between that of Earth and Mars beyond Neptune.
The movement of objects in the Kuiper Belt – thousands of asteroids, comets and dwarf planets orbiting the Sun beyond Neptune – suggests a planet is hiding among them.

“Something as massive as Mars would be needed”

Neptune – the eighth planet in our Solar System – is the furthest from the Sun so far proven to exist.
Scientists claimed to have discovered a ninth planet beyond Neptune – dubbed somewhat unimaginatively “Planet Nine”.
So – if it’s existence is confirmed – the new planet would be the tenth world in our Solar System.
Only a heavenly body the size of Mars or bigger would have enough mass to alter the orbits of other objects in the Kuiper Belt, researchers at the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory say.
Research fellow Kat Volk, of LPL – whose study will be published in The Astronomical Journal – said: “The most likely explanation for our results is that there is some unseen mass.
“According to our calculations, something as massive as Mars would be needed to cause the warp that we measured."

The LPL team are sure their calculations point to a new planet – not Planet 9.
Planet 9 – which was also discovered through its effects on objects in the Kuiper Belt – is thought to be four times the size of Earth and 10 times its mass.
It is believed to be about 500 to 700 “astronomical units” from Earth – up to 65 trillion miles away.
Whatever is affecting the Kuiper Belt objects the researchers have spotted is much nearer.

Ms Volk said: “[Planet 9] is too far away to influence these Kuiper Belt objects.
"It certainly has to be much closer than 100 AU to substantially affect the KBOs in that range."
The team hope a new telescope being built in Chile, the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, may help them check out more objects in the Kuiper Belt, including the possible Planet 10.

New NASA mission ideas would study the gassy environments of Uranus and Neptune, two planets on the edge of the solar system that spacecraft have visited only once.
The agency has several potential mission concepts on the table, including flybys, orbiters and even a spacecraft to dive into Uranus' atmosphere, agency officials said in a statement.
NASA released a study of potential future missions in support of the forthcoming Planetary Science Decadal Survey, a publication of the National Research Council that is used to help determine what missions NASA should pursue. The next survey covers science priorities from 2022 and 2032. [Auroras on Uranus Dazzle in New Hubble Telescope Views]
"This [NASA] study argues the importance of exploring at least one of these planets and its entire environment, which includes surprisingly dynamic icy moons, rings and bizarre magnetic fields," Mark Hofstadter, a planetary scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, said in the statement. Hofstadter was one of the two co-chairs of the science team that produced the report.
"We do not know how these planets formed and why they and their moons look the way they do," added fellow co-chair Amy Simon, senior scientist of planetary atmospheres research at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. "There are fundamental clues as to how our solar system formed and evolved that can only be found by a detailed study of one, or preferably both of these planets."
Both planets have been visited by a single spacecraft, Voyager 2, which flew by Uranus and Neptune in 1986 and 1989, respectively. Voyager 2 was tasked with viewing the largest planets of the outer solar system and took advantage of a rare planetary alignment to visit Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune on the probe's way out of the solar system. (The spacecrat's twin, Voyager 1, studied Jupiter and Saturn and entered interstellar space in 2012.)
Since then, however, telescope technology has improved enough so that scientists can perform some studies of Uranus and Neptune from the ground. Researchers using the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii, for example, have tracked giant storms appearing and disappearing on Uranus in recent years. However, no concentrated long-term program is possible on the ground, because telescope time is competitive and spread among several targets.
Studies suggest that Uranus and Neptune both have liquid oceans beneath their clouds, making up about two-thirds of their mass, NASA officials noted in the statement. It's a different environment from the much bigger Jupiter and Saturn (which are about 85 percent gas by mass) and smaller, rocky planets such as Earth or Mars, which are almost 100 percent rock.
"It's not clear how or where ice giant planets form, why their magnetic fields are strangely oriented, and what drives geologic activity on some of their moons," NASA added in the same statement. "These mysteries make them scientifically important, and this importance is enhanced by the discovery that many planets around other stars appear to be similar to our own ice giants."
Pew Pew Pew! Why Scientists Are Fired Up About Futuristic Space Lasers

WASHINGTON — Pew, pew, pew! Epic laser battles with highly concentrated beams of deadly light punching through starship hulls, slicing off limbs — or instantly vaporizing spacecraft, bodies and even planets — have been a much-loved and time-honored tradition in science fiction for many decades.
But anyone who has gripped a handheld laser pointer to lead a presentation or to tease a cat knows that lower-energy versions of lasers are quite common today. The focused light of lasers can be used for microscopy, to provide targets for weapons, to perform certain types of delicate surgery or to create spectacular visual displays at rock concerts.
And lasers are also frequently used in space — not as weapons, but to help scientists conduct highly precise measurements and observations, a group of NASA engineers and designers explained in a panel on June 16 here at Future Con. [The Most Dangerous Space Weapons Ever]
If you've ever marveled at the highly detailed Martian topography in the geobrowser Google Mars, you have lasers to thank, said Luis Ramos-Izquierdo, an optical systems engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
For four-and-a-half years, the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) used lasers to collect data on Mars' surface elevation, which was used to generate the most detailed global topographic map of any planet in our solar system, according to NASA.
Ice, ice baby
Closer to home, the Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI), scheduled to launch in 2019, will use laser technology to create 3D maps of Earth's forests and calculate their biomass, Ramos-Izquierdo said.
Another NASA mission using lasers to peer at Earth is named Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2). Scheduled to launch in 2018, ICESat-2 will use an array of six lasers — three paired beams — to track ice-sheet thickness and changes across Greenland and Antarctica, so that scientists can better estimate the risks posed by melting ice due to climate change, panel member Brooke Medley, a research associate with Earth Sciences Remote Sensing at the Goddard Space Flight Center, told the Future Con audience.
ICESat-2 is continuing the work started by an earlier mission, ICESat-1, which was the first satellite to deploy lasers from space to measure surface elevation in the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, according to NASA.
The amount of ice cover in those two regions is enormous: Greenland's area is about three times the size of Texas, while Antarctica is roughly twice the size of the contiguous United States — far too big to accurately measure elevation changes from the ground or by airplane, Medley said. ICESat-2 will conduct multiple passes overhead at an altitude of 299 miles (481 kilometers), and its lasers will gather data that will enable researchers to calculate ice volume and track changes over time.
Kate Ramsayer, Luis Ramos-Izquierdo, Brooke Medley, Erwan Mazarico, Evan Hoffman and Jennifer Sager from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center extoll the many virtues of space lasers, in the Future Con panel "NASA's Space Lasers" on June 16, 2017.

Another NASA satellite that resembles a mirror-studded disco ball — the LAser GEOdynamic Satellite (LAGEOS) — has been pinging back laser light beamed from Earth since it launched in 1976, returning data that enabled scientists to create the first models of Earth's gravitational field. Currently, there are two LAGEOS satellites in orbit, and their orbits are so stable that unless a piece of space debris collides with them, they'll be circling the planet for at least 1 million to 2 million years, according to panelist Evan Hoffman, a scientist with the Space Geodesy Project at Goddard.
In the moon's vicinity, the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter instrument on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter used lasers to gather billions of data points from the moon's surface while in orbit, enabling scientists to build the most detailed maps to date of lunar topography, Erwan Mazarico, a research associate with Planetary Studies at Goddard, said at the panel.
Lasers have also helped NASA researchers bring broadband to the moon, Jennifer Sager, lead system engineer and project manager with the Science and Planetary Operations Control Center at Goddard, told the panel audience. The Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration tested a two-way communication system between Earth and the moon using a pulsed laser beam, establishing a data download rate of 622 megabits per second, Sager said.
And researchers are even investigating whether lasers could be used defensively in space — not to battle invading extraterrestrials, but to nudge aside space debris that could damage equipment or threaten astronauts, Hoffman added.

Lighting the spark
Appearing at a conference like Future Con — where attendees are particularly enthusiastic about the real-world science behind their favorite sci-fi moments — allowed all of the scientists in the panel to touch upon some of the more interesting aspects of their research, even though the entire presentation was less than an hour, Mazarico told Space.com.
But each of the panelists could happily have spoken about lasers for much longer, Ramos-Izquierdo added.
"In reality, any one of us could talk for hours about our work and what we do — I could have gone on and on and on," Ramos-Izquierdo said.
"But it's good that they get a variety of the things we do at NASA, and maybe how it all comes together — for communication, for mapping the planet, for exploration. We gotta do all that work now, for science fiction to become real," he said.
Talking about space lasers at Future Con also brought NASA science directly to kids, perhaps encouraging the next generation of engineers and scientists, Mazarico told Space.com. And giving children a chance to meet the people behind the lasers might help them see themselves in those roles as adults, Medley added.
"We're just people that you could be passing in the street," she said. "Science isn't out of reach — it's something that is accessible for anyone."
Planet 10? Another Earth-Size World May Lurk in the Outer Solar System

A planet-size object may be orbiting the sun in the icy reaches of the solar system beyond Pluto.
Scientists at the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory (LPL) have determined that an unseen object with a mass somewhere between that of Earth and Mars could be lurking in the Kuiper Belt, a region beyond Neptune filled with thousands of icy asteroids, comets and dwarf planets.
In In January 2016, a separate group of scientists predicted the existence of a Neptune-size planet orbiting the sun far, far beyond Pluto — about 25 times farther from the sun than Pluto is. This hypothetical planet was dubbed "Planet Nine," so if both predictions are correct, one of these putative objects could be the solar system's 10th planet.
The so-called "planetary-mass object" described by the scientists from LPL appears to affect the orbits of a population of icy space rocks in the Kuiper Belt. Distant Kuiper Belt objects (KBOs) have tilted orbits around the sun. The tilted orbital planes of most KBOs average out to something called the invariable plane of the solar system.
But the orbits of the most distant KBOs tilt away from the invariable plane by an average of 8 degrees, which signals the presence of a more massive object that warps its surroundings with its gravitational field, researchers said in a study due to be published in The Astronomical Journal.
"The most likely explanation for our results is that there is some unseen mass," Kat Volk, a postdoctoral fellow at LPL and the lead author of the study, said in a statement. "According to our calculations, something as massive as Mars would be needed to cause the warp that we measured."
These KBOs act a lot like spinning tops, Renu Malhotra, a professor of planetary sciences at LPL and co-author of the new study, said in the statement.
"Imagine you have lots and lots of fast-spinning tops, and you give each one a slight nudge … If you then take a snapshot of them, you will find that their spin axes will be at different orientations, but on average, they will be pointing to the local gravitational field of Earth," she said. "We expect each of the KBOs' orbital tilt angle to be at a different orientation, but on average, they will be pointing perpendicular to the plane determined by the sun and the big planets."

It may sound a lot like the mysterious Planet Nine, but the researchers say the so-called planetary-mass object is too small, and too close, to be the same thing. Planet Nine lies 500 to 700 astronomical units (AU) from Earth, and its mass is about 10 times that of Earth. (One AU is the average distance at which Earth orbits the sun — 93 million miles, or 150 million kilometers. Pluto orbits the sun at a maximum distance of just less than 50 AU.)
"That is too far away to influence these KBOs," Volk said. "It certainly has to be much closer than 100 AU to substantially affect the KBOs in that range."
Though no planet-size objects have been spotted in the Kuiper Belt so far, the researchers are optimistic that the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST), which is currently under construction in Chile, will help find these hidden worlds. "We expect LSST to bring the number of observed KBOs from currently about 2,000 to 40,000," Malhotra said.
"There are a lot more KBOs out there — we just have not seen them yet," Malhotra added. "Some of them are too far and dim even for LSST to spot, but because the telescope will cover the sky much more comprehensively than current surveys, it should be able to detect this object, if it's out there."
New High-Speed, Sustainable Helicopter Concept Whirls into Air Show
By Kacey Deamer, Staff Writer
A new rotorcraft design was presented by Airbus Helicopters at the Paris Air Show this week, and Airbus claims it can reach a cruising speed of 250 mph (400 km/h) without a deafening roar or trade-off in sustainability.
The copter concept — code-named "Racer," for Rapid and Cost-Effective Rotorcraft — was designed as part of the Clean Sky 2 European research program, which aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and lessen noise levels produced by aircraft.
The helicopter has a main rotor and a "box-wing" design with additional smaller rotors, which offers more efficient aerodynamics by providing lift and forward momentum while the copter cruises, according to Airbus Helicopters officials. [Supersonic! The 11 Fastest Military Airplanes]
"[Racer] aims to bring increased speed and range at the right cost, thanks to a simple, safe and proven aerodynamic formula," Guillaume Faury, Airbus Helicopters CEO, said in a statement.
The new helicopter could reach speeds of nearly 250 mph (400 km/h), thanks to new technology and an advanced aerodynamic design.
An "eco mode" will add to the helicopter's fuel efficiency. The option is still being tested by the engine manufacturer, but according to Airbus Helicopters, it would allow for an electrically powered "start and stop" of one engine in flight to save fuel and increase range. A low-weight body also adds to fuel efficiency and aerodynamics, according to Airbus.
Construction of a demonstration Racer craft is expected to begin in 2019, with initial flight tests planned for the following year.
Another aerospace advancement announced by Airbus this year is the Pop.Up, a "multimodal transportation concept." The futuristic passenger capsule concept could transform into different modes of transit, with attachable wheels for driving, propellers for flying or the ability to join a train-like transit system, such as the high-speed transit concept known as the Hyperloop.
Topgeheime X-Files over UFO’s eindelijk vrijgegeven.

A lot of people think there could be intelligent life out there somewhere

Hacktivist group Anonymous has released a YouTube video in which it claims NASA could soon announce the discovery of alien life.
Anonymous is known around the world for its work. In the past, it's taken on the likes of Isis, Donald Trump, and Westboro Baptist Church – the small American religious group that campaigns against homosexuality.
In it's latest video, Anonymous states that a NASA spokesperson called Professor Thomas Zurbuchen told a recent US Science, Space, and Technology committee meeting that extraterrestrial life could soon be proven.
What if there are two Donald Trumps?(Photo: Corbis)
"Our civilisation is on the verge of discovering evidence of alien life in the cosmos," Zurbuchen supposedly said.
"Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are searching for alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented discoveries in history."
Anonymous has also written about alien life on its website. It said: "The evidence sure seems to imply that something is going on in the skies above.
"It would cost a lot for spaceships and a continuous flow of taxes and black budget dollars could imply a rational that there is more than meets the eye and or that of public knowledge."
Obviously, this is speculation. At present, there's no evidence – at least none we know of – that proves the existence of alien life. But many think it's a possibility.
Last week, NASA discovered 219 new planets, ten of which are rocky planets possibly not all that dissimilar to Earth. Although these planets are in the solar system's 'Goldilocks Zon'e, which means they're too hot or cold to be habitable.
‘Flying saucers’ became a thing 70 years ago Saturday with sighting near Mount Rainier
Kenneth Arnold, shown in 1966 with a drawing of a flying saucer, reportedly spent “many long hours of fruitless flying with a camera, trying and failing to find anything like his saucers again.” (AP)
This image from a 1952 issue of Coronet Magazine shows an illustration depicting Kenneth Arnold’s sighting.
(Coronet Magazine)
Seventy years ago, Idaho pilot Kenneth Arnold saw something near Mount Rainier that brought the term “flying saucers” into the lexicon. It was the viral story of its day. What he saw remains a mystery.
Before June 24, 1947, terms such as UFOs and flying saucers had not entered popular vocabulary. Then, on that afternoon 70 years ago, it all changed because of Kenneth Arnold:
“Supersonic Flying Saucers Sighted by Idaho Pilot.”
Arnold reported seeing near Mount Rainier nine “circular-type” objects flying in formation at more than twice the speed of sound.
Arnold would pay the price for describing something so fantastic.
In a now-declassified document, the Air Force Materiel Command wrote it off: “The report cannot bear even superficial examination, therefore, must be disregarded.”
Another Air Force document concluded, “It is the Air Force conclusion that the objects of this sighting were due to a mirage.”
For Arnold, it stung.
He didn’t consider himself some kind of kook. He had over 4,000 hours of mountain high-altitude pilot time; he was in the Idaho search and rescue.
“I have been subjected to ridicule, much loss of time and money, newspaper notoriety, magazine stories, reflections on my honesty, my character, my business dealings,” Arnold wrote in his 1952 book, “Coming of the Saucers.”
He died in 1984 at age 68, and in all those years, and with me, he never wavered in his descriptions.
“I made my report because I thought it was my duty. It was the only proper and American thing to do. I saw what I saw,” he said.
You can draw a direct line between what Arnold repeatedly recounted in detail to FBI and military investigators and our collective fascination with the possibility that aliens have visited us.
It’s become so much a part of our culture that even the CIA website has a section titled “Take a Peek Into Our “X-Files” that is chock-full of declassified files.
The CIA helpfully lists “Top 5 CIA Documents Mulder Would Love To Get His Hands On,” and “Top 5 CIA Documents Scully Would Love To Get Her Hands On.”
Arnold was an unlikely candidate to become embroiled in such a controversy.
He lived in Meridian, Idaho, and sold fire-extinguishing equipment. About as unusual as his life got was that he piloted a small airplane to get to his clients around the Northwest.
A month after Arnold was in the news, a now-declassified report made in July 1947 by Army Air Force Counter-Intelligence Corps Officer Frank M. Brown said, “Mr. Arnold is a man of 32 years of age, being married and the father of two children … It is the personal opinion of the interviewer that Mr. Arnold actually saw what he saw … To go further, if Mr. Arnold can write a report of the character that he did while not having seen the objects that he claimed he saw, it is the opinion of the interviewer that Mr. Arnold is in the wrong business, that he should be writing Buck Rogers fiction.”
That was one of the few sympathetic portrayals in government documents of Arnold’s sighting.
The lieutenant wrote that Arnold “seems to be reasonably well balanced, although excitable, and has no apparent ulterior motive … other than to prove he is not ‘nuts.’ ”
The lieutenant wrote that Arnold revealed “an antagonistic attitude toward the Army” by stating, “Well, if the Army doesn’t know what they are, it sure ought to be trying to find out!”
Bright flash lit the sky
Arnold’s sighting of the craft was the 1947 version of a story going viral.
“It was a beautiful day. Just as clear as a bell,” Arnold said. He was flying from Chehalis to Yakima and decided to spend an hour or so searching for a downed C-46 Marine transport that had crashed into the southwest side of Mount Rainier.
There was a $5,000 reward for finding it.
It was at 3 p.m., he remembered, “when a very bright flash lit up the plane and the sky around me.”
At first, Arnold thought it was the sun reflecting off another plane.
“But the flash happened again, and that’s when I saw where it was coming from. It came spasmodically from a chain of nine circular-type aircraft way up from the vicinity of Mount Rainier,” said Arnold.
“… I could not find any tails on these things. They didn’t leave a jet trail behind them. I judged their size to be at least 100 feet in widespan. I thought it was a new type of missile.”
His plane had a big sweep 24-hour clock on the instrument panel. Arnold measured that the craft covered the distance between Mount Rainier and Mount Adams in 1 minute 42 seconds.
“That figured out to something like 1,760 miles an hour, which I could hardly believe. I knew that figure couldn’t be entirely accurate, but I’d say it was within a couple of hundred miles accurate,” he said.
He ended up talking to reporter Bill Bequette, who, in subsequent years, remembered that Arnold “came off as honest, level headed and credible,” said a story in the East Oregonian.
So Bequette wrote a brief story about what Arnold said he witnessed.
But the brief also went out to The Associated Press, got picked up by numerous newspapers, and the furor began. For the first time, a mass-media story and subsequent headlines used the term, “flying saucers.”
There were no reported riches for Arnold because of his notoriety. Instead, he complained to Frank Brown, the Air Force investigator, “that his business had suffered greatly … at every stop in his business routes, large groups of people were waiting to question him …”
Brown concluded his report, “Mr. Arnold stated further that if he, at any time in the future, saw anything in the sky, to quote Mr. Arnold … ‘If I ever saw a ten story building flying through the air I would never say a word about it,’ due to the fact that he has been ridiculed by the press to such an extent that he is practically a moron in the eye of the majority of the population of the United States.”
A mystery to this day
Despite that statement to Brown, in the coming years Arnold was driven to prove he was right.
There were “many long hours of fruitless flying with a camera, trying and failing to find anything like his saucers again,” says Martin Shough, a well-regarded researcher of the UFO phenomena who has written a detailed analysis of Arnold’s account.
In an email, Shough, who lives in the Highlands of Scotland, says, “I am resigned to never knowing what Arnold saw.”
He concludes, “Seventy years on, when so much of the flying saucer mythology that Kenneth Arnold triggered has been explained away, it is somewhat embarrassing that Arnold’s own sighting remains obstinately resistant.
According to Former Canadian Minister of Defense, not only are governments around the globe COVERING up evidence that aliens exist, there are 80 Alien species that have been visited our planet since time immemorial.
Former Canadian Minister of Defense Paul Hellyer stated that media around the globe has avoided touching the UFO/Extraterrestrial subject.
Paul Hellyer is just one of the many ex-officials, including former NASA employees, military officers, or scientists who have come forward in the last years claiming to have seen proof of Alien visitations to Earth.
Paul Hellyer was the Canadian Minister of National Defense in the 1960 and is responsible for combining the Canadian Air Force, Navy, and Army into what is known today as the Canadian Forces.
Interestingly, he is yet another highly ranked government official who has come forward speaking out about Alien visitations on Earth.
Soon after he retired, Mr. Hellyer joined the disclosure movement and began ‘blowing the whistle’ on UFO’s and extraterrestrial beings.
Interestingly, his testimony is BACKED UP by hundreds of different highly ranking military official political leaders around the globe. However, in addition to that, everything Mr. Hellyer has talked about in the past has been backed up by countless declassified documents which detailedly describe aliens and their space vehicles.

Paul Hellyer and the no-entry signs at Area 51.
During one speech, Mr. Hellyer recalls the following:
” In one of the cases during the cold war, 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying South from Russia across Europe. The supreme allied commander was very concerned and was about ready to press the panic button when they turned around and went back to the North Pole. They decided to do an investigation, and they investigated for three years, and they decided that with absolute certainty that four different species, at least, have been visiting this planet for thousands of years. There’s been a lot more activity in the past two decades, especially since we invented the atomic bomb. They are very concerned about that and if we will use it again because the whole cosmos is a unity and it affects not just us but other people in the cosmos. They’re very much afraid that we might start using atomic weapons again, and this would be dangerous for us, and them also.” – Paul Hellyer
“Many are benign and benevolent, and a few are not. They come from various places, for a long while I only knew about ones that came from different star systems, the Pleiades. There are extraterrestrials that come from Andromeda, and ones that live on one of Saturn’s moons. There is a federation of these people, and they have rules, one of them is that they don’t interfere with our affairs unless they are invited. They have accepted the fact that this is our planet, and we have the right to run it, but they are very concerned, they don’t think that we are good stewards of our planet. We are ruining our planet, we’re doing all sorts of things that we shouldn’t be doing, and they don’t like that. They’ve made it clear, and they have given us a warning.” – Paul Hellyer
“Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about the direction we were heading and offered to help. Instead, some of us interpreted their visits as a threat and decided to shoot first and ask questions after. It is ironic that the US should be fighting monstrously expensive wars, allegedly to bring democracy to those countries, when it itself can no longer claim to be called a democracy when trillions, and I mean thousands of billions of dollars have been spent on black projects which both congress and the commander in chief have been kept deliberately in the dark.” – Paul Hellyer
In an interview with CTV, Mr. Hellyer said that:
“Much of the media won’t touch it. “So you just have to keep working away and hope that someday you get a critical mass, and they will say, in one way or another, ‘Mr. President or Mr. Prime Minister, we want the truth, and we want it now because it affects our lives.”

Paul Hellyer said the dying official confirmed he was shown inside alien technology at Area 51.
Around 80 different species of extraterrestrial beings are visiting our planet. Mr. Hellyer claims that most of the alien visitors are harmless, but some of them have ulterior goals.
They flew him to Area 51 and let him go inside one and observe it and make notes and this sort of thing.

During an interview with Russian television, Mr. Hellyer said that some of the Aliens “look just like us, and they could walk down the street, and you wouldn’t know if you walked past one.”
UFO allegedly crashed into Berwyn Mountains in January, 1974
On January 23, 1974, people reported hearing a huge bang, felt earth tremors and saw a brilliant light in the sky above the Berwyn Mountains. Families in the villages of Llandderfel and Llandrillo were settling down to watch TV when an explosion was heard and the ground shook. It measured 3.5 on the Richter scale. As people ran from their homes fearing another tremor, they saw a blaze of light on the mountainside.
A nurse who believed an aircraft had crashed drove to the site and saw a pulsating orange and red glow on the hillside and other lights.
Police converged on the area and emergency services were put on standby. Although searches were undertaken, officially nothing was found – leading to claims of a cover-up.
In the four decades since there has been a huge debate as to what exactly happened that night, with TV documentaries made and books written on the subject.
Some researchers have claimed a UFO crashed, with further claims “bodies” were retrieved and taken away by soldiers. Other theories suggest it was a meteor shower combined with an earthquake – the epicentre of which was at Bala Lake – and the misperception of poachers on the hillside carrying lamps.
Over the years more information has surfaced which has added to the enigma. In 2008 the Daily Post acquired official documents showing how Gwynedd Police were bombarded with calls and eye witness accounts of the strange event, with some convinced they had seen a UFO. They gave a fascinating insight into what was going on that night.
Did aliens crash into Berwyn Mountains?
Gwynedd Police Constabulary Major Incident Log – explosion – 21.10pm PC receiving 999 calls of UFO.
A witness who saw an object on the hillside said in a statement: “Saw bright red light, like coal fire red. Large perfect circle. Like a big bonfire. Could see lights above and to the right and white lights moving to bottom. Light changed colour to yellowish white and back again.”
A message in a police log said: “There’s been a large explosion in the area and there is a large fire in the mountainside. I can see the fire where I am.”
Telex message to chief constable Gwynedd constabulary. 22.00pm approx 23/1/74: Saw bright green lights, object with tail – travelling west. Saw about Bangor direction – dropped down.
At approx 10pm on 23/1/74: Saw a circular light in the sky at an estimated height of 1,500 feet. This object exploded and pieces fell to the ground. Mr ...... estimates the pieces would have fallen into the sea between Rhyl and Liverpool.
In 2010 key witness, retired nurse Pat Evans, insisted she saw something strange on the mountainside. At the time she said: “It (the object) couldn’t have got there any other way apart from being flown there, so it had to be a UFO of some sort. I’m talking about something that could only have got there by flying and landing.”
Ms Evans, who was living in Llandderfel, near Bala, added: “We just saw this huge ball glowing and pulsating on the mountain. Some lights seemed to be scattered around it and I just wish we’d stayed to see what the end result was – whether it would just disappear or fly away.
“We didn’t see anybody on the road even though there were various reports that we were told to go away by armed police and military etc, which was all totally untrue.
“We’d heard an almighty bang and we live at the foot of the mountain. I thought it might have been a plane crash. Me being a nurse and my girls being in St John (Ambulance), I thought we could help.”
She told how the object glowed orange, red and yellow and was “moon like, but without windows or doors”. Mrs Evans added: “I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. I have no idea what it was.”
A document from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency revealed a military operation, codenamed Photoflash, was scheduled for that evening. It involved about 10 military aircraft and a series of powerful flashes across the North Wales coast and Liverpool Bay.
The MCA letter said: “During the late afternoon and early evening of 23rd January 1974 there was an exercise from Jerby Range on the Isle of Man. The exercise was called ‘Photoflash’ and coastguards were advised to expect at least 10 aircraft taking part and at least 80 flashes around the Liverpool Bay area and the North Wales coastline.”
There was no more information from official sources on that specific exercise and if it was connected to Berwyn. A spokesman at the RAF Museum Research Department suggested photoflash operations were used for training exercises to illuminate the ground below.
UFO researcher Russ Kellett
But the mystery still remains. Researcher Russ Kellett still believes the answer is out there: “I have been researching this for years and I am convinced there was more than one UFO involved that night,” he said. “All the evidence that we have uncovered over the years has consistently pointed that way.”
The world's first hoverbike is officially for sale

The Event Is Coming Soon - The World’s First Hoverbike is Ready to Ride
byPaul Seaburn
Start saving your bitcoins (or whatever it is you do to accumulate a sizeable pile of them). If your bucket list includes being the first on your block to own an operational and really cool hoverbike, your wait is over. The Russian startup company Hoversurf announced it has achieved its goal of … Making flying as easy as riding a bike. OK, a really dangerous bike, but that’s why you want one, right? The Scorpion-3 was unveiled this week by Hoversurf in a warehouse at its headquarters in San Francisco. The company – whose motto is “Aim high” (with an implied “Kids, don’t try this at home”) – began as a manufacturer of heavy-lift cargo drones with carrying capacities ranging from 90 to 2,500 kg. (198 to 5511 lbs.). That should be good news for the ‘bigger biker’, right?
Not quite. While based on the same platform as the cargo drones, the Scorpion-3 has a weight limit of 266 pounds of “amateur and professional navigators.” That’s a code phrase for ‘extreme sports enthusiasts’ and other adrenaline addicts who can ride a fast bike AND deal with it being 33 feet (10 meters) off the ground – the current restricted altitude limit.
Well, “fast” is relative – the top speed of the Scorpion-3 is currently restricted to 33 mph (53 kmph) but that undoubtedly seems a lot faster when flying. Hoversurf says its engineers used a standard motorbike design to make it easy for riders with cycle experience to handle the Scorpion-3. For lift and thrust, an electric motor powers the quadcopter propellers taken from the drone platform and can reportedly keep the Scorpion-3 aloft for 27 minutes – more than enough time to generate enough excitement to require a change of pants.
While most people are clinched into a worldwide debate about aliens, discussing UFO sightings in space, on Earth, and the sheer number of whistleblowers who have come forward saying that we aren’t alone in the universe, the FBI has a very interesting document posted on their website.
The declassified document states that not only have we’ve been visited by ET, apparently we’ve been visited by “beings from other dimensions.”
However, it is noteworthy to mention that the document itself DID NOT ORIGINATE within the FBI. The document –which is an extract from a 69-page document called ufo1.pdf— was written by a former university head.
Nevertheless, the document was treated with great importance by the FBI, which is something I find VERY interesting.
A rewritten copy of the report can be found below. (NOTE) some words in the original text are illegible due to the numerous notations and stamps.
The document, which was received on July 8, 1947, states:
This memorandum is respectfully addressed to certain scientists of distinction, to important aeronautical and military authorities, to a number of public officials and to a few publications. The writer has little expectation that anything of import will be accomplished by this gesture. The mere fact that the data here-in were obtained by so-called supernormal means is probably sufficient to ensure its disregard by nearly all the persons addressed: nevertheless it seems a public duty to make it available. (The present writer has several university degrees and was formerly a university department head).
A very serious situation may develop at any time with regard to the “flying saucers”. If one of these should be attacked, the attacking plane will almost certainly be destroyed. In the public mind, this might create near panic and international suspicion. The principal data concerning these craft is now at hand and must be offered, no matter how fantastic and unintelligible it may seem to minds not previously instructed in thinking of this type.
Part of the disks carry crews, others are under remote control.Their mission is peaceful. The visitors contemplate settling on this plane.
These visitors are human-like but much larger in size.
They are not excarnate Earth people but come from their own world.
They do NOT come from a planet as we use the word, but from an etheric planet which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us.
The bodies of the visitors, and the craft, automatically materialize on entering the vibratory rate of our dense matter.
The disks possess a type of radiant energy or a ray, which will easily disintegrate any attacking ship. They reenter the etheric at will, and so simply disappear from our vision, without a trace.
The region from which they come is not the “astral plane”, but corresponds to the Lokas or Talas. Students of esoteric matters will understand these terms.
They probably cannot be reached by radio, but probably can be by radar. if a signal system can be devised for that apparatus.
We give information and warning and can do no more. Let the newcomers be treated with every kindness. Unless the disks are with-(illegible) a (illegible, illegible) with which our culture and science are incapable of dealing. A heavy responsibility rests upon the few in authority who are able to understand this matter.
This incredibly creative ad from Gatorade uses a “liquid printer” and precision-timed strobe photography to create a stop-motion athlete from drops of water. What’s more, it was created entirely in-camera, according to the company.
The video starts off with a human figure being pumped out of a water printer. Okay, that’s pretty cool, but water printers are nothing new. But then the figure jogs over to a box and starts doing box jumps, with water splashing as its feet hit the box.
The figure stands and starts kicking a punching bag, which recoils with each strike. The ad would be pretty impressive on its own, but Gatorade says that the entire thing was created in-camera.
The water printer itself comprises over 20,000 parts, and took over 5,000 man hours to construct. The printer they built had 2,048 individual nozzles, which turned on and off within 2 milliseconds. The strobes were then set to freeze the droplets mid-air. James Medcraft, the project’s director of photography explains:
We’re using the flash to freeze the water droplets at a very precise moment in space, and we’re having to do that with millimetre and microsecond accuracy.
To create the motion, the nozzles were driven by motion capture data of a real athlete who ran, jumped, and kicked while wearing sensors. The water rig would then drop a frame-by-frame animation, which was frozen with each flash.
The result is the very impressive ad, that you can watch in full at the top. The one thing we can’t figure out – how did they create the punching bag scene without CGI?
Gatorade has shared a behind the scenes video, which you can watch below. How do you think they did it?
Google Earth images revealed the presence of what looks like an enormous staircase in Antarctica. Who’s responsible, aliens or giants?
A heated debate is ongoing on many conspiracy forums, fueled by the recent discovery of what many claim is evidence of an ancient and unexplained presence on Earth. Many claim the structure that looks like a giant staircase leading up the side of a massive mountain in Antarctica might be the work of ancient aliens and could be the remnant of a structure that was once used as a landing spot for UFOs
The user credited with discovering the unusual structure said he began looking for clues about ancient civilizations in Antarctica after taking part in a debate about prominent personalities’ recent visits to the frozen continent. Recently, Antarctica was toured by former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and weirdly, Russian Patriarch Kirill.
UFO hunters have claimed that the U.S. Government is aware of the existence of an extensive network of ancient ruins buried under the Antarctic ice, ruins which hold alien technology left behind by alien visitors. As a result, the NASA astronaut was sent to investigate whether the extraterrestrial ships that might still be there were similar in nature to the ones he saw when he was on the Moon.
The same UFO enthusiasts speculated that John Kerry’s mission to Antarctica served the same purpose. Why a Russian religious leader would be delegated on a similar mission remains a mystery.
THIS MORNING, IN THE WORK VAN, WE WERE TALKING ABOUT CONSPIRACIES… SO I PULLED OUT GOOGLE EARTH [AND] CAME ACROSS SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE A GIANT STAIRCASE.”
While some have proposed the alleged staircase is actually the result of a topographic glitch in the satellite imagery, many remain convinced this could be the remains of an ancient marker leading UFOs to a landing spot. They claim that in ancient times, it could have been equipped with some kind of navigational beacon to direct the extraterrestrial flying machines to their destination.
The following comments paint a clear picture about what people think about this recent discovery:
“It’s more likely a landing site than stairs.”
“It does look like stairs – maybe on a pyramid structure?”
“I attribute it to fallen angels and Nephilim… high-tech demonic activity.”
“I’m not an alien believer but I do believe we’ve been all over this planet many times in our past.”
It’s no secret that conspiracy communities have long held the belief that pyramids and step structures served a different role than the one attributed to them by archaeologists and historians. Proponents of alternative history are convinced aliens with advanced technology visited earth in the distant past and oversaw the construction of landing pads and beacons. They imparted their knowledge to the people of ancient Sumer and Egypt, as well as to cultures in South America. Over time, the real purpose of these wrongfully-called monuments has been lost and our connection with the aliens now lies dormant under thick layers of dust or vegetation. But there could be another explanation behind this controversial structure: the equally-controversial builders of many other megalithic structures, the ancient giants.
The sons of the Nephilim possessed great strength, intelligence and they had a pride to match their size. Many ancient structures are credited to these proficient builders and the staircase in Antarctica could be one of them.
The recent discovery of the staircase comes just weeks after another unexplained ruin was found hidden under Antartic Snow
If there are pyramids in Antarctica, it stands to reason that our understanding of Earth’s history is incomplete at best.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the history of mass extinctions, rogue asteroids are not good for the planet. That’s why the latest news from the Kuiper asteroid belt is disconcerting at best, apocalyptically frightening at worst. A group of astronomers has uncovered evidence that a warp in this asteroid belt beyond Neptune is being caused by a mysterious small planet hiding inside it. Is this Planet X? Planet 10? Planet 9? Will we decide on a name before it wipes us out?
“The most likely explanation for our results is that there is some unseen mass. According to our calculations, something as massive as Mars would be needed to cause the warp that we measured.”
According to their new report in the Astronomical Journal, scientists Kat Volk and Renu Malhotra from the University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory have discovered a strange warp in the solar system’s plane. While the planets and most other space objects orbiting the sun are predictably planar, things can get unpredictable at 55 astronomical units (55 AU is 55 times the distance of Earth from the sun) in the area filled with Kuiper Belt Objects. Volk and Malhotra say they’ve found a section that has an 8 degree tilt away from where models say it should be. That can mean only one thing.
No, not aliens. The Kuiper Belt is being warped by an object large enough to have a belt-bending gravitational pull. Volk and Malhotra determined that a tilt away from the norm of that magnitude could be caused by an object whose mass is somewhere between that of Mars and Earth, making it a planet. Is it Planet X, Dr, Volk?
“The observed distant KBOs are concentrated in a ring about 30 AU wide and would feel the gravity of such a planetary mass object over time, so hypothesizing one planetary mass to cause the observed warp is not unreasonable across that distance.”
Volk prefers to refer to the warp-inducer as a “planetary mass object” for now and casts doubt on it being the rumored Planet X because it’s too close to the sun – Planet X, if it exists, is predicted to be more like 500 to 700 AU from the center of the solar system. If it’s not Planet X but it’s at least the size of Mars, why hasn’t any telescope picked it up?
“The chance that we have not found such an object of the right brightness and distance simply because of the limitations of the surveys is estimated to be to about 30 percent.”
A Kuiper Belt Object
In other words, it’s possibly in front of a dense cluster of stars whose brightness overwhelms it, causing astronomers using today’s telescopes to simply avoid wasting their time (and burning their retinas) staring at the spot. That could change with new data from the Outer Solar System Origins Survey, which is tracking and recording the thousands of objects beyond Neptune. Or it could be seen by the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope which is scheduled to be operational in 2020.
Will that be enough time to protect us from rogue asteroids knocked towards us by this belt-warping new planet with no name?
You know, our catchphrase used to be “people really believe this stuff” and I’m always amazed at how many times one individual can be caught promoting outrageous hoaxes and still keep on doing it with many falling his absurd claims over and over again. They so wish to believe that there was alien (non-human) influence in Latin American history. It’s just bizarre. The latest is an incredibly fake-looking “alien mummy” said to have been found in Peru.
Screen shot of alien from video. No other documentation is currently available.
The “mummy” has the proportions of a human – two arms, two legs – with various strange features including an elongated head with three-fingers on both hands and feet. The body is covered in a white “dust” that the investigators say dried the body but to the more down-to-earth observers, looks like plaster. Gaia released a video featuring “scientists” examining the body with a camera crew. This is the only documentation of the body. The crew includes infamous UFO promoter Jaime Maussan who, without confirmation of this being real or not (and, let’s face it, he is SO EASILY duped), called it “one of the most important discoveries of the 21st century.” Maussan, who is labeled as a “well-respected” journalist has lost all his credibility over his years of promoting ridiculous hoaxes as genuine.
Red flags for this discovery include:
Maussan being involved
The obvious plaster appearance of the mummy
The reveal by Special Report “Unearthing Nazca” by Gaia with no sign of reputable scientific expertise
A closed team of researchers with alternative views that go against the scientific mainstream
No scientific results confirmed or retested because it has not been made available to anyone else
No documentation of location, context, or discovery
Promotion of it being a fantastic discovery that will “change everything”
Not published in a scientific publication
The specimen is said to have been tested to reveal an age of 245-410 AD, not an unreasonable age for an actual mummy. The method of testing is not made available. The specimens are not available for examination. There is no expert in preserved Peruvian mummies on the research team. The three-fingered hand configuration is nowhere to be found in nature but we have seen it on another Peruvian hoaxed item that follows the same non-documented path to promotion. Remember the “alien claw”? It has a similar plaster-like coating. The researchers also link the three fingers to petroglyphs that show three-fingered humanoids. I suspect that this is a stylistic feature and am waiting for actual experts to weigh in (if they even care to comment on such a sloppy, pathetic sensational display).
Cat scan of the body. From screen capture.
Xray of the skull. From screen capture
There have been other hoaxed “mummies” and preserved aliens or creatures revealed as faked. It is easily conceivable that this is a carefully (or not so carefully) crafted, even a manipulated real skeleton or other remains (like many fake mermaids). See the Metabunk post on this for ideas about the three-fingered appendages.
If we’re talking “alien” and “hoax” body or evidence, it’s not surprising that Jaime Maussan is around. The past hoaxes Maussan was involved in promoting include:
Back in 2016, Biblical scholar Dr. Michael Hiser said: “Jaime Maussan should not be trusted. Ever. He is a serial fraud-perpetuator.”
What we have here is a group of folks with an unconventional agenda promoting a questionable artifact that they wish to use to alter public perception of human history. But one artifact that you keep to yourself and that for all intents and purposes screams FAKE will not do that. So far this story has not received mainstream press but give it a few more days. The tabloids will regurgitate this unconfirmed, highly dubious evidence word for unverified word with lots of gusto and zero skepticism.

Russia’s Concerns Of a New Planet Entering Our Solar System: Confirms US Scientist
A recent new appendix added earlier today to the massive Aerospace Defence Forces (ADF) report relating to the mysterious new planet confirmed to be the outer reaches of our solar system says that an American scientist has confirmed many of its findings and further stated that our Earth is now under direct threat as this celestial body could begin to harm our Earth this month.
As U.I.P had previously reported about (something is caught coming out of a black hole), the ADF has become increasingly “alarmed” at the threat this ‘apparent’ mysterious new planet poses to Earth from the time it was first discovered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 2005 to the final confirmation of its existence by California Institute of Technology (Caltech) scientists in January.
As to where this mysterious new planet comes from (and this is only the 3rd “true planet” ever discovered since ancient times), ADF scientists in this report state, is from the center of our own Milky Way Galaxy—and has been on an orbital path towards us for nearly 5 billion years.
The evidence supporting this ADF claim, this report continues, was confirmed this past November (2015) when NASA “looked” nearly 5 billion years into the past with their telescopes, including the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), and observed the impossible, something which had never happened before—a massive object ejecting itself from the supermassive black hole at the centre of our galaxy— having so much energy NASA scientists can only compare it to the total energy that is emitted by the entire galaxy!
Adding to Russia’s fears about this mysterious planet was the secret NASA information about it supplied to Federation authorities by NASA computer expert Lloyd Albright (in 1999) and US astronaut and Navy Captain Lisa Nowak (in 2007) that was so fearful Albright hid himself in cave and Nowak told her Russian interviewers “they won’t tell anyone the truth” and “I’ve never believed the Bible, but now I have to”
The new appendix added recently, this report states that it comes from a Daniel Whitmire, PhD, who is a retired Professor of Physics from the University of Louisiana, who in a scientific paper written for Oxford University’s Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society claims that this mysterious planet, he calls by the ancient Sumerian name of Nibiru, has “all but arrived to our neck of the woods” and that the destruction brought about by its “gravitational trickery” will take place this month, as it’s done numerous times before, every time it passed us by.
Doctor-scientist Whitmire and his colleague, John Matese, first published research on the connection between this mysterious planet and mass extinctions on Earth in the journal Nature in 1985, this report continues, and which, this past January, Caltech researchers estimated its size as being about 10 times the mass of Earth.
Is there SOMETHING Heading towards us!
However, this report notes, though both Doctor-scientist Whitmire and Caltech researchers agree that this mysterious new planet now exists in our solar system, they disagree on its present orbit. It can also not yet be confirmed if any such planet was actually fired from the
ADF scientists in their report though note that the “orbital mechanics” of this mysterious planet are less to be considered then the “electromagnetically caused chaos” it will represent in our solar system—which on Earth, they say, could be manifested in violent and increasing earthquakes, massive volcanic explosions, and weather disasters caused by changes (increase/decrease of sun spots) to our Sun, not to mention the hundreds, if not thousands, of asteroids that could impact Earth.
It is important to note, this report appendix concludes, is that unlike Western scientists who adhere to the non-proven gravitational theory of our universe, Russian scientists ascribe to the electrical theory creating for these two bodies of experts an “incompatible gulf” of knowledge that cannot ever be bridged.
What with the age of Planet Earth being generally accepted to be around 4.54 billion years old, with an error range of up to about 50 million years, this report says, this mysterious object ejected from the center of our galaxy could very well now have not only entered into our solar system, but is more than likely to be the new planet Caltech has recently announced their discovery of.
But not totally to science do ADF scientists make this astonishing supposition, but rather to ancient myths—especially since this mysterious new planet originated from the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy in Sagittarius A* near of the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius.
Unlike Western scientists who discard the ancient knowledge of our world, Russian scientists examine these ancient myths to find, if any, their connections to modern discoveries—which in this particular case, as this report details, leads them to the oldest such stories of our world regarding Sagittarius—which the Babylonians identified as the god Nergal, a strange centaur-like creature firing an arrow from a bow portrayed in hymns and myths as a god of war and pestilence and the deity who presides over the netherworld and of whom the Hebrew Bible warned about.
And in its rather frightening conclusion, ADF scientists note that in the world’s oldest creation epic, the Babylonian Enûma Eliš (Enuma Elish), that the more familiar Book of Genesis is based on, both the Earth and its “destroyer” (the newly discovered planet believed ejected from the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy) were “born” at the same time—but will meet in the last days when the final judgment will come—and as most widely known from the Bible’s Book of Revelation that warns:
“The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters. The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. The fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way.”
No matter what is said, something huge is lurking out there, and whether all these stories/science facts are a coincidence or not, there is certainly some rather intense conversations being held around the planet now by some of the worlds leading Scientist’s and Astronomers!

U.I.P SUMMARY
Planet X/Nibiru could very well indeed be a very true story, something which has been mocked for a very long time now. The mysteries of a hidden Planet in our solar system appears to be no longer a myth and something that even NASA has confirmed is true (http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/news/2016/01/21/caltech-researchers-find-evidence-of-a-real-ninth-planet). It has even recently been denied by NASA that this supposed ninth planet is NOT interfering with their Cassini space craft, which is currently circling around Planet Saturn!
Perhaps, just perhaps, the Ancient civilisations here on Earth were right about this hidden Planet X.

Here’s to you, a story that made me sleepless for couple of days, the answer to all of your questions about your existence, your origins and even the future to come.
As I will walk you trough some of the facts I want to make sure that this doesn’t seem to you another conspiracy theory. All the information provided here are a result of one of the biggest archaeological discoveries of the century and couple of decades spent on translations and linguistic research.
It all started 50 years ago when the archaeologist and author Zecharia Sitchin started translating 20,000 years old Sumerian tablets entitled “Autobiography of Enki”.
Since there weren’t any Sumerian translators at the time, it took him more than 20 years of research to understand the complex Sumerian language.
As Zecharia started understanding the letters and sentences, he found that the tablets he was translating were an autobiography of an extraterrestrial from a planet called Niburu who led a scientific expedition on earth in search for gold before homo sapiens even existed!
The extraterrestrial’s name is Enki and the picture below shows a portrait of him.
In Enki’s autobiography, he explains how he was sent on planet earth along with 20 other astronauts and his wife in search for the only material that could save their planet from global warming; gold! For them, the gold was so valuable because once spread in their atmosphere in a form of dust it protected them from ultraviolet radiation which was making life on Nibiru very difficult.
Finding more gold was the only solution for saving Nibiru but one of the biggest problems they faced was actually excavating and refining the gold since most of the astronauts from Nibiru have never done physical labor before.
After years of work, Enki and his team have managed to excavate a very small amount of gold which wasn’t even closely enough to save Nibiru’s atmosphere. That’s when Enki got the idea to elevate the Homo Erectus species he found on earth by mixing it’s DNA with theirs. Since his wife Ninhursag was a doctor and a scientist he gave her the mission to create what we know today to be an ” intellectual human being”.
