This UFO was recorded and is on video, however the video is only on Facebook so click here to view it. The UFOs do appear similar to real UFOs seen in the past in the sky. I do have some reservations about UFOs being recorded through windows, because windows can reflect light as you are recording and thus make a UFO appear as though its real. This looks like such an incident to me, but I could be wrong. Tell me your thoughts on this sighting in the comments below please.

An Alleged UFO Over Guayaquil On May 30, a video posted to Facebook exceeded 52,000 hits. According to the person posting (Boris Tacle Lopez), the clip showed a "flying saucer". As of this writing, the publication has been shared over 1000 times. As the image shows, the object flies next to a rainbow in the sky. No critical version of this event exists as of this moment. What do you think?

A US investor, who held positions in the Ministry of Defence and within the intelligence community, has openly expressed for the first time about the information the government has on hand on UFOs.

Working 20 years for the federal government, Christopher Mellon received several awards. He claimed to have visited Area 51 and various other military bases.

His interest in UFOs started as a child when his friend showed him a video clip of a massive disc-shaped, golden object. He then began to read books on UFOs and performed a research project for his university Physics professor.

Mellon doesn’t believe Hillary Clinton will ever get a chance to get access to secret government programs on UFOs if she wins her presidential bid. Mellon shared instances where White House employees couldn’t gain access to Ministry of Defence secret programs. He thinks that Clinton and other people like her may hold high positions for years without getting at secret programs of the Ministry, which mostly involve the development of new weapons.

Mellon also pointed out some incidents involving UFOs when he worked for the government.

A Navy pilot called him one day to report about a UFO circling a fighter. As far as Mellon knew, the Navy didn’t conduct further investigation.

Another instance involved four or five bright UFOs that were captured on the radar in the evening sky. Mellon said that everyone was puzzled, but no government employee gave some interest, even after a TV program, Nightline, showed the images. Mellon said that political correctness resulted in complete lack of scientific curiosity.

Mellon suggested that Clinton should reach out to NORAD and let them perform the research if she is serious to find out the UFO topic deeply. NORAD is a military organization that monitors the U.S. airspace.

According to Mellon, there are many well-documented UFO sightings, including the UFO sighting that took place in November 1989 in Belgium. There were 13 police officers and hundreds of other people witnessed two triangular objects flying in the sky. However, authorities could not give clear explanation even after the Belgian Air Force launched an investigation with a group of scientists and experts from the U.S. and NATO countries.

In another UFO sighting, more than a hundred witnesses, including soldiers and law-enforcement officers, saw a triangular object above England on March 30, 1993. It managed to move away suddenly at a very fast speed from a standstill. The British Ministry of Defense failed to know the origin of the aerial object.

Could it be that the UFO’s in the sky are actually Alien ‘probes’? According to leading Mathematicians YES!

In recent months a new statement from two top mathematicians in the UK, from the University of Edinburgh, have stated that “Alien probes” could very well be operating in our very own Solar System – Possibly scouting the area for signs of life and habitable planets.

Could this mean that the now well-known Black Knight Satellite might actually be a reality? And now supported by Science? It appears that way doesn’t it.  This could also help explain what many of these sightings are seen above the planet, including those bright pulsing large Orbs that many of us around the world have witnessed over the years.

The scientists from the University of Edinburgh believe that there is a good possibility that “self-replicating” robotic ET spacecraft are now exploring our very own solar system that we live in. If true, these probes would be a product of such highly advanced technology, impossible for us to yet understand – it could also mean that these probes could even appear completely invisible to human beings, the researchers said.

Powerful computers were used to come up with these predictions, of which the two mathematicians then analysed the possibility that probes could travel through space, which was highlighted in a study published in the ‘Journal of Astrobiology’

The two gentleman involved, Duncan Forgan and Arwen Nicholson have confirmed the possibility that there may very well be highly advanced ET races taking advantage of the intense ‘gravitational field’ of the stars in order to speed up their high-tech craft travelling through space.

Perhaps the UFO’s that we see near the Sun are using this technique to travel the vastness of space!?  Us humans already use this “technique” take for example the Voyager probe which uses the gravitational field of the planets in our solar system to gain and travel through the depths of space and time – perhaps some of the Alien crafts have super intelligent robots onboard, looking for other planets to discover and in some cases possibly to even attempt to take over!?  (Please click HERE to read more about this!).

The intriguing mathematical analysis that supports this theory, has suggested that you could quite possibly have a fleet of alien probes out there, with incredibly advanced technology onboard which could self-replicate itself, creating new realities for themselves, whilst at the same time making full use of any cosmic dust and gas, then dividing into parent and child probes which would set off to explore a different star, in their goal to look for signs of life and so on in their never-ending journey throughout the vastness of the universe!  They would make our Voyager craft look somewhat ‘prehistoric’ in comparison.

It has also been suggested that this level of technology is that advanced that these “alien” probes could explore any galaxy out there in the vastness of space, in a relatively short time. Let’s not forget that there are planets out there which have millions if not even BILLIONS of years ahead of us – just imagine the level of technology any beings on these types of planets may have discovered.

The researcher made by Duncan Forgan and Arwen Nicholson coincides with a study made by Jacob Haqq-Misra in 2011, where it is suggested that extraterrestrial objects could exist right now in our solar system without our knowledge. These objects are so advanced technologically speaking that we couldn’t even identify them even if we wanted, perhaps our minds could not even comprehend their existence.  Or could it be that some of these strange UFO’s seen in the skies above us, could actually be Alien probes, scouting for life.

The scientists said interestingly went on to conclude that:

‘We can conclude that a fleet of self-replicating probes can indeed explore the Galaxy in a sufficiently short time…orders of magnitude less than the age of the Earth.’

It really does feel like we are being ‘drip fed’ information nowadays about the existence of life beyond planet earth! Who knows perhaps there is some kind of  major project at hand which involves some of the worlds key figures in Science to push out the TRUTH onto the masses!  I still believe that the ‘Elite’ are not going to confirm the existence of Alien life anytime soon and NOW is the time that we push harder than ever in order to find out who our ET visitors are.

This story is very similar to my own personal thoughts on some of the UFO’s captured in the skies above us.  I have often said that some of these strange looking crafts/Orbs caught above Earth, could very well be ET technology sent out into space to scout for life beyond their own solar system.  Some people may ‘scoff’ at this suggestion, but is it really that daft to say that some advanced alien civilizations out there may have the technology to send out space probes to discover what lies beyond….NO of course it isn’t, as we are doing it ourselves with the Voyager craft, which is probably a very basic version of what the ET’s are using in space.

Who knows perhaps the Black Knight satellite seen above earth is actually an Alien probe which was sent out to find other lifeforms, or who knows perhaps it has made to watch over us all!?  It is very interesting how the recent Pepsi advert is all about the Black Knight Satellite and deciphering the code on-board the unknown mysterious craft, which at the end of the advert shows the masses on Planet earth uniting for some strange kind of ‘New World Order’ –  Perhaps the scene is being set out, as to what’s to come!?

No matter what these unknown UFO’s are, one thing is for sure we are VERY much NOT alone in the Universe.

UFO’s Protecting Earth From Huge Objects From Space?

Many people believe that these images could quite possibly show “friendly aliens” in the process of saving the planet from a potentially destructive deadly meteor strike.  This isn’t the first time UFO’s have apparently saved the planet from dangerous meteors from Space, just a few years ago a clear ‘BLACK’ UFO was witnessed destroying a huge chuck of rock which was hurtled towards the Russian city of Chelyabinsk.

This recent intriguing theory emerged after the release of footage of a fireball exploding in the skies above Maine, New England, USA

Clips of the natural phenomena show what appears to be a second, smaller object entering the Earth’s atmosphere during the event on Tuesday.  The American Meteor Society (AMS) has since confirmed a second object was present, but says it was just a smaller fragment of the meteor as it broke up in our atmosphere – many people are now disputing this and believe that this was a UFO rushing to earth to help stop imminent disaster – the seemingly satisfactory explanation, has done nothing to dampen speculation from die hard alien chasers looking for evidence of extra terrestrial visitations.

The most popular theory out there is that it was an alien craft dispatched to destroy the meteor to prevent an impact.  At this moment in time there is NO other true theory as to what this could be!

It has also been claimed that there could be some kind of Alien galactic patrols watching over us as all and they know that we do not yet have the technology to deal with any asteroid or comet strikes which could potentially wipe out life on this planet – This would explain the sheer amount of UFO sightings seen across the Planet by many people.

Originally at the time of this event, most eyewitnesses saw only one object enter the atmosphere, steak across the skies and then burn up.  It was only until the footage was properly analysed that you can see the small UFO appear next to the incoming meteor!

The AMS had more than 700 reports from witnesses with the fireball also seen over New Hampshire, New Jersey, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, and in Canada!

A YouTube channel called ‘Nemesis Maturity’ uploaded a video showing two objects arrived, one appearing to follow the other. The second, smaller unknown object, then appeared to strike the bigger one before a huge explosion – almost as if this UFO stopped this meteor in its track!

This intriguing footage was taken from a security camera at Burlington International Airport, South Burlington, Vermont and uploaded by AMS.

Nemesis Maturity, confirmed that some leading UFO researchers analysed the footage, before taking the leap that the second object could have been an alien UFO that shot down the speeding meteor.  The video said: “The meteorite that exploded over Northeastern US was hit by an unknown object causing it to explode before it crashed down.”

The Russian Black UFO vs The Chelyabinsk Meteor

This is not the first time people have claimed that UFOs are watching from space to prevent asteroid strikes and even a potential nuclear conflict! One of the most exciting incidents happened back in 2013 above a city in Russia.  The Chelyabinsk meteor (named after the city it exploded over!) was a superbolide caused by a near-Earth asteroid that entered Earth’s atmosphere over Russia on 15 February 2013 at about 09:20 YEKT (03:20 UTC), with a speed of 19.16 ± 0.15 kilometres per second (60,000[5]–69,000 km/h or 40,000[5]–42,900 mph).[6][7] It quickly became a brilliant superbolide meteor over the southern Ural region. The light from the meteor was brighter than the Sun, up to 100 km away. It was observed over a wide area of the region and in neighbouring republics.

Some eyewitnesses also felt intense heat from the fireball, but many also saw what appears to be a second object which appeared to ‘destroy’ the Meteor in front of everybody’s very own eyes.  Perhaps the ET’s saved many lives on that now famous day back in 2013 – Many people described the object as a ‘Black UFO’ which didn’t move like anything man-made!

The thought of Aliens rescuing us from potentially dangerous earthbound Meteors may appear a little over the top, but is it really!? It is VERY obvious that we are being watched daily and who is to say that some of the ET’s watching us are ‘bad’ – If they have the technology to get to us, I am sure they have the capability to stop a Meteor in its track!

It is important to remember the Tunguska Event which happened back in June 30, 1908 a colossal ‘magnificent’ flash lit across the sky over Siberia. The explosion was thought to have been caused by a massive explosion at least 1,000 times more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped over Hiroshima in World War 2! But the unfortunate thing about this entire event was that it happened over a large completely uninhabited area in the basin of the Podkamennaya Tunguska river basin in modern-day Russia. Michio Kaku: “This Has To Be An Alien Super Structure!”

Well respected Top Theoretical Physicist Michio Ksku believes that the recent announcement about a potential Alien Super structure being found next to a star “1,500 light years away” could actually be “the biggest story in the past five-hundred years!” He also believes that has to be proof of an advanced Alien civilisation.

We recently posted an article about this very same subject (please click HERE) and it now appears that many leading figures are getting behind this exciting theory, that there is a potential ‘Alien superstructure’ around star KIC 8462852″ which was first discovered in 2009.

KIC 8462852 (pictured), located 1480 light-years away, and has produced a series of bizarre light fluctuations researchers have not been able to conclusively explain.

Michio Kaku who has written many intriguing books and appeared on many TV shows with his exciting views on things, appears VERY excited about this latest discovery!

“This could be the biggest story in the past five-hundred years,” Michio Kaku explained.

Kaku said went on to say that “this star is breaking all the rules” and that “we would have to rewrite astronomy text books” to think anything different.

“Basically if a planet eclipses a Mother Star, goes in front of the Mother Star, starlight drops maybe one percent at maximum–however starlight has been dropping at twenty-two percent,” Kaku explained.

“There is a colossal, humongous, object of some sort blocking the starlight from this star.”

“We’ve ruled out all of the usual suspects; rouge planets, comets, asteroids” and the only thing left is an ‘alien superstructure’ of some type.

“We’re talking about what’s called a Type Two Civilization that could build a gigantic [Dyson Sphere] sphere possibly bigger than Jupiter to absorb starlight,  to produce energy and is right out of science fiction.”

I recently read an interesting article about the different civilizations out there, which really does make you think about how far behind we probably are from other ‘older’ more advanced species out there in deep space (and possibly other dimensions).  Please have a read of the below about the Kardashev Scale:

The Kardashev Scale

The scale was initially made in 1964 by the Russian astrophysicist, Nikolai Kardashev (who was searching for signs of extraterrestrial life within cosmic signals). It has 3 base classes, each with an energy usage level: Type I (10¹⁶W), Type II (10²⁶W), and Type III (10³⁶W). . Other astrophysicists have prolonged the scale to Type IV (10⁴⁶W) and Type V (the energy accessible to this kind of civilization would equal that of all energy accessible in not just our cosmos, but in all universes and in all time-lines). These additions reflect both energy access as well as the amount of knowledge the civilizations have access to.

Initially, it is significant to note that the human race is not even on this scale yet. Since we still sustain our energy requirements from dead plants and animals, here on Earth, we are a poor Type 0 civilization (and we have a LONG way to go before being promoted to a type I civilization). Kaku inclines to believe that, all things taken into concern, we will reach Type I in 100 – 200 years time. But what does each of these classes really stand for in literal terms?

A Type I title is a given to species who have been capable of harnessing all the energy that is obtainable from a nearby star, collecting and storing it to meet the energy demands of a growing population. This means that we would need to increase our current energy production over 100,000 times to reach this status. Though, being capable of harnessing all Earth’s energy would also mean that we could have control over all natural forces. Human beings could control volcanoes, the weather, and even earthquakes! (At least, that is the impression.) These types of achievements are hard to believe, but compared to the advances that may still be to come, these are just basic and basic levels of control (it’s completely nothing comparative to the abilities of societies with higher rankings).

The next step up – a Type II civilization – can harness the power of their whole star (not just converting starlight into energy, but controlling the star). Numerous methods for this have been suggested. The most popular of which is the hypothetical ‘Dyson Sphere.’ This device, if you want to call it that, would include every single inch of the star, collecting most (if not all) of its energy output and transporting it to a planet for later use. Instead, if fusion power (the mechanism that powers stars) had been mastered by the race, a reactor on a truly enormous scale could be used to fulfill their requirements. Nearby gas giants can be utilized for their hydrogen, gradually drained of life by an orbiting reactor.

What would this much energy mean for a species? Well, nothing known to science could wipe out a Type II civilization. Take, for instance, if humans lived long enough to attain this status, and a moon sized object arrived our solar system on a crash course with our little blue planet–we’d have the capability of vaporizing it out of existence. Or if we had time, we could move our planet out-of-the-way, totally dodging it. But let’s say we didn’t want to move Earth… are there any other options? Well yes, since we’d have the ability to move Jupiter, or another planet of our choice, into the way – pretty cool, right?
So we’ve gone from having control over a planet, to a star, which has resulted in us harboring enough “disposable” energy to fundamentally make our civilization immune to extinction. But now, onto Type III, where a species then becomes galactic traverses with knowledge of everything having to do with energy, resulting in them becoming a master race.  In terms of humans, hundreds of thousands of years of evolution – both biological and mechanical – may result in the populations of this type III civilization being extremely different from the human race as we know it. These may be cyborgs (or cybernetic organism, beings both biological and robotic), with the offspring of regular humans being a sub-species among the now-highly advanced society. These completely biological humans would possibly be observed as being disabled, poorer, or unevolved by their cybernetic colleagues.

At this stage, we would have developed colonies of robots that are proficient of ‘self replication’; their population may upsurge into the millions as they spread out across the galaxy, inhabiting star after star. And these being might build Dyson Spheres to encapsulate each one, making a huge network that would carry energy back to the home planet. But extending over the galaxy in such a manner would face numerous difficulties; namely, the species would be constrained by the laws of physics. Chiefly, light-speed travel. That is, except they develop a working warp drive, or use that spotless energy cache to master wormhole teleportation (two things that remain theoretical for the time being), they can only get so far.

Kardashev believed a Type IV civilization was ‘too’ advanced and did not go beyond Type III on his scale. He thought that, confidently, this would be the extent of any species’ capability. Many think so, but a few believe there is a further level that could be achieved. (I mean, surely there is a limit?) Type IV civilizations would almost be capable of harnessing the energy content of the whole universe and with that, they could traverse the accelerating expansion of space (additionally, advance races of these species may live inside supermassive black holes). To previous methods of producing energy, these kinds of feats are considered impossible. A Type IV civilization would require to tap into energy sources unknown to us using strange, or currently unknown, laws of physics.
Type V. Yes, Type V might just be the next possible advancement to such a civilization. Here beings would be like gods, having the knowledge to manipulate the universe as they please. Now, as I said, humans are a very, very long way from ever reaching anything like this. But it’s not to say that it cannot be achieved as long as we take care of Earth and each other. To do so, the first step is to preserve our tiny home, extinguish war, and continue to support scientific advances and discoveries.

Clinton campaign head says he filed FOIA request for UFO documents

Hillary Clinton has often been depicted as an enemy of government transparency in the long-running controversy over her use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State. It took several lawsuits under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a law that gives the public access to government documents and data, to pry her emails loose from the State Department.

But during a talk today at Code Con, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said he helped the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee use the very same law to request transparency on an issue she’s interested in — UFOs. Podesta claimed that he helped Clinton file a FOIA request for documents related to a possible UFO incident.

Clinton and Podesta have been vocal about their interest in extraterrestrial life. During a March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Clinton said she would fight for the release of government documents related to UFOs if elected president. Podesta, who was formerly President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff, has also championed government transparency about UFOs.

Podesta didn’t offer many details on the incident that led to their FOIA request, saying simply that it involved a crash of what he described as a possible UFO or Soviet device.

“I worked with her and filed an FOIA case on it,” Podesta said, adding, “The files had disappeared but it was clear there’d been some investigation by the Air Force.”

The frustration of seeking documents under FOIA only to be rejected is probably a familiar one for the journalists who worked to make Clinton’s emails public, and Podesta acknowledged that Clinton’s use of a private email server had damaged her as a presidential candidate. “I think it’s definitely hurt her,” he said.

“The decision at the outset to use a private email system was, in retrospect, the wrong one. She did it out of convenience but it’s been anything but,” Podesta continued. However, he said the contents of Clinton’s emails spoke to her capability as a candidate.

“What you see is someone working hard, doing the job that the President entrusted to her,” Podesta said.

Podesta also discussed Clinton’s California campaign and her relationship with Silicon Valley. He said that support for Clinton is building in the tech industry and suggested that the campaign would soon release a list of her Silicon Valley supporters. “We’ll probably roll out a group of technology leaders who support her before the election and I think that will be an impressive list,” Podesta said.

"It Defies Language!" by Greg Bishop

BOOK REVIEW: It Defies Language! Essays on UFOs and Other Weirdness by Greg Bishop (Excluded Middle Press) 2016

My first true encounter with the work of writer, researcher, blogger, fringe-culture historian, radio host and Ufologist Greg Bishop was via his excellent 2005 book Project Beta: The Story of Paul Bennewitz, National Security, and the Creation of a Modern UFO Myth, which I reviewed at the time for a Louisiana newspaper.

What impressed me most that was despite Bishop’s obvious interest in the topic of UFOs and related “high weirdness,” he was willing to do the yeoman’s work and produce a book that exposed a lot of the rumors out there about a New Mexico physicist – Paul Bennewitz – who urgently believed an alien invasion was imminent and that an underground base near the town of Dulce, N.M. (read our review of Greg Valdez’s Dulce Base here) was already populated with sinister aliens.

And yet, in Project Beta, we learn it was all a government disinformation campaign to get Bennewitz off the trail of down-to-earth technology (the strange lights over Albuquerque) being tested at nearby Kirtland Air Force Base. Sad thing is, the experience left Bennewitz a paranoid and broken man, and committed to a mental institution.

So, upon learning about Bishop’s latest UFO-tinged book project, It Defies Language!, I knew I would be of great interest to me, since it featured a bunch of his posts from the defunct UFOMystic.com website (2006-2011), one that was prominently linked here atRed Dirt Report, and also featured work by our friend Nick Redfern, prolific author and regular at Mysterious Universe.

Broken up into nine chapters, It Defies Language! starts off in the introduction with Bishop straight-up saying, “Some people build model railroads.Others collect stamps or bottlecaps. I write and think about UFOs.” And I can relate to that to a certain extent.

I can also relate to Bishop’s approach to the topic that he is not necessarily a “nuts-and-bolts” UFO guy, that there is likely a metaphysical angle to the phenomenon, noting "there is no real, verifiable evidence that UFOs and apparent associated beings come from other planets."

Anyway, Bishop jumps around with the posts, but even though it isn’t necessarily chronological, we get insight into the intellectually honest process he undertakes when it comes to tackling the difficult subject of UFOs and related phenomena and even fellow UFO researchers who aren’t always as honest about their objectives as they should be, some even covertly working for the US government to sidetrack researchers. It happens.

Being an obsessive fan of the David Lynch TV show Twin Peaks (1990-91), which will be rebooted for Showtime next year, I was interested in one 2007 UFOMystic post Bishop includes titled “David Lynch, Twin Peaks, and UFOs (and the Government).” In the post he notes that an unnamed source told a friend of his, Miles Lewis, that Lynch created his “Agent Dale Cooper” character based on someone who worked in the government, someone he simply calls “Agent Cooper.”

Notes Bishop: “However, from what I understand, under this ‘Agent Cooper’s” urging, Lynch infused certain codes and secret messages pertaining to different things he had learned from ‘Agent Cooper’ – and they are scattered throughout the series.”

It is true that Twin Peaks features a rather esoteric storyline where Air Force Maj. Garland Briggs (Don S. Davis) works, in a classified manner, with “deep space monitoring” and also for the infamous Project Blue Book, where the Air Force was allegedly looking into UFO sightings between 1952 and 1969. But the real purpose, Bishop is told, is “to test to the general public’s perception and reaction to UFO reports and sightings, and to use the data gleaned from this study as a mean to maximize the effectiveness of using such UFO stories to manipulate the population.”

In another 2007 post, Bishop delves into the aforementioned subject of “underground bases.” What is their purpose? What is hidden there? Was there a “firefight” between US soldier and “alien humanoids” at an underground base in Dulce, N.M. as claimed by one Philip Schneider? And was Schneider “killed for talking about alien bases”? He goes into that, as well as the issue of cattle mutilations, the 1950's "contactee" movement, crop circles, and even a bit on “alien writing.” It is that subject where Bishop, in talking about the "alien symbol" research of the late Dr. Mario Pazzaglini, also notes that “one of the earliest concrete examples of what was purported to be extra-human communication was channeled by medium Edward Kelley, and his boss, Elizabethan astrologer and all-around magician John Dee, from 1582-1589.”

Like those who come across alleged alien “symbols” following an encounter, it was Dee who said the “Enochian” symbols he received from an "angel," dictated through medium Kelley. Is there a connection between the 400-plus year old findings of Dee and the symbols being discussed today? Bishop is of the opinion that this "as-yet unknown, non-human intelligence or consciousness that interacts with us from time-to-time" has likely been around for a very long time.

Bishop has a smart and easy-to-understand style that will appeal to both serious UFO researchers and those with, perhaps, simply a passing interest in the topic. For Bishop, putting this online essay collection together was a labor of love, for someone who has a passion for investigating the unknown.

Regardless, in It Defies Language!, there is plenty of thoughtful - and even humorous and lighthearted - information to sink your teeth and your mind into.

CONTROVERSY FLARES OVER 'ALIEN MEGASTRUCTURE' STAR

“The most mysterious star in the galaxy” was bound to spur some scientific debates.

KIC 8462852, located 1,480 light years away, perplexed scientists when they saw its light dip by as much as 20 percent. There's no satisfactory explanation for it. The two most popular guesses, that the light is being obscured by either a family of giant comets or a huge structure built by aliens, don't quite fit with the data. (Not to mention the fact that aliens should always be your last guess when you're doing science.)

The mystery deepened when another researcher—astronomer Bradley Schaefer from Louisiana State University--found that KIC 8462852 (aka "Tabby's Star") may also have been dimming over the last century by an unprecedented amount. This made the comet hypothesis even less likely, since something like 648,000 giant comets would have to be circling that star to dim it.

However, Schaefer's results were called into question earlier this month by grad student Michael Lund and data analyst Michael Hippke. Their work was largely misreported by the media when a press release made it seem as if they had debunked the alien hypothesis and proven the comet hypothesis, when really all they did was cast doubt on the long-term dimming theory. (Rest assured that Tabby's Star is definitely still bizarre.)

It was those public misconceptions that partially drove Schaefer to respond to the critiques in a rather scathing blog post last week. He says he is concerned that the erroneous reports were hurting the Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to monitor the star. Schaefer writes:

In the usual way of ‘social media’, Hippke’s and Lund’s claims have been highlighted as a refutation of the century-long dimming, and this has been extended to everything about KIC 8462852. For example, on the first day of the launch of the Kickstarter program, the Reddit talk had the statement that the person ‘thought this has all been refuted’.

Despite all the publicity, it is Hippke and Lund who are “definitely wrong,” he says. The explanation is pretty technical, so we'll try to keep it simple.

Star wars

Both papers analyzed old photographic plates collected by telescopes from the 1890s to the 1980s. Schaefer found that the light from Tabby's Star dropped by about 16 percent over a century, whereas other stars' light curves stayed flat. Lund and Hippke saw other stars dimming by similar amounts and concluded the effect was just an artifact of different telescopes being used over time.

Schaefer's blog post counters that Lund and Hippke used the wrong comparison stars. Their check stars were crowded together with other stars, he says, which makes the light curves from those stars unreliable.

Schaefer's second critique of the Lund and Hippke papers is that they used the wrong calibration technique, which often shows slopes in light curves.

"No experienced researcher" would make these choices, writes Schaefer. He, on the other hand, has "a vast experience with the Harvard plates, with nearly continuous work since 1979, something like 50 papers in refereed journals, plus five papers on the theory of photographic photometry."

While a scientist cannot prove a point based on experience alone--he needs data to back it up--Schaefer notes that Harvard astronomer Josh Grindlay has arrived at the same measurements.

I think that these two solid measures by the most experienced people in the world are to be strongly preferred to a claim coming from people who have yet to lay eyes on any archival photographic plate.

Harsh.

Keivan Stassun, a co-author on the Hippke and Lund papers, declined to respond to Schaefer's criticisms. "The proper forum for working out scientific debates is the peer-reviewed, refereed literature in which the plural of 'ad hominem' is not data," he told Popular Science, referring to the ad hominemstyle of argument that attacks a person rather than the data.

A bright outlook

Let's not get too sucked into the drama. Caltech astronomer Ben Montet explained to Popular Science that the problem stems from the fact that "there aren't many people who have considered looking for long-term trends in this data before." Scientists aren't sure what sorts of things could cause the photographic plate data to be wonky, how often those mishaps happen, and what effects they might have.

The short answer, says Montet, is that "the star looks like it's dimming on the plates, and we as a community are still trying to figure out if that's normal or not."

But there is hope that scientists will get to the bottom of the debate, and the answer could come from an independent data set--possibly Montet's.

Schaefer's blog post notes that if Tabby's Star really is dimming over the long-term, they should be able to detect a very, very faint dimming of the star over the four years that the Kepler telescope monitored it. Montet has combed through the Kepler data, and his preliminary conclusion is that the star is indeed fading.

However, the team is still going analyzing the data, and the study's not published yet, so it's still premature to say "case closed." We could see another paper in coming weeks to add to the debate.

HET HALVE MAINSTREAM-VERHAAL OVER BUITENAARDSE DOLK FARAO 

De complete mainstream media en hun trouwe volgers komen allemaal met hetzelfde verhaaltje over de buitenaardse tolk van farao Toetanchamon. 

De buitenaardse dolk moet gemaakt zijn uit een meteoriet, kan niet anders, terwijl iedereen zwijgt over de UFO-invasie 100 jaar voordat Toetanchamon leefde. 

Maakt niet uit waar je kijkt binnen de mainstream, overal zie je hetzelfde van elkaar gekopieerde verhaaltje. 

In grote lijnen gaat het als volgt: 

De Egyptische farao Toetanchamon is begraven met een dolk die van buitenaards materiaal is gemaakt. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van Italiaanse wetenschappers en het Egyptisch museum in Caïro. 

De ontdekker van het graf van Toetanchamon, Howard Carter, vond de dolk in 1925 op de dij van de farao. Lang was onduidelijk waar het ijzer vandaan kwam. Het delven en gebruiken van ijzer was nog geen algemeen gebruik in de tijd van de beroemde farao. 

(Op sommige websites is enige variatie in het kopiëren aangebracht, zoals: Howard Carter, de ontdekker van het graf van Toetanchamon, trof de dolk in 1925 aan op de dij van de farao.) 

Wat voor de mainstream-media van groot belang is, is dat er een verklaring wordt gevonden die past in het heersende beeld van wat mensen is voorgeschoteld. 

En dat is dat buitenaards leven niet bestaat en dus moeten we maar een passende verklaring zien te vinden. 

Dat is wonderwel gelukt, want: 

Het ijzer blijkt 11 procent nikkel te bevatten, veel meer dan in normale ijzeren objecten zit. Zo'n hoge concentratie nikkel is wel te vinden in meteorieten, stukken ruimtepuin die vaak lang geleden op aarde zijn neergekomen. De dolk bleek ook kobalt te bevatten. Ook dat komt voor in ijzermeteorieten. 

Waar ze toch een beetje mank mee lopen met die verklaring is dat men in die tijd in Egypte geen ijzeren voorwerpen maakte. 

Het delven en gebruiken van ijzer was nog geen algemeen gebruik in de tijd van de beroemde farao. 

Dus, lossen we dat zo op: 

Het bewerkte metaal is van hoge kwaliteit en bewijst dat de Egyptenaren in de veertiende eeuw voor Christus al bedreven waren in het bewerken van ijzer. 

Verder zeggen ze dan dat uit antieke teksten zou blijken dat ijzer uit de lucht komt vallen. 

Maar, wanneer we dan toch kijken naar antieke teksten, zien we dat er 100 jaar voordat Toetanchamon regeerde er tijdens het bewind van farao Thoetmoses III iets heel merkwaardigs gebeurde. 

Iets dat de herkomst van deze dolk zou kunnen verklaren. Een betere verklaring dan: "de Egyptenaren konden opeens ijzer maken, terwijl ze dat normaal gesproken nooit deden". 

We hebben inderdaad een buitenaardse dolk, want die dolk is hoogstpersoonlijk gebracht door buitenaardsen. 

Op een in 1933 door Alberto Tulli van het Vaticaan museum ontdekt papyrusdocument wordt het verhaal verteld hoe er tijdens het bewind van Toethmoses III eerst één UFO verschijnt, enkele dagen later gevolgd door een ware armada van ruimteschepen. 

Wat er niet verteld wordt in het papyrusdocument is of er daadwerkelijk contact werd gemaakt met de buitenaardsen. 

Dat dit waarschijnlijk wel gebeurd is en dat ze wellicht toen deze dolk als een geschenk hebben gegeven aan de farao zoals wij vroeger kralen gaven aan de Sylvana's inboorlingen is waarschijnlijker dan dat de Egyptenaren dit zelf gemaakt zouden hebben. 

 

Zelfs de theoretische mogelijkheid van een werkelijk buitenaardse dolk wordt in de media vakkundig buiten de deur gehouden. 

Triest als je met zo’n “closed mind” en enorme oogkleppen op moet werken van je baas.

West Virginia Witness Videotaped Triangular-shaped UFO

What is the truth about Aliens and Extraterrestrials? Do these creatures exist out there? If they do exist, are they more advanced than humans? Since then, humanity has looked at the stars and still wondered. If you’ve read some books on UFOs, you may be wondering why it is such a big deal for the military and governmental forces to protect the people by hiding the truth. A West Virginia witness in Clendenin reported videotaping and watching a triangle-shaped mysterious object, and described as “the size of a mountain.” The sighting was seen by the witness along with her 31-year-old son on May 24, 2016, at 9:30 p.m. At first, they noticed a ball of light streaking in from the west. Seconds later, it abruptly stopped. The good thing, he was able to take a picture. For over a two-hour period, it stayed until it slowly moves towards the east. The witness started to see the sheer mass of the object after it cleared the western trees.

According to the witness, three white lights underneath it were moving with it. The witness could see a triangular shape of the object as the moon brightened. He added that it was so big that it bears a resemblance to a mountain moving through the sky. Due to the uniqueness of the encounter, he chalked it as one of the most unexplainable things that he has ever seen. The videos did not throw a justice on it as it does not show the three lights underneath that connect the entire element. Also, the third light was not transparent.

Clendenin is situated in Kanawha County, West Virginia with a population of 1,227. Delmer Kelley, the Field Investigator, is investigating for West Virginia MUFON. With a large amount of data available, one should see the topic in an objective manner. Take note that most sightings can be explained as man-made or natural.

Bizarre Pointed UFO Seen Near A Military Base

A YouTube video taken near Wright Patterson Air Force Base apparently shows a UFO. The base has been a UFO hotspot since the end of WWII.

A couple in Dayton, Ohio shot the video as they were observing the sunset from their home. The unidentified flying object appears with its pointed end facing downwards. Mysterious markings are seen along the side of the bizarre aerial object.

The woman was the one who filmed their sighting using her phone. She was surprised to see an unusual object in the sky moving with clouds. Another person in the background appeared to look at the thing in amazement.

After the camera zooms in on the strange object, it fades and eventually vanishes into the clouds.

Another shocked onlooker can be heard in the background.

Tyler Glockner of Secure Team 10 calls it mind-blowing. Glockner claims this sighting isn’t the first one as he has two other sources who shot videos of the same object in the same area.

Glockner adds that the video most likely shows an alien craft. While he doesn’t discount the possibility of it to be a drone, he says that it is very unlikely.

The video was allegedly shot near the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, located ten miles from Dayton.

Between 1947 and 1969, Air Force has logged 12,618 sightings of strange activity in the sky with 701 of them deemed as unidentified.

The Chilbolton Crop Circle Message

People were flocking near Chilbolton radio telescope in Hampshire, the UK on Tuesday, August 21, 2001, to see two crop formations. Featuring a large number of small pixels, both looked very impressive, especially the view from above.

One formed a human face and the other represented a radio transmission that Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) sent from the Arecibo radio telescope in 1974.
According to the witnesses, the Arecibo formation was created on August 20. The two formations were 200m apart in the same field.

The interpretation of the human face came from researcher and writer Wayne Herschel. In his analysis, the face looks like an Egyptian Sphinx and Viracocha. However, the Mars Face could be the most thought provoking resemblance.

The Arecibo in the northern coast of Puerto Rico contains a natural disc-shaped hole in the rock. Inside the bowl is a 100-feet diameter radio telescope, the largest one in the world.

Some modifications performed to the transmitter in 1974, allowing it to broadcast up to 20 terawatts. SETI decided to transmit an encoded message to the heavens as an inaugural test of those modifications or improvements. The signal was directed to the globular star cluster M13, estimated to be 25,000 light years away and consisted of around 300,000 stars in the constellation of Hercules.

Transmitted on November 16, 1974, the message consisted 1679 pulses of binary code (o’s and 1’s), which needed only a little under 3 minutes to transmit on a 2380MHz.

The reason for 1679 is down to mathematics. The number is the unique product of two prime numbers, 23 and 73. The people behind the decision of the number assumed that any lifeform with enough intellect would look for unique, universal constructs, such as binary digits, chemical element frequencies, and prime numbers.

Only the two prime numbers 23 and 73 produce 1679 when multiplied together, so there can only be one way to arrange the signal if converted it into a matrix grid – 23 squares by 73 squares.
The pattern in Chilbolton crop field was decoded as:

“Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises.

Much pain, but still time. Believe there is good out there.

We oppose deception. Conduit closing. 0x07″

The 0x07 is a binary code that means a bell sound or a sound of an old typewriter.

The Foo Fighters of World War 2 saw a UFO while flying over Germany in 1944. These pilots reported glowing objects following their planes during the night. British Roswell X-Files

Another government UFO sighting came in 1980. Called the British Roswell. It is one of the most popular cases in history. And also subject to a wealth of conspiracy theories. John Burrows, a U.S. soldier at the time of the incident, investigated the blue, red, and white glowing with other soldiers. They found a UFO that was made of smooth black glass. One soldier actually touched the alien spacecraft. He said his brain was given a code the second he touched it.

The former Defense Minister of Canada, Paul Hellyer, accused government agencies of keeping alien life on Earth secret. Hellyer has openly said that he has met aliens. And went further saying that four different alien species have visited Earth. He had strongly asked for government officials to come out of the UFO closet.

'Red and white' UFO spotted over Hull KR's Craven Park and 9 other sightings

ALIEN ENCOUNTER: UFOs have been spotted across Hull

In October 1986 twenty people on Bransholme saw a moon shaped object with a curved cone on the top and red lights flying towards the direction of East Park. The group consisted of two adults and 18 children playing football. They contacted Humberside Police who in turn contacted RAF Binbrook, but the sighting was never explained and remains unsolved.

2. Patrington 'zig-zag' UFO

RAF Patrington, known today as RAF Holmpton, was one of the primary recording stations for the phenomena in the region. Whole files from the National Archives feature cases investigated by the staff at the base from civilians, police, and flight personnel. One such case was the sighting of a spherical object with flashing lights, moving in a zig-zag pattern up the River Humber towards Hull, on December 12, 1987. It was reported to Humberside Police who reported it to the RAF base but the case remains unsolved.

3. Tower Grange gets involved

Days after the sighting at RAF Patrington, on December 27, 1987, an east Hull couple contacted Tower Grange Police Station, who in turn contacted the MOD, with reports of a large, oblong shaped craft, with 50 to 100 bright yellow lights flashing around its edge. The unnamed couple saw the craft for a short period before it zoomed away.

4. Large red orb over Sutton

In February 1988, a taxi driver and his passenger were heading along Robson Way, Sutton, towards Leads Road, when they saw a large orange-red orb hovering silently above the road. It was described as looking like a spherical hot air balloon, without anything slung underneath. The report was sent to Humberside Police, who forwarded it on to the MOD.

5. Craft descends on Craven Park

Without a doubt the strangest sighting came in September 1980, when an unnamed individual spotted a red and white round craft hovering above the sports ground. The person said it was there for four and a half minutes, and reported to the Humberside Police, who forwarded the sighting to RAF Binbrook.

6. Hessle's flying triangle

On July 13, 1990, an unnamed woman residing in Hessle spotted a UFO that looked like a giant flying triangle. She watched it for 45 minutes, but stopped and hovered for 30 minutes. It was seen to fly off after emitting a bright flash from its rear end. She ran upstairs and woke up her son and using binoculars, they watched it together. She reported the incident to Hessle Police Station and was described as being "a mature woman of sound mind."

7. The Park Street cigar

On December 26, 1990, a large cigar shaped object was seen over Park Street, Hull, with blue and green lights at the rear. The unexplained craft flew west, then south, but hovered near Hull Royal Infirmary. The eyewitness was described as "sounding sober". It was reported to Humberside Police, who forwarded it to RAF Waddington, but the case remains unsolved.

8. Bransholme school teacher's encounter

In October 1990, a teacher, at Winifred Holtby School, Bransholme, was standing in the car park at 7pm when he saw an object fly towards the east from the west. It remained in view for several minutes before vanishing over the horizon. The observer was described as having worked at the school for nine months, had previously been at another school for seven years, was married for five years, and most importantly, "appears sensible and in complete control of all mental senses."

9. Humber Bridge UFO

Are aliens attracted to the other-worldly Humber Bridge?

Humber Bridge, unsurprisingly, features regularly in the UFO reports. One of the sightings occurred in April 1991, when two UFOs with blue, red and green lights, flew over the bridge. It was investigated by the Humberside Police and the details of their investigation were passed on to RAF Waddington.

Another sighting at the bridge took place in July 1997, when a silver cigar-shaped object flew over the bridge. It was described in the official files as having sharp, pointed wings, with a red light on one and a green light on the other.

It was said to have hovered by the bridge before shooting off at great speed towards Beverley. Interestingly, the official file goes on to state that nine witnesses saw the UFO, "the names of whom are held by the Hull Daily Mail."

10. UFO sends police on wild goose chase

One of the files features an encounter from October 17, 2002, and is described as a "credible witness UFO sighting". It was sent to Humberside Police's Incident Handling Unit, Northern Command Centre at Hessle Police Station on what can only be described as an official UFO reporting form.

The incident was recorded under log number 70, of 17/10/02 at 2.39am, when a member of the public in east Hull claimed to have seen two large flying lights near BP Saltend, seemingly communicating with each other through flashes.

Humberside Police despatched officers, one of whom saw it from Hedon, other officers spotted it from BP, and another said they saw it in Thorngumbald.

All described the lights as looking like stars but stopping and moving at great speeds. Despite this, and an investigation using the Humberside Police helicopter, the file claims the sighting was nothing more than a star or satellite, possibly affected by the nearby gasses emitted from the chemical works.

UFO hunters are keeping their fingers crossed that US President Barack Obama will go public before he leaves office.

Lobbyist Stephen Bassett, who is calling on the US Government to release its secret UFO files and hold Congressional hearings, believes the Prime Minister would follow suit if the Americans made the first move.

And it seems the Tory leader could be in favour of such a move after previously stating no government should hide the truth.

Richard D Hall, who is a chartered electrical engineer, quizzed Cameron during one of his 'Cameron Direct" meetings in 2009, before he became Prime Minister.

While taking questions from the audience, Richard asked him: “In July last year, the respected scientist and astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who was the sixth man to walk on the moon spoke on a British radio station.

"He said that the American government have had contact with extra-terrestrials on multiple occasions and that these were on going.

"He spoke about the Roswell event of 1947, where wreckage from a downed UFO was recovered and found to contain alien bodies.

"He said that this event was real and had been covered up by governments for many years.

"Do you agree with me David, that the British people have the right to know if we have been visited.

Initially the Tory chief poked fun at the question, saying: "I’m convinced we have been visited by alien life forms, and one of them is the trade secretary Peter Mandelson."

But he changed his tone once he realised Richard, who hosts his own TV show called Rich Planet and runs the Rich Planet website, was serious.

Cameron said: "I have no idea whether there is intelligent life out there and no idea whether any sightings that have taken place or incidents that have taken place have any basis in truth.

"All I know is I do believe in freedom of information and openness, and if this question has been asked from time of governments in this country and indeed in the US, I think we should be as open and as clear as possible.

Following his response, Richard invited Cameron onto his TV show but he declined. He did, however, acknowledge his pledge in a personal letter.

Natuurkundige: “De zwaartekracht bestaat niet”

Natuurkundige Erik Verlinde zorgde vijf jaar geleden voor ophef met zijn theorie dat de zwaartekracht niet bestaat. Hij zei dat de zwaartekracht de uiting is van een dieper proces.

Verlinde legt momenteel de laatste hand aan een publicatie waarin hij laat zien dat zijn theorie één van de grote vraagstukken uit de kosmologie oplost: donkere materie. Astronomen nemen aan dat deze donkere materie bestaat, omdat ze anders de bewegingen van sterrenstelsels niet kunnen verklaren.

Gedacht wordt dat de totale hoeveelheid massa en energie van het heelal voor slechts vijf procent uit normale materie bestaat. De rest is allemaal onzichtbaar, maar ook onvindbaar. Wetenschappers zoeken al tientallen jaren tevergeefs naar de bouwstenen van donkere materie.

De leermeester van Verlinde was hoogleraar en Nobelprijswinnaar Gerard ’t Hooft. Die kwam met het idee dat de waarnemingshorizon van een zwart gat een soort hologram is. In dat hologram is alle informatie opgeslagen over zaken die in het gat zijn verdwenen. De materie is weg. Wat rest is informatie op de horizon.

Als materie in een zwart gat verdwijnt, leidt dat tot een herschikking van de materie op de horizon, zo bedacht Verlinde. Je rolt een internetkabel netjes op, maar na verloop van tijd komen er altijd weer knopen in. Hij heeft geconcludeerd dat de zwaartekracht geen fundamentele kracht is, maar een bijproduct van de natuur die streeft naar wanorde.

Raadsel oplossen

“Het heelal dijt uit en hoe verder een sterrenstelsel van ons vandaan staat, hoe sneller het zich verwijdert,” stelt de natuurkundige. “Dan is er een punt waarop de verwijdering sneller gaat dan het licht. Dat is onze horizon. Die horizon heeft fysisch dezelfde eigenschappen als de horizon van een zwart gat.”

Net als bij het zwarte gat zit de meeste informatie over het heelal op die horizon, aldus Verlinde. Nu hij die informatie in zijn afleiding van de wetten van Newton en Einstein heeft gestopt, kan hij het raadsel van donkere materie en donkere energie oplossen.

A Look at the Triangle UFOs

Yeah, I know, its not a UFO, but it is really cool. I was teaching for more wreckage form the flight MH370 and stumbled upon this old ship or sub. 

Google ruler says its 95+ meters across, but since one side looks split open, its closer to 100 meters. There is a visible metal railing all around the edge of the craft so that tells me the ship has a metal outside hull. The floor of the craft is hard to make out, so I can't really tell if its metal or wood, which would help narrow down the date of the sinking and the type of craft. 

I did notice that the ship has a heart shape large fin, like a submarine would have in the back, but it may be just part of the reef its sitting on. 

If you know what kind of craft this is, what the name of this ship or sub is, or when it sank, please let me know in the comments below. Its driving me nuts not knowing.

Des constructions en cercle vieilles de presque 180.000 ans découvertes dans une grotte française

Cela fait déjà plusieurs années que j'appuie les faits et découvertes sur nos prédécesseurs (je n'affirme pas "ancêtres" comme certains car non prouvé) sur cette Terre, principalement sur le fait qu'ils n'étaient pas autant "arriérés" ou "préhistoriques", "hommes-singes" ou même "hommes des cavernes" que ce que la majorité des scientifiques croyaient sans réelles preuves, mais juste une certaine psychose de la supériorité (non justifiée) du genre "Homo Sapiens ou Homme-moderne"...

C'est bien sûr le cas pour notre cousin néandertalien avec ces nombreux articles (voir en bas de cet article) et découvertes récentes qui, petit à petit, ont mené à un fort changement de paradigme (et surtout les "a priori" rarement justifiés des scientifiques des 19ème et 20ème siècle) les concernant, la toute dernière découverte en France, absolument extraordinaire, enfonçant encore plus profondément le clou... mais j'en profite aussi pour affirmer qu'encore plus anciens, les "Homo Erectus" ont très probablement aussi leur part d'inventivité et de mystères que nous commençons aussi seulement à entrevoir...

C'est une récente publication scientifique, effectuée après près de 3 ans d'études, dans le très sérieux Nature qui bouleverse ainsi ce qui n'était après tout surtout que des hypothèses, des dogmes basés sur la fausse pensée que seuls les "hommes modernes" avaient des possibilités en matières d'arts, de constructions et de créativités...

C'est dans une profonde grotte située sur la commune de Bruniquel, une petite bourgade de 600 habitants qui surplombe l’Aveyron, perchée sur un piton rocheux, dans le Sud du Quercy, dans le Tarn et Garonne français. La grotte a été découverte en 1992 par un très jeune spéléologue (Bruno Kowalsczewski, 15 ans à l'époque, s'était en fait rappelé que son père lui avait parlé d'un courant d'air sortant d'un trou ou terrier à cet endroit, qu'il avait senti dans les années 50-60 !) qui a réussi  a se frayer un chemin sur les 330 mètres en grandes parties obstrués qui séparent la salle principale de l'entrée. Une entrée où il a d'abord découvert des restes de bisons, rennes, cerfs et plusieurs ours bruns... un peu comme un indicateur le menant à se glisser dans des couloirs et passages très étroits et difficiles, obstrués parfois par des coulées d'argiles qu'il déblaie et qui le mènent à une vaste cavité ornée par des draperies de stalactites et possédant un petit lac souterrain ! Et une surprise énorme qui le fera alerter les archéologues : sur 30 mètres carrés environ, des morceaux de stalagmites arrachés et découpés sont disposés en forme de cercle, couchés horizontalement pour la plupart et sur plusieurs couches, alors que d'autres sont disposés comme des étais pour soutenir cette construction étrange ! Puis il tombe sur un os d'ours brûlé, la trace de l'homme, indéniablement...

Bien sûr dans les années 1990, les scientifiques n'en reviennent pas... des premières analyses et datations ont été effectuées avec les seuls moyens à l'époque, le carbone 14 et ses limites qui sont atteintes avec l'os d'ours brûlé : -47.000 ans... le débat fait rage car on sait déjà à l'époque que seul neanderthal (à priori toujours) était déjà présent en France, la première apparition (à priori) de Cro-Magnon étant estimée à -40.000 ans... La première publication dans le magazine de spéléologie Spelunca (N° 60) raconte en détail la découverte et les premières spéculations et datations. La grotte Chauvet (avec une visite humaine la plus ancienne datée à 37.000 ans récemment) n'a pas encore été découverte, seule Lascaux avec son ancienneté estimée à -22.000 ans sert de référence pratiquement en matière de grotte encore à l'époque...

Mais dès 1996 et les publications dans la presse (Voir Libération), le débat fait rage entre les tenants de l'hypothèse d'un néandertalien plus intelligent, artiste et constructeur et les tenants de l'hypothèse d'un Cro-Magnon présent en France plus tôt que découvert jusqu'à présent (certains ne veulent pas renoncer à l'idée d'une suprématie de Homo Sapiens et aussi d'une certaine "évolution linéaire")... la description des lieux est un peu plus fournie : " pour y pénétrer, il faut d'abord se glisser dans un boyau étroit. Des éboulis et une pente plus tard, démarre une dégringolade vers l'inconnu: une vaste salle, étrange. Le sol ressemble à un cratère lunaire, creusé de dépressions. On dirait des jacuzzi, ce sont des bauges à ours, par dizaines. Des ossements traînent çà et là. De l'ours des cavernes, du castor, de la chauve-souris, du renne...

Les parois sont vierges, tout juste balafrées par des griffades d'ours, venus se nettoyer les pattes ou s'étirer comme de gros chats. La troupe s'avance dans un couloir. A plus de 250 mètres, encore une grande salle. Et là, au beau milieu, l'étrange structure apparaît. « Ça ressemble à un haricot avec un petit rond à côté, dit Michel Soulier, président du club de spéléo de Caussade. En tout cas, c'est du jamais vu sous terre : ici, des centaines de concrétions ont été arrachées, brisées, assemblées pour dessiner un quadrilatère de 4 m sur 5. En son centre, deux amas. A côté, une structure circulaire plus petite. Les spéléologues invitent à Bruniquel François Rouzaud, conservateur du patrimoine à la Direction des affaires culturelles de la région Midi-Pyrénées.... "

L'hypothèse d'une tente et comparaison avec des structures en os de mammouths découvertes en extérieurs sont effectuées à l'époque... car la datation de 47.600 ans est trompeuse et oblige à comparer ce qui est comparable aux mêmes dates (mais on sait maintenant que ces datations sont fausses : les structures sont beaucoup, beaucoup plus vieilles...)  

" En Russie, en Ukraine et en Moldavie, des structures (de 45 000 ans environ) ­ mais à l'air libre ­ évoquent celle de Bruniquel. Là-bas, on a retrouvé des assemblages d'os de mammouths, dessinant aussi un quadrilatère, avec, au milieu, deux petits tas : des cale-poteaux. Le tout étant destiné à dresser une toile de tente, une peau de bête. « Ce qui est troublant, c'est que la masse de nos concrétions est équivalente à celle des os de mammouths », dit François Rouzaud. Mais quelle idée de se monter une tente dans une grotte ? En ce temps-là, il faisait plus froid (YH : oui il y a -47.600 ans, et oui aussi à -176.000 ans : c'est la glaciation de Riss, bien qu'il y ait eu une période de douceur s'arrêtant vers -190.000 ans !) et peut-être l'homme de Bruniquel a-t-il cherché à se faire un petit chez soi, facile à chauffer. « On peut aussi imaginer qu'ils ont cherché à améliorer l'éclairage, la tente jouant le rôle d'un abat-jour... Plutôt un comportement de Cro-Magnon. » "

Puis la grotte est restée fermée, sur sa propriété privée à l’emplacement secret, pendant quinze ans...

C’est en 2011 seulement que Bruniquel a reçu la visite de Sophie Verheyden, chercheuse à l’Institut royal des sciences naturelles en Belgique. Elle est également intriguée par les étranges structures de stalagmites et demande l’autorisation de lancer de nouvelles études, car les techniques de datation ont fait beaucoup de progrès depuis les années 1990  : la méthode radioactive «uranium-thorium» permet désormais de remonter jusqu’à - 600 000 ans, et n’est pas limitée à la matière organique comme le carbone 14 : elle fonctionne également avec les minéraux sédimentaires comme les stalagmites et c'est donc l'idéal ici. Une nouvelle équipe se monte, composée de Sophie Verheyden, Jacques Jaubert et du directeur de recherche au CNRS Dominique Genty, avec comme premiers objectifs de faire un relevé de la grotte en 3D, de mesurer le magnétisme de la cavité pour repérer les matériaux brûlés et de carotter les stalagmites pour établir une bonne datation. Car le bris des stalagmites puis la reprise des concrétions et donc la création de nouvelles stalagmites au-dessus des anciennes va permettre une datation très précise, puisqu'il y a une interaction précise des humains sur les sédiments à un moment donné !

Six carottes de deux centimètres de diamètres ont été effectuées sur des stalagmites comportant les différentes states, pour comparer les résultats, faire une moyenne et limiter les erreurs. Après une attente raisonnable des résultats de plusieurs laboratoires américain et chinois, la surprise est annoncée. La date de fin de pousse des stalagmites couchées et la date de repousse correspondent parfaitement. Sophie Verheyden appelle Jacques Jaubert pour lui donner la datation officielle. Les résultats sont tous très concordants et fiables, et l'âge donné est vertigineux : 176 500 ans avec une marge de + ou - 2000 ans !

Autant on sait que l'homme moderne, nommé aussi Homo Sapiens ou encore Homme de Cro-Magnon visitait des grottes pour y laisser des peintures ou y déposer des sépultures, s'y réfugier, on sait aussi qu'on n'a aucune preuve à ce jour de son existence en Europe avant 40 000 ans par rapport à maintenant (les premières traces de l'homme moderne étant en Roumanie pour l'Europe). Le seul qui est identifié pour une période aussi lointaine en Europe est l'Homme de Neanderthal, et encore c'est un néandertalien "archaïque". Un cousin disparu vers 35 000 ans dont on ne sait presque rien question mode de vie, sinon qu'il s'habillait tant de plumes que de peaux et cuirs, se tatouait, qu'il savait fabriquer des outils de pierre, utilisait le feu et pratiquait possiblement certaines formes d'art (découvertes très récentes) et de rites. Certaines reconstitutions le décrivent comme étant pale aux yeux bleus-gris et possiblement roux (néandertalien de Spy en Belgique), il aurait traversé plusieurs âges de glace pour finir par disparaître mystérieusement 10 000 ans après l'arrivée des hommes modernes en Europe...

La déduction est logique principalement à cause de l'identification de tous les ossements découverts avant 40.000 ans en France comme étant ceux de la race néandertalienne... est-ce vraiment fiable, est-ce que certaines datations ne devraient pas être effectuées avec les moyens modernes plus récents ? Est-ce que des comparaisons avec d'autres races découvertes récemment (Denisovien par exemple) ne devraient pas être tentées avant de tomber à nouveau dans la facilité de déduction ? La possibilité d'une autre race ou même d'une race encore inconnue (l'ADN semble montrer qu'il manque une race pour compléter le génome humain !) est-elle a exclure complètement d'emblée ?

Les questions fusent : la présence de ces constructions, assemblages intelligents de stalagmites à 335 mètres de l’entrée de la grotte, dans une obscurité complète implique que ceux qui les ont faites, Neanderthal ou autre, maniait les torches en sous-sol bien avant l’homme moderne (rappel : on a trouvé des foyers vieux d'un million d'année en Afrique, donc Erectus avait déjà domestiqué le feu). « C’était probablement un groupe, un collectif avec des personnes qui éclairaient pendant que d’autres transportaient et agençaient les stalagmites », réfléchit Jaubert. Donc il y avait toute une organisation avec des rôles différents et répartis entre les individus. Une coordination, des échanges. Peut-être aussi une hiérarchie, un chef ou un "connaisseur" qui donnait des ordres ou des conseils. Sans oublier la phase préalable de recherche et de choix des matériaux pour monter la drôle de structure. Le travail fut complexe : il y a 400 «speleofacts» dans la cavité – un néologisme créé par les trois chercheurs pour désigner les spéléothèmes (concrétions minérales) transformées par ceux qui ont créé cet assemblage.

Les visiteurs préhistoriques de la grotte « ont arraché des stalagmites, les ont basculées, sectionnées, fragmentées, tronçonnées voire même calibrées pour les disposer de manière circulaire ou les entasser dans les parties centrales de la structure, selon un plan qui était certainement prédéterminé. Les hommes ont déplacé entre 2,1 tonnes et 2,4 tonnes de matériaux. Ce n’est pas un acte anodin. Les bâtisseurs avaient certainement un objectif en amont, mais il est impossible de le connaître à l’heure actuelle. Par élimination, on peut supposer qu’il n’y a pas trop de raisons de type habitat (la tente ou cabane montée dans une grotte n'est pas une hypothèse retenue par les scientifiques), de raisons techniques ou alimentaires… On est progressivement acculés dans le domaine de l’immatériel, qu’on a du mal à appréhender pour ces périodes très anciennes. » De l’art ? Un rite ou un culte ? « C’est un terrain très dangereux, et il faut vraiment réfléchir à deux fois avant de lâcher un mot de ce genre. »

Pourtant, les preuves d'une intervention intelligente sont bien là : Dominique Genty détaille les différentes preuves : d’abord, la carte des anomalies magnétiques réalisée dans la grotte montre les différents endroits où de la magnétite a été créée en chauffant des minéraux. Cette carte coïncide avec les foyers relevés par les chercheurs en observant la calcite rougie ou noircie par le feu. Ensuite, il y a ce bout d’os qu’on a retrouvé coincé entre une stalagmite couchée et sa repousse. « C’est de l’os carbonisé, conclut Genty. On l’a analysé avec un spectre infrarouge, et on sait qu’il a été chauffé à 300 ou 400 degrés. » Donc des hommes étaient là, avec leurs outils préhistoriques pour faire le feu, au moment où les stalagmites ont été installées. Enfin, ce n’est pas une preuve formelle mais les tronçons de stalagmite ont manifestement tous une taille similaire : il y a un calibre moyen pour les tronçons de la grande structure circulaire, et un autre calibre moyen pour les plus petites structures. Or « la nature ne calibre pas les stalagmites ».

Un seul problème pour l'instant, mais les fouilles doivent être très prudentes de peur de détériorer cette construction : aucune réelle trace de néandertalien dans la grotte, pas d'outils, d'empreintes laissées... mais ce n'est que le début, il va falloir des années pour tout étudier et répondre aux multiples questions : Les Néandertaliens (ou autres ?) sont-ils venus monter leur structure d’un seul jet, en une fois, ou sont-ils venus sur plusieurs saisons  ? Combien de temps faut-il pour organiser savamment deux tonnes de stalagmites à la lueur de torches, à 50 mètres de profondeur  ? « On s’est promis de se donner les moyens de répondre à cette question », affirment les trois chercheurs, qui devraient étudier Bruniquel de nombreuses années encore. Au programme de 2016, ils espèrent faire un peu d’archéologie expérimentale  : « Il faut trouver une grotte qui soit accessible, avec suffisamment de concrétions que l’on puisse bouger… On aimerait bien manipuler des spéléothèmes. ». Il serait en effet possible de reconstituer le travail accompli à cette lointaine époque.

Il serait aussi intéressant de dater la fermeture de la grotte, qui est bien moins accessible aujourd’hui qu’au paléolithique moyen, et puis revoir des empreintes et des griffures d’ours au fond de la grotte, dans une zone qui n’a pas encore été très explorée de peur de l’abîmer. Peut-être y a-t-il d’autres traces humaines de ce côté-là  ? C'est donc une découverte à suivre, avec probablement des réponses à certaines questions, qui vont encore plus probablement en amener d'autres...

Une donnée importante à retenir : il y a une vingtaine de "points de chauffe" (ou "âtres", "foyers", "torchères") et ils sont tous situés au-dessus des structures montrées et non pas sur le sol même...

Pour finir, je rappelle également la découverte de structures étranges en forme de cercles et de quadrilatères (un peu comme ces structures faites en stalagmites donc) en Afrique du Sud, donc l'âge estimé par certains chercheurs va jusqu'à 200 000 ans, donc assez proches de ces structures découvertes en France... un possible lien pourra-t-il être établi un jour ? Planet nine: op zoek naar de ‘best mogelijke verklaring’

DOOR BENEDICTE LEMMELIJN. 

Wetenschappers ontdekten onlangs een nieuwe planeet. Of daar gaan ze toch van uit. De planeet werd nooit echt geobserveerd en het bestaan ervan wordt afgeleid uit indirecte bewijzen. Het is immers de ‘best mogelijke verklaring’. Als zoiets kan binnen de exacte wetenschappen kan het in de theologie dan ook voor de duiding van de werkelijkheid die ons ‘overstijgt’?

Of u het ook vernam, weet ik niet, maar ik kwam het te weten via de krant… Intussen kan u het overal googelen en het via een leerrijk filmpje te weten komen: Amerikaanse wetenschappers maakten onlangs de ontdekking bekend van een nieuwe planeet in ons eigenste zonnestelsel, ‘planet nine’, de negende. Op zich is dat al opzienbarend nieuws, maar voor mij nog opzienbarender is de wijze waarop deze kennis tot stand komt. Wat ik u hier vertel heeft natuurlijk ongetwijfeld te lijden onder mijn beperkt positief-wetenschappelijk begripsvermogen, maar de kern ervan komt toch wel min of meer in de buurt. Men ontdekte in ons zonnestelsel, héél héél ver van hier, een reusachtige planeet, die tot tien keer groter is dan de aarde met een diameter van twee tot vier keer deze van de aarde, en die twintig keer verder van de zon verwijderd is dan Neptunus, onze verste buur. De kring van haar baan duurt niet één jaar zoals bij de aarde, of tien jaar zoals bij Jupiter, maar twintigduizend jaar! Op zijn minst indrukwekkend…

Als u nu, zoals ik, dacht dat men deze planeet ontdekt heeft met reuze-telescopen of andere ingenieuze toestellen, dan hebt u het mis. Men heeft namelijk deze planeet nog op geen enkele wijze gezien. Er is geen enkele directe observatie. Men beschikt alleen over ‘indirect bewijs’. Het aannemen van het bestaan van deze megaplaneet wordt, weliswaar op basis van verworven kennis in gelijkaardige observaties, ‘de best mogelijke verklaring’ genoemd voor een aantal verschijnselen die men wél kan zien. Men heeft met name vastgesteld dat elementen zich in de zogenaamde Kuipergordel bewegen in een vaste baan en in dezelfde richting. Er wordt een soort zwaartekracht waargenomen, en dit in een zone die veel groter is dan die van eender welke andere planeet in ons zonnestelsel. De kans dat zoiets toevallig is, is 0,007%: “onmogelijk… tenzij er iets anders aanwezig is”, concluderen de ontdekkers in de Astronomical Journal. “We hebben getracht eerst sceptisch te zijn”, beweren de onderzoekers, maar het blijft “de meest plausibele verklaring”: er moet een planeet zijn die dit alles veroorzaakt.

Indirecte aanwijzingen

Onze nieuwe verre buur wordt dus niet bekend gemaakt omdat hij direct geobserveerd werd. Neen, zijn bestaan wordt ‘gepostuleerd’, en ja, u leest het goed: ‘gepostuleerd’, op basis van deductie tegen de achtergrond van de toepassing van wiskundige modellen en computersimulaties. Voor mij, die geleerd werd dat positieve wetenschappen met ‘bewijzen’ en ‘feiten’ werken, klinkt dit merkwaardig. Als we in de theologie en de filosofie nadenken, observeren, induceren en deduceren en dat ook op een methodische wijze – lees: ‘wetenschappelijke’ wijze –, doen, dan wordt dit niet positief-wetenschappelijk genoemd. Maar wat me nog méér treft, is de volkomen analogie in een andere deductie.

Al duizenden jaren zien, observeren en beschrijven wij, kleine mensen, wat er is, wat er groeit en bloeit, wat er beweegt en zich ontplooit in de natuur die ongelooflijk mooi en ingenieus in elkaar zit. We bewonderen de kern van de menselijke cellen en de bouw van een regenworm. We onderzoeken de samenstelling van de wolken en beschrijven met verbazing de wijze van ademhalen en drinken van een sprietje duingras. En niet in het minst staren we ons blind op het heelal in al zijn duizelingwekkende grootsheid… Bij het aanschouwen van zoveel ‘indirect bewijs’, zij wij, mensenkinderen, tot de conclusie gekomen dat ‘de best mogelijke verklaring’ zou zijn dat er ‘iets anders en groters moet zijn’ aan de oorsprong van dat alles. In de grondlaag van alle religies articuleerde zich een scheppingsgedachte die ingebed werd en wordt in een ‘geloof’ in iets dat die mooie wereld overstijgt, in het ‘transcendente’. Dat iets werd Iemand, en die Iemand wordt God genoemd.

Neen, we zien dat ‘andere’, dat ‘grotere’, dat ‘goddelijke’ niet. Inderdaad, we geven het in onze theologie ook grif toe. ‘God is groter’: we kunnen hem niet ‘vatten’ of begrijpen. Maar wat we wél zien, zijn ‘indirecte aanwijzingen’, zou men kunnen zeggen. En alle filosofische en theologische godsbewijzen die al dan niet overtuigen ten spijt, is het zien van wat we wel kunnen zien – net zoals de vliegende elementen in de baan van onze nieuwe mysterieuze planeet – de eerste aanleiding tot het ‘postuleren’ van de ‘best mogelijke en meest plausibele verklaring’ ervan: iets of iemand, hoe we die ook omschrijven of zijn gaan invullen, die ons mensen en onze hele wereld, het heelal en ‘planet nine’ incluis, overstijgt…

FOOTAGE of a UFO captured by an amateur drone enthusiast has mystified internet users attempting to identify the strange object.

The four-second clip, filmed from 80 metres above Silicon Valley, California, last year, shows a small white object shoot across the sky past the hovering drone.

The speed of the object appears to rule out insects or dust from air pollution as possible explanations.

Confused Reddit users attempted to make sense of the mystery.

“Even though it's quite a bit of motion blur on the object it appears to have some what of a distinct shape to it,” said Wyldcat.

“Either a disc shape or a wing shape with a cylinder/jet engine on top of it.”

Other users called for freeze frames to be analysed of the shape in order to ensure that they were not being fooled by CGI hoaxers.

“I thought it was a bug at first, but after watching the slow motion video it has to be some kind of military drone or something,” said EducatedHippy.

One YouTube user estimated the distance the object travelled as around one mile every one to two seconds.

That would give it a speed of around 2890 km/h, roughly 2.4 times the speed of sound.

The airspeed record is held by the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, clocking in a top speed of 3,529.6 km/h.

“I have no idea what this is, maybe a bug, hummingbird, reflection or alien space craft!” wrote the video’s author, Darmino, on a drone enthusiasts’ forum.

“The only thing I know for sure is that I did nothing that would cause this.”

Last month, NASA were accused of covering up the existence of extra-terrestrials after mysteriously cutting the live feed of the International Space Station just as a UFO appeared within frame.

NASA Claim “Dozens” Of Advanced Civilisations Existed Before Us

A new NASA study reveals that dozens of ancient advanced civilisations much like ours once existed on Earth, but they all came to an abrupt end.

The study suggests that humanity as we know it could come to an end in the next few decades based on the patterns observed with these previous civilisations.

If we look back in history, 3000 – 5000 years, we will find a historical record that clearly shows us how advanced and complex civilizations were just as susceptible to collapse as we are today. This ongoing pattern has led researchers to question the future existence of society and civilization as we know.

If we were to look back further back in time, over 10,000 years, we would encounter evidence of advanced civilizations that possibly predate the Pre-Inca, Olmec, and Ancient Egyptian civilization, not to mention other advanced ancient civilizations in ancient Mesopotamia.

It is difficult to overlook the repeating patterns identified by scholars in most of these civilizations and the NASA funded study is clear evidence of the path ancient civilizations on EArth have taken for thousands of years. This is considered by many people as a sign that clearly states that ancient civilizations have reset a number of times.

These factors have kept on repeating themselves and have been the culprit for ancient civilizations before us.  In the report, applied mathematician Safa Motesharri and his “Human and Nature Dynamical” model claims that “the process of rise-and-collapse is actually a recurrent cycle found throughout history.”

"The fall of the Roman Empire, and the equally (if not more) advanced Han, Mauryan, and Gupta Empires, as well as so many advanced Mesopotamian Empires, are all testimony to the fact that advanced, sophisticated, complex, and creative civilizations can be both fragile and impermanent.”

The study came to the conclusion that there are two key social features that contributed to the collapse of every single advanced civilization from the past: “the stretching of resources due to the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity”; and “the economic stratification of society into Elites [rich] and Masses (or “Commoners”) [poor]” These social phenomena have played “a central role in the character or in the process of the collapse,” in all such cases over “the last five thousand years.”

Even though our civilizations is at a very advanced technological stage, this does not necessarily mean that we are saved from imminent chaos. In the study we find that “Technological change can raise the efficiency of resource use, but it also tends to raise both per capita resource consumption and the scale of resource extraction, so that, absent policy effects, the increases in consumption often compensate for the increased efficiency of resource use.”

One of the best examples of advanced ancient civilizations disappearing can be found in Mesoamerica.

If we take a look at the ancient Maya who were an extremely advanced ancient civilization we find that several factors played a crucial role for this once great empire to crumble eventually. While most researchers would agree that Deforestation, Famine and Drought where some of the key components in the failure of the ancient Maya, we find a similar pattern in other civilizations, not only I the Americas, but around the globe.

Motesharrei and his colleagues conclude that under conditions “closely reflecting the reality of the world today… we find that collapse is difficult to avoid.” In the first of these scenarios, civilization:

“…. appears to be on a sustainable path for quite a long time, but even using an optimal depletion rate and starting with a very small number of Elites, the Elites eventually consume too much, resulting in a famine among Commoners that eventually causes the collapse of society. It is important to note that this Type-L collapse is due to an inequality-induced famine that causes a loss of workers, rather than a collapse of Nature.”

The Coso Artifact—Did the Ancients Use Electricity Some 500,000 Years Ago?

Discoveries of man-made objects confined in pieces of rock or coal offer a very alluring and tangible evidence that in the “impossibly” distant past, humanity was significantly more technologically advanced than we could even comprehend.

At the top of a mountain peak, 4,300 feet above sea level, encased inside a stone lay a genuine example of ancient advanced technology, dating from millennia before the historical advent of the Homo sapiens.

 

On February 13, 1961, Wallace Lane, Virginia Maxey and Mike Mikesell, owners of the Gem and Gift Shop in Olancha, California, went into the Coso Mountains to supply the minerals stock for their shop.

 

To their surprise, in that day they would find not only minerals, but something that may unravel a major conundrum of the ancient human history. In their search for minerals, they stumbled upon an unusual fossil-encrusted geode. Having caught their interest, Mike Mikesell decided to investigate further over the peculiar rock’s structure.

 

In the process of cutting it open, Mike Mikesell found to his fascination that the geode proved to contain something strange. In the middle of the stone there was a metal core, about 2 millimeters in diameter.

 

Casing the core was what seemed to be a ceramic collar that was itself sheathed in a hexagonal sleeve carved out of wood that had become petrified, presumably at a later date.

 

 

Around the fossilized wooden shell was the exterior layer of the geode consisting of solidified clay, pebbles, scraps of fossilized shells, and two non-magnetic metallic items that seemed identical to a regular nail and washer.

 

A piece of copper still remaining between the ceramic and the fossilized wood indicates that the two may have been detached by a now decomposed copper sleeve.

 

X-ray tests of the item brought to light an object that resembles very much to present-days’ spark plugs.

 

Considering the approximate layering and structure of the outer crust, the object has been dated from 250,000 to 500,000 BC. However, the name of the geologist is either kept a secret or simply not mentioned in any source material.

 

n an earlier statement from 1961, an INFO member claimed the object had magnetic properties, but a few years later, in 1969, said magnetism was no longer present.

 

Despite its assumed extraterrestrial origins, the Coso artifact isn’t just a random spark plug encased in a fossil. Its construction clearly reveals that it is very similar to the first superconductors.

 

After a series of thorough tests and meticulous X-ray analysis of the Coso artifact, it was revealed that the so called geode was actually a form of mechanical device. Its metallic shaft presented rust at one end, but the other end was bound to a metal spring.

 

The ceramic finish and the copper and metallic inner parts hint at a kind of electrical apparatus. Though it’s very much alike a spark plug, its helix terminal does not relate to any of our days’ spark plugs.

 

 

To push the mystery around the Coso artifact even further, some geologists claim that the rock where it was found encased was at least 500.000 years old, because it fossilized in sedimentary rock deposited during the Great Flood.

 

This artifact is of extreme importance to archaeologists and geologists, for it reveals the antediluvians had attained impressive progress beyond our expectations: they had discovered and learned to manipulate electricity many thousands of years before the reintroduction of this knowledge into our age of civilization.

 

Like all ancient artifacts that may hold clues to our enigmatic ancient history, the artifact disappeared three years after it was displayed for only three months at the Eastern California Museum of Independence.

 

To spice these intriguing conspiracy-like events, in September 1999, an attempt to track the missing artifact has proven unsuccessful, having no leads to the whereabouts of the first people that discovered the Coso artifact, although the chances were some of the three people involved in the discovery had died before then. The only one known to be still alive is Virginia Maxey, but she refuses to publicly comment about the artifact.

Is this Strange Desert Mineral Evidence of Ancient Nuclear Warfare?

Seven years after the nuclear detonations in New Mexico, Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, the ‘father of the atomic bomb’ was asked during a lecture if he had been the first person to conduct atomic tests. His reply was: Yes, in modern times.

Although at the time his answer was considered cryptic or at least vague, Dr. Oppenheimer was alluding to a series of ancient Hindu texts that described the occurrence of large-scale catastrophes that did not correspond to any recorded natural disasters. More specifically, he was referring to the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit writing that portrayed the detonation and effects of a powerful “unknown weapon”.

 

This subject is obstinately avoided by the scientific community but there is evidence supporting events such as this one. This evidence routinely comes in the form of fused glass fragments found in many deserts all over the world. These pieces of glass closely resemble those found at the Alamogordo atomic proving grounds, the place where the modern world’s first nuclear device was detonated. Desert glass forms when temperatures in excess of 3,300 degrees Fahrenheit (1,800º Celsius) cause the sand grains to melt and fuse together.

 

A STRANGE PIECE OF GLASS FROM THE LIBYAN DESERT

 

They were first described by Patrick Clayton who encountered them while surveying the Sahara in 1932. Clayton discovered huge chunks of yellowish-green glass in the sand and presented them to fellow geologists. A possible explanation came almost 50 years later when one of the engineers that helped create the atomic bomb was revisiting the testing site in New Mexico. He noticed glass fragments that were similar to those he had seen in the desert, albeit much smaller.

Being open-minded, he made a connection. Being an engineer, he did the math and was astounded by the results. In order to produce desert glass the size of the pieces found by Clayton, the explosion had to have been 10,000 more powerful than the one in New Mexico. A very plausible explanation was proposed: the glass had formed due to asteroid/comet/giant meteorite impacts. Such impacts would certainly fit the profile as they cold easily produce the tremendous amount of heat required to fuse silicon crystals.

 

But an impact that great would also leave behind a noticeably large crater and no such craters were found in the desert. Glass was found in the Sahara, the Mojave and the Desert of Libya but neither sonar nor satellite imagery could find any accompanying craters. Furthermore, the Libyan glass had a very high purity and clarity (over 99 percent). In the case of meteorite impact, the silicon is fused together with iron from the meteorite itself as well as other adulterants.

When we piece together all the clues, the picture becomes clearer and we have to ask ourselves: is it truly impossible that ancient civilizations reached a technological level similar to others? Have we truly explored all possibilities? After all, depictions of terrible weapons capable to obliterate entire cities are found in the legends of many cultures, separated by both space and time. Were those depictions nothing more than the work of human imagination envisioning the superlative weapon? What about the physical evidence then? Where does it fit?

 

In my opinion, considering ourselves the first and only civilization on Earth to have split the atom is nothing short of absolute vanity and we all know where that leads to.
