Thunderstorms on Jupiter are so violent and strong that ammonia-rich hail called “mushballs” could rain down from the sky. Apparently ammonia works similar to anti-freeze when it’s mixed with ice crystals which makes them melt and ultimately creates huge storms.
This new information was collected by NASA’s Juno spacecraft which arrived at Jupiter in July of 2016 and orbits the planet every 53 days. It studies the planet’s atmosphere in order to get a better understanding of Jupiter’s meteorology.
The mission has so far shown rotating white clouds full of ammonia in the upper atmosphere of the planet that measures over 2,000 square miles. These ammonia-rich clouds are located about 10 miles above other clouds and they cause flashes of lighting in addition to casting huge shadows on Jupiter.

Thunderstorms on Jupiter are similar to those that occur here on Earth as they both move around water within the atmosphere. One huge difference, however, is that the thunderstorms on the Gas Giant begin to form approximately 31 miles beneath the storm bands. The temperatures where the storms are formed are around the freezing point which means that if a storm is strong enough, it can move the ice into the upper portion of the atmosphere where it will then melt.
Tristan Guillot, who is a planetary scientist at the Côte d’Azur University in Nice, France, and an author of the papers, explained this further, “On Jupiter as on Earth, a mixture of two thirds water and one third ammonia will remain liquid down to a temperature of -100°C [-148°F],” adding, “The ice crystals which have been lifted high into Jupiter’s atmosphere are melted by ammonia — forming a liquid — and become the seeds for exotic hailstones, or “mushballs”.”
He went on to say, “The mushballs, being heavier, then fall deeper into the atmosphere until they reach a point where they evaporate. This mechanism drags ammonia and water down to very deep levels in the planet’s atmosphere.” “This can potentially explain Juno measurements that Jupiter’s ammonia abundance is variable until at least 100 miles below the visible clouds.”
There are even auroras on Jupiter.
Guillot went into further details about the storms, “During Jupiter’s violent storms, hailstones form from this liquid, similar to the process in terrestrial storms where hail forms in the presence of super-cooled liquid water.” “Growth of the hailstones creates a slush-like substance surrounded by a layer of ice, and these “mushballs” fall, evaporate and continue sinking further in the planet’s deep atmosphere.”
According to the data collected by Juno, there is more ammonia found near the equator on Jupiter although the exact amount is currently unclear.
In a second study, a team of international experts created models that indicated that the “mushballs” and storms on Jupiter “dry out” the atmosphere of its ammonia, while a third study detailed the flashes of lightning on the planet. The three papers can be read in full here, here, and here.
Some things about planets are constants. Most of them form around stars and stay in their orbit. Some get cut loose for a variety of reasons and become rogues. A few get too close to black holes and get sucked into the abyss. Then there’s blanets. What are blanets? Get ready to meet the bravest planets in the universe.
“In Wada, Tsukamoto, and Kokubo (2019), we proposed for the first time that a new class of planets, blanets (i.e., black hole planets), can be formed around supermassive black holes (SMBHs) in the galactic center. Here, we investigate the dust coagulation processes and physical conditions of the blanet formation outside the snowline in more detail, especially considering the effect of the radial advection of the dust aggregates.”
Keiichi Wada, Yusuke Tsukamoto and Eiichiro Kokubo are Japanese space researchers and university professors who have updated their 2019 paper on stuff that is seen around supermassive black holes with a new study submitted to The Astrophysical Journal detailing what they’re calling a new class of exoplanets – the blanet. In particular, they have been studying the supermassive black holes found at the center of most galaxies which are usually very active, with a disc of accretion dust and gas circling around it and avoiding consumption in a game of supermassive cat and mouse. While they originally thought planets in these accretion discs had been rogue exoplanets or planets orbiting stars captured by the black hole, this new study proposes that they actually form in the disc in somewhat the same way planets form around young stars.
“Our results suggest that blanets could be formed around relatively low-luminosity active galactic nuclei during their lifetime (100 million years). The gaseous envelope of a blanet should be negligibly small compared with the blanet mass. Therefore, the system of blanets are extraordinarily different from the standard Earth-type planets in the exoplanet systems.”
By “extraordinarily different,” the team means they grow much faster into much, much more massive than star-based planets. While the growth of planets in star-orbiting accretion discs are slowed by collisions, the black hole accretion discs have a lower viscosity – i.e., less traffic – that reduces the risk of collision. Because the viscosity is even lower at the outer edges of the disc, planets out there can grow quickly to masses that are 20 to 3,000 Earth masses, reaching what is considered the upper limit of planet size but not quite large enough to become a small star instead.
“The dynamical stability of such a system around a SMBH (supermassive black hole) may be an interesting subject for future studies.”
As you may have expected, these blanets can’t be seen – the study was done using models of supermassive black hole behavior. The team thinks all of this is “interesting” enough for future studies, provided they can find the grant money.
Could life exist on one of these blanets? A better question is: Why would life want to live so close to a supermassive black hole?

Ook de naam ‘Siamese Tweeling-stelsel’ wordt geschrapt. Dat zijn twee sterrenstelsels die in elkaar opgaan. De NASA gebruikt voortaan de wetenschappelijke namen NGC 4567 en NGC 4568. De ruimtevaartorganisatie kijkt of er meer beledigende en onwenselijke bijnamen in heelal zijn.
De Internationale Astronomische Unie gaat over de officiële namen in het heelal, maar dat zijn vooral complexe wetenschappelijke codes vol cijfers. Organisaties kunnen er zelf voor kiezen om namen te gebruiken die gemakkelijker te onthouden zijn. Zo wordt het object Barnard 33 ook wel de Paardenkopnevel genoemd, omdat hij lijkt op het hoofd van een paard.
An explosive UFO report in the New York Times mentions “off-world vehicles not made on this Earth” and reveals the Pentagon did not disband in UFO office in 2012, as previously understood.
Now that we know it exists, US Senators expect the Pentagon’s secretive UFO unit to make some of its findings public every six months, according to the New York Times.
The Times also reported that one consultant to the agency briefed US Defense Department officials regarding some incredible discoveries ― including items retrieved from “off-world vehicles not made on this Earth.”
NASA satellite captures weird "UFO-like Anomaly" close to the sun
The unusual event was captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) on August 6, 2020 and shows a huge reddish anomaly like a giant fireball which appears close the sun. Then a second anomaly appears changing into a bright light and expands to an enormous volume many times larger than Earth.
Nemesis who discovered the strange event talks about a giant fireball that shoots out of the sun but if you look closely then it looks like both anomalies are not connected to the sun, at least the second bright anomaly is not connected to the sun, I'm thinking it is much further back.
Besides, if it was a fireball then why does it look parallel with the sun wouldn't it be shooting outward not across?
This so-called 'fireball" was clearly not coming from the sun, I could be wrong but it looks like "something" was being destroyed in the velocity of the sun.
The team follows a trail of evidence connecting UFOs to the most destructive weapons in human history. A former U.S Air Force Colonel discloses an encounter on Christmas Eve 1980, while another former Air Force officer describes a UFO-related injury. Was the U.S. military planting UFO misinformation to distract attention from top secret test, or are they hiding an even more ominous threat?
Mars was full of liquid water; Mars never had liquid water. It’s an ever changing theory with no end in sight. Back in May of this year, I wrote an article on how astronomers found the first evidence of a river that once flowed for more than 100,000 years on the Red Planet. That study strongly suggested that around 3.7 billion years ago, the planet would have had an atmosphere that supported large amounts of liquid water and perhaps even life. Now, scientists have changed their tune again as they’re saying that Mars may not have been the warm, wet, potentially habitable planet that they once thought was possible. Experts analyzed information from the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter on NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft that collected data from 1997 to 2001. They studied over 10,000 valleys on the Red Planet in order to find out what it looked like during its first billion years of existence. They compared their Martian data to Devon Island in the Arctic and they found that the valleys on Mars could have been created in a similar way to those found below the island here on Earth.

Anna Grau Galofre, who is a geophysicist at Arizona State University and the lead author of the study, said in a statement, “If you look at Earth from a satellite, you see a lot of valleys: some of them made by rivers, some made by glaciers, some made by other processes, and each type has a distinctive shape,” adding, “Mars is similar, in that valleys look very different from each other, suggesting that many processes were at play to carve them.”
They found that the majority of the valleys on Mars had a better chance of being formed by melt-water that flowed between an ice sheet and the ground instead of by a flowing river on the surface.
They studied six characteristics from each of the 10,000+ valley segments and then compared them to four types of formations. Their results indicated that 22 of 66 valleys were created by melt-water that ran underneath glaciers; 9 others were formed by only glaciers; and 14 were created by rivers. The rest of them didn’t have enough information in order for scientists to make a conclusion on how they were formed. Another interesting fact was that while the valleys that could have been created by melt-water were located in different areas across the planet, the ones that may have been formed by flowing rivers were in one specific area close to Arabia Terra.
“For the last 40 years, since Mars’ valleys were first discovered, the assumption was that rivers once flowed on Mars, eroding and originating all of these valleys,” Grau Galofre stated, adding, “We tried to put everything together and bring up a hypothesis that hadn’t really been considered.”
With this new research, it seems as though Mars may not have been full of liquid water and may have been covered mostly in ice. The mystery and uncertainty about the atmosphere and temperatures on ancient Mars continues…

We live at a time when giant space rocks are whizzing past our planet with alarming regularity. Sometimes we know in advance that they are coming, and sometimes we don’t. In fact, on July 28th an asteroid the size of a car zipped past our planet “at a range that rivals the orbits of some high-flying satellites”, but we had only spotted it for the very first time on July 26th. If we couldn’t see that one until it was nearly upon us, could it be possible that there are much larger potential threats hurtling toward our planet that we currently know nothing about?
In 1998, a big Hollywood movie entitled “Deep Impact” imagined what would happen if a very large asteroid hit the Atlantic Ocean. It is hard to believe that it has been more than 20 years since it first came out, because I can still remember it very vividly. In one of the most memorable scenes in the film, a massive tsunami that is hundreds of feet tall slams into the east coast of the United States causing immense death and destruction. But that is just a movie. Could something similar actually happen in real life?
On Tuesday, a British news source reminded us that scientists have discovered that such a scenario is actually a very real possibility…
Of course an asteroid could potentially hit anywhere on the planet, but in their research Ward and Asphaug specifically focused on the Atlantic Ocean, and what their computer simulation came up with was extremely disconcerting…
Such an impact would send a series of giant waves in all directions, including toward the east coast of the United States. Today, almost 40 percent of the U.S. population lives in a county that directly borders a shoreline, and the population density right along the east coast is particularly dense.
Florida would probably be the first state to get hit by the waves, and it would be particularly vulnerable because most of the state is just barely above sea level…
In other words, there would be absolutely nothing to keep the tsunami waves from racing across the entire state. Much of the rest of the east coast would be extremely vulnerable as well. For example, New York City is less than 50 feet above sea level…
Boston, New Haven, Jersey City, Newark, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Virginia Beach, Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah and countless other east coast cities are all also less than 50 feet above sea level. So we are talking about the potential for death and destruction on a scale that is unimaginable.
We should hope that such an event can be put off for as long as possible, but we have been warned that our planet is apparently “in the midst of an epic asteroid surge”
And as I noted at the beginning of this video, we are still discovering more asteroids all the time. The one that was discovered on July 26th was not a threat, but it did come alarmingly close to us.
Despite all of our advanced technology, we remain extremely vulnerable, and scientists assure us that it is just a matter of time before our luck runs out and a gigantic space rock hits our planet. The good news is that we do not currently know about any asteroids that appear to be an imminent threat. But of course the bad news is that there are plenty of asteroids that we still haven’t discovered yet, and one or more of them could possibly be traveling directly toward us.
Beirut Dew Weapon Bombshell! Just Before Explosion a Mysterious Spherical Object Was Seen
This is a review of the massive explosion in Beirut, Libanon, on August 4, 2020, which killed at least 135 people with about 5.000 people wounded,. Reports indicate it was due to the unexplained explosion of 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate being stored in an area.
Now, a retired physician who is interested in Physics and origin of humanity and the universe has sent an image to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) for further investigation showing a fighter jet and a mysterious spherical object just before the huge explosion.
The physician states: “This picture was forwarded to me from Lebanon, I did not take the picture. It was published on line by an amateur, and shows what appears to be a jet fighter flying over the site of the massive explosion that destroyed the Port of Beirut and portion of the city. Destruction was seen up tot 15 miles around the site.It was heard in Cyprus 150 miles away and several eye witness interviewed consistently said they heard a jet in the sky shortly before the explosion.”
In the center of the picture below the jet appears a round dark spherical object with a halo just before the massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.

UFO Gets Caught On NBC News On Aug 3, 2020, Video, UFO Sighting News.
Date of sighting: Aug 3, 2020 Location of sighting: Navajo Tribe, Arizona, USA UFOs are often seen by Indians and have often been called spirits. This video clearly catches a disk shooting out of the clouds and back into the next cloud in the background. I'm not sure why NBC Nightly News missed it, but they were probably focused so much on the girl that they ignored all else. Did the UFO deliberately shoot across the background to get caught on TV? Probably not, but they were more likely on their ways someone when they noticed the TV crew and people gathered. Arizona is a huge bullseye of a hotspot for UFOs. With Area 51 in nearby Nevada desert and Nellis AFB also in Nevada...we kinda know where this UFO was headed toward...Nevada. Scott C. Waring - Taiwan Eyewitness states:

In fact, this entrancing telescopic portrait gives the impression the witch has fixed her gaze on Orion's bright supergiant star Rigel. Spanning over 50 light-years, the dusty cosmic cloud strongly reflects nearby Rigel's blue light, giving it the characteristic color of a reflection nebula. Cataloged as IC 2118, the Witch Head Nebula is about 1,000 light-years away.
Needless to say, its clear NASA too saw the head of the person and even went as far as to name it "the Witch Head Nebula." The witch is watching Orions bright star...Rigel. Which is a sign by the species that made it that they came from the location she looks at. Even NASA could not ignore the nebula shaped like a face. So...with facts in hand, or should I say ahead, I can definitively say that this nebula was created on purpose by an alien race so advanced that they could manipulate a whole nebula! They have god-like powers to accomplish something like that. Well, we know the truth, and NASA leaked it out by accident. UFO changes shape filmed over Cancun, Mexico "We know what we have seen"
On July 27, 2020 an amazing unidentified flying object was apparently seen in region 518 of the Enrique Rangel neighborhood of Cancun, Mexico.
Witness Johanna Loyo who captured the UFO contacted UFO researcher Carlos Clemente on which Carlos published the video on his channel.
Joanna Loyo who reported the sighting on her social networks said the following: “For the first time, my husband and I witnessed an incredible sighting. Finally after so many years we have managed to capture videos and photographs that we are not the only ones in this world."
“They will say that we are crazy, or if the footage is fake! But we are witnesses of what we have seen and the video and photographic evidence we have taken will speak for themselves."

Unknown lights were caught on tape in the sky above Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This happened on 5th August 2020.
Witness report:
Three steady lights rotating in night sky in triangular shape then took off and lights seperated. I was standing outside with my roommate who was showing me his new car when I just looked up at the sky and saw three bright lights in the shape of a triangle. As soon as I started to record they began rotating where you could sort of see these lights were connected. The object then took off to my left where it went behind some clouds then only one light was visible but when it appeared from behind the cloud it was no longer glowing and was disc shaped and dark. It moved very fast I couldn’t run fast enough to follow it. It made no sound.

All lifeforms on Earth, including humans, are made out of elements forged by extreme reactions deep in the bellies of stars. Phosphorus is among the core group of elements that make life possible, but scientists aren’t sure exactly what stellar processes create this important biological ingredient.
Now, a team of scientists has deepened the mystery of the element’s origins by discovering 15 “chemically peculiar stars” in the Milky Way that show “very high phosphorus abundances” that cannot be explained by any existing theories, according to a study published Tuesday in Nature Communications.
“Phosphorus is particularly interesting because there are only five elements that we know life on Earth depends on: Carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and sulfur,” said lead author Thomas Masseron, an astronomer at Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias in Tenerife, Spain, in a call.
“Phosphorus is a less abundant one,” he added, “so there are big uncertainties in general about where it is from.”
Masseron and his colleagues outlined several models to explain these phosphorus-rich (P-rich) stars, which may be similar to the long-dead stars that seeded our own solar system with this life-giving element.
The most likely origin story is that the stars were born from the ashes of a previous generation of massive stars that, for some reason, overproduced phosphorus in their lifetimes. This would require the progenitor stars to go through “a quite specific and peculiar nucleosynthesis,” the team said, referring to the process that goes on in the interior of stars to create new elements.
These massive stars would have spewed their phosphorus reserves across space when they exploded into supernova, thereby giving rise to a new brood of P-rich stars. However, computer models of this scenario suggest that it should also lead to carbon, sodium, and sulfur enrichment in the next generation of stars. The P-rich stars observed by the team, in contrast, do not show this pattern.
It’s also possible that the P-rich stars stole phosphorus from a companion star orbiting close to them, or that they fully merged with another star. Collisions between neutron stars, a class of dead, collapsed stars, provide another potential way to create phosphorus-enriched clouds of gas and debris. However, all of these explanations are contradicted in one way or another by the actual observations.
“The paper is all about exploring all possibilities and ruling out all of them,” said Masseron. “Basically, the answer is we don’t know.”
For this reason, the team is planning to study the stars in different wavelengths of light to learn more about their chemical fingerprints. They also hope to spot more examples of these outlier stars in order to see if they belong to a broader family of stars with equally inexplicable histories.
“Beyond the additional observations we are going to make, there will be another important aspect regarding collaboration with stellar interior and evolution experts, who now need to develop new models and possibly implement new physics to try to reproduce what we have observed, and thus attempt to find the origin of those stars,” Masseron concluded.
