The Philadelphia Teleportation and Time Travel Experiments - Al Bielek & Vladimir Terziski

In 1942 Nikola Tesla, director of the Philadelphia Experiment since 1934, deliberately sabotaged a Navy project for invisibility for use on warships because he couldn't bear the burden of the loss of life it would bring. They proved by 1940 they could produce invisibility. He really did care about humanity more than himself. I love studying the life of Tesla. I learn something new every day. Project Rainbow and others.. Not myth. Here is a man who was there speaking about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA_FEyxekOc&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The Filer Research Institute feels the scientific study of UFOs is for the benefit of humankind and is an important endeavor. The weekly intelligence report provides you with information on the latest sightings and UFO news that you need to understand the world situation and to help the unawakened. The Institute now provides advanced research and consultation on a wide range of subjects and help for CEO’s to successfully run their companies.

In special reports, this week’s files cover: Colonel Jesse Marcel Jr.’s Life on Earth Has Ended, Lord Hill Norton says- ETs Are Visiting Earth, Explanations of Crop Formations,

New Jersey Sun’s Flames, Astronaut Chris Cassidy Saw UFO, Orb Sighted in Home,

Fukushima Hot Spots, US Response to Syria’s Chemical Attack, and US Response to Syria’s Chemical Attack, and Search for Asteroids.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington.

Sightings of UFOs were also reported in: Bolivia, Canada, France, Mumbai, Puerto Rico, Spain, and England in the United Kingdom.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research.

I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

Special Reports

Doctor and Colonel Jesse Marcel Jr.’s Life on Earth Has Ended

It is with a sad heart that I have to break this bad news to the world. At the age of 76 my Dad, Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr.’s life on earth has ended on August 25, 2013. He was alone and apparently had a heart attack. Although it is a very sad time for our entire family I am happy to know that he lived an eventful life. I am so proud to be his daughter. He had taught me so many things in life and one of the more important things I learned from my Dad was to never back down in the face of adversity. Thanks to Michael Reiche writes, “Jesse was a giant to many of us, a modest man whose father, Major Jesse Marcel, Sr., was the Roswell Army Air Field base Intelligence officer, the first to reach and examine the Roswell crash debris field. Jesse never once backed down in his all-too-credible account of his father's showing him debris from the crash, and always honored and defended his father's honor, credibility and memory.” Thanks to Peter Robbins

Editor’s Note: My wife and I had lunch with Jesse at the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure in Washington DC at the National Press Club on May 2, 2013. He told me he was very proud of his father who was an exceptionally honorable man and had brought home extraterrestrial debris from a crashed UFO in July of 1947, for his Mother and him to see. He had held the metal pieces in his hand and they all knew the material was not from Earth based on the hieroglyphics, light weight, and strength of the metal.

He told me about his serving in 18 months Iraq as an Army Colonel as a medical doctor flight surgeon, and his frequent flights in the 189th Attack Helicopter Battalion flying 225 hours of combat. He seemed full of life and proud of his accomplishments and was positive the government had chosen to keep alien visitation a secret.

Jesse Marcel Jr. is a retired, full-bird Colonel, who spent 38 years serving his country with honor and loyalty but assured me he personally held part of an alien UFO. Marcel attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine at New Orleans, graduating in July of 1961, earning a degree in medicine. He became a specialist in ear, nose and throat medicine. During his career in the National Guard, he was appointed State Surgeon of the State of Montana and retired from the military a second time in August of 1996 on his 60th birthday. The Iraqi war required him to be called back to active duty in October of 2004 shortly after his 68th birthday for an 18 month tour in Iraq.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Jesse Jr., Michael, John, Marissa, Mackenzie, Aimee, Ashley and Mark and all of his grandchildren. Although Jessie and his father are no longer with us,
the Roswell Legacy will live on FOREVER and I will always miss him!

Lord Hill Norton says- Extraterrestrial Vehicles and Their Crews Are Visiting Earth

Chief of Defense Staff, Ministry of Defense, Great Britain, 1973; Chairman, Military Committee of NATO, 1974-77;

I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth. I feel that we need to have a top level, coordinated program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over the earth concerning any type of encounter, and to determine how best to interface with these visitors in a friendly fashion.... For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists and astronauts. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us. And there are thousands of witness reports and a quantity of documents to prove this, but nobody wants to make them public.” Quoted from his foreword of one of my favorite books; “Above Top Secret” by Timothy Good, Morrow & Co's Quill Books, 1988.

Explanations of Crop Formations in relation to Microwaves

Tom Sutter writes, “Microwaves are created within a device we call a magnetron. Don't let that complicated sounding name intimidate you. A magnitron is a simple, straightforward device. It forces electrons to go from a negative terminal to a positive terminal whilst passing through a magnetic field.” ‘When electrons encounter magnetic line of force, they rotate (spin) around that line of force before proceeding toward the positive terminal that they are traveling to. That electron/magnetic interaction results in the creation of microwave energies.

WHY would advanced societies bother to show us how a magnetron works since we already know about it? I'll tell you why. It is because of an overlooked-by-us usage of microwave energies. At a specific frequency at about 27 GHZ - Microwaves 'shake-up' a water molecule to the point where that molecule splits into its constituent parts. Namely, hydrogen and oxygen.

Whereupon, at that high rate of agitation, they promptly rejoin once again to form the water molecule that was just split. And guess what? - the process repeats! Because the 3.3 volts of electrical energy emitted when the hydrogen and oxygen atoms combine is raised via the incorporation of a circuitry consisting of huge capacitors and diodes and then fed back into the magnetron's central mesh of high temperature, non magnetic, insulated wires, where the hydrogen/oxygen are combining/splitting.

Bluntly, they are telling us that our primary means of creating needed energies namely oil, isn’t quite the way :-) Thanks to Tom Sutter http://www.informantnews.com/crop/

New Jersey Sun’s Flames

Burlington -- The photo was taken August 20, 2013, at sunset. A quiet evening was broken by banging on Barb’s

door. Dona yelled, "Come out, come out. The suns on fire bring your camera." And there it was. The most amazing sight I have ever seen. It appeared as if "flames" were jumping off the sun. Barb took photo with her Olympus camera. The neighborhood knows of that smoke stack but has never seen this effect before.

Engineers at Verizon have told me they expect to lose more satellites due to severe solar storms over the next 16 months. They've already lost two satellites so far this year. A meeting a year and half ago in Brussels reported that tidal waves are expected to migrate inland for some five miles from current levels! Thanks to Frank Chille.

Note: A large solar eruption, known as a coronal mass ejection (CME), occurred at 4:24 a.m. EDT October 20, and blasted billions of tons of solar particles toward Earth at 2 million mph that may have been captured. Perhaps the chimney released heat that caused the sun to shimmer.

Astronaut Chris Cassidy Saw UFO

"On Monday morning, on August 19, 2013, some 220 miles above the Earth, NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy looked out the window to see a mysterious object drifting by.

Cassidy reached out to Mission Control about the strange item, which was drifting lazily in the emptiness of space." Astronaut Chris Cassidy looked out the window of the International Space Station and saw a mysterious object drifting by. Cassidy immediately reached out to Mission Control: “Houston, we`ve got a UFO!”

The UFO has been identified by Russian flight controllers as an antenna cover from the Zvezda service module. Yep, even solid citizens see UFO`s, but there`s always a rational and sometimes mundane explanation. Snip

Orb Sighted in Home

Houston -- Charlette writes, “I read your emails and I decided to share a story about something that happened to me, which is different than most UFO reports. At 9:30 pm, two days after hurricane Ike hit Texas in 08. I think Ike hit on Sept 12th and this happened on the14th.” Well, to the story, I went to my daughter’s house a day after the storm when we lost power. At 9 pm everyone went to bed and I slept on an air mattress on the floor. She had just had her first baby in August and this would be the first time my granddaughter and I were under the same roof at the same time. By 9:30 everyone was asleep and out of thin air this round black rubix cube appeared, divided like how the ley lines are laid out over the Earth.

It was about 6 to 8 inches round and was about 6 feet off the ground, illuminating an inch around it. There was a very dim light in the center of each of 4 or 5 sections. I was excited about seeing it, but truly blown away that something like that would appear in front of me. My intensions were to get up and go to it and look more for another light source that could be creating it. It did not look holographic, it looked solid, like it could have been a toy.

I lay down on the sofa and woke up the next morning. Now, I can just fathom the thought of something that could break down the molecular structure of matter in such a way that it could reconstruct it's self inside ones home. I actually saw it, plain as day. That morning I jerked myself up off the sofa just to realize what had happened. I finally told my daughter later that day when she came home from work due to the fact I had to reassure myself I did not imagine it...it was what I saw. Now you have to understand that I have raised my 2 children (now 36 and 42) to know about thing like ufo's and other anomalies and to believe that things like this are real.

I told my daughter about the sighting, and we had a UFO sighting when she was 4 years old BUT she did not accept .Mom, I believe that you believe what you saw was real. Then in my search for answers I came across you and your site and read and research some of the things you report. I guess what I'm asking is, if you have ever heard of such a thing in all your reports? Thanks to Charlette.

Note: The sightings of small flying objects inside people’s homes are often reported. Some abductees feel they are reconnaissance vehicles and some claim they even transform into entities.

Fukushima Hot Spots

Fukushima nuclear plant said on Thursday new spots of high radiation had been found near storage tanks holding highly contaminated water that has been pumped through the reactors to keep fuel in the melted cores from overheating. There are 350 bolted-style tanks in place and another 710 welded tanks.

The bolted tanks were sealed with resin but some are leaking. Tokyo Electric Power Co said, “Some bolted tanks have failed, leaking 300 tons of highly radioactive water each day that may have seeped into the Pacific Ocean.”

A tsunami crashed into the Fukushima Daiichi power plant north of Tokyo on March 11, 2011, causing fuel-rod meltdowns at three reactors, radioactive contamination triggering the evacuation of 160,000 people. It was the world's worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl in 1986 and no one seems to know how to bring the crisis to an end. Japan is calling for help.

US Response to Syria’s Chemical Attack

The Obama administration tried to bolster its case for possible military action against Syria within days, with intelligence agencies preparing to release intercepted communications aimed at proving President Assad perpetrated a large-scale chemical weapons attack on its civilians near Damascus.

There is a strong possibility that Al Qaeda actually used the chemical weapons in an effort to get the West to help in the fight against Assad, who has strongly denied the attack. Al Qaeda has the most to gain and has shown a willingness to kill innocent people to further their goal of taking over the Syrian government and to rule the Sunni religious majority.

The US Navy is setting up off the coast. Red areas are Government controlled while blue is held by the rebels. Syrian air bases would likely be attacked.

NASA Telescope will Search for Asteroids

CAPE CANAVERAL -- NASA will reactivate a mothballed infrared space telescope for a three-year mission to search for potentially dangerous asteroids on a collision course with Earth starting in October. The Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or WISE, telescope also will hunt for targets for a future mission to send a spacecraft to rendezvous with an asteroid.

Launched in December 2009, the WISE telescope spent 13 months scouting for telltale infrared signs of asteroids, stars, and distant galaxies. WISE observed more than 34,000 asteroids in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and another 135 asteroids in orbits that come close to Earth. Overall, scientists cataloged more than 560 million objects with WISE. The telescope’s instruments were turned off when its primary mission was completed in February 2011.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory already has found about 95 percent of the near-Earth asteroids that are .62 miles (1 km) or larger in diameter. The agency is about halfway through a 15-year effort to find 90 percent of all near-Earth objects that are as small as about 459 feet (140 meters) in diameter.

The search took on a note of urgency after a small asteroid blasted through the skies above Chelyabinsk, Russia, in February 2013 and exploded with 20- to 30 times the force of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. More than 1,500 people were injured. The events prompted Congressional hearings to step up asteroid detection initiatives and to double NASA’s $20 million Near-Earth Objects detection programs.

About 66 million years ago, an object 6 miles (10 km) in diameter smashed into what is now the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, leading to the demise of the dinosaurs, as well as most plant and animal life on Earth.

UFO Sightings in the United States

Arizona Spherical UFO

El Mirage -- I was driving to work at 5:19 AM, to central Phoenix on August 14, 2013; I stopped at a stop sign on the access road to Grand Avenue and saw there was a nice cloud formation backed by a colorful sunrise. I decided to snap a photo and took the shot facing east at the sunrise. I took two shots and reviewed them a few days later when I noticed the glowing lights in the sky.

I used my phones screen to zoom in and was in awe looking at six orbs of light in a circular or oval shape. I live near Luke Air Force Base and see fighter jets all the time but this was definitely NOT one of them. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Objects

CAclobvis18Aug13.jpg

Clovis -- At 6:51 AM, I was taking pictures of the sunrise and the clouds of a thunderstorm which was traveling down the San Joaquin valleys east side along that was dissipating on August 18, 2013. When I downloaded the pictures to the computer I noticed I had caught three objects in the sky. My first thought was I had captured three UFOs moving south and I took a second picture seconds later, and noticed four faint black dots in the second picture. I contacted and showed the picture to a Sanger California paranormal radio talk show host Jeffery Gonzales, and he didn’t know what they were? I was really excited that I might have captured real UFOs but without the proper photo enhancing equipment I can’t say what they are. The camera I used is a digital Olympus fe-230 7.1. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Colorado Triangle UFO

Lakewood -- This is the third time in the past six months that I've seen this large object/aircraft in the night skies over the Metro Denver area. At roughly 4:15 AM on August 14, 2013. I was driving by Wal-Mart near 1st and Wadsworth- roughly when I saw a slow object moving east. What struck me was how this craft resembled the previous two sightings I witnessed this year.

The aircraft seems to be larger than a commercial airliner, with three bright white 'LED' lights on the front forward facing underside and a smaller flashing white 'LED' on the wingtip. It was flying about 90 mph as drove south onto Wadsworth Avenue and I could see the underside of the aircraft. The underside of is honeycombed flat patterned triangle shaped layout with yellow lights. From this angle, looking directly at the back of the aircraft I could see two flashing 'LED' lights on the wingtips. No sound could be heard. It is awesome and possibly a military aircraft. If you’re awake around 3AM-4:30AM and you live in Denver area keep an eye on the night skies! Each time I saw this craft it was flying towards Fitzsimmons/CU Medical University area. Thanks to MUFON CMS

COsalida18Aug13.jpg

SALIDA --My friend and I were up at Mt. Antero, gold panning when I decided to

take some pictures of the area on August 18, 2013. I took pictures of the Mt Antero and the meadow and pictures of a beautiful stream.

When I got home to Colorado Springs I noticed a dark dull object in the picture. Neither I nor my friend saw or heard anything. According to the GPS, we were at 12 thousand feet and it was a thousand feet above us. I’ve never seen anything I couldn’t explain. When we try to blow up the photo, it looks like there is a glow around it and its oblong. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida UFO over Moon Alien Abduction

MIAMI -- This is a star-like object, a very bright point of light captured on August 16, 2013. I have seen this object before and it has a certain regularity. I used a Sony HD camcorder and you can see clearly that is a point of light, like a star, but it does not move in a straight line, so it is not an astronomical object or a satellite. I first spotted the object around 7:30 pm, still in daylight that appeared lower in the north horizon. It usually moves around the same point, but on August 16, it moves up all the way to the zenith, and then it fades away on the west direction around 8:24 pm.

That day also I noticed a silent drone flying around and took many hours of video recording it. Be aware that this object appears to be in the top levels of the atmosphere. Thanks to MUFON CMS

MIAMI -- On August 2, 2005, the Thomas witness called, saying that he had just awakened and was very; very thirsty even after drinking several bottles of water and wanted to tell me about what happened to him. He said, “At 1:10 AM, I had an overwhelming urge to go out back when I saw an orange light above the retention pond in my yard.” He said, “I saw the same one that I saw over the Gulf, but it was straight across, pointed at the end about 200 to 300 feet in the air that may have been a disk.” The surface was orange, pulsating, and there were three squares, then a space and then three more squares. He saw it for about 45 seconds and then it completely vanished. He found it hard to get back inside but did not awaken the others in his house.

He called me at 3:52 AM, stating, “I had two hours and forty-two minutes of missing time that was likely an abduction.” Thomas became very thirsty after this, drinking five 16 oz. bottles of water at once. He later suffered from vomiting, diarrhea and inability to urinate. On August 4, he noticed a slight burning sensation on his chest and discovered a small red triangle just below the skin. His doctor didn’t know what it was, but didn’t think it was anything to worry about. The doctor did find that his Triglycerides were dangerously high, 410, (normal 40 to 200) and said that he could be at risk for a stroke or heart attack. The doctor also found that his Electrolytes were extremely low, and advised him to drink PediaLite and to eat only fruit and vegetables. The family had gone to Cape Canaveral to see the space shuttle return and had lunch with the astronauts, Thomas’ niece asked about drinking Tang. The astronaut said, “We no longer drank that and use a different formula because they had found that weightlessness caused a decrease of electrolytes in the human body.” This may be significant to Thomas because his electrolytes were very low after an apparent abduction. The witness was fearful of a little girl with dark eyes in the doctor’s waiting room, as did people who wore sun glasses. Thanks to MM Zimmer and MUFON CMS. Georgia Lights

CUMMING -- Sitting on the front porch and noticed two bright lights in the sky to the south on August 21, 2013. They hovered and changed directions going back and forth. Then they would change from green to red and drop like a rock behind the treeline. This was about 2 weeks before I made this report. I was told they may have been Helios helicopters. I didn’t notice them again until last night; they were in the same location and doing the same thing as before, changing color and dropping out of sight and back up again. Tonight they appeared at the same time around 9:15 pm. I drove to a better location to observe them and a couple of more people were watching them. A lady said that it flew right over them just before I arrived and was in the shape of an asterisk with a spinning motion in the center, she said it made a slight humming noise like an air conditioning unit. We watched the lights hover; float around make hairpin turns and come to a complete stop. One of the objects changed colors from a green and white light to a brilliant red and dropped like a rock behind the treeline. The other one floated around then hovered. A few minutes passed and the object that dropped behind the treeline reappeared rising back up in a brilliant red light, turning to a blinding white light.

We watched the objects and we had a really freaky feeling watching them. Then both objects turned red and dropped behind the treeline and we didn’t see them again. The other couple said they saw the objects drop behind the trees. One goes down while the other stays up and hovers and floats nearby then both objects dropped below the tree line. Illinois UFO near Sears Tower

Chicago I was on the Amtrak train, the train had just entered so being the tourist I am I took a photo of the Willis (or Sears) tower. I had not seen anything at the time it took the picture. I was still on the train at the time; I took the picture through the window. The window had a smear on it, if you look at the picture the UFO looks like its emitting smoke, it’s not, it’s the smear. When I noticed it on my picture the first thing that came to mind was "I actually caught a legit UFO, and I’m only 12". Thanks to MUFON CMS

Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS -- On August 24, 2013, at 2:45 AM, I witnessed an orange pulsating orb in the north sky as I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. I quickly turned on the video on my Galaxy Exhibit 4G. I am a US Air Force veteran and aware of what aircraft look like at night.

I have never seen anything that fits the description of the craft that I saw.

This is the second strange encounter I’ve had in the last two years. My brother also had a strange encounter.

New Jersey UFOs

Marlton -- My kids and their mother were driving down Route 70 east when they saw a UFO hovering over farm land on August 25, 2013. It began to move slowly, and was as high as a 10 story building. They immediately knew it was an UFO because it had three white lights shining below the craft that descended 20 feet. The lights were a continuous bright light for the full 20 feet. After several minutes, a second UFO with red outside lights appeared and hovered next to the first UFO. They were very frightened and went to the nearest store where there were other observers who they said did not know what it was. After 15 minutes, they left the store and once again saw the two UFOs. As they drove down Route 70 a third UFO joined the other two and formed a triangle and slowly climbed upwards. They lost the UFOs and were too scared to try to follow them. This image was taken on my son’s cell phone of a white light that is green in the picture. A UFO is below. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Mexico Disc UFO

Corona -- My brother and I were checking out the area near the Corona UFO crash site of 1947. We took some photos with our iPhone on August 19, 2013, and when we got back home, we noticed something in our photo.

When the photo was taken, no A/C, birds, or debris was visible in the air. We heard no sound. I do not know what the object is... I’ve tried to analyze the pictures but no great results.

Thanks to MUFON CMS

North Carolina Discs

Fayetteville -- Travelling north in my car after work on August 24, 2013, we took a picture of a cloud formation. The sun was behind the car.

Our photo captured an object we noticed in the photo later that evening. Object was moving at incredible speed and we used a Stop f/2.4 exposure at 1/3717 second at ISO Speed of 100 Focal length 5mm.

Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ohio Orbs

SANDUSKY -- On August 9, 2013, about 10:20 PM, we were talking about seeing UFO’s, when we saw something that looked liked Japanese Lanterns in the sky.

I took a picture of them but what I saw wasn’t what I got in the picture.

You tell me what they are.

Thanks to William Puckett, Director http://www.UFOsnw.com

Oklahoma UFO Orb

Mustang -- We were at the Mustang City Park with family and friends to watch the fireworks on July 4, 2013 that were exploding around us. My sister-in-law said, “Jeff look a UFO.” I looked where she pointed above the building in front of us. I pulled out my Samsung Digital Camera and took several pictures. My sister-in-law also recorded pictures on her phone. At first I thought it was fireworks but it was moving too fast, and a firework went off near it. It looked like it jumped away from the explosion. You can see it jump between the first and second picture. It was my first good sighting and it just faded away. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oregon Cylinder

UNION -- On August 11, 2013, I was in my front yard looking at the stars and saw to the west a bright white orb sphere appear. It was real bright that’s why I noticed it. No noise came from it when it moved through the sky about the speed of a plane and was definitely lower in altitude than a plane. I took my camera on my phone and captured two pictures before it flew out of sight. I don’t know what it is but I do know I have seen similar things for the past two years off and on. I was super excited and when I got inside much later and looked at my pictures I was in shock in what was in both photos. Thanks to MUFON CMS

I was on the first leg of a flight from Denver, CO to Charleston, SC and was staring out the window, as I do on long boring flights and I noticed a long black cylinder like object directly off the left side of the 737 aircraft. I took images with my iPhone around noon before we landed in Nashville, TN. on March 14, 2011. I fly often and know what other aircraft looks like outside of a plane window. This object was odd because it had no trail and it kept up with our plane. Before changing direction completely and speeding up the object was almost vertical. I pointed it out to my friend who also saw it but could not explain it either. It changed direction and sped away. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Virginia Cylinder

HAMPTON -- I was outside taking pictures on August 20, 2013, of the full blue moon with my new Samsung 16 megapixel camera. After downloading the pictures to my computer a noticed a contrail next to the moon of three contrails merging into one. I could not see the aircraft that were making the contrails. I could see there were round objects following behind in the contrail. One of the objects stayed with the flight until the last picture. The objects may have been illuminated by the sun as it was 8:30 pm as the sun set. I am 65 years old and have lived my entire life near Langley Air Force base on the east coast water front. I would judge these objects to be in the 35000 to 40000 foot of altitude. The speed seemed to be somewhat faster than other aircraft I have recorded at that altitude. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Washington Crystal Type Object

Leavenworth -- I saw a crystal type light, mid day around 2 PM, on August 18, 2013, and didn’t think much of it until a minute or so later so I took a picture. I thought it weird to see because there were absolutely no clouds in the sky. The picture is looking west-southwest. The shiny object was there for twenty minutes. It could be a cloud, but it would be the first I have seen that looked like that. And there were absolutely no other clouds in the sky. It looked the same as the photo and was clearer to the naked eye than the camera could capture. I just thought it odd for a “cloud” to shine like a crystal or diamond would when light reflects.

Note: The photo appears to be a small cloud. However, the witness doesn’t believe that he saw nor photographed a cloud. Thanks to William Puckett, Director http://www.UFOsnw.com

World Wide UFO Sightings

Bolivia Green Orb

LAKE TITICACA -- We were crossing the border between Peru into Bolivia near the shore of Lake Titicaca on May 20, 2013. I took pictures of the view with my iPad, and when I saw the pictures later I realized there was a green orb.

In the second picture the green orb seems to have dashed 100 meters away in or more in less than 7 seconds.

Canada Five Lights

Sorel-Tracy – I saw five lights following each other in line, the last one was higher and closer to the one in front. Going north then one by one turned to the east, dimmed and disappeared. One minute later a chopper with his lights on came from the east and turned south and took the same path. No sound was heard and the sky was clear. Thanks to MUFON CMS

France Disc UFO

My name is Archie Saga, 37-yrs-old. I am a Filipino living in South of France about 16 years or so.

I would like to report a UFO sighting that I have captured using my cell phone (iPhone5) camera.

What amazed me after 3 shots that I took is that I didn't notice the object at the time. It was a terrible weather on June 13, 2013 at Cap D’ail; we were expecting a powerful thunderstorm so I took a photo of the clouds forming just above a super yacht. Powerful lightning was experienced that day cutting electricity four times.

I tried to zoom in the image but could not figure out exactly the shape of the object. There was a dark shade coming from below the object like a heat source. I believe I just took a genuine UFO photo.

India Disc

Taj Mahal -- UFO was allegedly spotted by the Indian Army near Taj Mahal in mid August. A video posted online appeared to show a UFO close to India's popular white marbled monument, Taj Mahal. A misleading news headline has led to confusing reports of the UFO sighting.

A report from The Inquisitr said it was true that the Indian army has reported UFO sightings, but they were nowhere near the Taj Mahal. The Army UFO sightings were part of a continuous wave of UFOs seen on the Indo-Tibetan/China Border.

Jason McClellan from Open Minds said after watching the video that it wasn't a bug since the object near Taj Mahal was not moving. The video appeared to be part of UFOPrimeTube's collection of UFO videos.

Comments under the video suggest the UFO sighting was not actually a UFO.

Mumbai Ovals

Kharghar Navi – During the past two or three months I have been noticing these really extraordinary objects that I believe is a UFO. It is a typical oval shaped light that is mostly visible between 10 PM and 10:20 PM. The August 19, 2013, light does not blink like those of planes so I am 110% sure it is a UFO!
Yesterday it was visible for some ten minutes and disappeared two minutes before a plane came!

Sighting report via UFOINFO by Scott Corrales

Puerto Rico

CANÓVANAS -- My son and I arrived from work and l looked at the moon and noticed the smoke or cloud line left below the moon which started from north to south which looked like something came into the atmosphere on August 18, 2013. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Spain Triangle UFO

GERENA -- Mr. Antonio Márquez, a resident of Gerena, member of the National Police on duty at a commissariat in Seville, kindly visited ufologist Joaquín Mateos Nogales to report the following:

“While travelling in my car to Seville to join the ranks, I witnessed something unusual at Kilometer 9 of the Gerena Road, at the crossing with the road to Extremadura. The time was 20:45 hours on the night of 6 February 1990. A brilliant, triangular-shaped object was some 40 meters to the right of the road, at an altitude of approximately 100 meters.”

According to the witness, it measured 12 to 14 meters long, and within the triangle he could see several hexagons of mostly green, yellow and blue, which differentiated the hexagons. At the time, the witness was afraid to stop, uncertain of how the object would react, as he explained. Two cars crossed his own vehicle at the time, but did not stop, and neither did he. When he reached the crossing with the road to Extremadura, he went into a brick factory, somewhat nervously, and explained what he had seen to the person in charge.

UK/England Lights

Fareham -- Seen five lights following each other in line, the last one was higher and closer to the one in front. Going north then one by one turned to the east, dimmed and disappeared. 1 minute latter a chopper whit his lights on came from the east and turned south (took about the same path in mid August.

No sound was heard. The sky was clear. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Alien spacecraft travels to Sun - Not a Comet

Alien spacecraft travels to Sun - Not a Comet

6873.jpgLook at how a simple view of the Comet Ison is seen and yet when darkened its true nature shines through. It's really a giant alien ship that flys past our sun. This is comet C/2012 S1 o Ison, which NASA is trying to misrepresent as a comet.

It seems that since the suns magnetic field is going to flip or reverse and this mothership is approaching our sun, it would be safe to assume the UFO either is going to cause the flip or wants to harvest some kind of magnetic energy when it happens.

C/2012 S1 will come to perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on 28 November 2013 at a distance of 0.012 AU (1,800,000 km; 1,100,000 mi) from the centre point of the Sun.

Physician who told of handling Roswell UFO debris dies

Physician who told of handling Roswell UFO debris dies

Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr. was found dead at his home in Helena, Mont., on Saturday.

AP 1 day ago Amy Beth Hanson of Associated Press -

"He was credible. He wasn't lying," Jesse Marcel Jr.'s wife said about his Roswell claims. Marcel, who said he handled debris from the 1947 Roswell UFO, was found dead Saturday.

HELENA, Mont. — Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr., who said he handled debris from the 1947 crash of an unidentified flying object near Roswell, N.M., has died at the age of 76.

Denice Marcel said her father was found dead at his home in Helena on Saturday, less than two months after making his last trip to Roswell. He had been reading a book about UFOs.

Over the past 35 years, Marcel appeared on TV shows, documentaries and radio shows; was interviewed for magazine articles and books; and traveled the world lecturing about his experiences in Roswell.

"He was credible. He wasn't lying. He never embellished — only told what he saw," his wife Linda said.

Marcel's father was an Air Force intelligence officer and reportedly the first military officer to investigate the wreckage in early July 1947. Marcel said he was 10 when his father brought home some of the debris, woke him up in the middle of the night and said the boy needed to look at it because it was something he would never see again.

His father maintained the debris "was not of this Earth," Linda Marcel said. "They looked through the pieces, tried to make sense of it."

The item that Marcel said fascinated him the most was a small beam with some sort of purple-hued hieroglyphics on it, she said.

After an initial report that a flying saucer had been recovered on a ranch near Roswell, the military issued a statement saying the debris was from a weather balloon.

"They were told to keep it quiet and they did for years and years and years," Linda Marcel said. Interest in the case was revived, however, when physicist and UFO researcher Stanton Friedman spoke with Jesse Marcel Sr. in the late 1970s.

Friedman wrote the foreword to Marcel's 2007 book "The Roswell Legacy," and described him as a courageous man who "set a standard for honesty and decency and telling the truth."

"His legacy is that he had the courage to speak out when he didn't have to about handling wreckage that his dad brought home," Friedman said Tuesday. "He worked with artists to come up with what the symbols on the wreckage looked like. He didn't have to do that. He could have kept his mouth shut. A lot of people did."

On his last trip to Roswell in early July, UFO researcher and Earth science professor Frank Kimbler arranged for Marcel to visit his childhood home and the debris site.

"I remember my dad did say that he loved the ride up to the site that day because he was able to discuss science with Frank," Denice Marcel said in an email to The Associated Press. "One thing about my Dad, he was always reading something on astronomy or some kind of scientific journal. He loved astronomy with a passion."

Marcel graduated from medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1961 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1962. He retired after nine years and later joined the Montana Army National Guard and became a flight surgeon in 1981. He was called back to active duty in October 2004 and served as a flight surgeon in Iraq for just over a year. He reached the rank of colonel.

He worked as an ear, nose and throat doctor and retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Harrison, west of Helena, all of which lent credibility to his story.

"I know that one of the things that Dad would love to say is, 'If we are the only ones here then there is an awful lot of wasted space out there,'" Denice Marcel said. "He wasn't the first one to say this, but he did believe it. He also believed that everyone needed to know the truth, and that the Roswell Incident was a real event and that it was time for the cover-up to stop."

He is survived by his wife and eight children. Funeral services are pending.

The Pot Calling The Kettle Black

UFO research is up in the air: Can it be scientific?

Sharon Hill's photo

Sounds Sciencey     article from the Sceptical Inquirer

Sharon Hill        August 28, 2013

A few months back, a British anomaly investigation organization announced the possible death of UFOlogy. They admitted that failure to provide proof that UFOs were extraterrestrial craft and a decline in the number of UFO reports suggests that aliens do not exist after all. Was this the end of “UFOlogy”—the study of UFOs? “No way! It's alive and well here,” said the U.S. UFOlogists. So it is. But what is the real status of the study of UFOs?

The UFO research field is having a bit of a crisis these days. Reports come in by the hundreds. There are not enough people to investigate them. Yet, decades of UFO research by private and military organizations have resulted in disappointment for those who surely thought there was something out there to reveal. Many of the historic figures of UFOlogy are aging or have passed away. Who is doing the work now? And what exactly are they doing?

The major organization remaining in the U.S. for investigating UFO sightings is MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network. MUFON is not in good shape. Their stated mission is to conduct scientific investigation of UFO reports for the benefit of mankind. But there is dispute about their ability to actually do that. The current version of MUFON, according to those observing the situation, is focused on everything except proper UFO investigation and is nowhere near scientific. Membership in the organization has fallen off and some local MUFON groups are disgruntled. Leadership upheavals over the past few years may have been distracting and overall, they are experiencing a serious case of mission creep.

MUFON consists of chapters covering each state across the country who operate somewhat independently with members paying dues to the main headquarters. They promote a scientific method. But do they actually accomplish that goal? Recent commentators say no, they do not. The focus in local MUFON chapters meetings these days is decidedly unscientific with talks on alien abduction, conspiracy theories, human-ET hybrids, hypnotic regression, and repressed memories. That's a wide range of pseudoscience in one place. It's dragging down the credibility of the entire subject as well as missing the point of improving actual UFO investigations.

A comprehensive two-part piece recently appeared online describing the changing of the guard at MUFON that is installing its fourth director since 2009. The UFO Trail blog critiques the current status the field and takes note of the rising voices in the community, some of whom wish to elevate the investigations and methods out of the realm of pseudoscience. Author of The UFO Trail, Jack Brewer, is critical of the current methodology, characterized it as “sham inquiry”—a label I used to describe amateur paranormal investigation and one he thought also applied in this case.

The newly named director of MUFON, Jan Harzon, states that UFOlogy is a science and intends to put a scientific face back on UFO investigations. Their latest symposium, held in Las Vegas this past July had the theme “Science, UFOs, and the Search for ET.” The conference featured presentations from several science professionals (current and former) but did not provide any blockbuster information or do much to promote science.

"We hope to bridge the gap between science and UFOlogy," said Jan Harzan, state director of network's Orange County bureau. "They're one in the same." - Las Vegas Sun (19 July 2013).

Many skeptical critics would dispute the claim that UFOlogy is a science but that depends on how you wish to define “science.” A general definition such as a “systematically collected body of knowledge” is not very descriptive of a subject area that contains a lot of data but few constructive hypotheses to provide a framework. The UFO sighting data is mostly witness reports and much of it is of questionable veracity or too old to be of much value any longer. The National UFO Reporting Center has a database of reported sightings but I haven’t found any compelling reports about flaps or trends to make sense of the data. It could be that I’m not reading cutting-edge UFO research but if there really was a good report that solidly concluded that there was a pattern and subsequent explanation for UFO flaps, I would be interested. I would hope I’d have heard of it, at least from those who have a more in-depth knowledge. But, as with claims of proof of psychics or hauntings, we only have popular, often biased reports about particular events from individuals that have a belief to promote. Those case studies in addition to being problematic in their accuracy (since it’s hard to confirm many of the events via witnesses), are not robust enough to aid in explaining the phenomenon.

The discussion coming from a small group of today's modern UFO researchers suggests that UFOlogy is on the wrong track these days. With a focus on abductions, conspiracies, and exopolitics/disclosure, the core of the field is no longer about investigating and identifying what people are reporting to have seen in the sky.

Antonio Paris runs the API Aerial Phenomenon Investigation Team, which has a somewhat different focus than MUFON. He wishes to return to the “nuts and bolts” idea of UFO investigation and get away from the conspiracy and fringe topics that so often dominate the symposiums and local MUFON talks.

I asked Antonio what sorts of tools his organization uses to do investigations. He noted that Internet sites can help identify some of the man-made objects like aircraft and satellite. MUFON also mentions these tools on their sites along with astronomical sites to identify bright celestial objects that are sometimes confusing to people viewing them on the ground. Paris is also familiar with the shape of many military aircraft and says he can typically identify them in association with military bases nearby. API has tackled about 300 or so cases but does not pursue those that look like jokes, hoaxes, or give them nothing to go on. There is no lack of UFO reports. An initial screening to determine viable cases is necessary to remove those cases not worthy of investigation or they would be overwhelmed.

MUFON trains their investigators through a manual and an exam. Paris noted to me that the test requires no specialized skills and many people could potentially pass it without even looking at the manual. The certification as a field investigator is a worthwhile effort by MUFON to standardize their methods and provide a framework for consistency of methods but it's only internal to MUFON. When each MUFON chapter operates pretty much on its own, inconsistency and regional differences creep in. Paris told me he is frustrated by the lack of sharing of information both internally and externally of MUFON noting that an object of interest can fly over a wide area. Coordination of reports that may be of the same object would be a worthwhile effort. Science is dependent on sharing information either through collaboration or peer review of findings. UFOlogy appears weak in that area having no established journal or even an online location for filing results.

Even more fundamental to UFOlogy than answering “Is it a science?” is “Can it ever be scientific?”

UFOs are uniquely difficult to investigate for several reasons. The observation is fleeting. It may not repeat. It is difficult to reproduce. If it remains airborne, it leaves no physical evidence behind, only the story of the witness. The observation is often made in the dark under conditions in which it is difficult (or impossible) to accurately judge size and distance.

The options for making a UFO into an IFO (identified) are many and various. Along with the typical reports (satellites, aircraft, flares and planets), we have more man-made things in the air now than ever: experimental balloons and aircraft, weather balloons, Chinese lanterns, drones, dirigibles, toys and deliberate hoaxes. Even people can become UFOs.

Can UFOs be scientifically investigated?

If by “scientific” we mean methodical, objective observations in consideration of natural laws, logic and reason, then, yes. I think UFO investigation can be scientific but the sea change that is needed would be pretty huge for the field and I don’t know if they can pull it off. As with paranormal investigators, UFO researchers tend to lean towards the believer side. That’s what keeps them passionate. But it's also their undoing. A bias towards belief in a mystery or in alien craft is the first giant misstep in UFOlogy. The first step for a rejuvenated field to gain credibility is to drop the default belief that ETs are visiting earth and back up to the very basic question, “What, if anything, did this witness see?” Begin looking for real world answers instead of “proof” to support a belief in alien life.

I found a great example of one such sound UFO investigation. Andrew Hansford recently gave an excellent talk at the 2013 Amazing Meeting about how he examined a UFO case from Marblehead, MA. You can see his report here. He was able to glean the best answer and make a solid conclusion from rather few bits of initial information. He used the tools available to him to seek a down-to-earth explanation.

I asked CFI fellow and Skeptical Inquirer UFO columnist Robert Sheaffer his thoughts about scientific investigation of UFOs. It's a bit tricky. Many have assumed it's possible, he says, but it turns out to be more difficult than it seems. Sheaffer has documented the several times “rapid response” teams have been attempted by UFO organizations. It was hoped that by gathering “reliable witness reports,” and implementing a “rapid response team” to capture the UFO with professional filming techniques, better evidence could be put forth for the claim that something worth paying attention to was really occurring.

Rapid response teams turned out to be disappointing, says Sheaffer. Antonio Paris was part of one such team, the “STAR Team” for MUFON. Millionaire Robert Bigelow funded the project. “MUFON has been somewhat tight-lipped about the results,” Sheaffer tells me, “but they are generally conceded to be hugely disappointing.” It did not give them the results they hoped for.

Sheafffer has written about other “rapid response” efforts prior to the STAR Team in his Psychic Vibrations column of July/Aug, 2009 of Skeptical Inquirer. In 1967, J. Allen Hynek proposed and later implemented a national toll-free UFO Hotline. Experienced screeners manned the lines twenty-four hours a day. They contacted local police and/or other investigators who would rush to the scene. Hynek expected this method would yield excellent evidence. Even with the cooperation of the FBI, years later, it did not produce the expected results.

The National UFO Reporting Center, run by Peter Davenport, has had a telephone hotline since 1974.

In 1977, the French government created an agency called GEPAN to investigation UFO reports. After producing nothing convincing, official UFO investigations in France ended in 2004. The British UFO desk was closed in 2009 despite a surge of sighting reports. Nothing was distillable from the reports.

In the late 1990s, the Los Vigilantes of Mexico City was organized to respond to a flap of UFO sightings in the area. Cameras were at the ready to respond to UFO reports on short notice. Sheaffer says, as far as he was aware, they never obtained anything of significance.

MUFON still gets hundreds of cases a month and there is considerable backlog of investigations. That’s a hefty work load for volunteers. There is a need to sort the wheat from the utter chaff but there still are valid means to find out what people probably saw in the sky. Most reports will have a satisfying answer if diligently investigated. But that may not happen or the eyewitness may not accept it.

Paris’s API group is in contact with the new leadership at MUFON and is encouraged that a more sound approach to the field is on the horizon. This may be a new dawn for UFOlogy as the old guard dies away and the new, more centered, serious thinkers take over. UFOlogy is undergoing a transformation once again.

For now, UFOlogy attempts to sound sciencey, but it is not nearly up to the standards to be called “science.” Can it be science? Only with a wholesale change in assumptions and approach. Drop the fascination with conspiracies and abductions—go back to nuts and bolts.

Sharon will be participating in UFOCon14 in Baltimore, Maryland in 2014.

Remark of Peter2011:
Who can tell me why the sceptics do it know always better? Have they seen the light? A sceptic is a doubter, what means that he does doubt about all things, except sciences... I wonder if they know they do exist? If science is so miraculous, why can the academics  not cure diseases, as cancer, AIDS,...

Overlords of the UFO--Full Length documentary from 1976--BANNED

Ben de Bruycker
Ben de Bruycker 29 août 21:47
Overlords of the UFO is a scientific suppressed and banned documentary from 1976. Much of this documentary features long lost photos of UFO's and other evidence long taken out of the public main stream media. This documentary also discloses that the govt has all ready admitted to the existence of off world UFO's, but that information has long been manipulated out of the public's attention and eyes.

Some of the documentary goes into other unexplained phenomenon also. BUT the most important information in this movie is that the govt has all ready disclosed and released the evidence of UFOs and ETs but that disclosure has been taken out of the public's awareness and media for decades.

JESSE MARCEL JR. DIED OF A HEART ATTACK AUGUST 24 by Kevin Randle. I have known Jesse for more than a quarter century. I first met him while we both were in Roswell to film a segment for the old Unsolved Mysteries that aired on NBC. We had gone out to dinner with a number of those in town for the program and since we shared a military background, including that of Army Aviation, we connected immediately. As medical doctor, he was trained as a flight surgeon and I, of course, had been a helicopter pilot. More...page.gif

MY STRANGE LIFE WITH UFOS AND ALIENS by Bob Morrison. For sixty years, four months and 20 days I never knew. Looking back how could I have not known? I should have known but for some reason my thoughts would not take me in that direction. But the reality was I was not ready. It would take 60 years to prepare me for the shock of my life. For most of my adult life I could never figure out why my life was stranger than fiction. More...page.gif Also read: MY STRANGE LIFE WITH UFOS AND ALIENS PART IIpage.gif

DIRECTED PANSPERMIA: ESTABLISHED SCIENCE MEETS PALEO-CONTACT by Edward Crabtree. That scenario is, of course, science fiction. In a notorious exchange with the controversialist Ben Stein, however, a respected British ethologist said something that was to create shockwaves. He said: `I could be that at some earlier time, somewhere in the Universe, a civilisation evolved, probably by some kind of Darwinian means, probably to a high level of technology, and designed a form of life that they seeded onto this planet. Now that is a possibility, an intriguing possibility`. More...page.gif

LIFE AFTER DEATH: DO WE SET SAIL INTO THE COSMOS? by Diane Tessman. How narrow and limited mainstream science often is! Every now and then, it comes up with a study which says near-death experience such as the consciousness leaving the body and encountering a wondrous “alien” universe – is just a myth. Medical researchers have announced (again) that near-death experience may well be caused by a surge of electrical firing in the dying brain. This new research was done on animals; many of us object to the use of research animals in this way – a subject for another day. More...

Scientists in the Stone Age?

Scientists in the Stone Age?

University of Oxford, Ashmolean Museum

University of Oxford, Ashmolean Museum. Three of the stones in the picture were found at Skara Brae, Orkney, which is assumed to have religious significance.

By: Amanda Froelich,
True Activist.

5 stone balls discovered in Scotland (Kincardineshire, Aberdeenshire, and Banff), part of a collection at the Ashmolean Museum, are baffling archaeologists in their purpose.

Dating back to 3,000 and 2,000 BC, the five stones at the museum are just some of over 425 stones which have been found, all featuring peculiar symmetrical patterns.

Composed of different stones like sandstone and granite, they’re intricately designed, and like modern examples of atoms, are geometrically balanced.

Most of the stones are similar in size with a diameter of 70 mm except for a few larger ones up to 114 mm in diameter. The many knobs vary from 4 up to 33 with some of the stones also including spiral patterns.

The five stones in the museum were part of the collection of Sir John Evans  who hypothesized that they had been used during war attached to a thong. However, the lack of damage to the stones would suggest that this isn’t an accurate assumption, as well as the intense preparation to create such a ball for war doesn’t make sense

Other explanations include that they were possibly used as weights for fishing nets or had a ceremonial role, giving the holder the right to speak.

However, there is another theory: could the symmetrically balanced and intricately carved stones be a model of the nucleus of atoms? Many findings suggest past civilizations were quite intelligent, recognizing star patterns of galaxies scientists are now just discovering and perhaps even utilizing the energy of the universe to move inanimate objects. If such theories were true, perhaps these stone balls were just a small part in understanding the universe; if one had knowledge of chemistry, it would be possible to represent the atomic structure of different atoms, such as in the stones.

At the very least, the embossed symmetrical patterns suggest that the creator of these objects had knowledge of geometry and may even have been able to represent the platonic solids, regular, convex polyhedrons, and regular polygons, with the same number of faces meeting at each vertex.

For now, their true purpose remains a mystery, but speculation continues to broaden perspective.

Interview du Professeur Yves Rocard

Interview du Professeur Yves Rocard
pr-yves-rocard.jpg

"Mr. Scientist, We Saw Some Strange Lights High Up There While Flying" … Mr. Scientist: "It WAS Your Imagination Running Wild!"

Is it a bird, a plane, a UFO? It's a...red sprite

Is it a bird, is it a plane, is it a UFO? Strange lights in the sky are being closely watched by atmospheric scientists.

Dubbed red sprites by researchers, these dancing fairies-of-the-clouds are sometimes glimpsed as blood-red bursts of light in the shape of jellyfish.

At other times, they appear as trumpet-shaped blue emissions, called blue jets. Like the most elusive of nymphs, however, red sprites and blue jets come out on only one occasion: during severe thunderstorms.

Although sporadically reported for years by airline pilots, only in the past decade or two has there been enough evidence to convince atmospheric scientists to investigate the phenomenon.

What's that in the skies?

Now baffled researchers asking "What in the world is this?" may have found answers.

Above a thunderstorm's black clouds, sprites appear as bursts of red light flashing far into Earth's atmosphere, according to scientist Hans Nielsen of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

The brief flashes look like glowing jellyfish, with red bells and purple tentacles. In a single night, a large thunderstorm system can emit up to one hundred sprites.

Into the wild blue—or red—yonder

Nielsen, Jason Ahrns, also of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, Matthew McHarg of the U.S. Air Force Academy and researchers from Fort Lewis College teamed up this summer to study sprites.

They used the National Science Foundation (NSF)/National Center for Atmospheric Research Gulfstream-V aircraft, a high-flying plane capable of reaching altitudes of 50,000 feet, to conduct their research. Their project is funded by NSF.

Sprites are similar to lightning, say Nielsen and McHarg, in that they are electrical discharges from the atmosphere.

But while sprites mimic lightning "in some ways," says McHarg, "they're different in others. Lightning happens below and within clouds, at altitudes of two to five miles. Sprites occur far above the clouds, at about 50 miles up—10 times higher than lightning."

Is it a bird, a plane, a UFO? It's a...red sprite

They're also huge, he says, reaching 30 miles high.

"Red sprites don't last very long, though, about one-one thousandth of a second. That's 300 times quicker than the time it takes us to blink!"

Blue jets, which weren't directly part of the scientists' study, stick around longer than red sprites, originate at the tops of storm clouds, and shoot up to an altitude less than half that of red sprites. Blue jets are narrower than red sprites, and fan out like trumpet-shaped flowers in blue or purple hues.

"This field of research is fast evolving, and is important for understanding the global electric circuit," says Anne-Marie Schmoltner, program director in NSF's Division of Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences, which supports the research. "The red sprite airborne field campaign this summer provided observations at unprecedented time resolutions."

What makes thunderstorms' celestial lights

Atmospheric researchers have developed theories to try to explain these celestial lights.

Red sprites may happen at the time of positively charged cloud-to-ground lightning strikes, which make up about ten percent of all lightning and are many times more powerful than more common, negatively charged lightning.

The flashes may be akin to giant electric sparks.

After a powerful ground strike, the electric field above a thunderstorm may become strengthened to the point that it causes an "electrical breakdown," an overload that weakens the atmosphere's resistance to electric current flow. The result is an immense red spark, or sprite, in the atmosphere.

Although still something of a mystery, red sprites have helped solve other long-standing questions.

Scientists have found that red sprites create some of the low-frequency radio bursts picked up for years by instruments around the world, but whose source was unknown.

Is it a bird, a plane, a UFO? It's a...red sprite
Other NSF-funded research has tracked blue jets, close relatives of red sprites. Credit: Stanford University

Large bursts of gamma rays, emanating from Earth rather than space, originate during thunderstorms, although their exact relationship to red sprites remains unclear.

Researchers now wonder whether red sprites (and blue jets) might affect the atmosphere in important ways.

For example, sprites and jets might alter the chemical composition of the upper atmosphere. Though brief, they could set off lasting charges.

Sprites' deep red color is caused by the light emitted from nitrogen molecules in the atmosphere, says McHarg. Red sprites may turn out to be important to atmospheric chemistry and global climate by changing concentrations of nitric oxides high in the atmosphere.

The researchers are using a technique called high-speed spectroscopy to study sprites' different colors to determine the amount of energy the sprites carry, and to find out more about their chemical composition.

How to see a sprite

Can thunderstorm-watchers on the ground glimpse red sprites and blue jets with the naked eye? Yes, if they know where to look.

Viewers must be able to see a distant thunderstorm with no clouds in the way, in an area without city lights. Then they must look above the storm, not at the lightning within the clouds.

It's likely, say the scientists, that if watchers wait long enough, they'll see a red sprite. Blue jets are more elusive. The best viewing would probably come from a plane flying very high, and located miles and miles away from a thunderstorm.

With its rubber tires, a car may be the safest vehicle from which to hunt for ephemeral sprites of the thunderclouds.

UFO research is up in the air: Can it be scientific?

Sounds Sciencey

Sharon Hill                     August 28, 2013

Sharon Hill's photo Sharon Hill specializes in issues of science and the public and runs the Doubtful News website. Sharon can be reached at shill@centerforinquiry.net.

The newly named director of MUFON, Jan Harzan, states that UFOlogy is a science and intends to put a scientific face back on UFO investigations.

Remark from Peter 2011 --
Why do a scptic ( = a doubter!) knows always all better? Sceptisme means that you believe in nothing, only in science... They do doubt about all things. I wonder if they do exist?...
And if they believe so in Sciences? Why can't the academics cure diseases , as cancer, AIDS,... Following me, most of the sceptics do have perhaps a high IQ, but their EQ is ZERO...

The Other Side of Truth podcast - Episode 2.9: Kevin Randle

Episode 2.9
Kevin Randle – “Roswell Revisted”

Veteran researcher / author Kevin Randle joins host Paul Kimball for a wide-ranging discussion about the Roswell UFO incident, and Randle’s work over the past two years with the ”Dream Team” (Tom Carey, Donald Schmitt, Anthony Bragalia, Chris Rutkowski, David Rudiak, and Randle), who have been re-examining the evidence for and against the crash of an extraterrestrial spacecraft near Roswell in July, 1947. Kimball challenges Randle to make the his best case for the crashed spacecraft scenario, and then the two of them dig deeper to see how well the evidence has held up over the past thirty years. The answers may surprise people familiar with Randle’s long-held view that the Roswell incident was indeed a crashed extraterrestrial spacecraft. Towards the end of the episode, Kimball and Randle briefly discuss the other famous / infamous crashed spacecraft story from the late 1940s, the Aztec incident, and why both of them agree that it was a hoax / con.

This episode was recorded on 23 August, 2013.

Key Roswell witness Jesse Marcel Jr. dies

Marcel Jr. was one of the last surviving witnesses to the debris recovered during the Roswell incident.

Dr Jesse Marcel was the son of Major Jesse Marcel whose involvement in the recovery of debris from the Roswell UFO crash in 1947 had made him a household name. First on the scene following the incident, Marcel Sr. famously appeared in a series of photographs taken of the debris strewn out on the floor, materials that the United States military would later claim to be the remains of a weather balloon experiment.

Following the retrieval of the debris, his father allowed him to have a look at the strange materials which included beams marked with undecipherable symbols and a mysterious type of metal that would spring back in to shape when bent. Despite the level of controversy surrounding these events Marcel stood firm to his words and never changed his story, a fact that many in the field see as a testimony to his sincerity and dedication to the truth.

Jessie Marcel Jr. was himself a keen disclosure advocate and made several public appearances to tell his side of the story including the recent Citizen's Hearing on Disclosure. He also wrote a book on his experiences called "The Roswell Legacy" which detailed the events as he recalled them.

Dr Marcel died of a suspected heart attack at his home at the age of 77.

Scientific Evidence Reports that Bosnian Pyramids Built Using Geopolymer Cement

Scientific Evidence Reports that Bosnian Pyramids Built Using Geopolymer Cement

Results released by the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy of chemical and diffractometry laboratory analysis done on sandstone and conglomerate blocks taken from the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun show that the samples are an inert material with a binding, similar to that found in ancient Roman concrete. These results were confirmed by analysis on the samples done at the University of Zenica,Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In a separate independent test, Professor Joseph Davidovits, renowned French Scientist, member of the International Association of Egyptologists and author confirms this claim. “I performed electron microscopic analysis of the sample and I propose the geopolymer chemistry that was used to make this is ancient concrete,” wrote Prof Davidovits. http://www.davidovits.info/34/the-pyramids-in-bosnia-europe-perhaps-in-roman-concrete

He further adds that the sample is composed of “a calcium/potassium-based geopolymer cement and that although he cannot date the sample, he can discern that it is not modern concrete, but more like the technique used by the Egyptians 3500 years ago.” In his book,The Pyramids: an Enigma Solved, Davidovits presents the current knowledge of pyramid construction that is supported by scientific, historical, and linguistic studies which prove that the Egyptian pyramids were constructed using agglomerated stone (limestone cast like concrete).

The research on pyramid technology has long suspected that pyramid energy involvesscience and machinery far more advanced than what we currently have today. Christopher Dunn, author of The Giza Power Plant, published in 1996 explains that the pyramids were ancient energy machines, currently a popular theory amongst researchers. The pyramids of Bosnia have the same elements described in the Giza pyramids that define the structure of an ancient power generator system. After visiting Bosnia in 2011, Chris Dunn stated, “While I was in Visoko, experts from various disciplines showed excitement on the result of their studies of the so-called pyramid hill. Hopefully, in due course, clear signs of ancient precision engineering will eventually be discovered.”Now in 2013, the Bosnian archeological site is further excavated and new scientific evidence has emerged proving that ancient precision engineering was indeed used to build the Bosnian Pyramids.

Further evidence of concrete being used in pyramid construction is shown by the work of Professor Michel Barsoum, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University, and Professor Gilles Hug, of the French National Aerospace Research Agency who have found scientific evidence that parts of the Great Pyramids of Giza were built using an early form of concrete. This debunks an age old myth that the pyramids were built using only cut limestone blocks and proves the theory that concrete and nanotechnology was used by the ancients.

Since it was discovered in 2005 by Dr. Sam SemirOsmanagich Ph.D., director of Center for Anthropology and Archaeology at the American University in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Bosnian Pyramid complex has been stonewalled by mainstream archeologists until recent scientific evidence which makes it impossible to deny the authenticity of this history changing discovery.

“The team of interdisciplinary scientists conducting studies on the cosmic energy enigma at the archeological site in Bosniaare on a relentless pursuit to uncover the wisdom from the ancient culture that left this behind,” states Dr. SamOsmanagich. “There are facts about physical phenomenon that can be scientifically verified, yet there remain many unanswered questions unexplainable using our current recorded history.”

Facts that have been verified by scientific analytic testing include:

  •     The Sun pyramid stands over 722 feet (220 m) high one third taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza
  •     Radio carbon dating shows the pyramid to be at least 24,800 years old
  •     Material Analysis shows that the structure is from man-made concrete
  •     There is an 8.000 kg ceramic block under the pyramid in the underground labyrinth
  •     An energy beam, electromagnetic in nature with a radius of 4.5 meters and a frequency of 28 kHz,has been detected and measured coming from the top of the Sun pyramid
  •     An ultrasound beam with a radius of 10 meters and frequency of 28-33 kHz has been measured on the top of the pyramid, as well
  •     The pyramids are aligned with the earth’s cardinal points and oriented to stellar North

“Although tens of thousands of pyramids have been discovered across the planet, none have the construction quality and date back as far as the ones in Bosnia,” states Osmanagich. “Bosnia is the original pyramid, the oldest and largest ever constructed. It has an exact zero degree North orientation and is potentially the key to releasing information about ancient technology that can free the world of its dependence on fossil fuel along with offering the possibility of finding astounding medical breakthroughs in the scientific community.”

Medical tests on the effect on the human aura have started at the Bosnian Pyramids and early evidence shows that human physiology and emotional states are highly elevated in the pyramid. This is due to the reduction of negative ions that are found in our atmosphere.
