Man vs Machine: Ping pong robot pulls off wins against three elite players (but it can't beat the pros just yet!)
An AI robot called Ace has pulled off wins against three elite table tennis players.
Developed by Sony AI, the robot is fully autonomous, and uses a complex array of vision sensors, control systems and high–speed hardware to respond in real–time.
Incredible footage shows the bot winning three out of five matches against elite players – showing off sophisticated moves including unusual spins and bouncing balls off the net.
However, the bot isn't ready for the big league just yet, losing both matches against Minami Ando and Kakeru Sone, who are both active in the Japanese professional league.
'This research has shown that an autonomous robot can, in fact, win at a competitive sport, matching or exceeding the reaction time and decision making of humans in a physical space,' said Peter Dürr, Director of Sony AI in Zürich, and project lead for Ace.
'Table tennis is a game of enormous complexity that requires split–second decisions as well as speed and power.
'This research breakthrough highlights the potential of physical AI agents to perform real–time interactive tasks, and represents a significant step toward creating robots with broader applications in fast, precise, and real–time human interactions.'
Kung–fu , half marathons and now ping pong – is there anything robots can't do? An AI robot called Ace has pulled off wins against three elite table tennis players
Developed by Sony AI, the robot is fully autonomous, and uses a complex array of vision sensors, control systems and high–speed hardware to repsond in real–time
Robots have already shown 'superhuman' performance in a range of sports, including long–distance running, chess, and video games.
However, table tennis has proved to be one of the most difficult disciplines for bots to master.
'Table tennis is one of the most demanding and complex real–world tests for robotics, requiring rapid decision–making, precise physical execution, and continuous adaptation to an unpredictable opponent,' Sony explained.
'The ball's high speed, spin, and complex trajectories – especially spin, often overlooked in prior work – are central to competitive play.'
To overcome these issues, Ace was designed with three special components – a high–speed perception system, a novel control system, and state–of–the art high–speed robotic hardware.
Together, these components allow the robot to respond during matches just like a real human player.
To put Ace to the test, the researchers pitted it against five elite players and two professional players.
Amazingly, Ace achieved three victories against the elite players, with a 75 per cent return rate and 16 direct 'aces'.

It also demonstrated some impressive skills in the process, including quirky spins and unusual shots such as bouncing balls off the net.
Unfortunately, the bot couldn't quite keep up against the pros, losing both matches.
'This breakthrough is much bigger than table tennis,' said Peter Stone, Chief Scientist at Sony AI.
'It represents a landmark moment in AI research, showing, for the first time, that an AI system can perceive, reason, and act effectively in complex, rapidly changing real–world environments that demand precision and speed.
'Once AI can operate at an expert human level under these conditions, it opens the door to an entirely new class of real–world applications that were previously out of reach.'

EXCLUSIVE - Read the chilling texts UFO-linked scientist sent before being found dead that raise major questions over suicide ruling
By CHRIS MELORE, DEPUTY SCIENCE EDITOR FOR DAILYMAIL.COM
The deaths and disappearances of eleven top scientists have mystified the nation, with President Donald Trump and senior members of Congressdemanding answers and vowing to uncover whether the cases are connected.
Now, chilling claims have come to light about the death of Amy Eskridge, a 34-year-old researcher working on anti-gravity technology, who was found with a gunshot to the head.
She died in Huntsville, Alabama, on June 11, 2022, and her death was ruled a suicide. But four years on, newly uncovered text messages raise chilling questions about what really happened.
Franc Milburn, a retired British paratrooper and intelligence officer who claims to have been in contact with Eskridge before her death, shared messages he says she sent him.
One dated May 13, 2022, read: 'If you see any report that I killed myself, I most definitely did not. If you see any report that I overdosed, I most definitely did not. If you see any report that I killed anyone else, I most definitely did not.'
Milburn told the Daily Mail that Eskridge - as well as some of her colleagues involved in advanced propulsion and energy research - had been subjected to what he described as a sustained campaign of harassment and intimidation designed to derail their work.
He also said he spoke with the young scientist just four hours before her death and noticed nothing unusual.
'She said, "Everything's fine, Franc, I'm feeling okay." She sent me, and others, emails and LinkedIn messages saying, 'If anything happens to me - suicide or an accident - it wasn't, it's suspicious, treat it as such,' Milburn claimed.
Eskridge also purportedly told Milburn she believed she had been the target of repeated physical and psychological attacks - claims he says he documented and is now making public.
Amy Eskridge reportedly took her own life on June 11, 2022. However, the scientist claimed her life had been repeatedly threatened because of her work with anti-gravity tech
Milburn shared multiple messages he had with Eskridge, who expressed concern about being targeted for her work
Former British intelligence officer Franc Milburn revealed text messages he said Eskridge sent one month before her death
Among the allegations, Milburn claimed Eskridge reported injuries she believed were caused by what he described as a 'directed energy weapon,' a device said to emit focused energy capable of causing burns or other physical harm.
Eskridge shared images in text messages to Milburn, apparently showing her hands, feet, neck and back with burns and lesions after allegedly being struck by this weapon.
He claimed that images even appeared to show a scorch mark on Eskridge's home window, where the 'energy weapon' allegedly passed and struck her while she was working on her laptop.
On May 19, 2022, Milburn says Eskridge messaged him to say that a member of her research lab with advanced weapons experience was convinced a directed energy weapon had caused her injuries.
'My ex-CIA weapons guy on my team saw my hands when they were burned really badly a couple months ago, and he saw that window pane in person,' she wrote.
'He said he had built things like that, and that it was most likely an RF k-band emitter run by five car batteries strung together from inside an SUV.'
Eskridge then allegedly claimed that this expert believed the most likely party capable of carrying out such an attack was a US-based contractor or company seeking to prevent the scientist from completing an important piece of research for the government.
The scientist had founded her own research lab and was trying to develop anti-gravity technology, a way to control or cancel out gravity, which could revolutionize space travel and energy production.

Milburn shared a picture, which he claims shows Eskridge's hands burned and discolored after allegedly being struck by an 'energy weapon'
Richard Eskridge, the woman's father and a former NASA scientist who worked on fusion propulsion, has refuted claims that his daughter's death was suspicious.
'Scientists die also, just like other people,' Eskridge told NewsNation while declining to comment further.
In a statement to CNN, Eskridge’s family said she was a 'marvelously intelligent person' who suffered from 'chronic pain.'
Reiterating her father's statement, they added: 'People should realize that scientists die also and not make too much of this.'
Eskridge and her father co-founded The Institute for Exotic Science, which focused on so-called speculative research, including the creation of gravity-defying engines.
The scientist said that she specifically co-founded her research company to create a 'public-facing persona to disclose anti-gravity technology.'
Eskridge said during the podcast: 'If you stick your neck out in public, at least someone notices if your head gets chopped off.
'If you stick your neck out in private... they will bury you, they will burn down your house while you're sleeping in your bed and it won't even make the news. That's why the institute exists,' she warned.
Following Eskridge's death, Milburn launched his own investigation and identified what he described as a troubling timeline that he believes left little time for authorities to fully rule out foul play.
'Why was she cremated so quickly? She phoned me four hours before she died, then she dies, then a few hours later, on the Saturday when she died, she has an autopsy, and then on the Sunday, she's cremated,' Milburn said.
'After she died, her co-workers and her friends, people she'd worked with, they came forward anonymously and said to me, "yeah, look, we were attacked, we were roofied, my house was broken into, my car tires were slashed,"' he claimed.
Milburn shared what he said was a scorch mark on Eskridge's window
Other images sent by Eskridge revealed strange injuries including discolored and burned hands and bloody skin
Eskridge revealed the alleged attacks also caused burns filled with fluid under her skin
'So this wasn't just random events, this was happening to her and people around her, and she was introducing me to the people that it was happening to.'
Before her death, the scientist claimed she had been the target of disturbing attempts to drug her and push her into taking her own life.
This included alleged break-ins at her apartment, cars following her, strangers approaching her in bars with intimate knowledge of her life, attempts to roofie her drinks and threats of sexual violence against her.
On some occasions, Eskridge alleged that someone managed to roofie her drink before a crowd of strangers gathered around her and began asking about her secret scientific projects while she was disoriented.
'A group of anywhere between two to six people will walk into a location, usually about 30 [minutes] after I sit down,' the scientist purportedly told Milburn in a May 11, 2022, text message.
Lesions also developed after Eskridge claimed she had been struck by a directed energy weapon
Milburn said that Eskridge told him that she had received: 'A s*** load of anonymous messages. Offering advice on how to kill myself. Phrased as these crazy, creepy rhymes'
'Then the whole group will take turns one at a time rotating through the empty seat next to me, repeatedly asking me the same questions over and over again,' she is said to have told Milburn on May 11, 2022.
'I deflect one, then the next one sits down. They even all use the same opening line between them all, as if they all read the same briefing materials.'
Eskridge alleged that her apartment had been broken into on at least three occasions, with an unknown intruder leaving clear signs someone had been there, including cutting her phone charger, closing windows and leaving her lingerie on the floor.
In a 2020 podcast interview, Eskridge detailed a plan for the public disclosure of UFOs and extraterrestrials, but feared the threats against her were growing more and more dire.
She said: 'I need to disclose soon, man. I need to publish soon because it's like escalating. It's getting more and more aggressive. This has been going on for like four or five years, and over the past 12 months, it's been escalating, like more aggressive, more invasive digging through my underwear drawer and sexual threats.'
Franc Milburn is a former British intelligence officer who says he was in contact with Eskridge prior to her death
She also began to receive threatening phone calls from unidentified individuals who allegedly tried to convince her to take her own life, Millburn claimed.
Milburn said that Eskridge then told him that she had received: 'A s*** load of anonymous messages. Offering advice on how to kill myself. Phrased as these crazy, creepy rhymes, like: "Take your pills and overdose and this will go away, take your pills and overdose and it will be OK."'
Millburn said Eskridge even suspected that some of her former boyfriends were actually 'handlers' sent from intelligence agencies or other groups monitoring her work, claiming the men would suddenly disappear and become unreachable after exactly six months.
In her texts, she also appeared to reference the 2010 shooting of three people at the University of Alabama's Huntsville campus, claiming without evidence that convicted shooter Amy Bishop was not responsible for the killings of Drs Gopi Podila, Maria Ragland Davis and Adriel Johnson.
Bishop pleaded guilty to the killings in 2012 and is serving a life sentence. She later claimed medication she was taking at the time of the shooting had altered her brain chemistry, but the appeal was denied.
Eskridge added in a text to Milburn that she believed the 2021 death of Mark McCandlish, an illustrator and ufologist, was also not a suicide, as it has been reported.
'I would give a lot of credence to her. There's gonna be people saying she's delusional, she's this or that, just follow the facts,' Milburn said.
Milburn claimed he put Eskridge in touch with the FBI regarding the growing frequency of incidents and the potential use of a directed energy weapon on US soil, but said the case was later dropped by the agency.
Milburn shared disturbing messages he said he received from Eskridge, claiming she had been targeted by people in public
Milburn shared a picture he said showed Eskridge sitting in her home - near the window which she claimed was scorched by an 'energy weapon'
Milburn's private investigation concluded that the 34-year-old had been 'murdered by a 'private aerospace company' in the US because she was involved in the UAP conversation.'
Milburn also declared: 'I am not suicidal or contemplating suicide and if anything happens to me, like an accident or other suspicious event, then it should be fully investigated as suspicious.'
The former intelligence officer's findings were brought before a congressional hearing in 2023 that was examining Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, the new term for UFOs.
Journalist Michael Shellenberger presented the findings to the committee in writing, along with other incidents of government retaliation against UAP whistleblowers such as Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch.
Congressman Eric Burlison of Missouri confirmed that Shellenberger has spoken to House members regarding the case and lawmakers are seeking an investigation by the FBI into multiple deaths and disappearances among America's scientific community.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Eskridge's family as well as medical officials in Huntsville for comment on the circumstances surrounding her death.
A DEADLY pattern: 10 NASA & Los Alamos scientists are dead or vanished, including a UFO General

Tens of kilometers above Earth's surface, high-energy particles from outer space constantly strike the atmosphere, creating showers of energetic secondary particles that rain down from the sky. Approximately one of these particles passes through your head every second, but the "cosmic rays" that produce them are still not fully understood. In a recent paper posted to the arXiv preprint server, the ATLAS Collaboration describes how its first measurement of proton–oxygen collisions at the LHC could help us learn more about them.
Cosmic rays were discovered over a century ago by physicist Victor Hess in experiments conducted aboard hot-air balloons. Today, astrophysicists use detectors on the ground to image cosmic-ray showers and computer simulations of the showers to understand that data.
However, these simulations depend on properties of the strong force—one of the fundamental forces of the universe—which is difficult to accurately model. Current simulations disagree with one another, making it difficult for astrophysicists to interpret their measurements of cosmic rays.
To solve this problem, physicists at the ATLAS experiment set out to recreate cosmic-ray collisions in the laboratory – effectively putting them under a microscope. In July 2025, for a few days, theytransformed the LHC into a giant cosmic-ray machine. For the first time in its history, the LHC was configured to collide protons with oxygen ions. The beam of protons acted as the cosmic ray, while the beam of oxygen ions played the role of the atmosphere.
ATLAS physicists analysed these collisions by measuring the tracks left in the experiment from electrically charged particles (yellow lines in the event display above). They measured key properties of the collision, including how often the particles were created, how many were created, and the energies and angles at which they flew out.
Figure 1 shows the measured number of charged particles compared to simulations typically used to interpret data from cosmic-ray observatories. These simulations, which are tuned to reproduce previous data from collisions of protons and heavier nuclei, disagree with one another. The new measurements achieve a precision at the level of a few percent, significantly improving the knowledge of proton-oxygen collisions. ATLAS physicists now pass the baton to theorists, who can use this input to refine their models to better match experimental measurements.
These results establish a novel way to use the LHC as a cosmic-ray laboratory, opening the path for detailed experimental studies of proton-oxygen interactions. This can help shed light on the mysterious high-energy particles arriving from the cosmos.
Figure 1: Graph showing how often proton-oxygen collision events are measured for the number of charged particles on the horizontal axis. Black circles show data with the shaded band being its uncertainty. Lines show predictions from various computer simulation models. The lower panel shows how different the models are from data with ATLAS-measurement uncertainties given by the shaded band.
(Image: ATLAS Collaboration/CERN)
In part to help improve these simulations, the LHC was configured to collide protons with oxygen ions for the first time in July 2025. This meant physicists could study "recreated" cosmic-ray collisions in more detail. The beam of protons acted as a cosmic ray, while the beam of oxygen ions played the role of Earth's atmosphere, which is composed primarily of nitrogen and oxygen.
The new paper describes how ATLAS physicists analyzed these collisions by measuring the tracks left in the experiment from electrically charged particles. They measured key properties of the collision, including how often the particles were created, how many were created, and the energies and angles at which they flew out.
They then compared the measured distributions of charged particles with the numbers predicted by various simulations typically used to interpret data from cosmic-ray observatories. These simulations, which are tuned to reproduce data from previous collisions of protons with heavier nuclei, disagree with one another.
The new ATLAS measurements achieve a precision level of a few percent, significantly improving knowledge of proton–oxygen collisions. Theorists can now use this input to refine their models and help shed more light on the mysterious high-energy particles arriving from our cosmos.

NASA's Curiosity Mars rover has found a diverse mix of organic molecules on Mars, including chemicals widely considered building blocks for the origin of life on Earth. The finding marks the first time a new kind of chemical experiment has been performed on another planet.
Curiosity rover has been dutifully probing Mars' Gale crater and Mount Sharp since the robot plopped down on the Red Planet on Aug. 6, 2012. The car-sized Mars rover is now wheeling about in the Glen Torridon region of Gale crater, a place that scientists believe could have supported conditions that were favorable to supporting ancient life, if it was ever there in the first place. While in the region, Curiosity recently utilized its onboard Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) instrument suite, built to search for compounds of the element carbon that are associated with life and investigate ways in which these compounds are generated and destroyed in the Martian ecosphere.
Curiosity's SAM instrument was able to use a chemical known as tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) to detect organic molecules in the region's clay-rich sandstone. The newly identified chemicals include nitrogen and sulfur-bearing molecules that are similar to the raw material that helped spur life on Earth. However, the experiment can't tell if the chemicals come from ancient Martian life or non-biological geological processes.
The study of Curiosity's first SAM TMAH experiment was led by Amy Williams, an associate professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida in Gainesville. The research has been publishedin the journal Nature Communications.
"This experiment and its results have been a labor of love and science," Williams told Space.com. "This was the first time that TMAH had been used on another world and our team worked extensively to interpret and confirm the molecules detected in this first-of-its-kind experiment."
Clay-bearing sandstones
Curiosity's experiment detected more than 20 organic molecules from clay-bearing sandstones in the roughly 3.5-billion-year-old Knockfarrill Hill section of Glen Torridon. The variety of organic molecules observed suggests that some chemical diversity has been preserved in ancient Martian sediments despite billions of years of diagenesis (the process by which sediment turns to rock) and radiation exposure.
"We propose that this suite of organics represents TMAH thermochemolysis breakdown products from ancient organic macromolecular material that has been preserved in billions-of-years-old sedimentary rocks in Gale crater," explains the research paper.
Williams said the rover's discoveries were confirmed with other instruments aboard. "We iterated on molecule identifications using some of the SAM flight spare equipment to confirm our findings," Williams said. "I think the time was well spent, as we now have evidence that the suite of molecules broken apart by the TMAH reagent derived from more complex macromolecular carbon that is preserved in the martian subsurface."
Mars machinery has detected more than 20 organic molecules from clay-bearing sandstones in Glen Torridon, Gale crater, work done by the Sample Analysis at Mars instrument suite onboard the Curiosity rover. Three drill samples were taken and diverse organic molecules were found on Mars. (Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/Malin Space Science Systems))
Native martian organics
The newly-issued paper explains that the ongoing characterization of organic matter on Mars "is a pillar of modern robotic exploration, as space agencies send rovers and landers to explore Mars' past and present habitability and to search for signs of life."
Furthermore, within a decade of time, researchers have advanced from the search for organic molecules on Mars to identifying native Martian organics.
"We are now poised to address the source of these organics, whether exogenous (e.g., meteoritic, cometary, or interplanetary dust particles) or endogenous (e.g., abiotically or biologically produced)," Williams and colleagues report in the study.
As noted in the new research paper, the confirmation of macromolecular organic matter "supports the possibility that future optimized TMAH thermochemolysis experiments can liberate ancient biosignatures preserved in macromolecules on Mars (if present)."
The results of the SAM TMAH experiment "expand the library of confirmed and suggested organic molecules preserved over deep geologic time in the Martian near-surface and confirm the presence of macromolecular carbon on Mars," the paper concludes.
Different locations on Mars
The scientists say that Curiosity's discoveries could tie into observations from NASA's other on-duty Mars rover. "Our findings are aligned with some observations of organic matter with the Perseverance rover," Williams said.
The TMAH experiment on Curiosity was used to identify cyclic (or aromatic) organic compounds that derived from more complex macromolecular carbon, Williams said. Meanwhile, the Perseverance rover has used a different instrument to find evidence for both cyclic organic compounds and macromolecular carbon.
"We now have evidence for diverse and potentially complex organic matter, preserved in different locations on Mars and detected with different instrument suites. This suggests that organic carbon is better preserved over long time periods on Mars than we expected, given the harsh radiation environment," Williams said.

Future life detection instruments
These new results could be useful for future life detection instruments done robotically or by astronauts, Williams said, calling the TMAH experiment a "trailblazer for upcoming planetary missions."
Versions of the TMAH experiment are flying with the Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer (MOMA) on the European Space Agency's Rosalind Franklin rover destined for Mars' Oxia Planum plain, and on the Dragonfly Mass Spectrometer (DraMS) instrument being installed on the Dragonfly rotorcraft destined for Saturn's moon Titan.
Williams said that the new results can help inform the experimental design for these future missions.
"The TMAH experiment revealed that macromolecular carbon is preserved over long time periods in some of the rocks on Mars. This is powerful information for future life detection missions and instruments, as we now know that larger molecules that could have been made by life can be preserved in the Martian near surface," Williams added.
Next generation instruments, Williams concluded, "can focus on techniques to more fully extract these organics and glean new information about their identity and potentially their origin, be it geologic, meteoritic, or biologic."

Vanished Minds: The FBI Hunt for Missing Aerospace Scientists | The Disturbing Mystery of America's
A congressional probe launched this week into the string of missing scientists was sparked by the disappearance of a former high-ranking official who oversaw some of the military’s most classified research programs, one House Republican revealed.
Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., told Fox News Digital in an interview that he was particularly taken aback by the disappearance of retired Air Force Gen. William Neil McCasland, who vanished in February from his Albuquerque, New Mexico home. His phone and prescription glasses were left behind.
The Missouri Republican said his staff was already working to contact McCasland, who he described as the "UFO general" due to his deep expertise, about a separate congressional investigation prior to his disappearance.
A split image showing missing retired Air Force Major Gen. Neil McCasland in the green, button-up shirt he was last seen wearing and in his military uniform.
(Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, Neil McCasland/Facebook, Kirtland Air Force Base)
"He was on our list to talk to, and he disappeared, so that kind of piqued our interest," Burlison detailed.
McCasland is one of the 11 individuals working in nuclear or rocket technology who have died or vanished under mysterious circumstances since 2022. Some, including McCasland, have ties to UFO research.
The astronautical engineer's hiking boots, wallet and a .38‑caliber revolver were reported as missing, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office in New Mexico.
Though federal officials have not identified a connection between the missing scientists, their shared field and potential access to sensitive research have sparked growing concern.
Asked by Fox News Digital about whether he suspects foul play is involved in McCasland's disappearance, Burlison said, "I'm not going to jump to that conclusion, but it’s certainly suspicious."
"How many people walk out their front door without their phone, their wallet, their keys, or anything?" Burlison added. "I don't go anywhere without my phone. I don't even mow the lawn without my phone."
Rep. Eric Burlison participated in a Republican Study Committee news conference unveiling its fiscal year 2025 budget proposal at the U.S. Capitol on March 21, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
"So it's just really, really strange that in about a five-month period of time, four or five people walked out their front door and never returned, and were all doing advanced aerospace research," Burlison said.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Burlison, who helms the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs, opened an investigation into the missing scientists on Monday.
"I want them to determine if there's any kind of foul play," Burlison said, referring to the Trump administration.
The duo sent letters to the FBI, the Department of War, NASA and the Department of Energy requesting more information about Americans who have allegedly vanished. They have also asked for a staff-level briefing by April 27 — giving them only a week to prepare.
A spokesperson for the House Oversight Committee said the panel will be releasing updates as the investigation proceeds.
Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, told "Fox & Friends Weekend" that he had sent letters to the leaders of several government agencies seeking information related to the mysterious deaths and disappearances of scientists in recent years.

NASA said Monday that it would convene an interagency effort to probe the missing scientists, but cautioned that it had yet to identify any threats.
"At this time, nothing related to NASA indicates a national security threat," NASA spokeswoman Bethany Stevens wrote on X. "The agency is committed to transparency and will provide more information as it becomes available."
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has also said that Trump is "actively working with all relevant agencies and the FBI" to review the cases and identify any potential connections.

One of the leading voices pushing for UFO disclosure has made a shocking connection between an ancient biblical text and the existence of alien life.
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna of Florida recently posted two cryptic messages on X, one telling people to 'Read the book of Enoch' and the other displaying the 15th-century painting nicknamed the 'Madonna of the UFO.'
It is the latest reference the chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee's hearings on UFOs has made to the Book of Enoch while speaking about extraterrestrials and alien spacecraft.
The book is an ancient Jewish religious text, written in stages between 300 and 100 BC, attributed to the biblical figure Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. However, it has often been viewed as controversial and is not part of the standard Bible used by most Jews, Protestants or Catholics.
The core story in Enoch's 'Book of the Watchers' describes how a group of angels descended to Earth to mate with human women, who gave birth to a race of giants before the biblical flood. Noah's Ark survived.
Luna, who has also been appointed as chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee tasked with declassifying government secrets, has repeatedly claimed that this book was removed from the modern Bible to suppress information regarding ancient sightings of supernatural beings.
Just 16 minutes after posting about the Book of Enoch on Saturday, Luna posted an image of the painting Madonna and Child with the Infant St John, also known as the Madonna of the UFO, with no caption, sending conspiracy theorists wild with speculation about what Luna has learned during her UFO investigation.
The painting, credited to Domenico Ghirlandaio, depicts the Virgin Mary in prayer with the infant Jesus. In the background is a disk-shaped object with rays emanating from it, which some have interpreted as a UFO sighting.
Minutes before posted the image of the painting, Luna wrote that people should read the Book of Enoch, which she has referenced while discussing UFOs previously
On April 18, Luna posted an image of the painting known as the 'Madonna of the UFO'
'The truth is in plain sight!' one person replied to Luna's post.
'Ancient Astronaut Theory will someday become Ancient Astronaut History,' another person added.
The congresswoman has spoken publicly about the many meetings she has had with US military officials who have briefed her committee on the possible existence of life on other worlds and non-humans visiting Earth.
Those classified briefings caused Luna to draw a stunning connection between events in biblical times and visitations by what she called 'interdimensional beings,' which defied the laws of physics and were able to move outside of space and time.
Last year, Luna told podcast host Joe Rogan: 'Have I seen a spaceship personally? No. Have I seen evidence of this? Yes. Have I seen photo documentation of aircraft that I believe were not made by mankind? Yes. Is there historical significance to this? Yes.'
'Is there multiple events that go back to, I would argue, maybe even before the time of Christ, that have been documented in text? Yes,' she continued during the August 2025 episode.
Luna would go on to state on multiple podcast interviews that she believed it was important to read the Book of Enoch to gain context on modern UFO theories, suggesting that people may have misinterpreted these beings thousands of years ago as angels.
She described the text as information that had been 'gatekept' by modern religious orders and highlighted the Ethiopian Orthodox version as the least altered copy of this controversial text.
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (Pictured) recently posted two cryptic messages on X, which have been connected to the ongoing efforts for UFO disclosure
The Pentagon has missed its deadline set my Luna to release 46 videos believed to show UFOs flying over war zones
In November, Luna discussed new footage of a UFO with Patrick Bet-David of the Valuetainment Podcast, where she made the case that the video was evidence of other intelligent creatures besides humans who exist in this universe.
'I do think that it proves with this footage that if this is not foreign governments, if this is not created by us, then it does confirm what the Bible talks about of there being other creations.'
The Book of Enoch is said to expand on certain portions of the Bible. Specifically, Genesis 6:1-4, which mentions 'sons of God' taking human wives and producing a long-lost race of giants known as the Nephilim.
Approximately 200 of these angels, also called Watchers, were said to have also taught humans about forbidden knowledge, such as weapon-making, sorcery and astrology.
The Book of Enoch has been excluded from most canons since the fourth century AD due to debates over its authorship, theology and content.
Despite pressure from the White House for full disclosure of what the US government knows regarding UFOs and extraterrestrials, Luna claimed the Pentagon has been continuing to cover up key evidence of UFO encounters.
She penned a letter to the US Secretary of War on April 1, ordering Pete Hegseth to deliver 46 specific clips no later than April 14, 2026, but the Pentagon missed the deadline.
The requested footage included dozens of military-recorded encounters showing spherical, cigar-shaped and Tic Tac-like objects spotted over war zones, oceans and sensitive airspace around the world.

The COMPLETE Story of the Fallen Angels | Giants, Forbidden Secrets, and Judgment
In a one-on-one interview with NewsNation’s Joe Khalil, Rep. Burchett, R-Tenn., discussed recent briefings he’s received on UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena, aka UAPs, saying the public would be “alarmed at why the government won’t allow” certain information to be released.
Burchett believes President Donald Trump needs to get heavily involved in order for the appropriate information to come out: “It’s going to take the president of the United States to step up and say, ‘This has gone on long enough, we’ve got to get to the bottom of this.'”
Despite public interest in the subject, Burchett said some members of Congress “don’t want the truth” and noted a level of “arrogance” among his peers.
Trump’s UFO disclosure plan
At a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix last week, Trump said documents related to UFOs and UAPs will be released “very soon.” The announcement comes shortly after Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said the Pentagon had missed an April 14 deadline to release 46 videos of unidentified aerial phenomena requested in a March 31 letter.
Burchett says he hopes the president will release the documents in a timely manner but added he’s been in meetings where “an unelected bureaucrat tells us that the president is on a need-to-know basis.”
“To me, that should be very telling to America that there’s a lot more going on with this behind the scenes than we’re aware,” he added.
Rep. Burchett on missing scientists
Burchett discussed the string of missing individuals with ties to national security secrets, which he said Americans are “finally starting” to take notice of, because it “all fits in.”
Nearly a dozen researchers or people with links to aerospace or defense programs have disappeared or died in circumstances that some observers have deemed suspicious, including retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William McCasland, who is said to have overseen classified government programs that intersected with UAPs.
No reason ‘why our government should be hiding it’: Rep. Burchett
Burchett explained Naval officers have observed “very large objects on sonar traveling at a very high rate of speed” that hover above the ocean for what he describes as “hours on end.”
“We have nothing with that capability,” Burchett said. “And I just don’t see any reason why our government should be hiding it.”
Burchett added that he recently saw “some pretty incredible photos” at a briefing, which he said the public should “have the right to see” as well.

Massive UFO Spotted Near Military Bases? Bombshell Footage!
Overview
A wave of recent Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) reports has drawn renewed attention from lawmakers, scientists and financial analysts. The incidents, spanning from East Timor to the United States and dating primarily to early 2026, feature objects whose flight characteristics—rapid acceleration, silent maneuvering and unconventional shapes—challenge conventional aviation explanations. While many of the videos remain unverified, the aggregation of sightings underscores a growing demand for a systematic, government‑run pilot reporting mechanism and greater transparency in the handling of UAP data.

Global Sightings and Evidence
The compiled footage documents a diverse set of encounters. In East Timor (April 17, 2026), witnesses at the Port of Dili described a saucer‑shaped craft with a domed top hovering above the harbor. Germany (April 1, 2026) contributed night‑time recordings of bright objects appearing to descend from the sky, while Qatar (March 25, 2026) captured a triangular formation embedded within storm clouds over Doha. North America saw multiple reports: flickering orbs over New Jersey, fireball‑like UAPs in Charlotte, North Carolina, and silent green lights moving erratically across California. A coordinated row of lights over Helsinki, Finland (March 28, 2026) was broadcast by local news stations, and archival footage from Rhode Island (1967) shows a cigar‑shaped “mothership” allegedly deploying smaller saucers. Although some analysts suggest conventional explanations—drone activity, atmospheric phenomena, or camera artifacts—the breadth and consistency of the reports have prompted calls for rigorous, multi‑sensor verification.

Congressional Frustration and Legislative Gaps
U.S. lawmakers have expressed mounting frustration over the inability to obtain reliable UAP data. Recent amendments aimed at mandating the release of classified UAP assessments have stalled in committee, prompting a bipartisan letter that warned, “the continued obstruction of credible information erodes public trust and hampers scientific inquiry.” The lack of an official pilot reporting system was highlighted during a March hearing, where a senior Air Force officer testified that “pilots are often left without clear guidance on how to document anomalous encounters,” a gap that mirrors concerns raised by the Civil Air Patrol’s former observer, Harold Trudel, who supplied 8 mm film of a 1968 cigar‑shaped sighting.
Economic Implications of Potential Disclosure
Beyond the scientific and security dimensions, the prospect of formal “alien disclosure” has entered financial discourse. Helen McCall, a former senior analyst for the Bank of England, warned that confirmation of non‑human intelligence could trigger “extreme market volatility,” likening the scenario to a sudden, global “bitcoin rush.” McCall outlined three primary risks: panic‑driven sell‑offs, a collapse in bank stability due to eroded investor confidence, and a massive repricing of assets as economies adjust to an unprecedented paradigm shift. While speculative, her analysis reflects a broader concern among economists that any abrupt shift in the perceived nature of reality could ripple through sovereign debt markets, commodity pricing and technology valuations.
Calls for Transparency and Preparedness
The convergence of heightened sighting activity, legislative inertia and economic speculation has led experts to advocate for a coordinated response. UFO researcher August Roberts emphasized that “systematic data collection, independent verification and open sharing with the scientific community are essential before we can assess any broader implications.” Meanwhile, advocacy groups are urging the Pentagon to accelerate the implementation of a standardized reporting platform for both military and civilian aviators. As the global community grapples with these developments, the consensus among policymakers and analysts is clear: preparedness—both in terms of data infrastructure and public communication—will be critical should definitive evidence of non‑human intelligence emerge.

The polar vortex is a large mass of cold air that spins around the North Pole every winter. It is not a single storm but a broad circulation pattern in the atmosphere that helps contain Arctic air in the polar regions.
When the system weakens or shifts, cold Arctic air moves south into North America, Europe, and Asia. That is when headlines warn of extremely cold temperatures and dangerous winter weather.
The polar vortex is a circular shape of low pressure and strong winds that forms high above the Earth's surface. It develops in the stratosphere, a layer of the atmosphere that sits above the troposphere where everyday weather occurs.
Meteorologists often refer specifically to the stratospheric polar vortex, which spins in the upper stratosphere and mid stratosphere during winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The strong polar vortex acts like a fence, keeping cold polar air locked near the Arctic.
In the mid to upper troposphere, a related feature called the polar jet stream flows around the mid latitudes. The jet stream separates cold air to the north from milder air to the south.
2. How Does Arctic Air Move South?
When the vortex is stable, wind speed remains high and the circular flow stays tight around the North Pole. But if it becomes a disrupted polar vortex, its shape stretches or splits.
That disruption can send cold air southward into the eastern United States, southern Canada, and even central North America. Arctic air moves in large waves along the jet stream, creating low pressure areas that trigger snow, freezing temperatures and extreme weather.
A strong, high-pressure system in the Arctic can also shift weather patterns. Instead of staying confined to higher latitudes, cold polar air spills into regions that normally experience milder winter conditions.
3. What Is Sudden Stratospheric Warming?
One of the biggest drivers of a disrupted polar vortex is sudden stratospheric warming. This event occurs when rapid warming develops in the stratosphere over the Arctic.
Temperatures in that layer can rise dramatically in just a few days. As warming spreads, the polar vortex weakens, and wind patterns can change direction.
Scientists monitor these changes closely. According to the NOAA, stratospheric warming events can influence winter weather weeks later across the mid latitudes, including parts of Europe and the eastern United States.
These events often happen in January or February, though they can occur earlier or later in the season. Forecasters watch for signs of instability.
4. How Does a Polar Vortex Impact the Weather?
When cold Arctic air pushes south, the surface feels it immediately. Temperatures plunge below normal, and strong winds create dangerous wind chill.
The National Weather Service tracks these outbreaks and issues alerts for cold weather hazards. Snow, icy roads and power outages can occur as low pressure systems form along the polar jet stream.
In the North Atlantic, shifts in pressure patterns can alter storm tracks. Parts of Europe and Asia may experience unusual cold spells, while other regions stay relatively mild.
5. Is the Polar Vortex a Recent Phenomenon?
The polar vortex itself is not new. It forms every winter in the Northern Hemisphere. What makes headlines is when its structure changes and allows cold air to escape the Arctic.
Understanding how the vortex interacts with the stratosphere, jet stream and lower atmosphere helps scientists predict winter conditions more accurately.
It also reminds us that extreme cold in January does not mean global temperatures are falling. It means air that usually stays near the pole has shifted south.

Humanoid robots replicate humans' movements, but with more precise dexterity and greater strength. IM Imagery / Shutterstock
Humanoid robots are machines designed to resemble the human body and replicate some humanlike abilities. Engineers in humanoid robotics build machines with arms, legs, and sensors that allow them to perform tasks in environments built for human beings.
Unlike many traditional industrial robots used in factories, humanoid robots aim to work alongside humans in real world settings. Their humanlike structure helps them open doors, use tools, and interact with human operators.
Rapid advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robot hardware are pushing these systems from science fiction into reality. Researchers now test advanced humanoid robot platforms in homes, workplaces and public spaces.
Most humanoid robots copy the basic body plan of their human counterparts. Engineers design them with a torso, head, robotic arms, and bipedal robots legs that allow humanlike movements.
Complex mechanical components and motors give these machines many degrees of freedom, meaning they can move joints in multiple directions. This flexibility helps robots perform complex tasks that require human dexterity.
Sensors such as cameras, tactile sensing systems and force/torque sensors allow a robot to detect objects, adjust its grip, and maintain balance in complex environments.
2. Artificial Intelligence and Control Systems
Modern humanoid robot designed systems rely heavily on artificial intelligence. AI models help robots understand surroundings, track objects, and plan actions.
Developers train AI models using machine learning techniques such as imitation learning and reinforcement learning. These methods allow robots to learn new skills by observing humans or experimenting with actions.
Data pipelines and control systems process information from sensors so the robot can react in real time. This tracking ability helps humanoid robots navigate unstructured environments and maintain safe human robot interaction.
3. Companies Building Advanced Humanoid Robots
Several companies and research groups are developing humanoid robotics platforms. Boston Dynamics has explored agile robots capable of moving through difficult terrain.
Agility Robotics created Digit robots designed for tasks such as carrying packages and moving totes in warehouses. Pal Robotics builds humanoid service robot systems used as development platforms for research.
Other humanoid robots come from companies such as SoftBank Robotics, Hanson Robotics, and Engineered Arts. These machines often focus on social robot roles, customer service roles, or public demonstrations that showcase facial expressions and communication abilities.
4. What Humanoid Robots Can Do
Humanoid robots can perform some manual tasks that once required human workers. Robotic arms and motor control allow some humanoid robots to manipulate tools or handle objects.
Developers are training robots to help with household tasks such as cleaning or organizing items. In industrial settings, autonomous robots may assist humans with assembling parts, transporting materials, or monitoring equipment.
Some robots can also be controlled remotely using remote control systems. Human operators guide the machine while the robot provides mobility and strength in dangerous or distant environments.
5. The Future of Humanoid Robotics
Many experts believe the first wave of humanoid robots will appear in workplaces where labor shortages exist. These robots may help complete repetitive or physically demanding tasks while working alongside humans.
Researchers continue improving balance, autonomous navigation, and humanlike motion so robots can operate in various environments. Advances in greater dexterity and machine perception may allow robots to interact more naturally with people.
While fully autonomous humanoid machines remain in early stages, ongoing research described in publications such as IEEE Spectrum shows steady progress. As artificial intelligence improves, humanoid robots may become capable assistants in homes, hospitals and workplaces across the world.

High in the mountains of Turkey, a mysterious geological formation sits that some researchers believe could be the remains of Noah's Ark.
According to the Bible, the massive vessel saved humanity and every kind of animal from annihilation during a catastrophic flood more than 4,300 years ago.
Now, a team of American researchers working at the Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat has uncovered evidence of hidden tunnels as described in the biblical account.
Andrew Jones, an independent researcher with Noah's Ark Scans, used ground-penetrating radar to uncover a network of 'corridors' converging on a hollow central chamber he dubbed the atrium.
'God told Noah to bring the animals in. And so these animals would have stayed there, plus Noah and his family,' Jones told GB News.
'What's interesting is that these voids are lining up below the ground - and they're not just random. These tunnels also follow a pattern. GPR is just a way to look below the soil using radar.'
He added further studies using infrared thermography (IRT), a heat-sensing technology that can uncover hidden structures underground, have also suggested the presence of a ship-shaped hull buried deep in the soil.

A team of American researchers working at the Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat has uncovered evidence of hidden tunnels as described in the biblical account
Located just 18 miles south of Mount Ararat, Turkey's highest peak, the Durupınar Formation has only been known to the modern world for less than a century.
According to local reports, heavy rains and earthquakes in May 1948 washed away the surrounding mud, revealing the mysterious formation. It was then discovered by a Kurdish shepherd.
What's intriguing is that the formation sits near a mountain with a peak that some believe matches the ark's shape and dimensions.
According to biblical measurements, the ark was '300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high,' roughly 515 feet long, 86 feet wide and 52 feet tall.
The idea that the ark landed on Mount Ararat has long sparked debate.
While many scientists argue that the formation is a naturally occurring geological feature, others are convinced it points to something far more extraordinary.
The team at Noah's Ark Scans firmly believes the latter.
In 2024, Jones revealed that he and his team uncovered angular structures as deep as 20 feet beneath the surface, features that could represent rooms below a deck-like platform
The researchers added further studies using infrared thermography (IRT), a heat-sensing technology that can uncover hidden structures underground, have also suggested the presence of a ship-shaped hull buried deep in the soil
Jones told GB News that he and his team collected 88 samples from inside and outside of the ship in 2024.
Soil testing in the area showed extremely high levels of potassium, consistent with massive amounts of decomposed lumber.
'However, due to the extremely cold climate, many parts of the Ark are still intact and petrified. It spends almost six months out of the year completely frozen,' Noah's Ark Scans explained in an X post.
In 2024, Jones revealed that he and his team uncovered angular structures as deep as 20 feet beneath the surface, features that could represent rooms below a deck-like platform.
In Genesis 6:14, the Bible describes the ark: 'Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.'
'This is not what you'd expect to see if the site were simply a solid block of rock or the result of random mudflow debris,' Jones told The Christian Broadcasting Network.
According to the Bible, the massive vessel saved humanity and every kind of animal from annihilation during a catastrophic flood more than 4,300 years ago
'But it is exactly what you'd expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah's Ark.'
The team has also performed soil testing, uncovering what Jones described as 'some interesting things.'
'We noticed that the grass growing within the boat-shaped formation is a different color compared to the area just outside it,' Jones said, suggesting this could point to a man-made origin rather than a natural one.
William Crabtree, another member of Noah's Ark Scans, added that a tunnel appears to run from the tip of the formation toward the middle, and it is large enough to walk through.
'The ultimate goal is not just soil test, which is great, or GPR scans, but to get inside the ship somehow,' Jones told Patterns of Evidence.
'Core drilling, getting samples deep inside of it to where we see the substructure, these voids, put a camera in it. This is an opportunity coming up that possibly will allow us to do that next season.
'Whatever happens, whenever God opens doors, we will continue working on the site.'

Scientists Finally Enter Noah’s Ark in Turkey — What They Found Is Terrifying!
NASA's Curiosity rover has detected never–before–seen compounds on Mars– and they're widely considered the building blocks for the origin of life on Earth.
Scientists have discovered a diverse mix of organic molecules that have been preserved on the Martian surface for billions of years.
These include a nitrogen–bearing molecule with a similar structure to DNA precursors – the raw components needed to build genetic material – which have never been found on the Red Planet.
The rover also identified benzothiophene, a large, double–ringed, sulphurous chemical often delivered to planets by meteorites.
The findings come from a chemical experiment performed in the Glen Torridon region of Mars' Gale crater, an area that once likely contained water.
It is the first time this experiment has ever been performed on another world.
'The same stuff that rained down on Mars from meteorites is what rained down on Earth, and it probably provided the building blocks for life as we know it on our planet,' Amy Williams, a professor of geological sciences at the University of Florida, said.
'We now know that there are big complex organics preserved in the shallow subsurface of Mars, and that holds a lot of promise for preserving large complex organics that might be diagnostic of life.'
Curiosity landed on Mars in 2012 to find evidence that it had conditions that could support microbial life billions of years ago
The sample locations where Curiosity snagged three samples of drilled rock on its way out of the Glen Torridon region. Analysing these samples revealed diverse organic molecules on Mar
Professor Williams was also a scientist on the Curiosity and Perseverance Mars rover missions.
Curiosity landed on Mars in 2012 to find evidence that it had conditions that could support microbial life billions of years ago
Meanwhile the Perseverance rover, which landed in 2021, was sent to look for signs of any ancient life that might have formed.
'We think we're looking at organic matter that's been preserved on Mars for 3.5 billion years,' Professor Williams said.
'It's really useful to have evidence that ancient organic matter is preserved, because that is a way to assess the habitability of an environment.
'If we want to search for evidence of life in the form of preserved organic carbon, this demonstrates it's possible.'
The experiment was conducted by an instrument suite known as the Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM), which has been responsible for many of the mission's most important discoveries about the organic chemistry, atmosphere and habitability on Mars.
Using a chemical known as TMAH, the experiment broke apart larger organic molecules so they could be analysed by onboard instruments within SAM.
The Mast Camera on NASA's Curiosity Mars rover captured this mosaic as it explored the area where samples were taken
NASA's Curiosity rover
The Mars Curiosity rover was initially launched from Cape Canaveral, an American Air Force station in Florida, on November 26, 2011.
After embarking on a 350 million mile (560 million km) journey, the £1.8 billion ($2.5 billion) research vehicle touched down only 1.5 miles (2.4 km) away from the earmarked landing spot on August 5, 2012.
It launched on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) spacecraft and the rover constituted 23 per cent of the mass of the total mission.
With 80 kg (180 lb) of scientific instruments on board, the rover weighs a total of 899 kg (1,982 lb) and is powered by a plutonium fuel source.
The rover is 2.9 metres (9.5 ft) long by 2.7 metres (8.9 ft) wide by 2.2 metres (7.2 ft) in height.
The rover was initially intended to be a two–year mission to gather information to help answer if the planet could support life, has liquid water, study the climate and the geology of Mars.
Due to its success, the mission has been extended indefinitely.
With only two cups of the TMAH chemical onboard Curiosity, success required careful planning and choosing the most favourable location to sample.
While the experiment has confirmed the Martian surface can preserve these types of molecules, it cannot distinguish between organic compounds from potential past life on Mars and those formed through geologic processes or delivered by meteorites.
Definitively identifying signs of past life would require returning rock samples to Earth.
The promising results, published in the journal Nature Communications, come as future missions — including the Rosalind Franklin mission to Mars and the Dragonfly expedition to Saturn's moon Titan — plan to bring the TMAH test onboard to search for organic compounds.
Last year, NASA announced a sample collected by the Perseverance rover was the 'clearest sign of life' ever found on the Red Planet.
Researchers had been looking at unusual spots and seed–like shapes in ancient Martian rocks that might point to the existence of tiny life forms in the distant past.
These features, nicknamed 'poppy seeds' and 'leopard spots,' were spotted in mud–like rocks in Neretva Vallis, part of the Jezero crater, where a river existed billions of years ago.
NASA's Associate Administrator Nicky Fox said: 'This is the kind of signature that we would see that was made by something biological.'
The rover's tools detected chemicals like iron and phosphorus in these features, which can form when tiny microbes break down organic material, a sign of life here on Earth.
Separately, scientists have identified two dozen types of minerals that show a dynamic history of volcanic rocks altered by interactions with liquid water in the Jezero crater.
They said this indicated that Jezero hosted habitable environments on more than one occasion.
Rice University graduate student Eleanor Moreland, who led the study, said: 'The minerals we find in Jezero support multiple, temporally distinct episodes of fluid alteration.
['This] indicates there were several times in Mars' history when these particular volcanic rocks interacted with liquid water and therefore more than one time when this location hosted environments potentially suitable for life.'
NASA's Mars 2020 mission was launched to search for signs of ancient life on the Red Planet in a bid to help scientists better understand how life evolved on Earth in the earliest years of the evolution of the solar system.
Named Perseverance, the main car-sized rover is exploring an ancient river delta within the Jezero Crater, which was once filled with a 1,600ft deep lake.
It is believed that the region hosted microbial life some 3.5 to 3.9 billion years ago and the rover will examine soil samples to hunt for evidence of the life.

The $2.5 billion (£1.95 billion) Mars 2020 spaceship launched on July 30 with the rover and helicopter inside - and landed successfully on February 18, 2021.
Perseverance landed inside the crater and will slowly collect samples that will eventually be returned to Earth for further analysis.
A second mission will fly to the planet and return the samples, perhaps by the later 2020s in partnership with the European Space Agency.

NASA prepares for next mission to the moon: Artemis III
NASA begins work on next moon mission, called Artemis III
(NewsNation) — Following the success of the Artemis II lunar flyby, NASA isn’t wasting any time preparing for its next crewed mission to the moon.
Following the recent successful test flight of NASA’s Artemis II mission around the Moon, NASA rolled out the core stage, or the largest section, of the agency’s SLS (Space Launch System) rocket that will launch the crewed Artemis III mission in 2027. The stage departed from the agency’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans on Monday for shipment to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, marking key progress on the path to the agency’s first crewed lunar landing mission to the Moon under the Artemis program in two years.
Using highly specialized transporters, engineers maneuvered the top four-fifths of the SLS core stage, the section containing the liquid hydrogen tank, liquid oxygen tank, intertank, and forward skirt, from inside NASA Michoud to the agency’s Pegasus barge for delivery to NASA Kennedy. After arrival, teams will complete the stage outfitting and vertical integration, and the agency’s Exploration Ground Systems Program will stack the rocket’s components in preparation for launch.
“Seeing this SLS rocket hardware roll out is a powerful reminder of our progress toward returning humans to the lunar surface,” said Lori Glaze, acting associate administrator, Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “This is the backbone of Artemis III. As it heads to Florida for final integration, we are one step closer to testing the critical capabilities needed to land Americans on the Moon, and ultimately, paving the way for our first crewed missions to Mars.”
At 212 feet tall, the completed core stage will consist of the top four fifths of the rocket combined with its engine section. The top four-fifths include the two propellant tanks that collectively hold more than 733,000 gallons of super-chilled liquid propellant to fuel four RS-25 engines. During launch and flight, the fully integrated stage will operate for more than eight minutes, producing more than 2 million pounds of thrust to propel astronauts inside NASA’s Orion spacecraft into orbit.
Building, assembling, and transporting the core stage is a collaborative process for two of NASA’s prime contractors, Boeing and L3Harris Technologies. Boeing is responsible for the overall design and assembly of the core stage, and L3Harris manufactures the rocket’s RS-25 engines. Recent announcements by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman enabled the agency to standardize the SLS configuration, streamline operations, and optimize production to accelerate the Artemis program.
Next year’s Artemis III mission will launch astronauts to Earth’s orbit aboard the Orion spacecraft on top of SLS to test rendezvous and docking capabilities between Orion and commercial spacecraft needed to land Artemis IV astronauts on the Moon in 2028. NASA’s SLS is the only rocket capable of sending Orion, astronauts, and supplies to the Moon in a single launch.
As part of the Golden Age of innovation and exploration, NASA will send Artemis astronauts on increasingly difficult missions to explore more of the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, establish an enduring human presence on the lunar surface, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.
On Monday, NASA is rolling out the largest section of its Space Launch System rocket for Artemis III at its Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, according to a release from the space agency.
While not as dramatic as an actual launch, the rollout signifies a major milestone in NASA’s next mission and lays the foundation for its eventual goal of sending the first astronauts to Mars.
With an expected mid-2027 launch, NASA’s Artemis III mission will test key docking and rendezvous operations required to transfer the crew aboard their Orion spacecraft to a commercial lunar lander, according to NASA. The mission is in preparation for Artemis IV, which aims to put astronauts on the moon in 2028.
“The SLS rocket is the only rocket capable of sending Orion, astronauts, and supplies to the Moon in a single launch,” NASA says.
The Artemis III mission will launch crew in the Orion spacecraft on top of the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket to test rendezvous and docking capabilities between Orion and commercial spacecraft needed to land astronauts on the Moon. NASA will announce specifics on the Artemis III mission design and crew closer to the 2027 launch.
Following the completion of Artemis III, NASA says it has two other crewed missions to the Moon planned.
Artemis IV is slated for an early 2028 launch, and, if all goes as planned, it’s when NASA will put humans back on the moon’s surface for the first time in more than 50 years.
Artemis V, the final mission, is scheduled for a late 2028 launch. It’s when NASA plans to land on the moon to begin building its Moon base as part of its goal of establishing a long-term presence on the moon.

Part of a NASA spacesuit design called the Extravehicular Mobility Unit, the glove was tested at vacuum and minus 352 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 213 degrees Celsius) — temperatures as frigid as those Artemis III astronauts could experience on the Moon’s South Pole. A team from NASA JPL, NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, and the NASA Engineering and Safety Center have collaborated on testing gloves and boots in CITADEL. Elbow joints are slated for testing next. In addition to spotting vulnerabilities with existing NASA suit designs, the experiments will help the agency prepare criteria for test methods for the next-generation lunar suit — being built by Axiom Space — which NASA astronauts will wear during the Artemis III mission.
How to Fly NASA’s Orion Spacecraft
How To Fly Orion
During the Artemis II mission to the Moon, NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman and Victor Glover will take control and manually fly Orion for the first time, evaluating the handling qualities of the spacecraft during a key test called the proximity operations demonstration. This is how to fly Orion.
On NASA’s Artemis II test flight, the first crewed mission under the agency’s Artemis campaign, astronauts will take the controls of the Orion spacecraft and periodically fly it manually during the flight around the Moon and back. The mission provides the first opportunity to ensure the spacecraft operates as designed with humans aboard, ahead of future Artemis missions to the Moon’s surface.
The first key piloting test, called the proximity operations demonstration, will take place after the four crew members — NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen — are safely in space, about three hours into the mission. To evaluate the spacecraft’s manual handling qualities, the crew will pilot Orion to approach and back away from the detached upper stage of the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket.
Crew members participating in the demonstration will use two different controllers, called rotational and translational hand controllers, to steer the spacecraft. Three display screens provide the astronauts with data, and another device, called the cursor control device, allows the crew to interact with the displays.
Astronauts will use the rotational hand controller (RHC), gripped in the right hand, to rotate the spacecraft. It controls Orion’s attitude, or the direction the spacecraft is pointing. If the crew wants to point Orion’s nose left, the RHC is twisted left – for nose right, they will twist the RHC right. Similarly, the RHC can control the nose to pitch up or down or roll right or left.
“On Artemis II, most of the time the spacecraft will fly autonomously, but having humans aboard is a chance to help with future mission success,” said Reid Wiseman. “If something goes wrong, a crewmember can jump on the controls and help fix the problem. One of our big goals is to check out this spacecraft and have it completely ready for our friends on Artemis III.”
The commander and pilot seats are each equipped with a rotational hand controller (RHC), gripped in the right hand, to rotate the spacecraft. It controls Orion’s attitude, or the direction the spacecraft is pointing. If the crew wants to point Orion’s nose left, the RHC is twisted left — for nose right, they will twist the RHC right. Similarly, the RHC can control the nose to pitch up or down or roll right or left.
The translational hand controller (THC), located to the right or left of the display screens, will move Orion from one point to another. To move the spacecraft forward, the crew pushes the controller straight in — to back up, they will pull the controller out. And similarly, the controller can be pushed up or down and left or right to move in those directions.
When the crew uses one of the controllers, their command is detected by Orion’s flight software, run by the spacecraft’s guidance, navigation, and control system. The flight software was designed, developed, and tested by Orion’s main contractor, Lockheed Martin.

“We’re going to perform flight test objectives on Artemis II to get data on the handling qualities of the spacecraft and how well it maneuvers,” said Jeffrey Semrau, Lockheed Martin’s manual controls flight software lead for Artemis missions. “We’ll use that information to upgrade and improve our control systems and facilitate success for future missions.”
Depending on what maneuver the pilot has commanded, Orion’s software determines which of its 24 reaction control system thrusters to fire, and when. These thrusters are located on Orion’s European-built service module. They provide small amounts of thrust in any direction to steer the spacecraft and can provide torque to allow rotation control.
The cursor control device allows the crew to interact with the three display screens that show spacecraft data and information. This device allows the crew to interact with Orion even under the stresses of launch or entry when gravitational forces can prevent them from physically reaching the screens.

Next to Orion’s displays, the spacecraft also has a series of switches, toggles, and dials on the switch interface panel. Along with switches the crew will use during normal mission operations, there is also a backup set of switches they can use to fly Orion if a display or hand controller fails.
“This flight test will simulate the flying that we would do if we were docking to another spacecraft like our lander or to Gateway, our lunar space station,” said Victor Glover. “We’re going to make sure that the vehicle flies the way that our simulators approximate. And we’re going to make sure that it’s ready for the more complicated missions ahead.”
The approximately 10-day Artemis II flight will test NASA’s foundational human deep space exploration capabilities, the SLS rocket, Orion spacecraft, and supporting ground systems, for the first time with astronauts and will pave the way for lunar surface missions.

Deadly scenarios Hollywood blockbusters such as Armageddon and Deep Impact dramatize the threat of an asteroid collision, but they also raise a serious question: what would the real-world consequences be if such an event occurred near Earth.
NASA considers all possibilities Even though it might seem like something we don't need to worry about, there are some people that have to consider these possibilities. Some at NASA take this possibility very seriously.
DART mission In 2022 humanity had its first attempt at knocking an asteroid off course with a spacecraft. NASA's DART mission was to test whether we could defend our planet from a cosmic crash.
Under constant surveillance Every day, space agencies track the solar system to survey the hundreds of thousands of asteroids that cross it, paying close attention to calculate if any of them could collide with our planet.
What could happen if an asteroid hits the Earth? Neal Agarwal has recreated several scenarios on an Asteroid Simulator on his website Neal.fun. It demonstrates the consequences of an asteroid collision anywhere in the world.
An adaptable simulator The simulator allows you to choose the type of asteroid: iron, stone, gold, carbon, or a comet (made of ice). You can program its diameter between 3ft and 1 mile. It also has different speed options ranging from 1.000 mph to 250.000 mph or the angle of impact.
Choose area and launch Finally, the user only has to choose a point on the map to launch the asteroid. The simulator will then animate several different results, from the size of the crater to the resulting earthquake's magnitude.
Science-based simulation The simulation is based on the research of Dr. Gareth Collins and Dr. Clemens Rumpf, who specialized in studying asteroid impacts. The results are reliable and an excellent source for learning about the universe.
Specific and extensive data Like an atomic bomb, an asteroid event creates different waves and consequences upon impact: a crater, followed by a fireball, a shockwave, intense winds, and earthquakes. The simulator measures all of them and provides data on the number of deaths and the affected radius.
Derivated consequences In every category, the simulator explains the derivated consequences of each event, whether the direct impact and crater create a tsunami or the shock wave collapses buildings.
Want to see an asteroid hit your city? This list shows examples of how it would look if an asteroid hit certain cities. For the demonstration, the simulator launched a mile-long gold asteroid at a speed of 250.000 mph.
New York City More than 13 million people would vaporize in the crater if an asteroid this size hits New York City. However, the total aftermath would result in hundreds of millions of deaths. The shockwave would reach the Dominican Republic in the south, Dallas in the west, and Hudson Bay (Canada) in the north.
Mexico City If this fireball of an asteroid were to strike in Mexico City, it would kill more than 40 million people. It could reach most of the country and Honduras in the south.
Dallas When the simulator targets Dallas, on the other hand, it shows a shockwave that would affect most of North America, practically destroying all the buildings and houses in the US and Mexico.
Sao Paulo If an asteroid were to hit the coast of Sao Paulo, the resulting shock wave would destroy most South America. It would cause a 1.1-mile-tall tsunami, on top of vaporizing almost 3 million people in the crater.
Tokyo Japan would disappear entirely under the fireball if our asteroid hit the Tokyo bay. The resulting crater would also start a 1.1-mile-tall tsunami.
Hong Kong Hong Kong would be under a wind wave with a peak speed of 16,149 mph. It would kill more than 250 million people and affect Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Madrid The impact in Madrid would cause a 9.7-degree earthquake that would be felt more than 473 miles away, affecting all of Portugal and part of the north of Africa.
Nairobi, Kenia Almost all East Africa would be destroyed if the asteroid hit Nairobi, Kenya. The shockwave would kill more than 27 million people, and nearly 3 million would be vaporized in the crater.
A fun yet disturbing tool The simulator allows the user to choose any city in the world or even the middle of the ocean. Get creative and learn what would happen if an asteroid of any size or composition hits your city.

Congress formally mandated UAP investigations through the National Defense Authorization Act in December 2022. The Pentagon’s official UAP investigative body, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, AARO, now carries a caseload exceeding 2,000 reports dating back to 1945. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed this figure earlier this year.
The cases were submitted by military personnel, pilots and government employees describing aerial objects that could not be explained as known aircraft, drones or weather phenomena. Governments in Japan, France, Brazil and Canada also have their own formal UAP investigation programs.
Filmmaker James Fox organized a press conference on UAP and UFO encounters, held at the National Press Club on Jan. 20, 2026, in Washington, D.C. It focused on a 1996 suspected UFO crash in Brazil.Kevin Dietsch/Getty Images
Yet modern research universities remain almost entirely absent from this conversation. No major university has established a dedicated UAP research center. No federal science agency offers competitive grants for UAP inquiry. No doctoral programs train researchers in UAP methodology. The gap between what governments openly acknowledge and what universities are willing to study is, at this point, difficult to explain on purely intellectual grounds.
I have navigated this gap while conducting my own UAP research. My work developing the temporal aerospace correlation tool, a standardized framework for correlating civilian UAP sighting reports with documented rocket launch activity from Cape Canaveral, is currently under peer review at Limina: The Journal of UAP Studies.
Designing that framework meant making methodological decisions without community standards, without institutional funding and without the professional infrastructure many researchers in established fields take for granted. What is missing is not interest or data – it is the shared scaffolding that turns isolated curiosity into cumulative science.
Stigma is measurable
The most rigorous evidence for the gap between faculty interest in UAP and faculty willingness to study it comes from peer-reviewed studies by Marissa Yingling, Charlton Yingling and Bethany Bell, published in the scholarly journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communications.
Across 14 disciplines at 144 major U.S. research universities, 1,460 faculty responded to their 2023 national survey. Most surveyed believed UAP research was important. Curiosity outweighed skepticism in every discipline that was part of the study. Nearly one-fifth had personally observed something aerial they could not identify. Yet fewer than 1% had ever conducted UAP-related research.
The gap was not explained by intellectual dismissal, but it was in part explained by fear. Researchers were not primarily deterred by intellectual skepticism because they doubted the topic’s merits. Instead, they feared they might lose funding, face ridicule from colleagues or find their careers quietly derailed. Faculty reported being told to “be careful.”
A 2024 follow-up study found that roughly 28% said they might vote against a colleague’s tenure case for conducting UAP research, even when they personally believed the topic warranted study.
Historian and philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn argued that scientific communities suppress anomalous questions not because those questions are unanswerable, but because they fall outside the boundaries the community has collectively decided are worth investigating.
For UAP researchers, the data and tools to study the phenomenon exist. What may not exist is social permission to use them without professional consequence.
Creating an academic discipline
Academic disciplines do not emerge spontaneously. They require dedicated journals, agreed-upon methods, graduate programs and professional societies.
The history of cognitive neuroscience demonstrates how disciplines emerge. Before the 1980s, researchers at the intersection of neuroscience and cognitive psychology faced resistance from both parent disciplines.
These fields achieved mainstream acceptance only after targeted funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, new brain-imaging tools and the gradual formation of academic programs that created career pathways for researchers. Researchers at the nexus of these fields did not wait for central questions to be resolved. They built infrastructure, and the infrastructure made progress possible.
UAP studies as a discipline is developing some of these elements, but largely outside universities. The Society for UAP Studies, a nonprofit of scholars and researchers, operates Limina as a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal and has convened international symposia drawing researchers from physics, philosophy of science and the social sciences. But a nonprofit scholarly society without tenured faculty does not constitute a discipline.
New academic disciplines are built on research collaborations. Stigma around a topic can stop researchers from sharing their ideas.fizkes/iStock via Getty Images
To turn UAP studies into a recognized academic field would require three things.
First, funding. The Yingling studies found that competitive research grants would do more to unlock faculty participation than any other single factor. Without grants, researchers cannot hire students to assist them, maintain instruments or sustain the multiyear projects that produce meaningful results.
Second, shared methodological standards – these would entail agreed-upon procedures for collecting, recording and evaluating UAP reports – would mean findings from one research group can be compared and built upon by others.
Third, institutions could publicly affirm that they will evaluate appropriately rigorous UAP scholarship on its scientific merits during tenure reviews. Several universities have already done this for gun violence research and psychedelic-assisted therapy studies.
These are not isolated examples. Research into near-death experiences and adverse childhood experiences followed similar trajectories, moving from being a professional liability to mainstream legitimacy after the removal of institutional barriers.
The international comparison
This gap in UAP scholarship is unique to the United States. France’s GEIPAN, a dedicated investigation unit within its national space agency, has operated since 1977. It has publicly archived approximately 5,300 French UAP cases, of which about 2% to 3% remain unexplained after rigorous analysis.
None of these actions has produced a corresponding response from American research universities. Universities provide independent, peer-reviewed analyses that government programs structurally cannot.
Congress has passed legislation, the Pentagon is reporting on its investigations, and the president has directed federal agencies to begin releasing records. So the question no longer is whether governments take UAP seriously – it is whether universities will follow, and which ones will get there first.

NASA holds public meetings about UFO or UAP sightings
The upcoming UFO declassification is legally mandated by a National Defense Authorization Act provision. This statutory mechanism bypasses Pentagon gatekeepers, forcing immediate public disclosure.

The NDAA Statutory Mandate
The current declassification push relies on specific provisions buried within recent National Defense Authorization Acts (NDAA). These clauses legally mandate the systematic declassification of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) records, establishing a statutory timeline that the Pentagon cannot arbitrarily delay.
(Photograph: Wikimedia Commons)
Bypassing Normal Oversight
Traditionally, the Department of Defense uses classification protocols to stonewall Congressional oversight committees. However, the UAP Disclosure provisions created a unique legal loophole: they mandate the automatic transfer of legacy UAP records directly to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), effectively stripping the Pentagon of its role as the final gatekeeper.

The 'Unacknowledged SAP' Financial Trap
The legislation explicitly targets Unacknowledged Special Access Programs (USAPs). By law, any government or contractor program dealing with UAPs that has not been explicitly reported to the Congressional ‘Gang of Eight’ is immediately stripped of its federal funding.
(Photograph: Northrop Grumman)
The Eminent Domain Threat to Defense Contractors
The statutory language contains aggressive eminent domain mechanisms regarding ‘non-human intelligence’ (NHI) and recovered exotic technologies. This poses a massive financial and legal liability for private aerospace contractors like Lockheed Martin or Northrop Grumman who may have been holding recovered materials outside of standard government oversight.

IRAD Accountability
Defense contractors often use Independent Research and Development (IRAD) funds to hide reverse-engineering programs from public audits. The Defense Act provisions specifically close this loophole, requiring full financial accounting of IRAD funds used for any aerospace anomalies, opening private corporate ledgers to federal scrutiny.

The Executive Acceleration
While the NDAA established a gradual timeline for the National Archives release, President Trump's February 2026 executive directive weaponized this existing statute. By using the President's ultimate declassification authority in tandem with the NDAA mandate, the administration can bypass the standard multi-year bureaucratic review process entirely.

Market Implications
Wall Street and policy analysts are closely monitoring this declassification for its market impact. If the mandated disclosures confirm that private defense contractors have monopolized advanced, undisclosed technologies for decades, it could trigger unprecedented anti-trust investigations, shareholder lawsuits, and immediate volatility in the defense sector.

JD Vance Vows to Reveal What the Pentagon Knows About UFOs! | WION
Recently, Vice President J.D. Vance admitted that he is “obsessed” with UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors. He then suggested that what are often identified as aliens could be masquerading demons. As Vanceput it, “I think one of the devil’s great tricks is to convince people he never existed.”
Vice-president Vance is in a growing company of those, including many Christians, who are fascinated with aliens. And especially for Christians, right thinking about ET begins with getting our worldview right on the existence of the natural and supernatural.
In fact, the rise of vague spiritualities not firmly rooted in Christian doctrine has fostered many modern beliefs about aliens. Decades ago, C.S. Lewis rightly stated why we often prefer vague spirituality over encountering the real God:
An ‘impersonal God’—well and good. A subjective God of beauty, truth and goodness, inside our own heads—better still. A formless life-force surging through us, a vast power which we can tap—best of all. But God Himself, alive, pulling at the other end of the cord, perhaps approaching at an infinite speed, the hunter, king, husband—that is quite another matter.
Recently, CBN News produced a documentary that explored aliens in terms of the supernatural. In an interview, well-known astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Rossclaimed that the strongest evidence for demons is asserted encounters with UFOs, and that, statistically, there is a high correlation between those who claim encounters with UFOs and those who have dabbled in the occult or who have had close relatives tied to the occult. It is not surprising, then, that scholars such as Diana Pasulka have identified what some call “UFOology” as a kind of religion, filling a void that Christians know can only be filled by God alone.
It’s also not a coincidence that the rising interest in aliens and UFOs is happening at the same time as an increasing concern over AI. After all, some claim that trans-dimensional, non-human intelligences can use technology to communicate with humans. Between AI and alien life, conversations about demonic activity are more mainstream than they were just 100 years ago.
In a couple of his books, the late historian Rodney Stark observed that early Christians condemned a fear of supernatural beings. Rather, they believed thatSatan’s defeat by Christ was definitive, and that Christ’s resurrection had enthroned Him above any and all other powers throughout the entire universe. That is, of course, what Scripture proclaims, which makes it an important starting point for Christians thinking about things like UFO’s, aliens, and AI demons. In short, Christians are to be people of hope.
Another factor in making sense of the contemporary fascination with aliens is that a naturalistic worldview, even secular humanism in which man is considered the measure of all things, has brought the world to the ironic place of devaluing humanity. There must be other beings in the universe, or else we are the best there is? This drives, at least to some degree, the incessant search for other life forms.
While there is much we do not know about aliens, UFOs, and unknown life “out there,” much of the unexplained activity could be explicable by other, simple means: drones, weather balloons, and government operations. And we must not rule out the very demonic activity described clearly in Holy Scripture, such as in Ephesians. Scripture is plain, that there is a God, that humans are made in his image, and that demons (who do exist) are jealous of that.
In his book Not the Way It’s Supposed to Be: a Breviary of Sin, philosopher Neal Plantinga explained that Christians must talk about evil as if it is a real foe, because it is. We also, he said, should talk about evil as if it is a defeated foe, because Christ is risen. Thus, we should see even the unexplainable with this certainty; that the Christ who has risen is the Lord, who is eternally triumphant over all that is seen and unseen.

Project Blue Beam: The 1990s Conspiracy Theory That Told Of Hologram Alien Invasions And A New World Order
The ideas in this particularly juicy conspiracy theory were considered impossible when it was first proposed, but they are broad enough that they get new life on the internet every now and then.

There is a recurrent conspiracy theory that pokes up its tinfoil hat on the internet whenever some supposedly unidentified something is spotted in the sky. This idea has multiple modern manifestations, but they all center on the belief that powerful institutions – such as NASA, the “global elite”, or international entities like the UN – are secretly planning to create a New World Order through advanced technology. This new order, so the theory goes, will result in the large-scale manipulation or replacement of existing religions and the erosion of national sovereignty in favor of a single, powerful world government.
Does any of this sound familiar? If so, you may have witnessed a bit of the legacy of Project Blue Beam. And while you may want to just dismiss it all as a load of bullshit, many elements of this conspiracy theory are actually shaping people’s interpretations of events and their subsequent political beliefs.
Project Blue Beam was the product of the Canadian conspiracy theorist, Serge Monast. Back in the early 1990s, Monast claimed he had seen secret documents that laid out plans for the creation of a New World Order. This plan was meant to have started in 1983 when the Age of Aquarius was, so Monast believed, due to start.
Now this part probably needs a bit of explanation. For astrologers, the Age of Aquarius is/will be (there is disagreement among practitioners on whether it has happened or is yet to occur) a symbolic new era characterized by a shift in human consciousness towards technological innovation, humanitarianism, intellectualism, and collective cooperation.
However, for Monast and his followers, the opposite would happen. He believed the Age of Aquarius would be a darker era where traditional religions, national identities, and existing social structures would be replaced by a new unified global belief system (the UN was already a forum for this, he believed).
This version of the new era was a deeply coercive and weaponized version of the otherwise hopeful astrological one being envisioned in New Age circles and proposed by spiritual proponents from the 19th century onwards. Monast framed it as a cover story proposed by global elites in order to psychological manipulate the population.
“I have to say that the Blue Beam Project was set up for the year 1983. It has been delayed; we don't know exactly why. But, since 1983 (eighteen years before the publication of this report), they have really improved themselves with new technology and innovations in space hardware and software in which they are involved right now to make their systems possible.”
“So, the goals of the new age movement under which the United Nations operates right now, are the implementation of a new world ‘messiah.'”
As you can tell, this did not happen, and Monast died from a heart attack two years after the report came out so he was not able to explain why his predictions didn’t come true. Side note – those influenced by his beliefs often say he died under mysterious circumstances soon after its publication, but this simply isn’t the case.
But regardless of this backstory, how exactly was Project Blue Beam meant to deliver on this new world regime? An important clue is the above word – “messiah”. Monast alleged that highly advanced technology would be used to fool the world into believing a religious and extraterrestrial event had occurred which would unit and therefore control humanity.
Project Blue Beam would play out across four key stages.
Step 1: the manipulation of archaeological evidence
“The first step in the NASA Blue Beam Project,” Monast wrote, “concerns the breakdown [re-evaluation] of all archaeological knowledge. It deals with the set-up, with artificially created earthquakes at certain precise locations on the planet, of supposedly new discoveries which will finally explain to all people the "error" of all fundamental religious doctrines.”
In essence, he believed that faked earthquakes would be staged to allow them to plant false evidence that undermined all the supposedly accepted archaeological evidence that proves Christianity is true.
Another side note: Biblical scholars and religious apologists often make claims that certain archaeological finds verify biblical events, such as The Flood, or the Crucifixion and so on, but no credible, verifiable evidence has been identified for many such claims.
It should be noted that Monast didn’t just believe this would impact the truth of Christianity, but rather all world religions (but particularly Abrahamic religions).
“Psychological preparations for that first step have already been implemented with the film, '2001: A Space Odyssey;' the Star Trek series, and 'Independence Day'; all of which deal with invasions from space and the coming together of all nations to repel the invaders. The last films, ‘Jurrassic [sic] Park,' deals with the theories of evolution, and claim God's words are lies.”
Monast was somewhat quiet as to how these earthquakes would be created, but he nevertheless held that new “arcane” information will be unearthed by scientists and used to discredit the established narratives.
Step 2: light shows in the sky
“The second step deals with the gigantic space show: 3D optical holograms and sounds, laser projection of multiple holographic images in different parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to predominating regional national religious faith.”
This is the stage that tends to get the most excitement online. UFOs, drones, or other miscellaneous aerial phenomena have become symbols of Monast’s stage two coming into effect. For instance, over the last year or so, there have been multiple reports from New Jersey of lights being seen in the sky. These lights, often recorded on shaky phones, have been interpreted using Monast’s conspiratorial prism, but they are kind of lackluster compared to the grand deity-riddled sky displays he warned of.
Across the world, people share footage of lights in the sky, but they are never accompanied by voices, messages, or awe-inspiring displays. If we are being generous to the conspiracy believers, these small-scale anomalous lights could be seen as the “tests” that Monast mentioned when discussing UFO sightings, but I don’t think we need to be generous.
Step 3: mind control
“The advancement of techniques propel us toward the third step in the Blue Beam Project that goes along with the telepathic and electronically augmented two-way communication where ELF [extremely low frequency], VLF [very low frequency] and LF [low frequency] waves will reach each person from within his or her own mind, convincing each of them that their own god is speaking to them from the very depths of their own soul.”
This lengthy word-chocked sentence introduces yet more technological marvels, though ones that are very much dated to the early 1990s. In this step, satellites will beam messages directly into the minds of every person living on Earth. These messages will be articulated in that person’s own language, conveying more simulated manifestation of that person’s “god”.
Monast didn’t go into details about how this would be done. He merely stated that the CIA, FBI, and other US government agencies have “communications equipment” that could “make the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk”. But rather than using it for this greater good, such technologies will/are being used to control minds, to “torture” or “murder” politically important targets.
It is not clear to what extent Monast’s biblical reference to curing the blind, deaf, or lame was deliberate hyperbole or something he specifically believed – that there are hidden technologies that can “relieve the terminally ill from pain without the use of drugs or surgery”. But he nevertheless believed these technologies would be used to sow fear and doubt.
None of these technologies exist today and much of the brainwashing conspiracies he obliquely referred to from the 1960s and 1970s have, since the 1990s, become widely studied. In particular, the documents related to the US’s (and other countries’) once-secret mind control programs are actually publicly available now. The historical research into this topic has shown that “scientific” efforts to coerce people, replace minds, or create model citizens always failed.
Step 4: the “invasion” – The Night of The Thousand Stars
“The fourth step concerns the universal supernatural manifestation with electronic means”.
The fourth and final step laid out by Monast is a multi-pronged effort to convince the world that aliens have invaded – his so called “Night of The Thousand Stars”. The first operation involves making everyone believe that the invasion is imminent and will affect every major city across the planet. This, Monast claimed, would “provoke each major nation to use its nuclear weapons in order to strike back.”
But this is the trap – once a state has launched its weapons, the UN will force that country to disarm (overlooking that fact that only a handful of countries actually have nuclear weapons to use, and any use would be catastrophic).
The second operation involved making Christians believe that the Rapture is going to happen with the help of an “alien (off world) civilization” that will “rescue earthlings from a savage and merciless demon.” This, Monast urged, was to ensure that there was no “significant opposition to the implementation of the New World Order”.
Another side note: the Rapture is not a universally agreed upon doctrine within Christianity. In fact, it is rejected by the majority of Christians across the world and tends to be the mainstay of US Christian groups, especially Pentecostal, evangelical, and dispensational groups. The idea only emerged in the 1830s and was popularized in the 20th century. So, it is not clear why Monast thought this particular event would be effective for the world’s Christian population, nor what it would mean for the millions of people who follow other religions or none.
The third operation in this final step uses a mixture of “electronic and supernatural forces” to terrify the world’s population into obedience.
“The waves used at that time will allow 'supernatural forces' to travel through optical fibers, coaxial cables (TV) electrical and phone lines in order to penetrate to everyone at once through major appliances,” Monast wrote. “Embedded chips will already be in place. The goal of this deals with global Satanic ghosts projected all around the world in order to push all populations to the edge of hysteria and madness, to drown them into a wave of suicide, murder and permanent psychological disorders.”
After this world-wide haunting takes place, the population would be pliable and ready for the New World Order to come in, as they desperately seek stability again.
Why has it stuck around so long?
Anyone who has made it to this point has likely noticed that some elements of Project Blue Beam are the same types of tropes raised by conspiracy theorists today, especially those on the far right.
Conspiracy theories, which invariably try to explain specific events as the result of malignant secretive forces, have existed within the public sphere for centuries, but over the last decade they have crept further into mainstream political discourse. At the same time, researchers have explored what it is that makes conspiracy theories so compelling for some people, where they originate from, and how to address them.
One of the reasons why Project Blue Beam has been successful is that is deals with phenomena that are a) plausible and b) easily understandable. Firstly, the rapid development of technologies – especially with the speed at which AI is developing now – could make someone worry that there could be some easily choreographed large-scale deception at some point. Secondly, although Monast makes multiple references to the religions of the world, it is clear he was mostly concerned with Christians. His conspiracy theory taps into a pervasive apocalyptic concern for people who are already expecting some “end time” scenario to occur.
At the same time, this idea hits at the heart of the growing distrust of institutions, expertise, and authority. It therefore accommodates other conspiracy theories that are suspicious of scientific achievements - such as antivaccine groups - or the powers of specific organizations - like Flat Earthers.
But there is no evidence to verify pretty much anything Monast claimed. Decades later, our technology is much more advanced than it was in his day, and yet we still have no sign of this great end time, nor any of the terrifying technological abilities he prophesied. Nevertheless, its broad nature and widescale suspicions make it easily mutable, which is likely why we will see variations of it emerging in the years to come.

A 12th person can now be added to the list of those with connections to secret U.S. research who have mysteriously gone missing or passed away. At least that is the stance Congressman Eric Burlison of Missouri is taking.
On May 12, 2024, former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer Matthew James Sullivan, who was only 39 years old, reportedly took his own life. However, officials never made his cause of death public, nor did local media cover the case at the time.
Sullivan was going to be a witness for congressional investigators studying UFOs, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena [UAPs], as the government now refers to them, according to what Congressman Burlison told DailyMail.com.
Congressman Burlison expressed his “grave concerns” that Sullivan’s death seems “suspicious,” implying that the seasoned Air Force intelligence officer may have been targeted.
“Look at Matthew Sullivan’s credentials and his experience. He certainly was someone who was read in at the highest classification levels and knew some of our nation’s most important secrets. And so did a lot of these other people,” Burlison said.
Burlison also stated the Intelligence Community Inspector General found “severe allegations of misconduct and potentially unlawful activities” related to Sullivan’s death.
“The fact that he had been scheduled by the UAP Task Force. That he had been scheduled to come and speak… After hearing about this tragedy, I felt it was worth looking into,” he said.
Sullivan worked for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center as a deputy director at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and also did work for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
The government has asked the FBI to investigate the 12 missing or dead scientists and researchers
“The sudden and suspicious circumstances surrounding his death raise significant concerns about potential foul play and the safety of other individuals involved in this matter,” Congressman Eric Burlison wrote in a formal request to the FBI that he shared with DailyMail.com.
On Friday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the government had asked the FBI to investigate the numerous cases of American researchers and scientists who have gone missing or died mysteriously.
“In light of the recent and legitimate questions about these troubling cases, and President Trump’s commitment to the truth, the White House is actively working with all relevant agencies and the FBI to holistically review all of the cases together and identify any potential commonalities that may exist,” she said.

The fungus that could contaminate Mars: Scientists discover spore that can survive trip to the Red Planet – and NASA's ultra–sanitised cleanrooms aren't enough to stop it
Scientists have long known that fungi are resilient, but research suggests some strains might even survive the long, brutal trip to Mars.
Experts have put fungal microbes through simulations of the harsh conditions experienced during space travel and on the surface of the Red Planet.
The freezing temperatures, ultraviolet rays, ionizing radiation and low atmospheric pressure are enough to kill most living organisms.
But they found the spores of one fungus – Aspergillus calidoustus – survived.
This pathogen produces grey and brown mould and is already known for its resistance to drugs.
It can cause rare but severe and often fatal infections in immunocompromised individuals, such as transplant patients.
The findings suggest the unwanted hitchhiker could catch a ride to other planets and become an invasive species.
And it even managed to get past NASA's cleanrooms – one of the most sterile places on Earth – without issue.

Wiping down hardware is part of the strategy to limit the number of Earth microbes going to other planets. Pictured: Experts working on NASA's Perseverance rover in a cleanroom ahead of its launch in 2020
This study is the first to show that microbes could persist through every part of a mission to Mars, from preparation to space travel to robotic exploration, the researchers warned.
For the study, the team collected fungal microbes from NASA's cleanrooms – facilities used in the assembly, testing and launch of spacecraft.
These are ultra–sanitised, highly controlled spaces designed to prevent any form of contamination and to stop unwanted microbes hitching a ride to space.
The researchers generated conidia – asexual reproductive spores – from 27 fungal strains.
These had been isolated from the assembly facilities used in the Mars 2020 program which led to the landing of the Perseverance rover on the Red Planet.
The scientists subjected the conidia to the intense conditions of space travel and Mars, including the loose, dusty rock on the Red Planet's surface.
And they found the conidia of A. calidoustus tolerated these harsh tests.
'This does not mean contamination of Mars is likely, but it helps us better quantify potential microbial survival risks,' study leader Kasthuri Venkateswaran, from NASA's Jet Propulsion laboratory, said. 'Microorganisms can possess extraordinary resilience to environmental stresses.'
Aspergillus calidoustus
A. calidoustus is a fungus that produces grey and brown mould.
It is a rare and opportunistic pathogen, known for its high resistance to drugs.
This species is a significant cause of infections in immunocompromised patients, including people who have received a transplant.
It has been found to withstand the harsh conditions of space travel and even the surface of Mars.
It also managed to get past NASA's cleanrooms – one of the most sterile places on Earth.
Only the combination of extreme low temperature and high radiation was able to kill the fungus, the researchers found.
'Microbial survival is not determined by a single environmental stress but rather by combinations of stress tolerance mechanisms,' Dr Venkateswaran said.
The study, published in the journal Applied and Environmental Microbiology, builds on previous studies that have identified bacteria and fungi in NASA spacecraft surfaces after decontamination.
'Together, these investigations help refine NASA's planetary protection strategies and microbial risk assessment approaches for current and future space exploration missions,' Dr Venkateswaran concluded.
The major implication with bringing Earth microbes to Mars is that they could be mistaken for alien lifeforms, throwing off decades of research.
There are also concerns that tiny organisms could form colonies in life–support equipment used by astronauts, which could malfunction in a life–or–death situation.
Christopher Mason, a geneticist at Weill Cornell Medicine, has previously spoken of the dangers of transporting microbes to other planets.
He said: 'It is important to ensure the safety and preservation of any life that might exist elsewhere in the Universe, since new organisms can wreak havoc when they arrive at a new ecosystem.'
Experts recently discovered dozens of tiny living organisms – all previously unknown bacterial species – in the Kennedy Space Center cleanrooms in Florida
Experts recently discovered 26 tiny living organisms – all previously unknown bacterial species – in the Kennedy Space Center cleanrooms in Florida.
'It was a genuine 'stop and re–check everything' moment,' Alexandre Rosado, a professor of Bioscience at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia , told Live Science .
Analysis of these microbes shed light on how they can live – and even thrive – in one of the harshest man–made environments on Earth.
And it turns out they have genes that help them resist the effects of radiation and even repair their own DNA.
