Stratolaunch flies world's largest airplane on 2nd test flight

The biggest airplane ever built now has two flights under its belt.

Stratolaunch's Roc carrier plane, which is being groomed to haul hypersonic vehicles aloft, conducted its second-ever test flight Thursday morning (April 29).

The giant aircraft, which features a wingspan of 385 feet (117 meters), took off from Mojave Air and Space Port in southeastern California at 10:28 a.m. EDT (1428 GMT; 7:28 local California time) on a data-gathering shakeout cruise that lasted three hours and 14 minutes.

Roc reached a maximum altitude of 14,000 feet (4,267 m) and a top speed of 199 mph (320 kph) during Thursday's test flight, which Stratolaunch deemed a success.

"We're very pleased with how the Stratolaunch aircraft performed today, and we are equally excited about how much closer the aircraft is to launching its first hypersonic vehicle," Stratolaunch chief operating officer Zachary Krevor said during a postflight news conference today.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen established Stratolaunch in 2011 with the idea that Roc would be used to launch satellites in midair. But Allen died in October 2018 without seeing that vision become reality, or even seeing the twin-fuselage Roc get off the ground. The plane didn't make its first — and, until today, only — test flight until April 2019.

The company was sold in October 2019 to its current owners, who recast Roc's role. The plane will now serve as a mobile launch platform for hypersonic vehicles, maneuverable craft that travel at least five times faster than the speed of sound.

Stratolaunch is developing its own family of hypersonic vehicles, including a reusable 28-foot-long (8.5 m) craft called Talon-A, which will be the first to fly with Roc. But that won't happen for a while yet; Roc needs to make a number of additional solo flights first, company representatives said today. 

If all goes according to plan, the first drop tests with Roc and a Talon-A test article will occur early next year. An expendable version of Talon-A will reach hypersonic speeds later in 2022, and the first flight with the reusable Talon-A variant will follow in 2023, said Stratolaunch chief technology officer Daniel Millman.

The data gathered during Talon-A flights might be of interest to the U.S. military, which has been developing its own hypersonic vehicles for years now, though none are operational yet. (Hypersonic vehicles are good weapon-delivery systems, because their maneuverability makes them tougher to counteract than traditional ballistic missiles.)

"One of the areas that we're looking at is, how can we help the Department of Defense in mitigating risks for a lot of their expensive flight testing?" Millman said. "Our testbed has the ability to carry payloads. It has the ability to test materials. It has the ability to fly a variety of profiles that are of interest to folks across the spectrum both offensively and defensively in terms of hypersonics."

Mars helicopter Ingenuity misses takeoff for 4th flight on Red Planet

NASA's Mars helicopter Ingenuity was supposed to get a real workout this morning (April 29), but things didn't go as planned.

The 4-lb. (1.8 kilograms) chopper was scheduled to lift off from the floor of Mars' Jezero Crater today around 10:12 a.m. EDT (1412 GMT), kicking off its fourth flight on the Red Planet. That didn't happen.

"Aim high, and fly, fly again. The #MarsHelicopter's ambitious fourth flight didn't get off the ground, but the team is assessing the data and will aim to try again soon. We'll keep you posted," NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, which manages Ingenuity's technology-demonstrating mission, said via Twitter today.

Ingenuity also had a hiccup in the leadup to its first flight attempt, failing to transition to flight mode as planned. In response, the helicopter team altered the command sequence beamed from Earth — a fix that allowed Ingenuity to fly on Mars for the first time on April 19.

Tests here on Earth suggested that fix would be effective about 85% of the time, Ingenuity team members said. It's possible that the same issue cropped up today, and the latest attempt just fell into the unlucky 15% slot. But we'll have to wait until Ingenuity's handlers have performed the requisite analyses to find out more.

Ingenuity landed with NASA's Perseverance rover on Feb. 18 inside the 28-mile-wide (45 kilometers) Jezero, which hosted a big lake and a river delta in the ancient past.

Ingenuity deployed from Perseverance's belly on April 3 and began prepping for its flight campaign, which is designed to show that aerial exploration is possible on Mars.

The helicopter has performed three flights to date, one apiece on April 19, April 22 and April 25. Those sorties have gotten increasingly ambitious, with the solar-powered chopper traveling 330 feet (100 meters) at a top speed of 4.5 mph (7.2 kph) during April 25's 80-second flight.

The fourth flight was designed to push those boundaries even more. Today's plan called for Ingenuity to cover about 872 feet (266 m) of ground and reach a top speed of 8 mph (13 kph) while staying aloft for 117 seconds, NASA officials said. 

Ingenuity's flight window is coming to an end. The campaign is capped at five flights over a one-month stretch from the April 3 deployment date, because Perseverance needs to start focusing on its own mission, which involves hunting for signs of long-gone Mars life and collecting samples for future return to Earth. 

(Perseverance has been documenting and supporting Ingenuity's work; for example, communications to and from the helicopter must go through the rover.)

It's unclear at this point if Ingenuity will be able to squeeze five flights in before its time is up, but the helicopter team members have said they will do their best to make that happen.

I was out doing my nightly walk in Wyeast Communty Park with my dogs when 8-10 RED lights came out and under the cloud layer in some sort of formationrs what caught my eye was they were all red lights, using my IPhone XMax I recorded what I was seeing but it barely showed the lights but by adjusting the filter they show up as wmy nightly walk with my dogshite lights coming out under the clouds in some sort of formation toword my stationary position from the North going South. They shortly disappeared back up into cloud layer an no longer visible.

The Stunning Images Of Mars

On April 28, 2021, the Perseverance Mars Rover captured something what looks like distorted metallic-looking debris from a crashed object. 

The object compared to the many rocks shows that it does not belong to the surrounding landscape. 

The clearly visible distorted parts of the object, which may be debris from a crashed craft, indicates that it is artificially and that the Jezero crater on Mars has been visited by an intelligent race in the past.

A SpaceX Rocket Nearly Collided with a UFO, NASA Says

Can you imagine being advised that you’re about to collide with a UFO?  A team of astronauts made up of Akikho Hoshide, Thomas Pesquet, Shane Kimbrough, and Megan McArthur was told that they’re about to collide with an unidentified flying object. According to reports from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), a SpaceX rocket came close to colliding with an unknown object.

NASA decided to warn the crew because there would be insufficient time to execute an evasion maneuver, as the US space agency explained. As a precautionary measure, the team donned their pressurized suits.

Fortunately, the collision did not happen as the UFO was 45 kilometers from the spacecraft. The astronauts reached their destination at the International Space Station (ISS) safe and sound on April 24 to join the Crew-2 mission.

We Could Detect Alien Civilizations Through Their Interstellar Quantum Communication

In September of 2018, NASA hosted a Technosignatures Workshop, which was followed by the release of their Technosignature Report. By August of 2020, NASA and the Blue Marble Institute sponsored another meeting – Technoclimes 2020 – to discuss concepts for future searches that would look for technosignatures beyond the usual radio signals. As someone who has dedicated his professional life to SETI, Hippke has many insights to offer.

The Search Thus Far

As he noted in his study, modern SETI efforts began in 1959 when famed SETI pioneer Giuseppe Cocconi & physicist Philip Morrison (both of Cornell University at the time) published their seminal paper, “Searching for Interstellar Communications.” In this paper, Coccini and Morrison recommended searching for signs of intelligent life by looking for narrow-band signals in the radio spectrum.

This was followed two years later by R.N. Schwartz and C.H. Townes of the Institute of Defense Analyses (IDA) in Washington D.C. In their paper, “Interstellar and Interplanetary Communication by Optical Masers,” they proposed that optical pulses from microwave lasers could be an indication of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) sending messages out into the cosmos.

But as Hippke notes, six decades and more than one hundred dedicated search programs later, surveys that have looked for these particular technosignatures have yielded nothing concrete. This is not to say that the scientists have been looking for the wrong signatures so far, but that it could be useful to consider casting a wider net. As Hippke explained in his paper:

“We are looking (and should keep looking) for narrow-band lighthouse blasts, even though we have found none yet. At the same time, it is possible to expand our search… It is sometimes argued in the hallways of astronomy departments that we ‘just have to tune into the right band’ and – voilà – will be connected to the galactic communication channel.”

A Quantum Revolution

While virtually all attempts to create quantum processors are relatively recent (occurring since the turn of the century), the concept itself dates back to the early 1970s. It was at this time that Stephen Weisner, a of professor physics at Columbia University at the time, proposed that information could be securely coded by taking advantage of the principle of superposition.

This principle states the “spin” of an electron, a fundamental property that can be oriented “up” or “down,” is indeterminate – meaning that it can be either one or both simultaneously. So while an up or down spin is similar to the zeroes and ones of binary code, the superposition principle means that quantum computers can perform an exponentially greater number of calculations at any given time.

Beyond the ability to perform more functions, Hippke identifies four possible reasons why an ETI would opt for quantum communications. These include “gate-keeping,” quantum supremacy, information security, and information efficiency. “They are preferred over classical communications with regards to security and information efficiency, and they would have escaped detection in all previous searches,” he writes.”

The use of computers has evolved considerably over the past century, from isolated machines to the worldwide web, and possibly to an interplanetary network in the future. Looking to the future, Hippke argues that is not farfetched to believe that humanity may come to rely on an interstellar quantum network that enables distributed quantum computing and the transmission of qubits over long distances.

Based on the assumption that humanity is not an outlier, but representative of the norm (aka. the Copernican Principle) it is logical to assume that an advanced ETI would have created such a network already. Based on humanity’s research into quantum communications, Hippke four possible methods. The first is “polarization encoding,” which relies on the horizontal and vertical polarization of light to represent data.

The second method involves the “Fock state” of photons, where a signal is encoded by alternating between a discreet number of particles and vacuum (similar to binary code). The two remaining options involve either time-bin encoding – where early and late arrival is used – or coherent state of light encoding, where light is amplitude-squeezed or phase-squeezed to simulate a binary code.

Security and Supremacy

Of the many benefits that quantum communications would present for a technologically advanced species, Gate-Keeping is especially interesting because of the implications it could have for SETI. After all, the disparity between what we assume is the statistical likelihood of intelligent life in our Universe and the lack of evidence for it (aka. the Fermi Paradox) cries out for explanations. As Hippke puts it:

“ETI may deliberately choose to make communications invisible for less advanced civilizations. Perhaps most or all advanced civilization feel the need to keep the “monkeys” out of the galactic channel, and let members only participate above a certain technological minimum. Mastering quantum communications may reflect this limit.”

The idea of quantum communication was first argued by Mieczyslaw Subotowicz, a professor of astrophysics at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin (Poland), in 1979. In a paper titled “Interstellar communication by neutrino beams,” Subotowicz argued that the difficulties this method presented would be a selling point to a sufficiently advanced extraterrestrial civilization (ETC).

By opting for a means of communication that has such a small cross-section, an ETC would only be able to communicate with similarly advanced species. However, Hippke noted, this also makes it virtually impossible to detect entangled pairs of neutrinos. For this reason, entangled photons would not only provide for gate-keeping, but they would also be detectable by those meant to receive them.

Similarly, quantum communication is also preferable because of the security it allows for, which is one of the main reasons the technology is being developed here on Earth. Quantum key distribution (QKD) enables two parties to produce a shared key that can be used to encrypt and decrypt secret messages. In theory, this will lead to a new era where encrypted communications and databases are immune to conventional cyber attacks.

In addition, QKD has the unique advantage of letting the two parties detect a potential third party attempting to intercept their messages. Based on quantum mechanics, any attempt to measure a quantum system will collapse the wave function of any entangled particles. This will produce detectable anomalies in the system, which would immediately send up red flags. Said Hippke:

“We do not know whether ETI values secure interstellar communication, but it is certainly a beneficial tool for expansive civilizations which consist of actions, like humanity today. Therefore, it is plausible that future humans (or ETI) have a desire to implement a secure interstellar network.”

Another major advantage to quantum computing is its ability to solve problems exponentially faster than its digital counterparts – what is known as “quantum supremacy.” The classic example is Shor’s algorithm, a polynomial-time quantum algorithm for factoring integers that a conventional computer would take years to solve, but a quantum computer could crack in mere seconds.

In traditional computing, public-key encryption (such as the RSA-2048 encryption) employs mathematical functions that are very difficult and time-consuming to compute. Given that they can accommodate an exponentially greater number of functions, it is estimated that a quantum computer could crack the same encryption in about ten seconds.

Last, but not least, there’s the greater photon information efficiency (PIE) that quantum communications offer over classical channels – measured in bits per photon. According to Hippke, quantum communications will improve the bits per photon efficiency rating by up to one-third. In this regard, the desire for more efficient data transmissions will make the adoption of a quantum network something of an inevitability.

“Turned the other way around, classical channels are energetically wasteful, because they do not use all information encoding options per photon,” he writes. “A quantum advantage of order 1/3 does not seem like much, but why waste it? It is logical to assume that ETI prefers to transmit more information rather than less, per unit energy.”

Challenges

Of course, no SETI-related pitch would be complete without mentioning the possible challenges. For starters, there’s the matter of decoherence, where energy (and hence, information) is lost to the background environment. Where transmissions through interstellar space are concerned, the main issues are distance, free electrons (solar wind), interplanetary dust, and the interstellar medium – low-density clouds of dust and gas.

“As a baseline, the largest distance over which successful optical entanglement experiments have been performed on Earth is 144 km,” notes Hippke. Since the mass density of the Earth’s atmosphere is 1.2 kg m^-3, this means that a signal passing through a column 144 km (~90 mi) in length was dealing with a column density of 1.728×10⁵ kg m^-2. In contrast, the column density between Earth and the nearest star (Proxima Centauri) is eight orders of magnitude lower (3×10^-8 kg m^-2).

Another issue is the delay imposed by a relativistic Universe, which means that messages to even the closest star systems would take years. As a result, quantum computation is something that will be performed locally for the most part, and only condensed qubits will be transmitted between communication nodes. With this in mind, there are a few indications humanity could be on the lookout for in the coming years.

What to Look For?

Depending on the method used to transmit quantum information, certain signatures would result that SETI researchers could identify. At present, SETI facilities that conduct observations in the visible light spectrum are not equipped to receive quantum communications (since the technology does not exist yet). However, they are equipped to detect photons, obtain spectra, and perform polarization experiments.

As such, argues Hippke, they would be able to tease out potential signals from the background noise of space. This is similar to what Professor Lubin suggested in a 2016 paper (“The Search for Directed Intelligence“), where he argued that optical signals (lasers) used for directed-energy propulsion or communications would result in occasional “spillover” that would be detectable.

In much the same way, “errant” photons could be collected by observatories and measured for signs of encoding using various techniques (including the ones identified in the study). One possible method Hippke recommends is long-duration interferometry, where multiple instruments monitor the amplitude and phase of electromagnetic fields in space over time and compare them to a baseline to discern the presence of encoding.

One thing bears consideration though: If by listening in on ETI quantum communications, won’t that cause information to be lost? And if so, would the ETI in question not realize we were listening in? Assuming they were not aware of us before, they sure would be after all this went down! One might conclude that it would be better to not eavesdrop on the conversations of more advanced species!

But that’s a question for another day and another fertile topic for debate (see Beyond Fermi’s Paradox : The “Dark Forest” Hypothesis).

Did Nikola Tesla Unintentionally Detect Signals From Another Civilization?

The great man is gone but… he will be remembered forever!

Those who knew him say he was not a normal human, but a superman, either a reincarnated master – or even an ET with superior mental powers placed here to assist in Earth’s technological development!

Nikola Tesla could have gone down in history as the man who invented the 20th century. Instead his theories were ridiculed and he died alone in a hotel bedroom.

Mostly, he did not improve on already existing technology, but created prototypes and sometimes entire new industries.

Many of his pioneer inventions he carried with him to his grave. But he believed in the destiny of man who, in his words, “searches, discovers and invents, designs and constructs, and covers with monuments of beauty, grandeur and awe, the star of his birth.”(Velikovsky)

Tesla was the first to attempt to communicate with neighboring worlds using radio waves.

In 1899, he was at his laboratory in Colorado Springs, driving monstrous surges of power into the Earth and also beaming energy outward from the 280-foot tower he’d built. He had instruments to record electromagnetic disturbances anywhere within a radius of 1,100 miles. It was an experiment of Frankensteinian proportions.

The signals came periodically, and with such a clear suggestion of number and order that they were not traceable to any cause then known to man.

“I was familiar… with such electrical disturbances as are produced by the sun, Aurora Borealis and earth currents, and I was as sure as I could be of any fact that these variations were due to none of these causes…”

“The nature of my experiments precluded the possibility of the changes being produced by atmospheric disturbances. . . . Although I could not decipher their meaning, it was impossible for me to think of them as having been entirely accidental . . . a purpose was behind these signals. . . . In Collier’s Weekly dated February 9, 1901, Tesla wrote in “Talking with the Planets” as follows:

“I can readily demonstrate that, with an expenditure not exceeding two thousand horse-power, signals can be transmitted to a planet such as Mars with as much exactness and certitude as we now send messages by wire from New York to Philadelphia. These means are the result of long-continued experiment and gradual improvement…”

He claimed he had detected an artificial signal from Mars, or possibly Venus, using high-voltage equipment he had set up at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He also predicted that interplanetary communication would “become the dominating idea of the century that has just begun.”

After informing the world of these signals, he would neither discuss the devices he used nor the signals any further. However, the issue was further researched, according to a report entitled “A Historic Report on Life in Space: Tesla, Marconi, Todd.” mentioned by Stanton T. Friedman, a nuclear physicist and the best-known scientific ufologist in North America and probably the world, in his book Captured!: The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience“.

The purpose of the paper was to examine the original data of Tesla, Marconi and Todd to determine whether or not current science was duplicating the effort made by these men to detect radio frequency communication from extraterrestrial life forms on some distant planet.

“Communication once established, even in the simplest way, as by a mere interchange of numbers, the progress toward more intelligible communication would be rapid.

Absolute certitude as to the receipt and interchange of messages would be reached as soon as we could respond with the number “four,” say, in reply to the signal “one, two, three.”

“The Martians, or the inhabitants of whatever planet had signalled to us, would understand at once that we had caught their message across the gulf of space and had sent back a response. To convey a knowledge of form by such means is, while very difficult, not impossible, and I have already found a way of doing it.

“What a tremendous stir this would make in the world! How soon will it come? For that it will some time be accomplished must be clear to every thoughtful being.

“Something, at least, science has gained. But I hope that it will also be demonstrated soon that in my experiments in the West I was not merely beholding a vision, but had caught sight of a great and profound truth…”

Did Tesla’s experiments transmit radio signals to some of our nearer planets?

According to Su-Shu-Huang of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, stars nearly identical to the sun are most likely to have developed life,” Stanton Friedman writes in his book.

Had Tesla unintentionally detected signals from another civilization or did he simply make an error?

Probably, we’ll never know. Because of his financial problems, (he was not a good businessman, but a true scientist) a large part of his research notes and other papers were auctioned off after his death.

What happened to his other research papers? How much of Tesla’s work remains hidden and confiscated?

Our failure to make contact with ET may actually reflect a Great Deafness rather than a Great Silence, given how brief and sketchy the search has been to date, Shostak told Space.com. But he sees real value in Keats' library project, and in such artistic efforts generally.

"It may seem strange at first that an organization like the SETI Institute, which is mostly about research, would have an artist in residence, and, in fact, a whole bunch of artists in residence. What good is that?" Shostak said. 

"I think it's because it gives you a different point of view," he said. "Artists give you another way of looking at the world — they look at the world completely differently than scientists do."

That's certainly true of Keats, whose projects — many of them space-themed — tend to inspire us to reassess our views of the universe and our place in it. The new library fits this pattern, seeking out an enlightening shift of perspective.

"The Library of the Great Silence is one of these instances where so many of the questions that we seem incapable of addressing — and that we actually are not asking, I don't think, in the way that we need to be asking — can potentially be asked by imagining how they might be asked if those in the conversation were not only us," Keats said.

The incident happened on December 29, 1980, when Betty Cash (51) was returning home in a car with her friend Vickie Landrum (57) and her 7-year old grandson Colby after having dinner at a restaurant, in Dayton, Texas.

In an interview with USAF Capt. John Camp that was held on August 17, 1981, Betty said they headed out to Cleveland on that Monday night to play Bingo. But due to the holiday season, it was closed. They decided to go to New Caney to play the game there but unfortunately, there was also no Bingo. Then they stopped near some restaurant.

At around 9 p.m., while driving through the Piney Woods in Texas, they noticed a bright light above trees. As the Houston International Airport was only 36 miles from their location, they thought it was just the airplane. They were on Farm Market Road 1485 between New Caney and Huffman. When the object approached closer to them, they saw that it was of a diamond shape, the size of the water tower and emitting a very bright light.

According to them, the bottom of the object was emitting flames and intense heat. Betty said that the object lit the entire sky that could be seen 50 miles away. She stopped the car and decided to go out of it to look at the object.

“But tell you the truth, we thought the end of the world was coming. I mean I’d never in my life gone through such a situation. But I knew that there was no way we could go under it the way the fire was shooting out the bottom of it,” Betty said.

The object was hanging down over the pine trees which were almost burned due to heat flames. Betty opened the car door and walked a few steps away. She could not walk further as the heat was so strong that she decided to turn back and get into the car. When she touched the door’s handle, it was hot as fire. She was wearing a leather jacket which she used to open the door. Vickie stayed in the car to accompany her frightened grandson.

When the woman got back into the car, the object made a whooshing sound and seemed to go up. It was very hot inside the car, and the radio was playing on the low volume. Betty felt that her car went dead. She was so afraid that at one point, she wanted to go under it. Then Vickie screamed for her and put her fingers on her car’s dash. The heat was so intense that her fingerprints imbedded to dash, according to Betty.

The witnesses said that the object was about 60-80 feet above the ground and they were 130 feet away from it. Betty noted that they had been seeing the UFO for only 15 minutes or more, but it seemed to them like hours. The incident affected the trio not only mentally but physically. They started experiencing symptoms of acute radiation sickness: headaches, burns, blisters on the inside of the eyelids, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Betty even had worse health conditions as she was the only person who got out of the car.

Betty said:

“I was too sick, by the time I got home, I had blisters all over my head, my face, my back, my neck, I was burning… from the inside out. Vickie is the one that called everybody and tried to get help for me. Because she couldn’t get a doctor to see me at the time, and a policeman in Dayton is the one that gave her the number to call, wasn’t it Vickie?”

Betty’s skin was all red like she had a sunburn. Besides, her neck, face, and eyelids were all swollen. Her condition became so critical that she was hospitalized in three days. Her facial appearance changed a lot and could not be recognized by her friends. She also suffered hair loss due to radiation.

John Schussler, a MUFON founder, and former NASA aerospace engineer investigated the case. He said: “We had done several interviews with Betty and Vickie, and then we went out to the location where this happened. Several weeks after we went to the spot and saw this burned area, someone dug up the road and hauled it away, and replaced it with new asphalt. Some of the witnesses that watched this happen said people brought in unmarked trucks, dug up the road, put the material on the trucks, covered it with a tarpaulin, and drove away.”

According to him, at least 10 people had seen a similar object, while some others claimed to have seen helicopters. Among them was a police officer named L.L. Walker, who saw a helicopter searching for something, followed by other helicopters on the incident night. He noticed they were military helicopters, flying very low, and headed towards the location where Betty and Vickie stopped.

After this, the two women were convinced that the military was involved in it. The Air Force agreed to meet them, and they were invited to Bergstrom Air Force Base where the interview was conducted. But in the end, the military denied any operation that had happened in the location during that night.

Schuessler said:

“One is that it was an experimental craft of some kind, probably from our government. The other, it was an unidentified flying object, possibly extraterrestrial.”

Vickie Landrum who did not believe in aliens and UFOs said that it had to be the government spacecraft. They even filed a lawsuit against the US government but did not succeed. What’s more, in the 2008 UFO Hunters episode “Alien Fallout,” it was shown that the section of highway where the trio had witnessed the horrific incident was replaced. Betty was treated with cancer every year and died 18 years later at the age of 69.

Grey Aliens Killed 60 US Soldiers And Civilians In Underground Battle In New Mexico

American engineer Philip Schneider was born on April 23, 1947. He is known as a person who worked for many years in collaboration with special services of the United States, had access to information of the 3rd level of secrecy, but at some point decided that people should know that they are kept in ignorance or are grossly deceived about everything happening to UFOs and aliens.

Few people had taken the stories of Phil Schneider seriously until he was found dead. At the same time, the circumstances of his death indicated that Phil had been brutally dealt with.

Phil got higher education at an engineering school and later became a geological engineer. He is also known as a civil engineer for the military and aerospace industries.

Phil had his own family, a wife and a child. Oscar Schneider, Phil’s father, was a physician and military officer, who, according to some information, served in a submarine and at the same time managed to fight both for Germany and for the United States. Phil was able to take part in the construction of at least two underground bases for the so-called “secret government,” as well as in the construction of 13 deep-seated military bases underground.

Seeing how such projects are financed, for whom they are being built, and that the basic rights of the people, as well as the US constitution, are violated, in 1994, Phil broke off relations with the American intelligence services and returned all his awards. After that, Phil began working as an ordinary geologist, combining work with revelatory performances. He talked about underground bases, top-secret alien technologies, and the threat togrey humanity that those who seek to establish a New World Order in the direction of aliens hostile to people carry with them.

To popularize the information disclosed in the last two years of his life, Phil spoke a lot in public traveling around the USA and Canada and visited England and Japan. He criticized the government which keeps its citizens in the dark.

In 1995, at a regular lecture, Schneider said that over the past 22 years, 11 of his best friends had died, they knew something about the so-called government “conspiracy theory.” At the same time, eight out of 11 episodes were officially recognized as suicides.

Phil said that he was one of three people who survived the shootout that occurred in 1979 at an underground military base in Dulce between representatives of American intelligence services and aliens. As a result of the influence of an alien weapon, Schneider got a dose of radiation and subsequently fell ill with cancer.

Phil Schneider also claimed that there had been repeated attempts to kill him after he told what he knew. These were attacks with weapons, attempts to push him onto the highway, and even attacks during street fights.

On January 17, 1996, Phil Schneider was found dead in his house in Wilsonville, Oregon. He was lying on the floor next to the piano, and a tube from his own catheter was wound around his neck. However, according to the report, Schneider was shot dead by police officers who came to deal with a large number of unpaid taxes and fines, and during the dialogue, Phil began to behave menacingly, grabbed his weapons, and thus left the law enforcement officers with no choice.

Whatever happened, but by the time of his death, Phil Schneider was very poor in health due to a serious illness (oncology). Suicide was called the official cause of death, although, according to some reports, there were signs of torture on the body. Many ufologists believe that representatives of US intelligence simply removed Schneider because he knew too much.

Gordon Duff, an editor-in-chief of the Veterans Today magazine, called Phil Schneider a UFO witness, believing that he was strikingly deeply aware of the US government’s contacts with aliens.

Schneider worked as a demolition specialist to help build secret underground bases for the US government.

He openly accused the US government and intelligence agencies of covert acts and direct crimes. Some of them deserve special attention:

1. The American government entered into an agreement with the Grey aliens in 1954. This mutually beneficial cooperation agreement is called the “Greada Treaty”. Aliens do not comply with it.
2. The shuttle made special alloys in orbit. A vacuum is needed to create these special metals, and thus the mandate for the ongoing support of the manned space station is justified.
3. Most of the aircraft technology with Stealth technology was developed due to the study of an alien ship that crashed in the United States.
4. AIDS was invented at the National Ordinance Laboratory in Chicago, Illinois, and developed as a virus to control the human population.
5. It is a secret that the US government has a device for causing earthquakes. The San Francisco earthquake in 1989 and the Kobe earthquake in 1995 did not have a pulse wave, which confirms their artificial origin.
6. The bombing at the World Trade Center (09/11/2001) and the bombing in Oklahoma City (04/19/1995) were carried out using miniature nuclear devices. This is indicated by the melting and pitting of concrete with the displacement of metal rods that make up the frame of concrete structures (it is worth recalling that Phil was an engineer and explosives were one of his strengths).
7. Bikini Atoll was destroyed by nuclear weapons due to the fact that there was an underwater base of aliens.
8. The strategic defense initiative (SDI) was actually conceived as a defense against alien invasions.
9. A large number of underground military bases have been built in the United States (~ 130), up to 2 km deep, and they are similar in size to cities. Bases were built in case of a declaration of war. The bases are interconnected by high-speed monorails, on which trains move at a speed of 2 Mach (~ 2380 km/h) on a “magnetic cushion”, hovering 3/4 inch (~ 2 cm) above the rail.
10. The secret plan of the high Grays to establish on the planet a New World Order, managed by the UN, which they secretly control.

The UFO problem was dealt with by an organization specially created by the order of the US government back in 1933. According to the research of this organization, in 1935, the presence of aliens on Earth became a recognized fact. Over the next 20 years, employees tried to find out the intentions of space aliens and establish contact with them. And this happened in 1954: on February 20-21, President Dwight Eisenhower met with representatives of an alien civilization.

The first meeting was unsuccessful: the aliens refused to transfer any advanced technologies to earthlings (represented by the Americans), but they demanded to stop the development of certain types of weapons. The United States did not agree to stop its military projects and, of course, could not vouch for the rest of the world.

Contacts continued and, as a result, the so-called “Greada Treaty” was concluded. What the contracting parties agreed on:

• The aliens do not interfere in the affairs of earthlings.
• Earthlings (represented by the US government) keep secret the fact of the presence of aliens on Earth.
• Aliens help in technical development. This applies only to the American nation.
• Aliens can take people and animals for scientific purposes. People after research should come back, and memories of contacts with aliens should be deleted from their memories.

The consequence of this agreement was the creation of numerous underground bases on which earthlings mastered extraterrestrial technology, and aliens conducted their experiments on “human material”.

Gray aliens are employees of a powerful extraterrestrial civilization, the existence of which earthlings had to face in their historical past. The presumptive basis of the alien ideology is the unification of intelligent species of the Universe into a single Union, and regardless of the form of life itself (biological, ethereal, or other)

Judging by past events, alien political principles imply the non-violent conversion of planets to their ideology. The mail idea of aliens about a single type of intelligent life form is reduced to the fact that the population of the planets loses memory of the past and turns into beings with the given characteristics. To implement this program, aliens use advanced bioengineering technologies. The final stage of their mission is to implement the necessary information, while information about the past of the subordinate culture does not matter anymore.

There was a time when the Senate majority leader spent more time behind the scenes than in front of the camera … a time when the majority leader was just as concerned about unexplained mysteries as explaining the obvious. That majority leader was former Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, who became known after leaving office as a politician so concerned about UFOs that he formed a secret study to investigate them – a study that became the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), then the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and today the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force, which is in the news because it has promised a report to Congress in June on what our government knows about UFOs. That’s why Harry Reid is in the news again, and he gave his insights and opinions recently to George Knapp at Mystery Wire. Let’s look at a few of Reid’s more interesting and revealing comments.

“He should at least have the ability saying I’ve been briefed on the subject. I have no opinion on whatever he wants to say. But yes, I think that the topic of UFOs is not going away. It’s becoming more pronounced for a lot of different reasons. So he can’t ignore the subject. Even if he wanted to.”

Reid believes President Biden, who he worked with when he was Senator Biden, needs to be well-briefed on the subject of UFOs and the contents of the report well before it comes out … assuming it does — backing out for security reasons is always a possibility.

“The federal government no longer, including people at the Pentagon, no longer criticize or harass or stop promotions of people who report these occurrences. In fact, they have done just the opposite in recent months, they now tell their pilots, (inaudible), to report these unusual circumstances. And I appreciated the honesty of the Pentagon. Because when asked, what were these things, they say we don’t know. Rather than try to say they were balloons from some kind of a weather experiment. They say we don’t know.”

Reid is impressed at how much has changed in the Pentagon’s response to UFO sightings by the public and especially by military pilots since he first got involved – referring to one of the “weather balloon” responses given after the Roswell UFO Incident that has become the jokey, skeptical response to many sightings. He thinks the improvements in recording equipment and commercial pilots using cell phones has resulted in a substantial improvement in backup evidence for these sightings.

Reid believes both China and Russia have very sophisticated drones that fly in swarms and this could explain some of the recently released Navy sightings, although he seems to dislike the term “drones” because it’s too generic and the UFOs reported are often unique. When asked what he thought would happen if materials recovered after a UFO sighting were not of Earth, he said this:

“I don’t know how the public will react. But I think as long as we understand that, we need to make sure that we are scientifically driven, that we’re going to be okay. And if it’s coming from places we don’t understand, that’s still okay. As long as we understand that there’s stuff coming from other places. I have no problem whatsoever with it.”

Harry Reid

Reid places a high degree of confidence in science – if scientists say this is true, then he believes the public will believe it or at least better accept it. That’s a lot different than the attitude of many current Washington politicians who question science relentlessly. That includes people like Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who is a champion of UFO disclosure but questions science in other areas. Let’s hope Reid is not alone in this. He’s always been very open to the mainstream press about UFOs and he closes with his reason why.

“Here in Vegas I’ll go into an elevator, someone will see me, “Are you Harry Reid?” “Yes.” “Thank you very much.” And they’ll usually say for your work on flying saucers. So people are aware that we’ve been doing things on the subject of interest to the American people. I’m going to continue doing that. And I’m not going to be repressed by people saying why the hell would you spend your time on something important? I think this is important.”

It is, Senator Reid … it certainly is.

In my previous article I wrote about the late Mac Tonnies’ theory that the UFO phenomenon just might be based right here, on Earth. And that the Cryptoterrestrials – as Tonnies termed our presumed aliens – may have always lived on Earth, masquerading as ETs to hide their true origins and agendas. In that same article, one of the things I mentioned was that on more than a few occasions, the Cryptoterrestrials camouflage themselves to hide their real appearances that are slightly different to ours. With that said, I’ll share with you a few examples of this particularly creepy side of Ufology. In 2015, Dr. David M. Jacobs’ book, Walking Among Us: The Alien Plan to Control Humanity, was published. As the title alone suggests, this is an extremely controversial book. Although it is heavily focused on so-called “alien abductees,” it is not actually about abduction events, at all. Rather, its focus is on how human society is being nothing less than infiltrated. And, yes, that word “infiltrate” is intended to suggest that nothing good can come from all of this. We’re talking about the ways in which potentially hostile creatures – with no real regard for us, the Human Race – are doing what they can to roam around and without being noticed as something strange. In Walking Among Us, some of these entities are described as looking “sickly,” and as having extremely smooth, and very pale, skin.

Just like the Women in Black (WIB). Jacobs talks about one particular creature being “greatly overdressed for the summer and his slicked-down hairstyle was wrong.” That, too, is reminiscent of so many WIB and MIB reports. They often arrive at the homes of people in vintage, black cars. They are often described as wearing wigs, and particularly so female hybrids who wear their fake hair black and long. Here’s another aspect to the story: Karen Totten is an artist and sculptor who has had a wealth of anomalous experiences throughout her life, one of which was with an entity that falls definitively into the Woman in Black category. She says of one case in the 1970s: “…when I was 17 I was working in a small convenience store, when a ‘woman’ came in to buy cigarettes. At first I didn’t pay any attention to her until I saw her hand (when she handed me the money) – it was not like a normal human hand. This startled me so I looked up and saw a very pale entity, wearing a thin black coat (like a rain coat) with collar turned up to cover her neck, a heavy long haired wig, and very large black glasses. This did not entirely hide her strange face: a very pointed chin, scant lip and nose. She did not speak. Took her cigarettes and left! I was kinda stunned. Oddly I cannot remember the details of her hand (though it was the first thing I noticed). Nor do I think she left in a car which was odd since most patrons drove up the store (it was somewhat isolated).”  Totten continued: “…whether this entity is a ‘gray’ or a ‘hybrid,’ I can only guess.” Now, onto the 1980s.

In early 1987, a very bizarre incident occurred at a Manhattan bookstore. Bruce Lee – who worked as a senior editor at a New York publishing house, William Morrow & Co. – walked into a bookstore on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was the now-closed-down Womrath’s, on Lexington Avenue. Also with Lee was his wife. Womrath’s had a large display set up for Communion and they also stocked a couple of Lee’s own books. That was not the only unusual thing about that fateful, Saturday afternoon. Both the man and the woman were barely five feet in height – maybe even slightly smaller. They had scarves that covered their chins, hats pulled tightly down, and huge, black sunglasses. They also appeared to begin speed-reading the book, noting out loud – one might even suggest for Lee’s benefit – where Strieber had “got this wrong” and “got that wrong.” The woman suddenly looked up, at which point Lee was able to see through her sunglasses that her eyes were not just large, but huge, and shaped like almonds. Lee, by his own admission, felt the hackles on the back of his neck rise, and got a “mad dog” feeling emanating from the woman. And, finally…

Both the WIB and the MIB are noted for their distinct awkwardness around food – both preferring to ingest nothing more than pills. Jacobs’ book is packed with accounts of these creatures being baffled by food, how it should be eaten (with or without utensils), what should be eaten cooked and what should be eaten raw, and so on. Men in Black expert Gareth Medway notes of this issue in relation to a summer 1967 case: “A man in a black suit with a pointed chin, ‘thyroid eyes’ and ‘long, tapering fingers’ went into Max’s Kansas City, New York, and ordered ‘food,’ being apparently unable to read the menu, and not knowing how to use a knife and fork. He told a waitress he was from ‘another world.'” Are we really being infiltrated by beings that can pass among us with just a few changes to their appearances? Don’t bet against it.

“The residents of the Monteagudo neighborhood in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, are convinced that a few nights ago an alien with an appearance similar to the mythical “chupacabra” visited the area.”

“The being has very large eyes, but they claim that it lacks vision, and that it has hands with three fingers. Prior to its appearance, the neighbors observed a UFO shaped d in the sky . halo of light that landed on the spot.” (Google translation)

Telemundo and other media sites are reporting on a recent UFO sighting in Bolivia with numerous witnesses who took photos and videos of the craft, which some said emitted a thunderous noise and spewed or ‘threw’ fire. They also claimed to have observed an alien from the ship whose characteristics convinced them it was a Chupacabra, the legendary bloodsucking cryptid. Is Could this finally solve the mysteries of the Chupacabra, UFOs and aliens all at once?

“According to the residents, after the outbreak the alleged alien was seen wandering the streets and they say that he had a resemblance to the legendary ‘Chupacabra’, frightening children and young people. According to the same neighbors, minutes after his supposed disappearance, the light in the sky went out, leaving traces in the form of circles in the grass.”

Those up on their Chupacabra lore know that the ‘real’ goat-sucker was first reported in Puerto Rico in 1995 after goats and other small livestock were found dead in the towns of Morovis and Orocovis with strange marks on their necks and allegedly drained of blood. Some looking for a plausible cause or explanation connected this to a widespread report in 1984 of a UFO crashing in Puerto Rico’s El Yunque rainforest – a circular UFO that allegedly contained chupacabras which NASA, the U.S. Air Force, and the CIA allegedly picked up along with the crashed UFO. Other connected it to an incident in 1957 when a UFO reportedly crashed in Canovanas, and the dead and alive Chupacabras found at the site were taken to the Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Ceiba.

“Aliaga, who is dedicated to paranormal issues, asked scientists for help to study what happened, but a psychologist suggests that it is a collective stress and that the inhabitants should receive attention in the face of what happened.”

Javier Aliaga, identified as a ufologist, may have heard about the origin story of the Chupacabra, but whatever he said to local authorities was not enough to convince them to call in the Bolivian Air Force or their equivalent of the CIA or NASA. Instead, it seems a psychologist attributed the stories to mass hysteria – despite the videos and photos of UFOs and the drawings of the creatures (see them here) made by witnesses, who described the ‘alien’ as approximately 30 centimeters (12 inches) tall, with an oval head, large eyes and three fingers on its hands.

Three fingers?

Has Puerto Rico’s alien Chupacabra returned? There’s far from enough evidence to confirm this or identify the flying objects in the videos and photos. More investigation is obviously needed. In the meantime, the witnesses on the news report look and sound like they saw something they won’t soon forget and would probably like some answers. Good luck with that.

In a new article at his UFO Conjectures blog titled “Something almost odd…” Rich Reynolds touches upon Mac Tonnies’ 2010 book, The Cryptoterrestrials. Its subtitle: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us. Tonnies’ third book happened to be his last one. He died in 2009. Given that the book, and its theories, are now being discussed again, I thought I would give you my thoughts on Tonnies’ particularly controversial theory on UFOs and aliens. Namely, that our presumed visitors are really the vestiges of an ancient race of beings that have always lived right here on planet Earth. In other words, the ETs – that so many people believe in – are really from here and nowhere else. But, to protect themselves from being exposed, they present themselves as aliens from faraway worlds. It’s certainly not a new theory, but Tonnies gave the whole thing a good spin. He also presented some thoughts and ideas that, admittedly, made a lot of sense. On the other hand, though, the scenario has its flaws, too. With that said, let’s have a look at the scenario of the “aliens that actually aren’t” and try and figure out what the truth might really be.

Certainly, one of the things that really got Tonnies thinking was the undeniable “staged” nature of some UFO events. The Contactees of the 1950s caught Tonnies’ attention. He wondered why the so-called “Space Brothers” and “Space Sisters” of that long gone era warned so many people that we needed to lay down our atomic weapons. If not, the end of our civilization would soon be looming on the horizon, said the long-haired wise ones. Tonnies thought it was very strange that beings from a faraway world would take so much interest in – and have so much concern for – our world. Maybe a few decades or so, but that was pretty much it. He also brought into the story the matter of the so-called “star map” the alleged aliens showed to Betty and Barney while on-board the “spaceship.” The idea that aliens from light-years away would need to navigate the universe with maps is fucking ridiculous. Totally crazy. We can navigate just about anywhere with our phones. And yet, the aliens, back in the Sixties, had to resort to maps?  Come on! Also on the alien abduction issue, Tonnies mused on the possibility that being from Earth all along – but now on a dangerous, evolutionary decline – the Cryptoterrestrials might take eggs, sperm, DNA and so on from us to try and “beef up” their society, and particularly so if they weren’t in great condition. Using us, because we are the closest thing to them, makes a great deal of sense. But, for our visitors to come from countless light-years away, and for them to be near-perfect compatible when it comes to splicing us and them, so to speak. is just not feasible.

Now, we come to the creepiest part of the story. Namely, the numerous accounts Tonnies came across of strange beings “infiltrating” our society. Tonnies had a lot of cases of people encountering what were assumed to have been aliens, but that seemed to be something else. And by wearing wraparound sunglasses, pulled-down hats, collars placed high, and mainly coming out at night, they were able to worm their way into our world and not be overly noticed. This reminds me of the reports of the strange-looking Men in Black – pale, skinny, and with bulging eyes – that have been around for decades. So, it has to be said that Tonnies did present some interesting material – and equally interesting scenarios. There was, however, one big issue that he wasn’t able to tackle fully. It revolves around the matter of where the Cryptoterrestrials live. It’s all very well to address the nature and agendas of the Cryptoterrestrials, but where are they when they’re not abducting us or warning us of nuclear destruction?

Tonnies touched on the matter of the likes of “underground bases” and so on. But, not to a degree that really worked on a worldwide scale. Is it feasible that an entire civilization of Cryptoterrestrials could live deep underground, and all across the planet? If so, why don’t we see them regularly soaring out of ancient caves and huge tunnels in their craft? Back to Rich Reynolds. He has been looking at the idea of an indigenous race living not on land, but in the oceans of our world. I can’t say that if we put all of the above together it gives us a perfect scenario; it doesn’t. However, it could be said that the Cryptoterrestrial angle has at least more than a few things going for it. Maybe, it’s time for someone to carry on with the work that Tonnies did up until 2009. There may be some incredible surprises to be found. And those same surprises just might come from right here.

In a new article at his UFO Conjectures blog titled “Something almost odd…” Rich Reynolds touches upon Mac Tonnies’ 2010 book, The Cryptoterrestrials. Its subtitle: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us. Tonnies’ third book happened to be his last one. He died in 2009. Given that the book, and its theories, are now being discussed again, I thought I would give you my thoughts on Tonnies’ particularly controversial theory on UFOs and aliens. Namely, that our presumed visitors are really the vestiges of an ancient race of beings that have always lived right here on planet Earth. In other words, the ETs – that so many people believe in – are really from here and nowhere else. But, to protect themselves from being exposed, they present themselves as aliens from faraway worlds. It’s certainly not a new theory, but Tonnies gave the whole thing a good spin. He also presented some thoughts and ideas that, admittedly, made a lot of sense. On the other hand, though, the scenario has its flaws, too. With that said, let’s have a look at the scenario of the “aliens that actually aren’t” and try and figure out what the truth might really be.

Certainly, one of the things that really got Tonnies thinking was the undeniable “staged” nature of some UFO events. The Contactees of the 1950s caught Tonnies’ attention. 5 september 1977. Voyager 1 wordt vanop Cape Canaveral gelanceerd. Bijna 44 jaar later zweeft de onbemande sonde nog altijd rond, inmiddels in de interstellaire ruimte, op 22,7 miljard kilometer van onze planeet. Voyager 1 blijft ook informatie doorsturen naar de aarde. De brandstof raakt nu wel stilaan op. Wetenschappers hopen dat Voyager 1 het nog tot zijn vijftigste missieverjaardag in 2027 kan rekken.

Hoe zou het nog zijn met Voyager 1, één van de oudste ruimtesondes en het verst van de aarde verwijderde door de mens gemaakte object ooit? Wel, na bijna 44 jaar dienst in de ruimte zendt de sonde nog altijd informatie door naar de aarde, ook al zoeft Voyager 1 verder en verder weg van ons en van de zon, aan een snelheid van 17 kilometer per seconde. Elk jaar legt de sonde zo 3,5 AE (astronomische eenheden) af. Eén AE is de gemiddelde afstand tussen de aarde en de zon en bedraagt ongeveer 149,6 miljoen kilometer.

In 1979 vloog de Voyager 1 voorbij Jupiter en maakte de sonde gedurende enkele maanden foto’s van de planeet. In november 1980 bestudeerde de ruimtesonde Saturnus. Daarna vond Voyager 1 geen planeten meer op zijn weg.

Nog voor de lancering van Voyager 1 was astrofysicus Bill Kurth (universiteit van Iowa) er al mee in de weer. Volgens hem wist in 1977 niemand zeker waar de heliopauze of de uiterste grens van ons zonnestelsel zich bevond. Maar in augustus 2012 vloog Voyager 1 het zonnestelsel uit en bereikte zo de interstellaire ruimte. Onder meer daaruit bleek de heliopauze op een afstand van zo’n 120 AE te liggen, een pak verder dan veel wetenschappers dachten.

Volgens Jon Richardson, astrofysicus aan het befaamde MIT, blijft Voyager 1 de uitlopers van de zon voelen, miljarden kilometers voorbij de heliopauze. “De zon heeft nog altijd een groot effect, ver buiten de heliosfeer”, aldus Richardson. De ruimtesonde zweeft ook nog altijd binnen het zwaartekrachtveld van de zon. Wetenschappers verwachten dat de Voyager 1 over ongeveer 300 jaar de Oortwolk zal binnendringen, die veronderstelde sluier van kometen die zich tot op enkele lichtjaren van ons uitstrekt. Van de Oortwolk is nog nooit bewijs geleverd en dat zal waarschijnlijk ook niet van Voyager 1 komen. De sonde leeft nu al in extra tijd. Tegen 2025 zal de sonde waarschijnlijk geen enkel instrument meer kunnen voorzien van stroom. Al hopen wetenschappers als Kurth erop dat Voyager 1 in 2027 zijn vijftigste verjaardag na de lancering zal halen. “Dat zou een mijlpaal zijn die geen van de ontwerpers van Voyager 1 ooit had kunnen voorzien”, weet Kurth.

UFOs: Retired Navy Commander Describes His Sighting In 2004 | The Overview | NBC News

He doesn’t run the Pentagon’s secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) UFO investigation program anymore, but former head Luis Elizondo still commands attention when he talks about anything having to do with unidentified aerial phenomena and the U.S. government’s involvement with them – whether it’s Navy pilots and crew members seeing them, the government refusing to talk about them and anything in between. That’s why he’s in the news this week – Elizondo is weighing in on the promised (by the Trump administration) release of evidence and reports about UAPs by US intelligence agencies in June.

“This isn’t a silly conversation. This is a conversation about someone, somewhere displaying beyond-next-generation technology in our controlled airspace, and there’s not a whole lot we can do about it. And what I would do is submit to you that if we just take the word UFO out of it, just say Russia or China has the ability to fly in our airspace unimpeded. And without detection, within minutes of taking off. That’s a real problem.”

In a news conference this week, Elizondo answered reports’ questions about the national security implications of foreign – earthly or extraterrestrial – aircraft in U.S. airspace that not only show up undetected but outperform our own by an order of magnitude or more in speed and maneuverability.

“And therein lies part of the challenge. I’ve been privy to witness to many extraordinary things. Unfortunately, ones that are classified I I’m not going to elaborate or share. But I’ve said for the record before, we’ve had video, you know, some of these videos are 20, 25 minutes long. In other cases, these things are 50 feet away from the cockpit, very compelling.”

In segments published by Mystery Wire, Elizondo assures the reporters that investigators don’t jump to conclusions based on single videos or reports, and he’s seen many of them but can’t comment because they’re classified. Will he be able to after the June release? He didn’t say, but he did reveal one particular series of UAP incidents that concern him greatly.

“There seems to be a very distinct congruency between UAP, associated UAP activity and and our nuclear technology, whether it be propulsion or weapon systems or whatnot. And that’s concerning to the point where we’ve actually had some of our nuclear capabilities disabled by these things. So, you know, again, let’s put this into context of foreign adversarial technology if Russia or China had the ability to disable our nuclear strike capability or defense capability. That’s pretty significant.”

That’s interesting because many people in the UFO research field who believe they are extraterrestrial also think the alien civilization controlling them is a benevolent one trying to stop humans from destroying themselves with nuclear weapons – hence the sudden and unexplained facility shutdowns. Elizondo sees the cause as earthly bad actors, but he has no proof … at least none he’s willing to share.

“I don’t know the answer. frankly, I don’t think anybody does. And anybody who tells you they do, I would approach them very cautiously. The bottom line is we don’t know. And we need to ask all the questions.”

Excellent advice. In fact, Elizondo will be right there with the reporters asking questions, because he believes this will not be a final report but an interim, with more to come.

“So, you know, I don’t think it’s going to be anything more than a ‘Hey, yep, there’s something here. We don’t know what it is. It could be some sort of new super advanced drone technology, but it could be something else. And here’s our here’s our plan for trying to figure it out.’ That would be that would be my hope and suggestion. And I think that’s, that’s probably more or less what, what we can expect.”

That’s coming from someone who was once on the inside collecting this data. Is he bracing alien believers for no evidence in their favor … while at the same time hinting that, four years after he left AATIP where he saw UFOs pulling as many as 700 G-forces, flying at altitudes from 50 feet to 80,000 feet to underwater without a compromise in performance, having “no wings, no cockpits, no control surfaces, no rivets in the skin, no obvious signs of propulsion”, the government still has no idea what he saw or where they came from?

Is Luis Elizondo a brave whistleblower or an attention-seeker? We’ll know more in June.

Now and again, I’ve heard people in the UFO field claim that after the sensational story of the recovery of a “flying disc” by the U.S. Army Air Force outside of Roswell, New Mexico surfaced in early July 1947, everything went quiet. And that there was no more talk about Roswell until the mid-1970s. The seventies were when both Stan Friedman and Bill Moore (the latter being the co-author with Charles Berlitz of 1980’s The Roswell Incident) started to dig into the story. And, in doing so, uncovered a wealth of data that, collectively, strongly suggested what came down on the Foster Ranch in Lincoln County, New Mexico, was not a regular balloon. A lot of people may not be aware, though, that there was a brief flurry of interest in Roswell in the mid-1960s. Had the UFO community decided to get deep into the case in the sixties, rather than wait until the mid-seventies, just maybe we would know far more of the legendary case than we do right now. All of this brings us to a man named Frank Edwards; a man with a fascination for the UFO mystery. In 1966, Edwards’ book Flying Saucers – Serious Business was published. Chapter four of the book is titled “Pick Up the Pieces.” It’s in that chapter you’ll see that Edwards turned his attention to the Roswell case that would eventually become known to just about everyone.

Before we get to Edwards, let’s see what the initial coverage on the Roswell event amounted to. On July 8, 1947, the public information officer at the Roswell base, Walter Haut, sent out a press release that told a startling story: “The many rumors regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence office of the 509th Bomb group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc through the cooperation of one of the local ranchers and the sheriff’s office of Chaves County. The flying object landed on a ranch near Roswell sometime last week. Not having phone facilities, the rancher stored the disc until such time as he was able to contact the sheriff’s office, who in turn notified Maj. Jesse A. Marcel of the 509th Bomb Group Intelligence Office. Action was immediately taken and the disc was picked up at the rancher’s home. It was inspected at the Roswell Army Air Field and subsequently loaned by Major Marcel to higher headquarters.” And, in just mere days the whole thing was dismissed by the media (when the military said the wreckage came from nothing stranger than a weather balloon) and the whole thing fell into obscurity. Now, let’s see what Edwards had to briefly say in 1966:

“There are such difficult cases as the rancher near Roswell, New Mexico, who phoned the Sheriff that a blazing disc-shaped object had passed over his house at low altitude and had crashed and burned on a hillside within view of the house. The sheriff called the military; the military came on the double quick. Newsmen were not permitted in the area. A week later, however, the government released a photograph of a service man holding up a box kite with an aluminum disc about the size of a large pie plate dangling from the bottom of the kite. This, the official report explained, was a device borne aloft on the kite and used to test radar gear by bouncing the signals off the pie pan. And this, we were told, was the sort of thing that had so excited the rancher. We were NOT told, however, how the alleged kite caught fire – nor why the military cordoned off the area while they inspected the wreckage of a burned-out kite with a non-inflammable pie pan tied to it.”

Kevin Randle said of Edwards’ version of events: “While the report was essentially correct in a gross sense, the details were nearly all wrong. But the point is that Edwards had exposed the Roswell case to a wide audience in 1966, when the book was published. Nearly everyone ignored the case because of the lack of detail, other than a location in the then small and anonymous town of Roswell.” Randle was correct. Edwards did get the key issues wrong. But, the important thing is that Edwards pursued a genuinely weird case that had been forgotten by so many for two decades. Had Edwards chosen to look deeper and further into what did or didn’t happen at Roswell back then, just maybe he would have found significant things concerning the case that still elude us to this very day.

Grâce aux variations naturelles de la luminosité des quasars. Et aux moments différents où elles se montrent dans chaque image après que la lumière a parcouru un chemin différent dans l'Univers.

En 2011, le télescope spatial Hubble avait permis de découvrir cette belle croix d’Einstein formée par un quasar situé à 11 milliards d’années-lumière de notre Terre, dans la direction de la constellation de Pégase.

Possible Cryptid “Nightcrawler” Appears On Highway Near Sydney

Mitch Kuhne was driving back to the Gold Coast along the Hume Highway near Bardia, Sydney just before 8pm on Sunday when he claims to have spotted a small child standing on the road, reports

Mr Kuhne reported and claims he was later told by an officer that the child had been found but police have since said that while a search was conducted no child was discovered in the area.

When we take a closer look at the “ghost” child then the shape of the figure resembles that of the so-called Nightcrawlers.

These peculiar creatures drift eerily through the night, leaving many wondering if their origins are earthly or extra\terrestrial.

According to Native American folklore, these creatures, strange upright standing thin creatures with no arms, have existed for hundreds of years and have lived along-side humans peacefully.

Despite there is very little evidence to prove that these so-called Nightcrawlers are real undiscovered cryptids, in 2011, there have been multiple CCTV camera sightings of strange upright standing thin creatures with no arms walking endlessly at night.

The first appearance of a Nightcrawler took place in Fresno, California and the second appearance took place in Yosemite National Park.

NASA’s Perseverance Rover Just Turned Martian CO2 Into Oxygen

It's the "first instrument to produce oxygen on another world."

“Oxygen isn’t just the stuff we breathe,” he added. “Rocket propellant depends on oxygen, and future explorers will depend on producing propellant on Mars to make the trip home.”

To get a crew of four astronauts off of the Martian surface, you would need about 15,000 pounds of rocket fuel and 55,0000 pounds of oxygen, according to NASA. To breathe, though, you’d only need about a metric ton for a crew of four for an entire year, according to MOXIE’s principal investigator Michael Hecht.

Schlepping all that oxygen all the way to Mars would be complicated and costly. That’s why scientists are considering extracting oxygen in situ.

To convert the carbon dioxide, MOXIE had to heat up the gas to about 1,470 degrees Fahrenheit. It managed to produce about five grams of oxygen, which is about 10 minutes worth of breathable oxygen. It generates up to ten grams of oxygen per hour.

Hecht is now planning to “push the envelope” and have MOXIE try new operating modes or attempt to extract oxygen at varying temperatures.

“MOXIE isn’t just the first instrument to produce oxygen on another world,” said Trudy Kortes, director of technology demonstrations within the Directorate. It’s also the first to lay the groundwork for future missions that could make use of in situ resources.

First, we had NASA’s Mars helicopter Ingenuity perform the first ever controlled flight on the surface of another planet — and now this. Hats off to NASA’s tremendous efforts to bring Mars nearer to us than ever before.

After a two-hour warmup period, MOXIE began producing oxygen at a rate of 6 grams per hour. The rate was reduced two times during the run (labeled as “current sweeps”) in order to assess the status of the instrument. After an hour of operation the total oxygen produced was about 5.4 grams, enough to keep an astronaut healthy for about 10 minutes of normal activity.

Hair Of The Alien: Abduction Case Of Peter Khoury

An abduction case from Australia has resulted in what may be the world’s first DNA test of abduction-related biological material.

The intriguing results raise many questions about the physical nature of abduction and also illustrate the need for more intensive scientific research on this worldwide mystery.

The full case report by leading Australian researcher Bill Chalker was published in the Spring 1999 edition of International UFO Reporter, the quarterly journal of the Chicago-based J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). The following summary is published with Chalker’s permission and assistance.

Peter Khoury, the subject of this case, was born in Lebanon in 1964 and moved to Australia in 1973. There he met his future wife Vivian at school in 1981. Peter and Vivian were married in 1990 and now have two children. They live in Sydney. Peter works in the building trades and has owned his own business in cement rendering.

Peter and Vivian had their first UFO experience in February 1988, a simple sighting of unusual moving lights. But in July of that year, Peter had a deeply disturbing, consciously remembered contact experience that, he says, changed his life. While lying on his bed, he felt something grab his ankles. He suddenly felt numb and paralyzed, but remained conscious.

Then he noticed three or four small hooded figures alongside the bed. He experienced telepathic communication with one or more of these beings; he was told to relax and not be afraid because “it would be like last time.” He then saw that they were about to insert a long needle into the side of his head, whereupon he blacked out.

He jolted awake some time later, leaped out of bed and ran into the living room where he found his father and brother apparently dozing. Both he and his brother felt that only 10 minutes had passed since they had last been awake, but they soon realized that an hour or more had passed. The next morning, Peter and Vivian noticed that there was an obvious puncture mark on the side of his head, with a trace of dried blood.

At this time, Peter had never heard of alien abduction. His memories were vivid and alarming, but he could find neither answers nor comfort from friends and acquaintances. Then, some months later, he and Vivian drove by a roadside billboard with an image of Whitley Strieber’s book “Communion,” and they immediately got the book. Peter found numerous details in Strieber’s account that matched his own strange experience.

Peter’s subsequent attempts to connect with local UFO groups and experiencers proved frustrating. Eventually, in April 1993, he resolved to found a new group in Sydney, the UFO Experience Support Association (UFOESA), dedicated to helping people understand and cope with their unusual encounters. He remains the coordinator of that group today.

In July 1992, Peter had the experience that became the focus of this case study. Because the experience had disturbing sexual aspects, Peter was very reticent to talk about it.

He first mentioned it to Bill Chalker, one of Australia’s leading researchers, in 1996. He showed Chalker that he had recovered an unusual strand of hair from the encounter.

At the time, Chalker felt he could not do anything with the physical evidence, but over the next several years, he assembled a group of scientists and forensic investigators willing to work on UFO-related cases.

With his “invisible college” associates, Chalker discussed the possibility of doing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and sequencing of mitochondrial DNA that might be recovered from Peter Khoury’s hair sample.

In early 1998, these researchers — now calling themselves the Anomaly Physical Evidence Group — agreed to do the DNA testing on the hair sample.

Chalker points out that “alien” beings are most often described by experiencers as having no visible hair. But one type — sometimes called “Nordic” — is described fairly often as having distinctly human-like features including hair, often (though not always) blond in color.

A number of well-known abduction cases have involved human-looking beings with hair, including the 1975 abduction reported by Travis Walton in Arizona, and the 1957 Brazilian abduction reported by Antonio Villas Boas. Peter Khoury’s case has some similarity to that of Villas Boas, who said he was forced to have sex with an aggressive humanoid female aboard a landed UFO.

Khoury told Chalker that his encounter of July 23, 1992 began at 7:30 in the morning while he was in bed. He had recently been injured at work and was taking pain medication. Earlier that morning, he had driven his wife to work, then returned home and went back to bed for a short while. Suddenly, he bolted wide awake and sat up. There were two humanoid females sitting on the bed, both entirely naked.

These two women looked human in nearly every way. They had well proportioned adult bodies. One looked somewhat Asian, with straight dark shoulder-length hair and dark eyes.

The other looked perhaps Scandinavian, with light-colored (“maybe bluish”) eyes and long blond hair that fell half-way down her back. Her hair was especially notable to Peter Khoury. “I had never seen a hair style like that. It was curled something like Farrah Fawcett, but to an extreme… It just looked really exotic in a way,” he told Chalker.

But Khoury felt that these women were not exactly human. Their faces were somewhat odd — not unattractive, but too chiseled, with very high cheekbones and eyes that were two or three times larger than normal. Khoury took special notice of the blonde. Her face was too long, he felt. “I have never seen a human looking like that,” he said.

The blonde, who was sitting in a kneeling position on the bed, seemed to be in charge. Khoury thought she was communicating telepathically with the dark-haired woman, who was sitting with her legs partly folded under her. There was something stiff, almost blank, in the expressions of the women, Khoury thought.

Though stunned by the sudden appearance of the women, Khoury had only a few moments to consider how they could possibly have arrived in his bedroom before the blonde reached out with both her hands and cupped the back of his head, drawing his face toward her chest. He resisted. She pulled harder.

He kept pulling back. “She was pretty strong,” he told Chalker. “She pulled me over and my mouth was basically on her nipple. And I bit.”

Khoury said he doesn’t know why he bit the woman, but even though he felt a small piece of her nipple come away in his teeth, she did not cry out. But “the expression on her face was like, ‘this isn’t the way.’ In a way it was shock or confusion… She looked at the Asian one… and looked at me like, this isn’t the way it’s supposed to happen. You’ve done this wrong.”

Involuntarily, Khoury swallowed the small fragment in his mouth, and it caught in his throat. He went into a coughing fit. Suddenly, the two women simply disappeared.

Once he realized the women were gone, he tried to clear his throat by drinking water. It didn’t work. Then he had an urge to go to the bathroom. He realized that his penis felt very painful. Standing in the bathroom, he pulled back the foreskin and found two thin blond strands of hair wrapped tightly around.

He struggled to unravel the pieces of hair as the pain became an intense burning sensation. Finally he managed to removed the two pieces of hair and immediately put them in a small sealable plastic bag.

“The reason I did that was because I knew that there was no way, no way at all, that a hair that size and wrapped around the way it was should have been there…. Thinking of these women, the thing in my throat, the hair, something bizarre had just happened.” Khoury resolved to keep the hair sample in case it should ever prove useful in shedding light on his experiences.

The thing in Khoury’s throat stayed there for three days. He coughed constantly. He tried clearing his throat with water, bread, anything he could think of, but nothing helped. On the third day, the feeling in his throat just went away.

He did not want to tell his wife how his coughing fit had come about, but two weeks later he decided to tell her. “I was shocked,” he told Chalker. “She accepted it better than I did.”

The pieces of hair, carefully stored away since the encounter, became the subject of the first openly-reported scientific DNA test on a possible abduction-related sample.

The blond hairs were extremely thin and almost clear in color. It was determined that the hair was not chemically treated, because if it had been, little or no mitochondrial DNA could have been recovered. However, using the PCR (polymerase chain reaction) process, good quality DNA was recovered.

For comparison, samples were also taken of Peter Khoury’s hair and that of his wife Vivian. DNA was successfully extracted from Peter’s hair, but no usable DNA was recovered from Vivian’s hair, possibly because of chemical treatment.

After thorough testing of the hair samples, the scientists of the Anomaly Physical Evidence Group arrived at a startling conclusion. The thin blond hair, which appeared to have come from a light-skinned caucasian-type woman, could not have come from a normal human of that racial type.

Instead, though human, the hair showed five distinctive DNA markers that are characteristic of a rare sub-group of the Chinese Mongoloid racial type.

A detailed survey of the literature on variations in mitochondrial DNA, comprising tens of thousands of samples, showed only four other people on record with all five of the distinctive markers in the blond hair. All four were Chinese, with black hair.

Mitochondrial DNA is passed only from mother to child and therefore offers a means of tracing ancient ancestry on the mother’s side. The findings suggest that all four of the Chinese subjects share a common female ancestor with the blonde woman. But there is no easy explanation for how this could be.

Testing for nuclear DNA, if such could be recovered from the blond hair, would be more complex and expensive than the tests run so far, but might show that the lineage of the blonde’s father was even stranger than that of her mother.

But such testing must await funding that has yet to be found. So far, the members of the Anomaly Physical Evidence Group have financed all their work themselves.

Without the blond hair sample, the story told by Peter Khoury is but one more in an almost endless sequence of wrenching, but unprovable, abduction accounts. The hair, however, changes everything.

It undeniably exists, and thorough forensic testing shows that it is anomalous. It seems likely that no person with blond hair and an exact DNA match to Khoury’s blonde could be found in the city of Sydney, nor on the continent of Australia, nor — probably — anywhere in the world.

Who then was the being whose blond hair inexplicably became wrapped around Peter Khoury’s penis?

“Are we dealing with ‘humans’ from elsewhere, namely those with human DNA, albeit very rare and somewhat anomolous?” asks Bill Chalker.

“This case raises all sorts of issues, such as human ‘panspermia'” — the theory that human-like beings may have migrated to Earth in the fairly recent past from elsewhere in the galaxy, perhaps giving rise to the sudden appearance of modern homo sapiens sapiens, a species not directly descended from their immediate predecessors, the Neanderthals.

“Also, given the Asian mongoloid connection, we looked at the problem of European-like rare Asian types in the past,” Chalker says. “The controversial saga of the Taklamakan mummies in remote Western China is turning the early history of China on its head.

These mummies include people who are quite tall, some 6 feet or so, and some are blond. I’m not suggesting a connection here, but you can understand this investigation has opened up all sorts of interesting possibilities about the biological nature of some of the beings implicated in abduction cases.”

Proxima Centauri shoots out humongous flare, with big implications for alien life

Scientists have spotted one of the largest stellar flares ever recorded in our galaxy. The jets of plasma shot outward from the sun's nearest neighbor, the red dwarf star Proxima Centauri. The flare, which was around 100 times more powerful than any experienced in our solar system, could change the way scientists think about solar radiation and alien life.

Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf — the smallest, dimmest and most common type of main sequence stars in the galaxy — located approximately 4.25 light-years from Earth. Its mass is only one-eighth of the sun's, and it is orbited by two exoplanets. One of these planets, Proxima Centauri b, is considered to be Earth-like and lies within the star's habitable zone — the distance from a star that could support the development of life, according to the researchers.

In a new study, researchers used nine ground and orbital telescopes — including the Hubble Space Telescope, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array and NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite — to closely monitor Proxima Centauri for a total of 40 hours over several months in 2019. On May 1, 2019, the team captured the mega flare, which shone for just 7 seconds and was mainly visible in the ultraviolet spectrum.

"The star went from normal to 14,000 times brighter when seen in ultraviolet wavelengths over the span of a few seconds," lead author Meredith MacGregor, an astrophysicist at the University of Colorado Boulder, said in a statement.

The power of this flare and type of radiation it emitted could change what we know about red dwarfs and the chances of life developing on the planets that orbit them.

A humongous flare 

Stellar flares are the result of a star's strong magnetic fields. These fields — which are created by large amounts of electrically charged gas — can get twisted together and suddenly snap back into place to release an enormous amount of energy in the form of radiation, kind of like firing an elastic band at someone with your fingers. 

The flare on Proxima Centauri was extremely powerful compared with those emitted by the sun. Unlike flares from the sun, this one also emitted different kinds of radiation. In particular, it produced a huge surge of ultraviolet light and radio waves — known as "millimeter radiation."

"In the past, we didn't know that stars could flare in the millimeter range, so this is the first time we have gone looking for millimeter flares," MacGregor said in the statement.

This finding was possible only because the team monitored the star using such a wide variety of telescopes, each focused on a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

"It's the first time we've ever had this kind of multiwavelength coverage of a stellar flare," MacGregor said in the statement. "Usually, you're lucky if you can get two instruments."

The new findings suggest that stellar flares given off by red dwarfs are much more violent than previously expected and could reduce the likelihood of alien life developing around them.

Bad news for aliens 

The type and amount of radiation given off by Proxima Centauri could make it very hard for life to survive on its orbiting  exoplanets, which likely have no real atmosphere due to the powerful flares, according to the researchers. But it's not impossible for alien life to exist there.

"If there was life on the planet nearest to Proxima Centauri, it would have to look very different than anything on Earth," MacGregor said in the statement. "A human being on this planet would have a bad time."

Other red dwarfs likely give off equally powerful flares, thus decreasing the chances that red dwarf-hosted planets could support life. They also flare "much more frequently" than the sun, further reducing the chances of finding life in that star system, according to the researchers.

"Proxima Centauri's planets are getting hit by something like this not once in a century, but at least once a day, if not several times a day," MacGregor said in the statement.

The researchers now hope to use the wide variety of telescopes to focus on other stellar flares across our galaxy.

"There will probably be even more weird types of flares that demonstrate different types of physics that we haven't thought about before," MacGregor said in the statement.

The study was published online April 21 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

Scientists detected one of the largest flares ever recorded in our galaxy and it came from our sun’s closest neighbor. A humongous flare erupted from Proxima Centauri and that could be bad news if there was any alien life near the star.

Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf star that is located about 4.25 light-years away from us. It is quite small and dim, measuring in at just one-eighth of our sun’s mass. There are two planets orbiting the star that includes an Earth-like world called Proxima Centauri b that is located in the habitable zone which means it could possibly host life.

However, the gigantic stellar flare that was emitted from the star was approximately a hundred times more powerful than the ones from our sun. This could have had major repercussions if there was life on Proxima Centauri b.

Scientists studied about 40 hours worth of information on the star based on data gathered in 2019 by nine ground and orbital telescopes that included the Hubble Space Telescope, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, and NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite. The flare was detected on May 1, 2019 and lasted seven seconds. “The star went from normal to 14,000 times brighter when seen in ultraviolet wavelengths over the span of a few seconds,” explained Meredith MacGregor, who is an astrophysicist at the University of Colorado Boulder and the lead author of the study.

The flare contained a different type of radiation compared to our sun. It emitted a large amount of ultraviolet light and radio waves called “millimeter radiation”. In a statement, MacGregor went into further details, “In the past, we didn’t know that stars could flare in the millimeter range, so this is the first time we have gone looking for millimeter flares.”

The fact that they had so many different types of telescopes gathering data on the star definitely helped them as she stated, “It’s the first time we’ve ever had this kind of multiwavelength coverage of a stellar flare.”

Since such a powerful flare was found emitting from a red dwarf star as well as the type of radiation, this could change the theory regarding exoplanets in their habitable zone. These flares would make it very hard for any type of life to survive on these planets and they probably wouldn’t have much of an atmosphere. Furthermore, these flares occur “much more frequently” than those emitted from our sun. “Proxima Centauri’s planets are getting hit by something like this not once in a century, but at least once a day, if not several times a day,” MacGregor said. And it’s quite probable that other red dwarfs emit the same types of flares which lowers the possibility of life thriving on planets close to them.

But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some type of alien life on the exoplanet as MacGregor explained, “If there was life on the planet nearest to Proxima Centauri, it would have to look very different than anything on Earth.” “A human being on this planet would have a bad time.” The study was published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

Some UFO witnesses come with an impeccable pedigree, and really serve to bolster the claims that something weird is going on in our skies. When talking about a credible witness, the credentials of U.S. Senator Richard Brevard Russell, Jr. are beyond reproach. A politician from the state of Georgia, he served 38 years in the Senate, becoming one of its most powerful and influential members during his service from 1937 to 1963, and also served as the Governor of Georgia from 1931 to 1933, as well as chairman of the Armed Services Committee from 1951 to 1969, even seeking the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1952 unsuccessfully, and at the time of his death in 1971 he was one of the most senior and influential senators of all time. He would certainly seem to be an incredibly qualified witness, and he would have a UFO sighting that would be covered up and show that even the highest up can have such experiences.

In 1955, Russell was the chairman of the Armed Services Committee and was on a fact-finding trip through Russia along with his military aide Lt. Col. Hathaway and interpreter Ruben Efron. On October 4, 1955, they were travelling by train through the remote Transcaucasus region when Russell looked out the window and spotted two disc-shaped UFOs taking off from a spot near the tracks. He immediately called for his aide and interpreter, who also saw the strange sight. Col. Hathaway would later say of the incident:

I doubt if you are going to believe this, but we all saw it. Senator Russell was the first to see this flying disc we’ve been told for years that there isn’t such a thing, but all of us saw it. One disc ascended almost vertically, at a relatively slow speed, with its outer surface revolving slowly to the right, to an altitude of about 6000 feet, where its speed then increased sharply as it headed north. The second flying disc was seen performing the same actions about one minute later. The take-off area was about 1-2 miles south of the rail line.

The three men reported the sighting to the U.S. Air Force, being interviewed by a Lieut. Col. Thomas Ryan, who was the air attaché at the U.S. embassy in Prague, Czechoslovakia, shortly after the incident, with Ryan saying, “The three observers were firmly convinced that they saw a genuine flying disc.” They were also interviewed by the CIA, who also interviewed a fourth unnamed witness whose name would be redacted, and who said the objects had a “slight dome” and a “white light” on top. The CIA found that the three witnesses described visibility as excellent during the encounter, that they had seen no sign of a trail or heard any discernible noise from the craft, which had a pinkish glow, and that the objects “rose vertically with the glow moving slowly around the perimeter in a clockwise direction, giving the appearance of a pinwheel.” The Air Force then went about putting it completely under wraps, as did the Russian government, and it was labelled top secret. Senator Russell also refused to go public with the matter, keeping tight-lipped about it all in the aftermath of the sighting. He refused to talk about it any further, and when approached by the Los Angeles Examiner’s Tom Towers Russell in 1956 he told him:

Permit me to acknowledge your letters relative to reports that have come to you regarding aerial objects seen in Europe last year. I received your letter, but I have discussed this matter with the affected agencies of the government, and they are of the opinion that it is not wise to publicize this matter at this time. I regret very much that I am unable to be of assistance to you.

It seems as if the whole affair was being subdued by the government, and it would all remain top secret until it got out into the open in 1985 when it was declassified after numerous Freedom of Information Act requests by Dr. Bruce Maccabee, of the Fund for UFO Research. Maccabee was very excited about the release of these documents, saying:

These long secret documents are of major importance because they show for the first time that one of the most powerful U.S. Senators witnessed and reported a UFO. Because they were no doubt advised not to talk. These documents provide startling new evidence that UFOs exist.

It is a curious case, in that the witness is so traditionally reliable, and the object was seen by others within his entourage, making it difficult to fully write off. There seems to be no reason why such a respectable politician would want to make up such a tale, and further making it curious are the efforts made to keep it all hush hush, prevent Russell from talking about it, and hide it from the public eye. What is the meaning of this encounter and what place does it have in the UFO phenomenon? There seems to be no further information, and it will probably remain another compelling, if ultimately frustrating account that we will never get to the bottom of.

During the course of the events that occurred in and around Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England in December 1980, rumors circulated suggesting that radar tapes were taken from the Royal Air Force Watton base by U.S. Air Force personnel, who wanted to examine the alleged UFO evidence and see what, exactly, the tapes showed. This part of the story began in January 1981 with a writer named Paul Begg. It turns out that Begg knew a serviceman who was aware of something of the UFO incidents. It wasn’t long before Jenny Randles was able to speak with this particular source. Not wanting to jeopardize the man’s career, Randles chose to refer to him as “David Potts.” It was Potts who was able to put the pieces together. Potts told Randles that it was on December 29 when the Americans turned up at RAF Watton. Jenny learned that they took not just the radar-based data, but even the logbook for the relevant time. There was a very strange facet to all of this: the U.S. agents openly stated to their Royal Air Force counterparts that they needed the material because a craft from another world had come down in Rendlesham Forest. And they had orders to secure and scrutinize whatever material was available. While there is no reason at all to think that Potts was lying, the fact is that U.S. intelligence operatives simply would not stroll into a U.K. military base and loudly spout off about a crashed UFO. That’s not how the military works. And it’s certainly not how secrets are kept.

Clearly, and obviously, the Americans were there to further sow the seeds of the UFO story that had been created to hide the truth of the December experiments. No doubt, they knew that those who worked at RAF Watton, and who had been told the story by their American colleagues, would have a hard time keeping quiet on a hot potato like that! And, as history has shown, David Potts did not stay quiet. He went on to become a significant figure in the radar-based angle of the story. While the more sensationalized RAF Watton story has never been vindicated, there is proof that the base was involved to some degree. For example, in October 1988 I was directly informed by Squadron Leader E.E. Webster of RAF Watton: “Our log book for the period does indeed say that a UFO was reported to us by RAF Bentwaters at 0325 GMT on 28 December 1980 but that is all the information we have.” There is, however, more to come. On October 2, 1983, the News of the World newspaper reported that, “The first sighting of the craft over England was recorded on a radar screen” at RAF Watton. The NOTW added that, “Radar operators followed the progress as it flew over the East Coast until it disappeared.”

Moving ahead, in July 2015 the BBC took a look at the radar-driven side of all this. They told their readers: “New evidence has been gathered to back up claims a UFO landed near a U.S. airbase in Suffolk, a former deputy commander has claimed. Col. Charles Halt told the BBC he saw unidentified objects at Rendlesham Forest in December 1980. He says he now has statements from radar operators at RAF Bentwaters and nearby Wattisham airfield that an unknown object was tracked at the time.” The BBC got to the heart of the matter, as it relates to radar. They quoted Charles Halt as saying: “I have confirmation that (Bentwaters radar operators) … saw the object go across their 60 mile (96km) scope in two or three seconds, thousands of miles an hour. He came back across their scope again, stopped near the water tower, they watched it and observed it go into the forest where we were,” said Col Halt. At Wattisham, they picked up what they called a ‘bogie’ and lost it near Rendlesham Forest. Whatever was there was clearly under intelligent control.”

As fascinating as all of the above sounds, I’m still of the opinion that the “crashed UFO” story that circulated in the wake of the Rendlesham affair (and at Royal Air Force Watton) was deliberately created to hide something more down to earth: a top secret military experiment. In the next part of the story, I’ll demonstrate how easy it would have been for the team that ran the experiment to have made it look like UFOs were being monitored by radar, when in reality, the whole thing was a brilliant ruse.

Browns’ Quarterback on Recent UFO Sighting: ‘It’s real. I saw it. I believe’

Baker Mayfield’s offseason activities have included lifting, running, getting a guaranteed $18 million, and a close encounter he won’t forget.

Mayfield doubled down on spotting a UFO last month in Texas when he was driving home from dinner with his wife, Emily, on March 4 in Austin when he tweeted about witnessing a UFO.

The Browns quarterback knows the truth is out there.  No it wasn’t a hoax or a Progressive commercial. Mayfield’s early March UFO sighting wasn’t taken seriously by everyone from Tampa Buccaneers Tom Brady to Fox Sports Radio Host Colin Cowherd. Still, during a Zoom call with the Cleveland media on Monday, nothing has changed his mind.

“I’m a firm believer on UFOs and Sasquatch,’’ Mayfield said Monday on a Zoom call with reporters. “It’s real; I saw it. He’s glad the Navy finally confirmed some more pictures. “Now everybody doesn’t think I’m as crazy. I believe.’’

Mayfield said the mysterious event took place while he and his wife Emily were driving home and had the music going from dinner in Austin, Texas. Emily was in the passenger seat looking at her phone at the time, Mayfield said. It was nighttime, and everything is dark around when looking at the phone screen, Mayfield added.

The UFO was bright enough that it caught even his wife’s attention. They looked at each other and asked if either of them saw it. “Other people in that area confirmed, too.”

Mayfield described the UFO via Twitter as a very bright ball of light going straight down out of the sky towards Lake Travis.

FBI Met Aliens From Other Dimension In 1947, Who Just Wanted Peace With Humans

The FBI has always paid great attention to the UFO phenomenon. By the way, this confirms the old suspicions: many science fiction films are actually based on real events, whether it’s leaked that the FBI purposely made to raise public awareness, or to recognize agents – existing or former – who consider it unfair to deprive the public knowledge opinion about these secrets.

Of course, one cannot believe that Edgar Hoover, a director of the FBI, during those events that we are talking about, was very worried about justice or respect for the right of society to know the facts.

He was the ultra-conservative and reactionary who thought differently. But the fact is that in 2011, it became known from the FBI’s The Vault page that the agency included in the category of declassified a report prepared in July 1947 by a special agent of the FBI. He was a lieutenant colonel, whose identity was in the interests of “national security” and, at the direction of the almighty Hoover, erased a report based on an interview with a witness of the appearance of a UFO. The witness shared his own experience of contact with a non-human mind and could tell quite a lot.

According to the report, among other species, we are visited by creatures not only from other planets but from other dimensions as well. In particular, they are from the etheric plane coexisting with our physical Universe, materialized entities appeared as translucent giants.

Here is a transcript of some of the most important details of the report:

1. Part of the disks carry crews; others are under remote control

2. Their mission is peaceful. The visitors contemplate settling on this plane

3. These visitors are human-like but much larger in size

4. They are not excarnate Earth people but come from their own world

5. They do NOT come from a planet as we use the word, but from an etheric planet which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us

6. The bodies of the visitors, and the craft, automatically materialize on entering the vibratory rate of our dense matter

7. The disks posses a type of radiant energy or a ray, which will easily disintegrate any attacking ship. They reenter the etheric at will, and so simply disappear from our vision, without trace

8. The region from which they come is not the “astral plane”, but corresponds to the Lokas or Talas. Students of osoteric matters will understand these terms.

9. They probably can not be reached by radio, but probably can be by radar. if a signal system can be devised for that (apparatus)

Addendum: The Lokas are oval shape, fluted length oval with a heat-resistaning metal or alloy is not yet known the front cage contains the controls, the middle portion a laboratory; the rear contains armament, which consists essentially of a powerful energy apparatus, perhaps a ray.

The first thing that comes to mind when reading the document is that we are dealing with a story of a dreamer, but it should be borne in mind that this fact must have enough consecutive moments to initiate an investigation of the FBI, and this must be recognized when it comes to justifying financial injections and expenses of his resources.

The narrator further goes on to explain that these creatures use energy vectors to translate, which are interpreted as flying saucers. Their goal is peaceful, if one can consider peaceful the task that they transmitted (probably telepathically) to the witness: to stay living on this planet without disturbing us.

Although the UFO reports, as anyone who looks at the FBI can make sure, were then (as they are now) very common, we don’t know if such a specific description of “interdimensional aliens” was only in this report or there was some continuity further.

Let us note that the reports of 1947 were declassified in 2011. If there were subsequent or later additions to the investigation, they would be released, and their contents or results are not considered to be influential to “national security.”

If you see something, say something … or, if you’re a cow, moo really loud.

That’s how desperate law enforcement officials are feeling in Oregon – especially in Crook County in the center of the state – after months of mysterious cattle mutilations continue with no clues as to their causes. Skeptics are quick to debunk extraterrestrials as the cause and generally point to predators, while a growing number of people wonder if this is the work of a cult … in particular, the greatest cult of all time – the U.S. government. And yet … the mystery continues.

“There were no apparent animal or human tracks immediately surrounding the carcass, and only minimal blood in the area. I know from personal experience that, if an animal is killed or scavenged by predators, there is typically a large bloody messy area surrounding the carcass.”

Any news?

Crook County Sgt. Timothy Durheim is one of many local law enforcement officers to investigate a recent increase in cattle mutilations and he told the Blue Mountain Eagle the latest one he encountered at the McCormack Ranch on Southeast Bear Creek Road was like so many others reported — straight incisions, udder removed, circular cut around the anus, reproductive organs removed without puncturing the gut, left cheek, left eye and tongue removed, puncture wound between the neck and shoulder but bite marks … and no blood. Casey Thomas, manager of the GI Ranch on Lister Road in Paulina, two mutilations within a week. One was a Black Angus cow with hair removed near the stomach, all four teats cut off, left cheek, tongue and sex organs removed, and a mysterious prick mark. The second had a left cheek removed and a 2-inch patch cut into the hair on its neck. Photos were sent to Prineville veterinarian Taylor Karlin.

“I wish I had an answer. We’re kind of at a loss.”

Karlin told the Blue Mountain Eagle she is hoping for some fresh samples of flesh, hair, blood, etc. – anything she can analyze in a lab. While she’s at a loss, podcaster and skeptic Brian Dunning isn’t. He explained to the Blue Mountain Eagle:

“This is almost certainly the same kind of bird predation we’ve seen in so many similar cases.”

“Most particularly birds, and also some insects, will always go first for the exposed soft tissue: eyes, tongue, lips and mouth area, genitals. The animal is dead with zero blood pressure so there is never significant bleeding from postmortem wounds. The body is in the process of drying and decaying, so skin pulls tight from around the excised area, giving the impression of a perfect surgical cut.”

That sounds logical, although it would seem a cattle veterinarian would also know this and local vet Karlin doesn’t think these mutilations are natural. While Dunning debunks the aliens and religious cults causes, Nick Redfern points out that internal files show government interest in cattle and their diseases – particularly when suspected to have been caused by foreign biological agents – have been going on for decades, and the UFOs sometimes reported coming after the mutilations may be government black helicopters. Crook County Undersheriff James Savage, who has been involved in many of these cattle mutilation investigations, told Oregon Public Broadcasting he’s tired of it and wants answers and resolution … but he needs help.

What can we do?

“Don’t be afraid to call. If you see something, a suspicious vehicle or person in the area, also report it to us so we can try to run that down.”

And don’t forget to moo really loud.

On the warm summer evening of August 4, 1943, 18-year-old, Ronnie Austin had been having a great time. He had gone to a drive-in theater to catch a flick with his girlfriend Phyllis Bruce, and shortly before midnight they began their drive home in Wayne City, Illinois. As they drove, they noticed something very strange up ahead in the sky at about treetop level, which looked like a bright, round light with “fuzzy edges,” and estimated as being about “the size of a washtub.” They at first thought that it might be an aircraft, but whatever it was had no flashing lights and was perfectly round, leading them to suspect this was something else. They marveled at it for a few minutes, but the encounter would get stranger still when they noticed that the object seemed to be following them. And so would begin a wild high speed chase along rural country roads by a mysterious UFO.

The two noticed as they drove by that the mysterious light seemed to approach to keep pace with them, speeding up or slowing down when they did, and when they brought the car to a full stop the light also stopped to hover there with inscrutable intent. Austin decided to just try to ignore it and drive home as quickly as possible, but the object would allegedly follow them the whole way, always keeping the same distance from the vehicle and at one point crossing from one side of the car over to the other. They tried to convince themselves that this was just a coincidence and some sort of illusion, but this would be disproven when the object suddenly approached at great speed to hover a few hundred feet away, before pausing over an electronic relay tower and then taking up a position about 500 feet away from the car and its increasingly frightened occupants.

Austin kept driving, pulling onto the lonely gravel road that led to Phyllis’ home, and when they reached the house, her sister also came outside to witness the anomalous object. The three of them watched the light for a few minutes before the two spooked girls went inside after the thing got closer, and Austin decided to get out of there, setting out in his car for the trip home. The object then continued to follow him, along the way making several threatening displays and increasingly aggressive maneuvers, such as speeding over the car, cutting him off, and changing color from a bright white to a more ominous darker orange glow. At one point the object shot off to hover over a barn about a mile away, before speeding back, and by this time Austin was really gunning it down the dark road, later estimating that he had been going about 120 mph, but the object easily paced him and did circling maneuvers and passes around him, causing the radio to crackle with static and make a “whining sound” whenever it passed overhead, as well as causing his engine to sputter. The thing got so close that Austin could now see that it was about the size of a small car. It continued to make these threatening displays all the way to Austin’s house, where he stopped and ran inside like his life depended on it, which for all he knew, it did. In the meantime, the mysterious light took up a position over a nearby farmhouse around 300 yards away and hovered silently.

Austin rushed into the home and woke his parents, sister, and brother, and they all saw the object as well through the window, the whole thing spooky enough that his father even grabbed a shotgun for good measure. They noticed that when they turned the lights on, the thing would begin to move towards the home, but when the lights were turned off it returned to its position above the nearby barn, suggesting it was attracted somehow to the light. They called the police in a panic, and when officers showed up, they also saw the strange light, as did several neighbors who had come outside to see what all of the fuss was about. As they all looked on, the object would then begin ascending upwards into the sky until it was out of sight. The event soon made the press and attracted the attention of UFO investigators, with the researchers from the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) arriving the following day to interview the many witnesses, and they were interviewed by several news sources as well, and there was an Air Force team who arrived on the scene as well, consisting of Lt. Col. Robert J. Friend, then the Director of Project Blue Book; Capt. Hector Quintanilla, and Sgt. Charles R. Sharp. Readings were taken of the car, the results of which have never been released, and oddly Austin was instructed to wash it right away, while they “decontaminated” the interior, all while they tried to dismiss talk of UFOs and try to explain it all away. The presence of the Air Force was curious, and NICAP investigator Francis Ridge would say of it:

The AF must have considered this case important. They had flown in the special team of physicists from Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio. Normally, when investigating a case, they would send the local “UFO officer” from the nearest airbase. In this case it would have been Scott AFB at Belleville, Illinois (near St. Louis). Something strange was going on in the Midwest, and AF Intelligence was interested in something that “didn’t exist.” A quick check would have eliminated a refueling operation and the need for an onsite.

What in the world was going on here? With around a dozen witnesses including police officers it certainly seems that something weird was going on, but what? Why would this object want to so aggressively toy with this young man in his car? What did it want? Interestingly, this incident coincided with a spate of UFO sightings around Illinois at the time, so did this have perhaps some part to play? Whatever the answers may be, it is a curious little incident that can be added to the pile of the many bizarre UFO encounters out there.
