Are Humans Truly Intelligent In The Grand Scheme Of The Universe
Are Humans Truly Intelligent In The Grand Scheme Of The Universe
We humans are an arrogant lot. We trundle throughout our days thinking we are intelligent. We (well most of us) value our perceived intelligence. We look around at our fellow Earthicans and can readily see that we humans are the smartest creatures around.
But really who are we to say that we are intelligent.
We define ourselves to be intelligent in ways no other Earth creature can rival. What do we credit that intelligence too? You look at the genome, and take the chimpanzee which is a really close relative of ours. We have 98.5% identical indistinguishable DNA which both humans and chimps have in common. The chimp does not build the Hubble telescope, does not compose symphonies, and does not create iPhones for example. So we must then declare that everything we say about us that is intelligent is found in the 1.5% difference in DNA.
Now lets invert that question, if the genetic difference between human and chimps is that small, maybe the difference in our intelligence is also that small. Maybe the difference between stacking boxes and reaching for a banana, putting up an umbrella when it rains, or whatever else rudimentary things that a chimp does; that the primatologist rolls them forward and boasts about. Which of course our human toddlers can do. Maybe the difference between that and the Hubble telescope is as small as that difference in DNA.
I pose the question, suppose an alien intelligence that in that same type of vector of 1.5 % difference as we are to chimps, suppose they were 1.5% different from us.
They would then roll the smartest of us out in front of their humantologists. They roll out Professor Steven Hawking which is our greatest mind at this time. They would say that this one is slightly smarter then the rest of them because he can perform astrophysics calculations in his head, like little Gorignac over there.
I wonder if we are just blithering idiots in the presence of even a trivially smarter species then us? So therefore who are we even to assert that we are intelligent. We look for others at least as intelligent as us in the Universe for us to talk to. There is no other species on earth that we can talk to. Can we have a conversation with a chimp? Even though we share nearly identical DNA? We can’t ask them to go see a movie or go grab some Tapas. Yet somehow we believe, we want to believe that an alien on a another planet that is not even based on DNA (and even if it is it is nothing like us) that we could communicate with it.
We all have walked passed an earthworm that has just come to the surface, have you ever though about what the worm was thinking? Of course not , we are so more advanced that it would be a non-sequitur. Any alien race that can traverse the endless void of space and time and travels here may not have any interest in communicating with us. May not even perceive us as a life form at all. We may not even be able to perceive them as intelligent as well.
I propose it could be no other way.
Any life that advanced to get here will see us no more advanced as we think of earthworms, or even less. The human created fantasy that they are infiltrating our politics, are shape shifting reptilian humanoids bent on our planetary subjugation is completely laughable. Or at least it would be if not so many people believed it. That is a product of unimaginative humans anthropomorphizing their narrow view of the Universe. The slice of Universal life that we meet will be more wondrous and indifferent to us then we can imagine.
We humans are truly in the special Olympics category of intergalactic intelligence’s. We are just hairless apes dreaming of superiority. We are no where near the top of the intelligentsia food chain. We have not yet begun to climb the rungs of intelligence.
I will never ask you dear reader to believe anything, it will only ever be about how compelling the evidence is to you.
This article is the literary equivalent of heresy. Heresy to the true believers of UFOlogy. It is not my intention to offend any true believers, but to highlight an obvious fault in the vast majority of UFO canon. I have always strived to know the truth about the UFO enigma. I know the vast majority of my readers are of like mind and want to cut the shit that permeates the current incarnation of UFOlogy.
If you are a UFO true believer and believe all that you read and watch….prepare to be offended.
Sitting on my shelf next to my computer is an array of dog-eared books and white papers, that I had as a kid on space, robots and UFO’s—nostalgic reminders of the exciting ideas that whisked my mind away to other places and other possibilities. As I became more educated and experienced in our little sliver of the Universe I realized that a grave injustice is being waged in UFOlogy.
Human beings are obsessed with the possibility of life on other planets. Countless movies, books, and television shows are centered around alien civilizations, and there is an entire subculture of people devoted to the idea that aliens not only exist, but have already visited our planet for the inexplicable purpose of livestock mutilation and the molestation of the barely-literate. Up to 90% of all UFO/Alien cases can immediately be thrown out due to the extreme improbability that they could and would never happen. Take for example the fact that almost all UFO cases that are reported involve humanoid aliens.
Three things are generally intrinsic about human beings:
3. We need things to be about us in order to care.
Thus, in most of our stories about aliens, the aliens come because of us (be it to kill, enslave, or steal our women) or to take resources that are dear to us. Never mind the gaunt, nearly skeletal figure with the long talons and the scorpion-like tail and the mouth full of razor teeth. Never mind the little green or gray men with oversize craniums and oversize eyes and tiny mouths. Never mind the cat-men or lizard-men or dog-men or people with blue skin and strange, tattoo-like markings or odd brow ridges or pointier ears. Why would an alien look that similar to us?
I blame movies and TV for such unimaginative insights into what is possible in the Universe. I also blame the sorry state of education in science. In science fiction movies and TV shows, intelligent aliens are usually the same basic shape as humans: two arms, two legs and a head. But why would creatures that evolved on a completely different planet look so similar to us?
The truth is, aliens tend to look like us in science fiction for a couple of basic reasons: budget, and relatability. When it comes to film and TV, it’s problematic to make a race of aliens that does not resemble humans. Actors have to play these roles. What aliens look like in the real world will depend on where they evolved. An alien that evolved in interstellar space would have very different needs from an alien that evolved on an Earthlike planet.
“Most aliens in SF are humanoid because humans produce SF,” says Michael H. New, an Astrobiology Discipline Specialist at NASA. “While we are interested in the ‘other,’ our conception of otherness is often limited.”
Most if not all Exobiologists firmly agree that aliens would not look at all like humans. For example, life that evolved elsewhere would look totally different from us — and in fact, if you “reran the tape” from the beginning of life on Earth, you wouldn’t end up with humans on this planet either. The emergence of humanoids on Earth is a totally random event that was a fluke, even with the exact conditions that we arose from.
We have to contemplate the nature of a life form that has evolved on a completely separate planet. Even that statement is limiting. Life may be able to evolve on moons, nebula, or on planets that are bombarded with strange sources of radiation. They may exist and function on different time scales based on the gravity that they evolved in. Special relativity makes for very strange bedfellows. It is possible that they could be here already just beyond our perceptual ability. There truly is more things in heaven and earth then is dreamed in our collective philosophy.
It is intellectual ignorance to think the nucleotides A.G.C.T. are the only alphabet letters of life. Assuredly the letters, language, and syntax of life will be unknown to us. Truly alien. That is what would be expected by isolated evolution.
But that is not what we are seeing in UFOlogy. The overwhelming consensus of alien reports in the media and in first hand accounts predominantly highlight humanoid type aliens. Aliens that are structurally similar to our construction is what is usually reported. They may be grey, blue, green, scaled, tall or short, but a humanoid nonetheless.
Consider that on our planet our human physical form is the same one that we share with the great apes. Humans and the other great apes only account for less than a dozen different types of species. We share the humanoid form with our closest primate brothers but that is essentially it. Interestingly Mother Earth has an estimated 8.7 million species with still up to 80% still to be found, according to Nature magazine. So the percentage of life forms on Earth that are humanoid in form only accounts for 0.0000003793% of all currently known life. By any measure and consideration that is an impossibly small number. So the logical conclusion to draw is that the humanoid form is exceedingly rare even on Earth.
So what really is the odds that a alien race would evolve on a different planet then us, find us in the vastness of space, in this sliver of time, and look anything like us? It would be a probability that so infinitesimally small that it would be in the ballpark of a googolplex raised to the power of a googolplex to one. That is a number a thousand orders of magnitude larger than the total amount of elementary particles (2.5 x 10^89) in the entire Universe. Just think about that for a moment.
Now if we think of different planetary systems, the environment, chemistry and the strength of forces there might not have any resemblance to Earth at all. I would go as far as to say, we do not even have a rigorous definition of what constitutes a “living system”. But for beings with “intelligence” to understand and explore the universe, give them a few million years of evolutionary head start than humans (which is insignificant by universal time scales) and they would do all sorts of things which we cannot even start contemplating. They might not even restrict their “consciousness” to their original physical bodies and found out ways to immortalize themselves through machine entities, preserve and operate the “brain” without any bodily requirement and discovered novel ways of “reproduction”. Although not well-regarded for their wits as individuals, the remarkable “hive minds” of bees and ants could point to another manner in which alien intelligence arises — across many individuals acting collectively, rather than as discrete beings.
With the immense grandeur of the Universe still only scratched by our limited intellect makes us a very uninformed species. Life when we truly encounter it will not be a mutated version of ourselves. It will be more strange, unexpected and probably terrifying to our primate brains. If you look at all the cases in modern UFOlogy you will soon realize that almost all of them have humanoid type aliens. You can immediately discard them as wish fulfillment or down right delusional.
I understand that the ideas in this article are the equivalent to intellectual heresy in the UFO field and represent a major flaw in modern UFOlogy. This major failing can be fixed by using critical thinking when assessing a UFO report. For UFOlogy to regain respectability it must appeal and make sense to the non-true believers. We must strive to eliminate the giggle factor and drive toward sense and sensibility. A good first step in that intellectual crusade is to know humanoid aliens are nearly impossible in probablity. A reflection of the observer, not a refection on reality.

NASA has captured something HUGE escaping a supermassive black hole
NASA has captured something HUGE escaping a supermassive black hole
Two NASA telescopes managed to capture the moment a supermassive Black Hole’s corona launched out of the cosmic devourer. The corona associated with Mrk 335 ejected from the black hole travelling at about 20 per cent the speed of light.
Just when you thought things at NASA couldn’t get more exciting bam… they capture a mysterious ‘huge’ mass of energy somehow escaping a ‘supermassive black hole’. Alien you say? Well let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, it is a possibility but it’s quite likely that it’s just another super rare cosmic phenomenon.
Fiona Harrison, principal investigator of NuSTAR at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, said: ‘The nature of the energetic source of X-rays we call the corona is mysterious, but now with the ability to see dramatic changes like this we are getting clues about its size and structure.’
According to writing at NASA’s website:
Astronomers think coronas have one of two likely configurations. The “lamppost” model says they are compact sources of light, similar to light bulbs, that sit above and below the black hole, along its rotation axis. The other model proposes that the coronas are spread out more diffusely, either as a larger cloud around the black hole, or as a “sandwich” that envelops the surrounding disk of material like slices of bread. In fact, it’s possible that coronas switch between both the lamppost and sandwich configurations.
The Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array telescope (NuSTAR) and Swift telescope managed to capture the rare phenomenon in a black hole called Markarian 355, which is located just 324 million light years from Earth. This new observation helps astronomers understand how these flashes are formed and could aid in solving some of the mysteries about celestial bodies.
Astronomers say it is the first time that where it is possible to relate the ejection of the crown with a flare. This helps explain how black holes give energy to some of the brightest objects in the universe.
Astronomer’s stat that the mysterious emission was caused by ejection of its corona, which is a source of energetic particles.
‘This is the first time we have been able to link the launching of the corona to a flare,’ said Dan Wilkins of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada.
‘This will help us understand how supermassive black holes power some of the brightest objects in the universe.’
Researchers state that supermassive black holes don’t give off any light by themselves.
Strangely, according to astronomers this supermassive black hole, located at the center of our galaxy was once one of the brightest X-ray sources I the galaxy but something very strange happened 8 years ago when MRL 335 faded by a factor of 30 said Luigi Gallo an astronomer and investigator ofthe project.
Stay tuned for an exciting NASA astronaut announcement tomorrow!

NASA’s revolutionary ‘propulsion system’ can get Astronauts to Mars in 39 days
According to reports, a company from Texas has been selected by NASA to develop a revolutionary engine that could send mankind to Mars in less than 40 days. Ad Astra's Vasimr engine is apparently capable of getting a spacecraft to Mars in 39 days. This project is just one of the twelve projects currently funded by NASA. Among the revolutionary propulsion system, there are other technologies currently in development, among them are improved habits for humans and smaller satellites that could explore space more efficiently.

Among the revolutionary propulsion system, there are other technologies currently in development, among them are improved habits for humans and smaller satellites that could explore space more efficiently.
Vasimr is short for Variable Specific Impulse Magnetoplasma Rocket.
Remember, there is a long way to go here since Ad Astra’s Vasimr engine is just one part of the entire spacecraft that could eventually take astronauts to Mars. Scientists still need to figure out the type of spacecraft astronauts would travel in.
The Revolutionary Vasimr Engine during testing
The revolutionary engine uses plasma as a propellant and is developed by Texas based company Ad Astra. The engine hit the headlines a couple of years ago when sources revealed that this revolutionary engine could reduce the trip to Mars from months to weeks. The only downside if there is one is that the engine requires a Nuclear power source.
In 2013, the company completed the testing of the first prototype.
‘We are thrilled by this announcement and proud to be joining forces with NASA in the final steps of the technology maturation,’ said Dr Franklin Chang Diaz, Ad Astra’s Chairman and CEO, in a statement.
‘We look forward to a very successful partnership as we jointly advance the technology to flight readiness.’
This is just one of the many technologies currently in development that will allow NASA to explore and colonize space in a much more efficient manner.
It seems that all of a sudden, Mars isn't that far away... is it?
‘Commercial partners were selected for their technical ability to mature key technologies and their commitment to the potential applications both for government and private sector uses,’ said William Gerstenmaier, associate administrator for Human Exploration and Operations at NASA Headquarters.
‘This work ultimately will inform the strategy to move human presence further into the solar system.’

Unexplainable UFO Phenomena To Be Scientifically Analyzed In New Project
Unexplainable UFO Phenomena To Be Scientifically Analyzed In New Project
photo credit: Possible ball lightning in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Joe Thomissen via Wikimedia Commons.
An international team is trying to create a systematic and rigorous approach to studying unexplained aerial phenomena, commonly known as UFOs.
The non-profit organization is called UFO Detection and Tracking, (UFODATA) and it seeks to construct a large network of surveillance stations to monitor the skies 24/7 using optical and infrared cameras, sound and ultrasound detectors, weather stations, Geiger counters, and magnetometers.
"[…] we are going to use astrophysical methodology in order to carry out research on light anomalies appearing in our atmosphere, where we expect to obtain an optimum signal-to-noise ratio due to the predictably high luminosity of the phenomenon and its relative closeness to the observer," Astrophysicist Massimo Teodorani, a member of the UFODATA science team, said in a statement. "In such a way – with precise numbers in our hands – we are in a condition to select very carefully truly anomalous cases from cases that can be explained by prosaic causes."
Aerial anomalies almost always have a very mundane explanation behind them: planets, stars, meteors, weather balloons, planes, and atmospheric events are often responsible for what might appear mysterious at first. However, the team plan to focus on those events that are less easy to scientifically explain, and show what they could be.
A scientific approach of this type would provide a rational answer to various UFO phenomena, as well as potentially delivering a large amount of data regarding our atmosphere. It could also provide data on rare and unusual atmospheric episodes such as ball lightning.
The last few years have seen a dramatic change in how UFOs are reported. The availability of smartphones and image manipulation software has seemingly increased the number of fake reports from fame-seekers, with many videos purporting to show extraterrestrial phenomena easily dismissed as fabricated on closer inspection.
"It has become clear that any breakthrough in our understanding of the UFO phenomenon will require a break from the past," added Mark Rodeghier, leader of the project. "Witness testimony, photos and videos, and government documents have taken us only so far; instead, we need to record and study UFOs directly, as other sciences do with their own specific objects. Of course, this is a daunting task, but it is made conceivable by advances in technology, software, communication capabilities, and power sources."
More information regarding the project can be found on the UFODATA website.

Strange UFO video filmed in Tlaquepaque, Mexico 1-Nov-2015
Here’s one interesting daytime footage of a bright unidentified flying object flying across the sky above Tlaquepaque in Mexico. This was taken on Sunday, 1st November 2015 at 11 am.
If the extraterrestrial hypothesis is controversial, then abductions of humans by alien beings is controversial squared, if not cubed. There’s intense polarization on the issue, not just between UFO skeptics and believers, but between the believers themselves. Is there a person who can share reality story of alien abductions? Famous abduction cases, such as the Travis Waltonsituation, have been popularized in books and movies, along with the occurrence been validated using polygraph tests administered to all parties involved. While this may not be proof positive that aliens are abducting humans and performing experiments and surgical procedures on them, it does raise questions.
Investigators worth mentioning sightings and abduction reports call themselves Ufologists, and now have precise scientific methods meant for investigating the reports people receive. While many of your methods and findings are usually not recognized by the scientific community overall, it does raise this question of why many people would risk their reputations and careers while in the scientific world by becoming needed for paranormal investigations such seeing that these. Logic would say you need to have something to the UFO and additionally separate question, for the property to take such risks. Of course, there’s no concrete evidence that anyone has taken by an alien spaceship. However, there are those who assert they’ve been kidnapped, and their stories are chilling.
After the Sitgreaves National Forest nearby Heber, Arizona, the occurrence began on Nov. 5, 1975. Walton and his six loggers were heading when they saw a 40 ft. shiny disc soaring in the air. According to his testimony, the disc has an enthusiastic and metallic material, making strange sounds. From the time it got close, the more it became scary to people. Fifteen years later, it was being revealed that the trees where the extraterrestrial craft hovered had been producing wood fibers thirty-six times it did 85 years before. The most curious part is that its core has thickened growth, but only in the direction where the craft had been years ago.
Germany’s about to switch on a revolutionary nuclear fusion machine
This thing is a monster.
For more than 60 years, scientists have dreamed of a clean, inexhaustible energy source in the form of nuclear fusion. And they’re still dreaming.
But thanks to the efforts of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, experts hope that might soon change. Last year, after 1.1 million construction hours, the institute completed the world’s largest nuclear fusion machine of its kind, called a stellarator.
They call this 16-metre (52-foot) wide machine the W7-X. And following more than a year of tests, engineers are finally ready to fire up the US$1.1 billion machine for the first time, and it could happen before the end of this month,Science reported.
The black horse of nuclear reactors
Known in the plasma physics community as the 'black horse' of nuclear fusion reactors, stellarators are notoriously difficult to build. This video below demonstrates the construction of W7-X, which took 19 years to complete:
Between 2003 and 2007, as the project was being built, it suffered some major construction set backs — including one of its contracted manufacturers going out of business — that nearly cancelled the whole endeavour.
Only a handful of stellarators have ever been attempted, and even fewer have been completed.
By comparison, the more popular cousin to the stellarator, called a tokamak, is in wider use. There are over three dozen operational tokamaks across the globe, and more than 200 built throughout history. These machines are easier to construct and, in the past, have proven to do the job of a nuclear reactor better than the stellarator.
But tokamaks have a major flaw that W7-X is reportedly immune to, suggesting that Germany’s latest monster machine could be a game-changer.
How a nuclear reactor works
Schematic of the average tokamak. Notice how it has fewer layers than the stellarator and the shape of the magnetic coils is different. Credit: Uploaded by Matthias W Hirsch on Wikipedia
The key to a successful nuclear reactor of any kind is to generate, confine, and control a blob of super-heated matter, called a plasma — a gas that has reached temperatures of more than 100 million degrees Celsius (180 million degrees Fahrenheit).
At these blazing temperatures, the electrons are ripped from their atoms, forming what are called ions. Under these extreme conditions, the repulsive forces, which normally make ions bounce off each other like bumper cars, are overcome.
Consequently when the ions collide, they fuse together, generating energy in the process, and you have what is called nuclear fusion. This is the process that has been fuelling our sun for about 4.5 billion years and will continue to do so for another estimated 4 billion years.
Once engineers have heated the gas in the reactor to the right temperature, they use super-chilled magnetic coils to generate powerful magnetic fields that contain and control the plasma.
The W7-X, for example, houses 50 5.4-tonne magnetic coils, shown in purple in the GIF below. The plasma is contained within the red coil:
The difference between tokamaks and stellarators
For years, tokamaks have been considered the most promising machine for harnessing the power of the sun because the configuration of their magnetic coils contains a plasma that is better than that of currently operational stellarators.
But there’s a problem: Tokamaks can only control the plasma in short bursts that last for no more than 7 minutes. And the energy necessary to generate that plasma is more than the energy engineers get from these periodic bursts.
Because of the stellarators’ design, experts suspect it could sustain a plasma for at least 30 minutes at a time, which is significantly longer than any tokamak. The French tokamak “Tore Supra” holds the record: 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
If W7-X succeeds, it could completely turn the nuclear fusion community on its head and launch stellarators into the lime light.
“The world is waiting to see if we get the confinement time and then hold it for a long pulse,” David Gates, the head of stellarator physics at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, told Science.

We may have just, for the first time ever, caught a momentous glimpse of a parallel universe bumping against our own.
Scientists say that signals from the furthest reaches of space suggest that the fabric of our universe is being disrupted by another universe. The discovery could provide proof of the multiverse theory, which says that there are many alternate universes.
Dr. Ranga-Ram Chary examined the noise and residual signals in the cosmic microwave background left over from the Big Bang and found a number of scattered bright spots which he believes may be signals of another universe bumping into our own billions of years ago
Dr. Ranga-Ram Chary, a researcher at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, examined data from the cosmic microwave background gathered by the European Space Agency’s Planck Space Telescope. Within this glow left over from the moments after the Big Bang, he discovered a number of spots where the microwave light was far brighter than it should be. He claims that theses may be signals caused by the interaction between our universe and another one a few hundred thousand years after the Big Bang around 13.8 billion years ago.
The existence of multiple universes – a multiverse – has been considered scientifically plausible. If all these universes emerged from the same Big Bang, then they’re likely sitting together in a row, vibrating. According to the theory, if these universes touch one another, the resulting collision would leave some sort of evidence. According to New Scientist, which first reported the Dr. Chary’s research, this is akin to two bubbles bumping into each other. These so-called “bubble universes”, which are expanding within the multiverse, bumped into each other as they expanded after the Big Bang, leaving an imprint on each other’s outer surface.
Dr. Chary says the signals he has seen suggest the alternate universe may be very different from our own. He says it could have a ratio of subatomic particles called baryons and photons that is about ten times greater than what we see in our own universe. This would mean that the physics in this alternate universe could be quite different from our own.
Dr. Chary explained, “The fine tuning of parameters in the early universe required to reproduce our present day universe suggests that our universe may simply be a region within an eternally inflating super-region. Many other regions beyond our observable universe would exist with each such region governed by a different set of physical parameters than the ones we have measured for our universe.”
Dr. Chary came to his conclusions by using models of the cosmic microwave background and subtracting it from Planck’s pictures of the entire sky. He then removed signals from the stars, gas and dust. With all these removed, all that should have been visible in the images was noise. However, Dr. Chary reports that instead he found scattered patches that were 4,500 times brighter than they should have been. They are thought to come from an era in the universe’s evolution known as recombination, when electrons and protons first combined to create hydrogen. This era has a distinctive spectrum of color due to the limited number of atoms around, and hence has a unique appearance and anomalies can be easily spotted.
Dr. Chary wrote, “The implication is that collision of our Universe with an alternate Universe that has a higher baryon density is responsible for the enhanced recombination line signature.”
Other astronomers are very excited about his findings. Dr. Jens Chluba, an astronomer at the University of Cambridge, told New Scientist, “To explain the signals that Dr. Chary found with the cosmological recombination radiation, one needs a large enhancement in the number of (other particles) relative to photons. In the realm of alternative universes, this is entirely possible.”
The discovery of another universe would be earth-shattering. Excitingly, further study of this possible parallel universe may be possible very soon through NASA’s PIXIE, the Primordial Inflation Explorer whose instruments could more accurately observe and analyze Chary’s light signals and procure more data about cosmic inflation. Scientists at Goddard Space Flight Center are looking for funding for PIXIE, however that funding might not be awarded till the end of 2016.
Mystery bright spots could be first glimpse of another universe
Light given off by hydrogen shortly after the big bang has left some unexplained bright patches in space. Are they evidence of bumping into another universe?
THE curtain at the edge of the universe may be rippling, hinting that there’s more backstage. Data from the European Space Agency’s Planck telescope could be giving us our first glimpse of another universe, with different physics, bumping up against our own.
That’s the tentative conclusion of an analysis by Ranga-Ram Chary, a researcher at Planck’s US data centre in California. Armed with Planck’s painstaking map of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) – light lingering from the hot, soupy state of the early universe – Chary revealed an eerie glow that could be due to matter from aneighbouring universe leaking into ours.
This sort of collision should be possible, according to modern cosmological theories that suggest the universe we see is just one bubble among many. Such a multiverse may be a consequence of cosmic inflation, the widely accepted idea that the early universe expanded exponentially in the slimmest fraction of a second after the big bang.
Since it starts, inflation never quite stops, so a multitude of universes becomes nearly inevitable. “I would say most versions of inflation in fact lead to eternal inflation, producing a number of pocket universes,” says Alan Guth of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an architect of the theory.
Energy hidden in empty space drives inflation, and the amount that’s around could vary from place to place, so some regions would eventually settle down and stop expanding at such a manic pace. But the spots where inflation is going gangbusters would spawn inflating universes. And even areas within these new bubbles could balloon into pocket universes themselves.
Like compositions on the same theme, each universe produced this way would be likely to have its own spin on physics. The matter in some bubbles – the boring ones – would fly apart within 10-40 seconds of their creation. Others would be full of particles and rules similar to ours, or even exactly like ours. In the multiverse of eternal inflation, everything that can happen has happened – and will probably happen again.
That notion could explain why the physical constants of our universe seem to be so exquisitely tuned to allow for galaxies, stars, planets and life (see “Just right for life?“).
Sadly, if they do exist, other bubbles are nigh on impossible to learn about. With the space between them and us always expanding, light is too slow to carry any information between different regions. “They could never even know about each other’s existence,” says Matthew Johnson of York University in Toronto, Canada. “It sounds like a fun idea but it seems like there’s no way to test it.”
Bubble trouble
However, if two bubbles started out close enough that they touched before expanding space pushed them apart forever, they could leave an imprint on each other. “You need to get lucky,” Johnson says.
“If two bubbles started out close enough that they touched, they could leave an imprint on each other”
In 2007, Johnson and his PhD adviser proposed that these clashing bubbles might show up as circular bruises on the CMB. They were looking for cosmic dance partners that resembled our own universe, but with more of everything. That would make a collision appear as a bright, hot ring of photons.
By 2011, they were able to search for them in data from NASA’s WMAP probe, the precursor to Planck. But they came up empty-handed.
Now Chary thinks he may have spotted a different signature of a clash with a foreign universe.
“There are two approaches, looking for different classes of pocket universes,” Johnson says. “They’re hunting for lions, and we’re hunting for polar bears.”
Instead of looking at the CMB itself, Chary subtracted a model of the CMB from Planck’s picture of the entire sky. Then he took away everything else, too: the stars, gas and dust.
With our universe scrubbed away, nothing should be left except noise. But in a certain frequency range, scattered patches on the sky look far brighter than they should. If they check out, these anomalous clumps could be caused by cosmic fist-bumps: our universe colliding with another part of the multiverse (arxiv.org/abs/1510.00126).
These patches look like they come from the era a few hundred thousand years after the big bang when electrons and protons first joined forces to create hydrogen, which emits light in a limited range of colours. We can see signs of that era, called recombination, in the light from that early hydrogen. Studying the light from recombination could be a unique signature of the matter in our universe – and potentially distinguish signs from beyond.
“This signal is one of the fingerprints of our own universe,” says Jens Chluba of the University of Cambridge. “Other universes should leave a different mark.”
“This signal is one of the fingerprints of our own universe. Others should leave a different mark”
Since this light is normally drowned out by the glow of the cosmic microwave background, recombination should have been tough for even Planck to spot. But Chary’s analysis revealed spots that were 4500 times as bright as theory predicts.
One exciting explanation for this is if a surplus of protons and electrons – or something a lot like them – got dumped in at the point of contact with another universe, making the light from recombination a lot brighter. Chary’s patches require the universe at the other end of the collision to have roughly 1000 times as many such particles as ours.
“To explain the signals that Dr Chary found with the cosmological recombination radiation, one needs a large enhancement in the number of [other particles] relative to photons,” Chluba says. “In the realm of alternative universes, this is entirely possible.”
Of course there are caveats, and recent history provides an important reality check. In 2014, a team using the BICEP2 telescope at the South Pole announced another faint signal with earth-shaking cosmological implications. The spirals of polarised light, spotted in the cosmic background, would have provided more observational evidence for the idea of inflation and helped us understand how inflation occurred. But it turned out that signal came from dust grains within our galaxy.
Princeton University’s David Spergel, who played a major role in debunking the BICEP2 finding, thinks dust may again be clouding our cosmological insights. “I suspect that it would be worth looking into alternative possibilities,” he says. “The dust properties are more complicated than we have been assuming, and I think that this is a more plausible explanation.”
Joseph Silk of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, is even more pessimistic, calling claims of an alternate universe “completely implausible”. While he thinks the paper is a good analysis of anomalies in Planck data, Silk also believes something is getting in the way. “My view is that they are almost certainly due to foregrounds,” he says.
Chary acknowledges that his idea is as tentative as it is exciting. “Unusual claims like evidence for alternate universes require a very high burden of proof,” he writes.
He makes an effort to rule out more prosaic explanations. If it is dust, Chary argues, it would be the coldest dust we’ve ever seen. It’s probably not noise masquerading as a signal. It could be carbon monoxide moving toward us, but we don’t usually see that. It could be faraway carbon, but that emission is too weak.
“I am certain he made every effort to ensure that the analysis is solid,” says Chluba. Even so, foregrounds and poorly understood patterns could still be the source of the signals. “It will be important to carry out an independent analysis and confirm his finding,” Chluba says.
Sensitive solutions
One obstacle to checking is that we’re limited by the data itself. Planck was hyper-sensitive to the cosmic microwave background, but it wasn’t intended to measure the spectral distortions Chary is looking for. Johnson’s team also plans to use Planck to look for their own alternate universes, once the data they need is released to the public – but they estimate that Planck will only make them twice as sensitive to the bubble collisions they’re looking for as they were with WMAP.
An experiment that could help might be on its way. Scientists at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center plan to submitPIXIE, the Primordial Inflation Explorer, to be considered for funding at the end of 2016.
PIXIE’s spectral resolution could help characterise Chary’s signals if they really are there, Chluba says. But even if they aren’t, reconstructing how inflation happened could still lead us once again back to the multiverse – and tell us what kind of bubble collisions we should look for next (see diagram).

Just right for life?
If our universe is just one of many, that could explain why it seems so exquisitely tuned for our existence.
If dark energy, the repulsive influence hiding in empty space that speeds up the expansion of the universe, were just a little stronger, matter would be flung apart before galaxies could ever form. If it were attractive instead, the universe would collapse. But it is shockingly puny, and that’s weird, unless our universe is one of many in the multiverse.
Compared with what we might expect from quantum theory, dark energy is 120 orders of magnitude too small. So far, no compelling explanation for that discrepancy has emerged. But if the multiverse exists, and dark energy varies from bubble to bubble (see main story), that might not seem so strange.
That’s because our own universe might be an oddball compared to most bubbles. In many, dark energy would be too strong for galaxies, stars and planets to form, but not in all. “Plenty of them would have energies as small as what we observe,” says physicist Alan Guth of MIT.
That still leaves us struggling to explain why our universe is one of the special ones. Our best answer so far, Guth says, is a philosophical headache: our universe has to be special because we are alive in it. In a more average region, where dark energy is stronger, stars, planets, and life would never have evolved.
That could mean life only exists in a sliver of the multiverse, with any conscious beings convinced their own slice of space is special, too.

GERMANY IS ABOUT TO SWITCH ON A NEW FUSION REACTOR THAT COULD CHANGE THE WORLD FOREVER
GERMANY IS ABOUT TO SWITCH ON A NEW FUSION REACTOR THAT COULD CHANGE THE WORLD FOREVER
A team of researchers from Germany has completed the construction of a new experimental fusion reactor, which they hope will surpass all the other models in having the longest sustained reaction, according to Science.
Nuclear fusion reactors aim to replicate the processes that go on inside stars to get electricity, fusing lighter atoms (like hydrogen or helium) together to form heavier elements. Nuclear fusion is still experimental, and it is unlikely we will have commercial power stations before 2050, but it is being pursued (including projects such as ITER) because it produces a lot of energy using a tiny amount of fuel.
It requires having the atoms in an extremely hot plasma (over 100 million kelvins), though, something that can't be done on a large scale at the moment. Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Germany, however, think they may have a solution.
To achieve the scalding plasma, scientists typically use lasers to heat up gas and the plasma is trapped by a magnetic field. Keeping the plasma hot and confined is the main technological challenge when it comes to reactors.
The most common model of nuclear reactors is called a tokamak, a device that confines the plasma in a donut shape. To maintain the plasma in this shape, strong magnets surround the reactor, and an electrical current is induced in the plasma. This current severely limits the tokamak, as it can make the plasma break free of the magnetic confinement and seriously damage the reactor. The current can only be provided in short pulses, limiting the fusion time to only a few minutes.
The other model is called a stellarator. Stellarators were invented by American physicist Lyman Spitzer in 1950, but they fell from favor in the 1970s as the tokamaks were giving much better results. They force the plasma in a weird twisted donut, with no need for an induced electric current inside but requiring a lot more magnets and a more complicated design to keep the plasma confined.
The new machine from the Max Planck Institute, called Wendelstein 7-X (W7X), is a stellarator. It’s the largest in the world at 16 meters (52 feet) in diameter and the team behind it hopes to assess the suitability of its design for commercial fusion reactors.
Shown is the interior of the reactor in 2011.
IPP/Wolfgang Filser. The €1 billion ($1.1 billion/£715 million) German reactor took 19 years to complete; it has 425 metric tons (470 U.S. tons) of superconducting magnets, which need to be cooled down to almost absolute zero, and between those magnets there are 250 ports to supply and remove fuel, to position diagnostic instruments and to be able to heat the plasma inside using microwaves. The construction of such a complex machine could only be done using advanced 3D software. “It can only be done on computer,” Thomas Klinger, leader of the project, told Science. “You can't adapt anything on site.”
W7X should be able to operate with up to 30 minutes of plasma discharge. If the machine ends up doing so, it will become a serious contender to the technology employed in fusion reactors in the future. The current record holder is the French tokamak “Tore Supra” with six minutes and 30 seconds.
The reactor should be turned on by the end of November, and it is currently awaiting approval for the go-ahead from the German nuclear authority ( via iflscience.com ).
You can check out a time-lapse video of WX7's construction and an animation of how it works in the video below:

Engineer Roger Shawyer’s controversial EmDrive thruster jets back into relevancy this week, as a team of researchers at NASA’s Eagleworks Laboratories recently completed yet another round of testing on the seemingly impossible tech. Though no official peer-reviewed lab paper has been published yet, and NASA institutes strict press release restrictions on the Eagleworks lab these days, engineer Paul March took to the NASA Spaceflight forum to explain the group’s findings. In essence, by utilizing an improved experimental procedure, the team managed to mitigate some of the errors from prior tests — yet still found signals of unexplained thrust.
Isaac Newton should be sweating.
Flying in the face of traditional laws of physics, the EmDrive makes use of a magnetron and microwaves to create a propellant-less propulsion system. By pushing microwaves into a closed, truncated cone and back towards the small end of said cone, the drive creates the momentum and force necessary to propel a craft forward. Because the system is a reaction-less drive, it goes against humankind’s fundamental comprehension of physics, hence its controversial nature.
On the NASA spaceflight forums, March revealed as much as he could about the advancements that have been made with EmDrive and its relative technology. After apologizing for not having the ability to share pictures or the supporting data from a peer-reviewed lab paper, he starts by explaining (as straightforward as rocket science can get) that the Eagleworks lab successfully built and installed a 2nd generation magnetic damper which helps reduce stray magnetic fields in a vacuum chamber. The addition reduced magnetic fields by an order of magnitude inside the chamber, and also decreased Lorentz force interactions.
However, despite ruling out Lorentz forces almost entirely, March still reported a contamination caused by thermal expansion. Unfortunately, this reported contamination proves even worse in a vacuum (i.e. outer space) due in large part to its inherently high level of insulation. To combat this, March acknowledged the team is now developing an advanced analytics tool to assist in the separation of the contamination, as well as an integrated test which aims to alleviate thermally induced errors altogether.
While these advancements and additions are no doubt a boon for continued research of the EmDrive, the fact that the machine still produced what March calls “anomalous thrust signals” is by far the test’s single biggest discovery. The reason why this thrust exists still confounds even the brightest rocket scientists in the world, but the recurring phenomenon of direction-based momentum does make the EmDrive appear less a combination of errors and more like a legitimate answer to interstellar travel.
Eagleworks Laboratories’ recent successful testing is the latest in a long line of scientific research allowing EmDrive to slowly shed its “ridiculous” title. Though Shawyer unveiled the device in 2003, it wasn’t until 2009 that a group of Chinese scientists confirmed what he initially asserted to be true — that is, that filling a closed, conical container with resonating microwaves does, in fact, generate a modest amount of thrust towards the wide end of the container. Although extremely cautious about the test, the team in China found the theoretical basis to be correct and that net thrust is plausible.
The thing is, the initial reaction on this theory (especially from the west) was met with polite skepticism. Though the published work showed the calculations to be consistent with theoretical calculations, the test was conducted at such low power that the results were widely deemed to be useless. Luckily, this didn’t stop the good folks over at NASA from giving the EmDrive a spin, resulting in an official study that was conducted in August of 2013. After deliberating on the findings, the space agency officially published its judgment in June of the following year before presenting it at the 50th Joint Propulsion Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
NASA concluded the RF resonant cavity thruster design does produce thrust “not attributable to any classical electromagnetic phenomenon.” In other words, NASA confirmed Shawyer’s initial prognosis (much like the team of Chinese scientists), but couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation as to why the thing works outside of, “it just does.”
Moving forward, NASA’s short term objective is to conduct a diverse array of tests on a quantum vacuum plasma thruster (a similar propellantless engine flatter in shape than the EmDrive), in hopes of gaining independent verification and validation of the thruster. Initial IV&V testing will be supported by the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, making use of a stainless steel vacuum chamber which has the capacity to detect force at a single-digit micronewton level, called a low-thrust torsion pendulum.
After that, a similar round of low-thrust torsion pendulum tests will then be conducted at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory before comparing the findings. It’s also reported that the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has contacted the lab about conducting Cavendish Balance-type testing of the IV&V shipset. Ideally, this test would allow Johns Hopkins to measure the amount of gravitational force exerted in propellantless engines.
At this time, it’s unknown when Eagleworks Laboratories intends to officially publish its peer-reviewed paper, but even so, just hearing of the EmDrive’s advancements from one of its top engineers bodes well for the future of this fascinating tech.
Lobbyist and Paradigm Research Group Founder, Stephen Bassett (Wikimedia)
Based in the nation’s capitol, Stephen Bassett is a lobbyist working tirelessly for a single, unusual cause: confronting the US Government on the existence of extraterrestrials and their presence here on Earth.
As a political activist and executive director of the Paradigm Research Group (PRG), Basset aims to end the 68-year embargo of classified information relating to alien activity while pressuring President Obama and the Executive Branch to disclose these findings to the public.
Following the statements made to me by Apollo 14 Astronaut Edgar Mitchell on government cover ups and claims of nuclear weapons tampering by extraterrestrials, I was contacted by an associate of Stephen Bassett who expressed gratitude on his behalf for covering those stories.
Seeing an opportunity to dig deeper into these claims, I decided to interview this unique D.C. lobbyist about his beliefs and mission.
Why did you decide to take up this fight and how did you get started?
I made an intellectual decision to engage the extraterrestrial phenomenon field in the winter of 1995 because I believed I could make a difference. My journey began in January of 1996 as a volunteer for the Program for Extraordinary Experience Research founded by Dr. John E. Mack in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While in Cambridge it became clear to me that the extraterrestrial issue could only be resolved by political means.
The government imposed policy of Truth Embargo had to end. In July of 1996 I relocated to the Washington, D.C., area and registered as a lobbyist on the extraterrestrial topic—the first person to do so.
Why? the presence of extraterrestrials is the most important truth in the world today with the greatest potential to alter the present course of human affairs – a course badly in need of a new destination.
What do you see as the ultimate goal?
The Disclosure advocacy movement has a very clear goal: formal acknowledgement by world governments of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race. At this time the focus of the movement is on the United States and President Obama.
Why is it important that the government fully disclose the existence of extraterrestrials?
It would take a book to properly answer this question but here are some talking points: 1) trust in government has collapsed 2) truth is the antidote to fear 3) a vast military/intelligence/industrial complex has been created that threatens the Republic and this complex is partially a result of government’s desire to secretly address the extraterrestrial reality 4) extraterrestrial derived technologies are being withheld under the embargo that are badly needed to address the human condition 5) the executive and legislative branches of government are being weakened by the policy of embargo 6) a number of other heads of state could end the truth embargo at any time, and this would have serious geopolitical consequences for the United States.
How do you think the public will react to full disclosure?
Public response to disclosure will be overwhelmingly positive. For many, such an announcement will be anticlimactic. Over time, as the complex history of the extraterrestrial engagement emerges, some concerns will be raised. The Internet will provide the means for the human race to quickly arrive at consensus regarding these concerns and direct their governments accordingly.
There will be some negative response and perhaps acting out, but that will not be unusual. The idea that disclosure would disrupt economies, religion, governments, etc. is a concept put forward by the managers of the Extraterrestrial Truth Embargo. It is mostly propaganda.
Which branch of government is privy to the information regarding the presence of extraterrestrials?
The extraterrestrial history and engagement is most likely managed by cross-agency committees within the military/intelligence complex and working under the highest of security classifications. Each committee would address a major aspect of the issue and comprised of representatives from the appropriate agencies and services for that issue. In many or all cases the agency represented may not know of this committee. The committee may not know of other committees involved. Compartmentalization.
This approach is likely quite satisfactory for the military/intelligence community. The problem is politics. The executive and legislative branches of government have certain responsibilities regarding national security matters.
Beginning with the Johnson administration, the decision was made to remove these branches of government over time from the equation. By the time Clinton takes office, the president and the appropriate congressional committees no longer had access. They did not have a need to know and were shut out. Efforts to get information were stonewalled. Efforts to get congressional hearings were blocked. This, of course, raises serious constitutional questions.
What is the Rockefeller initiative and how are the Clintons involved?
The Rockefeller Initiative refers to the formal effort by billionaire Laurance Rockefeller to persuade the Clinton administration to release all documents in government files and grant amnesty to government witnesses who might come forward. This effort began on March 29,1996 and ended in October of 1996. Over 1000 pages of documents were obtained in 2000 by researcher Grant Cameron under the Freedom of Information Act confirming the Rockefeller Initiative.
These documents have been posted on the Internet for the past 15 years. President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, Dr. John Gibbons and Webster Hubbell were directly involved in the Initiative. Others either directly involved or aware of the Initiative include Clinton’s Chief of Staff Leon Panetta, Clinton’s Chief of Staff Mack McLarty, Vice President Al Gore and Clinton’s Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson.
During the 25 years since the beginning of the Rockefeller Initiative none of these individuals has ever spoken publicly about it in service to their personal and political aspirations. No member of the media has ever posed a single question to any of them about it until April of this year. Since then, several queries have been put to John Podesta and Secretary Clinton by reporters. Neither have responded.
The Clinton connection to the extraterrestrial issue via the Rockefeller Initiative will be the trigger that sets the media free to finally engage and investigate the most important news story in history.
If Secretary Clinton is elected president, would that increase the chances of full disclosure?
Yes, but the Disclosure advocacy movement has no intention of waiting for that uncertain outcome. Barack Obama will be the Disclosure president.
You mentioned Nuclear Weapons tampering as the catalyst for a “media storm.” Is there hard evidence of this phenomenon?
Over the past 15 years considerable evidence has been amassed confirming incidents in which extraterrestrial craft have tampered with nuclear weapons in both the United States and the Soviet Union. The bulk of that evidence has been compiled in the book, UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites – by Robert Hastings. At the center of this evidence is first hand testimony by Air Force officers who were present during these incidents. One such officer, Capt. Robert Salas wrote a book about his experience—Faded Giant. More than a dozen such officers are prepared to testify before Congress under oath.
The fact that this evidence has been out in the public domain for fifteen years and no congressional committee has engaged the issue and no media venue has challenged the Air Force, the Pentagon or the White House to respond is both a disgrace and a symptom of major dysfunction.
Why do you think the term “UFO” is unacceptable when discussing full disclosure?
“UFO” is an anachronistic non-sequitur pushed forward early on by the skeptics and the government. It is as ludicrous as stating the focus of atomic physics is “ITPs”—unidentified tiny particles. The primary technique behind the Truth Embargo is the intellectual ghettoization of the phenomenon and the people who address it. “UFO” is part of the language of that ghetto designed to keep the public, the press, academics and political leaders at bay.
What has been some of the major obstacles in your mission?
The principal obstacle for the Disclosure advocacy moment is the Truth Embargo. Beginning with the early 1950s enormous time and money was invested by the government to create and maintain this embargo, which by the end of the Cold War was thoroughly entrenched. Another major obstacle is the lack of funding for advocacy projects, which is a direct result of the Truth Embargo.
Who are your most important allies?
Important allies of this movement include a growing list of intrepid reporters and editors willing to challenge the Truth Embargo, a number of countries that have proactively released tens of thousands of extraterrestrial phenomenon related files to the public domain, and some former member of Congress, The most important ally is the Internet and the access it provides to the entire world to build awareness and consensus.
The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure or CHD was an event in which 42 military/agency/political witnesses of rank testified for 30 hours over five days before six former members of Congress regarding events and evidence confirming an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.
It had never been done before and it was filmed in high definition and webcast worldwide. It was a mock congressional hearing held in the main ballroom of the National Press Club two blocks from the White House and a dozen blocks from the Capitol. It was extensively covered by the media.
The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure was the key that could unlock the Truth Embargo. As planned it was the platform upon which to launch PRG’s Congressional Hearing Initiative. So on November 5, 2014, 10-disk DVD sets with the full video record of the CHD were shipped to every congressional office—535. What viewers of the Citizen Hearing Disclosure would see is very much how a real congressional hearing would play out. The kinds of witnesses, the quality of their testimony, how the committee members would react and what questions would be ask. In short, the CHD took most of the political risk out of a decision by a congressional committee to hold hearings. It has made possible all that was to come.

The Dogon Tribe and Their Nordic Alien Gods From Sirius
The Dogon Tribe and Their Nordic Alien Gods From Sirius
How did an African tribe come to possess advanced astronomical knowledge about the Sirius star system?
Throughout history, many civilizations were fascinated with Sirius, the Dog Star. This bright celestial object occupies an elevated status in various mythologies but none paint a more intriguing picture than the Dogon Tribe of West Africa.
The rich culture of the Dogon people spans back more than five thousand years and one of their ancient legends tells the story of a race of otherworldly beings called the Nommo.
According to legend, these advanced individuals visited the Earth eons ago, descending “from the sky in a vessel accompanied by fire and thunder.”
Friendly in nature, they shared some of their wisdom with the ancestors of the Dogon.
At this point we should mention that the Dogon possessed no astronomical instruments with which to study the night sky. But despite this inconvenience, their legends mention that the Nommo came from a planet that orbits one of the two stars in the Sirius star system.
It would have been impossible for them to reach this conclusion just by studying the star with the naked eye. In fact, astronomers only discovered Sirius’ smaller companion star a good 250 years after the telescope was invented.
Every 50 years, the Dogon celebrate the passing of a Sirius cycle, a tradition they keep in honor of the Nommo. That is exactly the time it takes for Sirius B to complete an orbit around its larger, more well-known companion. Coincidence?
The fact that a primitive African tribe possessed advanced knowledge about the universe is a mystery, but one that can be easily explained if we viewed their legends as mirrors of real events.
So, what do the Dogon say about the Nommo?
Their home planet orbits Sirius B and is a largely-aquatic world. All legends describe them as amphibious creatures, very similar to our conception of Merfolk. Their upper half of the body closely resembles the Nordic Alien prototype of blue eyed, blonde-haired tall humanoids.
They landed in a large space ship the Dogon call ‘Pelu Tolo’ or ‘Star of the Tenth Moon.’ This event is one of great importance for the Dogon — their first contact. At the same time the Nommo ship was spiraling towards earth, a new star appeared in the night sky, possibly a mother ship from Sirius.
The tribe describe this star as having a swirling circle of reddish rays around it and also say that it was stationary relative to the other stars in the night sky.
The Dogon revered the Nommo and regarded them as civilizing gods. They are commonly referred to as ‘The Masters of the Waters”, “The Watchers” or “The Saviors.”
When shown photos of the most encountered alien species, Dogon shamans identified them with theNordic alien type, claiming that their tribe had met blue eyed white humanoids long before meeting white men.
As unbelievable as this story sounds, it is paralleled by many others worldwide and they all share one common aspect: advanced alien beings visiting our planet, offering their aid and knowledge and being revered as gods.
It would appear that this rash of visitations occurred around 5,000 years ago, possibly following a great flood or another catastrophe.
The white-skinned gods apparently visited the entire planet, as legends ranging from Australia to the Americas describe similar beings teaching mankind their ways.
A giant crack in the earth appeared in the last two weeks on a ranch we hunt in the Bighorn Mountains. An engineer from Riverton, WY came out to shed a little light on this giant crack in the earth and said apparently, a wet spring lubricated across a cap rock. Then, a small spring on either side caused the bottom to slide out. He estimated 15 to 20 million yards of movement. By range finder, an estimate is 750 yards long and about 50 yards wide.
When there is a sudden life-size cracks at the edge of one of the potentially most dangerous volcanoes in the world, the Yellowstone super volcano, it becomes clear that there is definitely something going on with our planet and another sign that an external force must be the cause of these giant cracks.
If we take a look at a 3600 year cycle of dramatic earth changes, we see that 3600 ago there was the Santorino eruption in Greece. This eruption is one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history.
The Minoan eruption or Thera eruption which also occurred some 3,600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization. This eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of meters deep and may have led indirectly to the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, 110 km (68 mi) to the south, through a gigantic tsunami.
