Last week, my friend and I were mountain biking in the Cockaponset State Forest. I think it’s in Middletown. We were riding for a couple of hours and were close to the Connecticut River and not far from the power plant (I think). Its hard to tell on the trail. It was getting dark and we were taking a short break before heading back to our cars. At first I didn’t even notice these things until my friend pointed them out. They were dark oblong shapes with some lights. Nothing bright and we didn’t hear any noise. They didn’t move for several minutes so I was able to take a few pictures.

When they left they just floated away slowly. I’m only sending one because two of them didn’t come out, the digital camera doesn’t work well without much light and one of them you can see my friend. I didn’t send that one, because even though everyone rides out here we all know we shouldn’t be and I don’t want to get in trouble for trespassing.

They could be helicopters or maybe a blimp of some kind, but I thought I would forward this to you for a better explanation.

Oldest surviving light reveals the universe's true age

Here's the problem: Physicists need to understand the universe's expansion rate to make any sense of cosmology — the science of our whole universe's past, present and future. They know that a mysterious substance called dark energy is causing the universe to expand (at an ever-increasing rate) in all directions.. But when astronomers point their telescopes into space to measure the Hubble constant (H0) — the number that describes how fast the universe is expanding at different distances from us or another point — they come up with numbers that disagree with each other, depending on the method they use.

One method, based on measurements of how fast nearby galaxies are moving away from the Milky Way, produces one H0. Another method, based on studying the oldest light in space, or cosmic microwave background (CMB), produces another H0. This disagreement has left scientists wondering whether there's some important blind spot in their measurements or theories, as Live Science previously reported. These new results seem to show that there weren't any measurement errors on the CMB side.

"We find an expansion rate that is right on the estimate by the Planck satellite team," which is another study of the CMB, Cornell University astrophysicist Steve Choi, lead author of one of two new papers, said in a statement. "This gives us more confidence in measurements of the universe's oldest light."

Aztec palace's remains uncovered off Mexico City's main Zócalo plaza

The remains of an ancient Aztec palace have been discovered under a stately building in Mexico City.

During renovations at the building off the capital's central Zócalo plaza, workers found basalt slab floors.

The floors were part of an open space in the palace of Aztec ruler Axayácatl, Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) said.

The palace was also used as the home of Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés after the fall of the Aztec empire.

Excavators have found evidence of the home Cortés had at the palace site.

Archaeologists say it is likely to have reused materials from Axayácatl's palace - which, like other sacred Aztec buildings, was razed by the Spanish conquistadors.

Axayácatl reigned between 1469 and 1481 and was the father of Montezuma, one of the empire's last rulers.

"Below the subflooring of the house of Cortés, more than three metres deep, the remains of another floor of basalt slabs, but from pre-Hispanic times, were detected," INAH said.

"Given its characteristics, the specialists deduced that it was part of an open space in the former palace of Axayácatl, probably a courtyard."

Cortés arrived in what is now Mexico in 1518 as commander of a mission to explore the region - rumoured among Europeans to hold great wealth - for Spanish colonisation.

He and his men laid siege to the Aztec capital Tenochtitlán in 1521. When the city surrendered, the Spanish colonisers destroyed it.

The building which stands on the site now - the Nacional Monte de Piedad - is a historic pawnshop that was built in 1755.

Weather forecasters are warning that this hurricane season is off to a bad start and will likely get worse. That’s bad news for Mexican towns up and down the Gulf coast – but not the cities of Ciudad Madero and Tampico in the state of Tamaulipas. Well, not anymore. Ciudad Madero had been hit hard in the 20th century by multiple hurricanes (Hurricane Hilda in 1955 was one), culminating with Hurricane Inez in 1966 which, after causing massive destruction in Haiti and Cuba, made final landfall in Tamaulipas, leaving 84,000 people homeless and causing at least 84 deaths. And then … something else arrived.

“On the cover of our newspaper on Monday, August 7, 1967, 50 years ago, an unprecedented event occurred on the night of Sunday 6. Several people from Tampico and Ciudad Madero had seen a UFO fleet that crossed the sky of the region from southwest to northeast, to get lost offshore, just in the direction where they say their base is.

They were the first sightings, even documented by the control tower of the local airport, which in the controller José Castillo’s log of novelties recorded: “Nine unidentified flying objects were seen. El Sol de Tampico retold story of the arrival of the UFOs on the 50th anniversary of the event. Other witnesses included a pilot and a refinery worker, who continued to see the UFOs for three months. With the prediction of a bad hurricane season, The Guardian recently posted an interview with Juan Carlos Ramón López Díaz, president of the Association of Scientific UFO Research of Tamaulipas (AICOT), who revealed that he’s way ahead of them – he visited the base, which he calls Amupac, via astral projection and everything is going be OK. In fact, the aliens assured him that they’re not needed anymore – the power in now in the hands of the humans.

“The collective mind is charged with this concept, so it generates a large force field of repulsion.”

The “collective mind” is the believers in the aliens in AICOT, Tampico and beyond, whose minds can now repulse hurricanes themselves. That seemed to satisfy López Díaz.

With a Category 5 hurricane blowing 150 mph winds bearing down on you, would you rather be protected by the mindpower of your goofy neighbors or aliens who have been protecting you for over 50 years and have the technology to travel through space and live underwater?

According to a new study, researchers from the German Aerospace Center discovered that our moon is 85 million years younger than previously thought. A Mars-size protoplanet collided with an infant Earth billions of years ago and the debris eventually came together to form our moon. While previous studies have indicated that this occurred 4.51 billion years ago, the new analysis states that our moon was born 4.425 billion years ago – 85 million years later.

First, let’s talk about other recent news that ties in with this current story. Just recently, scientists revealed that the moon’s magma ocean lasted for about 200 million years – much longer than previously thought. “An important outcome of this scenario is that the early moon, which accreted from the debris of this giant impact, was very hot — hot enough for its rocky mantle to be largely molten and form what we call a magma ocean,” Maxime Maurice, who is a planetary scientist at the German Aerospace Center in Berlin as well as the lead author of the study, explained to Space.com.

Our moon had a magma ocean that lasted around 200 million years.

“While the idea of a primordial magma ocean on the moon is largely accepted, the time it took to solidify was not very clear,” Maurice said, adding, “Previous models suggested it was fairly rapid — some tens of millions of years.” However, according to their analysis, the moon’s magma ocean may have solidified over 150 million to 200 million years – ten times longer than previously believed.

Now, getting back to this current story on the moon’s age, researchers used mathematical models to calculate how long it took the magma to solidify and change throughout the years. Sabrina Schwinger, who is a researcher at the German Aerospace Center as well as a co-author of the study, explained this further, “By comparing the measured composition of the moon’s rocks with the predicted composition of the magma ocean from our model, we were able to trace the evolution of the ocean back to its starting point, the time at which the moon was formed.”

This new research also matches previous analysis that indicated that the formation of the moon coincided with the formation of Earth’s metallic core. This is certainly a significant and important discovery, as Thorsten Kleine, who is a professor at the Institute of Planetology at the University of Münster in Germany, stated, “This is the first time that the age of the moon can be directly linked to an event that occurred at the very end of the Earth’s formation, namely the formation of the core.”

“We will analyze these unique rocks from under hundreds of meters of ice, examining multiple isotopes called cosmogenic nuclides to yield observations of historic ice sheet change,” Schaefer says. “This research might move the needle in what we know about ice sheet stability, and sea level science. We are carefully optimistic that our work will help usher in a new era of Greenland Ice Sheet and sea level rise predictions, based on much more robust and calibrated ice sheet models.”

The mysteries of Nan Madol, the Reef of Heaven

The Reef of Heaven – Nan Madol

Nan Madol is the only known ancient city ever built on top of a coral reef. The unique site is located in the Federated States of Micronesia. (see map below) Pedro Fernandes de Quiros, of Portugal, was the first European to set foot on the island and see the ruins of Nan Madol in 1595.

Construction is thought to have started 1,500 years ago and the Saudeleur people built 92 islands in the water next to Pohnpei. The site core with its stone walls encloses an area approximately 1.5 km long by 0.5 km wide and it contains nearly 100 artificial islets—stone and coral fill platforms—bordered by tidal canals. The name Nan Madol means “spaces between” and is a reference to the canals that crisscross the ruins.

Reef of Heaven

The original name was Soun Nan-leng (Reef of Heaven), according to Gene Ashby in his book Pohnpei, An Island Argosy. These incredible structures truly represent ancient man’s creativity, intelligence and it is a feat – akin to the building of the pyramids in Eygpt. Until today, researchers and archaeologists have observed these megalithic constructions and asked themselves, how was this built.

What is even more puzzling is the fact that researchers have yet not identified the origin of some of the stones used in the construction of Nan Madol, adding to the mystery of this incredible complex of incredible structures – unknown to most of us.

Carbon dating indicates that the construction of Nan Madol began around 1200 CE, while excavations show that the area may have been occupied as early as 200 BCE.

There are many theories present as tho who built these structures. In his book, Lost City of Stones (1978) writer Bill S. Ballinger theorizes the city was built by Greek sailors c.300 BCE. On the other hand, David Hatcher Childress, an author of travel guides, speculates that Nan Madol is connected to the lost continent of Lemuria.

Unexplained construction

Rufino Mauricio, Pohnpei’s only archaeologist, has dedicated his life to studying and preserving the ruins, which are built of 750,000 tons of black basaltic rock.

“We don’t know how they brought the columns here and we don’t know how they lifted them up to build the walls. Most Pohnpeians are content to believe they used magic to fly them,” -Rufino Mauricio

“Nan Madol is one of the most significant sites not yet on the World Heritage List,” says Richard Engelhart, an archaeologist and former UNESCO adviser for Asia and the Pacific.

But what makes these structures even more incredible is that given the size of Pohnpei’s population at the time — fewer than 30,000 people — the construction of Nan Madol is an even larger and more remarkable effort than the Great Pyramids were for the ancient Egyptians.

The even bigger mystery is how did the builders of Nan Madol manage to transport the stones from the identified quarries to the construction site? And why would the constructors even bother transporting these incredible stones in the first place, (Oh, and by the way, these stones range in weight from five to ten tons) when they could have found a construction site that was closer to the quarries?

It truly is a mystery.

Nan Madol represents the remains of megalithic architecture in the region, it has left archaeologists baffled by the arraignment and quality of the stones and it truly is a mysterious but yet beautiful place on Earth.

What was the real purpose of this megalithic site located in Micronesia? That is one question that still needs an answer.

And the greater question: is it true? And the ultimate question: if it is, will Trump use it to his advantage against … OK, that’s too big to wrap our heads around. Let’s start with the source of this rumor.

“I have mentioned this in the past. It was brought up again recently after Trump commented on Roswell. POTUS ‘Roswell Briefings’ are basically this: Roswell was NOT an Alien event. It was a mishap from US in the future. POTUS is told that the MAJORITY of the lights seen in the sky are from our own craft operating in the future and creating a temporal butterfly effect. They are told that what the ancients saw in the sky was often the exact same phenomeno

POTUS is under the impression that because of tests being run in Roswell during the same time that future craft were operating in that Space at a later time… that it caused the craft to pull into the past and crash thus beginning the new tech boom after WWII.”

That statement was written by Corey Goode to Michael Salla and published in ExoNews. Goode is the controversial Secret Space Program Service guy, self-proclaimed intuitive empath, alleged ET communicator, IT guru and leaker of alleged government documents on space travel and aliens. Salla is the Founder of the Exopolitics Institute and ExoNews and is dedicated to helping Goode and others get this kind of information out to the public. That is where Goode’s latest alleged leak was revealed.

“We are told that some of these people from the future are working directly with elements of current era deep black intel agencies. They have portals in these locations that they do point to point transfers of people and supplies from.

Very interesting stuff… and I can see how POTUS would buy this over little green men. Especially with his history with his uncle who worked on the Tesla papers.”

At this point, the correspondence to Salla from Goode sounds more like a campaign ad – the president frequently brags about his genius uncle John G. Trump who was called in by the FBI to review the papers and equipment of Nikolas Tesla after his death in 1943. Uncle John might also have been interested in Goode’s revelation on how the time travel worked.

“There are Quantum Computers that are used for this communication and it operates in ‘reciprocal dimensions’ where time flows in different directions and at different rates. Data is transmitted in these alternate dimensions.

There is a major time war going on between humans from 2 timelines. One is more of the ‘Wing Maker’ type of future where AI controls a very small population on Earth. There is another group fighting to preserve the timeline by stopping the manipulation of timelines so that they all collapse into the proper one (per ET / Anshar Guidance).”

(Note: the Anshar are believed by some to be a race of humans from the future.)

Goode tells Salla he thinks the future humans intentionally crashed at Roswell so 1947 humans could get their technology through reverse engineering. One wonders if these future humans care so much about us, why didn’t they just give the technology to us – but perhaps that’s what’s being covered up by the “Deep State” which Goode predictably brings up as the force withholding disclosure. He thinks this technology is now being used by the Space Force (what took so long?) and more tech-oriented revelations will be forthcoming. Salla hints that more of Goode’s latest leak will be forthcoming from him as well.

What can we make of this revelation by ExoNews and Michael Salla of these seemingly unbelievable claims by Corey Goode? Salla offers no proof except a record of his conversation with Goode, and Goode offers even less. His various claims have been questioned by scientists and skeptics looking for any kind of proof of his outrageous claims – which are creatively entertaining and intriguing enough to elicit him a legion of followers. As we painfully know from past experiences, followers does not mean facts.

If only President Trump would reveal more about what he claims he’s been briefed on. Perhaps as his poll numbers continue to drop …

“This seems to be the first time we’ve ever seen a corona first of all disappear, but then also rebuild itself, and we’re watching this in real-time,” Kara says. “This will be really important to understanding how a black hole’s corona is heated and powered in the first place.”

Kara and her co-authors, including lead author Claudio Ricci of Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile, have published their findings today in Astrophysical Journal Letters. Co-authors from MIT include Ron Remillard, and Dheeraj Pasham.

A nimble washing machine

In March 2018, an unexpected burst lit up the view of ASSASN, the All-Sky Automated Survey for Super-Novae, that surveys the entire night sky for supernova activity. The survey recorded a flash from 1ES 1927+654, an active galactic nucleus, or AGN, that is a type of supermassive black hole with higher-than-normal brightness at the center of a galaxy. ASSASN observed that the object’s brightness jumped to about 40 times its normal luminosity.

“This was an AGN that we sort of knew about, but it wasn’t very special,” Kara says. “Then they noticed that this run-of-the-mill AGN became suddenly bright, which got our attention, and we started pointing lots of other telescopes in lots of other wavelengths to look at it.”

The team used multiple telescopes to observe the black hole in the X-ray, optical, and ultraviolet wave bands. Most of these telescopes were pointed at the the black hole periodically, for example recording observations for an entire day, every six months. The team also watched the black hole daily with NASA’s NICER, a much smaller X-ray telescope, that is installed aboard the International Space Station, with detectors developed and built by researchers at MIT.

“NICER is great because it’s so nimble,” Kara says. “It’s this little washing machine bouncing around the ISS, and it can collect a ton of X-ray photons. Every day, NICER could take a quick little look at this AGN, then go off and do something else.”

With frequent observations, the researchers were able to catch the black hole as it precipitously dropped in brightness, in virtually all the wave bands they measured, and especially in the high-energy X-ray band — an observation that signaled that the black hole’s corona had completely and suddenly vaporized.

“After ASSASN saw it go through this huge crazy outburst, we watched as the corona disappeared,” Kara recalls. “It became undetectable, which we have never seen before.”

A jolting flash

Physicists are unsure exactly what causes a corona to form, but they believe it has something to do with the configuration of magnetic field lines that run through a black hole’s accretion disk. At the outer regions of a black hole’s swirling disk of material, magnetic field lines are more or less in a straightforward configuration. Closer in, and especially near the event horizon, material circles with more energy, in a way that may cause magnetic field lines to twist and break, then reconnect. This tangle of magnetic energy could spin up particles swirling close to the black hole, to the level of high-energy X-rays, forming the crown-like corona that encircles the black hole.

Kara and her colleagues believe that if a wayward star was indeed the culprit in the corona’s disappearance, it would have first been shredded apart by the black hole’s gravitational pull, scattering stellar debris across the accretion disk. This may have caused the temporary flash in brightness that ASSASN captured. This “tidal disruption,” as astronomers call such a jolting event, would have triggered much of the material in the disk to suddenly fall into the black hole. It also might have thrown the disk’s magnetic field lines out of whack in a way that it could no longer generate and support a high-energy corona.

This last point is a potentially important one for understanding how coronas first form. Depending on the mass of a black hole, there is a certain radius within which a star will most certainly be pulled in by a black hole’s gravity.

“What that tells us is that, if all the action is happening within that tidal disruption radius, that means the magnetic field configuration that’s supporting the corona must be within that radius,” Kara says. “Which means that, for any normal corona, the magnetic fields within that radius are what’s responsible for creating a corona.”

The researchers calculated that if a star indeed was the cause of the black hole’s missing corona, and if a corona were to form in a supermassive black hole of similar size, it would do so within a radius of about 4 light minutes — a distance that roughly translates to about 75 million kilometers from the black hole’s center.

“With the caveat that this event happened from a stellar tidal disruption, this would be some of the strictest constraints we have on where the corona must exist,” Kara says.

The corona has since reformed, lighting up in high-energy X-rays which the team was also able to observe. It’s not as bright as it once was, but the researchers are continuing to monitor it, though less frequently, to see what more this system has in store.

“We want to keep an eye on it,” Kara says. “It’s still in this unusual high-flux state, and maybe it’ll do something crazy again, so we don’t want to miss that.”

This just came into my email today. Luke sent this in and found a UFO using Google Earth Map online version. The UFO looks like a fat disk, thicker in the upper and lower middle. The object is metallic in color and has no wings and nothing to indicate that it might be a balloon, drone, plane or anything. The object is in extraordinary focus and the air around it seems to be warped as if its propulsion system is altering the air temperature or static.

On July 16, 2020 Biran Owens from Queensland, Australia captured something extraordinary in the sky which can best be described as a heavenly light being, a Merkaba.

Merkabah, also spelled Merkaba, (Mer" means Light. "Ka" means Spirit. "Ba" means Body) means the spirit/body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, spirals of energy as in DNA, which transports spirit/body from one dimension to another.

Evidence found of epic prehistoric Pacific voyages

New evidence has been found for epic prehistoric voyages between the Americas and eastern Polynesia.

DNA analysis suggests there was mixing between Native Americans and Polynesians around AD 1200.

The extent of potential contacts between the regions has been a hotly contested area for decades.

In 1947, Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl made a journey by raft from South America to Polynesia to demonstrate the voyage was possible.

Until now, proponents of Native American and Polynesian interaction reasoned that some common cultural elements, such as a similar word used for a common crop, hinted that the two populations had mingled before Europeans settled in South America.

Opponents pointed to studies with differing conclusions and the fact that the two groups were separated by thousands of kilometres of open ocean.

Alexander Ioannidis from Stanford University in California and his international colleagues analysed genetic data from more than 800 living indigenous inhabitants of coastal South America and French Polynesia.

They were looking for snippets of DNA that are characteristic of each population and for segments that are "identical by descent" - meaning they are inherited from the same ancestor many generations ago.

"We found identical-by-descent segments of Native American ancestry across several Polynesian islands," said Mr Ioannidis.

"It was conclusive evidence that there was a single shared contact event."

In other words, Polynesians and Native Americans met at one point in history, and during that time children with both Native American and Polynesian ancestry were born.

Statistical analyses confirmed the event occurred around AD 1200, at about the time Pacific islands were originally being settled by Polynesians.

Asked who he thought made contact first, Mr Ioannidis ventured that it may have been Polynesian navigators reaching South America.

"Because the timing is exactly at the time that the Polynesians were embarking on their longest voyages of discovery and soon after they discovered Easter Island, which is extremely remote, and also later settling New Zealand and Hawaii, they had no idea there was going to be a continent eventually and they were going to run out of islands, so I think they probably did find a continent," he said.

"They would sail upwind when they were trying to discover new islands, the anthropologists I believe say this, because if they didn't find an island they could return home - that way, they could return home swiftly. They were sailing across 1,000km of open ocean here."

The team were also able to localise the source of the Native American DNA to indigenous groups in modern-day Colombia.

Previous studies of the genomes (the full complement of DNA in the nuclei of human cells) of people from these regions have focused around contact on Easter Island - famous for its giant stone faces - because it is the closest inhabited Polynesian island to South America.

However, the study in Nature journal supports the idea that first contact occurred on one of the archipelagos of eastern Polynesia - as proposed by Heyerdahl.

Wind and current simulations have shown that drift voyages departing from Ecuador and Colombia are the most likely to reach Polynesia, and that they arrive with the highest probability in the South Marquesas islands, followed by the Tuamotu Archipelago.

Both of these archipelagos lie at the heart of the region of islands where the researchers found an ancestral genetic component from Colombian Native Americans.

Previously, researchers had noted superficial similarities between monolithic statues in Polynesia and others found in South America.

But other evidence comes from a correspondence between the word for sweet potato (a crop that originated in South America), which is "kumala" in Polynesia and "cumal" in, for example, the language used by the Cañari people of Ecuador.

Heyerdahl embarked on his "Kon-Tiki" raft expedition from Callao, Peru, on 28 April 1947 with five companions. They sailed on the raft for 101 days, traversing 6,900km (4,300 miles) of ocean before smashing into a reef at Raroia in the Tuamotus on 7 August 1947.

Partial supernova sends a white dwarf barrelling through space

Why not start with a bang, eh?

Researchers at the University of Warwick report finding a white dwarf barreling through space at great speed. The source, they say, was likey a “partial supernova” which ejected the core of the star.

Sitting at about 40% the mass of our sun, white dwarf SDSS J1240+6710 is much smaller, and denser. Data from the Hubble telescope allowed researchers to confirm that its atmosphere is an unusual mix of gases.

A peculiar star

“There is a clear absence of what is known as the ‘iron group’ of elements, iron, nickel, chromium and manganese,” explains a statement from the University of Warwick.

“These heavier elements are normally cooked up from the lighter ones and make up the defining features of thermonuclear supernovae.”

White dwarfs are born when a star completely consumes its fuel. Most of its mass blows away to form a nebula, leaving behind a white-hot core. They usually have atmospheres consisting of hydrogen or helium, the researchers add, with traces of carbon and oxygen produced as the star grew old.

This particular one, however, was made from oxygen, neon, magnesium and silicon. Furthermore, the lack of elements in the iron group points to it undergoing a “partial supernova” before it died. Heavier elements are formed by light atoms being pushed together in stars as they explode.

Its speed — this solar remnant is travelling at around 559,234 mph — would indicate that it was thrown out in the event.

“This star is unique because it has all the key features of a white dwarf but it has this very high velocity and unusual abundances that make no sense when combined with its low mass,” says Professor Boris Gaensicke from the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick, lead author of the paper.

“It has a chemical composition which is the fingerprint of nuclear burning, a low mass and a very high velocity: all of these facts imply that it must have come from some kind of close binary system and it must have undergone thermonuclear ignition.”

The paper “SDSS J124043.01+671034.68: the partially burned remnant of a low-mass white dwarf that underwent thermonuclear ignition?” has been published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

There’s no doubt at all that one of the most disturbing mysteries in the field of the “unexplained” is that of what have become known as cattle mutilations. Reports of poor farm animals attacked, killed, and dissected date back to the 1960s. Who or what is the culprit very much depends on whose theories you adhere to. For some, the mutes are the work of occultists. Others say it’s all down to government agencies secretly looking for dangerous and deadly viruses in the food-chain. And, there’s the scenario of the culprits being nothing less than extraterrestrial in nature. The mystery still remains. With that said, today I’m going to share with you two of the strangest cases of all time. In 1976, there was a wave of both cattle and horse mutilations in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. They were carefully investigated and documented by Police Officer Gabe Valdez of Espanola. Officer Valdez soon found himself at the heart of the sickening puzzle.

One of the most bizarre events occurred in June 1976, as Valdez’s files demonstrate. Valdez said in his papers: “Investigations around the area revealed that a suspected aircraft of some type had landed twice, leaving three pod marks positioned in a triangular shape. The diameter of each pod was 14 inches. Emanating from the two landings were smaller triangular shaped tripods 28 inches and 4 inches in diameter. Investigation at the scene showed that these small tripods had followed the cow for approximately 600 feet. Tracks of the cow showed where she had struggled and fallen. The small tripod tracks were all around the cow. Other evidence showed that grass around the tripods, as they followed the cow, had been scorched. Also a yellow oily substance was located in two places under the small tripods. This substance was submitted to the State Police Lab. The Lab was unable to detect the content of the substance. A sample of the substance was submitted to a private lab and they were unable to analyze the substance due to the fact that it disappeared or disintegrated. Skin samples were analyzed by the State Police Lab and the Medical Examiner’s Office. It was reported that the skin had been cut with a sharp instrument.”

Three days later, Valdez had a face-to-face discussion about all of this with Dr. Howard Burgess, of the New Mexico-based Sandia Laboratories. The plan was to have the immediate vicinity checked for radiation. Valdez’s plan was a good one. It turned out that the radiation level in the location was no less than twice above normal. Valdez’s thoughts on the matter: “It is the opinion of this writer that radiation findings are deliberately being left at the scene to confuse investigators.” Matters were nowhere near finished. Valdez’s files make that abundantly obvious: “There was also evidence that the tripod marks had returned and removed the left ear. Tripod marks were found over Mr. Gomez’s tire tracks of his original visit. The left ear was intact when Mr. Gomez first found the cow. The cow had a 3-month-old calf which has not been located since the incident. This appears strange since a small calf normally stays around the mother even though the cow is dead.” Without a doubt, a grisly and disturbing situation.

As to the matters of Satanic groups and the likes of coyotes being responsible, Valdez recorded: “Both have been ruled out due to expertise and preciseness and the cost involved to conduct such a sophisticated and secretive operation. It should also be noted that during the spring of 1974 when a tremendous amount of cattle were lost due to heavy snowfalls, the carcasses had been eaten by predators. These carcasses did not resemble the carcasses of the mutilated cows. Investigation has narrowed down to these theories which involve (1) Experimental use of Vitamin B12 and (2) The testing of the lymph node system. During this investigation an intensive study has been made of (3) What is involved in germ warfare testing, and the possible correlation of these 3 factors (germ warfare testing, use of Vitamin B12, testing of the lymph node system).”

Another, equally unsettling, case surfaced in the same area in 1978. Officer Valdez recorded it all: “This four year old cross Hereford and Black Angus native cow was found lying on left side with rectum, sex organs, tongue, and ears removed. Pinkish blood from [illegible] was visible, and after two days the blood still had not coagulated. Left front and left rear leg were pulled out of their sockets apparently from the weight of the cow which indicates that it was lifted and dropped back to the ground. The ground around and under the cow was soft and showed indentations where the cow had been dropped. 600 yards away from the cow were the 4-inch circular indentations similar to the ones found at the Manuel Gomez ranch on 4-24-78. This cow had been dead approximately [illegible] hours and was too decomposed to extract samples. This is the first in a series of mutilations in which the cows’ legs are broken. Previously the animals had been lifted from the brisket with a strap. These mutilated animals all dehydrate rapidly (in one or two days).”

The mystery surrounding those 1970s-era cases was never solved. Today – thankfully – cattle mutilations are nowhere as prevalent as they were in the 1970s. This is one of those mysteries that all of us should hope goes away for good.

A “potentially hazardous” asteroid will pass between the Earth and the Moon on September 1, 2020. This same asteroid is scheduled to come back in 2055 with a much higher probability of impact. Why aren’t we using this well-defined, close proximity space rock to practice our asteroid-deflecting strategies on? Are those strategies all bluff and bluster by the powers that be to hide the real purpose of these programs?

“In highly alarming news from NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), asteroid hunters have identified a ‘potentially hazardous’ asteroid due to pass Earth in September at a paltry distance of 71,805km – just one-fifth of the distance between us and the Moon (384,399km). Asteroid 2011 ES4, which measures 160ft (49 meters), is expected to buzz the Earth at 29,375kph on September 1 at 10:49am EDT (3:49pm BST).”

Let’s see. This is mid-July 2020 (very close to the 51st anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon – more on that connection in a minute) and asteroid 2011 ES4 is scheduled to fly by in about six weeks. It took the Apollo 11 astronauts three days to get to the Moon. At one-fifth that distance, it would take a rocket or a missile traveling at 1969 speed about 14 hours to reach that distance. NASA and CNEOS has been tracking this asteroid since 2011, so it’s not one of these surprise space rocks that appear suddenly as they a) graze the atmosphere in a spectacular light show; b) plunge harmlessly into an ocean; or c) come close to killing thousands in Siberia. While media sites like RT.com are exposing this low potential hazard, Space Force and NASA’s asteroid deflection department are not. Sure, it’s not an impact danger this time around and it’s not huge (ironicially, about the size of the U.S. Capitol building), it seems like it would be a great target for deflection practice.

“2011 ES4 can be reached with a journey of 370 days. This trajectory would require a delta-v of 8.283 km/s. To put this into perspective, the delta-v to launch a rocket to Low-Earth Orbit is 9.7 km/s. There are 16,915 potential trajectories and launch windows to this asteroid.”

Sigh. SpaceReference.org compiles data from the NASA/JPL Small Body Database, the IAU Minor Planet Center, and the NASA/JPL Center for Near Earth Object Studies. Obviously, that 370-day journey is a planned trip like the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission scheduled to impact a 180-meter (590 ft) asteroidal moon of Asteroid 65803 Didymos in 2022. With 2011 ES4, we’re talking about testing our emergency asteroid deflection capability – and this isn’t even an emergency situation because we’ve been tracking its paths since 2011. However, the current responses to the pandemic highlight the importance of practicing for emergencies. Why not use 2011 to practice impacting and deflecting or destroying an asteroid with a non-nuclear missile? Wouldn’t Elon Musk like to draw attention away from his other problems and volunteer a rocket for such an important mission?

We would have appreciated a deflection.

“We have the capability — physically, technically — to protect the Earth from asteroid impacts. We are now able to very slightly and subtly reshape the solar system in order to enhance human survival.”

Former astronaut Rusty Schweickart, co-founder and Chair Emeritus of the B612 Foundation, a private nonprofit foundation of scientists, engineers and former astronauts dedicated to planetary science and planetary defense against asteroids and other near-Earth object impacts, said that in 2011 – the year 2011 ES4 was discovered. We’ve had the expertise at least since 2011 to do a dry run on 2011 ES4 as it passes less than one-fifth the distance of the Moon.

Why aren’t we trying it?

Some of the most infamous UFO sightings in history are the ones that have been made by beloved public figures or famous people. These are the ones that truly resonate with us, and stir a sense of awe within us, no matter how believable they may be. Certainly one of the most sensational of these was the time the U.S. president Jimmy Carter saw a UFO, which would turn into a case that has been discussed and debated to this day.

James Earl Carter Jr., better known to the masses as Jimmy Carter, was the 39th president of the United States, serving from 1977 to 1981. A member of the Democratic Party, he narrowly beat out incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford in the Presidential race and was known for several sweeping changes, such as pardoning all Vietnam War draft dodgers, the establishment of the Department of Energy and the Department of Education, as well as his involvement with pushing the Panama Canal Treaties, the second round of Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT II), and advocating the return of the Panama Canal Zone to Panama. His presidency was marked by such turmoil as the Iran hostage crisis, the 1979 energy crisis, the Three Mile Island nuclear accident, and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and he is also known for his philanthropist work, founding the nongovernmental, not-for-profit human rights organization called the Carter Center, which won him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. Yet for all of this some of the most interesting tales surrounding the former president come from his years when he was a Senator in Georgia, most notably the time he had a UFO sighting that would fundamentally change his whole official stance on the matter.

Jimmy Carter

At the time, Carter was serving in the Georgia State Senate, his aim to be Governor of the state, and on one evening in January of 1969, he was getting ready to deliver a speech at a meeting of the Lion’s Club at Leary, Georgia. At the time he was with a group of around 20 others at a small outdoor restaurant right after sundown when his attention was drawn to something strange in the sky to the West, which appeared as a green light that steadily got brighter as it seemed to approach them. Carter would say of the strange events that would follow:

All of a sudden, one of the men looked up and said, ‘Look, over in the west!’ And there was a bright light in the sky. We all saw it. And then the light, it got closer and closer to us. And then it stopped, I don’t know how far away, but it stopped beyond the pine trees. And all of a sudden it changed color to blue, and then it changed to red, then back to white. And we were trying to figure out what in the world it could be, and then it receded into the distance.

In some retellings of his story he made mention of the fact that he did not take the phenomenon to be a solid object, although he believed it to be self-illuminated. Carter would keep the sighting mostly to himself, but sometimes brought it up in interviews, and considering his high standing he was encouraged to finally log an official report with the International UFO Bureau in 1973, after which it would be officially investigated in 1976. Considering that this was a full seven years after the sighting, most witnesses either did not remember the incident or that that it was just a weird anomaly that they hadn’t given much thought to over the years, but Carter had certainly been affected by it, even going so far as to tell reporters in his 1976 election campaign that one of his goals was to create more transparency in the government with regards to UFOs, and he would say:

One thing’s for sure, I’ll never make fun of people who say they’ve seen unidentified objects in the sky. If I become President, I’ll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and the scientists.

It is important to note that while Carter did believe he had seen something very strange that night, he did not necessarily think it was an alien spacecraft, and tended to be rather vague about what he thought it might be, but he was definitely open-minded, and was seen by hopeful UFOlogists as perhaps the first American president that would blow the lid on government secrecy with regards to UFOs, and pursue full disclosure. In the end, it would turn out that this was not to be. Interestingly, once he was elected he sort of backpedaled on his promise to pursue the matter, and rather than try enact any sort of disclosure he began strongly denying that what he had seen was an alien spacecraft, even going so far as to assert that extraterrestrials had never visited Earth, and proclaiming that no government that he knew of had secret knowledge of UFOs or had ever been part of a cover-up. Instead of demonstrating an openness to the phenomenon that he had once embraced due to his own sighting, he began to go into full denial and general dismissal of UFOs. Carter was less inclined to take the ambiguous stance of “I don’t know” anymore, and became more closed on the subject while simultaneously starting to voice more strongly the opinion that he had just seen some sort of experimental aircraft. Before long, Carter would get into his presidency full swing, and talk of the UFO he had seen would be swept under the carpet and largely forgotten, relegated to history as a curiosity and nothing more.

Theories on what Carter saw have run the range. There are of course the conspiracy theories that he did in fact see an alien craft, or at least really believed he had, and that he had shied away from that explanation under pressure from those within the government. A big explanations offered by skeptics was that he had merely seen the planet Venus, which is thought to have been particularly bright on the evening in question. However, Carter was an avid amateur astronomer, and firmly dismissed this possibility. Another idea is that he saw some other atmospheric phenomenon or that it was a high altitude glowing barium cloud launched from Eglin AFB for the purpose of studying the upper atmosphere. The cloud theory would fit in with the location, the elevation angle, and the non-solid properties claimed of it, as well as the color, size, and brightness of the object. A professor and member of the Carter family, Carl G. Justus, would originally offer this explanation, later explaining:

In the 1960s and early 70s I worked on an Air Force sponsored project that studied the upper atmosphere using releases of glowing chemical clouds, produced by rockets launched from Eglin AFB rocket range in Florida. Some of these chemical clouds, notably sodium and barium, were visible by the process of resonance scattering of sunlight. Clouds of this type had to be launched not long after sunset or not long before sunrise. This was due to the fact that the cloud had to be in sunlight at high altitude, while it was still dark enough at ground level for the cloud to be visible against the dark sky. 

I can verify from personal experience that under clear skies, a barium cloud such as this would easily have been visible from the distance of Leary, GA. Carter reported the UFO ‘appeared from West’. The direction of Eglin AFB from Leary, GA is approximately WSW. Thus, this barium cloud at Eglin is consistent with Carter’s reported ‘UFO’ as to time, elevation, AND direction. Furthermore, the appearance reported by Carter is totally consistent with a high-altitude barium cloud. His report stated that it was ‘bluish at first, then reddish, luminous not solid’. A neutral barium cloud would initially glow bluish or greenish, with parts of it taking on a reddish glow as some the barium becomes ionized in the high-altitude sunlight. The size and brightness, reported as being about that of the moon, would also be consistent with a barium cloud at Eglin, as viewed from Leary, GA.

Is that what Carter saw? Glowing chemical clouds? Or was it perhaps something more mysterious? The case sticks out because of the high standing of the witness, as well as the odd way he seemed to back away from it in later years. What seemed to have been perhaps a turning point for government disclosure instead became just another obscure UFO report buried in history. Whatever it was that Jimmy Carter saw, it has stirred a bit of debate ever since, and I wouldn’t hold one’s breath for any real answers any time soon.

“I put them in a room with a voice-activated recorder and that convinced me. When that boy was talking about them coming back to get us — you had an 18-year-old boy that had never seen anything. He was genuinely scared. He was telling Charlie, ‘Don’t talk to the deputies. They’ll come back and get us.’ They didn’t make it up. I can guarantee that.”

Few accounts of UFO sightings or alien abductions have survived the years, the investigations and the skepticism as the so-called Pascagoula incident has. There are many excellent books and articles about it, some written by the two men involved, but few things revealed in the 47 years since that infamous night of October 10, 1973, can match a police recording from that night which surfaced recently and was made public by witness Calvin Parker, who, with Charles (Charlie) Hickson, was unknowingly recorded by Sheriff Fred Diamond and Capt. Glenn Ryder of the Jackson County (Mississippi) Sheriff’s Office. While it’s Ryder who revealed his belief in the story, the tape was delivered to Parker by an unnamed member of the Pascagoula Police Department who was on duty that night and claimed to have fielded “roughly 50 phone calls that night from people claiming to have seen something unusual in the sky,” according to the Clarion (MS) Ledger.

“I’d never heard it — not the full recording — just the piece where Charlie and I were locked in the room and they walked out. I was surprised they had the whole thing on tape. I had no idea. Apparently, Charlie didn’t, either. They was all hid.”

“They” were the voice-activated microphones hidden in the room where they were interviewed. Parker admits that he and co-worker Hickson (now deceased) had no idea they were being recorded – he learned about it later when a snippet of the recording surfaced. Hearing the whole thing today, Parker says he regrets staying silent during the interview. Fortunately, Hickson did a lot of talking. However, that didn’t impress Diamond and Ryder. Ryder, who was interviewed for the story but was not the person who gave Parker the tape, says that what Hickson told Parker after the officers left the room turned him around. Hickson said:

“Jesus Christ, God have mercy, I thought I’d been through enough of Hell on this earth and now I’ve got to go through something like this, see. But they could have, you know, I guess they, well, they could have harmed us, son. They had us. They could have done anything to us, but they didn’t hurt me.”

The fear in Hickson’s voice is what Ryder says convinced him the men truly believed and were terribly frightened by whatever it was had happened to them. Parker told the Clarion that hearing the story again in their own words “kind of choked me up a little bit.” He says he had been communication over the Internet with the officer who had the original recording but was not expecting to get it until he “just showed up at my house” with two copies. You can listen to the entire recording here.

What can we make of this new revelation about this well-documented incident? Does it prove Parker and Hickson were abducted and taken aboard an alien spaceship? Not really. Does it confirm all of the other accounts of witnesses calling to report a UFO, with some eventually revealing contacts of their own? No. Does it at least confirm something happened to these two men that caused them to continue to tell this story 47 years later (in Parker’s case) with the same conviction heard on the recording of that night? It’s tough to fake that kind of conviction.

This latest UFO sighting video was just submitted to me through our Facebook page. It was filmed over Joshua city in Johnson County, Texas on Friday, 10th July 2020.

Witness told me it looked looked like two orbs were flying together.

The region known as the Berkshires of western Massachusetts is a charming, rural area dotted with small towns and possessing vast areas of pristine wilderness that make it a popular destination for hiking, fishing, and other myriad outdoor activities. It is for the most part a quaint, quiet area full of relaxing natural splendor and placid little towns in which not much ever really happens. Yet in 1969 there would be a series of otherworldly, inexplicable events that would play out in this secluded place, which would grip the entire region, and capture the imagination of people around the world.

Beginning on the evening of September 1, 1969, various people in the tiny town of Sheffield began reporting seeing a strange disc-like object with an array of bright lights on its underbelly. In some cases, more than one of these bizarre craft was supposedly seen, and in every case they were described as completely silent. Over 40 people would report seeing this strange sight in the skies over the area, and many of the calls were made by frightened residents to the local radio station, WSBS. The manager of the station, David Isy, would say of it:

We had listeners call the radio station that evening. At the time they didn’t know it was a UFO, they just, you know, called the station to say something bizarre has happened.

The Berkshires

While all of this was weird enough, some reports that would emerge from the time are more outlandish than others. One of the strangest cases on that evening was supposedly experienced by a local boy by the name of Thomas Reed, who was 9 years old at the time. On the evening of September 1, he claims that he was driving with his mother, grandmother, and brother when they all saw brilliant lights through the trees out over the road ahead as they were crossing a covered bridge, which got so intense the interior of the car was lit up as if it were daylight outside, and they could get a glimpse of a “a tarnished circular looking vessel.” At the same time, they experienced what they describe as a sort of change in air pressure, and a feeling like an electric charge in the air. Then something altogether even stranger happened.

The family allegedly suddenly and without warning found themselves on the road over a mile away in darkness, with people’s seats switched around, and looking at the clock showed that three hours had passed. The strange craft was gone and they were in pitch black night. None of them could really remember much of what had happened during that missing time, but Thomas had fleeting, confused memories of it in his mind, like a half remembered dream, including some sort of indoor hangar bay, of which he has said:

We encountered something. It was definitely not of this world. We had a black and white television at time and the imagery that we saw on this thing was unbelievable. There were lights that looked like fluorescent tubing inside this hangar. This hallway we had seen was circular with a Y-configuration almost to control the flow of traffic. This one room had a bowed-in wall that was rounded. This was not something that you would have seen in 1969 anywhere else. I have no idea where I was, but I know that what I saw was very different than anything I’ve even seen today 50 years later.

Reed would in later years admit that he had been abducted on several other occasions before that. Reed was not the only person to have such a strange experience at the time. Another odd case revolves around a boy named Tom Warner, who was claimed to have been taken aboard the ship in a beam of light right out of his home in front of his startled babysitter, and would later say that he had had telepathic communications with aliens while aboard. Another girl named Melanie Kirchdorfer also claimed that aliens had taken her aboard their ship, and that while there she had seen other kids from her school in some sort of dazed trance. There were also many reports of people with missing time who could remember nothing of what they saw, and considering these were all disparate people who did not know each other all reporting more or less similar things on the same evening it is rather remarkable.

A very strange account from the evening was also given by a local named Kevin Titus, who was also just a child at the time. He says that he was in the nearby town of Great Barrington on that evening looking for a missing cow along with his friend. He would claim that they had come across the animal lying on the ground in a mangled state as if it had been ripped apart, yet there was no blood anywhere. As the two shocked youths looked upon that macabre scene, they were allegedly suddenly bathed in a bright, white light, after which they saw “a tortoise shell-shaped craft” hovering above for a moment before shooting off into the night.

The Berkshires UFO Incident was all over the news at the time, and generated so much intense interest that a huge granite monument with a plaque was built in 2015 by the covered Sheffield bridge where Reed first saw the craft, and the Great Barrington Historical Society has formally labelled it as an official historical “significant and true event.” Unfortunately, the monument was not liked or embraced by everyone in the area, and was the frequent target of vandals until it was finally removed in 2019 after years of controversy and legal disputes orbiting it. The incident has been oft-discussed in UFO circles, appearing on TV documentaries such as “Paranormal Paparazzi,” “Alien Mysteries,” “Uncovering Aliens,” “Ancient Aliens,” and the new “Unsolved Mysteries,” and even has an exhibit at the International UFO Museum And Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico. However, Thomas Reed himself has long tried to downplay the sensationalism of it all, saying that his experience was ambiguous and that the news and these shows tend to overplay it all. He would say:

The papers and the stories have gotten so ridiculous that the truth has been lost. First of all, they keep using the cornball terminology you might find — the abduction stuff. That’s not what happened. Our family is very credible. We’re not a bunch of lunatics. Now, we do remember being in what looked like an airplane hanger. We didn’t stay in the car. We were removed from the vehicle, that’s true. Where we were, I don’t know.

So what was going on here? It is all very curious that so many disparate people who did not know each other reported pretty much the same thing at around the same time, which has propelled the case into one of the most notable of UFO history. What did these people see and what are we to make of the tales of abductions and missing time? Is this just a creepy anomaly or is there more to it? No one really knows, and the incident continues to hang over the area to this day.

De Solar Orbiter werd gelanceerd op 10 februari en voert onder tien instrumenten zes telescopen mee waaronder de EUI-telescoop van de Koninklijke Belgische Sterrenwacht (KSB) en het Centre spatial de Liège. Die bracht in de eerste, op 77 miljoen km afstand of ongeveer de helft van de afstand Aarde-Zon genomen, foto’s de aanwezigheid van alom aanwezige zonnevlamen nabij het oppervlak van onze ster aan het licht.
Ze kregen de bijnaam “kampvuren” of “kleine verwanten van de zonnevlammen die wij op onze planeet kunnen waarnemen, maar dan een miljoen of miljard keer” aldus David Berghmans van de KSB en hoofdonderzoeker van het instrument. De telescoop maakt hoge resolutiebeelden van de buitenste laag van de atmosfeer van de Zon, beter bekend als de zonnecorona. “De Zon ziet er op het eerste gezicht misschien rustig uit, maar als we in detail kijken, zien we overal zulke miniatuurvlammen.”

Corona

Nog niet geweten is of die “kampvuren” gewoon kleine versies zijn van de grote vlammen, dan wel het product van andere mechanismen. Mogelijk spelen ze een dominerende rol in het verhitten van de corona - de buitenste laag van de atmosfeer van de Zon - van onze ster, wat één van de meest mysterieuze fenomenen op het hemellichaam is. Na vele decennia van wetenschappelijke analyse zijn de fysische mechanismen die de corona verwarmen, nog steeds niet volledig begrepen, maar het ontdekken ervan geldt als de ‘heilige graal’ van de zonnefysica.

“Het is duidelijk nog veel te vroeg om te zeggen, maar we hopen dat we door deze waarnemingen te koppelen aan de metingen van onze andere instrumenten die de zonnewind ‘voelen’ terwijl deze het ruimteschip passeert, uiteindelijk in staat zullen zijn om enkele van deze mysteries te ontrafelen,” zegt Yannis Zouganelis, Solar Orbiter-projectwetenschapper bij ESA.

Enorme potentieel 

Volgens bij de missie betrokken wetenschappers wijst het waarnemen van verschijnselen die voorheen niet in detail te zien waren, op het “enorme potentieel” van de Solar Orbiter. De missie is nog maar net klaar met de eerste fase van de technische verificatie, de inbedrijfstelling.

“Dit zijn nog maar de eerste beelden en we kunnen nu al interessante nieuwe fenomenen zien”, zegt Daniel Müller, projectwetenschapper bij het project. “We hadden niet vanaf het begin al zulke geweldige resultaten verwacht. We kunnen ook zien hoe onze tien wetenschappelijke instrumenten elkaar aanvullen en zo een holistisch beeld opleveren van de zon en haar omgeving”.

Antigravity Vehicles Bombshell! How Did We Get This Very Unusual Technology?

Conceptual Artist and researcher Mark McCandlish spoke about unusual and breakthrough technologies as well as issues related to UFO activity and craft. He shared his first-hand experiences with the inexpensive product acetone. When added to premium fuel in the quantity of 2.5 ounces per 10 gallons of gas, it improves combustion efficiency and gas mileage by 25% to 35%, he reported. But the addition of acetone doesn’t work with gas that contains ethanol, he noted.

McCandlish presented his research into witness testimony regarding anomalous aircraft such as the “Alien Reproduction Vehicle”, which he suggested had been back-engineered from a “recovered” craft. Vehicles such as this may use a kind of antigravity propulsion that allows them decrease their mass as they move through space, he explained.

Sheep Like UFO Over Road In Fujian, China, July 1, 2020, UFO Sighting News.

Eyewitness names: Withheld to keep them safe. China is reacting harshly the last few months, taking over Hong Kong, not allowing sharing on internet outside of China, so I don't wish any harm to the witnesses over this video. 

The eyewitness were driving along a road when they noticed a strange object hovering above the distant hill. The man panics and says that looks like a UFO,  its a UFO! He goes on to say its not a cloud, but hovering in place. It hovered there for half an hour. He says the white object had what looked like wings and that maybe it was some kind of equipment like a blimp but it didn't look like any balloon he had ever seen. 

Absolutely amazing video and this object in the sky is defiantly not a blimp or balloon. This looks like an alien craft to me. But it could be a secret military craft. If this is a military craft, then its important to keep the eyewitness identity hidden. China would seek revenge on them. But the way its hovering over the hill, is like it just exited the hilltop.
