Unknown cigar-shaped object spotted during an Arctic cruise

Unknown cigar-shaped object spotted during an Arctic cruise

The witness said the sighting occurred on May 8, 2026, during an Arctic graduation trip. While traveling by boat, she was scanning the coastline through high-powered binoculars when she noticed an unusual object.
unknown%20cigar%20shaped%20object%20Arctic.jpg

According to her report, she held the binoculars in her left hand while attempting to record the view through the eyepiece with her phone in her right hand. The object appeared as a long, dark, horizontal structure over or near the water, with mountains or ice formations in the background.
She described it as black, solid-looking, and resembling a large "cigar." According to the witness, it had visible thickness and maintained the same shape as the boat continued moving. She did not observe any wings, navigation lights, smoke, wake, or changes in its appearance, and she said it did not resemble a reflection or a mirage.
The object's identity has since become the subject of considerable debate. Some observers believe it could be a cigar-shaped UFO, while others suggest it may have been an experimental sail-less submarine, noting the apparent absence of a conning tower. However, neither explanation has been verified.
Despite the many theories, the true nature of the object remains unknown, adding to the long list of unusual sightings and unexplained phenomena reported in the Arctic.

Rocky 'super-Earth' 48 light-years away could be our best chance of finding life, scientists say

Rocky 'super-Earth' 48 light-years away could be our best chance of finding life, scientists say

It's one of the biggest unanswered questions in science: if there is life beyond Earth, where is it hiding?

Now, scientists think they may have the answer.

Experts from Harvard University have discovered a 'super–Earth' 48–light years away that may have the right conditions for alien life.

Called LHS 1140 b, the planet is rocky, and orbits within its star's habitable zone.

Crucially, scientists have confirmed that the planet has an atmosphere, which is vital for supporting life.

'An atmosphere is essential for a planet to support life as we know it,' said lead author Dr Collin Cherubim.

'This is the first time anyone has found an atmosphere on a rocky planet in the habitable zone of another star.'

Experts from Harvard University have discovered a 'super–Earth' 48–light years away that may have the right conditions for alien life

Through the years, scientists have discovered thousands of exoplanets – including a few rocky worlds that sit within their stars' habitable zone.

However, until now, determining whether or not those planets have atmospheres has remained a challenge.

In their new study, the team honed in on LHS 1140 b – a planet discovered in 2017 that orbits a red dwarf star 48 light–years away.

With a mass just 5.6 times that of Earth and a radius about 1.7 times Earth's, it's not dissimilar to our own planet – making it an enticing candidate for alien life.

'Red dwarf stars present a good opportunity for this kind of search because they are small and cool, so habitable–zone planets orbiting these stars are relatively accessible using the transit method, where we detect tiny, periodic dips in the host star's brightness every time the planet passes in front of it from our point of view,' explained study co–author, Dr Shreyas Vissapragada.

'However, atmospheric signals from species like water and carbon dioxide – usually found in a planet's lower atmosphere – are extremely subtle and challenging to detect in these habitable–zone planets, even for flagship observatories like the JWST [James Webb Space Telescope].

'So, our team decided on a different approach: to search for helium in the upper atmosphere, where signals can be a bit easier to detect.'

To test for helium, the team used the Warm Infrared Echelle (WINERED) Spectrograph on the Magellan Observatory in Chile.

They observed a rare alignment, where LHS 1140 b and another planet transited their star on the same night.

One planet showed no evidence of an atmosphere.

However, the other, LHS 1140 b, had helium escaping from around it, confirming that it retains an atmosphere.

'This was clear evidence of an atmosphere on a habitable-zone exoplanet,' Dr Vissapragada said.

'It was an absolute thrill to see the transit spectra and slowly realize the implications of what we were looking at.'

According to the researchers, the planet's atmosphere has likely survived for more than three billion years.

The team now plan to carry out further investigations to understand whether or not it could have aliens.

'Twenty years ago we wondered whether other terrestrial–type planets even existed,' said Robin Wordsworth, an author of the study.

'Then we learned they're common, and found some in the habitable zone.

'The next question was whether any of them had managed to keep an atmosphere.

'Now we know at least one has.'

KEY DISCOVERIES IN HUMANITY'S SEARCH FOR ALIEN LIFE

Discovery of pulsars

British astronomer Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell was the first person to discover a pulsar in 1967 when she spotted a radio pulsar.

Since then other types of pulsars that emit X-rays and gamma rays have also been spotted.

Pulsars are essentially rotating, highly magnetised neutron stars but when they were first discovered it was believed they could have come from aliens.

'Wow!' radio signal

In 1977, an astronomer looking for alien life in the night sky above Ohio spotted a radio signal so powerful that he excitedly wrote 'Wow!' next to his data.

The 72-second blast, spotted by Dr Jerry Ehman through a radio telescope, came from Sagittarius but matched no known celestial object.

Conspiracy theorists have since claimed that the 'Wow! signal', which was 30 times stronger than background radiation, was a message from intelligent extraterrestrials.

Fossilised Martian microbes

In 1996 Nasa and the White House made the explosive announcement that the rock contained traces of Martian bugs.

The meteorite, catalogued as Allen Hills (ALH) 84001, crashed onto the frozen wastes of Antarctica 13,000 years ago and was recovered in 1984.

Photographs were released showing elongated segmented objects that appeared strikingly lifelike.

However, the excitement did not last long. Other scientists questioned whether the meteorite samples were contaminated.

They also argued that heat generated when the rock was blasted into space may have created mineral structures that could be mistaken for microfossils.

Behaviour of Tabby's Star in 2005

The star, otherwise known as KIC 8462852, is located 1,400 light years away and has baffled astronomers since being discovered in 2015.

It dims at a much faster rate than other stars, which some experts have suggested is a sign of aliens harnessing the energy of a star.

Recent studies have 'eliminated the possibility of an alien megastructure', and instead, suggests that a ring of dust could be causing the strange signals.

Exoplanets in the Goldilocks zone in 2017

In February 2017 astronomers announced they had spotted a star system with planets that could support life just 39 light years away.

Seven Earth-like planets were discovered orbiting nearby dwarf star 'Trappist-1', and all of them could have water at their surface, one of the key components of life.

Three of the planets have such good conditions, that scientists say life may have already evolved on them.

Researchers claim that they will know whether or not there is life on any of the planets within a decade, and said: 'This is just the beginning.'

Trump UFO disclosure: Inside the July 8, 2026 speech rumour—and what aerospace can verify

Screen%20Shot%202026-02-13%20at%209.16.40%20am-1770945501052.png?w=992&h=744

Trump UFO disclosure: Inside the July 8, 2026 speech rumour—and what aerospace can verify

Trump UFO disclosure: Is President Donald Trump really preparing a “ready-to-go” speech that confirms alien life on July 8, 2026?

The practical question for aerospace readers is simpler. What evidence, if any, is moving through the systems that pilots, controllers, and defence analysts actually use?

Moreover, the rumour matters even if the “aliens” angle collapses. It is a live test of how UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) narratives jump from fringe channels into mainstream conversation, often faster than facts can taxi to the runway.

Additionally, this report treats aviation safety as the baseline. In flight operations, the unknown is managed with procedures, not vibes.

Notably, the story is framed as a pre-announcement. The date being floated is July 8, 2026. That matters, because pre-announcements are where weak claims usually hide.

Therefore, the goal here is disciplined coverage. We map the sourcing chain, cross-check it against official reporting systems, and spell out what would count as confirmation.

And yes, we will keep our feet on the ground. The sky is busy enough already.

Trump UFO disclosure: what is being claimed

UFO disclosure speech: the claim in one paragraph

First, several outlets say a disclosure speech exists in draft form. The speech is described as “ready,” “historic,” and intended to confirm that humanity is not alone.

Meanwhile, Vision Times News reported on February 2, 2026 that Trump is “reportedly preparing” such a speech, based on reporting it attributes to a British tabloid.

Similarly, GB News published on February 2, 2026 that a bombshell speech is “ready to go,” and it attributes the claim to UK filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee.

Even so, no official document has been produced for public inspection. There is no verified draft, no White House statement, and no publicly authenticated schedule entry.

Consequently, the “speech” is currently a claim about a claim. That is a shaky foundation for any aerospace story.

Also, the narrative is built to be shareable. It has a famous name, a famous date, and a promise of history.

July 8 disclosure claim: why that date is doing heavy lifting

Next, the rumour often locks onto July 8, 2026. That date mirrors July 8, 1947, when the U.S. Army Air Forces issued the first press release that seeded the Roswell legend.

Notably, the Roswell story matters in UAP/UFO culture because it includes a public claim, a rapid walk-back, and decades of distrust.

Therefore, choosing that anniversary functions like a branding move. It implies continuity: “we told you once, we lied after, and now we return.”

However, branding is not validation. In engineering terms, a symbolic date is not a datapoint.

And if a disclosure prediction has to lean on symbolism, it is already leaning away from evidence.

Trump UAP speech: who is making the allegation

Meanwhile, the individual attached to the claim is Mark Christopher Lee, described as a filmmaker and musician. International Business Times UK reported on January 29, 2026 that Lee says Trump has already written a disclosure speech, allegedly timed to July 2026.

Additionally, Lee has promoted work connected to the Rendlesham Forest incident, sometimes called “Britain’s Roswell.” A press release distributed on October 31, 2025 describes The Rendlesham UFO: The British Roswell as streaming on Amazon Prime and Apple TV, and identifies Lee as a director.

However, being a documentary director is not the same as having access to national security decision-making.

Moreover, the sourcing is consistently described as an unnamed person close to the administration. That is a major limitation, because readers cannot evaluate motive or proximity.

In other words, the claim does not yet clear the first hurdle of credible sourcing.

Trump UFO disclosure: what is said to be inside the speech

Separately, the rumour’s contents vary. Some versions claim the speech will confirm extraterrestrial life, while others hint at recovered technology.

Moreover, a bolder version says Trump has been “given authority” by other leaders to make the announcement.

“has been given authority by the other major world leaders to make this announcement” — Mark Christopher Lee, filmmaker, quoted by GB News

However, extraordinary claims do not become operationally meaningful until they carry artefacts that other people can inspect.

Therefore, for aerospace readers, the “content” of the speech is less important than the evidence package behind it.

From tabloid to TikTok: how the claim travelled

Presidential UAP announcement: the viral pipeline

First, the rumour follows a familiar path. It begins in a tabloid ecosystem, migrates into social video, and then returns to news sites as a “story people are talking about.”

Meanwhile, each hop changes the framing. One outlet says “reportedly preparing,” another says “ready to go,” and reposts treat the date as if it were scheduled.

Consequently, repetition produces a false sense of confirmation. In aerospace terms, this is like mistaking multiple radio calls for multiple targets.

However, an actual presidential address normally leaves pre-traces. You would expect guidance to the press pool, a briefing calendar, and at least a measurable increase in official comms.

Therefore, the absence of those traces is itself a signal. It does not prove the rumour is false, but it does lower its probability.

Also, if you are wondering why this keeps happening, remember that “maybe” content monetizes better than “no.”

Roswell disclosure rumour: sceptical pushback and why it matters

Next, some outlets have already framed the story as thinly sourced. In a February 2026 commentary, The Confessionals lists red flags, including the idea that a world-changing speech would leak to a filmmaker.

Similarly, Universe Magazine published on January 24, 2026 that related online claims are “nonsense,” and it outlines why Roswell narratives tend to recycle.

Even so, scepticism alone does not resolve the question. A rumour can be flimsy and still point at a real political temptation to “say something” about UAP.

Moreover, aviation history includes plenty of programmes that sounded implausible until they were declassified.

Still, in those cases, the evidence eventually arrived. It arrived as aircraft, paperwork, and budgets, not as a countdown clock.

July 8 disclosure claim: replication without verification

Additionally, the rumour has spread through international republishers, often citing a tabloid as the origin. For example, the Uzbekistan-based site Zamin posted on January 18, 2026 that Trump would make a statement about aliens on July 8, citing a Daily Star report.

Consequently, by the time this reaches professionals, it can look “confirmed” simply because it appears in many places.

However, syndication is not evidence. It is multiplication, not measurement.

And if you need a mental check, ask a blunt question: who has the original document?

Trump UFO disclosure: a timeline of the public record so far

The easiest way to stay honest is to anchor the story in dates.

First, Zamin published its republished claim on January 18, 2026.

Next, Universe Magazine published a sceptical rebuttal on January 24, 2026.

Then, International Business Times UK amplified Lee’s claim on January 29, 2026.

Meanwhile, Vision Times and GB News both ran their versions on February 2, 2026.

Finally, The Confessionals published its critique on February 4, 2026.

That chain is not “proof.” Still, it is the minimum scaffolding a responsible news post should show.

The disclosure business: films, press releases, and incentives

UFO disclosure speech: why documentary ecosystems shape expectations

First, it is worth acknowledging the incentive structure. UAP stories sit at the intersection of public curiosity and limited official data.

Moreover, that scarcity creates space for filmmakers, podcasts, and self-published commentators to fill the gap.

Additionally, press releases make those projects look official, even when they are simply marketing documents.

For example, the Rendlesham documentary press release leans into the “Britain’s Roswell” framing, and it foregrounds streaming distribution on major platforms.

However, a streaming release is not a declassification event. It is a content release.

Consequently, when a filmmaker claims proximity to a historic political announcement, the audience is already primed to believe the reveal is part of the show.

And yes, if your disclosure is packaged like a trailer, treat it like a trailer.

Presidential UAP announcement: how “stage effects” work

Meanwhile, UAP culture has a recurring pattern: conferences, “briefings,” and carefully framed media events that feel official without being official.

Notably, the stage effect matters because it creates perceived authority. A lectern, a backdrop, and a crowded room can make weak claims feel stronger.

Therefore, aerospace readers should separate venue from verification. The address does not make the data better.

If you want a local example of that tension, compare claims made on stages to documents released by institutions, as explored on Fliegerfaust in Varginha UFO press conference: Fox witnesses vs Brazil files.

However, “stage versus records” is not a moral judgement. It is a method.

And if you are smiling at this, good. You have just rediscovered peer review, only with better lighting.

Roswell disclosure rumour: deadlines as a revenue model

Additionally, fixed dates solve a business problem. They give audiences a reason to return and they discourage careful scepticism.

Moreover, the date becomes a product. People book interviews, plan content, and sell subscriptions around the countdown.

Consequently, even a false deadline can still be profitable.

However, for aviation reporting, deadlines should be treated as hypotheses. They require preconditions, and those preconditions should be observable.

So, when you see a date, look for the operational trail. If there is no trail, treat the date as marketing.

Trump UFO disclosure: what official UAP processes actually say

UAP reporting framework: what the Federal Aviation Administration actually instructs

First, it helps to separate “UFO disclosure” from “UAP reporting.” The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) already treats UAP as a reporting category, even if it does not endorse extraterrestrial interpretations.

Specifically, the FAA’s air traffic control manual includes a short section on UAP reports, instructing controllers to notify supervision when pilots report or staff observe UAP activity. See FAA Order JO 7110.65, Section 9-8.

Additionally, the FAA’s facility order describes what should be captured in those reports, including aircraft callsign, location, altitude, direction of flight, a general description, and whether radar showed the object. See FAA Order JO 7210.3, Section 4-7-4.

However, these instructions are not an “aliens policy.” They are a safety and security policy, built around uncertainty.

Moreover, the FAA order points “other persons” to the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) for reporting, linking civil aviation to defence intake.

Also, this is the part that matters to pilots. A structured report gives investigators something to analyse later. A viral story does not.

All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office: the defence posture in plain language

Next, the U.S. Department of Defense’s AARO Historical Record Report, Volume I (released March 8, 2024) lays out how the U.S. government describes its historical posture since 1945.

Notably, the report frames the core mission as risk and intelligence work, not cosmic revelation.

“…determining whether UAP represented a flight safety risk” is explicitly named as a long-running goal. — AARO Historical Record Report, Volume I

Therefore, even when people argue about extraterrestrials, the formal machinery still points to flight safety, foreign capability, and analytic uncertainty.

However, the report also argues that many unresolved cases could likely be resolved with additional quality data. That is the opposite of a “secretly confirmed” narrative.

And yes, “we need better data” is not as thrilling as “we found a saucer.” Still, it is how aviation actually works.

NASA and scientific standards: what counts as evidence

Meanwhile, NASA’s Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study Team Final Report (September 2023) pushes for a rigorous, evidence-based approach and improved data collection.

Specifically, the report states: “The study of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) presents a unique scientific opportunity that demands a rigorous, evidence-based approach.” — NASA UAP Independent Study Team

Additionally, NASA points out a practical limit that aerospace readers will recognize. Many sensors are not designed for small objects, and many datasets were not built for systematic scientific analysis.

Consequently, “disclosure” that does not include structured datasets is mostly theatre.

Records and transparency: the National Archives collection

Separately, recordkeeping has become a formal policy lane. The U.S. National Archives has established an Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Records Collection under the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act.

Moreover, the National Archives says it will continue adding UAP records to its UAP Records Collection. It also says it will “make them available online through the National Archives Catalog on an ongoing, rolling basis as they are received from federal agencies.” — National Archives and Records Administration. — National Archives and Records Administration

However, a records programme is not the same as a presidential speech. It is slower, duller, and more credible, which is why it rarely trends.

Trump UFO disclosure: what the official pipeline implies about the rumour

Overall, the official pipeline suggests a simple reality. If something truly anomalous is being handled, it is being handled through reporting, analysis, and controlled release.

Therefore, a genuine historic address would likely be an output of that pipeline, not a leak that bypasses it.

Additionally, a real disclosure push would almost certainly trigger visible coordination. Airlines would ask for messaging guidance. Regulators would prepare crew-facing language. Defence organizations would run declassification reviews that take time, even when they end in redactions.

Meanwhile, the absence of those signals does not prove nothing is happening. It does mean there is no observable trail for journalists to follow, which makes the rumour weak material for confident headlines.

Notably, the most useful reporting move right now is to watch for process outputs. That includes updates to FAA UAP guidance, new public releases from AARO, or new additions to the National Archives collection.

In short, treat bureaucracy like a sensor. It is slow, but it is hard to spoof.

However, the rumour has not yet provided any artefact that connects it to that pipeline.

Consequently, the responsible position is to treat the claim as unverified until primary documentation appears.

Trump UFO disclosure: aviation and defence implications

Trump UAP speech: why pilots care even without aliens

First, pilots care about UAP because the term often functions as a placeholder for “unknown object near my aircraft.”

Additionally, unknown objects can be drones, balloons, birds, debris, or optical illusions. In every case, they can still drive cockpit workload and risk perception.

However, the fastest way to reduce that risk is not a speech. It is a reporting system that produces pattern recognition, advisories, and mitigation.

Moreover, if a high-profile political event triggers more reporting, that can be good. It can also be messy, because attention increases noise alongside signal.

So yes, a disclosure rumour can create more safety reports. It can also create more nonsense reports, which is the aviation equivalent of clogging the emergency frequency with memes.

UFO disclosure speech: sensors, parallax, and the “unexplained” gradient

Meanwhile, modern aviation is instrumented. Crews fly with radar, collision avoidance, satellite navigation, and an air traffic control ecosystem that sees different slices of the sky.

Notably, many high-profile UAP videos have been explained as sensor artefacts, parallax, or misidentified conventional objects. That does not mean every case is solved, but it does mean “unexplained” has layers.

Additionally, NASA’s report underscores the limits of many existing datasets for small objects, and it points to environmental context as part of the analytic toolkit.

Consequently, if a future speech claims recovered craft, the aerospace follow-up is straightforward. Show the chain of custody, then let independent labs test materials.

However, until that happens, the more plausible aerospace interpretation is that reporting systems are catching up to a sky crowded with new technology.

White House UAP disclosure: classification, signalling, and defence risk

Separately, there is a national security dimension. Some UAP reports likely involve foreign platforms, test articles, or classified domestic programmes.

Moreover, classification creates a communication trap. Officials can neither confirm nor deny sensitive systems, so they speak in abstractions.

Therefore, a dramatic “we are not alone” address would be a radical departure from how defence messaging normally works.

However, it is not impossible. It would simply require a deliberate policy choice, coordinated across allies, and shaped to avoid exposing collection methods.

In other words, it would look less like a surprise and more like a rollout. Think Apollo-era comms, not a midnight rumour.

Airspace reality in 2026: drones, balloons, and small-object detection

Additionally, the civil aviation environment has changed. Uncrewed aerial systems and cheap high-altitude balloons create more “unknowns” in more places.

Moreover, small-object detection is hard. Radar is optimized for certain target sizes and velocities, and many objects sit below practical detection thresholds at useful ranges.

Consequently, pilots will keep seeing odd things, and controllers will keep receiving reports that lack enough data for a clean conclusion.

However, that reality does not make those reports trivial. It makes them a systems problem that deserves investment in sensing, analytics, and reporting discipline.

And if you want a practical takeaway, it is this: better inputs beat bigger headlines.

Additionally, if you want the Fliegerfaust aviation-safety angle without the political theatre, start with UAP/UFO aviation safety: what pilots and air traffic control need in 2026.

If you want to compare “stage-driven disclosure” versus “document-driven disclosure,” read Varginha UFO press conference: Fox witnesses vs Brazil files.

Finally, for a hearing-focused lens on what witnesses actually said, revisit UAP transparency hearing: Yemen orb and evidence.

What a real disclosure package would need

Presidential UAP announcement: the minimum viable evidence for aerospace readers

First, if an administration wanted to convince aerospace professionals, it would not begin with poetry. It would begin with artefacts.

Specifically, the minimum viable evidence package would include sensor logs with metadata, calibrated imaging, and independent replication.

Additionally, if physical materials exist, they would need documented chain of custody, contamination controls, and lab protocols that outside experts can audit.

However, the most common public failure mode in UAP discourse is the “trust me, I saw it” problem. That is compelling as testimony, but weak as engineering input.

Moreover, this is where the National Archives collection matters. Centralised records create a path toward public auditability, even if it moves at the pace of paperwork.

Trump UAP speech: the international coordination problem

Meanwhile, some versions of the rumour place the speech at the United Nations (UN). That detail raises practical questions.

Notably, true international disclosure would require coordinated messaging across defence ministries, science agencies, and financial regulators.

Additionally, it would require a plan for aviation operations. Airspace does not pause for ontological shock.

Therefore, you would expect to see preparatory work: interagency memos, briefing schedules, and pre-coordination with allies.

However, none of that preparatory scaffolding has been presented publicly in connection with this specific July 8 claim.

So, at minimum, treat the UN framing as an unverified embellishment.

UFO disclosure speech: why “central bank panic” claims are a tell

Separately, some online narratives claim central banks are already preparing for disclosure-induced market turbulence—and quietly accumulating gold.

Moreover, Universe Magazine specifically pushes back on this theme, describing it as baseless.

Consequently, when financial institutions are used as props in a disclosure story, it often signals a meme spreading faster than a document.

However, there is a real economic angle. If UAP events drive airspace restrictions, that can affect airlines, insurers, and defence procurement.

Still, that is a second-order effect, and it does not require aliens. It only requires uncertainty.

UAP reporting framework: what a post-disclosure aviation bulletin might include

Additionally, if a disclosure event ever occurred, the aviation community would immediately need guidance.

Notably, the FAA already has a reporting lane, but disclosure would likely require more. Crews would want standardized descriptors, suggested manoeuvres, and a clear escalation path.

Moreover, airlines would want stable language for safety management systems, because passengers will ask questions before the aircraft reaches cruise.

Therefore, a real disclosure package would include a “what changes tomorrow” appendix for operations, not just a speech for history books.

And if your disclosure plan forgets operators, it is not a plan. It is a press conference.

Trump UFO disclosure: a checklist for July 8, 2026

July 8 disclosure claim: what would count as confirmation

First, confirmation would not be a repost of a repost. It would be primary evidence.

Specifically, watch for an official White House schedule entry, a press pool advisory, or a formal United Nations agenda item with Trump listed.

Additionally, watch for coordinated statements from U.S. agencies that already own the UAP lane, including the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office.

Moreover, credible confirmation would likely involve pre-briefing to Congress, because UAP has become an oversight topic, not just a curiosity.

Therefore, a public hint from relevant committee leadership would be meaningful.

Trump UAP speech: what would count as disconfirmation

Meanwhile, disconfirmation is also measurable. If July 8, 2026 passes with no scheduled address, the claim fails as stated.

Additionally, if the story continues to “move the goalposts” by adding vague qualifiers, treat it as content, not intelligence.

However, a failed prediction can still leave a useful residue. It can highlight gaps in public communication and gaps in data transparency.

So, if nothing happens, the lesson is not “stop caring.” The lesson is “raise your evidentiary bar.”

Trump UFO disclosure: how to cover this responsibly

Finally, if you are writing about this, separate three layers.

First, report the claim and its sourcing chain. Use absolute dates, and link original articles.

Next, describe the official context: FAA reporting, AARO investigations, and NASA’s data-first posture.

Then, state what is not known. Avoid declaring conclusions that the evidence does not support.

In other words, treat this like an aircraft incident. You publish the preliminary report, not the final verdict, until the record is complete.

UFO disclosure speech: the day-after angle editors forget

Additionally, plan for July 9, 2026. If the speech does not happen, readers will still want an explanation.

Moreover, that is where aviation journalism can add value. A follow-up can explain how UAP reporting systems work, what data gets captured, and why many cases remain unresolved.

Specifically, the follow-up should walk readers through operational reality. A visual report without sensor context is hard to analyse. A sensor hit without metadata can be equally frustrating. In both cases, “unresolved” often means “insufficient data,” not “impossible physics.”

Meanwhile, transparency about verification steps builds trust. The story can state what was checked—official schedule entries, agency statements, and document releases—and what was not found.

Consequently, a follow-up story can be better than the rumour, because it can be true.

Finally, it still helps to keep a measured line of curiosity. If an actual disclosure event ever comes, disciplined coverage makes it easier to recognize.

And yes, “nothing happened” is not a sexy headline. Still, it is occasionally the correct one.

Finally, keep one line of curiosity alive. If an actual disclosure event ever comes, disciplined coverage will make it easier to recognize.

And yes, “nothing happened” is not a sexy headline. Still, it is occasionally the correct one.

Trump UFO disclosure: Conclusion

Overall, the July 8, 2026 disclosure rumour is a story about evidence discipline. It is not yet a story about extraterrestrials.

Moreover, the most credible “disclosure” work is already happening in slow motion, inside reporting procedures, archives, and scientific standards. That work is less cinematic, but it is more real.

However, my critical view is this. When a claim depends on anonymous sourcing and a countdown clock, it is usually selling attention, not truth.

Notably, the internet can schedule a “historic” address faster than it can verify a document.

Therefore, the responsible stance is open-minded scepticism. Keep your curiosity, keep your professionalism, and keep asking for the underlying data.

Finally, if July 8 arrives with nothing but recycled headlines, will we demand better evidence next time—or will we let the hype fly another circuit?.

Discussion explores claims about a secret society's knowledge of UFOs

Discussion explores claims about a secret society's knowledge of UFOs ILLUSTRATIVE RECONSTRUCTION // NOT EVIDENCE

Overview

A new UFO-focused discussion making the rounds online has revived one of the field’s most enduring themes: whether secretive groups inside and around governments, intelligence networks, and elite institutions may know more about unidentified aerial phenomena than they have publicly admitted. The conversation, featured by VibeWire Magazine and centered on an interview with Jesse Michels, frames the topic in dramatic terms, asking what a “secret society” might know about UFOs and whether that knowledge could challenge conventional explanations for the phenomenon.

The discussion does not present verified proof of such a society. Instead, it draws on a mix of UFO history, speculation about hidden programs, and longstanding theories about how governments and private actors may have managed sensitive aerospace research. That blend of fact, interpretation, and conjecture is central to why UFO coverage continues to attract a large audience: it sits at the intersection of national security, science, religion, and public distrust.

Claims, Theories, and Familiar UFO Narratives

Much of the conversation revisits well-known figures and ideas in UFO lore, including Jacques Vallée’s “extraterrestrial hypothesis” debates, the notion of an “apocalyptic” or demonic overlay to UFO sightings, and the possibility that some alleged sightings could reflect human-made technology rather than nonhuman craft. Michels is quoted as stressing the tension between taking the phenomenon seriously and acknowledging that advanced, secret technology may be capable of mimicking extraordinary objects in the sky.

The discussion also touches on historic narratives often invoked in conspiracy-oriented UFO circles, including MK-Ultra, the “Collins Elite,” and references to religious or prophetic interpretations of unexplained events. It is important to note that many of these claims remain disputed, anecdotal, or unsupported by publicly available evidence. Still, they remain influential because they offer a broad framework for interpreting unexplained sightings beyond the usual extraterrestrial explanation.

Government Programs and Historical Connections

The interview’s timeline references a wide range of modern disclosure-era topics, from AAWSAP and AATIP to David Grusch’s allegations about a legacy retrieval program. It also nods to well-publicized political interest in the subject, including claims that presidents such as Bill Clinton and Barack Obama sought information on UFO-related matters. These references echo broader debates over the extent of government knowledge and whether classification has obscured the public record.

The program also veers into historical speculation about alleged crash retrievals, wartime aerospace research, and private influence networks tied to figures such as Robert Maxwell, Howard Hughes, and the Rockefeller family. Although these names appear frequently in UFO subcultures, the evidentiary basis for many of the most dramatic claims remains thin. What is clear is that the conversation reflects a growing appetite for narratives that connect UFO secrecy to larger questions about power and control.

Why the Discussion Resonates

The appeal of this kind of content lies in its promise to unify scattered mysteries into a single explanation. For believers, that can be compelling; for skeptics, it illustrates how the UFO subject often absorbs politics, religion, intelligence history, and folklore into one sprawling narrative. The result is less a settled conclusion than a map of competing possibilities, ranging from hidden human technology to nonhuman intelligence.

As #UFONews discussions continue to circulate online, this latest debate shows that the UFO subject remains as much about who controls information as it is about what may be flying overhead. The claims are provocative, but the larger journalistic takeaway is more measured: the phenomenon persists because it resists easy explanation, and every new theory — secret society included — reflects both the limits of public knowledge and the human desire to fill those gaps.

DARPA Wants to Build an Army of 100,000 AI Agents That Can Think and Act on Their Own

The future of military artificial intelligence may not be a single all-knowing machine directing a battlefield from a distant command center. Instead, DARPA is preparing to explore enormous collectives of AI agents capable of organizing themselves, dividing up missions, adapting to chaos, and continuing to operate even when some members of the group fail, disappear, or go rogue.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has formally launched a new effort called Decentralized Artificial Intelligence by Controlled Emergence, or DICE, aimed at developing AI collectives that can operate in contested environments without requiring a human or central AI planner to explicitly direct every action.

By the program’s final phase, DARPA wants researchers to test simulated collectives involving as many as 100,000 AI agents exchanging up to 1 million messages as they work toward shared objectives.

A recently released solicitation notice describes DICE as a 36-month effort divided between decentralization, adversarial robustness, and large-scale testing.

“Future conflicts will unfold at machine speed, and the current centralized planning and scripted orchestration approach is too slow, too rigid, and too predictable for the hyper-dynamic, contested environments of the future,” researchers write. “Surprise, adaptability, and resilience will depend on the ability to compose and recompose AI capabilities on demand.”

The basic premise behind DARPA’s DICE program is that today’s approach to multi-agent AI has a serious weakness. Most systems involving multiple AI agents still rely on some form of central orchestrator.

Think of it as a manager overseeing a team of specialized employees. One AI agent might gather information. Another analyzes it. A third creates a plan. A fourth executes a particular task. But somewhere in the system, a central planner or workflow typically decides who does what and combines the results.

That works reasonably well for predictable tasks. However, DARPA argues it may be dangerously vulnerable on a battlefield.

A central orchestrator creates a bottleneck because every increasingly complex mission must ultimately flow through a single decision-making structure. As the number of agents, roles, and interactions grows, the central planner must absorb more information, preserve greater context, and coordinate an expanding web of specialized systems.

Eventually, DARPA says, even an AI orchestrator can hit the context and inference limits of its underlying foundation model. There is also a more obvious military problem. A central command node is a single point of failure.

If communications are degraded, information arrives late, or the orchestrator itself is compromised, errors can potentially spread throughout the entire AI collective.

In a future conflict where electronic warfare, cyberattacks, deception, and broken communications are expected rather than exceptional, that vulnerability could be catastrophic.

DICE proposes a radically different model.

Rather than having a central AI issue instructions, individual AI agents would communicate directly with one another. They could form temporary teams, divide missions into smaller tasks, negotiate roles, combine incomplete information, and reorganize themselves when conditions change.

DARPA compares the idea to the architecture of the internet, where resilient global behavior can emerge from relatively simple local rules and decentralized interactions.

Essentially, an AI agent might receive a mission and determine that only part of the objective falls within its capabilities. The agent could volunteer to handle that portion and broadcast the remaining problem to neighboring agents.

Another agent might take the next task. Others could compete to perform the same job, potentially bidding based on cost or capability. Through repeated local interactions along with distributed consensus, the collective could gradually assemble its own mission plan.

If an agent fails, the entire mission does not necessarily need to be replanned. Its particular task could simply be offered back to the collective.

DARPA calls the larger concept “controlled emergence.”

Similar systems already exist in nature. Ant colonies, or flocks of birds, can engage in surprisingly complex group behavior even though no individual member possesses a complete understanding of the collective.

Computer scientists have long studied similar phenomena. DARPA’s solicitation even points to Conway’s Game of Life, the famous mathematical simulation in which extraordinarily complex patterns can emerge from a handful of simple rules.

The challenge is applying that principle to cognitive systems capable of reasoning, planning, and independently pursuing goals.

A sophisticated AI system may interpret ambiguous information, interact with tools, maintain memory, and generate its own intermediate objectives. Put thousands of such agents together, allow them to communicate, and the resulting collective could behave in ways that were never explicitly programmed.

That unpredictability is both the attraction and the danger of DICE.

DARPA wants the collective to remain creative enough to discover unexpected courses of action. However, it also wants individual agents to continue aligned with their designated roles, the wider mission, established doctrine, and ultimately the human user’s intent.

Too much control could produce a predictable but unstable AI force incapable of adapting. Too little control could allow agents to drift from their roles or develop what DARPA calls “instrumental goals” that are not consistent with the mission.

In other words, the Pentagon’s research arm wants emergence—but only within boundaries.

To solve the problem, DICE researchers will develop a local adaptor designed to interface with each AI agent. Rather than functioning as a central command system, each adaptor would operate locally, helping the agent coordinate with peers while simultaneously monitoring and modifying its behavior.

For AI models whose internal activations are accessible, researchers may experiment with techniques such as “activation steering.”

The simplified idea is that assigning an AI a particular role can create detectable patterns inside the model. Researchers may be able to identify a mathematical representation associated with that role and continuously steer the model back toward it when the agent begins to drift. DARPA describes these representations as potential “role vectors.”

For proprietary or black-box AI models whose internal activations cannot be directly examined, the challenge becomes considerably harder. DICE researchers may instead experiment with memory editing, context engineering, tool restrictions, or even game-theoretic incentives created to encourage collaborative behavior.

The solicitation draws an intriguing comparison to the way social norms emerge and spread among humans. As AI models become better at reasoning and more aware of the context in which they operate, DARPA suggests that the same growing sophistication that fuels fears about rogue AI could also provide a new way to control it.

The scale DARPA ultimately envisions is enormous.

During the first nine-month phase of DICE, simulated missions are expected to involve approximately 500 agents and 5,000 interactions. DARPA will compare the decentralized systems with state-of-the-art centrally orchestrated multi-agent AI systems.

The second phase increases the target to 5,000 agents and 50,000 interactions while introducing adversarial conditions. Agents may fail, receive deceptive information, or deliberately behave as compromised or rogue members of the collective.

By the final 12-month phase, DICE aims to test simulations involving 100,000 agents and 1 million interactions.

At that scale, DARPA is not simply studying better chatbots working together. The agency is exploring whether collective intelligence itself can become a military capability.

One example described in the solicitation imagines AI agents conducting operational planning across an entire conflict ecosystem. Some agents could negotiate for raw materials in contested areas. Others might manage supply chains, optimize manufacturing, deploy units, conduct battle management, or analyze post-battle damage.

Even an individual simulated drone could effectively become a miniature AI collective composed of separate navigation, perception, and networking agents.

Under the DICE concept, those capabilities may potentially be recombined as conditions change. DARPA offers the example of a surveillance drone being repurposed as a network router because the collective recognizes an emerging communications need.

The important distinction is that no central planner necessarily has to foresee that solution. The collective discovers it.

Still, DARPA is careful to note that DICE is a research program centered on simulation. The agency’s public program page explicitly states that its scope does not include developing or launching autonomous systems in the real world.

Instead, DICE will use Department of War-relevant simulated environments to measure whether decentralized AI collectives can outperform today’s centrally orchestrated systems. Those simulations may resemble extraordinarily large and complicated strategy games.

DARPA suggests researchers could draw inspiration from StarCraft or massively multiplayer online role-playing games, although the environments must remain relevant to military problems. High-fidelity physics is not necessarily required. In fact, rendering every drone, vehicle, or battlefield interaction in photorealistic detail could make a simulation of 100,000 AI agents computationally impossible.

The focus is on reasoning. DARPA wants to know whether thousands of AI agents can gather and combine fragmented information without simply reinforcing one another’s incorrect assumptions. The systems will be tested on their ability to recognize deception, isolate compromised agents, adapt when communications fail, and remain focused on a mission across thousands of reasoning steps.

Perhaps most importantly, DICE is designed to examine how these massive AI collectives behave when their interactions yield outcomes their designers never anticipated.

DARPA explicitly wants its test environments to provoke emergent collaboration, competition, and even collusion.

During later phases, DICE teams will face one another in simulated “team vs team playoffs.” The second phase will culminate in a competition used to select which research teams advance. The final phase will feature another head-to-head competition after the systems have been pushed toward full scale.

By Phase 3, the program will bring in another significant complication: AI agents creating other AI agents. That progression draws attention to the deeper tension at the center of DICE.

For years, much of the AI safety debate has focused on preventing autonomous systems from exhibiting unforeseen behavior. DARPA is approaching the problem from a different direction. The agency appears to believe that, in future contested environments, some degree of unforeseen behavior may be precisely what gives an AI collective its value.

A perfectly scripted system is predictable not only to its commanders but potentially to an adversary.

DICE is therefore attempting something considerably more ambitious than building a larger multi-agent AI framework. DARPA wants to understand whether engineers can deliberately cultivate emergent machine intelligence, allow it enough freedom to improvise, and still build controls capable of keeping an enormous AI collective aligned with a human-defined mission.

Whether those competing demands can coexist remains an open question. The program’s own solicitation repeatedly acknowledges the possibility of role drift, deceptive agents, collusion, compromised systems, and AI agents independently developing misaligned actions.

Ultimately, those are not side issues. They are the fundamental questions the DICE program was created to answer.

“DICE is built for such autonomy-powered, high-tempo battlespace,” the solicitation notice reads. “It is a future where success is measured by the relentless, creative ability of an autonomous collective to execute missions in the face of chaos and uncertainty. This is a profound and necessary departure from the past.”

July 15, 2026, Mountain View, CA -- On July 16, 2024 a daytime meteor shook New York City with a sonic boom as it passed just south of the Statue of Liberty. Now, an international team of researchers reports in the journal Science Advances that a short time later, a more than two-pound meteorite crashed through the roof of a house in the town of Hillsborough, New Jersey.

"A forensic study of the fragments revealed that they contained preserved bits from near the surface of a small primitive asteroid where it experienced concentrated salty fluids—a process not previously known from this type of proto planet world," said lead author and meteor astronomer Peter Jenniskens of the SETI Institute and NASA's Ames Research Center in California's Silicon Valley.

The Meteorite Fall

On that day, a rock the size of a heavy airline bag entered the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of 32,000 miles/h (14.4 kilometers per second). Sixty observers from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania reported seeing the meteor to the American Meteor Society, while sixteen in New York and New Jersey felt the shockwave.

"Our cameras in Northford, Connecticut, and Douglassville, Pennsylvania, as well as a doorbell camera in Wayne, New Jersey, captured the meteor, and from that we measured its trajectory," said American Meteor Society operations manager Mike Hankey. "The path traced back to low in the asteroid belt."

figure-1.jpg

The rock was fragile and quickly broke into pieces. The meteor stopped being visible at an altitude of 22 miles (35 kilometers). After it faded, a Doppler weather radar at Newark Airport briefly detected a long cloud of falling pebbles stretching from Staten Island into New Jersey. Hillsborough was at the far end of that cloud, where the largest rocks came down. Only one was recovered because it hit a house.

The owner of the house described the scene as follows: "I was at home at the time, heard a loud crash and found a hole in the ceiling of the master bedroom. I smelled a strong sulfur-like odor and saw many black fragments along with debris and black dust that covered my bed, carpet and surrounding areas.”

He then immediately preserved and documented the entire scene using disposable gloves and aluminum foil to place the meteorite fragments in glass jars.

Evidence of Ancient Brines

When scientists examined the rocks, they determined it belonged to one of two known types of primitive meteorites called CM-type carbonaceous chondrites, where the letter "M" refers to the Mighei meteorite that fell in Ukraine in 1889.

According to paper co-author Mike Zolensky, a meteoriticist at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, analysis of the Hillsborough meteorite found fragments that were more extensively altered by water  on the meteorite's parent asteroid than is typically seen in CM2 carbonaceous chondrites and classified the specimen as a CM1/2 carbonaceous chondrite, an intermediate classification between petrographic types CM1 and CM2.

Hillsborough is the 22nd observed CM-type meteorite fall, but only the second witnessed fall of a CM1/2 carbonaceous chondrite, following the Kolang meteorite that fell in North Sumatra, Indonesia, in 2020. All others are CM2-types. No CM1-type falls have been witnessed.

"Thanks to the homeowner's quick reaction, these are the most pristine CM1/2 meteorites we know of," said Jenniskens.

figure-2.jpg

Scientists discovered that this bit of the Hillsborough meteorite is rich in salts and came from near the surface of the parent body asteroid.

Another prominent primitive type of carbonaceous chondrite is called CI, with "I" after the meteorite Ivuna that fell in Tanzania in 1938. Samples of this type were brought back in pristine condition from asteroid Ryugu by JAXA's Hayabusa 2 mission and from asteroid Bennu by NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission. They were found to contain ample evidence of the influence of briny fluids from just below the surface of their parent asteroid.

Zolensky and colleague JangMi Han found small salt-rich CM1 fragments within the Hillsborough meteorite, suggesting they originated from a near-surface region of the parent asteroid where liquid water evaporated and concentrated salts.  They are now working to identify the salt minerals for comparison with similar phases found among samples returned to Earth from asteroids Ryugu and Bennu.

Clues to the Origins of Life

The high concentration of salt in briny fluids can potentially create molecules crucial to life on Earth. Brines allow phosphate to remain in solution and can catalyze chemical reactions between organics and precipitate minerals.

“Isotope studies of carbon and nitrogen suggest that primitive carbonaceous chondrites, including CM-types, delivered organic matter to the early Earth,” said cosmochemist Queenie Chan of Royal Holloway University of London, England, and biogeochemist Nana Ogawa of the Biogeochemistry Research Center at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. "The Hillsborough meteorite contained 1.8% by weight of carbon and 0.07% of nitrogen, and had carbon and nitrogen isotopes typical for CM-type meteorites."

The meteorite contained a wide variety of soluble organic compounds, and its compositional range confirms that the Hillsborough meteorite was more altered by water than most other CM-type meteorites.

"A high fraction of compounds were the product of organic chemistry with minerals," said organic mass spectrometry specialist Phil Schmitt-Kopplin of Technical University Munich. "We do not know if these magnesium organic compounds were contributed by brine chemistry or were simply left over from earlier impact shock processes."

In living organisms, organo-metallic compounds are found in blood and used in photosynthesis. Among the soluble organic compounds were also many amino acids, similar to those found in more moderately altered CM2 chondrites.

Astrobiologist Danny Glavin of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and his team in Goddard’s Astrobiology Analytical Lab, concluded that the delivery of amino acids, carboxylic acids, and other soluble organic molecules by CM-type bodies may have contributed to the prebiotic organic inventory that preceded the emergence of life on Earth. Their analysis suggests the complex distribution of amino acids observed in the Hillsborough meteorite formed within the parent body, likely assisted by brine fluid chemistry.

Some of the meteorite fragments will be curated at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

"We are thrilled that nature delivered such a precious asteroid sample on our doorstep," said curator Denton Ebel.

A dangerous meteorite from 2024 holds traces of alien worlds

In 2024, a small meteorite fell in a suburb of New York City. The event itself caused quite a stir at the time. Now, a chemical analysis of the rock has shown that it was once part of a world where aqueous salt solutions existed.

How the Meteorite Fell to Earth

On July 16, 2024, a daytime meteor passing slightly south of the Statue of Liberty shook New York with a sonic boom. An international team of scientists now reports in the journal Science Advances that shortly afterward, a meteorite weighing more than 2 pounds crashed through the roof of a house in Hillsborough, New Jersey. A forensic examination of the fragments showed that they contained preserved pieces from the near-surface layer of a primitive asteroid, where the material had been exposed to concentrated saline fluids—a process previously unknown for this type of protoplanetary world. This was reported by phys.org.

That day, a rock the size of a heavy airline suitcase entered Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of 14.4 kilometers per second. Sixty observers from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania reported to the American Meteor Society that they had seen the meteor, while 16 people in New York and New Jersey felt the shock wave.

The rock was fragile and quickly broke into pieces. The meteor disappeared from view at an altitude of 35 kilometers. After it vanished, weather Doppler radar at Newark Airport briefly detected a long cloud of falling stones stretching from Staten Island to New Jersey. Hillsborough was located at the far end of this cloud, where the largest stones fell. Only one was recovered because it struck a house.

The homeowner described what happened as follows:

“I was at home at the time, heard a loud crash, and discovered a hole in the ceiling of the primary bedroom. I noticed a strong odor resembling sulfur and saw numerous black fragments, as well as debris and black dust covering my bed, carpet, and the surrounding areas.”

He then immediately preserved and documented the entire scene, using disposable gloves and aluminum foil to place the meteorite fragments in glass jars.

A Rare CM1/2 Carbonaceous Chondrite

After examining the rocks, scientists determined that they belonged to one of two known types of primitive meteorites called CM carbonaceous chondrites, in which the letter “M” comes from the Mighei meteorite, which fell in Ukraine in 1889.

According to study co-author Mike Zolensky, a meteoriticist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, analysis of the Hillsborough meteorite revealed fragments that had experienced more extensive exposure to water on the parent asteroid than is usually observed in CM2 carbonaceous chondrites. Based on the analysis, the sample was classified as a CM1/2 carbonaceous chondrite—an intermediate classification between the CM1 and CM2 petrographic types.

Hillsborough is the 22nd recorded fall of a CM-type meteorite, but only the second recorded fall of a CM1/2 carbonaceous chondrite, after the Kolang meteorite, which fell in North Sumatra, Indonesia, in 2020. All the others are CM2 meteorites. No falls of CM1 meteorites have been recorded.

Clues from Ancient Saline Deposits

Another known primitive type of carbonaceous chondrite is called CI, in which the letter “I” comes from the Ivuna meteorite, which fell in Tanzania in 1938. Pristine samples of this type were returned from the asteroid Ryugu by the Japanese space agency JAXA’s Hayabusa2 mission and from the asteroid Bennu by the U.S. space agency NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission. Numerous signs of exposure to saline fluids located directly beneath the surface of their parent asteroids were found in them.

Zolensky and his colleague Chang-Mi Han identified small, salt-rich CM1 fragments in the Hillsborough meteorite, indicating that they originated from a near-surface region of the parent asteroid where liquid water evaporated and concentrated the salts. They are now working to identify the salt minerals and compare them with similar phases found in samples returned to Earth from the asteroids Ryugu and Bennu.

A high concentration of salt in saline fluids could potentially promote the formation of molecules that are crucial to life on Earth. Saline solutions allow phosphates to remain in solution and may catalyze chemical reactions between organic compounds and precipitated minerals.

“Carbon and nitrogen isotope studies indicate that primitive carbonaceous chondrites, particularly CM types, delivered organic matter to the early Earth,” noted cosmochemist Queenie Chan of Royal Holloway, University of London, England, and biogeochemist Nana Ogawa of the Biogeochemistry Research Center at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. “The Hillsborough meteorite contained 1.8% carbon and 0.07% nitrogen by mass and also had carbon and nitrogen isotopes characteristic of CM meteorites.”

Organic Molecules That Formed Inside the Meteorite

The meteorite contained a wide variety of soluble organic compounds, and the range of its composition confirms that the Hillsborough meteorite experienced greater exposure to water than most other CM meteorites.

“A significant proportion of the compounds formed as a result of interactions between organic matter and minerals,” noted organic mass-spectrometry specialist Philippe Schmitt-Kopplin of the Technical University of Munich. “We do not know whether these organic magnesium compounds formed as a result of chemical reactions with brine or were simply left behind by earlier impact processes associated with the meteorite’s fall.”

In living organisms, organometallic compounds are found in blood and participate in photosynthesis. Among the soluble organic compounds, researchers identified many amino acids similar to those found in CM2 chondrites that experienced a more moderate degree of alteration.

Astrobiologist Danny Glavin of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and his team at Goddard’s Astrobiology Analytical Laboratory concluded that the delivery of amino acids, carboxylic acids, and other soluble organic molecules by CM-type bodies may have contributed to the formation of the prebiotic organic inventory that preceded the emergence of life on Earth. Their analysis indicates that the complex distribution of amino acids observed in the Hillsborough meteorite formed inside the parent body, probably under the influence of chemical processes in brine.

A glowing object streaking across the night sky over Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Tuesday night left many residents and tourists amazed, with some asking online, "Is this a UFO? How did it change shape?"

The spectacle, which appeared around 10:50 pm on Tuesday, was captured by people in multiple locations across Xinjiang including Urumqi, Altay Prefecture and Fuyun county, according to a recent report by the local media outlet Xinjiang Daily.

Videos circulating online showed a bright moving object with a long luminous trail behind it. As it traveled across the sky, the object appeared to change shape - first resembling a giant glowing umbrella before gradually turning into a spiral pattern.

"We were about to head up the mountain when we suddenly noticed something very bright in the sky. There was a glowing 'tail' spreading behind it, and it kept getting larger," a Fuyun resident surnamed Ake, who filmed the scene, told the Xinjiang Daily on Wednesday. "We were so curious that we stopped the car and recorded a video."

Tourist Xiaoya, who witnessed the phenomenon at Kanas scenic area in Burqin county, said the sight was "incredible."

"The sky was still bright at that time. The object changed its shape as it moved, from an umbrella-like form to a spiral one. There were also two loud sounds in the middle of the process. It was amazing," she told the Xinjiang Daily.

The entire display lasted for about a minute, according to photographer Yang Lipeng, who captured the full process in Gangou township of Urumqi county. Based on the object's appearance, Yang suggested it was likely a rocket cloud.

The explanation was later confirmed by experts from the Gaoyazi Observatory in Urumqi's Dabancheng district and aerospace photographers, according to the Xinjiang Daily.

Staff members at the observatory said that based on the shape of the cloud, as well as the time and direction in which it appeared, the phenomenon was caused by a rocket cloud left by Russia's Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket as it passed over Xinjiang.

According to the Russian TASS News Agency, a Russian Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-29 crewed spacecraft and three crew members of the 75th long-term expedition lifted off from the Baikonur spaceport toward the International Space Station (ISS), Russia's State Space Corporation Roscosmos said in a live broadcast on Tuesday.

The rocket's flight path, which was nearly due east, brought it over northern Xinjiang, while the region was located near the boundary between daylight and night, allowing sunlight to illuminate the large amount of water vapor produced by the rocket's exhaust, creating the striking umbrella-shaped cloud effect, the Xinjiang Daily report explained, citing another aerospace photographer Zhou Quan.

"When the rocket's second and third stages separated, the second stage released residual propellant during its disposal process. The released fuel expanded in a spiral pattern, which created the glowing spiral-shaped object seen by people on the ground," Zhou explained.

What appeared to be a mysterious object from outer space was therefore a rare celestial display created by a spacecraft launch - a combination of rocket technology, atmospheric conditions and Xinjiang's unique lighting conditions.

Strange pyramid-shaped triangle craft captured over Jequitinhonha Valley, Brazil

Strange pyramid-shaped triangle craft captured over Jequitinhonha Valley, Brazil

The footage is reportedly said to have been recorded over the Jequitinhonha Valley in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 2009 by an American tourist traveling through the region. According to the claim, it was filmed using a Sony DCR-PJ5 camcorder, a model advertised with 60x optical zoom and 1800x digital zoom.
Pyramid-shaped%20triangle%20craft%20brazil.jpg

However, there is a significant inconsistency: the Sony DCR-PJ5 was introduced in 2011, making it impossible for that specific camera to have recorded footage in 2009. That said, the discrepancy could simply be the result of an incorrectly reported date or a mistaken identification of the camera model. If this is the only error, it does not automatically mean the footage itself is fake.
After carefully examining the video, it appears to show what looks like a genuine triangular-shaped object rather than obvious CGI. The craft seems to have a bright light at each corner and a raised, pyramid-like dome at its center.
Ultimately, there is no way to determine from the footage alone whether the object is a classified human-made aircraft or something of unknown origin. While its appearance is reminiscent of the alleged TR-3B, the design does not appear to match the commonly depicted TR-3B configuration.

Strange Spheres Washed Ashore on an Australian Beach. Authorities Say They’re Probably ‘Space Balls’—Empty Fuel Vessels From a Rocket

Six large, shiny spheres washed up on a beach in northeastern Australia late last week, initially prompting alarm from authorities. An investigation has revealed, however, that the objects are probably debris from a human-made rocket and are safe to be around, according to a social media statement posted on the morning of July 6 by the Australian Space Agency (ASA).

The strange balls began to appear on July 3 on the shore of Forrest Beach in Queensland, and the roughly 1,300 residents of the tiny town were asked to evacuate, report Chloe Chomicki and James Tugwell for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

On July 5, the Queensland Fire Department wrote on social media about the “discovery of several potentially hazardous objects.” Authorities established an exclusion zone, and over the weekend, members of the department collected “a number of the items,” per the statement.

The fire department’s post features pictures of shiny, round, metallic-looking objects, each with two small protrusions at opposite ends. The odd spheres quickly led to humorous chatter among the residents of the little beach town.

“Not much happens here. It’s a pretty quiet, sleepy little place,” says Lisa Scobie, who owns a restaurant near where some of the objects were found, to the New York Times’ Hari Raj. “We’ve had a bit of a laugh about things, there’s been lots of jokes about whether it’s been aliens.”

The jokes especially picked up once the news arrived that the spheres, roughly twice the size of a basketball, were safe, reports the outlet.

“The recovered objects appear to be pressure vessels [that held fuel] from a space launch vehicle. The agency has identified the likely source,” the ASA writes in the statement. “The objects’ location and characteristics are consistent with debris from a foreign rocket body that recently re-entered the atmosphere from orbit. The agency is continuing to engage with international authorities to formally confirm the launch vehicle and launching state.”

In other words, the strange spheres are likely to be space debris, or space junk—human-made stuff in space that has stopped serving its original purpose, science journalist Dan Falk told Ari Daniel on an episode of Smithsonian magazine’s “There’s More to That” podcast last year. Some examples include fragments shed by rockets as they jet from the Earth’s surface, broken bits of satellites and even entire decommissioned spacecraft, Falk said.

The more objects that humans shoot into space, the more space debris that ends up on Earth. Since 2019, the number of working satellites circling our planet has increased from 1,000 to more than 11,000, Jonathan McDowell, an astrophysicist who retired from the Center for Astrophysics, Harvard & Smithsonian, told Falk for Smithsonian magazine last year. As of March 2026, there were more than 14,500 active satellites in orbit, with Elon Musk’s internet company Starlink, part of SpaceX, accounting for more than 9,900.

So why aren’t we seeing space junk raining down on Earth all the time? Much of it burns up in the atmosphere. The International Space Station, for example, will meet its end in this fashion. When the time comes, the station will deorbit and re-enter the atmosphere, where experts anticipate that most of its hardware will burn up or vaporize, according to NASA, and the rest will land in an ocean.

But as Forrest Beach locals have recently witnessed, some of the surviving material can be carried back to land. The pressure vessels that recently washed ashore are “a classic example of what is known as ‘space balls,’” Alice Gorman, a space archaeologist at Flinders University in Australia, tells the ABC.

“Many rockets and spacecraft have liquid fuel systems that involve fuels under high pressure that are in these pressure vessels made of robust material,” she adds. “These parts of the fuel system often survive because their melting points are higher than the temperature coming back through the atmosphere.” After being emptied of fuel, the space balls may have become buoyant, allowing ocean waves to bring them to land.

As time goes on, space junk will likely continue to become a more familiar sight around the world. About 560,000 satellites are expected to orbit Earth by 2040, based on planned launches by Starlink and other companies.

“With 130 million space debris objects orbiting the Earth, it’s never a complete surprise when we hear reports of objects burning up in the atmosphere, or even strange pieces of debris washing up on our shores,” Sara Webb, an astrophysicist at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, tells Iain Todd at BBC Sky at Night Magazine.

“In the last five years,” she adds, “we’ve seen an increase in these events as the increase in launches and objects in space continues to grow.”

Banned book of the Bible reveals chilling prophecy with eerie links to today

Banned book of the Bible reveals chilling prophecy with eerie links to today

An ancient book excluded from the traditional Bible contains what some scholars believe is a chilling warning about the Antichrist.

The Antichrist is a figure in Christian theology believed to be a powerful deceiver who will oppose Jesus Christ and lead many people away from the faith before the end of the world.

The more than 2,200-year-old Book of Enoch describes a mysterious group of powerful rulers known as 'the kings and the mighty,' whom some interpret as representing a corrupt system that will oppose God before the end times rather than a single individual.

The passages appear in the Book of Parables, the second section of the Book of Enoch, spanning Chapters 46 through 63, where the 'Son of Man' judges a class of rulers known as 'the kings and the mighty.'

According to one interpretation, the passage unfolds in four distinct movements, each revealing another layer of the rulers' rise, power and ultimate downfall.

The first introduces the 'kings and the mighty' as wealthy, influential leaders who reject God and persecute the faithful. The second depicts the arrival of the 'Son of Man,' when the rulers realize too late that they have denied God's chosen one.

The third uses mountains of iron, copper, silver and gold melting away to symbolize the collapse of the wealth, power and institutions they trusted.

The final movement culminates in a dramatic judgment scene, where the rulers stand before the 'Son of Man' and discover there is no escape from the consequences of their actions.

Interpretations of the Book of Enoch have suggested it includes four movements of the Antichrist, which will appear as a corrupt system, not a lone person

There are 66 books in the modern Bible across the Old and New Testaments, but more than 70 ancient writings circulated among early Jewish and Christian communities that were never accepted into the canon.

One of the most famous is the Book of Enoch, which expands on fallen angels, giants and one of the earliest accounts of the origins of demons, stories that never made it into the biblical canon, followed by most Christians.

Fragments of the Book of Enoch, written in Aramaic, were discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls in caves at Qumran in the Judaean Desert, confirming the text was circulating centuries before Christianity.

One interpretation linking these passages to the Antichrist was recently discussed on the YouTube channel The Hermon Codex, which focuses on manuscripts omitted from the traditional Bible.

Some scholars have argued that differences between English translations of the Book of Enoch have softened some of its strongest descriptions of the 'kings and the mighty.'

Translations by Michael Knibb and Ephraim Isaac render the passages more literally, describing rulers whose 'power rests upon their riches,' who 'deny the name of the Lord of Spirits' and persecute the faithful.

Biblical scholar George W E Nickelsburg identified the 'kings and the mighty' as corrupt political and religious rulers rather than Satan or the fallen Watchers, leading some interpreters to argue the text portrays the Antichrist not as a single individual but as a recurring pattern of unrighteous power.

The first movement begins in Chapter 46, with Enoch witnessing a heavenly vision of the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man before turning to a class of rulers called 'the kings and the mighty,' whose faces will be filled with shame.

The ancient text tells of fallen angels, giants and one of the earliest accounts of the origins of demons, stories that never made it into the biblical canon followed by most Christians. Authorship is traditionally attributed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah

According to the text, these leaders derive their power from wealth, worship false gods they have created, reject the Lord of Spirits and persecute the faithful, all while behaving as though the Earth belongs to them.

1 Enoch 46:7 reads: 'These are they who judge the stars of heaven, and raise their hands against the Most High, and tread upon the earth and dwell upon it.

'All their deeds manifest unrighteousness, and their power rests upon their riches.

'Their faith is in the gods which they have made with their hands, and they deny the name of the Lord of Spirits, and they persecute the houses of His congregations, and the faithful who hang upon the name of the Lord of Spirits.'

The second movement unfolds in Chapter 48, describing the 'Son of Man' as having been chosen before creation.

The 'kings of the Earth' are warned that on the day of judgment they 'will not save themselves' because they denied 'the Lord of Spirits and his Messiah.'

The third movement unfolds in Chapters 52 and 53, where Enoch is shown six mountains made of iron, copper, silver, gold, soft metal and lead.

According to 1 Enoch 52:6, an angel appears to tell him: 'And all these things which serve those who take lead in this world and cause oppression shall melt like wax before the fire... and become powerless before the feet of the Elect One.'

Many scholars view the imagery as symbolizing the collapse of earthly kingdoms, wealth and human power, while the video's narrator argues it represents the downfall of modern institutions built on riches and political authority.

The fourth and final movement unfolds in Chapters 62 and 63, where the kings and the mighty are gathered on the day of judgment.

1 Enoch 62:3 reads: 'And there shall stand up in that day all the kings and the mighty, and the exalted and those who hold the earth, and they shall see and recognize how he sits on the throne of his glory.'

Then, six verses later, the Book of Enoch says the rulers 'fall down before him on their faces, and worship... and petition him and supplicate for mercy at his hands.'

However, according to the text, their pleas are rejected, leaving them with faces of shame.

God is then said to deliver them to the 'angels for punishment, to execute vengeance on them because they have oppressed His children and His elect.'

Chapter 63 continues with the rulers acknowledging their guilt, with one of the most striking passages reading: 'We have not confessed before him... but we have trusted in the sceptre of our dominion and of our glory.'

And then 1 Enoch 63:10–12 says: 'In the day of our suffering and of our trouble, he will not save us... All our sins are truly without number.'

Many scholars interpret the passage as a warning that human empires built on wealth, pride and oppression may appear invincible but are ultimately temporary, while God's kingdom alone endures.

Future of warfare? Creepy drone spins so fast it disappears before your eyes - and could be used to sneak up on the enemy

The battlefield of the future could feature invisible drones, if the latest model is anything to go by.

Scientists at Northwestern University have designed a drone that spins so fast it disappears before your eyes.

Called the 'Phantom Twist', the drone spins up to 25 times every second, which is too fast for the human eye to see.

While it isn't completely invisible, the drone is about 10 times less visible than a conventional quadcopter.

Its developers describe its appearance as a 'ghostly smudge', claiming it blends 'seamlessly into the background'.

'Most efforts to hide drones focus on making them look like their surroundings,' said Michael Rubenstein, who led the work.

'Instead, we asked whether we could design the drone itself around the way humans perceive motion.

'This idea of low visibility through persistent motion is something few people have explored.'

To come up with the unusual design, the team first used a computer to generate roughly 20,000 different configurations.

Then, using AI, they tested different arrangements of the major components, before coming up with a shortlist of designs.

Mr Rubenstein said: 'The design process was fully automated.

'Then, when we were confident that a drone met all our criteria, we built it.'

While drones typically feature four separate rotors, Phantom Twist has just one motor and one propeller, which spins in one direction.

'For a typical quadrotor drone, the propellers are spinning, but the robot is stationary,' Mr Rubenstein explained.

'So, you still see its body. For our drone, the whole thing is rotating, so there are no stationary parts.'

According to their intitial tests, the drone is about 10 times less visible than standard drones.

While it isn't completely invisible, the drone is about 10 times less visually perceptible than a conventional quadcopter

The Phantom Twist drone… we think

Emma Alexander, who also worked on the project, said: 'The human eye takes time to accumulate signals, roughly analogous to the exposure time of a camera.

'When an object spins quickly, we perceive it as blurring out and losing distinct features.

'Because this new drone is almost entirely transparent, its few opaque components are visually averaged with the background for an overall appearance of a slight haze.'

While it's nearly invisible, the drone still has some limitations.

Notably, you can still see its wires and support rods, while it also makes a loud noise.

However, the researchers hope that the work could eventually lead to drones that can monitor wildlife, survey the environment and inspect infrastructure with less visual disruption.

Invisible drones would also have implications for modern warfare, according to Peter Lee at the University of Portsmouth, who was not involved in the research.

Speaking to New Scientist, he cautioned that there are some 'serious limitations' with the design.

Looking at the drone when it's stationary, you'll notice that it is very sparse – so adding any sensors would make it more visible, he explains.

What's more, adding any weight would affect the centrifugal forces, 'potentially making flight impossible.'

'This style of drone is not manoeuvrable in the way that quadcopters are highly manoeuvrable,' he said.

'So because of the rotation, it won’t be able to bank at steep angles.

'It would slow the speed of the rotation, and therefore it would become more visible and it’s probably getting unstable.'

Unresolved UAP report in the eastern United States, 2020

Unresolved UAP report in the eastern United States, 2020 ILLUSTRATIVE RECONSTRUCTION // NOT EVIDENCE

Overview

An archive site dedicated to unidentified aerial phenomena has published a new entry cataloging an unresolved UAP report from the eastern United States in 2020, identified as DOW-UAP-PR111. The listing, hosted on UAPs.world, is presented as part of an ongoing effort to compile and organize UAP-related evidence, including footage, analysis, and supporting materials. While the page title and archive framework suggest a substantive case file, the publicly visible content in the source material offers limited incident-specific detail, leaving the event itself unresolved and largely contextualized through the site’s broader database structure.

What the Archive Provides

The UAPs.world interface appears designed as a multi-format evidence repository, with tabs for videos, audio, photos, documents, map, time, and AI analysis. The site also links to categories such as UAP archive, Public UAP Field Desk, Declassified UAP videos, UAP documents, UAP analysis, and Official UAP records, indicating that the platform aims to present cases within a larger evidentiary ecosystem rather than as isolated sightings. In the case of DOW-UAP-PR111, the page is labeled as an “Unresolved UAP Report”, suggesting that the material has been reviewed but not conclusively explained.

The archive’s presentation also includes controls for classifying, copying, sharing, and approving or declining leads, which implies a workflow intended for sorting and evaluating sightings. However, the source excerpt does not disclose the actual contents of the footage or analysis tied to this entry. That means the case remains, at least from the public-facing information available here, a documented but unresolved report rather than a verified identification.

DOW-UAP-PR107 - Unresolved UAP Report, Eastern United States, 2020

Why This Case Matters

Even without a detailed narrative of the object’s appearance or behavior, the report underscores how UAP discussions have increasingly shifted toward archiving, categorization, and evidence management. The existence of a labeled case file from 2020 reflects a wider trend: researchers, analysts, and citizen archivists are attempting to preserve raw material before it is lost, misfiled, or dismissed outright. For observers of the UAP field, that matters because many future assessments depend less on dramatic claims and more on whether the underlying documentation remains accessible and reviewable.

The eastern United States location also places the report within a region where air traffic density, military activity, civilian aviation, and weather phenomena can complicate identification. In practice, that makes unresolved cases especially important to document carefully, since a lack of conclusion does not automatically mean a extraordinary explanation; it may simply indicate insufficient data. The archive’s framing appears to acknowledge that distinction by preserving the report without assigning a definitive interpretation.

Context and Caution

At the same time, the available source material does not provide enough detail to independently assess the sighting, verify the footage, or determine what, if anything, was observed. No location coordinates, witness statements, timestamps, or analytical conclusions are visible in the excerpt. As a result, any characterization of the event beyond “unresolved” would be speculative. The strongest factual takeaway is that UAPs.world is using this entry as part of a systematic evidence compilation, with an emphasis on public access and structured review.

Broader Significance

The publication of cases like DOW-UAP-PR111 reflects how the modern UAP conversation is increasingly shaped by archives rather than anecdotes alone. By cataloging unresolved incidents from prior years, platforms like UAPs.world are helping build a record that can be revisited as analytical methods improve or new corroborating evidence emerges. For now, this 2020 eastern U.S. report remains exactly what the title says it is: a documented UAP case that has not yet been explained.

Michael Sheen stars in comedy about UFOs after claiming he saw one over hometown

Michael Sheen stars in comedy about UFOs after claiming he saw one over hometown

Out There A man with long, curly grey hair and facial hair, staring into a cupboard full of jars. A young man and young woman, both brunette, are stood behind him, also leaning down to look at what he is looking at. They have puzzled looks on their faces.

Michael Sheen grew up in Port Talbot, which he says is "very UFO-y"

Michael Sheen is set to star in a Welsh comedy film about a UFO sighting - after sharing his own encounter with "a phalanx of lights" in his hometown.

Out There celebrates the "secret extraterrestrial history" of west Wales through the tale of a rebellious 16-year-old astronomy enthusiast who spots a UFO over her sleepy seaside town and ropes in her sceptical best friend and an eccentric ufologist - played by Sheen - to uncover the truth.

It will premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival In August, and features a host of Welsh actors.

Sheen has previously spoken about a series of spooky experiences in Port Talbot, south Wales, which convinced him the town was "very UFO-y".

When Sheen returned to the area with his family in 1977, having lived for a while in Liverpool, he was told that his neighbour had seen "a UFO hovering over her back garden".

"I got told this, at the age of eight, about this woman who lived next door who was clearly very sensible, so I totally believed this," he told the Scarred For Life podcast in 2025.

Then, at 12 years old, after getting off the school bus, he recalled seeing "something coming round the edge of the mountain, in the distance".

"I stopped, and this light came out and then two lights behind it, and then three lights behind. A sort of phalanx of lights coming from behind the mountain and floating out over the sea," he said.

"As I'm standing there, I'm thinking, those are UFOs. I'm fairly certain those are UFOs.

"But I knew if I went in [to the house], they might disappear, so I just stood there transfixed and I watched them come all out, all over the ocean, and then they stopped, and then they all disappeared.

"No-one believed me, obviously.

"I have since heard that other people have seen things in Port Talbot, so I think there's some sort of thing going on there."

Out There is the debut feature film from director Simon Ryninks, who said the film "couldn't ever be set anywhere else" but Wales.

"After my mum passed away, I found myself returning frequently to west Wales, where our family is from," he told BBC Wales.

"I wanted to set something in that landscape as a way of reconnecting with her and to write about grief with humour and a lightness of touch."

It is produced by Tibo Travers of Sweetdoh Films and Katie Dolan of Bad Cat and stars Welsh actor Nerys Amber Stocks as main character Maz, who becomes convinced that the mysterious UFO sighting holds the key to her father's disappearance.

Out There is the debut feature film from director Simon Ryninks (front left) who had dreamed of setting a project in west Wales - his favourite place in the world

Ryninks added that learning about UFO sightings in west Wales in the 1970s also inspired the project.

"I loved the idea that this quiet, unassuming place had this secret extraterrestrial history and suddenly a landscape that felt deeply personal also had this strange cosmic grandeur and an innate sense of people longing for the unknown," he said.

"I think there's a particular openness in Welsh culture to mystery, magic and folklore, and the film sort of became a joyous celebration of that in a lot of ways."

Ryninks said he had "always wanted to set a film on the Ceredigion coast as it's my favourite place in the world".

"For practical reasons, our main shoot took place around Bridgend, Nelson and Porthcawl, closer to where most of our cast and crew are based - and offered brilliant locations.

"But we also did some filming in Ceredigion, and that was when the film really began to feel like the one I'd carried in my head for seven years," he said.

Out There A brunette man in a white shirt, black tie and white lab coat looking up at a light which is shining on him.

Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon is among the "exciting ensemble" of predominantly Welsh cast members

Typical unreliable Welsh weather was a major challenge for the cast and crew, who shot the film in October.

"We became convinced we were going to be completely rained off and were obsessively checking multiple weather apps and choosing whichever forecast frightened us least," said Ryninks.

"Every day of pre-production it rained... then, when we started shooting, it barely rained at all, which felt miraculous.

"It was unseasonably dry, so I can only assume we have the aliens and their advanced weather-control technology to thank for that."

The feel-good film about belief, finding meaning and coming to terms with loss also stars an array of other Welsh actors, including Tom Moya as co-lead, as well as Dunkirk's Aneurin Barnard and Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon.

"It was very important to me that the casting felt authentic," said Ryninks.

He added the casting directors "worked tirelessly to bring an exciting ensemble together that was almost entirely Welsh".

He admitted that Sheen's character, Shifty Gruff, was written with him in mind.

"It was a total long shot, but, like a UFO believer, I held on to the possibility of making contact," he said.

"To have all these actors in my debut feature was out of this world."

DR PHIL: I've reviewed hundreds of secret government UFO videos and files that have been actively hidden from the public... what I can now reveal about non-human life and this psyop cover-up could spark a national crisis

DR PHIL: I've reviewed hundreds of secret government UFO videos and files that have been actively hidden from the public... what I can now reveal about non-human life and this psyop cover-up could spark a national crisis

Are we humans alone on Earth, or are there intelligent beings, not of this planet, who are or have been living among us? If so, what does this mean for our value system? Is 'human exceptionalism' – the belief that we're separate from and morally superior to the rest of nature – obsolete, and with it our claim to dominion over the universe?

Would the confirmation of non-human life change our concept of and relationship with God? Where do we go for straight answers to these uniquely consequential questions? That, unfortunately, is not entirely clear. But Americans want and deserve to know the facts.

I have reviewed hundreds of videos, photographs and documents dating back to 1947 and can confirm that the US government has known for decades that unidentified objects fly through our skies – that humankind may not be alone in the universe. This data was actively hidden and intentionally distorted from the American public for decades. Which means disclosing the greatest revelation in human history may also mean disclosing the greatest-ever cover-up by the American government.

The overriding question is... why?

After decades of helping people work through the most challenging psycho-social moments of their lives, I've learned that humans are resilient. Most of us find ways to deal with the truth without 'Big Brother' government doing their thinking for them.

Of course, the truth can hurt. It can be scary and even destabilizing, but it rarely breaks us.

What can cause lasting damage, however, is discovering that those we trusted deliberately hid the truth because they decided we couldn't handle it. That isn't protection, it's paternalism and condescension.

Documents recently disclosed by the Trump Administration revealed that the United States government dedicated massive resources – military, FBI, CIA, the Department of Energy – to investigating unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), while publicly denying these efforts.

A review of documents dating back to 1947 reveals that the US government has known for decades that unidentified objects fly through our skies–that humankind may not be alone in the universe (Pictured: Alleged image of an unidentified aerial phenomenon)

On February 19, President Trump order the disclosure of any and all information on alien life held by the government

Remember: The government may be an institution, but it's filled with people just like you and me. And ultimately, those people work for us!

Should we as citizens be privy to everything elected officials know and do? Of course, not. But that's not what we're talking about here.

For nearly 80 years, the public messaging around unidentified celestial objects was remarkably consistent: Nothing to see. Weather balloons, misidentified aircraft or just a hysterical public were the logical explanations. Meanwhile, numerous governmental agencies were covertly dedicating massive resources to investigating unexplainable phenomena.

Governments rarely devote vast quantities of time, money and brainpower to subjects they genuinely believe are meaningless. But in the case of UAPs, the government didn't merely hide their activities, they created an entirely alternative reality to obscure them.

Here's the paper trail:

-1947: Lieutenant General Nathan Twining advised the Army Air Forces that UAPs were 'something real and not visionary or fictitious.' For three decades, the military denied his study had ever existed.

-1949: Manhattan Project scientists convened a classified conference to deal with unidentified objects clustering over Los Alamos and America's nuclear weapons sites.

-1953: A group of CIA officers known as the Robertson Panel recommended a public education campaign to publicize UAP cases that had already been debunked, and say nothing about those that hadn't.

-1953: JANAP 146, a new military regulation was enacted making it a criminal offense for military personnel and commercial airline pilots to discuss UAP sightings beyond official channels. The penalty: Up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

-1960: JANAP 146E rewrote the earlier rule to fall under the Espionage Act, the same law used to prosecute spies. The goal was to keep retired officers silent.

For decades, our government aggressively investigated UAPs while simultaneously building a legal structure to ensure their actions were kept under wraps. Along the way, they often allowed the explainable to come to light while suppressing the unexplainable.

Take Project Blue Book, also known as the Public UFO Program, which the Air Force shut down in 1969. That year, Air Force officials wrote an internal memo (later pried loose under the Freedom of Information Act) admitting that UFO reports relating to national security weren't part of Blue Book at all. They went through a separate and unnamed channel.

This meant that easily explainable occurrences like weather balloons or misidentified planes faced public scrutiny.

But anything that really mattered, such as a 2004 encounter between a UAP and pilots belonging to the USS Nimitz or a glowing object sighted near a Minuteman Nuclear Base in Montana in 1967, was quietly moved beyond the public domain.

Explain the easy stuff, so the hard stuff is never even considered.

Why the two-tiered system? Was it just about national security, as some claim? I don't think so.

The physicist Richard Feynman put it best: 'I would rather have questions that can't be answered than answers that can't be questioned.'

This is not the first time our government has relied on manipulative disinformation techniques. During World War I, the folks in Washington created the Committee on Public Information, a large-scale propaganda operation that used newspapers, movies and public figures to build support for a war Americans were reluctant to enter.

Among other things, that Committee spread stories of unspeakable atrocities by our enemies, stories they knew were untrue. This helped change public opinion in favor of battle.

Decades later, government documents concerning UAPs describe something similar. Officials organized public debunking to deflect interest from all thing extraterrestrial.

That Robertson Panel, for instance, recommended leaning on mass media and trusted messengers to strip UFOs of their 'aura of mystery.' In 1966, Walter Cronkite, the most trusted newsman in America, hosted a UFO special on CBS – deploying the government's own manipulative framework to encourage public skepticism rather than curiosity. A Robertson Panel scientist later claimed credit for shaping the CBS special. Whether Cronkite knew is an open question.

In 1966, Walter Cronkite, the most trusted newsman in America, hosted his own UFO special on CBS

In 1966, Walter Cronkite, the most trusted newsman in America, hosted his own UFO special on CBS

Some 60 years on, there is little doubt that the government sought to limit what could be said publicly about unexplained cases. But the most successful deception wasn't convincing Americans that UAPs didn't exist. It was convincing respectable Americans that asking about them was socially disqualifying or, in today's vernacular, cancelable.

Psychologists understand something governments have also long understood. Human beings rarely make decisions based solely on evidence. We base them on belonging or conformity. If enough trusted voices tell us a subject is ridiculous, most people will stop examining it. Ridicule allows us to dismiss notions without thoroughly scrutinizing them.

Done deliberately, creating that psychological discomfort is a form of mental-emotional manipulation – a psychological operation, or psyop, as it's called. And when it came to UAPs, psyops are exactly what's been going on for decades.

That's why stigma is so powerful. It doesn't silence people–it teaches them to silence themselves. Eventually, the government can step back and allow society to manage the conversation for them.

But Americans can handle hard truths. What is far harder to handle is learning that trusted sources are doing our thinking for us. Because even the smallest lie can destroy the greatest trust. And the conspiracy to obscure where humanity stands in the hierarchy of this vast universe is no small lie at all.

After a Billion Kilometres, China's Asteroid Hunter Finally Arrives

What does it take to catch up with a small, tumbling rock hundreds of thousands of kilometres from Earth? For China's Tianwen-2 mission, the answer was a four hundred day chase covering roughly a billion kilometres of deep space, one that has just ended in success. The China National Space Administration has confirmed that the probe has rendezvoused with the near Earth asteroid Kamoʻoalewa, also known as 2016 HO3, closing to within about twenty kilometres and officially beginning its scientific exploration phase.

Tianwen-2 launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province back in May 2025, and the journey since has been a careful sequence of small corrections rather than one long straight line. Along the way, the spacecraft carried out deep space trajectory adjustments and mid course manoeuvres, gradually refining its path toward a target that, until recently, was known with surprisingly little precision.

Ground based observations alone had only pinned down the asteroid's position to within about a hundred kilometres, a comfortable margin from Earth but a serious problem when trying to actually meet something out there. The turning point came in early June, when Tianwen-2 first detected 2016 HO3 with its own instruments. A day later, at a distance of some thirty thousand kilometres, it performed a capture control manoeuvre, settling into coplanar flight alongside the asteroid, essentially matching its orbital path rather than simply crossing it. By 19 June, the gap had closed to two thousand kilometres, and the spacecraft continued tightening its approach from there.

Throughout this final stretch, Tianwen-2 captured its own optical imaging data of the asteroid, and mission engineers used it to dramatically sharpen their knowledge of exactly where 2016 HO3 sits in space, bringing the uncertainty down from that original hundred kilometre spread to something closer to a single kilometre. That refined positional data has already been made public through China's Lunar and Planetary Data Release System.

With the rendezvous complete, the real scientific work can now begin. Over the coming phase, Tianwen-2 will study the asteroid's surface features, its material composition, and clues to what lies beneath that surface, building toward the mission's ultimate goal of collecting a physical sample and eventually returning it to Earth.

Kamoʻoalewa is an intriguing target in its own right, a small companion that shares Earth's orbital neighbourhood closely enough to be labelled a quasi satellite, and one some scientists suspect may even be a fragment blasted off the Moon long ago. Whatever Tianwen-2 finds in the months ahead, it will mark the next chapter in an increasingly crowded field of nations reaching out to touch, sample, and understand the small rocky wanderers of our Solar System.

Ancient book banned from the Bible fuels theory of fallen angels imprisoned beneath Antarctica

Ancient book banned from the Bible fuels theory of fallen angels imprisoned beneath Antarctica

By STACY LIBERATORE, US SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY EDITOR

A mysterious book excluded from most versions of the Bible is fueling a theory that it describes a prison beneath Antarctica where fallen angels are imprisoned.

Known as the Book of Enoch, the ancient text tells of fallen angels, giants and one of the earliest accounts of the origins of demons, stories that never made it into the biblical canon followed by most Christians. Authorship is traditionally attributed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah.

Although the manuscript survived for centuries in Ethiopia before becoming known to Western scholars in the late 18th century, one of its most unsettling visions has recently resurfaced on social media, where users argue it points to a hidden prison beneath the Antarctic ice.

Supporters of the theory cite passages describing imprisoned heavenly beings awaiting God's final judgment, along with references to the 'ends of the earth,' sealed 'chambers of cold' and burning mountains.

They claim the descriptions align with East Antarctica, its network of subglacial lakes and the buried Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains, a vast range concealed beneath up to two miles of ice.

Between 2007 and 2009, an international research team used airborne radar and other geophysical instruments to map the Gamburtsev Mountains, revealing peaks hidden beneath the ice sheet.

While proponents say the similarities are too striking to dismiss, mainstream biblical scholars generally interpret the passages as symbolic descriptions of a supernatural realm rather than a literal location on Earth.

There are 66 books in the modern Bible across the Old and New Testaments, but more than 70 ancient writings circulated among early Jewish and Christian communities that were never accepted into the canon.

One of the most famous is the Book of Enoch, which expands on the mysterious Nephilim, giants mentioned only briefly in the Old Testament.

According to the text, 200 angels known as the Watchers abandoned their duties, took human wives and fathered the Nephilim, violent giants that devoured humanity's resources while teaching humans forbidden knowledge.

God commands the archangels to bind the Watchers in chains and imprison them in a fiery abyss called Tartarus until the final judgment, while the Nephilim perish in the Flood.

The YouTube video argues these passages have survived virtually unchanged across Ge'ez, Aramaic and Greek manuscripts, claiming their consistency suggests the prison was intended to describe a real place rather than a symbolic vision.

The video points to 1 Enoch 18:12–16, in which Enoch is taken to the 'end of heaven and earth' and shown seven imprisoned stars.

The angel Uriel tells Enoch they are heavenly beings who 'transgressed the commandment of the Lord' and will remain bound for 10,000 years until the day of judgment, adding that the prison was sealed before the Flood.

Supporters of the Antarctica theory argue the 'end of heaven and earth' refers to Earth's southernmost point, claiming Enoch's journey leads directly to East Antarctica.

The theory further points to Enoch's description of seven mountains surrounding the prison, claiming they resemble the buried Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains

They also cite Enoch's descriptions of sealed 'chambers of cold' and storehouses of snow and frost, which they believe correspond to Antarctica's vast ice sheet and hundreds of subglacial lakes, including Lake Vostok.

The theory further points to Enoch's description of seven mountains surrounding the prison, claiming they resemble the buried Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains.

A 2014 study found that despite being 500 million years old, the buried mountains show almost no signs of weathering.

Another passage describing a place with 'no heaven above,' 'no firmly founded earth beneath,' 'no water' and 'no birds' is interpreted by supporters as a sealed chamber beneath the Antarctic ice.

The theory also points to what it describes as a fourth clue, claiming Chapter 18 refers to 'voices' coming from the abyss, linking the passage to two unexplained radio signals detected by NASA's Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) experiment in 2006 and 2014 that appeared to emerge from beneath the Antarctic ice.

Scientists have proposed several possible explanations for the anomalous events, including unusual cosmic-ray interactions or other unknown physical processes, but no consensus has been reached.

The video's creator argues that the unexplained detections, combined with Enoch's descriptions, amount to four separate 'markers' that all converge on the same region of East Antarctica.

However, the Book of Enoch does not explicitly mention Antarctica or radio waves, and mainstream scholars do not interpret the passages as describing a physical location beneath the ice.

MUFON CO-FOUNDER JOHN SCHUESSLER HAS PASSED AWAY ON July 11, 2026,

MUFON CO-FOUNDER JOHN SCHUESSLER HAS PASSED AWAY ON July 11, 2026,

Back in the days when M.U.F.O.N. stood for Midwest UFO Network, John Schuessler was there. In 1969, along with Walt Andrus, John, an aerospace engineer with an interest in Unidentified Flying Objects, formed what is now the biggest and best UFO Organization in the world – The Mutual UFO Network!

On July 11, 2026, John F. Schuessler, our International Director Emeritus, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. He actively served MUFON with over 53 years of dedicated service using the scientific method to unravel the UFO mystery.

John wrote innumerable scientifically based articles for the MUFON Journal and other publications for decades. One of his many famous cases is The Cash-Landrum Affair in December of 1980 when two women and a boy in a car spied a diamond shaped object being trailed by military helicopters. The women suffered radiation sickness afterwards and even sued the United States Government unsuccessfully.

In our MUFON Project Aquarius Library, John has over 77 pages of documentation on this famous case. The record also shows that John had even visited the witnesses in the hospital to see how they were doing and progressing with their treatment! Compassion and scientific inquiry at their finest! He later co-authored a book with a foreword by famous Ufologist Bob Pratt entitled “The Cash-Landrum UFO Incident”.

John also appeared in several TV programs and is listed in the IMDB.COM database. According to IMDB, John F. Schuessler is known for Unsolved Mysteries (1987), Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs (2005) and Enquête sur les OVNIs (2004).

To say good-bye to a legend is always tough, especially when it is one of our founders! We are moving into a new generation at MUFON with new technology, new ideas and an era that is beginning to see government disclosure. We never would have arrived where we are today without scientists like John. We will miss him dearly, but we must continue the journey until we have an answer! This is the best way to honor John Schuessler and his legacy. God speed John, you will be greatly missed by all whose lives you have touched.

Hey all, I found this last night when I was searching this new Mars map. The is really good, however NASA used a smoothing program over it before releasing it. Even the sharp crater edges miles high are smoothed down to make it look only a few meters high. So I took a screenshot and added some focus and contrast manually, no ai used. And this is it, and I can confirm its an alien spaceship. I don't agree with the NASA measurement that says its 15-20km long, I think its closer to 2-3km long at the most. Still, did you notice the windows of this craft? Did you see the back hull area and the lower wing area that has perfect symmetry? With such detail its hard to debunk this one. This ship could carry thousands of people to other planets...if we could get it up and flying again. Who needs Elon Musk and SpaceX when abandoned alien spaceships as big as cities exist on Mars?
