Micah Hanks’ recently-published article for Mysterious Universe – titled “The British UFO Files: An Estimate of the Situation?” and on the subject of newly-declassified British Ministry of Defense UFO files – includes the following words: “One of the most recent reports to come to light deals with an unusual, Cold-War era incident that occurred in October 1982. It involved an American RC-135 spy plane that, while monitoring Soviet military operations, came under some kind of surveillance by a large, unidentified and brightly-lit aircraft. The USAF base detailed in the report was located at RAF Troodos on Cyprus, and discussed an incident involving an unidentified aircraft which lasted close to 90 minutes.”

This is particularly intriguing to me, as I have a story that – to a degree – is somewhat similar to the one which Micah refers to. It’s a case that also revolves around both U.K. and U.S. authorities. The location is the same: Cyprus. The UFO, in both cases, was described as being large. And, the case brought to my attention occurred in the summer of 1981, just one year before the case referenced by Micah. Also, both UFOs were in view for a considerable amount of time. It’s important to note that I can’t be accused of having fallen for a modern-day hoaxer, as the story was given to me years ago. In fact, it takes up three pages of my first book, A Covert Agenda, which was published way back in 1997, a full twenty years ago.

For a period of time beginning in 1981, the source of the story was employed as a radar operator at a particular military facility on the island of Cyprus (RAF Akrotiri). On August 16, an unknown vehicle, described as being “vast,” was tracked approaching the island at a height in excess of 30,000 feet, and at a speed of around 900 miles per hour. It was initially believed that this was a conventional aircraft, although one of an undeniably extraordinary size. This tentative conclusion was quickly blown out of the water, however, when the UFO came to a complete halt in the skies – hovering high above RAF Akrotiri for close to an hour. Those who saw it described it as being of a brilliant white color, triangular in form, and somewhere in the region of seven hundred feet in length.

Interestingly, the informant – who shared his story with me on January 12, 1993 – revealed that at some point before the incident took place, the Ministry of Defense had issued what was described to me as a “complete stand-down” of military planes in the area, in the event that something both unusual and extraordinary might be seen in the sky – which it certainly was. Reportedly, a huge amount of photographs of the object were secured. They, and the station’s log-book, were handed over the next day to a man and a woman from the Ministry of Defense, and who had flown in from London. All those involved in the curious affair were reminded they had signed the British Government’s Official Secrets Act. It’s interesting to note that, soon after, according to the informant, a meeting was held at a U.K. military facility called Royal Air Force Lakenheath, located in the English county of Suffolk. Those who attended the classified meeting, specifically to discuss the event, included representatives of the British Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

There’s no doubt that the most baffling part of the story revolves around the claim that the MoD seemed to have prior knowledge that the UFO would appear in the skies over Cyprus. In light of this, I asked the guy who who related the story to me if he had pondered on the possibility that the object was not a UFO, after all, but some kind of secret, highly-advanced aircraft of a terrestrial – rather than extra-terrestrial – nature. Given that the craft hovered over the base for around three-quarters of an hour and was around 700 feet in length, he felt that such a scenario was highly unlikely. But, he admitted that he had no answer as to how the MoD knew the craft might appear. After A Covert Agenda was published, Mark Birdsall, the editor of Eye-Spy magazine informed me that he had received a near-identical story years earlier. Maybe, in light of all the above, we’ll soon learn more about what was afoot in the skies of Cyprus in the 1981-1982 period.

Archeologen ontdekken in dolmen mysterieuze inscripties die alleen 's nachts zichtbaar worden - HLN.be

Britse wetenschappers hebben een opmerkelijke ontdekking gedaan op een grote, eeuwenoude steen uit Hendraburnick Down, in het uiterste zuidwesten van Groot-Brittannië. Ze bleken inscripties te bevatten die alleen zichtbaar werden als het donker was. Volgens de onderzoekers zouden ze deel hebben uitgemaakt van heidense rituelen die duizenden jaren geleden werden uitgevoerd op de site.

Het was het team van dokter Andy Jones van de Cornwall Archaeological Unit die de 105 inscripties vond op een bijlvormige rots. Die zou dateren van het neolithicum, 6.000 tot 4.000 jaar geleden.

De steen zou deel uitgemaakt hebben van een ritueel waarbij kwarts gebroken werd, zo staat te lezen in een rapport in het tijdschrift Time and Mind. "Tijdens ons onderzoek ontdekten we dat de inscripties veel uitgebreider waren dan we dachten. En dat ze het beste zichtbaar waren als de zon laag in het zuidoosten stond of 's nachts", aldus Jones.

Duisternis werd in oude culturen vaak geassocieerd met het bovennatuurlijke en een verscherping van de zintuigen. "Als twee stukken kwarts tegen elkaar worden geslagen, ontstaat er korte tijd een gloed", aldus Jones. "We vonden fragmenten van kwarts op de site en het kan gebruikt zijn als onderdeel van een nachtelijke activiteit, waarbij de lichtgevende kwaliteiten van de steen werden aangewend om de verborgen kunst op de rots te onthullen. Na het ritueel bleven de stukken op de grond glinsteren in het maanlicht en ze zullen zo nog bijgedragen hebben aan het aura van de site." 

Ontcijferen
Wat de inscripties precies betekenen, hebben de wetenschappers nog niet kunnen ontcijferen. "Maar we zijn er zeker van dat ze ook op andere plaatsen gevonden kunnen worden", zegt hij nog.

Verenigde Staten willen ruimteleger oprichten "om belangen in ruimte te beschermen" -  HLN.be

Het Amerikaanse Congres buigt zich momenteel over een voorstel om een ruimteleger op te richten. Dat moet de belangen van de Verenigde Staten in de ruimte veiligstellen. Maar er is flink wat discussie over hoe dat vorm moet krijgen: als een aparte eenheid of als bevoegdheid van luchtmacht of marine.

Het 'Space Corps' zou onder meer de verantwoordelijkheid krijgen over de beveiliging van Amerikaanse satellieten en ruimtetuigen. Het voorstel spreekt van een aparte eenheid binnen de luchtmacht en de baas van het ruimteleger zou het achtste lid worden van de Joint Chiefs of Staff, een militair adviesorgaan van de federale overheid. Nu is de verantwoordelijkheid voor missies buiten onze atmosfeer nog gewoon een bevoegdheid van de luchtmacht zelf.

Die laatste is niet akkoord. "Het zou het leger complexer maken en meer geld kosten om een aparte eenheid op te richten", aldus secretaris Heather Wilson. Ook de marine ziet het anders en wil graag zélf de verantwoordelijkheid binnenhalen. Met het argument dat ruimtemissies van dezelfde aard zouden zijn als missies op zee. 

Oorlog
Externen vragen zich dan weer af of een van beiden überhaupt geschikt is. "Geen van de twee onderdelen van het leger zijn echt voorbereid op een oorlog in de ruimte", zegt Harry J. Kazianis, defensie-expert van denktank 'Center for the National Interest'.

De primaire focus van het 'Space Corps' zou op militaire satellieten liggen. Die moeten beschermd worden tegen potentieel vijandige grootmachten zoals Rusland en China. Dat laatste land vernietigde in 2007 nog een van zijn eigen satellieten en zou in 2013 al een afweersysteem met raketten getest hebben dat objecten kan vernietigen die rond onze aarde cirkelen. 

Consequenties 
"Mocht er ooit een oorlog uitbreken met bijvoorbeeld Rusland of China, zal die niet alleen op de grond, op zee en in de lucht uitgevochten worden, maar ook in de ruimte", aldus Kazianis, die er zelf pleit voor een samenwerking tussen de verschillende militaire takken in plaats van een nieuw korps. "Winnen op een van die domeinen zou verregaande consequenties hebben voor alle andere."

VIDEO Hij moest er met zijn team 12 uur voor vliegen, 1.200 kilometer voor rijden door een desolate woestijn en daarna nog eens honderden kilometers offroad, opletten dat hij niet op kraaienpoten reed en zelfs wegduiken toen op zeker moment een geweersalvo weerklonk. Maar het was het waard, als we hem mogen geloven. De Nederlandse fotograaf Bob Thissen heeft een passie voor verlaten en verboden locaties en is net terug van een expeditie naar een zwaar bewaakt Russisch militair domein in Kazachstan. En hij slaagde erin om daar adembenemende beelden te schieten.

De expeditie vond midden mei plaats en Thissen heeft er nu een compleet verslag van gemaakt. Hij verzamelde een team van drie mensen rond zich. Dat bestond uit de Vlaming Frederik Sempens uit Lovenjoel bij Bierbeek en twee Denen. "Dat was al een eerste horde. Het was niet eenvoudig om mensen zo gek te krijgen om met me mee te gaan. De missie was best gevaarlijk, want in Rusland raak je net iets makkelijker in de cel dan hier. Ik heb voor mijn vertrek echt afscheid genomen van mijn dierbaren, want ik wist oprecht niet of ik wel zou terugkomen." (lees hieronder verder)

Seksmuseum
Waarom hij het dan toch deed? "Ik leef daarvoor", lacht hij. "Ik reis al tien jaar de wereld rond op zoek naar verlaten plaatsen waar het net is of de tijd stil is blijven staan. Waar niemand nog komt of dúrft te komen. Van vervallen kastelen, leegstaande ziekenhuizen tot een gesloten seksmuseum: niets is te gek. Maar dit was met voorsprong wel het spannendste avontuur dat ik al aanging. Het is een kick om je aan zoiets te wagen. Ik zoek het echt op." 

Na hun vliegreis naar Kazachstan reden ze drie dagen door de woestijn om bij de legerbasis te komen, een plek waar nog nooit een buitenlander een voet had gezet. Het complex staat leeg, maar wordt nog altijd streng bewaakt door Russische militairen. "Het begon al te schemeren toen we op het einde van de derde dag arriveerden. We zagen een beetje verderop een auto voorbijrijden en doken weg toen plots geweerschoten weerklonken." 

Verschansen
Het laatste stuk legden ze te voet af. "Uiteindelijk raakten we binnen en we verschansten ons meteen, want het werd al snel duidelijk dat er druk gepatrouilleerd werd", gaat hij verder. (lees hieronder verder)

De fotograaf had zijn huiswerk gemaakt en hij wist dat er in een van de loodsen twee spaceshuttles moesten liggen, die een aardig beeld konden opleveren. "Kopieën van de toestellen waarmee de Amerikanen de ruimte in gingen vorige eeuw. Ze dateren nog uit de tijd van de ruimtewedloop. We moesten omzichtig te werk gaan om niet ontdekt te worden. Terwijl telkens twee teamleden op de uitkijk lagen op het dak, gingen we met zijn tweeën naar binnen. En we kregen waar voor ons geld", aldus de fotograaf. (lees hieronder verder)

In een van de loodsen lag een bijna complete ruimteshuttle. "Ik vermoed dat die voor 80 procent was afgewerkt", klinkt het. "Er was ook een toestel dat daadwerkelijk in de ruimte was geweest. Ik wilde graag nog een ander loods checken, waar een raket lag. En daarvoor heb ik het risico genomen om er op klaarlichte dag heen te sluipen, terwijl de militaire politie rondliep. Uiteindelijk gingen ze er na 24 in plaats van 48 uur alweer vandoor, omdat hun watervoorraad op begon te raken door de drukkende hitte van 40 graden en de loden zon. Maar met een geweldige reeks beelden en filmpjes. "Een aantal daarvan bleek niet goed te zijn toen we thuiskwamen, dat was minder leuk, maar we hadden gelukkig voldoende materiaal verzameld", klinkt het nog.

What is mutilating cows in the Midwest? FBI probed thousands of reports of cattle killed with 'surgical precision' since the early 1970s - with the deaths blamed on satanic cults, the government and ALIENS

On a bright, sunny morning in the summer of 1973, Ron and Paula Watson, two farmers in Springfield, Missouri, witnessed something that changed their lives forever.

It was an alien abduction, they say. But not of a human – of cattle.

They said they saw a 'green, cone-shaped craft' – next to which two 'silver little beings' were standing over a large black cow.

'I told Ron, 'My god, they got a cow! What are they doing to it?' Paula said. 'It had its eyes open and its tongue was like, hanging out a little bit. But it just laid there and it didn't move.'

She described in detail how she saw the aliens running their hands over the cow and then inspecting their long fingers before they 'floated' it into their large ship in the distance.

Their neighbors never believed their story, though one did admit to having one black cow left unaccounted for.  The Watsons' story sounds like something out of an early science-fiction film – but it became one of many stories of alien and UFO sightings used to explain the thousands of cow mutilations reported across the United States in the 1970s.

News reports make up the bulk of the FBI's 32 page report on the subject, which is prefaced by a brief explanation that their investigation was hindered by a lack of jurisdiction in most cases

Within the depths of the FBI's database of unsolved mysteries lies the graphic tale of these cattle murders, which outraged and petrified farmers for decades, and is still continuing today.

Speculation surrounding who – or what – might be responsible for the killing and mutilation of thousands of cows has ranged from satanic worshipers, government agents, and even aliens.

The most curious aspect is not that the cattle have died, but the way in which they did. Since the early 1970s farmers have discovered their treasured (and expensive) animals dead with various organs excised – including eyes, noses, tongues, hearts, livers, anuses, and genitalia removed with laser precision.

Though many theories have been offered it's a phenomenon that no one – not even the FBI – have ever been able to solve. 

In 1974, newspapers started to catch wind of these bizarre mutilations, which first took place primarily in extremely rural farmlands in the Midwest. Instances were reported across the nation but were mostly scattered among South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, and Nevada.

The news reports make up the bulk of the FBI's 32 page report on the subject, which is prefaced by a brief explanation that their investigation was hindered by a lack of jurisdiction in most cases.

The FBI told DailyMail.com that this was due to the fact that at the time there was no federal law declaring animal mutilation a federal crime, which didn't allow the department to continue investigating.

Many residents reported seeing helicopters circling the areas where cattle later turned up dead and sliced up with seemingly surgical accuracy. This prompted concerns that the mutilations, nicknamed 'mutes' by those familiar with the subject, were being propagated and covered up by the government.

Linda Moulton Howe is a former Miss Idaho turned investigative journalist and regional Emmy-winning filmmaker who has been a primary proponent of the 'alien argument'

This was around the same time of the height of alien paranoia in the United States – when UFOs, or balls or discs of floating light, were being spotted in similarly rural areas, often preceding or following the cow mutilations.

Many who have dedicated their lives to the subject believe, in fact, that aliens are responsible for the mutilations and that the government has been attempting to cover up their crimes (and existence) for years.

One such person is Linda Moulton Howe, the regional Emmy-winning filmmaker who the Watsons shared their story with for her documentary Earth Mysteries: Alien Life Forms. She has been one of the most steadfast supporters of the alien argument.

Her research conjures the images of what we picture as the stereotypical alien abduction – flying saucers beaming animals up into space with light.

At least two people even reported being abducted by aliens at that time – including one woman named Judy Doraty and her daughter Cindy.

In a 1990 symposium proceeding Howe wrote: '…I found in so many eyewitness accounts of orange glowing objects the size of football fields hovering above pasturelands where mutilated animals were later found. Or beams of light observed shining down from 'silent helicopters' that lighted pastures 'brighter than daylight' and the next day mutilated animals were found. And eyewitness reports of strange craft and/or non-human creatures involved with animals.

'There was Judy Doraty who in 1973 watched a brown and white calf rise in a pale beam of yellow light. Inside the craft, she saw tissue cut from the eye, tongue and testicles by two small grey-skinned creatures. They had four fingers, instead of five, and those long, thin fingers tapered into dark nails. Their eyes had vertical pupils like a cat or a crocodile's.

In a rare winter mutilation, this calf was found in Hooper, Nebraska in 1975 with its jaw completely cut out all the way  up to its right eye socket. Eyewitnesses often reported seeing beaming lights or suspicious helicopters near where mutilated cows were later found 

US Senator Floyd Haskell from Colorado pleaded with the FBI to become involved with the mutilations in August 1975 after receiving more than 130 cases in the state alone, and farmers had taken to arming themselves out of fear 

Supernatural explanations were the only ones that made any sense at the time – given that the technology of the era was not advanced enough to have performed what appeared to be the use of localized lasers.

The areas surrounding the excisions, often around the anus of the murdered animals, had a blackened and burned appearance to them – suggesting the use of a high-powered laser. Other researchers, however, proposed different conclusions.

Christopher O'Brien, an author and investigative journalist on the subject, said that in his 200 cases of dealing with cattle death, about 40 of those were done by 'something with intelligence'.

This Hooper, Nebraska calf also had its anus cut in a 10-inch wide diameter and 18-inch deep. O'Brien told DailyMail.com that he didn't believe aliens were responsible - because 'who would fly thousands of light years to collect cow butts?'

He is more skeptical of the alien explanation – saying that Howe's research doesn't incorporate many of the scientific findings that have been made.

He told the DailyMail.com that when a cow decomposes, the vegetable matter contained in one of its four stomachs makes the animal bloat. As the moisture leaves the body it then starts to deflate – causing the exposed edges of the animal to stay hard and darkened.

'To someone who doesn't know what they're looking at – it looks like a burn,' he said.

O'Brien feels that the alien argument is one used to sensationalize the topic and are only looking at a small portion of the total data.

He can't deny, however, how disturbing the number of 'high strange' cases are that he's seen – the ones that involve otherworldly circumstances.

On one occasion which O'Brien calls his 'strangest case' – he was called to the scene of a mutilated calf in Del Norte, Colorado. 

'It was really freaky, it wouldn't rot,' he said. 'It was found in a complete pristine, five inch snow field without one drop of blood on the snow. All the blood had been taken from the animal. The heart and liver had been expertly excised and left in the body cavity.

'The chief medical veterinary pathologist said "it wasn't an animal that did this",' he continued.

In O'Brien's book, Stalking the Heard, he writes that the month-old calf was also missing its spine from the hips to the skull and the brain was gone. It's right front leg was also gone, and the vast majority of its ribs, both eyes, ears, intestines, reproductive tract, and lungs had been removed. Its rectum was also mutilated.

Two witnesses also reportedly saw a large beam of light near the house the previous evening before the calf was found.  

O'Brien's 'strangest case' was this month-old calf that was missing its spine from the hips to the skull and the brain was gone. It's right front leg was also gone, and the vast majority of its ribs, both eyes, ears, intestines, reproductive tract, and lungs had been removed. Its rectum was also mutilated and its heart and liver were excised but left inside the body cavity

He hits on another popular argument for the cattle deaths – though arguably the least plausible explanation. Many believe that the excisions were being done simply by other animals – scavengers such as vultures or coyotes.

O'Brien is quick to discredit this based off of his own experience.

'The first thing I look for is cut hair follicles,' he said. 'When birds or coyotes rip they rip between the lines of hair they don't cut the hair. If I find a 2-3 inch section of cut hair follicles I know that someone or something with a sharp implement did that. It wasn't done by birds or scavengers.'

These 'high strange' cases are less likely to be reported by ranchers, according to O'Brien.

'The freakier the case the less likely the rancher is to report it – they're so freaked out they won't even tell their family or neighbors. He doesn't want people in the community to think he's been singled out and victimized by some supernatural thing. That's why they're very reluctant to come forward.

'It's only when they see the hundreds and hundreds of helicopters being reported around these sites – mostly military helicopters – it's only when they see that that they feel like they've been targeted or victimized by their government and that pisses them off.'

Though the occurrences in the United States have considerably slowed down since they were at their height in the early 1970s, they certainly haven't stopped. O'Brien notes that they have seen a consistently high number of cases in South America, especially Brazil and Argentina.

O'Brien says that throughout his decades of studying mutilations, he's noticed that there's been a shift to South America, where he believes they've had more than 4,000 cases since 2002. A news report included in an FBI briefing stated that more than 1500 cattle in 22 states were killed and mutilated from 1973 to 1976 in the United States 

He claims that since 2002, there have been more than 4,000 cases of cattle mutilation in South America - and are still reporting anywhere from three to a dozen cases a week.

Back in the United States, just before the New Year in 2016, and again a few days afterwards, two cows were mutilated in nearby rural towns in Kansas.

In McPherson County, Carla and John Shearer discovered one of their pregnant cows dead with one eye removed and both her top and bottom eyelids and eyelashes excised.

'We lose animals, but not like this,' Shearer told the Kansas Agland. The couple believes whoever killed their $4,000 cow used a tranquilizer or stun gun to immobilize it before killing it.

'She died in motion – she was walking and she just went straight down,' Shearer added.

The bull found in nearby Harvey County was found dead with its genitals removed – also cut with surgical precision.

It is O'Brien's opinion that the mass mutilations – of which there were thousands reported in the 1970s alone – are a part of a secretive government effort to research animal plagues such as mad cow or prion disease.

'We've seen this many, many times throughout history – where one case will happen and then within a week there will be a dozen. I think they're looking for something – that's the best explanation I can give. And I think they're looking for something within the food chain.

'Bovine spongiform encephalopathy is the most horrendous affliction that you could possibly imagine. It's 100% fatal – it produces large holes in the brain tissue and creates holes like Swiss cheese in the neuron system and the brain synapses start to misfire. You forget to breathe and your autonomic system starts to break down.

'That I think is the basic underpinnings of it – we're dealing with a group that is interested in keeping an eye on the food chain. The beef industry is the largest, most powerful industry that you never hear about. I think we're dealing with something that's being protected by some quasi-governmental group,' he said.

Though tempting to indulge in the possibility of space creatures invading the planet to study our animals, O'Brien finds this explanation a bit too impractical.

GRAANCIRKELS WORDEN NIET GEMAAKT DOOR GROSCH DRINKERS MET EEN HOOGWERKER ( VIDEO )

Ook het Nederlandse volk wordt van alles wijsgemaakt en dus ook dat graancirkels worden gemaakt door jongelui met een slok op. 

Echter, hoe ze dan de volgende prachtige graancirkel in het Engelse landschap hebben kunnen maken, is dan weer niet helemaal duidelijk. 

Een aantal weken geleden was er in ons land een graancirkel in Lochem. Al snel kwamen er berichten in de mainstream media dat het raadsel was opgelost en dat een aantal dronken grappenmakers na een avond volgieten met Grolsch dit hadden gedaan in het holst van de nacht. 

Het zal niemand verbazen dat niemand echt heeft aangetoond hoe ze die cirkel dan gemaakt zouden hebben en zolang dat niet gebeurt, sturen wij het verhaal over half of geheel dronken jongelui in een weiland midden in de nacht naar het rijk der fabelen. 

De boer in Lochem gelooft ook niet dat het jongelui waren, simpelweg omdat er zelfs niet eens sporen te ontdekken zijn. Ze zouden deze cirkel dan gemaakt hebben met behulp van een hoogwerker (waar ook geen sporen van zijn). 

Op 5 juli 2017 is er een prachtige nieuwe graancirkel ontdekt in Engeland in een plaats die Battlesbury Hill heet en ligt in de buurt van Warminster in het graafschap Wiltshire (beroemd om zijn vele graancirkels). 

En net zoals in Lochem is op de volgende afbeelding te zien dat er nergens sporen zijn in het veld waaruit je zou kunnen afleiden dat er mensenhanden aan te pas zijn gekomen om deze graancirkel te maken.

Wat nergens wordt vermeld, is dat deze graancirkel op iets meer dan twintig kilometer afstand van Stonehenge is gevonden, de plek waar tijdens de zonnewende op 21 juni een aantal merkwaardige lichten werden waargenomen. 

 
Graancirkels zoals die bij Battlesbury worden niet gemaakt door halfdronken mannetjes met hoogwerkers middenin de nacht.

En dit soort prachtige beelden in het graan niet zijn gemaakt door mensen, maar wie heeft ze dan wel gemaakt? Wij ontvingen onderstaande foto van een lezer (dank) die ons ook deed denken aan het beeld van de bovenstaande graancirkel.

Wij houden het erop dat de graancirkels berichten zijn afkomstig van onze ruimtebroeders en dat het aan ons is om deze berichten goed te interpreteren. 

Dus, mochten er mensen die denken te weten wat er door middel van dit recente exemplaar wordt duidelijk gemaakt, laat het ons weten. 

 

En ons aanbod voor de Lochemse graancirkelmakers staat nog steeds. 

De enige conclusie kan dan ook alleen maar zijn dat Prins Stef liegt. Waarom hij dat doet, is niet duidelijk, misschien om aandacht te trekken of misschien omdat hij bang is dat er dingen zijn die hij niet begrijpt. 

Bij deze dagen wij Prins Stef dan ook uit om te demonstreren, en dat mag nuchter dit keer, hoe hij dit soort graancirkels maakt. Hij beschikt naar eigen zeggen over een ronde boog, dus dat moet een koud kunstje zijn voor hem om dit artistieke hoogstandje dan nog eens te herhalen. 

Als het hem lukt om precies dezelfde graancirkel te maken zonder sporen achter te laten in een veld, dan zullen wij publiekelijk onze excuses aanbieden. 

Wij weten ook niet wie of wat deze cirkel heeft gemaakt, maar als er weer iemand bekent, laat deze dan direct even aantonen hoe ze dat precies hebben gedaan. Waar Omroep Gelderland in ieder geval nog de reactie van boer Post plaatst, zo maakt het voor de Telegraaf allemaal niet uit, want die nemen alles klakkeloos aan. Zolang het maar in het mainstream kader past.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL ACTIVITY ON EARTH CONFIRMED BY THE CIA

The CIA has released a wave of documents relating to the UFO phenomenon revealing interesting information about the intelligence agency’s secret investigations into what appeared to be extra-terrestrial incidents within the United States.

CIA RELEASES TEN NEW FILES ABOUT THE UFO INVESTIGATIONS  

The newly declassified documents reveal that in 1952 alone there were almost one hundred incidents relating to the UFO phenomenon which the CIA had deemed to be ‘inexplicable’. The report states that the testimony upon which the files were compiled were ‘believable’ but that agents from the intelligence agency had no idea what could have possibly caused them. An agent from the CIA wrote that the situation would continue to be monitored and that there ought to be no reports made to the public about the nature of the bizarre investigations.

According to a spokesperson for the CIA, these newly declassified files have been released to the public to coincide with the release of a new series of the cult science-fiction television program, the X-Files. “We have decided to release to publicity a few files that even the most skeptical individuals will find appealing. Five of these files are fit for “X-Files” Agent Fox Mulder, but the other five files are perfect for his skeptical partner, Agent Dana Scully, ” the spokesperson explained.

However, this explanation has been treated dubiously by some UFO researchers who think that the re-release of the X-Files is nothing more than a convenient pretext for the CIA to release the documents to the general public. It is believed that the CIA wish to eventually disclose the existence of alien activity on this planet but that they want to gently ease the public into the disclosures so as not to engender mass panic or a breakdown of social control in light of the revelations.

In recent years, there have been murmurings that those in the highest positions of power in the world are gearing up to make a revelation about the existence of extra-terrestrial life on Earth. In December 2012, the Russian prime minister Dmitri Medvedev revealed that every leader of the Kremlin is briefed about the activities of extra-terrestrial beings on the planet. However, after the sensational revelation, the former president of the Russian Federation appeared to go silent on the topic. Could it be that all will be revealed shortly? Only time will tell.

15,000 PEOPLE TURN OUT TO UFO EVENT IN ROSWELL

The town of Roswell in southeastern New Mexico was a buzz of activity last weekend as an estimated fifteen thousand visitors descended on the beautiful small town for a four-day UFO festival.  

Roswell achieved notoriety back in 1947 when it became the center of one of the most mysterious and compelling UFO events in US history. It all began when a local rancher named William Brazel stumbled on bizarre debris in the desert which appeared to be the remnants of a terrible air crash involving what some witnesses what some witnesses described as a flying saucer. The authorities initially confirmed that the object that had been discovered was indeed a flying saucer and then promptly changed their story, claiming that the debris was from a fallen weather balloon.

This explanation did not convince the general public who have long believed that Roswell was the site of a UFO crash that the government attempted to cover up. Since then Roswell has essentially become a by-word for the UFO phenomenon, which the local landscape reflects completely. Today, Roswell boasts a flourishing business in UFO themed gift shops, museums, and even restaurants.

Given its history, it’s only natural that the town’s UFO festival would be very well attended by visitors from all over the United States. Tourists to the town passed the time by buying up some of the alien memorabilia available from Roswell’s many gift shops and street vendors and munching on themed desserts such as the so-called ‘Martian turds’.

But it wasn’t all fun and games at the UFO Festival. Experts were also among those who descended upon Roswell and held a number of fascinating panel discussions focussing on various topics such as the comparison between aliens and demons and the logic associated with aligning the UFO phenomenon with Biblical scripture. In addition to this, festival goers were also granted an audience with the famed UFO researcher Travis Walton who has made a number of sensational claims about spending time with aliens back in 1975 and whose story was the inspiration for the 1993 film, ‘Fire in the Sky’.

AN OFFICIAL CIA REPORT CLAIMS THAT 23 SOLDIERS WERE TURNED INTO STONE BY ALIENS AFTER THEY SHOT AT A UFO

A recently declassified report from the CIA had described the terrifying episode when a military unit in Siberia came under a vicious and deadly attack from unknown beings who are presumed to be extra-terrestrials.

According to the new report, which is available to view in full on the CIA’s public website, the soldiers working in the military unit in Siberia were aware of a bizarre flying saucer-shaped vehicle coming into close proximity of their position.

NEWLY DECLASSIFIED CIA FILE DESCRIBES TERRIFYING UFO ATTACK IN SIBERIA  

The soldiers immediately opened fire on the craft with a surface to air missile which brought the flying saucer down to Earth. The report claims that after the flying saucer was brought crashing down, things got even more terrifying and strange.

The CIA notes say that five humanoid beings with large heads and large black eyes exited the craft after it was brought down. Following that, the five beings then appeared to merge together into a white ball of light which began to buzz and hiss at the soldiers. After a period of seconds, the ball of light then exploded. Twenty-three soldiers who were in the immediate proximity of the blast were killed and, bizarrely, according to the report thy were ‘turned into stone’.

There were only two survivors of the devastating attack who were both in a shaded area at the time of the lethal explosion.

According to a Ukrainian newspaper which has covered the terrifying episode, the initial report on the incident was investigated in depth by agents from the Soviet intelligence agency, the KGB. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the disintegration of the intelligence agency in the wake of the end of the Cold War and the reconstruction of Russia, many of the formerly secret files held by the KGB somehow found their way into the hands of the Americans, including this fascinating 250 page dossier on the UFO attack in Siberia.

Cigar-shaped UFO caught on tape over Tampa, Florida

Saw a worm like shape, it moved a all directions hovered over the city until it got further away until we lost sight of it. 

1. We were at a friends balcony in Tampa Florida watching the sky in the afternoon when we saw the UFO.
2. I was the one that noticed it first I thought it was something in my eye, as if it was a bug or something. It moved in all directions until I said out loud what is that. Nobody could answer.
3. A bug or something in my eye.
4. It was metallic, I want to say a little darker than usual. It looked like a black cigar on the sky and moved in all directions. It suddenly changed color onto a bright silver color maybe when the sun was hitting the UFO. It hovered on top of the city for around 30 minutes. It came closer, just hovering our way maybe about 1.5-3 miles away but we got scared and they started hovering on the other direction. There was no type of contact. They just hovered and peacefully left.
5. At first I think you dont process correctly what you are looking at, so your brain comes up with all the possible outcomes. When we realized that it was nothing that we had seen before then fear invades your body. Fear of the unknown. As they stayed there peacefully we got curious and exited to see another species in Planet Earth.

EU Laws Block Requests To Access UFO Sighting Information

A leading expert has claimed that the government hushed up UFO sightings using EU laws. The state has previously been granted the public the access to records, including detailed reports of mysterious sightings in the sky by civilian aircrews.

They are now discovering that the access has been revoked, referring to the European legislation. Britain’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) receives several reports of strange sightings each year.

MOD’s UFO desk was responsible for collecting information on UFO sighting reports, but the responsibility has fallen to the CAA since the UFO desk closure in 2009. As a government agency, the CAA collected files should be subject to Freedom of Information requests.

Any member of the public who wants to gain access to data from government institutions can use these transparency laws. However, the CAA has allegedly refused to release any UFO sighting information, citing the 2014 European legislation.

UFO author Nigel Watson said that such move only ignites government cover-up of UFO sightings and related information.

Principle research fellow Dr David Clarke of Sheffield Hallam University’s department of journalism had accessed the files from the CAA using FOI requests. However, he was refused permission to do it again earlier this year.

According to Dr Clarke, the change is an embarrassment on the part of the aviation industry. He said that the industry does not want to admit that its pilots occasionally encounter UFOs in the sky. He pointed out that authorities should be proactively promoting open access to records of UFO sightings, which is known as occurrences in bureaucratic language, to improve public confidence in air safety.

The EU legislation is designed to protect airline staff, including the pilots, who report witnessing unexplainable aerial phenomena. It states that the release of occurrence information to the media or the general public is not permitted, including in response to Freedom of Information Act requests. The occurrence information, however, can be released for the purpose of improving or maintaining aviation safety.

Strange UFO Rising in Sky’s Portal Viewed by Millions of People

The internet is bubbling over with stories, accounts, photographs and even videos of these alien UFO incidences. When the photos are posted, whopping millions of people of different opinions viewed them. A sensational footage that became viral appears to be an odd-looking object disappearing into a “portal in the sky.” The video, which was displayed on the Facebook page, shows a flying object that was spotted over southern Colorado. It garnered more than one million views.

The video shows a bizarre shaped series of lights rising before the portal opens in the night sky and disappears later on. If this is a genuine video, then it would be the most interesting piece of evidence in every extraterrestrial activity. Unfortunately, it has been exposed recently that such piece could be made through CGI technology. Snopes.com, a fact-checking website, has investigated the footage. As a finding, the article and the video are fake. For one, the page does not say exactly where in Southern Colorado the footage was filmed. Without sufficient information, they cannot check with the local authorities to verify whether the residents saw something that may cause alarm what the witness claims to be.

Snopes went on to conclude that the footage did not originate in Colorado since it was first conveyed in Sonora, a Mexican state on the US border, last March of this year. They admitted finding any Mexican tabloid media reports showing that residents have witnessed the incident. However, a Spanish YouTuber said that recreating the video through Adobe After Effects would also be possible. Irrespective of the opinions, Snopes.com debunked the video as unproven because this video is difficult to validate or disprove without knowing more about what and where it is supposed to be.

Scott Brando, who manages a hoax-busting site branded the interesting video as a fake after slowing it down to stabilise it. On his Facebook account, he labelled it as another fake UFO has gone viral.

Something crashed in New Mexico 70 years ago, or was it someone?

Whatever wrecked in the famous “Roswell Incident” in 1947, it was already world news before the crash debris was delivered to Fort Worth.

In New Mexico, a U.S. Army Air Force spokesman called it a “flying saucer,” setting off a worldwide sensation. But later that day, officers at what is now Naval Air Station Fort Worth showed a Star-Telegram reporter a bundle of tinfoil and sticks and identified it as a weather balloon.

The mysterious debris has made then-Star-Telegram reporter J. Bond Johnson famous, and his photos the most requested and studied in the newspaper’s 111 years.

The incident has been called a cover-up. Maybe so. A later federal investigation described the wreckage as a top-secret spy balloon that officials were hiding.

Did a UFO really crash outside of Roswell?

But the debris in the photos looks like a plain old weather balloon. And why blame a UFO?

Johnson happened to be in the newsroom July 8, 1947, when city editor Cullum Greene sent him to see the wreckage flown by a B-29 from Roswell.

What the information officer there first described as “nothing made on this earth” was unfolded here and looked like foil, paper and sticks. Both the rancher who gathered it up from a ranch near Corona, N.M., and the pilot who flew it to Fort Worth also described it as just a small bundle.

“ ‘Disk-overy’ Near Roswell Identified As Weather Balloon,” the headline read.

Johnson, 21, a Methodist minister’s son and later a minister himself, had graduated from Texas Wesleyan College. His sister, Elaine J. Carroll, said Johnson got the assignment because the staff photographers were gone and he had a Speed Graphic camera.

Johnson shot six frames of Brig. Gen. Roger Ramey, 8th Air Force commander, and other officers with what Johnson described as “crumpled tinfoil, broken sticks and ragged rubber.”

Researchers now visit the UTA library to study the photos for clues, particularly to read whatever is in Ramey’s hand.

“If we could only read what it says,” Iowa researcher Kevin Randle says of the paper in Brig. Gen Roger Ramey’s hand.

“This is the perfect piece of UFO evidence,” said Iowa researcher Kevin Randle, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and combat veteran.

“We see it in his hand. We know the photographer. Now — if we could only read what it says.”

Researchers are using high-range scans to zoom in on the negative. They hope it shows a telegram and a clue about the wreckage, but it may simply be a teletype wire story.

“There are people who say it refers to ‘victims of the wreck,’ but there’s no consensus,” Randle said.

There is no debate Johnson’s photos show debris from a weather balloon.

“Everybody agrees something fell from the sky,” Randle said.

“So far, all the evidence for it being alien spacecraft has blown up in our faces. You cannot make the leap into this being extraterrestrial.”

That hasn’t stopped anybody for 70 years.

The truth is out there: the history of Edinburgh’s UFO hotspot

The skies over Edinburgh have been home to many mysterious UFO sightings over the years

The area around Edinburgh has more reported UFO sightings than anywhere else on earth.

I was born into a family originally from Gorebridge, the ‘hotspot’ of alien activity in Scotland today.

With a mother who passed on to me at an early age her knowledge of the Scottish psychic tradition of ‘second sight’, I had a natural attraction to the subject – beginning with the supernatural, but moving very quickly on to the entities of alien encounters.

Since the 1980s I have been researching UFOs, conspiracies and the paranormal, documenting my own observations and conclusions – some of which are controversial.

The Robert Taylor Incident

In Central Scotland, the skies always seem to be busy, and not just with the landing lights of jets on their way into our airports.

To quote one Falkirk Triangle alien abductee, G Wood, who was lifted from his car on the A70 road in 1992:

“They’re here and they’re [still] coming here.”

Modern tales of UFO close encounters in Scotland really begin with the so-called Robert Taylor Incident, which took place in 1979 at Dechmont Woods, near Livingston.

Later recorded by the police as a criminal assault by an unknown or alien entity, Robert Taylor, a local forester, was accosted at night by a UFO as it was scouting over his area of the wood.

According to Taylor, he saw a large flying dome hovering above the forest floor. He then smelled a foul odour, and smaller spheres began dragging him towards the larger dome, before he lost consciousness.

Several similar incidents were to follow in this central region of Scotland, stretching from Stirling to Falkirk and back to the southern fringes of Edinburgh. The area has since become known as ‘The Falkirk Triangle’.

The folklore of Gorebridge

Gorebridge is a small, ex-coal mining town about 15 miles south of Edinburgh.

My family originally comes from this area, and like so many others, its men had been miners.

Drafted to fight in both world wars, they returned to a community undergoing change.

For, in amongst the hustle and bustle of these human affairs and operating the deepest mines in Scotland, there had also been a long-simmering, non-human agenda of secret meetings and whispered stories of the ‘others’ amongst us.

This excerpt from poem The Ballad of the Gore, dating back to 1916, alludes to the supernatural ‘auld races’.

“… Proud Arniston; in ‘fairs o’ state

for ages Laird and son

Soldiers, Lawyers, Statesmen great

richt sterlin’ work has done,

Wae on the day shouldt frae’t be gone

The auld race o’ Dundas;

May that ne’er be, but lang there reign

its Leddy and its Lass ….”

The Gorebridge story with its ‘auld races’ started within stone-lined tunnel networks, allegedly linking archaic stone circles and underground cities.

These faerie stories have been woven together into a rich tapestry of local folklore by local collectors, such as Mary Macleod Banks in the 1930s.

But the Edinburgh area doesn’t just have a historic link to folklore and the supernatural – incidents are still happening to this day.

Alien encounters in Scotland

Gorebridge, today, continues to display all the hallmarks of an active alien presence and occupation zone.

Many of the encounters there can only be described as intimidating or surreal, which Dr J A Hynek (the father of Ufology) characterised in his 1978 speech to the UN as ‘high strangeness’, an extreme ‘oddness’, symptomatic of alien encounters.

The Gorebridge ‘camp’ is the site of what is believed to be an operational alien base near an abandoned mine, and nearby is Dalhousie Castle, the location of a well-documented alien abduction.

Both historically and more recently, there have been regular UFO sightings above and over the area of an extensive cavern system that also takes in Rosslyn to the west, and Gifford and Goblin Halls to the east.

Reports from this area have spoken of:

– observing/filming massive low-level ships, many shapes and sizes

– alien use of small glowing UAVs which can vanish

– seeing operational stargates near the cavern systems

– time slip

– harassment and interception from Men in Black-

– over-flying ships and 40 spherical, black drones above Barleyknowe Road at rooftop height

– black choppers, under 200 feet – cattle mutilations on film – lights at the old mine

– alien materialisation

– greys and alien equipment photographed in the woods

– holographic shape-changing hardware that mimics military vehicles and aircraft

These incidents are still on-going in east-central Scotland, including the capital itself, which adds greatly to the lore of ancient secrets being enacted today before our cameras and our eyes.

Micah Hanks’ recently-published article for Mysterious Universe – titled “The British UFO Files: An Estimate of the Situation?” and on the subject of newly-declassified British Ministry of Defense UFO files – includes the following words: “One of the most recent reports to come to light deals with an unusual, Cold-War era incident that occurred in October 1982. It involved an American RC-135 spy plane that, while monitoring Soviet military operations, came under some kind of surveillance by a large, unidentified and brightly-lit aircraft. The USAF base detailed in the report was located at RAF Troodos on Cyprus, and discussed an incident involving an unidentified aircraft which lasted close to 90 minutes.”

This is particularly intriguing to me, as I have a story that – to a degree – is somewhat similar to the one which Micah refers to. It’s a case that also revolves around both U.K. and U.S. authorities. The location is the same: Cyprus. The UFO, in both cases, was described as being large. And, the case brought to my attention occurred in the summer of 1981, just one year before the case referenced by Micah. Also, both UFOs were in view for a considerable amount of time. It’s important to note that I can’t be accused of having fallen for a modern-day hoaxer, as the story was given to me years ago. In fact, it takes up three pages of my first book, A Covert Agenda, which was published way back in 1997, a full twenty years ago.

For a period of time beginning in 1981, the source of the story was employed as a radar operator at a particular military facility on the island of Cyprus (RAF Akrotiri). On August 16, an unknown vehicle, described as being “vast,” was tracked approaching the island at a height in excess of 30,000 feet, and at a speed of around 900 miles per hour. It was initially believed that this was a conventional aircraft, although one of an undeniably extraordinary size. This tentative conclusion was quickly blown out of the water, however, when the UFO came to a complete halt in the skies – hovering high above RAF Akrotiri for close to an hour. Those who saw it described it as being of a brilliant white color, triangular in form, and somewhere in the region of seven hundred feet in length.

Interestingly, the informant – who shared his story with me on January 12, 1993 – revealed that at some point before the incident took place, the Ministry of Defense had issued what was described to me as a “complete stand-down” of military planes in the area, in the event that something both unusual and extraordinary might be seen in the sky – which it certainly was. Reportedly, a huge amount of photographs of the object were secured. They, and the station’s log-book, were handed over the next day to a man and a woman from the Ministry of Defense, and who had flown in from London. All those involved in the curious affair were reminded they had signed the British Government’s Official Secrets Act. It’s interesting to note that, soon after, according to the informant, a meeting was held at a U.K. military facility called Royal Air Force Lakenheath, located in the English county of Suffolk. Those who attended the classified meeting, specifically to discuss the event, included representatives of the British Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

There’s no doubt that the most baffling part of the story revolves around the claim that the MoD seemed to have prior knowledge that the UFO would appear in the skies over Cyprus. In light of this, I asked the guy who who related the story to me if he had pondered on the possibility that the object was not a UFO, after all, but some kind of secret, highly-advanced aircraft of a terrestrial – rather than extra-terrestrial – nature. Given that the craft hovered over the base for around three-quarters of an hour and was around 700 feet in length, he felt that such a scenario was highly unlikely. But, he admitted that he had no answer as to how the MoD knew the craft might appear. After A Covert Agenda was published, Mark Birdsall, the editor of Eye-Spy magazine informed me that he had received a near-identical story years earlier. Maybe, in light of all the above, we’ll soon learn more about what was afoot in the skies of Cyprus in the 1981-1982 period.

ALIEN STRUCTURES AND MONOLITH WERE PHOTOGRAPHED ON IAPETUS, THE MYSTERIOUS MOON OF SATURN!

Iapetus is Saturn's third largest natural satellite. The Cassini mission in 2007 revealed several unusual features of this moon. One of these features is a huge mysterious equatorial ridge that reaches a height of 20 km, a length of 1300 km and a width of 20 km. This huge summit involves more than 75 percent of the moon.  

It is unclear how this huge protuberance was formed, and NASA experts are having a hard time explaining why this ridge follows the equator almost perfectly. There are at least four current hypotheses, and the first is that the ridge could be icy material, which flowed below the surface and then solidified on the Iapetus surface.

The second hypothesis is that the "ring-shaped ridge" was created during its formation due to the "Hill sphere", or a sphere of gravitational influence of a celestial body, which compared to the perturbations of another organism, with A larger mass, around which it orbits, it created the equatorial ridge in Iapetus.

The third hypothesis is that the protuberance on the moon of Saturn is the result of an old geological convective overturning. The fourth hypothesis, risked by ufologists is that Iapetus is not a natural moon, but an artificial structure built by an alien race, and it has become an alien space outpost.

Extraordinary sight of 'alien UFO disappearing into portal seen across the globe'

PEOPLE across the globe have reportedly witnessed and filmed what many claim to be a remarkable event.

Reports on social media, which have been picked up by mainstream news outlets across the world, claim a UFO has been filmed seemingly rising into a "portal" that then closes and vanishes.

The startling sights have happened in Russia, north American, and Mexico.

However, despite reports of the visions continuing as recently as yesterday, experts have now dismissed it as a viral hoax which has been viewed well over one million times.

One international news site ran the story yesterday.

It suggested the incident may have been filmed above Yakutia, in Russia, entitled: "Bizarre diamond-shaped 'UFO' swallows another unidentified flying object in the night sky."

The article said: "The strange video, seeming to show a mysterious unidentified flying object full of lights in the night sky, has emerged in media circles in Yakutia, the largest region in Russia. 

"There is no information about when and where it happened. 

"Yakutia or the Sakha Republic is the largest region in Russia, and appropriately is famous for its diamonds.

The strange video, seeming to show a mysterious unidentified flying object full of lights in the night sky, has emerged in media circles in Yakutia, the largest region in Russia.

International newspaper website

"Police have not reported calls about strange objects in the sky."

The story was then covered in the UK press.

However, the new reports show how easily viral reports can travel online.

Express.co.uk reported back in June how debunking website Snopes.com had reached the conclusion a video showing the same footage, which was viewed by more than one million people, was likely a CGI-made fake.

The website examined a version of the same video doing the rounds on social media, which said the event had been filmed in southern Colorado.

Snopes.com found earlier versions of the video claimed the footage had been recorded in Mexico.

The site said: "However because the video shows something rather outlandish happening, one would expect it to have been covered by the local news media — and there are no reports in Colorado matching the description of such a sighting (although the southern Colorado region known as San Luis Valley is an apparent hotspot for UFO sightings."

Snopes added the video did not even originate from Colorado, and was first reported in March this year as being Sonora, a Mexican state on the US border.

UFOs coming out of cloud formations recorded over Lake Havasu, Arizona and Aylmer QC, Canada

The following two sightings show unknown objects coming out of strange cloud formations recorded over Lake Havasu, Arizona and Aylmer QC, Canada.

Case 1: UFOs caught on video from plane near Havasu City, Arizona.

Havasu City, Arizona - May 5, 2017: I fly weekly, so I've seen a lot in my years of travel. On this particular flight on the 5th, I suddenly caught a shining bright light from my corner vision.

It wasn't a reflective shine; it had a gold shine as video may indicate.

We had just passed Lake Havasu (I was tracking our flight).

The objects were moving in what seemed a northwesterly direction. See video below.

Case 2: Dark square changing into a bell like object hanging from a strange oval cloud over Aylmer QC, Canada.

On May 16, 2017 I was looking out my window at the river and dark clouds. All if a sudden one if the clouds hanging over the river between Ontario and Quebec seemed to have what appeared to be a darker square like cloud under it but seemed attached.

I took out my binoculars and sure enough it looked like a small dark square made of something solid bout cloud was over it.

I put down the camera for a minute and when I picked it back up the sun was shining on one side of the square and it reflected as if metal. It was definitely a cube then.

The sun went in and when I looked again the object seemed to have split and then later once again and wasn't as square ad before.

Actually after I took photos of it and enlarged the last picture, this going to sound odd but the shape reminded me the Nazi Die Glocke, the bell.

It was the same shape of that bell. All the time it hung there it didn't go anywhere, it just stayed over the river and seemed to change shape by absorbing another object or just shape shifting.

I don't know if it went back up into the dark cloud or disintegrate but my guess is the former.

I live in the capital too though so government experimental craft can't be excluded either. You can see the video, which I have submitted to Mufon, registered under case 84990, of the strange cloud/object here:

Thursday’s 5.8-magnitude earthquake in western Montana was the strongest to hit the state in 60 years, and it quickly raised fears that the nearby Yellowstone supervolcano had awoken from its long slumber. But Montana residents can rest easy: While the Yellowstone volcano is active, a common earthquake is unlikely to have an effect on this ancient cauldron of superheated rock.

Still, local fears are understandable: The temblor struck early on the morning of July 6, some 230 miles from Yellowstone National Park, and was accompanied by at least 10 lesser quakes. It was the region’s strongest earthquake in over a decade, but although the shaking startled residents, scientists quickly determined that it didn’t represent the ominous rumblings of an awakening supervolcano. The U.S. Geological Survey’s seismic sensors immediately identified the quake’s culprits, which were slipping faults — fractures in the Earth’s crust — and not a threatening reservoir of pressurized magma, waiting to explode out of the ground.

Scientists, however, certainly believe that the massive Yellowstone volcano, whose rim measures 30 miles long by 45 miles wide, has a catastrophic potential far greater than anything mankind has ever experienced before. It’s just not likely to reveal it anytime soon.

Quakes as intense as the one Montana just experienced are unsettling, but this earthly rousing is geologically commonplace. Yellowstone National Park experiences between 1,000 and 3,000 earthquakes each year, revealing an active volcanic world beneath one of America’s most popular national park destinations. The park’s heat-propelled geysers and dangerous thermal pools also hint at the hot magma brewing below.

But all that activity does not portend an eruption, large or small. Though scientists will never rule out the possibility of an eruption entirely, decades of everyday monitoring have revealed no signs of a looming eruption. According to the Yellowstone National Park’s website:

Another caldera-forming eruption is theoretically possible, but it is very unlikely in the next thousand or even 10,000 years. Scientists have also found no indication of an imminent smaller eruption of lava.

Signs of volcanism at or around Yellowstone, the park notes, should be expected:

As at many caldera systems around the world, small earthquakes, ground uplift and subsidence, and gas releases at Yellowstone are commonplace events and do not reflect impending eruptions.

If an eruption was imminent, scientists expect the buildup to be more extreme, something that would be detectable for weeks or even years. This would include massive deformations of the land around the park (think abruptly formed canyons) and a continued onslaught of earthquake swarms, perhaps jolting the area each day.

Yellowstone's history is a history of caldera-forming volcanism.  A caldera is a volcanic basic, caused by a collapse of earth following a magma-emptying eruption. 

Lava last gushed out of the Yellowstone supervolcano around 70,000 years ago, and in the last two million years, scientists believe that three “major” volcanic eruptions occurred. One of these, the Island Park super-eruption, left a telltale blanket of volcanic rock in the area about two million years ago, and scientists estimate that this event produced 2,500 times more ash than the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption. This geologically puny eruption, it should be noted, leveled a forest, tossed trees around like toothpicks, blew the top off a mountain, caused over a billion dollars in damage, and dumped ash onto 11 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces.

The Stormy Reason Tonight’s Full Moon is the "Thunder Moon"

This moon has actually been gifted several names.

Early Sunday morning, a full moon will take over the night sky, along with a clear glimpse of Saturn nearby. The Thunder Moon with be completely full at 12:07 a.m. Eastern time on Sunday, when the Earth is directly between the Sun and the Moon, allowing for its full luminosity. As is typical of a summer full moon, it will be visible above the horizon for a shorter time than in winter months. This summer full moon will grace us for around 10 hours.

Why It’s Called the “Thunder Moon”

The names we use for full moons come from Indigenous titles given to each one hundreds of years ago. The names tend to correspond to natural characteristics of the season and can carry spiritual significance. April’s Pink Moon was named after the pink wildflower known as phlox, which blooms around the same time as the moon phase.

This moon has actually been gifted several names. The Thunder Moon comes from a charmingly obvious point of inspiration — summer is a time of constant thunderstorms around much of the U.S. Algonquins also called it the Full Buck Moon; at this time of year a male deer’s antlers are in full growth mode. The Tlingit, in the Pacific Northwest, referred to it as the Salmon Moon.

Best Spots to See It

The best views of the moon will be where it’s highest in the sky — in this case the southern U.S. will get a prime-time view. In Miami, the Thunder Moon’s altitude will reach 48 degrees above the horizon, making it one of the best places to see it. New Yorkers will get a decent view, with the Thunder Moon reaching a maximum altitude of 29.3 degrees. On the opposite side of the world, Australia will get the least optimal perspective, with the full moon beginning to rise about three hours after its full phase has already occurred, at 2:07 p.m. in Sydney.

If you’re fortunate enough to see the full moon at night, hopefully it won’t be too stormy to get a good view. If the evening lives up to this moon’s namesake, don’t lose hope: a near-full moon will be visible on Monday as well.

A resident from Glendale, California took an image of a B1 bomber while doing a flyby at rose bowl in Pasadena.

Although the event occurred in 2012, when looking the image on his computer again, he noticed two unknown flying objects close to the B1 bomber which he did not saw with the naked eye at the time he took the image.

A bizarre video which purports to show a UFO disappearing inside another before they both vanish has left viewers scratching their heads.

The strange film has been seen in the diamond-rich region of Yakutia in Russia's Siberia province, but its origin and location is unclear.

A man called Semyon, who posed the weird footage, said: "An unidentified flying object was seen floating above houses. It had many lights, and also a vapour trail."

He added: "At the end of a short video a diamond-shaped brightly illuminated 'window' opens up above the flying object, which disappears into it."

The diamond-shaped object then vanishes.

"There is no information about when and where it happened," said Semyon.

One theory is that the video is a "performance" involving lasers and a drone.

"Police have not reported calls about strange objects in the sky," reported The Siberian Times.

This is not the first UFO which has appeared over this region.

In October last year, a series of bright green flashes were seen in the sky above Lake Baikal near the Mongolian border.

Initially people believed it was the tail of a International Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) test but this was later disproved and a leading astronomer said it was not a meteorite.

Lilia Mironova from the Astronomical Observatory at Buryat State University in Ulan-Ude told the Siberian Times it was "definitely man-made" as it was travelling too slow to be a meteorite, meteor or comet and if it had hit the ground there would have been a "shockwave".

Exactly 70 years ago, on 8 July 1947, one of the most famous UFO sightings was reported by the press and it captivated both common folks and UFO hunters for years.

It was the Roswell incident where witnesses claimed that the US military had captured an alien aircraft. In reality, or what US military maintained, it was the debris of a surveillance device from a classified operation that was spotted by people.

But many still believe that there was some extra-terrestrial activity that day and that there are aliens out there who have visited Earth from time to time! And not just this, conspiracy theorists are firm...

ASTRONOMERS DISCOVERED A SOLAR SYSTEM WITH 7 EARTH-SIZED PLANETS — AND IT’S THE PERFECT PLACE TO SEARCH FOR ALIEN LIFE

NASA just announced something fantastic! A solar system 39 light years from Earth with seven exoplanets.

But that’s not the best part: Each planet is similar in size to Earth.

This doesn’t mean they are all similar in composition to Earth, nor are they teeming with life, but the possibility is there.

Three of the seven planets live in the habitable zone, where liquid water can exist on large scales — think vast, deep oceans like on Earth. And where there’s water, there’s the potential for life, as we know it.

This planetary system was first discovered in early 2016, but we now know how rich it is in Earth-sized planets. In fact, it holds the record for the most number of Earth-sized planets in a single planetary system.

Do any of these planets harbor life? That’s a question that we’ll have to wait to see.

Alien craft? Motorist films bizarre green ‘trailing UFO’ soaring into sky

THIS strange green object which appears to be soaring upwards into the sky has been called inexplicable by UFO conspiracy theorists.

Most of us haven’t quite realized there is something extraordinary happening.

A few months ago, I freed myself from standard-procedure society. I broke the chains of fear that kept me locked up into the system. Since then, I see the world from a different perspective: the one that everything is going through change and that most of us are unaware of that.

Why is the world changing? In this post, I’ll point out the eight reasons that lead me to believe it.

1. No one can stand the employment model any longer.

We are reaching our limits. People working with big corporations can’t stand their jobs. The lack of purpose knocks on your door as if it came from inside you like a yell of despair.

People want out. They want to drop everything. Take a look on how many people are willing to risk entrepreneurship, people leaving on sabbaticals, people with work-related depression, people in burnout.

2. The entrepreneurship model is also changing.

Over the past few years, with the explosion of startups, thousands of entrepreneurs turned their garages into offices to bring their billion-dollar ideas to life. The vortex of entrepreneurship was to find an investor and get funded — to be funded was like winning the World Cup or the Super Bowl.

But what happens after you get funded?

“Isn’t it absurd that we, 7 billion of us living in the same planet, have grown further apart from each other?”

You get back to being an employee. You may have brought in people not sharing your dream, not in agreement with your purpose, and soon it’s all about the money. The financial end becomes the main driver of your business.

People are suffering with it. Excellent startups began to tumble because the money-seeking model is endless.

A new way to endeavor is needed. Good people are doing it already.

3. The rise of collaboration.

Many people have figured out that it doesn’t make any sense to go on by yourself. Many people have awakened from the “each man for himself” mad mentality.

Stop, take a step back, and think. Isn’t it absurd that we, 7 billion of us living in the same planet, have grown further apart from each other? What sense does it make to turn your back on the thousands, maybe millions, of people living around you in the same city? Every time it crosses my mind, I feel blue.

Fortunately, things are changing. Sharing, collaborative economy concepts are being implemented, and it points towards a new direction. The direction of collaborating, of sharing, of helping, of togetherness.

This is beautiful to watch. It touches me.

4. We are finally figuring out what the Internet is.

The Internet is an incredibly spectacular thing, and only now — after so many years — we are understanding its power. With the Internet, the world is opened, the barriers fall, the separation ends, the togetherness starts, the collaboration explodes, the help emerges.

Some nations saw true revolutions that used the Internet as the primary catalyst, such as the Arab Spring. Here in Brazil, we are just starting to make a better use out of this amazing tool.

Internet is taking down mass control. The big media groups controlling news by how it suits best what they want the message to be and what they want us to read are no longer the sole owners of information. You go after what you want. You bond to whomever you want. You explore whatever you may want to.

With the advent of the Internet, the small are no longer speechless. There is a voice. The anonymous become acknowledged. The world comes together. And then the system may fall.

5. The fall of exaggerated consumerism.

For too long, we’ve been manipulated to consume as much as we possibly can, to buy every new product launched — the newest car, the latest iPhone, the top brands, lots of clothes, shoes, lots and lots and lots of pretty much anything we could our hands on.

Going against the crowd, many people have understood that this is way off. Lowsumerism, slow life and slow food are a few types of action being taken as we speak, pointing out the contradiction of how absurdly we have come to organize ourselves.

“With the advent of the Internet, the small are no longer speechless. There is a voice. The anonymous become acknowledged. The world comes together. “

Fewer people are using cars. Fewer people are overspending. And more people are swapping clothes, buying used goods, sharing assets, cars, apartments, offices.

We don’t need all of that they told us we needed. And this consciousness of new consumerism can take down any company living on the exaggerated end of it.

6. Healthy and organic eating.

We were so crazy we even accepted eating anything! It only needed to taste good, and everything would be alright.

We were so disconnected that companies started to practically poison our food, and we didn’t say anything!

But then some people started waking up, enabling and strengthening healthy and organic eating.

This is only going to get stronger.

But what has this got to do with economy and work? Just about everything, I’d say.

Food production is one of the basic fundamentals of our society. If we change our mindset, our eating habit and our way of consuming, corporations will have to respond and adapt to a new market.

The small farmer is getting back to being relevant to the whole chain of production. People are even growing plants and seeds inside their homes as well.

And that reshapes the whole economy.

7. The awakening of spirituality.

How many friends do you have who practice yoga? What about meditation? Now think back, 10 years ago. How many people did you know by then who practiced these activities?

Spirituality, for too long, was for esoteric folks — those weird-like and mystic people.

But fortunately, this is also changing. We’ve come to the edge of reason and rationality. We were able to realize that, with only our conscious mind, we can’t figure out everything that goes on here. There is something else going on, and I’m sure you want to get hold of that as well.

You want to understand how these things work — how life operates, what happens after death, what is this energy thing people talk about so much, what is quantum physics, how thoughts can be materialized and create our sense of reality, what is coincidence and synchronicity, why meditation works, how it’s possible to cure some ailments using nothing but bare hands, how those alternative therapies not always approved by regular medicine can actually work sometimes.

Companies are providing meditation to their employees. Even schools are teaching the young how to meditate. Think about it.

8 . Un-schooling trends.

Who created this teaching model? Who chose the classes you have to take? Who chose the lessons we learn in history classes? Why didn’t they teach us the truth about other ancient civilizations?
Why should kids follow a certain set of rules? Why should they watch everything in silence? Why should they wear a uniform? What about taking a test to prove what you actually learned?

We developed a model that perpetuates and replicates followers of the system, that breed people into ordinary human beings.

Fortunately, a lot of people are working to rethink that though concepts such as un-schooling, hack-schooling and homeschooling.

Maybe you’ve never thought of that and even may be in shock. But it’s happening.

Silently, people are being woken up and are realizing how crazy it is to live in this society.
Look at all these new actions and try to think everything we were taught so far is normal. I don’t think it is.

There is something extraordinary happening.

Patterns in Earth's Magnetic Field Morph Every 1000 Years --"The Reason is a Mystery"

In the new science fiction film Arrival, Amy Adams must convince moviegoers that she is a crack linguist named Dr. Louise Banks, tasked with communicating with a many-tentacled alien species called Heptapods. Unsurprisingly, making us believe Amy Adams is really Louise is much easier than convincing us that Heptapods are what aliens might actually look like. Science fiction can make us believe all sorts of things, but there’s a tricky difference between something seeming realistic and being realistic.

At first glance, the aliens of Arrival are more convincing — or at least more complicated — than the extraterrestrials found in most sci-fi movies. But why? The simple answer to this is that they have both tentacles and a complex language. Plus, their language is real, even if it was made specifically for the movie. This means humans could conceivably use the logograms in Arrival to communicate, giving the alien invasion movie a sheen of plausibility.

Much older science fiction dealing with aliens (TV, film, poetry, or prose) often now feels laughable and outdated, because how can you not laugh at those stupid rubber masks in Outer Limits? But, it’s pretty important to remember that these don’t feel dated because of any contemporary advance of real science. As of now, there is no working biological field of study about what intelligent aliens would look actually look like. This isn’t to say the entire field of astrobiology doesn’t exist, it’s just that it’s primarily focused on the extraterrestrial environments where basic organisms could evolve. Wild speculation about whether intelligent aliens would have tentacles or exist as hive minds made out of gas doesn’t figure into real astrobiology.

And in terms of real science, contact with intelligent alien life is improbable enough to be considered practically impossible. The Fermi Paradox states plainly that the reason we don’t see any evidence intelligent alien life in the Milky Way Galaxy is because there isn’t any.

In short: Because intelligent alien bodies have never, ever been seen, there is no real scientific case study on which to base their fictional design. Instead, the presentation of more “realistic” aliens with tentacles in science fiction is probably based on this line of thinking: Life as we know it would have evolved in an ocean. Things that live in the ocean have tentacles and seem “alien” to humans. Ergo, more “realistic” aliens would have space tentacles. And because there’s a legacy of great science fiction — like Octavia Butler’s 1987 novel Dawn — that feature complex aliens with tentacles, the many-tentacled alien motif has become code for more a more “plausible” alien.

Tentacles then, might be somewhat superficial, making the Heptapods really no more “alien” than the pointy-eared Vulcan, Mr. Spock on Star Trek. This isn’t the fault of the Heptapods, or of Mr. Spock. It’s actually just a very real limitation human creativity.

Ted Chiang’s short story “The Story of Your Life” (the basis for Arrival) finds Louise ruminating on the challenges of communicating with the aliens: “The familiar was far away, while the bizarre was close at hand,” she says. And though this is a brilliant line, it belies the opposite tendency of the physical depiction of aliens in most science fiction: We are in fact very “familiar” with the “bizarreness” of aliens who have tentacles.

In his groundbreaking 1997 meta-fictional essay/short story titled “If Lions Could Speak,” noted science fiction writer Paul Park points out that when any writer tries to “describe” an alien, that writer is probably only describing humanity through a lens. As Park writes: “The words we put into an alien mouth, the feeling into an alien heart, the tools into alien hands, what can they be but imitations of our words, feelings, tools?” In both “The Story of Your Life” and Arrival, the Heptapod aliens work in the narrative because there’s something human and relatable about them, despite their exotic appearance. No one loves this movie or short story because of the extreme “alienness” of the Heptapods. Instead, we love it because it has heart.

As Park writes, stories about aliens invariably show us something other than aliens: “When a writer conceives of an alien species, she will extrapolate what human beings would be like if they shared the alien’s morphology.” In his novel Coelestis (published as Celestis in the U.S.) Paul Park explored this as a literary conceit: The only way to write about aliens would be to imagine an alien who had been forced to be human. The story of Coelestis is all about aliens who have been coerced over the years to essentially change their species over to humanity. The novel focuses on a girl named Katherine who originally wasn’t a “girl,” because she’s not actually human. The plot then, focuses on her discovering her “alien” qualities. In this way, the dishonesty of trying to write from a true “alien” point of view is slyly subverted. “You can’t talk about the subject [of aliens] directly, or in a way that makes sense,” Park told Inverse, “Because of the logical problem in the story.”

Practically speaking, a realistic story about alien intelligence defies logic. In Stanislaw Lem’s famous novel Solaris, the basic question of bridging impossible communication gaps ends in sad failure. An intelligent alien ocean conjures up dead people from the memories of a depressed scientists in an attempt to say hello. Clearly, something is lost in translation.

But the impossibility of it all isn’t why we love stories like this. The communication with the Heptapods in Arrival is warm and touching because were are convinced — for a brief moment — that these aliens are real. The attention to detail and the idea that language is so central to the plot cements their “reality” firmly enough to make us care. But Louise’s journey with her Heptopod friends is ultimately — as all good alien stories are — mostly about her. “The alien intelligence becomes part of the landscape, something to be experienced or overcome,” Paul Park said. “It’s something to show us aspects of ourselves.”

When Louise writes the word “human” on her little dry erase board in Arrival, she’s really holding up a mirror to the Heptapods. And even if the reflection in that mirror is covered in tentacles, make no mistake, these aliens are still totally human.

Asking someone if they believe in aliens might seem like an innocent enough question, but it’s actually really loaded. Believing in the possibility of extraterrestrial life existing somewhere is definitely not the same as believing in abductions, flying saucers and government cover-ups. As many UFO fans celebrate the anniversary of Roswell, consider this: how come there have been fewer reports flying saucers and alien abductions in the age of the camera phone?

Many true-believers of little grey aliens consider July 8, 1947 to be a seminal moment, as it was the official date of the so called-“Roswell Incident”. According to lore, alleged real aliens crashed in Roswell, New Mexico and were quickly hidden by the US government. If you believe that alien visitors did in fact crash land on US soil on that date, that’s okay. But consider this: most of the eye-witness accounts of the Roswell crash are not only contradictory, they also don’t provide any kind of scientific body of information for anyone study. In his 1975 essay “The Rocketing Dutchman,” Isaac Asimov elucidated the problem with considering only eye-witness accounts as “proof” of flying saucers. “Eyewitness evidence by a small number of people uncorroborated by any other sort of evidence is worthless,” Dr. Asimov wrote. “There is not a single mystical belief that is not supported by numerous cases of eyewitness evidence.”

As Asimov explained, real scientific inquiry requires impartial data. Of course, devotees and fans of the X-Files who have mistaken it for a series of non-fiction documentaries will tell you that the lack of evidence supports the existence of a cover-up. Asimov calls this kind of circular argumentation “one of the chief delights of the intellectually feeble.”

In recent years, the phenomena of flying saucer sighting and alien abduction accounts have been viewed more soberly as sociological human quirks rather than fuzzy science fake-news. Writer Jack Womack explained that his collection of UFO ephemera, and cheekily titled 2016 book Flying Saucers are Real! were an attempt to catalog the beliefs of those obsessed with outlandish accounts.

“I can study TB without catching it, preferably,” Womack explained. “And I can be a student of the Bible without being a Christian.” Womack’s work on cataloging writing about flying saucer obsessions in the 20th century is exhaustive. Recently, Inverse got back in touch with the author, to discuss this important Roswell anniversary. This led to an important and relevant insight: “Going by both research and empirical observation the number of UFO reports dropped off significantly in the early 21st century,” Womack said. He attributes this, at least partially, to the rise of camera phones.

Which makes sense. Arguably, the ‘80s and ‘90s were the peak of UFO interest in the United States. Proof? The vast majority of famous books published about UFOs and government cover-ups — most notably The Roswell Incident by Charles Berlitz and William Moore — were published in these two decades. And yet, once every regular citizen had a camera on them at all times in their phones, reports of UFO sightings suddenly dropped off. Did the aliens get camera-shy?

In 2012, Joe Nickell and James McGaha outlined their theory of “Roswellian Syndrome” for the Skeptical Inquirer. Nickell and McGaha echo William Gibson’s observation that flying saucer theories are meme-like, insofar as they will experience a media bandwagon period, as well as a period of not being so interesting to the mainstream. They also predict that a reboot of everyone you know suddenly believing in Roswell is coming, too.

Basically, because it hasn’t been hip to believe in abductions for awhile, this can cause these kinds of beliefs to come back with a vengeance. “During a period of submergence, the mythologizing tendency has been at work followed by a reemergence—rather like a new, more virulent strain of a virus.”

Nickell and McGaha point out that contemporary “UFOlogists are always looking for a Holy Grail case to verify their belief.” And the problem there is that Holy Grail could easily exist. If only those abducted by aliens would remember to get a clear image of saucer men captured on their iPhones.

Five Traits That Could Get You “Abducted by Aliens”

Professor Rich McNally and his colleagues at Harvard University have spent over 10 years researching the psychology of alien abductees, and in particular why it is that some people embrace the identity of “alien abductee.” His research has isolated a number of traits possessed by ‘alien abductees’ each of which he argues contributes to the experiences they recall when ‘being abducted’ and to the desire to cling on to their belief that aliens were responsible for their abduction experiences. Let’s look at each of these five traits in turn.

1. Regularly experiencing sleep paralysis and hallucinations when awakening:

Many people who have reported alien abduction suffer episodes of early morning sleep paralysis. On awakening from this paralysis, their terror gives rise to hallucinations of flashing lights and buzzing sounds. Some experience feelings of ‘floating’ around the room or seeing figures in the room. While many people interpret these post-sleep paralysis experiences as dreaming, some people interpret these experiences as seeing figures, ghosts, or aliens.

2. Tendency to Recall False Memories:

In an elegant set of experimental studies, McNally and colleagues found that individuals who claimed to have been abducted by aliens were prone to what is known as “false memory syndrome.” That is, alien abductees regularly claimed to recall words, items, sentences, etc. in memory tests that they had never actually seen before. If this “false memory” affect can be generalized to autobiographical memories, then individuals who claim to have been abducted by aliens would be twice as likely to “falsely remember” things that had never happened to them than would non-abductees.

3. High levels of “Absorption”:

Alien abductees also score significantly higher than most people on the mental characteristic known as ‘absorption.’ This is a trait related to fantasy proneness, vivid imagery, and susceptibility to hypnosis and suggestion. Because of this it is probably not surprising that many alien abductees recall their experiences under hypnosis, where memories of abduction can be induced through suggestibility—especially if the person leading the hypnosis session asks particularly leading questions about abduction.

4. New Age beliefs:

Being whisked up into space ships by tractor beams or light sources is not something that happens every day—nor is it something that is easily explainable within our existing knowledge of physics. Similarly, being subjected to imaginative medical procedures requires a tendency to accept unusual and non-mainstream ideas. This is also a trait possessed by ‘alien abductees.’ They score highly on measures of magical ideation and endorse New Age ideas that encompass beliefs about alternative medicines and healing, astrology, and fortune telling. Such beliefs would certainly allow the individual to accept things happening to them that would be dismissed by existing scientific knowledge.

5. A familiarity with the cultural narrative of alien abduction:

As a cultural phenomenon, alien abduction has entered folklore and the images and descriptions of aliens and their spacecraft have become familiar to many people. Alien abductees tend to be very familiar with this cultural narrative which is one possible reason why their descriptions of aliens and their spaceships are so similar—being fuelled as they are by sci-fi films and numerous books about aliens and alien abduction.

As Professor McNally points out in a very readable review of his studies on alien abduction, it is still unclear whether all these characteristics are necessary ingredients in the recipe for ‘alien abduction’ or whether some are more necessary than others. Other researchers have also identified further traits that appear to be characteristic of ‘alien abductees’, such as paranoid thinking and weak sexual identity. There is still much more research to do to fully understand the motivations and thinking patterns of individuals who claim to have been abducted by aliens, but as McNally shrewdly points out, these people are not anxious nor depressed, they are not psychotic and do not appear to have any obvious mental health problems. ‘Alien abduction’ experiences often deepen spiritual awareness and give shape to the identities of abductees and provide a basis for their beliefs about the world and the universe. Whether the experiences of abduction were real or not, the experiences and interpretations adopted by ‘alien abductees’ are often psychologically helpful and can be spiritually comforting.

Finally, a note of caution.

All of these studies of ‘alien abductees’ were carried out after they had their abduction ‘experiences’, so it’s difficult to know whether these five traits are consequences of the experience or were—as McNally suggests—factors that led individuals to interpret rather earthly experiences (such as sleep paralysis and hallucinations) as evidence of abduction. And then— perhaps fantastically—can we genuinely rule out the possibility that such traits are implanted in their victims by aliens in invasive medical procedures carried out on alien space ships! My skeptical, scientific mind says probably not—but who knows?!

The discovery is likely to ignite desert speculation among people who citizens who believe Antarctica is home to UFO bases and is concealing the remains of a lost civilisation.

Nevertheless, the scientists who found the structures were extended measured in their assessment of uncovering.

Conspiracy theorists conceive that there could be an elderly city hidden underneath the ice of Continent.

A team from the Université libre de Bruxelle in Belgique said the structures were support of “water conduits and Dregs ridges below the Antarctic ice episode”.

Essentially, this means thither is a large network of tunnels and strip frozen under the ice.

It’s believed these congenital formations contribute to the stability of the ice cap.

The mammoth landmasses “carve deep-seated incisions at the bottom of the ice”, forming “mark”.

These relatively small businessman are are the beginning of wider channels which develop in size “downstream” as the ice go closer to the sea.

In places where the ice is vagrant above the ocean, the thin ice is a “forceless spot when exposed to thaw from the warmer” bathe beneath.

If scientists understand the processes which design these channels, they may be strong to predict the effect climate exchange is having on ice caps.

However, this grave assessment is unlikely to silence the gibber of people who firmly believe Atlantis is skulking beneath the ice.

5 UFO Reports by Pilots and Astronauts That Will Have You Convinced

These UFO sightings are, perhaps, the most convincing because these witnesses are highly respected professionals whom we trust with our lives. These individuals have nothing to gain by putting their careers and reputations on the line reporting bizarre happenings in the skies.

More shocking is the sheer volume of these reported incidents that happen every year. Here’s a list of some of the more notable sightings of alien spacecraft by pilots and astronauts.

1. Astronaut Leroy Chiao Reported a UFO While on a Space Walk with the ISS

In 2005, astronaut Leroy Chiao, commander of the International Space Station, reported a UFO encounter during a space walk. He and a colleague were installing navigation antennas when something unusual caught Chiao’s eye. Below him in the Earth’s atmosphere he saw a line of lights that looked like “an upside-down question mark.”

One non-UFO explanation for Chiao’s sighting offered by skeptics is that Chiao simply saw the bright lights of a fishing boat hundreds of miles below him. Of course, those would have to be some pretty insanely powerful fishing lights to be seen all the way in outer space – and why Chiao didn’t see the lights of other boats all over the ocean has never been explained.

2. Two Turkish Pilots Saw a Mysterious Object – And So Did Citizens Below

Pilots from Turkish Airlines were flying from the Turkish resort town of Bodrum to the country’s largest city, Istanbul. Suddenly, a mysterious green light appeared over the plane. As the pilot later testified,“An unidentified object with green lights passed 2- to 3,000 feet above us. Then it disappeared all of a sudden. We are guessing that it was a UFO.”

The UFO was also reported to be seen around Istanbul’s Silivri district.

The General Directorate of State Airports Authority denied spotting any image that fitted the description of the pilot. Doubters claim that the pilots saw a green laser pointer that was reflecting off a cloud. However, it seems pretty hard to believe pilots would never have seen a laser pointer before – plus, that would have had to be a pretty huge laser pointer to create an effect such as they described.

For the record, pilots do not generally report fleeting flashes of light as UFOs.

3. Reports Claim UFOs Met Astronauts During the Moon Landing

According to unconfirmed reports, both Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin saw UFOs shortly after that historic landing on the moon in Apollo 11 on July 21, 1969. Viewers listening to the broadcast heard Armstrong refer to lights above a crater before his audio feed went dead for a few minutes.

According to former NASA employee Otto Binder, unnamed radio hams with their own VHF-receiving equipment (that bypassed NASA’s broadcasting) picked up the following exchange:

NASA: What’s there?

Apollo 11: These babies are huge, sir! Enormous!
OH MY GOD! You wouldn’t believe it!
I’m telling you there are other spacecraft out there,
Lined up on the far side of the crater edge!
They’re on the moon watching us!

Armstrong and Aldrin have denied the exchange took place, but other have insisted that off the record, the astronauts have admitted to many scientists that they did indeed see something.

4. Mercury Astronaut Slayton Tracked a Flying Saucer

Gordon Cooper wasn’t the only Mercury astronaut to report strange encounters. Deke Slayton revealed in an interview he had seen UFOs in 1951:

I was testing a P-51 fighter in Minneapolis when I spotted this object. I was at about 10,000 feet on a nice, bright, sunny afternoon. I thought the object was a kite, then I realized that no kite is gonna fly that high. As I got closer, it looked like a weather balloon, grey and about three feet in diameter. But as soon as I got behind the darn thing, it didn’t look like a balloon anymore. It looked like a saucer, a disk. About the same time, I realized that it was suddenly going away from me – and there I was, running at about 300 miles per hour. I tracked it for a little way, and then all of a sudden the damn thing just took off. It pulled about a 45-degree climbing turn and accelerated and just flat disappeared.

5. Pilots Reported a Flying Saucer Over Bariloche Airport During a Mysterious Blackout

In 1995, an Aerolineas Argentinas flight landing at Bariloche airport in Argentina reported that it was “buzzed” by a luminous disk moving in a way that defied the laws of physics. According to reports, the pilot was forced to take evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision. Strangely, at the same time, there was also a mysterious power shortage in Bariloche.

There was also a power outage at the airport. One Argentine newspaper reported the air traffic control personnel as saying, “The control instruments went crazy.”

The UFO was also seen by personnel on the ground, as well as the crew of a police plane flying 600 meters (2,000 ft) above.

NOBEL PRIZE WINNING CO-DISCOVERER OF DNA SAYS OUR GENES WERE BROUGHT HERE BY EXTRATERRESTRIALS

Francis Crick (8 June 1916 — 28 July 2004) was an English scientist who was most noted for being a co-discoverer of the structure of the DNA molecule in 1953 alongside James D. Watson.

Francis Crick Watson and Maurice Wilkins were jointly awarded the 1962 Nobel Prize for Physiology for Medicine “for their discoveries concerning the molecular structure of nucleic acids and its significance for information transfer in living material.”

He was clearly a brilliant scientist who unfortunately, like many other brilliant minds who came up with theories that challenged the accepted frameworks at the time, wasn’t given much ‘press.’

In his book published in 1982, Life Itself, he argues that there is no possible way that the DNA molecule could have gotten its start here on Earth and that it had to have come here from somewhere else. Within the mainstream scientific community, the generally accepted theory is that we are the result of a bunch of molecules accidentally bumping into each other, creating life. However, according to Francis, we are the result of what is now known as Directed Panspermia. Crick and a British chemist, Leslie Orgel, published their paper on it in July of 1973.

Their theory explains that, “organisms were deliberately transmitted to earth by intelligent beings on another planet. We conclude that it is possible that life reached the earth in this way, but that the scientific evidence is inadequate at the present time to say anything about the probability. We draw attention to the kinds of evidence that might throw additional light on the topic.”  (source)

As far as Crick’s thoughts on the theory that we are the result of accidentally  bumping into each other, he thinks this was as likely as the assembly of a jumbo jet hit by a hurricane in a junk yard. In other words, he thought the theory held little to no credibility.

When it comes to Crick’s theory, there have been some who expanded upon his work and have actually found evidence of it. Perhaps Crick had some evidence or he was able to connect some dots? After all, theories like this aren’t just born out of nowhere and this gentleman won the Nobel Prize for the study of DNA. Thoughts like this should not be taken lightly and evidence should be examined to see if it’s a plausible hypothesis.

Please keep in mind while reading this article that, although we’ve discovered much, we have yet to identify the biological functions of large portions of our DNA. There is so much mystery wrapped in what could possibly hold the answer to life itself and the origins of the human race.

A few years ago, Chandra Wickramasinghe, the Director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham in the U.K., published a paper regarding their supposed findings of the first-ever evidence of extraterrestrial life found in a celestial body.

At the time, Wickramasinghe pointed out to Huffington Post how, in 1962:

“Hoyle and I pioneered the theory of carbon grains in space to replace the old ice grain theory. This was vehemently resisted by the astronomical community at the outset, but with the dawn of infrared spectroscopy, the ice grain theory gave way to the carbon dust theory. Over a few years, after a great deal of model-fitting, we came to the conclusion that material similar to biomaterial fitted all the available data in astronomy. We considered the possibility that microbiology had a universal character, and no observations in astronomy or new information from biology has provided contrary evidence.If only ideas that are considered orthodox are given support through award of grans or publication opportunities, it is certain that the progress of science will be stifled as it was throughout the middle age.”

English Astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle and Wickramasinghe are considered co-developers of the panspermia theory. In another paper that Wickramasinghe co-authored in 2012 titled “Non-terrestrial origin of life: a transformative research paradigm shift,” he points out that, “For nearly five decades, evidence in favour of a non-terrestrial origin of life and panspermia has accumulated which has not been properly assessed. A point has now been reached that demands the serious attention of biologists to a possibly transformative paradigm shift of the question of the origin of life, with profounds implications across many disciplines.” (source)

It’s interesting to think about, isn’t it? We are indeed, as Author Graham Hancock noted, like species with amnesia. We still don’t completely know where we came from and how we got here.

What About The Fact That We Are Probably Not Alone & That We Are Probably Being Visited? 

“There is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for many years by people from outer space, from other civilizations. That it behooves us, in case some of these people in the future or now should turn hostile, to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation and not the subject of ‘rubbishing’ by tabloid newspapers.”  (source)

The quote above comes Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, the former Chief of the Defence Staff and 5 star Admiral of the Royal Navy. That’s the highest possible rank of the British Royal Navy, similar to General Dwight Eisenhower’s 5 star rank in the United States. He was also Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. These are definitely positions to be ‘in the know’ about what is going on, at least to some extent.

If you are unaware, there have been hundreds of witnesses carrying impressive backgrounds that have been in the position to ‘know’ about these things. To compliment this testimony, we also have evidence in the form of documents from several different government/military/intelligence agencies.

Personally, when I think of all of the evidence that’s surfaced within the past few years alone, it’s mind-altering. If you’re interested, you will have to do your own research. If you don’t, next time somebody brings up the subject, it’s good to keep an open mind and at least acknowledge that yes, this is actually a strong possibility.

Operation Paperclip: The Secret Intelligence Program to Bring Nazi Scientists to America

As World War II ended, the race was on with the Soviet Union to seize as many German scientists as possible in anticipation of the Cold War. The full story has remained elusive until now. Operation Paperclip, by Annie Jacobsen, provides perhaps the most comprehensive, up-to-date narrative available to the general public. Her book is a detailed and highly readable account of the program. Jacobsen compiled extensive primary and secondary sources, duly annotated in over 100 pages of notes and bibliography. In it are many new sources, among them US government records (President Clinton’s “Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act”), German archival records, first-person accounts, memoirs, and letters. The book also contains a useful index and biographies of the principal players.

Jacobsen offers a detailed chronology of events related to Operation Paperclip. Because of its scope and the introduction of so many characters, the narrative could have been improved if the author had focused on a shorter list than the 89 individuals profiled and maintained more topical continuity. Nevertheless, the book is a compelling work with interesting historical and personal revelations, for example:

• One of the most notorious cases of WMD proliferation occurred on 15 May 1945, when the German U-234 submarine, bound for Japan, was captured off Newfoundland by the USS Sutton. The U-boat carried Dr. Heinz Schlicke, Director of Naval Test Fields at Kiel, and the cargo included plans for the Hs293 glider bomb, V-1 glide bomb (forerunner to cruise missiles), V-2 rocket (forerunner to the SCUD missile), Me262 fighter aircraft (the first combat jet fighter), low observable submarine designs, and lead-lined boxes filled with 1,200 lbs. of uranium oxide, a key ingredient of atomic bombs. Schlicke, who claimed to be an electronic warfare expert, became a prisoner at Ft. Meade, MD.
• Sarin was produced at Dyhernfurth (Dyhernfurth later fell into Russian hands). Its name derives from the initials of its developers: Gerhard Schrader and Otto Ambros from the infamous IG Farben chemical company—maker of the killing gases used at concentration camps—and from the names of two German Army officers.
• Schrader tells the story of inventing “tabun,” a nerve agent named after the English word “taboo.”  The Germans called it 9/91 and, after their defeat at Stalingrad, seriously considered using it on the Russians.

Henry Wallace, former vice president and secretary of commerce, believed the scientists’ ideas could launch new civilian industries and produce jobs. Indeed, German scientists developed synthetic rubber (used in automobile tires), non-running hosiery, the ear thermometer, electromagnetic tape, and miniaturized electrical components, to name a few.

Werner von Braun is well known to those who remember the Apollo moon landing. During the Ford administration, von Braun was almost awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom—until one of Ford’s senior advisors, David Gergen, objected to his Nazi past.

Less well known is that another 120 fellow German scientists, engineers, and technicians developed the Saturn V launch vehicle, or that the Launch Operations Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida, was headed by Kurt Debus, an ardent Nazi. The Vertical Assembly Building—bigger in volume than the Pentagon and almost as tall as the Washington Monument—was designed by Bernhard Tessmann, former facilities designer at the German missile launch facility at Peenemuende.

Other prominent Nazis hired under Operation Paperclip included:

 against this capability if caught. He also aimed to explore the feasibility of creating a “Manchurian candidate” through behavioral modification. Thus, Operation Bluebird was born. Bluebird, later called MKULTRA, was a research activity experimenting in behavioral engineering of humans. The Nuremberg Code prohibits experimentation with humans without their consent. During this program, Dr. Frank Olson, a US Army biological weapons researcher, was given the drug LSD without his knowledge, leading to his death by leaping from a building. DCI Richard Helms ordered much of the documentation destroyed, and the circumstances of his demise remain controversial to this day.

Although she understandably questions the morality of the decision to hire Nazi SS scientists, Jacobsen balances her judgment with an understanding of the perceived threat of the Soviet Union under Stalin and the communists’ dialectical determination to prepare for total war with the West. The Soviets similarly captured and used German scientists for their own defense programs. That side of the story is not covered in this book.

Jacobsen provides insights on joint intelligence coordination and cooperation among US services and Allies; operational deconfliction; document and foreign materiel acquisition and exploitation; interrogation techniques; active tracking; production of foreign intelligence; surveillance and countersurveillance methods; and negotiating the sometimes conflicting objectives of the judiciary and the Intelligence Community (i.e., “hang them” vs. “hire them!”).

Atiny world that is battered by intense radiation and incredible heat, Mercury is one of the most inhospitable places in our solar system. Zinc would melt on its surface. Yet this scorched planet is set to play a crucial role in one of science’s most important quests: the search to find life on other worlds in our galaxy.

Astronomers believe that Mercury’s proximity to the Sun could provide them with crucial insights about the prospects of finding worlds that can support living organisms. And they hope these insights will be revealed by BepiColombo, a European-Japanese probe that was unveiled to the public last week at the European Space Agency’s research and technology centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

The 7-metre-long, 4-tonne spacecraft is one of the most complex space missions ever built and one of the most expensive. It cost €1.6bn (£1.4bn) to construct and is set for launch in October 2018, when it will begin a seven-year voyage to reach its target and begin its study of this mysterious world.

The importance of its task was underlined by Mark McCaughrean, the European Space Agency’s senior adviser for science and exploration. “We have detected planets – known as exoplanets – that are in orbit around other stars in our galaxy, and some have been found to lie in potentially habitable zones that we think are not too cold and not too hot to support life,” he said. “Crucially, however, most of these promising exoplanets are in orbits that take them very close to these very cool stars. In terms of heat, you could safely orbit close to a cool star, but there may be other dangers lurking there. And that is why Mercury is so important – it is much closer to the Sun than any other planet in the solar system. It should have very important lessons to teach us.”

Mercury’s proximity to the Sun – its orbit carries it, on average, about 57m kilometres from the Sun compared with Earth’s 149.6m – is a key issue, astronomers stress. Until they understand conditions that affect planets that orbit very close to stars, they cannot be sure about their potential to support life. In particular, other forms of radiation could still pose a problem for such planets – such as ultra-violet radiation.

This point was made by G Murakami, of the Japanese space agency Jaxa, which collaborated with European space engineers in the building of BepiColombo. “Ultra-violet radiation could be much stronger in these worlds and we need to study a planet in such circumstances, and Mercury fits the bill for that perfectly.”

The crucial point, McCaughrean said, is that scientists cannot be sure just how habitable an exoplanet is until they understand conditions on a world that orbits near a star. Hence the importance of Mercury. However, the little world – the most cratered planet in the solar system – offers other important goals for science.

Another mystery that astronomers hope to solve is the puzzle of Mercury’s magnetic field. It is the only planet in our solar system, other than Earth, that has one, though it is about 100 times weaker than ours. However, studies by the US probe Messenger – which orbited Mercury between 2011 and 2015 – discovered that this field is offset from the planet’s centre by about 500 kilometres, an astonishing amount for a little planet.

“In fact, most theories about the formation of our solar system suggest that a tiny world like Mercury should not have a magnetic field at all, so we are facing a real mystery,” said McCaughrean. “We cannot claim we understand how our solar system formed if we cannot explain why Mercury possesses such an anomaly. We have real theoretical issues to resolve, and hopefully BepiColombo will let us do that.”

In addition, BepiColombo will seek out regions, in high latitudes, where its predecessor Messenger found evidence of water ice inside the unlit walls of craters. Their existence is another of the puzzles that astronomers have uncovered on this little planet.

Designing and building a craft that can achieve these goals has not been easy. BepiColombo – named after the 20th-century Italian mathematician and engineer Giuseppe Colombo – is actually a twin spacecraft: a European planetary orbiter that will study the planet and a Japanese craft that will study the planet’s magnetic field. Both will be carried to their target by a propulsion module known as the Mercury transfer module.

The mission was approved in 2000 by the European Space Agency in collaboration with Jaxa. However, the complexities of flying a probe so close to the Sun forced design delays that raised costs from several hundred million euros to the probe’s current estimated price tag of about €1.6bn. It also triggered years of delay in building the satellite. Indeed, the project came close to termination when several member states, including Britain, urged that no extra funds be made available after costs over-ran to several hundred million euros. It took weeks of complex negotiations to save the project.

The main problem facing BepiColombo was that the mission’s principal orbiter has to be flown so that it hovers over the searing hot surface of Mercury while the Sun beams down on it. “Solar radiation is 10 times the level on Mercury than it is on Earth because the planet is so close to the Sun,” said Mauro Patroncini, of Thales Alenia Space Italia, which built much of the probe. “At the same time, Mercury’s surface is so hot – about 430C – that it generates a massive flux of infrared radiation and heat of its own.” Essentially the satellite will be grilled on both sides: the Sun on one and Mercury on the other.

“We thought we could deal with that with conventional techniques when we were designing the craft, but realised in 2006 that we would have to develop new technologies, including temperature-resistant coatings and insulated instruments, to stop the craft overheating violently,” said Patroncini. “That is what caused the delays and cost over-runs.”

The danger of overheating was endorsed by ESA project manager Ulrich Reininghaus, who also stressed the problems that lay ahead for the mission. “We’re flying into a pizza oven. We had to test materials at different, very high temperature regimes, sometimes with very unwanted results.” Hence the delays in launch.

Constructing a craft that can endure such hellish conditions has proven to be a gruelling business. There were tears of frustration over the delays, and a great deal of sweat was expended in redesigning a craft that has pushed engineers to the limit of their abilities, said McCaughrean. Then there was the construction race after all the delays.

“BepiColombo has sheets of tough insulating material that has had to be sown, by hand, into position in its sun shield and other parts,” he said. “A colleague went into the probe’s assembly area one morning and found blood spattered beside it. Another member of staff had stabbed themselves with a needle overnight as they stitched up the thermal blankets. So you could easily say that blood, sweat and tears were expended in getting this mission ready for launch.”

FANTASTIC VOYAGE

BepiColombo is a probe of many parts: a massive sunshade, a planetary orbiter, a second orbiter that will study the planet’s magnetic field, and a transfer vehicle that will carry these various components to Mercury after the mission’s launch on an Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, in October 2018.

The craft will weigh more than 4 tonnes, including 1.4 tonnes of propellant that will be used to power it on a complex journey round the solar system en route to Mercury. The trip will take seven years and will involve making one flyby of Earth, two of Venus and six of Mercury in order to position the craft when it reaches its destination in 2025 in a way that makes it easy to slip into orbit around the planet.

“We could fire BepiColombo straight at Mercury and it would get there in a few months, but we would have to use all our fuel decelerating to reach the planet at a reasonable speed,” said Mark McCaughrean, the ESA’s senior scientific adviser. “That is why we are taking the slow way.”

Once in orbit round Mercury, the transfer vehicle will release its two orbiters. The European craft will map Mercury while the Japanese craft will hover further from the planet and study its magnetic field. BepiColombo is designed to operate for one year, but with the option of running for a second. Privately ESA officials hope they will get up to three or four years out of the craft.

PROJECT SERPO – THE EXCHANGE PROGRAM BETWEEN HUMANS AND ALIENS

In 2005, an anonymous source sent a series of emails to a UFO Discussion Group led by former U.S. Government Employee Victor Martinez.

These emails detailed the existence of an Exchange Program between the U.S. Government and the Ebens – alien beings from Serpo, a planet from the Zeta Reticuli Star System. The program was thus called Project Serpo.

The source identified himself as a retired employee of the government, claiming he had participated in a special program.

The program’s origins lay with the two UFO crashes in New Mexico in 1947, the famous Roswell incident and another one in Corona.

He claimed one extraterrestrial survived the crash and was transferred to the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The other six deceased extraterrestrials were placed in a freezing facility in the same laboratory.

Establishing communications with the scientists and military personnel, the survivor provided them with the location of its home planet and continued to cooperate until its death in 1952.

The alien provided information regarding the items found inside the crashed UFOs. One of the items was a communication device that it was allowed to use, contacting its home planet.

A meeting was set for April 1964, when an alien craft landed near Alamogordo, New Mexico. Upon retrieving the bodies of their dead comrades, the extraterrestrials engaged in an information exchange that was carried out in English, thanks to the aliens’ translation device.

One thing led to another and in 1965, the aliens accepted to take a group of humans back to their planet as part of the exchange program.

Twelve military personnel were carefully selected for a ten year stay on Serpo. The ten men and two women were specialists in various fields and their task was to gather as much information as possible, regarding all aspects of life, society and technology on the alien planet.

They were three years late and four people short when they finally returned in 1978. Two men had died on the alien planet. One man and one woman had decided to stay. The journey to Serpo, located 37 light years from Earth, took only nine months aboard the alien craft.

They had learned that Serpo was a planet similar to our own, albeit smaller. It orbited around a binary star system and had an atmosphere similar in composition to the one on Earth.

However, the two suns meant there were higher levels of radiation and the twelve humans had to resort to protection at all times. Two of them died from complications. The heat was extreme and it took the remaining humans several years to adjust.

Another problem was the food. The crew had taken enough food to last them for two and a half years but eventually had to resort to eating native Eben food. Anyone who’s traveled abroad knows about the serious gastrointestinal implications posed by eating local food but the human crew eventually adjusted.

Another problem was the length of the day on Serpo, which was 43 Earth hours long. Also, it never got fully dark as their night skies were dimly lit by the smaller sun. The crew had complete freedom to explore the alien planet and they were not hindered in any way.

The geology of the alien world was different; there were few mountains and no oceans. Several types of plant-like life existed but mostly near the polar area, where it was cooler.

There were also types of animal life and some of the larger ones were used by the Ebens for work and other tasks but never as food sources. They produced their food through industrial processes, of which they had many.

The inhabitants of Serpo lived in small communities led by a large city. They lacked a central government but seemed to be doing fine without it.

The Ebens had leadership and an army but the Earth team noticed they never used weapons of any type and violence was virtually unheard of. They had no concept of money or commerce. Every Eben was issued items in accordance with their needs.

The planet’s population was about 650,000 individuals. The human crew noted the Ebens were disciplined in all aspects of their lives, working on schedules based on the movements of their suns. There were no other civilizations on Serpo except the Ebens.

Their method of reproduction was similar to our own but it had a much lower success rate. Therefore, their children were highly isolated.

In fact, the only problem the human crew had was when they intended to photograph Eben children. They were escorted away by the army and asked not to attempt that again.

Upon returning to Earth, the remaining eight members of the expedition were quarantined for a year. During this period, they were debriefed and the complete account amassed around 3,000 pages.

All members of the expedition have since died from various complications due to radiation exposure. The fate of the two people who chose to remain on Serpo is unknown. The Ebens have not contacted Earth since 1985.
