This alien statue on top of a hill was found by Streetcap1 of Youtube this week. It has a rectangle head, and a hat or ears that flop over like a rabbit or stocking cap. Clearly has signs of intelligent design. 

Also he found a structure on top of a hill in another photo. The roof of the structure is turned diagonal so debris and sand will fall off easily. Also is a large open window ware below the roof. Absolute evidence that aliens once thrived on Mars.

Did Someone Photograph A Half Human—Half Animal ‘Monster’ In Argentina?

What on Earth have people spotted walking on the streets of Santa Fe, in Argentina?

A bizarre creature, described as half human and half animal has been photographed in the South American country, sending the internet into a frenzy.

People who spotted the mysterious creature say that it couldn’t be identified, as it mauled two dogs, creating panic among the inhabitants of Totoras, Santa Fe.

The photograph, taken at night, and is somewhat blurred, has circulated on social networks to warn about the danger the mysterious creature represents.

In an audio broadcast, it is detailed that the ‘monster’ killed a pit bull and a German shepherd who confronted the unidentified monster.

Reports indicate that soon after it disappeared.

Obviously, the image didn’t take long to go viral, triggering many rumors and theories.

There are even those who compare it with the Demogorgon, the monster of the popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’.

Others have compared the massive creature to illustrations of werewolves of the Harry Potter Saga.

“Here in the Philippine it is called ASWANG a man transforms into a monster dog it is a demon it can even shift into a cat or a big bird,” wrote some users on social networks, while others compared it to mythical creature like the Chupacabra—a blood-sucking animal which, according to folklore, feasts on livestock.

It seems that for now, we can only explain the creature using fictitious representations, but does that mean it’s a hoax?

Well, not necessarily but the image is a fake.

As it turns out, it’s a fake, and a bad one at that.

The original image (drawing) was taken from the internet (it is from Harry Potter) and fused into another image. Adding a bit color, adjusting shadows and BAM! You got yourself a mystery.

Now, all the artist had to do was remove the background and implement the alleged ‘monster’ into the picture.

And there you have it a perfect recipe served for an image and news article that quickly spread among Argentinian news outlets and made its way around the world.

So, don’t worry, the creature isn’t real, it’s just one of the many hoaxed images that quickly go viral due to their nature, and mystery surrounding them.

‘Secret’ Map Shows ‘Flight Path Of UFO That Crashed in The Welsh Mountains’

One of the most famous UFO stories can be traced back to the Welsh mountainside.

Knowns popularly as the Welsh Roswell, the UFO sightingoccurred in 1974 in the Berwyn Mountains.

On January 23, 1974, on the Berwyn Mountains in Llandrillo, Merionethshire, Wales, lights and noises were observed by locals which people couldn’t explain.

According to scientific evidence, the event was generated by an earthquake combined with sightings of a bright meteor widely observed over Wales and northern England at the time.

However, not many were convinced by those explanations. UFOlogists at the time claimed how a UFO had crashed in the mountainside, and the British Government covered up the military’s recovery of a crashed spaceship.

During the UFO sighting, the Institute of Geological Sciences reported that a magnitude 3.5 earthquake was felt at 8:38 p.m. over a wide area of northern Wales and as far as Liverpool, England.

But despite talks of meteors and earthquakes, people were convinced they had witnessed an unidentified flying object in the sky, and according to former Ministry of Defense employee and UFO investigator Nick Pope, the UFO wreckage was likely taken to RAF Rudloe Manor.

Now, nearly half a decade later, a mysterious map has surfaced, which allegedly shows the flightpath of the mysterious UFO that crashed into the Welsh mountainside, and UFO Researcher Russ Kellet has gone public with it.

According to Kellet, the map was given to him by witnesses of the UFO incident, and it clearly shows the path of the UFO before it crashed.

As noted by Metro, one of the witnesses claims to have seen an object on the hillside and ‘Saw bright red light, like coal fire red. Large perfect circle. Like a big bonfire.’

But despite many people claiming to have seen UFO’s in the sky, Sceptics argue that both the noise and the activity that followed were caused by earthquakes and meteors.

However, Kellet claims that five witnesses gave him the map which features red dots where the incident is said to have occurred, with black dotted lines leading to the dot from the west show the alleged path of RAF jets and UFO, reports Metro.

“The five saw a strange object and got out to have a look, but the military were there and told them to leave,’ Mr. Kellett said. They moved to a better position and started to take photos. They were all friends and four were in the military during World War Two. Afterward, they started doing their own research and the map is a result of what they found out and shows the flight paths.”

“It was very strange and I was a little bit spooked. I’ve carried the map around for a long time as part of my research. I’m getting older now and just wanted to put it out there to see what people make of it and if there was anybody else who could shed light on what happened,” concluded Kellet.

UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS – THE REALITY, THE COVER-UP AND THE TRUTH

Unidentified Flying Objects, or UFOs as they are commonly known, have been witnessed by millions of people all over the world and have been recorded in history books, myths, legends and traditions for thousands of years. However, many accounts that are recorded in ancient texts are dismissed as mere myths and legends, while UFO sightings that have taken place in the last few centuries have been classified as misinterpretations of natural phenomena, illusions, or conspiracy theories.

History has shown us time and again that a plethora of so-called ‘myths’ have their basis in reality. It is possible, and indeed likely, that stories and legends were a way for people to explain real—and perhaps perplexing—events using the knowledge and beliefs of their time. In support of this theory, a number of events described in mythology, which were once considered mere fairy tales, have now been proven through archaeology to have existed. A famous example is the city Troy, which is central to Homer’s ‘The Iliad’. Long considered to be a city of myth, Heinrich Schliemann’s discovery of the actual site in 1868 elevated it to a place in history. Nevertheless, the remainder of The Iliad is still viewed as a myth and fantasy without any serious attempts being made to investigate whether or not there may be more truth behind the tale.  The same goes for many accounts of ‘flying machines’, which we find reference to in countless mythologies from numerous different cultures around the world.

Many cultures contain pictorial and written records of ‘flying machines’, yet these are usually dismissed as myth and legend.

It is common to see people selectively decide what is real and what is not and all of this on the unsubstantiated assumption that ancient people were primitive and had little to no knowledge compared to us today. On the contrary, many ancient civilizations, like the Sumerians, Indus Valley, and Egyptians existed with complex social structures, legal systems, art, astronomy, mathematics, and technology, some of which is still not fully understood today. The Antikythera Mechanism, for example, is a 2,200-year-old mechanical device that is still not completely understood despite decades of research by top scientists around the world.

Ancient Astronaut Theory

The topic of flying objects and supernatural beings from out of our world is one in which we find multiple references in mythologies.  All of these myths and legends, along with archaeological evidence such as rock art depictions, have created a wave of theories that gave birth to the ‘Ancient Astronaut’ perspective, which links all of these ancient references and depictions to UFOs, and posits that extra-terrestrials visited Earth and made contact with humans in antiquity and prehistory, influencing the development of human cultures, technologies, and religions.

Unfortunately, there are numerous charlatans who have tried to ‘cash in’ on this movement for profit or publicity, or who have diminished it with caricatures of little green men, resulting in the ancient astronaut perspective being widely criticized and attacked for its lack of credibility. Consequently, what is in fact a plausible and possible explanation for what we see in ancient art and texts, is now rarely examined by scholars, who fear being ridiculed or having their professional career seriously undermined.

UFO sightings in recent history

But let’s leave the ancient past for a while and examine just the last 80 years of human history. Millions of people all over the globe have witnessed unidentified flying objects. Many have been recorded in detailed reports witnessed by police, pilots, astronauts, government officials, pilots, military personnel and, of course, ordinary citizens. Some of the more well-known cases were witnessed by thousands of people at one time. Historical records make it evident that UFO appearances magnified during and after World War II, including the example of the famous ‘Foo Fighters’.

While most sightings can be explained either by celestial phenomena, airplanes, planets, weather phenomena, military exercises, or in some cases drug use or mental instability, there still exists a small percentage that cannot be accounted for by any of these explanations. This is what makes the phenomena important and not to be ignored, particularly considering that sightings are frequently reported around military bases and airfields and are therefore, at the very least, a matter of both national security and air safety.

It is an undeniable fact that there are cases of unidentified objects in our skies. It has been acknowledged by the major governments from all over the world simply through the very fact that official research has been conducted on the matter in the US, UK, Russia, Europe, China, South America, and many others. All of this research, in every single case, concluded that there is a percentage of phenomena that cannot be explained.

In the past decade, many countries have declassified their UFO research files, releasing thousands of documents through the Freedom of Information Act and making numerous UFO cases available in the public domain. One recently released document from the UFO files in Britain, revealed how Churchill, concerned about the UFO issue, ordered a shutdown of information for at least 50 years to prevent mass panic and the potential to undermine religious beliefs. The document in question was also published on the BBC news site in 2010.

By doing careful research on the topic, passing over obvious scam and fake stories, it is clear to see that unidentified flying objects do exist. So the question is not whether they exist or not, but rather, what are they? Are they of terrestrial or extra-terrestrial origin? And what is their purpose?

UFOs and the limits of science

Many prominent scientists have already stated that other civilizations must exist in the Universe, and that it would be statistically impossible for this not to be the case. However, with our knowledge of science and technology today, we cannot yet support the means for  interstellar travel, and since we have not discovered intelligent life in our solar system, the assumption is made that there must be no way that extra-terrestrials could have travelled to Earth. However, this argument is of course flawed because it is based within the framework of our own understanding of the universe, and does not take into account the capabilities of civilizations that may be millions of years ahead of our own.  It also hinges on the following assumptions:

1. We know everything about physics and reality and therefore there is no way that such distant travel can be achieved.
2. We are using our means to try to contact other civilizations (e.g. SETI’s attempts to pick up radio or communication signals) and since we don’t perceive any signals of OUR type, nothing must exist.
3. We are looking for organic forms of life exactly like us and for planets with the exact same conditions as ours.

It is clear that these arguments show the arrogance of mankind, a mankind that may just be an infant in the Universe. And this is not new. During the history of humanity, in every single period of time, we believed that we knew the truth, only to have it replaced later on by new ‘knowledge’.

Quantum physics, still a relatively new and unexplored field in Science, has shown that reality could be completely different to what we believe it to be. Powerful telescopes have shown distant planets in solar systems that could possibly sustain life. Theories of wormholes and warp drives have shown that at a theoretical level we could achieve interstellar travel. Yes, we would require incredible amounts of energy to even think of trying to achieve something like this, so according to our standards today it is impossible to achieve, but in theory it can be achieved.

Recent research concerning the origin of life on Earth suggests that the physical and chemical processes leading to the origin of life occur rapidly in the early history of the majority of planets within our Milky Way galaxy–perhaps as many as a million–are inhabited by technical civilizations in advance of our own. Interstellar space flight is far beyond our present technical capabilities, but there seems to be no fundamental physical objections to preclude, from our own vantage point, the possibility of its development by other civilizations.”

Reluctance to engage with the UFO subject

The reason that the scientific community is not dealing seriously with UFOs is because the topic has been extensively ridiculed both by the media and in academic circles, with false information spread everywhere.  For similar reasons, military personnel, astronauts, pilots, and other categories of professionals do not want to talk because, either they have been forced to sign confidentiality agreements, or because of fear that their careers would be destroyed. This is why we have seen many examples of ‘death bed confessions’.

One such case was with astronaut Gordon Cooper, who told the world about his experience encountering a UFO during his flight in the Mercury capsule in 1963. Before he died he stated: “for many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists in astronautics. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us”.

While great efforts have been made to ridicule and disparage anyone who lends support to the existence of UFOs, the fact remains that there are numerous high-profile cases that are supported by solid evidence, and which should not be dismissed.

Below I present a very limited list constituting strong evidence for the existence of unidentified flying objects in the last 60 years.

1. November 1942 – LA Incident, known as the Battle of LosAngeles

It all happened in the early hours of February 25 in 1942. An aircraft flew over LA County that sparked an air raid alert (it was in the midst of WWII). Searchlights and guns were locked onto the aircraft for about an hour. The picture below appeared in the LA Times in a story about the Battle of LA It clearly shows a night time defensive response to an air raid. The aircraft was not hostile and obviously was not damaged by the attack. The Government stated that the craft they were shooting at was unidentified.

2. December 1980 – Rendlesham Forest Incident, Suffolk UK

This incident involved a group of American servicemen stationed at a military base in Suffolk that contained a storage centre with nuclear weapons.  There had been three consecutive night of sighting objects in the sky over the base, in some cases shining a light down upon the nuclear weapons storage. On the third night, approximately two dozen servicemen were sent into the forest to investigate one set of mysterious lights. The men reported seeing a spacecraft on the ground in close proximity to them and three extra-terrestrial beings. One serviceman claimed to have touched the craft.  The whole incident was filmed and photographed by one of the servicemen, but all photos and videos were removed by the US military. When the British Government released the UFO files, the Rendlesham incident papers were missing – as reported on BBC.

3. NOVEMBER 1986, JAPAN AIR LINES FLIGHT 1628 OVER ALASKA

In November, 1986, a Japanese crew of a jumbo freighter aircraft witnessed three enormous unidentified objects while flying over Alaska, USA. This sighting gained international attention when the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it was going to officially investigate this sighting because the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Anchorage, Alaska, had reported that the UFO had been detected on radar. The UFOs in this case were tracked on both ground and airborne radar, witnessed by experienced airline pilots, and confirmed by a FAA Division Chief.

4. APRIL 1990 – BELGIUM UFO WAVE, PETIT RECHAIN BELGIUM

The Belgium UFO wave began in November 1989. The events of 29 November would be documented by no less than thirty different groups of witnesses, and three separate groups of police officers. All of the reports related to a large object flying at low altitude. The craft was of a flat, triangular shape, with lights underneath. This giant craft did not make a sound as it slowly moved across the landscape of Belgium. The Belgium UFO wave peaked with events on the night of 30/31 March 1990. On that night, unknown objects were tracked on radar, chased by two Belgian Air Force F16s, photographed, and were sighted by an estimated 13,500 people on the ground – 2,600 of whom filed written statements describing in detail what they had seen. Following the incident, the Belgian air force released a report detailing the events of that night.

5. MARCH 1997 – PHOENIX LIGHTS, ARIZONA, US

The Phoenix Lights (also identified as “Lights over Phoenix”) was a UFO sighting which occurred in Phoenix, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico on Thursday, March 13, 1997. Lights of varying descriptions were seen by thousands of people between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles (480 km), from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson. Witnesses claim to have observed a huge square-shaped UFO, containing five spherical lights or possibly light-emitting engines. Fife Symington, the governor at the time, was one witness to this incident; he later called the object “otherworldly.”

6. OCTOBER 2004 – OSAKA AIRPORT, JAPAN

On the night of August 30, a cluster of multi-colored lights was seen floating in the sky above Osaka. Several people reported to Twitter that they saw a group of lights forming a triangular shape and flashing green, red and white in the night sky above Izumi city in Osaka Prefecture. The sightings caused a commotion on Twitter after one user wrote: “Everyone in Osaka, go outside! There’s a UFO!” prompting others to grab their cameras and snap up photos of mysterious luminous object.

7. NOVEMBER 2006, O-HARE AIRPORT, USA

At approximately 16:15 CST on Tuesday November 7, 2006, federal authorities at Chicago O’Hare International Airport received a report that a group of twelve airport employees were witnessing a metallic, saucer-shaped craft hovering over Gate C-17.

The object was first spotted by a ramp employee who was pushing back United Airlines Flight 446, which was departing Chicago for Charlotte, North Carolina. The employee apprised Flight 446’s crew of the object above their aircraft. It is believed that both the pilot and co-pilot also witnessed the object.

Several independent witnesses outside of the airport also saw the object. According to the Chicago Tribune’s Jon Hilkevitch, “The disc was visible for approximately two minutes and was seen by close to a dozen United Airlines employees, ranging from pilots to supervisors, who heard chatter on the radio and raced out to view it.”

8. MAY 2007, UFO FLEETS, LIMA, PERU

The incident took place on May 2007 at 14.00 local time in Lima Peru. A series of moving lights resembling an armada of flying objects appeared in the skies. The story was reported on the news and was seen by thousands of people.

9. JULY 2010 – XIAOSHAN AIRPORT, CHINA

An unidentified flying object that disrupted air traffic in Hangzhou for an hour on Wednesday, 10^th of July 2010. A flight crew preparing for descent first detected the object around 8:40 p.m. and notified the air traffic control department. Aviation authorities responded within minutes, grounding outbound flights and diverting inbound ones to airports in Ningbo and Wuxi. Eighteen flights were affected. A spokesman from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) confirmed to ABC News that the matter is under investigation. He declined to disclose further details. A day after the sighting, however, an anonymous source told China Daily that authorities already discovered the identity of the UFO after an investigation but could not publically disclose the information because “there was a military connection.”

Disclosure

Many would say that the above examples constitute irrefutable proof that extra-terrestrial UFOs exist. So why isn’t the public told about it?  Imagine the implications that disclosure would have and what it would mean. Acknowledgment of extraterrestrial civilizations having visited Earth would mean that many of the myths and legends of the past are in fact based on reality. It would suggests that humanity has been influenced for millennia by otherworldly beings, beings that in the past were considered gods. Disclosure would entirely topple the status quo and the balance of powers in society, and turn upside down what we know about the history of mankind.

The acknowledgement of the UFO phenomena is an event with the power to bring a global revolution in every sector of our lives today – technology and energy supply, communication and environmental concerns, society and religion.  Is this what governments and corporations are afraid of – a shift in balance and their loss of their positions of power and control? Or is it that the powers that be are afraid of re-writing our human history?

UFO SIGHTINGS: MUFON’S MOST BIZARRE EYEWITNESS ALIEN ENCOUNTERS AND TESTIMONIES

UFO sightings are a daily occurrence for MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, and the organisation is always on alert for more alien encounters. Here are some of the most bizarre eye-witness accounts of UFOs.

The Mutual UFO Network was established in 1969 and has since grown to become one of the world’s largest bodies of dedicated UFO hunters.

MUFON’s goal is to study, track and gather data on daily UFO encounters from around the world.

The UFO hunters said: “As the world’s oldest and largest UFO phenomenon investigative body we aim to be the inquisitive minds’ refuge seeking answers to that most ancient question, ‘Are we alone in the universe?’”

2. Teardrop UFO in Nevada – Case 83759

Thousands of miles away in North Las Vegas, US, a witness submitted a report of what appeared to be a teardrop-shaped object flying some 500 feet above the ground.

The MUFON testimony claims the witness was outdoors shooting photographs of airplanes landing at Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada.

The testimony reads: “The UFO is too far away, about two miles, to say what it was. It was like a bright light, but when I blew it up, it looked like a smoky goldfish cracker.

“I blew it up to about 200 percent and it looked like a cloud of circular smoke. I probably don’t have the best equipment to say what it was.

“And with so few pixels, well, we don’t have enough solid evidence other than its descending path, which can be calculated by time to say, yes this was a UFO. But the object started up at 1,000 feet and pulled a 45-degree descent.

“And then, just disappeared.”

Nevada MUFON State Director Sue Countiss closed the case as an Unknown UAV.

3. Square UFO over the Philippines – Case 83456

The next case presents another oddly shaped object floating over a city but this time over Angeles City, northeast of Manila.

This UFO was spotted by a “trained US Marine observer” who was sipping a cup of coffee at 5.45am local time on May 1, 2017, during the encounter.

The witness said in their report: “I heard my dogs carrying on outside and went to investigate.

“At first, I thought they had barked at nothing, when I suddenly caught sight of the object.

“I watched it only for 30 seconds or so before realising that it wasn’t a plane, helicopter, or hot air balloon and ran into the house and grabbed my cell phone as it was the closest camera available.”

The case was investigated by Chase Kloetzke who closed it as an Unknown UAV.

4. Low-flying triangle over California – Case 83410

A California witness claims to have seen a triangle-shaped object with seven, blinking lights pass over Fresno, US.

The UFO encounter took place on April 26, 207 around 9pm local time.

The eye-witness recollected: “I looked up in the sky and saw a triangle-shaped craft with seven white lights blinking all at the same time heading west.

“It was very clear and seemed too large to be an aircraft.

“I thought it might be a drone at first glance. But it was too large and too high in altitude to be a drone.

“The object made no noise. It seemed to be well above 500 feet at about 80-degrees above the horizon when we first spotted it.”

Adding: “After the event, I realized I may have viewed a possible UFO.”

The case was closed for MUFON by field investigator Hady Felfly as an Unknown UAV.

In 1947, in a cave one mile west of the Dead Sea, a Bedouin shepherd stumbled upon large clay jars filled with ancient scrolls. A series of further excavations of the neighboring caves by archaaeologists in the 1950s revealed these scrolls were a small fragment of the 800-plus manuscripts we now know as the Dead Sea Scrolls. These are the only known surviving Biblical documents written before the second century — and according to a discovery announced Tuesday, they may contain more revelations than previously known.

Using NASA-developed technology, a team of researchers led by archeologist Pnina Shor of the Dead Sea Scrolls Project were able to decipher texts on the scrolls that couldn’t be read with a naked eye. The text was found on fragments originally excavated from Cave 11 in 1956 — and since their discovery, they’ve sat in cigar boxes, their purpose unknown. However, on Tuesday, Shor and her team announced that not only were there unseen words on the bits of parchment, but the revealed text on at least one of the 2,000-year-old fragments “raises the possibility that it belonged to a still unknown manuscript.”

These findings were presented at an international symposium held in Jerusalem and organized to mark the 70th anniversary of finding the scrolls. “The Dead Sea scrolls are a universal cultural heritage,” Shor wrote in an abstract presented at the conference. “As such, it is our duty to safeguard the scrolls and preserve them for future generations, sharing them with the public and with scholarly communities worldwide.”

The process of text identification was kicked off by Ph.D. student Oren Ableman, who worked through 82 fragments found in Cave 11 — a site where portions of Paleo-Hebrew manuscripts belonging to Leviticus, Job, and Psalms had already been found. At first glance, most of these fragments appeared blank, but infrared microscopes and multispectral imaging revealed words that were, according to Shor, “invisible to the eye.”

Multispectral imaging is a NASA-developed technology that captures image data within wavelengths that range across the electromagnetic spectrum. Its receptors for red, green, and blue allow it to extract high-resolution information that the human eye can’t pick up and, while it was designed for space-based imaging, it’s been used on various analysis of documents and paintings.

And because there are still 20 boxes of hundreds of parchment and papyrus fragments taken from these caves still unexamined and in storage, the hope is that this technology can reveal new wonders in the coming years. The implications of what can be found are huge because what has already been discovered has been game-changing. “These texts paint a picture of diversity and complexity within Jewish religious life and philosophy,” states the Israel Antiquities Authority. “They have revolutionized our understanding of the world from which rabbinic Judaism and early Christianity emerged.”

After the Yellowstone supervolcano’s last two massive eruptions around 630,000 years ago, gargantuan clouds of ash and smoke filled the sky, blotting out the sun and cooling the oceans by about 3 degrees Celcius. Even considering the dire need to keep global temperature rise below 2 degrees Celcius, that’s a frightening prospect. But according to a new study recently published in Geophysical Research Letters, we should have plenty of time to prepare for an impending volcanic winter.

In order to examine the effects of tectonic movement on supervolcano eruptions, researchers Haley E. Cabaniss, Patricia M. Gregg, and Eric B. Grosfils created a computer model of the Taupo supervolcano in New Zealand. Then, they adjusted the variables in the model, checking to see how the volcano would respond to different amounts of seismic stress with different levels of magma. Regardless of the tectonic activity, they found that supervolcanoes will likely remain stable for hundreds or thousands of years when their magma reservoirs are growing.µ

That is, when a volcano’s magma reservoir is being actively augmented, the timescale for an eruption shortens to hundreds or thousands of years. But volcanoes can lie dormant for far longer. Yellowstone’s most recent (less massive) eruption resulting in lava flow was around 70,000 years ago. When volcanoes are dormant, they aren’t being supplied with magma, so they remain indefinitely stable.

“When new magma starts to rejuvenate a supervolcano system, we can expect to see massive uplift, faulting and earthquake activity,” Gregg said in a statement. “Even then, our models predict that the system would inflate for hundreds to thousands of years before we witness catastrophic eruption.”

Gregg said that geological activity preceding an eruption could include tectonic uplift of tens to hundreds of meters. And these signs don’t suggest the volcano would even erupt that soon. Rather, they indicate that the supervolcano’s reservoir is being filled with magma, and it could erupt in hundreds or thousands of years — plenty of time to prepare for damage control.

“People need to keep in mind that sites like Yellowstone are very well-monitored,” Cabaniss added. “Our models indicate that there should be plenty of warning.”

When NASA’s InSight lander(https://www.inverse.com/article/44379-mars-insight-lander-which-nasa-rover-is-best) lifts off on Saturday, it’ll have an enormous task ahead of it: analyzing Mars’s mysterious interior and measuring “Marsquakes.” There’s a lot riding on this little lander, since there’s debate about what’s actually going on inside the red planet, a planetary scientist tells Inverse.

Once InSight arrives to Mars on November 26, it’ll use its instruments to get right to work. The thing is, scientists only have some educated guesses about Mars’s subsurface—nothing is really that certain. We know that Mars probably has an inner and outer core, which together encompass about 900 and 1,200 miles (1,500 kilometers and 2,000 kilometers) of space. But there’s still the question of how—and if—“Marsquakes” exist, and what causes them.

“Until the last few years, we were pretty sure Mars’ interior was essentially dead,” Tanya Harrison, director of research at Arizona State University’s Space Technology and Science (NewSpace) Initiative, explains. “We didn’t think Mars had a magnetic field, which meant the core was solid. We also hadn’t seen any evidence of volcanic activity anytime in the geologically recent past.”

According to Harrison, two things changed these prevailing ideas about the red planet: the observation of aurorae by NASA’s MAVEN probe and the detection of methane emissions.

“These are clues that Mars might not be as dead on the inside as we once thought,” Harrison says.

If there truly are Marsquakes, InSight would be the first lander to detect them. Since Mars does not have plate tectonics that shift around like the ones here on Earth, they could be caused by the magma from volcanoes or even meteorites striking the planet. Using its SEIS instrument, InSight will try and get to the bottom of this.

“[NASA’s] Viking landers had seismometers aboard, but they didn’t really come into contact with the ground,” Harrison says.

No matter what InSight finds in its two-year sojourn, one thing is true: even if Mars isn’t really “dead inside,” it’s still extremely goth. Stay tuned on May 5 to watch the lander lift off from Vandenberg Air Force Base on board a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 401 rocket.

3 : “We now have the technology to take ET home. No, it won’t take someone’s lifetime to do it. There is an error in the equations. We know what it is. We now have the capability to travel to the stars. First, you have to understand that we will not get to the stars using chemical propulsion. Second, we have to devise a new propulsion technology. What we have to do is find out where Einstein went wrong.”

4 : When Rich was asked how UFO propulsion worked, he said, “Let me ask you. How does ESP work?” The questioner responded with, “All points in time and space are connected?” Rich then said, “That’s how it works!”

Lockheed “Skunk Works” former director knew the Roswell extraterrestrial UFO influenced designs of Testor model kits for Roswell UFO models, and U.S. top secret aircraft. According to a CNI News report by Colorado resident Michael Lindemann, the design information was derived from forensic illustrations and numerous witness testimonies about the Roswell UFO, provided by William L. “Bill” McDonald.

In an e-mail, dated July 29, 1999, apparently addressed to Lindemann, McDonald referenced an excerpt of a discussion with Harold Puthoff, founder of the highly classified U.S. “remote viewing” program.

McDonald said: “Well Hal, you asked for it! Now that legendary Lockheed engineer and chief model kit designer for the Testor Corporation, John Andrews, is dead, I can announce that he personally confirmed the design connection between the Roswell Spacecraft and the Lockheed Martin Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (UCAVs), spyplanes, Joint Strike Fighters, and Space Shuttles.

Andrews was a close personal friend of “Skunk Works” director Ben Rich — the hand-picked successor of Skunk Works founder Kelly Johnson and the man famous for the F-117 Nighthawk “Stealth” fighter, its “half-pint” prototype the “HAVE BLUE”, and the top-secret F-19 Stealth Interceptor. Before Rich died of cancer, Andrews took my questions to him.

Only in the last months of his decline did he begin to feel that the “international corporate board of directors” dealing with the “Subject” could represent a bigger problem to citizens’ personal freedoms under the United States Constitution than the presence of off-world visitors themselves.”

Lindemann added that “Bill McDonald received the above information from Andrews from 1994 until their last phone call near Christmas in 1998.” Lindemann also noted “It should also be known that Dr. Ben R. Rich attended a public aerospace designers and engineers conference in 1993 before his illness overwhelmed him in which he stated — in the presence of MUFON Orange County Section Director Jan Harzan and many others that – ‘We’ (i.e., the U.S. aerospace community/military industrial complex) had in it’s possession the technology to “take us to the stars”.

Stephen Hawking’s final paper was just published — and it’s mindblowing

Before the eminent physicist died at age 76, Hawking completed a paper that describes a reality made up of multiple universes, but which are not too different to our own. This is Stephen Hawking’s final theory of the cosmos, a work that proposes to simplify the evolution of the last 13.8 billion years since time exists.

The new work is the result of a collaboration with Thomas Hertog, who is a Belgian physicist at the Catholic University of Leuven. The pair’s theory is sophisticated (and quite speculative) but not all that difficult to explain. You might have heard about the Big Bang, but modern physics has actually multiple, alternative theories that explain how our universe came to be. One multiverse theory suggests that right after the Big Bang, repeated bursts of ‘cosmic inflation’ occurred which seeded an endless number of pocket universes.

“The usual theory of eternal inflation predicts that globally our universe is like an infinite fractal, with a mosaic of different pocket universes separated by an inflating ocean,” Hawking said in late 2017. 

“The local laws of physics and chemistry can differ from one pocket universe to another, which together would form a multiverse. But I have never been a fan of the multiverse. If the scale of different universes in the multiverse is large or infinite the theory can’t be tested.”

In their new paper, Hawking and Hertog came up with a different take. They propose that the pocket universes that fill space do not employ radically different laws of physics but rather these alternate universe may not actually vary that much from one another. By reducing the multiverse down to a more manageable set of universes which all resemble each other, scientists now have a better chance of arriving at a fully predictive framework of cosmology.

According to the two physicists’ new paper, the eternal inflation model is wrong since Einstein’s theory of general relativity breaks down on quantum scales.

“The problem with the usual account of eternal inflation is that it assumes an existing background universe that evolves according to Einstein’s theory of general relativity and treats the quantum effects as small fluctuations around this,” Hertog explained.

“However, the dynamics of eternal inflation wipes out the separation between classical and quantum physics. As a consequence, Einstein’s theory breaks down in eternal inflation.”

The new paper is based on work done by Hawking and US physicist James Hartle in the 1980s. The theory was revisited and updated with more powerful mathematical techniques used in string theory, where reality is described through the interaction of one-dimensional objects called cosmic strings. Ultimately, this allowed the physicists to reduce eternal inflation to a timeless state on a spatial surface.

“When we trace the evolution of our universe backwards in time, at some point we arrive at the threshold of eternal inflation, where our familiar notion of time ceases to have any meaning,” said Hertog.

Hertog says that the work he’s done with Hawking brings humanity one step closer to understanding the origin of the cosmos. Their assertions could be experimentally tested one day since the theory predicts that if the universe evolved as described, then telltale signs should be recorded in gravitational waves or in the cosmic microwave background, the radiation released by the Big Bang.

“We are not down to a single, unique universe, but our findings imply a significant reduction of the multiverse, to a much smaller range of possible universes,” said Hawking.

Stephen Hawking died on 14 March, at age 76, at his home in Cambridge. His ashes will be laid near the grave of Sir Isaac Newton at Westminster Abey during a thanksgiving service at the end of 2018.

Na waterstof is helium het meest voorkomend gewoon element in ons zonnestelsel, legt hoofdonderzoeker en studente Jessica Spake van de Universiteit van Exeter in Groot-Brittannië uit. Het is ook één van de belangrijkste bestanddelen van “onze” planeten Jupiter en Saturnus. Ondanks een zoektocht was helium nog niet bij een exoplaneet gevonden.

De ontdekking was mogelijk door het infrarode spectrum van de atmosfeer van WASP-107b te analyseren.

Het hemellichaam is één van de minst dichte die tot nu toe bekend zijn. De planeet heeft ongeveer dezelfde grootte als de reuzenplaneet Jupiter, maar slechts twaalf procent van diens massa. 

WASP-107b bevindt zich op ongeveer 200 lichtjaar van ons en heeft minder dan zes dagen nodig voor een baan rondom de moederster.

De hoeveelheid helium is zodanig groot dat de bovenste laag van de atmosfeer zich duizenden kilometers ver in de ruimte moet uitstrekken, luidt het.

Ondanks alle nepnieuws over het klimaat en dat de aarde zou opwarmen door de mens, is er maar één factor die de temperatuur op aarde bepaalt en dat is de zon. 

Wanneer er dan onverwachte dingen gebeuren, zoals momenteel, dan heeft dit wel degelijk effect op de temperatuur op onze aarde. 

Wij schrijven al langere tijd dat gezien de ontwikkelingen op de zon, je kunt concluderen dat we regelrecht afstevenen op een veel kouder klimaat. Dat dit ook niet maar enkele jaren zal duren, maar misschien wel een periode van 50 jaar of langer, net zoals tijdens het zogenaamde Maunderminimum, ook wel de Kleine IJstijd genoemd.

Het Maunderminimum is de naam die aan een periode (1645 tot 1715) wordt gegeven, waarin buitengewoon weinig zonnevlekken te zien waren. De periode is vernoemd naar de astronoom Edward Maunder, die de ontdekking deed toen hij verslagen uit die tijd bestudeerde. In een periode van 30 jaar werden bijvoorbeeld maar 50 zonnevlekken waargenomen, terwijl dat normaal tussen de 40.000 en 50.000 zijn. 

De activiteit op de zon heeft een cyclus van elf jaar, waarbij het (aantal zonnevlekken) langzaam opbouwt tot een maximum om vervolgens weer geleidelijk af te nemen tot aan een volgend dieptepunt, waarna het weer opnieuw begint. 

Op het volgende kaartje zie je de zo goed als vlakke lijn gedurende het Maunderminimun, waarna rond 1715 de normale zonnecyclus weer begint en je ook ziet dat de pieken sinds het midden van de vorige eeuw steeds hoger worden.

Echter, na 1980 worden de pieken van de zonnecyclus steeds lager:

Wanneer deze trend verder doorzet, dan is de volgende cyclus nog lager en gaan we zo langzaam maar zeker richting een nieuwe mini ijstijd. 

De huidige cyclus 24 eindigt begin 2019 en we hadden nu volgens de computermodellen nog zeker enige activiteit op de zon moeten waarnemen. Maar, volgens de laatste berichten op Space Weather, krabben wetenschappers zich nu achter de oren, want dit is de situatie op de zon nu:

Geen enkele zonnevlek te bekennen, terwijl er dat toch zeker ongeveer 15 hadden moeten zijn, gezien het punt in de cyclus waar we nu zijn. 

Op het volgende kaartje is te zien waar wij ons precies bevinden in de cyclus en het rode lijntje geeft het niveau aan waar we nu hadden moeten zijn met het aantal zonnevlekken en de blauwe geeft de werkelijke situatie weer; niets nada.

Dr. Tony Phillips in zijn artikel op Spaceweather verbaast zich dan ook over het verdwijnen van de zonnevlekken. Niet over het verdwijnen op zich omdat we naar het einde van een 11-jarige zonnecyclus lopen, maar wel over de snelheid waarmee dit gebeurt. 

Iemand die zich ook niet houdt aan de “verplichte klimaatopwarming” theorie is de astrofysicus Piers Corbyn, de grote man achter Weatheraction.com en de broer van de Engelse leider van de Labour partij, Jeremy Corbyn. 

In onderstaande video legt hij uit dat de mini ijstijd in feite al is begonnen en dat we ons de komende decennia kunnen opmaken voor een late start van de zomer, koele zomers, een korte herfst en strenge winters met veel sneeuw. 

Hij roept dan ook politici te stoppen met al die maatregelen die energie duurder maken en ervoor te zorgen dat de energieprijzen nu omlaag gaan omdat dit iets is dat iedereen de komende tijd hard nodig zal hebben.

What does the United States Government really know about UFOs, and are there secrets about advanced technologies that are being kept from the general public? If so, are these technologies of our own design, or has there been an unnamed source–possibly otherworldly–which can account for their presence on Earth?

As the old saying goes, “there’s nothing new under the sun.” In keeping with this, many in UFO circles–in particular advocates of greater transparency on such issues in government–argue that the United States could possess more knowledge pertaining to the UFO subject than it lets on. Further, it is argued that politicians who have attempted to get to the bottom of the mystery in the past have been met with resistance by those in upper echelons of the so-called “Deep State.”

However, is there any truth to such claims?

Putting ideological attitudes toward this subject aside, there is some legitimacy to the idea. However, to understand the dynamics of the issue, it helps to look at a few notable examples, one of which comes to us as recently as last Friday, when something novel aired on History Channel’s long-running and popular program, Ancient Aliens. In a departure from its usual running list of characters, former Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta made an appearance on the show, discussing his candidate’s long-time advocacy of greater transparency toward the UFO issue.

While much of the content featured on Ancient Aliens takes healthy liberties with what it presents as facts, it is true that Hillary Clinton has a history with the politics (or maybe exopolitics, as it were) of the UFO issue. This goes all the way back to when her husband became President-Elect, and the Arkansas couple were invited by Laurance Rockefeller to his ranch to discuss his interest in the subject; ultimately, this led to the establishment of the UFO Disclosure Initiative to the Clinton White House in 1993.

Also during the recent airing of Ancient Aliens, it was further noted that with the election of Donald Trump, a broader effort toward UFO disclosure was stifled in American politics. This also may be true to some extent (as we’ll see in a moment), although the program’s narration, as provided by other commentators appearing on the show, appeared to insinuate that there could have been something tantamount to a “conspiracy” that orchestrated the entire affair; in other words, that Clinton simply wasn’t allowed to claim the presidency, since doing so might result in the release of UFO secrets to the American public.

In truth, all of this is a new iteration of a long-running narrative which holds that elected officials seeking the truth about UFOs have been repeatedly barred from obtaining such knowledge. The concept has threads that run all the way back to the end of the Second World War, and the supposed acquisition of alien technologies by the U.S. government. Many U.S. Presidents, including Eisenhower, Truman, and others of the postwar era, are implicated in such theories, although with the election of John F. Kennedy, they take on a more sinister tone.

One such narrative, based on a memorandum sent to then-director of NASA James Webb, holds that Kennedy possessed knowledge about UFOs, and wished to have clear communications with the Soviet Union pertaining to what he called “the knowns and unknowns.” This document, while legitimate, seemingly makes reference to unidentified flying objects and Kennedy’s apprehension that the Soviets might mistake such objects for being U.S. technologies. A similar memorandum, dated just days before Kennedy’s assassination, details his request to the CIA that he be briefed on these alleged “unknowns.” Thus, many JFK assassination conspiracy theorists lump the UFO issue in with possible reasons for Kennedy’s death, despite no clear connections that can be made between the two.

While the UFO subject can at least be tangentially linked to nearly every U.S. President, other notable examples include Jimmy Carter’s request to then CIA Director George Herbert Walker Bush about UFO information, to which he responded that Carter, “didn’t have a need to know for that information.” Carter had previously observed a light in the sky that he couldn’t identify while serving as Governor of Georgia; similarly, President Ronald Reagan once observed an object he couldn’t identify while serving as Governor of California.

Returning to Hillary Clinton’s interest in UFOs, prior to the 2016 election, her views on the issue were widely publicized following an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she discussed the issue of UAP, as she termed it at the time, and that she and her prospective administration hoped to get to the bottom of it. Also during the 2016 election season, with the release of a number of John Podesta’s private emails by Wikileaks, we learned that the longtime UFO advocate was apparently making allowances (despite the contentious election season) for meetings with other notable UFO advocates like Tom Delonge, in the months leading up to the launch of the former Blink 182 rocker’s To The Stars Academy.

Much of the discussion in the recent episode of Ancient Aliens seemed to rely on the presumption that Clinton, if elected, would have been more successful at releasing UFO data than predecessors that included her husband, former President Bill Clinton. By itself, her election would have been no guarantee that such information–if it exists–would have been revealed. On the other hand, based on her past statements in relation to UFOs, we do know that she would likely have been more proactive in this regard than our current commander in chief, who appears to show no interest in the subject.

Understandably, some might dispute the “if it exists” caveat given earlier, and so to clarify on this point, it is meant to reference prior investigations by researchers like John B. Alexander, Ph.D., who found little evidence of government interest in the UFO subject (see Alexander’s book UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities for more on this). Granted, in light of more recent happenings, even Alexander’s well-reasoned assessment of government UFO interest seems in contrast somewhat with news like last December’s New York Times bombshell, which divulged a Pentagon UFO program; and one which, as researcher Paul Dean points out, seems to have at least a couple of different names.

Altogether, while it is certainly novel and noteworthy that someone of John Podesta’s prominence in U.S. politics would appear on a program like Ancient Aliens, it’s not entirely surprising, given his long history of involvement with the subject. However, to further assert that Clinton’s chances of winning the U.S. Presidency were somehow prevented on the basis of her UFO advocacy is a baseless claim; one which builds onto an existing narrative that involves UFO secrecy in the United States, comprised of a few obvious truths… and a lotof rumor and hearsay.

Aside from catastrophic climate change, deadly supervolcano eruptions, cataclysmic earthquakes, or any of the other ways the Earth is trying to kill us, the Earth’s magnetic field may someday be a source of disaster. Many doomsday predictions revolve around the hypothetical havoc a magnetic pole reversal could wreak, despite NASA’s assurances that we’ll all be fine. Based on geological evidence, scientists believe the Earth’s magnetic poles reverse around every 200,000 to 300,000 years, although it’s been over twice that long since the last reversal.

Will Santa Claus have to pack up shop and move south? Er, to the new north?

Scientists using new European Space Agency satellite swarms have detected that the Earth’s magnetosphere is on a weakening trend and unexplained magnetic anomalies are popping up around the world. Now, new data has revealed further anomalous activity in our planet’s magnetic field, and geologists don’t know exactly what’s going on. Could those doomsday predictions be on to something?

Geomagnetic anomalies have even been proposed as possible causes for recent mass animal deaths.

Probably not. As it turns out, some scientists actually think the poles aren’t due to reverse any time soon despite their geological tardiness. and the strange weakening events detected. The University of Liverpool’s Richard Holme recently published a study which argues that despite these recent anomalies, a reversal event may be unlikely when current data is compared with historical reversal events:

By studying the two most recent excursion events, we show that neither bear resemblance to current changes in the geomagnetic field and therefore it is probably unlikely that such an event is about to happen. Our research suggests instead that the current weakened field will recover without such an extreme event, and therefore is unlikely to reverse.

Instead, this research argues, the Earth might be experiencing what’s known as a “geomagnetic excursion” in which the magnetic field weakens and comes close to reversing before returning to its original structure. Still, that doesn’t mean there will be no ill effects of all this geomagnetic weirdness. More and more airliners have been grounded by unexplained in-flight illnesses lately, possibly demonstrating the effects of increased cosmic radiation penetrating the Earth’s weakened magnetic field. Could even worse side-effects be on the way?

In my previous article – titled “A Strange Tale of a Black-Eyed Boy” – I told the story of a man I spoke with just a couple of weeks ago who suspected that aliens might be infiltrating our society by trying to make themselves appear far more human-like than they would look normally. It’s an undeniably outrageous and over the top theory, but (you knew the “B word” was coming…) there are more than just a few such reports on-file. In the previous article, the witness – “Mike” – described the Black-Eyed Child he encountered in Wimberley, Texas just a few years ago as wearing a black wig and painted-on eyebrows. Mike suggested to me that if the very pale-looking boy (or whatever it was) removed the wig and got rid of the faked eyebrows, then he/it might have appeared very alien-like. Yep, I said it was controversial! While this case is the first one I have come across where a BEC is seen wearing a wig and painted-on eyebrows, there are somewhat similar cases involving the Men in Black and the Women in Black. In fact, there are many of them. Is Mike correct? Are we being infiltrated by strange and unearthly things? Let’s see.

In the latter part of October 23, 1971, the U.S. press reported: “A part-time housekeeper at President Nixon’s Key Biscayne retreat has testified she was put in a hypnotic daze by a stranger who told her to shoplift four dresses. Shirley Cromartie, 32, and a mother of three, pleaded no contest Thursday and was given a suspended sentence after law enforcement officers and a psychiatrist testified they believed she was telling the truth. Mrs. Cromartie holds a security clearance to work in the Florida White House, according to testimony. She said a woman met her in a parking lot and asked the time, then ordered her to take the items and bring them to her.

“Mrs. Cromartie testified she fell into a daze when the young woman released a jasmine-like scent from her left hand. ‘I just sort of lost my will … it was a terrifying experience,’ she testified. Mrs. Cromartie joined the Key Biscayne White House housekeeping staff about a year ago, according to FBI Agent Leo Mc Clairen. He testified her background was impeccable. Dr. Albert Jaslow, a psychiatrist, said he examined her and found she could be hypnotized ‘quickly and easily’ and believed she was telling the truth. ‘But it wasn’t the same when he hypnotized me,’ Mrs. Cromartie said. ‘I couldn’t remember anything afterwards. Whatever that young woman did to me, it was like being in a sleepwalk, only awake.'”

It turns out that the mysterious woman was dressed in black, wore what was clearly a wig and seemed to take control of Mrs. Cromartie’s mind. John Keel – of The Mothman Propheciesfame – suggested that Mrs. Cromartie’s wig-wearing Woman in Black was linked to the bogus, and sometimes wig-wearing, “government census takers” who plagued certain witnesses to the Mothman of Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the 1960s. Keel even went so far as to suggest that the wig-wearing woman put on “…not some small demonstration for the benefit of President Nixon.”

Karen Totten is an artist and sculptor. Her experience with a similar woman is told in Mac Tonnies’ book, The Cryptoterrestrials. Karen said: “[W]hen I was 17 I was working in a small convenience store, when a ‘woman’ came in to buy cigarettes. At first I didn’t pay any attention to her until I saw her hand (when she handed me the money) – it was not like a normal human hand. This startled me so I looked up and saw a very pale entity, wearing a thin black coat (like a rain coat) with collar turned up to cover her neck, a heavy long haired wig, and very large black glasses. This did not entirely hide her strange face: a very pointed chin, scant lip and nose. She did not speak. Took her cigarettes and left! I was kinda stunned. Oddly I cannot remember the details of her hand (though it was the first thing I noticed). Nor do I think she left in a car which was odd since most patrons drove up the store (it was somewhat isolated).“

Karen added: “…whether this entity is a ‘gray’ or a ‘hybrid’, I can only guess. I have never seen what is described as a classic gray alien. Perhaps ‘hybrid’ is most fitting simply because there seems to be some variety of attributes associated with this general category; i.e. that do not fit perfectly with the classic gray alien type (size of head being foremost). Some details that I do recall with some clarity: First, her skin: it was very pale, white with an almost bluish-gray tint to it, and of an unusually smooth texture. I have never seen anything like it before or since. I had previously seen an albino person; it was nothing like that; i.e., her skin was not UN-pigmented though there was an almost translucent quality to it.”

“A Hesitant Believer” is someone who had just such an encounter, too, and only a handful of years ago. He told me: “The woman, who was about 5’6, emaciated, and looked about mid-20s, wore a black evening gown with elbow-length satin gloves and had a clashing bright green knit shawl around her shoulders. She had a short bob haircut with bangs, though it really looked like a poorly cared-for wig. She had the same high forehead, cheekbones, and blue eyes as her partner, although her eyes were more narrow and slightly slanted. Neither one had eyebrows. As I started cleaning up behind the bar, the woman began clearing her throat impatiently, so I walked over to see what they wanted (I wanted them to get the hell out of my bar). That’s when I noticed the stench emanating from this woman. Not only did she smell like she hadn’t bathed in a month, she also smelled like chemicals. I used to apprentice as an embalmer, and I swear that woman smelled just like formalin.”

It’s intriguing to note that the MIB and the WIB encountered by “AHB” lacked eyebrows – just like Mike’s Black-Eyed Child. And, just like the boy, the woman seen by “AHB” wore a wig. Moving on…

In November 2014, I spoke with an elderly woman – Gloria – from Decatur, Texas. In an in-person interview with Gloria, she told me that after seeing a UFO over her home in the summer of 2012, she was visited by a Woman in Black. The visitor was a pale-faced, thin woman of about thirty, wearing a long black wig and dressed in a black jacket, a white blouse, and a flowing, black skirt. And then there were the huge sunglasses. Gloria felt deeply uncomfortable as, upon opening the door, the Woman in Black proceeded to warn her not to talk about the UFO she had encountered the previous day, due to the claim that “the government is concerned.”

There are more of these wig-wearing, sunglasses-wearing figures – and sometimes without eyebrows – than you might think. The cases above are just the tip of the iceberg. Are supernatural/alien entities infiltrating us? Are they doing their best to appear just like us, but clearly failing in the process? Infiltration or not, the fact is that such absolutely bizarre cases abound.

Strange Structures in Antarctica Form a Perfect Triangle

Once again using Google Earth Conspiracy Depot has located a network of 4 buildings and towers which look constructed.

Is it part of a debris field? Or part of a larger structure buried beneath the ice?

Twinkling UFO Caught On Camera Hovering In English Sky

A video shows a pair of flickering balls of light hovering over Landbeach, a tiny village in eastern England. A man in Cambridgeshire, England recorded on video an apparent UFO floating in the night sky.

According to the witness report, he saw the two lights while going out for a cigarette before sleep at around 11 o’clock at night.

The witness stated that he saw one of the UFOs approximately 300 feet in the sky in white colour and the other one was hovering just above the tree line and orange in colour. The orange one hovered for around five minutes before it disappeared and the one in the video, hovered for approximately 15 minutes, which reportedly stayed there after the witness went back inside.

The man first thought the light was a twinkling star but changed his mind when it started making erratic movements. He stated that the light darted out slightly, went behind a tree, and came out again. The witness felt like it was staring at him.

He explained that looking for UFOs is not his thing. He admitted that he was quite spooked as he could not think of anything that would explain the strange light. He ruled out an aeroplane or a helicopter as possible explanations because he heard no engine sound. He also said that it could not have been a drone because it wasn’t looked like it.

‘STAR PEOPLE’ AND ‘FLYING SHIELDS’ ARE FAMILIAR NOTIONS INSIDE NATIVE AMERICAN TRIBES

Prior to the merciless conquest of the Americas by the rapacious Europeans, there were various cultures in these areas not sharing the beliefs of the colonialists, but instead possessing unique belief systems, as well as precious ancient knowledge.

Much of this information had been eradicated by the colonialists of that era, but several ideologies were fortunate enough to surpass the test of time and are now offering bewildering insight, since these ancient concepts are contradictory to the established Western paradigm.

Surviving tribes speak of the “Star People,” a term referring to various beings of otherworldly origins who at some point in time descended from the sky in order to share some of their wisdom with the early inhabitants of the Earth worthy of their “gifts” of knowledge.

These timeworn peoples had established contact with diverse species of advanced extraterrestrials, proof of this standing the multitude of myths depicting such encounters. 

Although disconnected by millenary periods of time, former cultures of the Americas speak of flying objects and technology so advanced that it could have been confused with magic. The narratives of the Native American tribes are particularly luxuriant in details.

“My people tell of Star People who came to us many generations ago,” writes Richard Wagamese of the Wabaseemoong First People. 

“The Star people brought spiritual teachings and stories and maps of the cosmos and they offered these freely. They were kind, loving and set a great example. When they left us, my people say there was a loneliness like no other.”

And he goes on saying that:

“If Star people did come to the Ojibway, where did they go? Where did they come from? Who brought teachings to them? What scientific magic did they own that allowed them to make such an incredible journey – and is it possible for us?”

Hopi Indians know they owe much of their cultural heritage to their ancestors who came from the Pleidaes, and much of their lifestyle seems analog to the depicted attitude of those aliens. 

Does this prove their origins myths hold more truth than fiction? It could very well be the case.

The Dakota people allude to the same star cluster as the place from where their ancestors had arrived. 

Not far from them are the Cree, who believe that at some point in remote history, their founding fathers descended from the stars, just that in spirit form, and have later materialized into human beings.

Lakota natives speak of mystical celestial entities which developed energy shields around them whenever transcending into the material world. They were often seen as luminous orbs of light and would sometimes adopt gifted children to journey with them across the cosmos.

This entire concept of alien visitors is not at all new or unknown to the Native Americans, but they perceive this topic from a more spiritual point of view than us Westerners. 

Author of Plains Cree, Stephane Wuttunee explains this more thoroughly in a UFO digest article:

“[My people] give far greater attention to the seeking of the spiritual understanding of things rather than going after ‘the truth’ as people from dominant cultures do. This is part of the reason why we tend to stand back and view or listen at first, rather than bare in with questions or take the hard, direct approach.”

The tightness of Wuttunee’s community allowed him to lend an ear to the stories of his elders which comprised information that had been passed down one generation after another.

The stories often reminded of “distant relations and Star People living among the stars” that had established contact with his tribe.

“Far from being anything to be feared, Star People was just another term i grew up around,” acknowledged Wuttunee in his paper. 

“I remember listening in awe and fascination at the thought of us having relations that lived off and outside our world, and sometimes spoke to them in my silent moments at night. I wanted to know who they were and what they looked like, if they had families like us and so on.”

“It wasn’t until my later teens that I discovered that people from the dominant culture were talking about the same ‘people’ as my elders did, though each sides’s sense of perception of these people seemed radically different from one another.”

So, could Wuttunee’s words be the product of our modern-day understanding of extraterrestrials combined with the imaginative nature of his elderly’s tales? 

It could be, but the fact that Native Americans have been talking about “flying shields” since forever speaks in favor of another reality.

Before the UFO phenomenon became a widespread media phenomenon, an Oglala Sioux mystic known as Black Elk (1863/1950) who had cruised along Buffalo Bill during his Wild West Show, depicted one of his UFO encounters, proving that such meetings were not just some isolated event, but they were instead embedded into the lives and culture of Native Americans.

“So, when I went to vision quest, that disk came from above. The scientists call that an unidentified flying object, but that’s a joke, see? Because they are not trained, they lost contact with the wisdom, power and gift.”

“So that disk landed on top of me. It was concave, and there was another on top of that. It was silent, but it lit and luminesced like neon lights…Then these little people came, but each little group spoke a different language. 

“They could read minds, and I could read their minds. I could read them. So there wa silent communication. You could read it, like when you read silent symbols in a book. So we were able to communicate…They are human, so I welcomed them. I said, ‘Welcome, Welcome…”

There’s no denial that all Native American tribes maintain a vigorous bound with Mother Earth. They refer to themselves as the “original caretakers” of the Earth and condemn the Western path towards inevitable destruction.

According to them, the bond between this planet and her children has been severely disrupted, and this uprooting phenomenon humans are experiencing right now is the exact reason why it has become so hard to maintain connection with the Star People.

At the same time they offer a key to unlock this ancient and sacred union between the ETs and ourselves. 

It comes in the form of a global awakening, a shift in consciousness that would make us once again worthy of reaching out (or being reached) by these advanced beings.

This may sound appealing and somehow realistic in the future, but I’m afraid that all Earth’s creatures are in the same boat, and the powers that be have all the necessary means to blow an irreparable hole through the deck, serving us all a one-way-ticket to the blackness of space.

UNDER-OCEAN MILITARY BASES: THERE IS MORE THAN JUST ONE AREA 51… SEE FOR YOURSELF

“It is ironic that the U.S. would begin a devastating war, allegedly in search of weapons of mass destruction, when the most worrisome developments in this field are occurring in your own backyard. It is ironic that the U.S. should be fighting monstrously expensive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allegedly to bring democracy to those countries, when it itself can no longer claim to be called a democracy, when trillions, and I mean thousands of billions of dollars have been spent on projects about which both the Congress and the Commander in Chief have been kept deliberately in the dark.”

It was only three years ago (2013) that the Central Intelligence Agency finally admitted to the existence of Area 51. Although it didn’t ‘officially’ exist before the CIA made this admission, it was pretty clear that something secretive was going on in the Nevada desert. That secretive something would be the testing of secret aircraft and technology that the public has absolutely no idea about. Take for example the U.S. air strike against Libya in 1996. An f-111 jet was used, which had been operational since 1983, but its existence was still kept secret for a number of years after.

These programs are referred to as Special Access Programs (SAP), and they are funded from what’s known as the ‘Black Budget.‘ From these we have unacknowledged and waived SAPs. These programs do not exist publicly, but they do indeed exist. They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’ A 1997 US Senate report described them as “so sensitive that they are exempt from standard reporting requirements to the Congress.”

It’s also important to mention that the United States has a history of government agencies existing in secret. The National Security Agency (NSA) was founded in 1952 but its existence was hidden until the mid 1960’s. Even more secretive is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained completely concealed for 30 years.

 Under-Ocean & In Bottom Military Bases

Research into and discussions of under-ocean and in-bottom military bases began decades ago. For example, in 1968 the Stanford Research Institute discussed the construction of dozens of undersea bases. The study was titled “Feasibility of Manned In-Botton Bases.” It’s important to show you the abstract here, because it clearly reveals what the military-industrial complex was considering, and what they could do within their technological reach at the time — more than four decades ago.

Abstract:

The construction of thirty manned in-bottom bases within the ocean floors is technically and economically feasible. However, it will be necessary to establish some successive types of experimental facilities before a full construction program can be started. This could take 15 years. The major technology for a land-linked station in-bottom is established now; only adaptations are needed. The remaining experimental phases will require further development of equipment and techniques applicable to remote sea access. There are useful assignments for a succession of three experimental stations other than advancing in-bottom construction techniques. Science and engineering concerned with the oceans and their resources will be furthered and military tests of undersea base functions complimenting deeper operations can be accomplished. The costs of the experimental phase, called here a demonstration program, can be surprisingly modest: approximately one half-billion dollars, spent over 15 years. 

A distinction between in-bottom bases and on-bottom facilities is made in the numbers of men enclosed.  and the depth of water, wherein areas of one-atmosphere space can be created in-bottom, and on-bottom facilities is made in the numbers of men enclosed and the depth of water, wherein areas of one atmosphere space can be created in-bottom at such low costs the ingress system can be amortized if the space required is reasonably large. Economics thus can dictate choice between the two types; even so, some on-bottom facilities will be needed to aid the construction of remote in-bottom facilities.

Presently, establishing an in-bottom facility and building upon this will present fewer technical difficulties that do the submersibles which would support it and use it. Subsequent to the completion of the third phase of a demonstration program, which would be a remote, deep water station, and the evaluation of it, a multiple base program, could be implemented.  The cost of such a base program would be about $2.7 billion for construction of a number of bases (assumed at 30).

So, do these bases exist today without question? I think they do, just like Area 51 existed without question.

In 1987 Deputy Director of Engineering and Construction for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lloyd A. Duscha, gave a speech at an engineering conference titled “Underground Facilities for Defense – Experience and Lessons.” In the first paragraph of his speech he states the following:

After World War II, political and economic factors changed the underground construction picture and caused a renewed interest to “think underground.” As a result of this interest, the Corps of Engineers became involved in the design and construction of some very complex and interesting military projects. Although the conference program indicates the topic to be “Underground Facilities for Defense – Experience and Lessons,” I must deviate a little because several of the most interesting facilities that have been designed and constructed by the Corps are classified. (Lloyd A. Duscha, “Underground Facilities for Defense – Experience and Lessons,” in Tunneling and Underground Transport: Future Developments in Technology. Economics and Policy, ed. F.P. Davidson (New York: Elsevier Science Publishing Company, Inc., 1987, pp. 109-113.)

He then went into a discussion of the Corps’ involvement in the 1960’s in the construction of the large and elaborate NORAD base buried deep beneath Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado. This is just a public statement, but you will not find a more significant public admission of secret, underground bases than this one. Such speeches are not the only evidence available, however. There also exist documents obtained by researchers through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that shed more light on the subject, and clearly outline plans for the contraction of underground facilities.

Another great example of in-bottom bases deep underneath the ocean floor comes from William B. McLean, who was the inventor of the Sidewinder air-to-air missile and former Technical Director of the China Lake Naval  Naval Ordnance Test Center (NOTS).  He was also the Technical Director of the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center in San Diego.  McLean made some comments to John Newbauer, who at the time was the Editor-in-Chief of Astronautics and Aeronautics, stating that these plants and projects were already in development. (“A Bedrock View of Ocean Engineering,” Interview of William B. Mclean by A/A Editor-in-Chief John Newbauer, Astronautics and Aeronautics (April 1969): 30-36.)

This was in 1969, but keep in mind that the abstract above is from 1968, meaning that these constructions could have been  under development before, or shortly after this publication.

What Do These Facilities Look Like?

Walter Koerschner, who was an illustrator for the United States Navy’s Rock-site team during the 1960’s, contacted Richard Sauder, Ph.D, who has researched this topic extensively. This was at the time when the Navy had plans for technically complex and very large buried manned bases beneath the ocean floor.

His background is verified, documents like this, or a simple google search of Waters name along side “US Navy” or “US Navy Illustrator” would suffice.

He contacted Dr. Sauder to provide him with some of the original illustrations he had done for this project, and they are very telling. Dr. Sauder, in his book Hidden In Plain Sight, provides these illustrations and goes into detailing regarding the science and engineering behind these projects. It is quite fascinating and I recommend you check him out if you are interested in learning more.

Here is an excerpt and picture from the book:

This ‘racetrack’ facility – also called the ‘Nautilus Concept’ – that can dock three submarines at a time, with an adjoining sister facility that also can handle multiple submarines. The picture is virtually self-explanatory. Large submarines are hundreds of feet long, so the dimensions of a facility such as shown here would have to be very large. The central docking area might be more than a thousand feet long and easily more than a hundred feet in diameter. The living quarters would obviously have to accommodate hundreds of crew members in some degree of creature comfort.

The book has many other illustrations from Koerschner, but unfortunately I cannot seem to find any more online.

It Doesn’t End With Area 51 

There are also known underground facilities in existence. Take for example the Swedish underground military facility at Musko. It’s a large naval base built underneath a mountain. The hospital alone within this facility holds over 1,000 beds. Musko engineers blasted out 1,500,000 cubic meters of stone in order to build it

The world’s most prominent researcher on Underground Military Facilities (in my opinion), Richard Sauder, Ph.D, told of an interesting story in his book Hidden In Plain Sight that I’d like to share with you:

As it happens, after giving a public talk a couple of years ago, I was approached by a man who had been a uniformed member of the United States Navy. We chatted for a while and when he mentioned that he had spent some time at China Lake my ears perked up. I asked him if there was an underground facility at China Lake. He said that indeed there is, and that it is impressively large and deep. I asked him if he had ever been in it, and he said that he had, though not to the deepest levels. I asked him how deep the deepest part extended. He looked at me soberly and said very quietly, “It goes one mile deep.” I then asked him what the underground base contains. He replied, ‘Weapons.’ I responded, “What sort of weaponry?” And he answered without pausing, “Weapons more powerful than nuclear weapons.”

There are documents available which expose a deep underground command center that was to be built far below regions such as Washington, D.C. and China Lake, California during the Cold War. Documents show that in 1964 the military was considering building a huge underground cavity 4,000 feet deep beneath China Lake, and it’s well known that the United States and the Soviet Union created a vast infrastructure to support a complex of offensive and defensive weapons during the Cold War. This infrastructure included sites and facilities for developing, testing, storing, and manufacturing weapons. There was also a host of communication and command centres.

The very first TOP SECRET memo on the subject was issued by Robert McNamara on November 7th, 1963 from the office of the Secretary of Defense. A second memo was issued on the same day concerning a proposed Deep Underground National Command Center that would be approximately 3,500 feet beneath Washington. The memo also mentioned elevator shafts below the State Department and White House that would descend to 3,500 feet, with high speed, horizontal tunnel transport to the main facility. And this was way back in the 60’s. Imagine what technological feats we are capable of now.

A World Of Transparency is required if our race is to evolve out of our infancy. Maybe one day, everything will come to light.

An Astronomer Believes He Spotted Three UFO’s Flying Between Earth And The Moon

YouTube has become widely known for featuring countless UFO videos. There are so many videos on YouTube that it’s hard to keep track of them all.

Some of them are hoaxed content created by ‘Video Publishers’ just for revenue, while other videos (much fewer) actually approach the UFO phenomenon from a more scientific point of view.

Now, an amateur astronomer has turned towards YouTube’s online community to try and make sense of three mysterious objects he spotted while observing the Moon from Earth.

The person in charge of uploading the ‘controversial footage’ to YouTube was an amateur astronomer who has a channel called Don’t Stop Motion, who argue he is unsure whether the objects he spotted with his telescope were helium balloons or space junk that he managed to film just as he was exploring Earth’s natural satellite.

Unlike many other videos uploaded to the video-sharing network, the author of this video is just as confused as we are.

NASA to Discuss Demonstration of New Space Exploration Power System

Media are invited to attend a news conference at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland at 9:15 a.m. EDT Wednesday, May 2, to discuss a recent experiment to demonstrate a new nuclear reactor power system designed for space.

Kilopower could provide safe, efficient and plentiful energy for future robotic and human space exploration missions to the Moon, Mars and destinations beyond. The experiment was conducted November 2017 through March 2018 at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS).

Salty, subglacial lakes in Canada could be key for studying aliens

A sealed lake is an ideal place to look for clues about extraterrestrial life — and researchers have just identified a few more.

Life on other planets might not be located the most obvious of places. While researchers used to think that Earth-like planets such as Mars or Venus were capable of holding life, modern research has shown that places like Europa or Enceladus are much more likely to be hospitable (Europa and Enceladus are two frozen moons of Jupiter and Saturn respectively). However, astronomers have evidence that beneath the frozen surface lies a vast ocean of liquid where life may very well thrive. Researchers want to explore this avenue before actually landing a shuttle on the surface of these moons (which may take a very long time) and the best way to do that is by studying subglacial lakes.

Subglacial lakes are bodies of water perfectly sealed under a glacier — typically an ice cap or ice sheet. There are 400 known subglacial lakes in the world, most of which can be found in Antarctica, with Lake Vostok being probably the most well known. Since they’re sealed off from the rest of the world, life can develop and adapt independently — this essentially means that subglacial lakes are potentially unique microbial habitats which can provide information about how life might have developed on places like Europa. Now, lead author Anja Rutishauser, a Ph.D. student at the University of Alberta, has found the first subglacial lakes in the Canadian High Arctic.

“If there is microbial life in these lakes, it has likely been under the ice for at least 120,000 years, so it likely evolved in isolation,” Rutishauser said. “If we can collect a sample of the water, we may determine whether microbial life exists, how it evolved, and how it continues to live in this cold environment with no connection to the atmosphere.”

What makes these newly discovered lakes extra special is that they seem to contain very salty water — all other subglacial lakes we know of are thought to contain freshwater, or only mildly saline water. All subglacial lakes are good analogs for life beyond Earth, but the hypersaline nature of these newly discovered lakes makes them particularly tantalizing analogs for ice-covered moons in our solar system, according to the researchers. There is strong evidence that Jupiter’s icy moon Europa contains hypersaline water.

The lake was discovered using remote sensing, which is promising, especially considering that NASA’s Europa Clipper mission, which is set to launch sometime in the 2020s and take samples from Europa, will use similar remote sensing techniques. An analysis of the radar data shows that the lakes are located 550 to 750 meters beneath the Devon Ice Cap, one of the largest ice caps in the Canadian Arctic. They’ve not had contact with the outside world for tens of thousands of years.

Now, researchers would like to sample this environment, which is probably more complicated than you’d expect. It’s not just drilling through hundreds of meters (or perhaps even kilometers) of ice that’s problematic: there’s also the matter of contamination — if a unique microbial environment does exist, the last thing you’d want to do is contaminate it.

World’s largest dead zone identified in the Gulf of Oman — it’s nearly the size of Florida

Underwater robots have recently made a discomforting discovery: the Gulf of Oman harbors a “dead zone” nearly the size of Florida.

Dead zones are often caused by the decay of algae during algal blooms, like this one off the coast of La Jolla, San Diego, California.

Remote-controlled submarines — sent forth by researchers from the University of East Anglia — have identified the world’s largest dead zone. This mass of water, spanning a chilling 63,700-square-mile (roughly 165.000 km²) area in the Gulf of Oman, is nearly devoid of oxygen. That’s an area comparable to the surface of Florida (170,305 km²), and over two times larger than Scotland (80,077 km²).

Although the technical term for such a place is an “oxygen minimum area”, their colloquial name of “dead zones” is quite apt. Marine flora and fauna are completely dependent on oxygen dissolved in the water for their survival. The absence of this element also alters the local nitrogen cycle, causing nitrous oxide emissions — which is a greenhouse gas 300 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.

Dead zones are generally the product of climate change-induced ecological shifts and/or chemical run-off from land — for example, from sewage or chemical fertilizers. One particularly worrying prospect is that as climate change makes ocean water warmer, it will be less able to hold oxygen — meaning more frequent and more intense dead zones.

“Our research shows that the situation is actually worse than feared – and that the area of dead zone is vast and growing,” said Dr Bastien Queste, who led the research. “The ocean is suffocating.”

Dead zones are “a disaster waiting to happen,” he adds.

The Gulf of Oman dead zone sits between a depth of 200 and 800 meters. The team report that it is made up of entirely anoxic or suboxic conditions — meaning there’s no oxygen or very low oxygen present, respectively.

Computer simulations, based on data the team recovered on site, revealed that the dead zone has increased both in size and severity since the 1990s and is still growing, the team reports. Unless addressed it could have drastic consequences for life both in and out of the sea.

“Another interesting question is now that the Gulf of Oman is clearly consuming oxygen faster than it is replenished, how much of that is exported to the Arabian Sea and making the wider Arabian Sea OMZ extend and grow even more?” Queste asks.

The next step for the team is to figure out whether this is due to the overall supply of oxygen decreasing, or an increased consumption of oxygen in the region.

The “Seaglider” robots that made the discovery possible are roughly the size of a person, but can spend several months at depths of 1,000 meters. In an article recently published in Geophysical Research Letters, the researchers note that access to these waters had previously been limited by “piracy and geopolitical tensions.”

ExoMars' First Photos From Orbit Are Absolutely Surreal

The ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter entered the Martian atmosphere in October 2016. Almost two years later, it’s finally maneuvered itself into a position to begin its two mission directives: Sniff out Mars’ atmosphere for some gnarly fart clouds and take some dope space pics.

The spacecraft achieved a nearly circular orbit, roughly 249 miles (400 kilometers) above the red planet’s surface, the perfect altitude to begin probing the planet’s atmosphere for signs of methane, the same gas humans release after one too many tacos. But before it starts probing for stinky gas, scientists at the European Space Agency and Roscosmos tested out the orbiter’s Color Stereo Surface Imaging System (CaSSIS). The result was an absolutely stunning panoramic shot of a 25 mile (40 kilometers) segment of the Korolev Crater located high in the planet’s icy northern hemisphere. The image was created by merging three images of different colors taken on April 15.

“We were really pleased to see how good this picture was given the lighting conditions,” Antoine Pommerol, a member of the CaSSIS science team working on the calibration of the data, says in a statement. “It shows that CaSSIS can make a major contribution to studies of the carbon dioxide and water cycles on Mars.”

Aside from this sweet space camera, ExoMars has a spectrometer onboard that it will use to scan the molecules in the Martian atmosphere. Distinct gases absorb sunlight differently, this provides the orbiter with a unique fingerprint for each of the chemicals in encounters. It’s going to be specifically looking for evidence of methane and carbon dioxide, which could be signs of active geological or biological activity taking place on Mars.

The orbiter will be able to quickly beam data from the images it takes and gases it detects back to scientists on Earth. From there they will try to characterize features on the surface that may be related to traces of certain chemicals in the atmosphere.

This ExoMars mission is expected to last roughly five more years. So get ready for some more eye-popping images of the red planet — this orbiter is just getting started.

Zij opperen dat het heelal eindig is en veel eenvoudiger dan tot nu toe wordt gedacht. De theorie was vorig jaar voor het eerst gedeeld met de wereld. Hawking en zijn pupil Hertog hebben het daarna uitgewerkt. Omdat het om een theorie gaat, moet het onomstotelijke bewijs nog worden geleverd.

Multiversum

Het heelal ontstond bijna 14 miljard jaar geleden met de oerknal. De grote vraag is wat er sindsdien precies gebeurde. Er zijn allemaal natuurwetten gevonden en algemeen aanvaarde theorieën uitgewerkt, maar natuurkundigen zoeken nog naar de grote theorie daarachter, de basis van alles, een verklaring voor zowel het heel grote (het heelal) als het heel kleine (minieme deeltjes). Een van de theorieën is dat het universum eigenlijk bestaat uit een oneindige verzameling mini-heelalletjes. Dat wordt een multiversum genoemd. Het ene universum bevat sterren en herbergt leven, anderen zijn dan weer zo goed als leeg. Wij zouden in één van die heelalletjes wonen. Het probleem is dat het aantal mogelijke natuurwetten dan misschien ook oneindig is.

Die theorie klopt niet, zeggen Hawking en Hertog. Ze schrijven: “Wij stellen dat het universum redelijk gelijkmatig en ook eindig is.” Dat betekent niet dat er “een enkel, uniek universum is, maar wij suggereren wel dat het aantal mogelijke heelallen veel kleiner is.” Wat er buiten hun eindige heelal te vinden is, laten ze in het midden. 

Testen

Het probleem is volgens Hertog dat de gangbare theorie niet voorspelt in wat voor heelal wij ons zouden moeten bevinden en dus ook niet degelijk kan getest worden. “De grote uitdaging voor de moderne kosmologie is om dit multiversum een rigide wiskundige basis te geven en te kneden tot een wetenschappelijke theorie die kan getest worden. Onze publicatie is een stap in die richting”, aldus Hertog. “In onze theorie wordt het enorme multiversum gereduceerd tot een veel meer hanteerbaar en kleiner scala aan mogelijke universums.”

“Ons model is gebaseerd op holografie”, legt hij verder uit. “Een nieuw concept binnen de snaartheorie die de algemene relativiteitstheorie tracht te verzoenen met kwantumfysica. Holografie stelt ons in staat om de tijdsdimensie te projecteren en we hebben dit toegepast op alles wat er volgens de gangbare theorie ‘voor’ de oerknal gebeurde”, aldus Hertog. Het resultaat is dat het scala van mogelijke universums veel beperkter is en het idee van uiteenlopende vormen van universum verdween.

Wat nu?

Hertog gaat op zoek naar manieren om de nieuwe theorie te testen. “Ik ben van plan om meer in detail te bestuderen wat deze vertelt over eigenschappen van ons universum die binnen het bereik van onze ruimtetelescopen liggen. Ik vermoed bijvoorbeeld dat de oerknal gepaard gaat met zwaartekrachtgolven die via de inflatietheorie (die zegt dat het universum in de eerste fase van zijn evolutie aan een steeds hoger tempo uitdijt) een invloed hebben op patronen van kosmische achtergrondstraling. Als we die invloed kunnen vaststellen zitten we wellicht op het juiste spoor”, aldus de Leuvense onderzoeker.

Hawking was een van de beroemdste wetenschappers van de afgelopen decennia. Hij leed sinds zijn studententijd aan ALS, een dodelijke en ongeneeslijke ziekte aan de zenuwen die spieren aansturen. De meeste patiënten hebben na de diagnose hooguit nog een paar jaar te leven. Hawking leefde meer dan vijftig jaar met de ziekte. Hij was aan een rolstoel gekluisterd en kon alleen praten via een computer. Hawking koos de woorden met een wangspier en de computer sprak die uit met een kenmerkende robotachtige stem.

Ondanks doemscenario’s: magnetisch veld van Aarde zal voorlopig niet omkeren volgens nieuwe studie - HLN.be

Het nieuws was er begin dit jaar nochtans niet naast. Volgens het onafhankelijke wetenschappelijke tijdschrift Undark was het magnetisch veld van de Aarde de afgelopen 200 jaar met zo’n 15 procent afgezwakt en zat er een omkeer van de polen aan te komen. Het meest concrete gevolg zou zijn dat kompassen het noorden daardoor op Antarctica zouden situeren en het zuiden ergens in Canada. En dat zou nog gevolgen hebben, onder meer voor dieren die gebruik maken van het magnetisch veld van de Aarde om zich te oriënteren, zoals sommige vogels en vissen.

Onbewoonbaar

En dat was nog niet alles, volgens sommige experts. Ook de bescherming die het magnetisch veld ons biedt tegen schadelijke zonne- en kosmische straling zou verzwakken. Satellietsystemen liepen het risico het te laten afweten, net als computers en ander elektrisch en elektronisch materiaal. Volgens het Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics van de universiteit van Colorado konden zelfs “delen van de planeet onbewoonbaar worden tijdens de omwisseling”.

Maar zo een vaart zal het niet lopen volgens de nieuwe studie van IJslandse, Duitse, Britse en Franse wetenschappers. Het magnetisch veld is in het verleden al verscheidene keren omgekeerd, zo klinkt het, en dat zal het zeer waarschijnlijk opnieuw doen. Maar volgens de nieuwe modellen is dat niet voor meteen.

Indicatie

Volgens eerder onderzoek zouden de magnetische polen elke 300.000 jaar wisselen en de laatste keer gebeurde dat 780.000 jaar geleden. Technisch gezien zijn we dus al flink overtijd. Maar volgens de British Geological Survey gaat het eerder op een indicatie dan om een feit. Want op sommige momenten in onze geschiedenis zat er zelfs miljoenen jaren tussen een wissel. De nieuwe studie wijst er ook op dat magnetische wissels helemaal niet zo onaangekondigd komen als iedereen denkt. Veel vaker nog komt er ook zoiets voor als geomagnetische excursies, waarbij het magnetisch veld van de Aarde alleen maar wiebelt en buigt voor een bepaalde periode, maar daarna weer gewoon op zijn plaats valt.

Gewiebeld

De wetenschappers onderzochten de twee recentste gevallen daarvan: het Laschamp-event (41.000 jaar geleden) en het Lake Mono-event (34.000 jaar geleden). Ze ontdekten dat het magnetisch veld van de Aarde duizenden jaren daarvoor ook had gewiebeld, respectievelijk 49.000 en 46.000 jaar geleden, en dat de sterkte van het veld toen ongeveer dezelfde was als nu.

Er was echter ook een groot verschil. Daarvoor verwijzen de wetenschappers naar de Zuid-Atlantische Anomalie (SAA), een gebied met verzwakt magnetisme dat zich uitstrekt van Zimbabwe tot Chili en volgens sommigen een rode vlag is voor eenmagnetische switch. Bij de twee recentste geomagnetische excursies waren er ook zulke gebieden met verzwakt magnetisme, maar die hadden een veel grotere omvang dan die van vandaag.

Gelijkenissen

Volgens de onderzoekers zou die vaststelling de kans flink verkleinen dat een dergelijke excursie zich nu opnieuw voordoet en er drastische gevolgen zijn. “Onze studie toont aan dat geen van beide eerdere excursies sterke gelijkenissen vertoont met de verandering in het geomagnetisch veld van nu en dat het daardoor hoogst onwaarschijnlijk is dat zoiets zich nu opnieuw zou voordoen”, aldus Richard Holme. “Onze studie doet vermoeden dat het huidige verzwakte veld weer zal aansterken zonder een extreem event en dat een omkering van de polen dus onwaarschijnlijk is.”

UFOs in New Jersey: What has been spotted above the Shore?

What exactly was that in the night sky over Wall Township on St. Patrick’s Day?

Was it a UFO, or was it something else?

Jeff Wallace, 43, of Wall, would sure like to know. He was driving to pick up his stepdaughter from the Quick Chek on Belmar Boulevard that Saturday night, when he observed three lights in a triangular pattern “moving very slowly” across the sky.

He stopped his vehicle and took several photos of the lights with the camera on his smartphone. The photos are dark; but a triangle of lights is faintly visible. 

The Air Force, which commands Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, about 30 miles from Wall as the crow flies (or UFO), looked at the photos; it doesn’t know what it was either.

POLL: Do you think UFOs point to existence of extraterrestrial life? 

“There’s not enough from the photos … we weren’t able to tell,” said U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Lauren Russell, a spokeswoman for the Joint Base, after copies of the photos were circulated by personnel there.

And with that, Wallace joins the thousands of other New Jerseyans who say they have seen a UFO in the sky, without knowing for sure what they saw. The National UFO Reporting Center says on its website that it has received nearly 2,200 reports of UFO sightings in New Jersey, with the first one reported back in 1930. MUFON  – the acronym for the nonprofit Mutual Unidentified Flying Object Network – says there were eight sightings, not including Wallace's, just in March.

Interest in UFOs has been on the rise of late, with more videos of UFO sightings from Navy pilots being declassified.  One of the more recent included Navy pilots being amazed by what a UFO could do as they trailed it flying over the Eastern Seaboard in 2015.

What’s out there?

On Feb. 26, a person reported seeing a 40-foot-long, disk-like craft with rows of red and white alternating lights hovering over the trees in Jackson, according to a report filed with the National UFO Reporting Center. The center also had two reports from Tinton Falls, one on Dec. 28 — a rapidly falling white-blue light — and another on Jan. 10, with a report of a black, oval-shaped craft.

Of the eight cases of UFO sightings over New Jersey in March reported to MUFON, spokesman Roger Marsh said two of the sightings involved triangular-shaped objects similar to what Wallace saw in Wall: One in Egg Harbor Township three days before the Wall incident, on March 14, and another over North Brunswick five days later, on March 22, Marsh said.

MUFON, which has been in existence since 1969, is a national organization of civilians that includes scientists, retired military personnel, aviation experts and ordinary people who have witnessed things they simply can’t explain. The network catalogs and tracks cases of alleged UFO sightings on a daily basis from across the globe.

Michael Schratt, a military aerospace historian with MUFON, said he is convinced that about 95 percent of the “triangles” reported by eyewitnesses, are in fact man-made aircraft. The remaining 5 percent – unknown.

“The primary focus of my research deals with ‘black budget’ classified aircraft built and test flown by the U.S. military-industrial complex,” Schratt said. “Specifically, aircraft produced by manufacturing facilities along the West Coast – aka ‘Aerospace Alley.’”

Schratt said he has come to believe this is the case after spending the past 35 years interviewing engineers, test pilots and contractors who have worked in what he refers to as the “black world.”

Indeed, most UFOs that people see with any detail tend to be isosceles triangles – much like stealth airplanes. In many reports, the craft are reported to be moving slowly — too slow for commercial aircraft — and utterly silent.

The New York Times first reported in December about a mysterious $22 million Pentagon program tracking UFOs called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.

At the same time as the story was published in The Times, the Defense Department declassified two videos from 2004 off the Southern California coast that were recorded by cameras aboard U.S. Navy fighter jets, which included the simultaneous audio of the radio communications between the pilots.

Pilots David Fravor and Jim Slaight, who were flying in F/A-18F Super Hornets, had described seeing an oval-shaped object hovering above the sea below them, USA Today reported.

When they flew lower to have a look at it, Fravor said, “it accelerated like nothing I’ve seen before,” they told the newspaper.

Fravor told USA Today he was mystified by what he saw in the 2004 incident: “It had no (exhaust) plumes, wings or rotors and outran our F-18s. I want to fly one.”

After that third video of UFOs over the Eastern Seaboard was released, The Washington Post published an opinion piece titled, “The military keeps encountering UFOs. Why doesn’t the Pentagon care?” which was penned by Christopher Mellon, who served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence in the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations.

“The videos, along with observations by pilots and radar operators, appear to provide evidence of the existence of aircraft far superior to anything possessed by the United States or its allies,” Mellon wrote in The Post. “Defense Department officials who analyze the relevant intelligence confirm more than a dozen such incidents off the East Coast alone since 2015. In another recent case, the Air Force launched F-15 fighters last October in a failed attempt to intercept an unidentified high-speed aircraft looping over the Pacific Northwest.”

But not everyone believes the videos are all that compelling.

Robert Sheaffer, author of “Bad UFOs: Critical Thinking About UFO Claims” and operator of the website “The Debunker's Domain,” is a self-avowed skeptic.

Triangular-shaped UFOs are the most common observed by eyewitnesses, according to the Mutual UFO Network, which tracks sightings of all unidentified flying objects.

“They have only released two very blurry infrared videos of objects that appear to be distant jets, without sufficient information to do a really good analysis of them,” Sheaffer told Space.com for a Jan. 9 article. “So, ultimately, all you have are a few UFO believers in and outside government who were able to get away with funneling a few million Pentagon dollars to themselves for UFO research, and have very little to show for it.”

'The truth is out there'

Ret. Air Force Major George Filer III, 82, who serves as the New Jersey director of MUFON, is one of the believers. As a former flight and intelligence officer with a 20-year service record, he said he has personally witnessed some pretty bizarre phenomena. He asserted that he knows firsthand that four-star generals and admirals are briefed regularly about “anomalous aerial vehicles.”

When Filer was stationed in Great Britain and assigned to an air tanker unit at the height of the Cold War, he recalls flying aboard a military aircraft over Scotland that attempted to intercept such an object that appeared as big as a bridge on radar.

“When we got closer, we could see lights off in the distance – kind of like a cruise ship you would see at night, with multiple lights across it,” he said. “As we got, I don’t know, about 5 miles from it – it went up into space. And we were doing over 400 (miles per hour) and I would say it was doing 10, 20 times our speed and it was this huge object. So we were convinced that it was something that was not ours, let’s put it that way. … To me, it looked like a long cylinder.”

Filer doesn’t know who or what is piloting these vehicles, but he has his own theories. If they are visitors from another world, that they may be using the world’s oceans to conceal themselves from detection – which is why there are so many sightings near water, he postulates.

Ufology, the study of UFOs, attracts people from all walks of life. But because of the social stigma associated with seeing a UFO and the assumption that UFO means “alien spaceship,” when it simply means that something is simply unidentified, most people won’t even discuss their experiences unless someone first shares their own, Filer said.

In fact, Filer believes that many more people have seen UFOs than have not – but because of fears about being labeled a kook, they keep such accounts mainly to family and close friends.

The ridicule factor has been quite effective in silencing people, Filer said.

One colorful character from Mercer County, who embraces the eccentricity of this subculture is Pat Marcattilio, 75 – who goes by the nickname “Dr. UFO,” which is also emblazoned across his personalized license plates.

Marcattilio, of Hamilton, is the founder of the New Jersey/Pennsylvania UFO Paranormal Study Group. Since 1984, the group has met monthly at the Hamilton Township Free Public Library to share their interest in the subject.

“I was coming home from Atlantic City with a bunch of guys in my car and the State Police pulled me over at Columbus,” Marcattilio said. “So I pulled over and (the trooper) walks up to me and said, ‘Hey, I gotta tell you my UFO story.’”

Marcattilio believes that the government is not only aware of the existence of extraterrestrial life, but is in fact concealing such evidence from the public. Why? To avoid the same mass hysteria that occurred not far from his home 80 years ago this October – when some Americans listening to their radios became convinced that Martians were invading Grover’s Mill during a performance of “The War of the Worlds” led by Orson Welles.

“I think we’ve gone way beyond that, we accept them, I believe,” he said. “I think it’s time for them to be real and for the government to say that we have galactic neighbors and they’re visiting us.”

Back in Wall, Wallace doesn’t know what he snapped a photo of on that night one month ago, when he said the sky was “clear enough to see stars.”

Wallace was about a quarter-mile from Camp Evans, a former signal laboratory for the U.S. War Department, when he first spotted the object.  The site witnessed a milestone in scientific history on Jan. 10, 1946, when Signal Corps scientists used a radar antenna to bounce radio signals off the moon.

“I guess you could call me a star gazer. I’m pretty observant of my surroundings,” Wallace said. “I’ve been skeptical about UFOs my whole life, but the lights could have been a UFO. They started moving erratically in a pattern that was not like a plane.”

Wallace said he observed a meteor once, but this wasn’t like any meteor he ever saw. He noted that he had never seen a light pattern like the one he witnessed on March 17.

Then, after he took the photos, whatever it was just vanished.

John Podesta Stars in “Documentary” Suggesting Clinton Lost Because of Aliens

Conspiracy Theorists Wonder Whether Clinton Lost Because the Deep State Wanted to Stop Her From Releasing Secret Alien Files

No, you’re not in the Twilight Zone: That really was Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman and former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta on Ancient Aliens Friday night.

The long-running History Channel series is a haven for believers in the government/UFO conspiracy, alien abductions, and “The Reptilians.” (Season 8, Episode 5: “Could ancient myths about reptilian creatures provide evidence that they are more than just a pop-culture creation?”). The show has even pondered whether the moon is hollow and houses a secret alien base (Season 11, Episode 11).

This weekend Ancient Aliens kicked off its 13th season with a review of efforts to get the federal government to release its treasure trove of documents and data on what really happened at Roswell, Area 51, etc.

And there—in between artist renditions of flying saucers and interviews with UFO conspiracy theorists like Georgio Tsoukalos and Stephen Bassett—was well-known Democrat politico John Podesta.  Among the conspiracies promoted in this new (ahem) “documentary” is the suggestion that the real reason Hillary lost an impossible-to-lose campaign in 2016 wasn’t the Russians or the FBI.

It was aliens.

As conspiracy-debunker Jason Colavito says in his review of the episode:

“The show speculates that Clinton would have led a UFO disclosure movement had she won the presidency in 2016, and there is a strange implication that ‘the CIA and the Pentagon were worried about Hillary Clinton’ and therefore arranged for her to lose the election.”

John Podesta’s obsession with alien encounters and government disclosure is no secret. The Washington Postand others have written about it in the past. And video of Podesta’s 2002 appearance in a press event urging the government to release all its UFO files has a staple of “The Truth Is Out There” documentary industry.

Podesta’s passion has even made an appearance in the #Russiagate story, as InsideSources has reported. Among the Podesta emails released by Wikileaks during the 2016 campaign were several from Blink-182 front man (and UFO activist) Tom DeLonge referencing “Classified Science,” “DOD topics” and Roswell.

What is unusual about the latest Ancient Aliens episode (“The UFO Conspiracy”) is Podesta’s decision to sit down for an on-camera interview, participating directly in the program.

“Right after I left law school, I started working on that at the Department of Justice then at the Senate Judiciary Committee, and then when I worked for President Clinton’s White House,” Podesta says to the camera. “I was one of the people spearheading an initiative to declassify what turned out to be over a billion pages of documents that were resident at the national archives in President Clinton’s case. I think he was interested in the phenomenon.”

Podesta also discusses supposedly alien materials found at alleged UFO crash sites, materials currently in the possession of budget-hotel-billionaire-turned-aerospace-exec Robert Bigelow. “There were also indications that there were certain polymers that were discovered at crash sites that were unexplained and reviewed,” Podesta claims.

Podesta’s expertise on polymers may be suspect, but he knows his politics. In fact, there are a surprising number of political names in the episode: The Clintons; former Senators Harry Reid, Daniel Inouye and Ted Stevens; George Stephanopoulos, even President Obama who, the History Channel reminds us, oversaw the CIA’s release of 13 million documents, many of which related to the UFO issue.

These document dumps, according to conspiracy-theorist Bennett, are “all part of an effort to move us in a direction that we can accept as a society [the fact that] extraterrestrials are here and have been here for thousands of years.”

But are we ready?  “Secretary Clinton was also interested in the topic” of releasing UFO documentation and was very open about that fact “if elected, she would have ordered a more thorough declassification review,” Podesta says.

After this statement from Hillary’s campaign manager, the show’s narrator intones: “Many believe that if Clinton had won, there would have been a seismic shift from the government’s long-held policy of secrecy concerning UFO investigations to a new policy of full disclosure.”

Is this the answer to Hillary’s question “What Happened?” That’s certainly the documentary makers’ implication:

“The CIA, the Pentagon, they were worried about Hillary Clinton…winning the presidency and going to the Pentagon and basically saying, ‘you’re going to get me the information I need to disclose the extraterrestrial presence, or I’m going to fire every single one of you,’” Bassett says.

He’s followed by Linda Moulton Howe, whose previous work includes “Neil Armstrong’s Secret: UFO’s on the Moon?”

“As this year of 2016 went forward. We all expected that this headline that we’ve been waiting for that is going to break,” she said. “John Podesta was trying to get ready to open up [the fact] that we’re not alone in the universe.”

“All of that crashed when a different person became president of the United States,” Howe said.

Was Hillary Clinton’s historic loss engineered by shadowy government figures afraid she would expose their relationship with our alien overlords? Was the real villain of 2016 the “Cigarette-Smoking Man?”

The truth it out there. On cable TV. And it stars John Podesta.

Do you have a brain implant? If so, you may want to step away from the window during an electrical storm. A new medical report details the experience of a woman being treated for a mysterious nerve condition with deep brain stimulation whose implant was shut down by a lightning strike which also knock out her TV and air conditioner – which were her main concerns until she noticed the neck problem the implant was controlling suddenly returned. While this could be serious and possibly fatal, is this also a cure for abductees who suspect they were given implants? (Asking for a friend.)

The current edition of the Journal of Neurosurgery recounts the strange and potentially life-threatening experience of a 66-year-old woman in Slovenia who was suffering from neck dystonia – a rare and painful disorder where the neck muscles contract involuntarily, causing them to twist the entire head uncontrollably from side-to-side and front-to-back. The constant movement causes stress in the face, jaws, arms and other body parts, and bone spurs on the spine that result in numbness and weakness in the arms and legs. While medications and therapy can reduce the pain and symptoms, there is no known cure for the mysterious disease. However, deep brain stimulation – where a wire is inserted through a hole in the skull to direct electrical impulses to the part of the brain that controls movement – is effective in stopping the muscle contractions. This type of treatment helped the Slovenian sufferer for five years … until the lightning struck.

“The patient was not charging the battery of her IPG during the event, and the recharger for the IPG was disconnected from the power supply during the storm. The recharger and IPG were therefore not destroyed. The patient realized that something was wrong only 1 hour after the storm subsided, when the dystonic tremor in her neck reappeared.”

The patient was able to quickly get to a nearby clinic. The POR (Power On Reset) warning appeared on the device’s display but the battery had held its charge and nothing else appeared to be damaged. As every technical help desk operator will promise you, the system came back after hitting “reset” – immediately stopping the tremors and the subsequent pain.

Things may have turned out differently and probably fatally if she was charging the device during the lightning hit  by holding the recharger over her skin. Instead, it was the power surge in the air that knocked it cold. With these types of medical devices becoming more common, concerns increase for shutdowns by electrical interference. It’s not just lightning either.

“Patients should be regularly warned to avoid environmental sources that generate strong EMFs, such as arc welding equipment, electronic power generators, electrical substations, ham radio antennas, power lines, microwave communication transmitters, industrial furnaces, induction heaters, resistance welders, and transmission towers for television and radio signals. [Also] medical devices that generate strong EMFs, such as MRI units, cardioverter machines, and diathermy devices.”

This seems like yet another Nietzschean example of “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” but the places that can kill or injure someone with a brain implant seems long enough and broad enough to make one want to stay home, turn off all devices and TVs and warm food on a conventional gas stove.

Will getting zapped by lightning help someone with an alien implant? Probably not. You don’t hear about them needing to be charged, so they must be powered by something other than batteries. If aliens have figured out how to travel to Earth and abduct humans for the purpose of inserting implants, they’ve no doubt figure out how to block strong EMFs.

The best solution for alien implantees may be finding a sympathetic doctor with really long and thin needle-nose pliers or playing football.

Mystery: The Moon giving off a Beam of Light!

On May 1, 2018 Jason Maggard filmed the moon about an hour after sunset what he called as the most amazing moon rise ever.

Indeed amazing but even more strange, it looks like the moon was giving off a beam of light straight up for about the first 30 minutes after rising on the horizon.

Later on the moon came back to the moon as we know.

Since Jason is convinced that it was not the sun that illuminated the moon he wonders what could have been the cause for this rare sky phenomenon.

Galapogos Island In Shape Of Standing Alien Figure! NASA Photos, UFO Sighting News.

This island photo was taken during the STS-77 space shuttle mission back in 1996. If you look carefully you will notice that there is one larger island that looks like a standing person with an enlarged head. You can even make out an eye, where the mouth of a volcano sits, probably the entrance to an underground base here. Next to it to the left, is another island, in the shape of a face wearing an armored helm. 

 

Many people write off such discoveries as coincidence, but these are actually alien signs that they have placed around the globe in order for humans to one day realize that they are not alone and aliens have been around long before humans.

Researchers Confirm Existence Of Ancient Inca Astronomical Structures In The Atacama Desert

A group of Chilean archaeologists, historians, and astronomers has come across a number of stone structures that may have been part of a huge ancient solar calendar used by the Incas thousands of years ago.

The discovery was made in an area known as the Camino del Inca, in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

Researchers discovered structures known as a saywa.

These 1.20-meter-high columns, which draw a transverse line between them, helped the natives of the region determine “on what day of solstices or equinoxes would these structures be aligned with the point of sunrise.”

Experts say that even though a number of such structures have been discovered throughout the years, scientists did not fully understand their functionality.

However, observations made last year of similar formations in urban regions of the country gave experts clues that their use may have been astronomical in nature. “These structures were astronomical markers linked to relevant dates of the Inca calendar,” the study emphasizes.

On this occasion, through the use of Google Earth and with the support of researchers from the ALMA observatory, “the orientation of the saywas with respect to the north was analyzed”. It was found that they were perfectly oriented and aligned with the sunrise at the autumn equinox and the winter solstice.

“The interesting thing was to find astronomical saywas on the Camino del Inca, that is, outside the big cities, in unpopulated places,” says Carlos Aldunate, one of the archaeologists of the research.

“It was surprising especially for us (…) We work with high precision instruments, but more than 500 years ago the Incas were able to establish solar calendars in a perfect way without our technology,” says astronomer Juan Cortés.

The Inca or Inca Empire was a South American civilization with the most extensive domain in the history of pre-Columbian America.

The territory of the ancient Inca was often called Tahuantinsuyo(“the four regions or divisions”). The Ancient Inca Empire flourished in the Andean zone of South America between the 15th and 16th centuries. It covered about 2 million square kilometers between the Pacific Ocean and the Amazon rainforest, from the outskirts of Pasto ( Colombia) in the north to the Maule River (Chile) in the south.

Maco Capac is believed to have been the first Inca ruler, and he is believed to have founded the Inca empire around 1200 BC.

Astronauts Explain How Space Colonists Could Survive on Another 'Strange Rock'

Did another advanced species exist on Earth before humans?

New paper explains how we might go about looking for evidence of earlier civilizations.

Russian Mars probe 'Phobos 2' sent back images of a 20-mile-long cylindrical shaped object, before losing signal

Phobos used to be one of two moons that surround Mars, and it has been thought of as being something of a mysterious object. It was once said that Phobos must be hollow and this led to the question of whether it was a huge space station that had been hollowed out.

Russia launched two satellite probes that were unmanned in July 1988. These were Phobos 1 and 2 and headed in the direction of Mars. Their chief intention was to investigate the mysterious moon of the planet but was said to be lost while making their way there just two months later. It was said that Phobos 1 was lost due to an error with radio command. The reason for the loss of Phobos 2 has been intriguing, but it did manage to beam some information and images from Mars.

Things were going well with Phobos 2 until it came to align with Phobos. On March 28, the mission control center said they suddenly encountered communication issues with Phobos 2. It was said that Phobos 2 had not communicated with Earth as it had been scheduled to do so after it completed an operation going around Phobos, the Martian moon. So what was behind the loss of Phobos 2? Was it a malfunction as suggested?

Spindle Shaped Mysterious Object Picked Up In Photos

Boris Bolitsky, Moscow science correspondent, said that shortly before the loss of radio contact with Phobos 2 many images that were unusual had been sent back to Earth and were said to have shown features that were remarkable. A report said that the features were either on the surface of Mars or in the lower atmosphere. They were 20 to 25 kilometers in width and did not look like any geological formation that was known. They were said to be of a spindle type shape and were puzzling.

The surface of Mars had a dark and clearly defined shape on it that looked like a thin ellipse. This was different from the Phobos shadow that had been recorded some 18 years previously by Mariner 9. The ellipse seen in the photos showed an ellipse that had rounded points, with fuzzy edges that stood out against the surface. It was described as being something between Mars and the spacecraft as the surface could be seen below. Also stressed was the fact that the object could be seen by the infrared and optical camera. This is one of the reasons why it has not been said that the shape could have been the shadow of the moonlet. It was said that the photograph had been taken when the spacecraft was aligning with Phobos.

This brings about the question of just what collided with Phobos 2. Was it possible that the space probe might have been shot from space as it captured too much information? Another question is what the last frame captured show?

The chairperson of the equivalent of NASA in Russia said that an image seems to show an object that is an odd shape between Mars and the spacecraft. The photograph was shown to Colonel Dr. Marina Popovich, an astronaut and pilot from Russia with an interest in UFOs. Popovich gave information that is interesting at a UFO conference in 1991. Part of the information was said to be “the first ever leaked accounts of an alien mothership in the solar system”.

The last photograph that came from Phobos 2 showed a huge cylindrical spaceship around 20km in length and 1.5km in width hanging around close to the Martian moon. When the last frame was transmitted back to Earth the probe disappeared mysteriously, and the Russians said it had been destroyed.

The cigar-shaped spacecraft is said to be the penultimate frame that was taken by Phobos 2, and it is the object that cast the oblong shadow onto the surface of Mars in a photograph taken earlier.

Brian Crowley, the science writer from Australia, said that the convex cat’s eyeshadow, which due to the overhead solar inclination stopped a shadow being cast by the surface features of Mars and implies a shadow, was on the surface from something that was orbiting beyond Phobos 2. The spindle-shaped object is not consistent with a shadow that would be cast by the moon Phobos, as it is an irregular potato shape.

Another photo that was sent back by Phobos 2 was an infrared scan of the surface of Mars showing rectangular regions that were clearly defined. They seemed to be latticework of straight channels that resembled a city block. It was said that it might have been underground caverns too geometrically regular to be natural. The Russians have been pressed to release data that is more definitive, and they have released a television transmission that Phobos 2 sent during the last moments. However, they had not released the last frames, which were taken shortly before the spacecraft lost contact.

The final photograph that Phobos 2 took before it was said to have been shot out of orbit was tracked down.

We can only assume that it is not just NASA that suppresses photographs along with knowledge about planets; it seems that the Russian space program does too.

Phobos Chain Craters

An article was published in Astronomy magazine with the title Chain of Craters of Phobos. The author of the article talked about the many strange craters and grooves of Phobos. It was said that Viking had found a mystery in one of the most unexpected places, on one of two small Martian moons.

The mapping of Phobos by Mariner 9 revealed many craters and many investigators said that they were just rock chunks with scars of meteorite impacts. A few analysts noticed a puzzling feature, but as they did not have better data, there was little that could be said about it. A few crater pits looked as though they aligned in one or two chains. This was something unusual because crater chains on the moon were usually explained as being volcanic pits. They were said to be small eruption sites strung along fracture lines. However, Phobos was too small to be able to generate the heat along with the conventional volcanic activity.

Scientists are at a loss to be able to explain them. One of the last attempts to photograph Mars along with the Moons was by the Mars Observer of NASA, which was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force. However, NASA also lost contact with the spacecraft.

Could it be that someone or something does not want people capturing footage of whatever is on Mars or its Moons?
