DID THE ANCIENTS KNOW THE SECRETS TO LEVITATION?
DID THE ANCIENTS KNOW THE SECRETS TO LEVITATION?
"DID ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS possess knowledge that has since been lost to science? Were amazing technologies available to the ancient Egyptians that enabled them to construct the pyramids — technologies that have somehow been forgotten?
The ruins of several ancient civilizations — from Stonehenge to the pyramids — show that they used massive stones to construct their monuments. A basic question is why? Why use stone pieces of such enormous size and weight when the same structures could have been constructed with more easily managed smaller blocks — much like we use bricks and cinderblocks today?
Could part of the answer be that these ancients had a method of lifting and moving these massive stones — some weighing several tons — that made the task as easy and manageable as lifting a two-pound brick? The ancients, some researchers suggest, may have mastered the art of levitation, through sonics or some other obscure method, that allowed them to defy gravity and manipulate massive objects with ease.
THE EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS
How the great pyramids of Egypt were built has been the subject of debate for millennia. The fact is, no one really knows for certain exactly how they were constructed. The current estimates of mainstream science contends that it took a workforce of 4,000 to 5,000 men 20 years to build the Great Pyramid using ropes, pulleys, ramps, ingenuity and brute force.
And that very well may have been the case. But there is an intriguing passage in a history text by the 10th century Arab historian, Abul Hasan Ali Al-Masudi, known as the Herodotus of the Arabs. Al-Masudi had traveled much of the known world in his day before settling in Egypt, and he had written a 30-volume history of the world. He too was struck by the magnificence of the Egyptian pyramids and wrote about how their great stone blocks were transported.
First, he said, a “magic papyrus” (paper) was placed under the stone to be moved. Then the stone was struck with a metal rod that caused the stone to levitate and move along a path paved with stones and fenced on either side by metal poles. The stone would travel along the path, wrote Al-Masudi, for a distance of about 50 meters and then settle to the ground. The process would then be repeated until the builders had the stone where they wanted it.
Considering that the pyramids were already thousands of years old when Al-Masudi wrote this explanation, we have to wonder where he got his information. Was it part of an oral history that was passed down from generation to generation in Egypt? The unusual details of the story raise that possibility. Or was this just a fanciful story concocted by a talented writer who — like many who marvel at the pyramids today — concluded that there must have been some extraordinary magical forces employed to build such a magnificent structure?
If we take the story at face value, what kind of levitation forces were involved? Did the striking of the rock create vibrations that resulted in sonic levitation? Or did the layout of stones and rods create a magnetic levitation? If so, the science accounting for either scenario is unknown to us today.
OTHER ASTONISHING MEGALITHS
The Egyptian pyramids are not the only ancient structures constructed of huge blocks of stone. Far from it. Great temples and monuments around the world contain stone components of incredible size, yet little is known about their means of construction.
The Temple of Jupiter at Baalbek, Lebanon has a foundation that contains the three largest stone blocks ever used in a man-made structure. Each block is estimated to weigh as much as 1,000 tons! No super crane in existence today could lift one, yet they are positioned together with such precision that not even a needle could fit between them. Nearby is an even bigger stone. Known as Hajar el Hibla — the Stone of the Pregnant Woman — it lies abandoned in its quarry, never used. But the giant rectangular block is the largest piece of stone ever cut by humans, weighing an incredible 1,200 tons. It is estimated that it would require the strength of 16,000 men to even budge it, and represents a formidable challenge to 20th century machines and technology.
On an isolated plateau at Tiahuanaco, Bolivia, 13,000 feet above sea level, stands an impressive monument called Puerta del Sol, or Sun Gate. The elaborately carved gate weighs an estimated 10 tons, and how it arrived at its present location is a mystery.
Nan Madol, sometimes called “the Machu Pichu of the Pacific,” is a great ruins on the island of Pohnpei, capital of the Federated States of Micronesia. This lost city, constructed around 200 B.C., is made up of hundreds of stacked stone logs, each about 18-feet-long and several feet in diameter. The logs, stacked like cordwood, constitute walls that are 40 feet high and 18 feet thick. Each stone log is estimated to weigh about 2.5 tons. How they were moved and lifted into position is unknown.
What was the secret these diverse and ancient cultures possessed to manipulate these great stone blocks? A massive supply of slave labor straining human muscle and ingenuity to their limits? Or was there another more mysterious way? It’s remarkable that these cultures leave no record of how these structures were constructed. However, “in almost every culture where megaliths exist,” according to 432:Cosmic Key, “a legend also exists that the huge stones were moved by acoustic means — either by the chanted spells of magicians, by song, by striking with a magic wand or rod (to produce acoustic resonance), or by trumpets, gongs, lyres, cymbals or whistles.”
TIBETAN SECRETS OF LEVITATION
In his book The Bridge to Infinity, Bruce Cathie recounts an amazing story that he says originated in a German magazine. It tells the story of astonishing feats of levitation accomplished by priests in a monastery high in the Tibetan Himalayas. Here, in English translation, are excepts from that German article:
A Swedish doctor, Dr. Jarl… studied at Oxford. During those times he became friends with a young Tibetan student. A couple of years later, it was 1939, Dr. Jarl made a journey to Egypt for the English Scientific Society. There he was seen by a messenger of his Tibetan friend, and urgently requested to come to Tibet to treat a high Lama. After Dr. Jarl got the leave he followed the messenger and arrived after a long journey by plane and Yak caravans, at the monastery, where the old Lama and his friend who was now holding a high position were now living.
One day his friend took him to a place in the neighborhood of the monastery and showed him a sloping meadow which was surrounded in the north west by high cliffs. In one of the rock walls, at a height of about 250 metres was a big hole which looked like the entrance to a cave. In front of this hole there was a platform on which the monks were building a rock wall. The only access to this platform was from the top of the cliff and the monks lowered themselves down with the help of ropes.
In the middle of the meadow. about 250 metres from the cliff, was a polished slab of rock with a bowl like cavity in the center. The bowl had a diameter of one metre and a depth of 15 centimeters. A block of stone was maneuvered into this cavity by Yak oxen. The block was one metre wide and one and one-half metres long. Then 19 musical instruments were set in an arc of 90 degrees at a distance of 63 metres from the stone slab. The radius of 63 metres was measured out accurately. The musical instruments consisted of 13 drums and six trumpets. (Ragdons).
Behind each instrument was a row of monks. When the stone was in position the monk behind the small drum gave a signal to start the concert. The small drum had a very sharp sound, and could be heard even with the other instruments making a terrible din. All the monks were singing and chanting a prayer, slowly increasing the tempo of this unbelievable noise. During the first four minutes nothing happened, then as the speed of the drumming, and the noise increased, the big stone block started to rock and sway, and suddenly it took off into the air with an increasing speed in the direction of the platform in front of the cave hole 250 metres high. After three minutes of ascent it landed on the platform.
Continuously they brought new blocks to the meadow, and the monks using this method, transported 5 to 6 blocks per hour on a parabolic flight track approximately 500 metres long and 250 metres high. From time to time a stone split, and the monks moved the split stones away. Quite an unbelievable task. Dr Jarl knew about the hurling of the stones. Tibetan experts like Linaver, Spalding and Huc had spoken about it, but they had never seen it. So Dr Jarl was the first foreigner who had the opportunity to see this remarkable spectacle. Because he had the opinion in the beginning that he was the victim of mass-psychosis he made two films of the incident. The films showed exactly the same things that he had witnessed.
The English Society for which Dr Jarl was working confiscated the two films and declared them classified. They will not be released until 1990.
Were the films of this fascinating feat released in 1990? Did they ever even exist? Or is this just another tall tale that lends more mystery to the land of Shangri-la?
CORAL CASTLE
How unfortunate that these secrets of levitation – if they ever existed – are lost to antiquity or the remoteness of the Himalayas. They seem to be forever elusive to modern Western man. Or are they?
Beginning in 1920, Edward Leedskalnin, a 5-ft. tall, 100-lb. Latvian immigrant, began to build a remarkable structure in Homestead, Florida. Over a 20-year period, Leedskalnin single-handedly build a home he originally called “Rock Gate Park,” but has since been named Coral Castle. Working in secret – often at night – Leedskalnin was somehow able to quarry, fashion, transport and constructed the impressive edifices and sculptures of his unique home from large blocks of heavy coral rock.
It’s estimated that 1,000 tons of coral rock were used in construction of the walls and towers, and an additional 100 tons of it were carved into furniture and art objects:
An obelisk he raised weighs 28 tons.
The wall surrounding Coral Castle stands 8 ft. tall and consists of large blocks each weighing several tons.
Large stone crescents are perched atop 20-ft.-high walls. A 9-ton swinging gate that moves at the touch of a finger guards the eastern wall.
The largest rock on the property weighs an estimated 35 tons.
Some stones are twice the weight of the largest blocks in the Great Pyramid at Giza.
All this he did alone and without heavy machinery. No one was ever witness to how Leedskalnin was able to move and lift such enormous objects, although it is claimed that some spying teenagers saw him “float coral blocks through the air like hydrogen balloons.”
Leedskalnin was highly secretive about his methods, saying only at one point, “I have discovered the secrets of the pyramids. I have found out how the Egyptians and the ancient builders in Peru, Yucatan and Asia, with only primitive tools, raised and set in place blocks of stone weighing many tons.”
If Leedskalnin had indeed rediscovered the ancient secrets of levitation, he took them with him to his grave

MISSIONS APPROVED: SPACEX TO TAKE NASA CREWS TO SPACE STATION
MISSIONS APPROVED: SPACEX TO TAKE NASA CREWS TO SPACE STATION
Elon Musk's SpaceX commercial space program got approval Friday from NASA to take a crew to the International Space Station -- SpaceX's first such mission.
The flight isn't set to happen until late 2017. But SpaceX can now begin preparing for the journey.
The flight is one of two guaranteed missions that SpaceX secured the rights to in a 2014 contract with NASA.
Boeing (BA), which was also awarded a contract with NASA last year, was given its first assignment in June.
As part of the contract, both Boeing and SpaceX are entitled to at least two and as many as six missions.
The deal is part of NASA's effort to transition some of its low-Earth orbit flights to less expensive commercial operators.
"Commercial crew launches are really important for helping us meet the demand for research on the space station," said Julie Robinson, International Space Station chief scientist.
SpaceX, which is based in Hawthorne, California, will use a Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket during the mission.
The company noted the mission was a "significant milestone" and said it was proud to be able to move forward.
"When Crew Dragon takes NASA astronauts to the space station in 2017, they will be riding in one of the safest, most reliable spacecraft ever flown. We're honored to be developing this capability for NASA and our country," said SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell.
SpaceX has made six successful resupply trips to the International Space Station over the past four years. However, in June an unmanned Falcon 9 rocket, headed to the space station, exploded minutes after taking off ( via money.cnn.com ).

Astronaut Scott Kelly Tweets Photo of a UFO Right Near the ISS
Astronaut Scott Kelly Tweets Photo of a UFO Right Near the ISS
Many people have realized by now that the official agencies are constantly hiding relevant aspects from the rest of the population, but what happens when their own people turn to whistleblowers or reveal classified information?
When someone leaks secret information, it doesn’t necessarily have to be in an official manner. That said, inside people can offer hints that point towards the obvious truth.
For almost a year, astronaut Scott Kelly has been tweeting fabulous photos of Earth seen from above, more precisely from the International Space Station (ISS).
On Sunday however, he tweeted a photo revealing something fascinating – a huge UFO floating in the vicinity of the station.
In the upper right of the photo, a colossal spaceship-like object can be observed and while Scott Kelly didn’t let anything unusual to be seen in his tweet, he might had pointed at it deliberately. If we look at his tweet: Once upon a star over Southern India, it could be interpreted as “up a star” or above the star. Even though skeptics might not agree with such an interpretation, we strongly believe that he indeed left a huge hint for humanity.
Is this UFO a spaceship of some sort? Does this reveal extraterrestrial activity near or with the ISS? Is Scott Kelly trying to send us an obvious message?
If you hope for NASA to answer these questions, you might have to wait for some time because no comment or explanation has been offered so far, and it most probably won’t come so, without an official confirmation, people will most likely deny the obvious truth once again.
Until further evidence, we can only speculate and once again analyze the recent UFO cases encountered near or at the ISS: Similar spacecraft lands with the ISS, 9-foot tall alien meeting with ISS astronauts, ISS blue screen pop up when a supposed UFO makes its presence noticed plus some other great sightings from space near official NASA missions.
Refresh your memory if you must and consider the fact that we might not be alone.

Astronaut Scott Kelly's 'UFO' photo generates extraterrestrial buzz
Astronaut Scott Kelly's 'UFO' photo generates extraterrestrial buzz
The truth is out there … maybe. A photo tweeted by astronaut Scott Kelly is generating plenty of extraterrestrial buzz.
Kelly, who recently broke the U.S. record for most days in space, tweeted the picture taken from the International Space Station Sunday.
An apparent ‘object’ in the top right hand corner of the image has piqued the interest of UFO hunters such as sonofmabarker. “In the upper right of the photo you can clearly see a large object with two lights on each end. It also appears to be very large and constructed,” he wrote, in a post accompanying a YouTube video on the image.
In a blog post on the UFO Sightings Daily website, Scott Waring also weighed in on the image. “Scott Kelly likes to send out photos of the view from the windows of the space station … and they look cool,” he wrote. “This one however has a cigar shaped glowing UFO with a metallic body in it.”
Here’s one interesting report from The Third Millennium about this interesting sighting of a horseshoe-shaped UFO in the sky above Wonsan in North Korea. This happened on 15th September 2015.
Project REDSUN—They Went to Mars Without Telling Us
Project REDSUN—They Went to Mars Without Telling Us
How much do we know about Mars? Or is it “how much we don’t know about it” a better question to ask?
According to several sources, the distant Red Planet meant an important deal to NASA ever since the late 1950s. As the Apollo program was coming to an end, and with the entire population bathed in excitement because of the huge step humanity took towards progress and innovation, the space agency already had bigger plans for the near future.
Apparently, at that time (in 1970s more precisely) NASA focused more on a manned mission to Mars. As crazy as this sounds, it might prove to be true, and here is why: 50 years ago from now, in the summer of 1965, Mariner 4 became the first successful mission to come near the surface of the Red Planet. The photos returned by the space module caused an immense stir among NASA’s personnel, as it revealed never before seen features of the bizarre “red dot” that could be observed from Earth.
What they learned in 1965 made the agency want to send astronauts there ASAP in order to colonize the Red Planet and who knows what other reasons they had. Therefore, NASA secretly funded a project similar to the Apollo missions which they codenamed Project REDSUN. Its aim was apparently to colonize the planet, but after analyzing the case, it seems that they had some other thoughts as well. Is it possible that NASA encountered some form of intelligent life on Mars?
In 1971, one year before the final Apollo mission, Mariner 9 was orbiting Mars and managed to photograph the entirety of its surface, thus providing conclusive images with ancient riverbeds, a 3,000 mile-long grand canyon, gigantic volcanoes, and other artificial-like structures that we can also see for ourselves today.
What seems rather interesting is the fact that NASA had a free hand to operate under the ongoing lunar exploration hysteria. Another curious thing to note is the fact that the agency was overly prepared to send a second mission to Mars, as Richard Zurek, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s leading scientist revealed:
"It was a good thing we had other spacecraft ready, as it might have stopped Mars exploration for a while. The pace of exploration would have slowed – we certainly wouldn’t have had anything as ambitious as the mission in 1970s.
MARINER 9’S PHOTO OF NIRGAL VALLIS, THE LARGEST VALLEY NETWORK ON MARS
It was a planet that seemed similar enough to the Earth that you could imagine it having supported life in the past… We still don’t know for sure if life did develop there.”
In the years that followed, several exploration modules were sent to Mars, probably because of the unimaginable discoveries that were previously unearthed. However, first photos from the actual surface of the planet were taken by the Viking 1 mission and were revealed on July 20, 1976. One day later, the first color picture taken by the Viking 2 lander was available. Considering all the above, we can’t help but wonder what happened between 1970 and 1976, and why the space agency didn’t officially admit the landing of a module on the Martian surface until then?
On August 28, 1973, a secret mission funded by NASA and the US Department of Defense was to depart towards the distant planet Mars under the name of Project Redsun. According to recently leaked documents, the crew consisted of American astronaut Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and a fellow comrade from the USSR named Vladimir Ilyushin.
The video below was supposedly leaked from a collection of 16mm archived footage used in the training of NASA astronauts and Air Force pilots. The video reveals how astronauts aboard a spacecraft considered to be the ISV Columbus, are slowly leaving behind Earth’s view to welcome a new, more dusty sight of planet Mars. Some features of the Red Planet are clearly visible during the orbital flight, including the famous South Pole of Mars.
Mission control was established at Cocoa Beach, Florida and it coordinated Project Redsun’s first three launches. All subsequent missions were relocated and administrated from Area 51.
After the video was made public, people begun to question its authenticity, and as usual, NASA denied any form of implication in a manned mission to Mars, considering the footage to be a ridiculous forgery. While people couldn’t accept the agency’s potential for such a quest, seeing as it was 1970 back then, the above footage didn’t receive too much attention. However, it all changed in April 2011 when more evidence was brought to light by an Italian journalist and UFO researcher Luca Scantamburlo. During a press conference, they presented a testimony revealing the details of project Redsun.
"Iintroduce to you a press-release testimony I have written to discuss the presumed existence of a hush-hush military space program called “Project Redsun”, carried out in the 70s of the last century to build a stationary base on Mars, the Red Planet. My source of information – named by me ‘bravoxsierra24’ – had contacted me by email. It is possible to reproduce the pages of the press release, and the picture here presented as well.
The below documents back up this seemingly crazy but not at all impossible hypothesis of an early manned mission to Mars. If this happened indeed, we can think of so many reasons why NASA would engage in such a secret mission. What could NASA had encountered there? Was there an ancient alien base or did they met with intelligent beings who still inhabit the planet? Considering many other possibilities, the reason might exceed all our earthly expectations, and who knows, maybe one they we will find out. Are we prepared for this kind of disclosure?

Mystery signals could be a habitable Earth-like world
Mystery signals could be a habitable Earth-like world
According to astronomers, the anomalous signals that were dismissed sooner as ‘stellar bursts’ are coming from an Earth like planet located 22 light years away. The celestial object was discovered five years ago but was later dismissed as stellar bursts and not a planet. Now, after further tests, scientists have come to the conclusion that the anomalous signals are coming from a planet they have called Gliese 581d which is located in the star’s habitable zone which means it might be suitable for human life.
Scientists say that the 2014 research was based on ‘inadequate data’ and that this planet does in fact exist, and could prove to be the next best shot to look for alien life.
According to a recent study by British astronomers, we are looking at a smaller planet located in the habitable zone of its star. Experts believe that previous studies by the Pennsylvania State University were inadequate due to the methods used in the tests. Now, new research by the Queen Mary University in London claims to have better data which points to the existence of the planet.
Gliese 581 (the bright star shown in the centre), which is 22 light-years away, has three other confirmed planets, none of which lie within its habitable zone
‘The existence (or not) of GJ 581d is significant because it was the first Earth-like planet discovered in the ‘Goldilocks’-zone around another star and it is a benchmark case for the Doppler technique,’ said lead author, Dr Guillem Anglada-Escudé.
‘There are always discussions among scientists about the ways we interpret data but I’m confident that GJ 581d has been in orbit around Gliese 581 all along.
‘In any case, the strength of their statement was way too strong.
‘If their way to treat the data had been right, then some planet search projects at several ground-based observatories would need to be significantly revised as they are all aiming to detect even smaller planets.
According to experts, Gliese 581d is one of the first planets outside our solar system located I the Goldilocks zone around its star, which is basically an area where it in neither too hot nor too cold for life to exist.
NASA believes that in the next 15 years, we will find an exact replica of planet Earth, somewhere in the universe. This also means that it is very likely that in the next 15 years or so, intelligent life will be discovered somewhere in the cosmos, if of course, it hasn’t been already found.
Interestingly, RDF and Social Network BEBO used a telescope array in Ukraine to send a focused beam of data of around 500 messages from the public in form of radio waves towards Gliese 581.
This image from Mars Opportunity appears to show the face of what UFO enthusiasts say is an ancient God. NASA
For anyone scanning photos of Mars, the Red Planet can often seem like a house of mirrors.
Amid the dust and rocks, there have over the years been reports of what seem to be images of human faces, a spoon and, of course, the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi in profile.
Now, some UFO enthusiasts believe they have stumbled upon another humdinger – this one is a 2010 mage from Mars Opportunity rover that is said to resemble ancient Mesopotamian sculptures. The image was taken at a site called "Concepción Crater," a spot that had stumped scientists due to weird coatings on rocks near the crater.
The website, UFO Sightings Daily, brought this mysterious rock to light earlier in the week and seems convinced it is onto something. UFO Sightings Daily compares the image to that of ancient Mesopotamian sculpture
“Found these faces on Mars side by side. One is looking towards us and the other is looking to the left. The face looking at us has a lot of similarities to the ancient Mesopotamia faces,” Scott Waring said on UFO Sightings Daily, next to the photo.
NASA, for some reason, hasn’t appeared all that interested in exploring the mystery of the face.
"As you can probably tell, it is a natural rock at the disrupted rim of a small crater, not a sculpture made by some ancient culture," NASA spokesman Guy Webster told FoxNews.com in an email. "But it's great that people are using their imaginations and enjoying the full public access to every image taken by any Mars rover."
Instead, NASA is more concerned with directing the Curiosity Rover to a network of active dunes – as tall as a two-story building and as wide as a football field – that they will tell scientists something about the planet's current environment as well as the sandstone layers made from the dunes that turned into rock long ago.

Two Alien Orbs Recorded In Infrared In Military Bombing Video Of Syria, Nov 2015, Video, UFO Sighting News
Date of sighting: November 2015 Location of sighting: Syria Some UFO Researchers in South America discovered a RT News video that was reporting about a drone bombing an area in Syria. During this report of the explosion two metallic orbs moved across the sky below the drone footage. These UFOs were there to watch and record the fighting, suffering, carnage that we humans put ourselves through. Notice that there are two orbs, so that they can watch out for one another in case one is damaged. These are alien military drones, since there are two together, its the same as USAF fighter jet pilots always having a wingman to keep them out of trouble. Alien military is watching humanities military. Thats a little disturbing. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com

Date of sighting: August 10, 2014, reported Nov 2015 Location of sighting: Seal Beach, California, USA Source: MUFON #72632 This is a UFO report that just came in this week, however it occurred a year ago. Its only 2 seconds of footage and normally I would dismiss it, but it caught a UFO over Seal Beach in mid flight. That just cool. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com Eyewitness states: I was just taking pictures while my partner was fishing. I didn't like the way the sand diapered from underneath my feet every time the tied rolled in and out so I turned my camera off on my iPad and proceeded to clime up the rocks off the beach. When I went to take more pictures I noticed my iPad was on, on video. It had taken a one second video in witch I have sent to you and what is unbelievable to me and every one I have shown. There was no actual witness and nothing was heard. Funny thing about the video is it only let me play it on the iPad for a while before I was able to copy it else where and the original copy would flicker with numbers but my iPad was stolen and this copy don't do that. You now have the only copy as it wont let me copy it again.
A majority of young people endorse the scientific explanation of how humans evolved.

Few issues have divided the American public as bitterly as Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection. Since On the Origin of Species was published in 1859, it has driven a wedge between those who accept that humans and this planet’s other inhabitants have evolved over time, and those who believe that our species was created in its current form with no alterations. While the majority of people in Europe and in many other parts of the world accept evolution, the United States lags behind. Today, 4 in 10 adults in America believe that humans have existed in our present form since the beginning of time, and in many religious groups, that number is even higher. This is woeful.
Rachel E. Gross RACHEL E. GROSS Rachel E. Gross is a Slate editorial assistant.
Now, at long last, there seems to be hope: National polls show that creationism is beginning to falter, and Americans are finally starting to move in favor of evolution. After decades of legal battles, resistance to science education, and a deeply rooted cultural divide, evolution may be poised to win out once and for all.
The people responsible for this shift are the young. According to a recent Pew Research Center report, 73 percent of American adults younger than 30 expressed some sort of belief in evolution, a jump from 61 percent in 2009, the first year in which the question was asked. The number who believed in purely secular evolution (that is, not directed by any divine power) jumped from 40 percent to a majority of 51 percent. In other words, if you ask a younger American how humans arose, you’re likely to get an answer that has nothing to do with God.
The increase in younger people embracing evolution is “quite striking,” says Kenneth R. Miller, a biologist at Brown University and an expert witness the landmark court case Kitzmiller v. Dover, which kicked “intelligent design” out of public school classrooms in 2005. “We’re moving in the right direction.”
It’s not just the young who are moving in favor of secular evolution. The overall proportion of Americans who believe in secular evolution has doubled since 1999, from 9 percent to 19 percent, according to a 2014 Gallup poll. But it’s important to note that the jump in secular evolution does not necessarily correspond to an increase in the total number who believe in evolution. Instead, most of that increase has been drawn from the pool of Americans who previously reported that they believed in evolution guided by God, which simultaneously dropped from 40 percent to 31 percent.
* * *
Could these numbers be merely a blip—a stray mutation that will soon be weeded out of the population? Fortunately, there are several signs that these numbers do reflect a shifting cultural tide.
First, America is getting less religious. Today’s younger Americans no longer have the strong ties to organized religion that their parents did. About 56 million people now call themselves “nones” —meaning that they identify as atheist, agnostic, or nothing in particular on national surveys—a jump of 19 million since 2007, according to the 2014 Pew Research Center survey. Again, it’s the younger generation who are driving this shift: Fully 36 percent of young adults between 18 and 24 identify as nones, and the number of millennial adults who are religiously unaffiliated is growing fast.
That is not to say that religion doesn’t still exert a powerful hold on American identity; it does. However, the fact that fewer people are identifying with an organized religion is good news for science education, because many of those religions have historically opposed evolution.
Who are the people still perpetuating the view that evolution is a myth and that humans have existed basically as-is for the entirety of existence, which has lasted only about 10,000 years? By and large, they’re older Americans. About 34 percent of Americans 50 to 64 years old believe in creationism. For Americans older than 65, it’s 37 percent. From the perspective of people who endorse evolution, that’s a good thing—because, not to be insensitive, but old people die. When these elderly creationists shed their mortal coil, they will be replaced by that younger generation consisting increasingly of nones. The result: a steady phasing out of those who oppose evolution.
The gay rights movement had a word for this: generational momentum. “Which is a polite word for death,” says Evan Wolfson, the president and main architect behind Freedom to Marry. “That was our secret weapon: Old people die.”
Of course, old people dying wasn’t the only reason America finally made the historic decision this year to legalize same-sex marriage, Wolfson adds. To turn that cultural tide in such a short period of time, the supporters of gay marriage had to do something far more difficult: change deeply rooted attitudes and beliefs. Similarly, for the movement behind evolution to triumph, younger Americans who have been raised to believe in creationism need to be open to changing their minds. Fortunately, today’s generation is growing up in a time of greater open-mindedness and willingness to listen to evidence-based thinking, Wolfson says. Rather than being blinded by ideology, today’s young adults are open to evidence, facts, and reason. They want “information, not ideology.”
“Young people are growing up with a less ideological closed mind,” Wolfson told me. “Which is what a lot of the anti-evolution, anti–climate evolution, anti–climate change thinking is: It’s an ideology. It’s a refusal to engage with reality. Hopefully what we’re seeing here is that younger people are less prone to that. They’re allowing themselves to see the reality in front of them, as opposed to shutting their eyes on the basis of ideological denial. … They’re growing up in the midst of the conversation, growing up in the midst of reality, being open to reality, and not simply refusing to see what’s in front of you.”
There are many reasons for this shift. One is improving science education (more on that later). But another is that, in some ways, they don’t have a choice, argues Daniel Dennett, co-director of the Center for Cognitive Studies at Tufts University and co-author of Caught in the Pulpit: Leaving Belief Behind. He credits the rise of the Internet and the fact that today’s young people are more interconnected than ever before. “What is particularly corrosive to religion isn’t just the newly available information that can be unearthed by the curious,” Dennett wrote in April, in an op-ed entitled “Why the Future of Religion is Bleak” in the Wall Street Journal, “but the ambient knowledge that is shared by the general populace.”

1. Primordial Soup
TheBrownWelsh/YouTube
Let’s be honest with ourselves here, as much as we’d love to find a whizzy alien race with star-mining technology and awesome spaceships, but if we do ever find them, the chances are that they’ll be in the form of microbial sludge.
Soz.
Hey, we’ve all got to start somewhere. We were all microbial sludge at one point (go into any city centre on a Friday night and you might conclude that we haven’t moved on much) and now we have arms and legs and faces and spaceships.
Just give it a few billion years and we could finally get our civilised alien race, even if we did have to wait a bit for them to grow up.
It could be that one day in the far distant future, those little microbes will have grown up into walking, talking life forms and will look out to the stars and see one of our super-advanced generation ships fly past.
2. All Around Us (In A Different Dimension)
We spend most of our time pointing our telescopes at dim, distant objects in the sky, in the hope that one day we’ll see a little alien waving back (that’s how astronomy works, right?)
However, there is a theory floating around that the aliens could be all around us, just in a different dimension. This is also another contender for the “reasons why we haven’t been contacted” category, as it’s pretty difficult to communicate across dimensions.
The interdimensional hypothesis is commonly used by Ufologists as a way of explaining how alien spacecraft can appear to wink in and out of existence (don’t let that put you off though).
To consider another dimension, you have to think about moving in another direction in addition to up, down, left and right.
It’s quite difficult to get your head around what a four-dimensional projection into three-dimensional space would look like, you would essentially see a three-dimensional cross section of it moving and shifting through space. The best way to think about it is to scale it back to the second and third dimensions and imagine what it would look like to a two-dimensional being if you put your hand through the 2D plane that they live on.
The venerable Carl Sagan explains it in the video above.
The interdimensional hypothesis gets a bit muddied by everybody from ghost hunters to theoretical physicists using it to try to understand the universe.
Could it be that the aliens are all throwing big, four-dimensional parties without us?

The Black Knight Satellite: A Self-Replicating Alien probe?
The Black Knight Satellite: A Self-Replicating Alien probe?
What is the Black Knight satellite? Is it in fact a mysterious Alien probe that originated from the Epsilon Bootes system (The Epsilon Boötis is a double star in the northern constellation of Boötes. It has the traditional names Izar and Pulcherrima. )?
Was it placed into polar orbit 13,000 years ago? Well, we might not be able to accurately answer everything about it, but it is one of the most mysterious objects to orbit our planet.
According to monitoring agencies around the world, The Black knight satellite has been transmitting radio signals for over 50 years now. The anomalous satellite has captured the interest of numerous governments around the world, including the government of the US, Russia and China and there are even rumors that the Great Nikola Tesla was one of the first to intercept signals from this “Alien” satellite. After Tesla’s discovery in the next 30 to 50 years the signal was being intercepted more frequently until it was apparently “decoded”. Since the 1930’s Astronomers worldwide have been reporting strange radio signals which allegedly come from the “Black Knight”.
Many believe that the Black Knight Satellite is in nothing more than space debris, yet article written over 50 years ago tell a different story about the Black Knight Satellite.
The St. Louis Dispatch and The San Francisco Examiner wrote about the “Satellite” on May 14th 1954. The Time Magazine wrote about it on the seventh of March, 1960. Here is what they said about it.
Three weeks ago, headlines announced that the U.S. had detected a mysterious “dark” satellite wheeling overhead on a regular orbit. There was nervous speculation that it might be a surveillance satellite launched by the Russians, and it brought the uneasy sensation that the U.S. did not know what was going on over its own head. But last week the Department of Defense proudly announced that the satellite had been identified. It was a space derelict, the remains of an Air Force Discoverer satellite that had gone astray. Read the complete story by visiting the Time Magazine website.
But if this object is simply space debris, why so much interest from news agencies and radio operator who claim to have intercepted messages coming from the “Satellite”? Even Grumman Aircraft Corporation showed interest in the alleged Alien Satellite. On September 3, 1960, seven months after the satellite was first detected by radar, a tracking camera at Grumman Aircraft Corporation’s Long Island factory took a photograph of the Black Knight. At that point people all over the world started identifying the object in the sky, which could be seen as a red light moving at higher speed compared to other satellites in a East to West orbit. The Grumman Aircraft Corporation formed a committee to study the data received from the observations made but nothing was made public.
Is the Black Knight A Self-Replicating Alien Probe?
Well it might sound as something coming from a sci-fi novel but it’s actually possible according to a group of researchers who claim that our solar system could have been visited by Alien Probes.
According to scientists from the University of Edinburgh there are possibilities that “self-replicating” robotic alien spacecraft are venturing into our solar system. If this turned out to be true, these probes would be product of such highly advanced technology to our understanding, that these probes would literally appear invisible to human perception, researchers said. And it isn’t that far-fetched is it? The idea that somewhere out there are alien civilizations which are so advanced in every aspect, that we could not even see their existence in our reality.
In their work, Duncan Forgan and Arwen Nicholson affirm the possibility that highly advanced alien races are taking advantage of the gravitational field of the stars to speed up “their” spacecraft travelling through space. Interestingly, this “technique” would not be something exclusive to highly advanced alien beings: in fact, we use this technology for our own spacecraft. For example, the voyager probes are making use of the gravitational field of the planets to gain speed through space.
Even if the Black Knight Satellite isn’t one of the alleged “Self-Replicating” Alien probes, it doesn’t mean that our solar system is not being visited by such spacecraft. If we look at the Kardashev scale, we will see that a type III Alien civilization, which would have possession of energy on the scale of its own galaxy, and with access to the power comparable to the luminosity of the entire Milky Way galaxy , could be the perfect candidates to create such advanced spacecraft. Due to our lack of similar technology, it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for us to see and identify such probes.
What if, there are spacecraft in our solar system and near Earth, but we cannot see them since we lack the technology to do so?

Magnetic UFO Toy shows advanced propulsion probabilities
Magnetic UFO Toy shows advanced propulsion probabilities
Published on Oct 22, 2015
Watch the way this Magnetic UFO shaped toy is suspended in the air, due to the reverse poles of magnets facing each other, but with one spinning, the effect is levitation of the UFO toy. The way it starts to wobble reminds me of the wobble and falling leaf motion of some of the UFO's seen around the world. I wonder if this effect could be possible with the use of electro magnetics and our own magnetic field. I don't think this theory is anything new, but the toy raises some interesting food for thought in my opinion.

The Dalai Lama Explains What Extraterrestrial Bodies Look Like
The Dalai Lama Explains What Extraterrestrial Bodies Look Like
“There is abundant evidence that we are being contacted, that civilizations have been monitoring us for a very long time.” – Dr. Brian O’Leary, Former NASA Astronaut and Princeton Physics Professor (source)
“Yes, it’s both. It’s both literally, physically happening to a degree; and it’s also some kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another dimension. And so the phenomenon stretches us, or it asks us to stretch to open to realities that are not simply the literal physical world, but to extend to the possibility that there are other unseen realities from which our consciousness, our, if you will, learning processes over the past several hundred years have closed us off.” – John Mack (source)
Dr. John E. Mack, a Harvard University psychologist and Pulitzer prize winner, was interviewed for the documentary film about the Dalai Lama, called “The Dalai Lama Renaissance.” In the film he speaks about his conversations with the Dalai Lama about extraterrestrials and his experience with them.
It might be more of an awareness that the universe is filled with beings of all kinds. In fact when we were here he classified intelligent life in the cosmos in three categories: beings like us that have form that are embodied. Second were beings that have form where they’re not embodied, and the third is beings that have no form.
Here is another video of Dr. Mack explaining a common theme and belief of many as to why they are here. Based on my research, I believe there are multiple beings from multiple star systems and possibly other dimensions and universes. It’s logical to assume that there could be multiple motives, and multiple races out there who are also not at all concerned with us.
This was very interesting to me, as I recently wrote an article depicting what types of beings are most commonly reported by contactees, abductees, and experiencers. In it I provided a declassified FBI document that discusses similiar things of interest regarding ET bodies and craft. You can view that document (pages 21 & 22) here.
It’s important to note that Mack believed the ET phenomenon was, without question, real, and so did his funders (which included Lawrence Rockefeller, to give an example). (source) I’ve written two in-depth articles on Dr. Mack, there you can find out more information about him and the types of cases he investigated:
“Some of what people report as UFOs are extraterrestrial (ET) vehicles. Some of those extraterrestrial vehicles actually have ET crews, and some of those ET crews catch and release humans.” — Dr. Don Donderi, a retired McGill University Professor of 40 years in the Department of Psychology(source)
Here is another video of the Dalai Lama sharing his views on extraterrestrial contact, basically saying that we should look upon them as we look upon ourselves — another equal form of life.
What are your thoughts on the Dalai Lama’s statements?
“There is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for many years by people from outer space, from other civilizations. . . . [and] it behooves us, in case some of these people in the future or now should turn hostile, to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation and not the subject of ‘rubbishing’ by tabloid newspapers.” — Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, Former Chief of Defence Staff, 5 Star Admiral of the Royal Navy, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (source)
A number of different ‘faiths’ or religions have different depictions of extraterrestrial and/or extradimensional beings. It’s not really clear (to me) under what definition of ours (humanity) Buddhism would fall under, but the Dalai Lama, along with other texts and various teachings are no doubt aware of the fact that there our cosmos is teeming with all kinds of life.
The number of habitable worlds in our galaxy alone exists in the tens of billions, and that’s on the lower end of the scale. And the number of habitable galaxies we can see apart from our own is approximately one hundred billion. That means there are billions of planets within each galaxy, in a sea of galaxies, which seems to be infinite — that we are aware of. To ponder the idea that intelligent extraterrestrial life might exist out there in all that endless possibility only seems natural. How could there not be?
“If we looked down at the world from space, we would not see any demarcations of national boundaries. We would simply see one small planet, just one.” — The Dalai Lama
In fact, the general consensus within the scientific community is that we are not alone, and a growing number of academics agree that intelligent extraterrestrial life has already visited this plant and continues to do so. Perhaps this is why, last year, NASA teamed up with the Library of Congress to bring together scientists and theologians to discuss the idea of extraterrestrial contact and its implications. You can read more about that here.
“An extraterrestrial influence is investigating our planet. Something is monitoring the planet and they are monitoring it very cautiously.” — 2008 Presidential Candidate Mike Gravel (source)(source)

President Obama on UFOs: These things aren’t as top secret as you’d think
President Obama on UFOs: These things aren’t as top secret as you’d think
President Obama says that these things aren’t as top secret as you’d think ( speaking about UFOs)
Like many presidents before him, President Obama has been asked a lot about Alien Life and UFO’s. He might not be as interested as former president Ronald Reagan, but he certainly found time to speak about the subject on several occasions.
In a recent interview published by GQ Obama addressed the UFO and Alien issue once again.
“I gotta tell you, it’s a little disappointing. People always ask me about Roswell and the aliens and UFOs, and it turns out the stuff going on that’s top secret isn’t nearly as exciting as you expect. In this day and age, it’s not as top secret as you’d think.”
Not long ago in March 2015, in a pretty interesting interview with Jimmy Kimmel, President Obama was asked, again, about UFO’s, Alien life elsewhere in the cosmos and Area 51.
While Obama remained in his charming mood, he made it clear that he was not able to disclose any information about Aliens because these beings “exercise strict control over us.”
While many believe Obama was only being sarcastic during the interview, there are other who believe the president was being honest.
Its hard to tell if Obama was joking or not, but the fact that he has addressed the issue several times certainly tells us something about Obama and his opinion and UFO’s And Alien life. While he could have denied the whole idea proposed by numerous Ufologists, President Obama has chosen to leave room for thought.
Former FBI special Agent Ben Hansen analyzed President Obama’s interview with Kimmel and concluded that the President was speaking the truth when he answered “I can’t reveal anything,” which should not come as a surprise according to the former FBI agent. It’s clear that the President will not discuss top secret issues on TV nor can he divulge information of that kind to the public.
So, just as many other government officials and scientists that had access to this kind of information, the president of the United States has given us a lot to think about regarding alien life and the UFO Phenomenon.
Remember, in the past, individuals such as Dr. Farouk El Baz, on of NASA’s main scientists said in a statement: “Not every discovery has been announced.”
Not long ago, renowned scientist Professor Stephen Hawking said: “To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational”

UFOS: THE STIFF REALITY OF A FLEXIBLE PHENOMENON
UFOS: THE STIFF REALITY OF A FLEXIBLE PHENOMENON
by: Ryan Sprague
When facing the UFO phenomenon head on, the most problematic question one may ask is actually the most simple: Are UFOs real?
The answer is yes. The answer is always yes. In fact, it’s literally right there in the letters; UFO. It is, in essence, an object in flight that is unidentified. Perhaps the most common place definition comes from the late astronomer, J. Allen Hynek. In his book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry, Hynek dryly, yet appropriately describes a UFO as being:
“… the reported perception of an object or light seen in the sky or upon the land. The appearance, trajectory, and general dynamic and luminescent behavior of which do not suggest a logical, conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a common sense identification, if one is possible.”
( J. Allen Hynek)
It doesn’t get much more self-explanatory than that. But where did this painfully obvious term stem from? And why, throughout the past sixty years or so, has it become not so obvious? The acronym was coined by Captain Edward Ruppelt, who in 1953, led the official investigation into aerial phenomena through the channels of the U.S. Air Force. To further the public from any notion that these objects were extraterrestrial, Ruppelt , serving as a catch-all for the mysterious objects appearing, flying, and sometimes floating through the skies. The acronym stuck, remaining the go-to letters for almost every media outlet known to man.
(Edward J. Ruppelt)
Thousands and thousands of declassified documents by intelligence agencies around the world can be found in reference to UFOs. These documents boast reports from the simply mundane misidentifications and natural phenomena, to the most intriguing and perplexing, begging more questions on just exactly what these UFOs are and are not. Here, in the United States, we left it up to the military to investigate what could potentially be a threat to our own safety on the hard ground below and the cushioned security of our skies above. Let’s take a look at how it all began.
The Official Study of the Phenomenon Begins… and Ends
The U.S. Air Force first attempted to decipher the enigmatic code behind these aerial phenomena back in 1947 with Project Sign. As the project’s personnel compiled case after case of sightings, they argued that what they seemed to be dealing with was in fact something of extraterrestrial intelligence. However, this notion was quickly swept under the rug, and replaced in 1949 by Project Grudge. Headed by aeronautical engineer, Edward J Ruppelt, Project Grudge was in essence, a continuation of looking into these phenomena with a much more objective eye, dismantling the possibility that UFO activity was caused by anything but natural and/or manmade anomalies and intervention.
The study of UFOs continued in its final iteration, Project Blue Book, in 1952. This was the longest, and most well publicized Air Force study, compiling over 12,000 reports of sightings in the western world alone. Project Blue Book continued until 1968, when the Air Force-funded Condon Committee was created to draft a final report on their findings. Physicist, Edward U. Condon, and an investigative group out of the University of Colorado, used files from Project Blue Book and several independent UFO research organizations to determine that, first and foremost, UFOs caused no threat to national security. They also concluded that there was absolutely no scientific evidence proving that UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin. And with that, the official American study of the phenomenon came to a whimpering end. But that didn’t stop certain members of these projects from looking further into the phenomenon and case reports.
Civilian Research Organizations
Many individuals within the government sphere were involved in the study of UFOs. Most notably of these individuals was none other than the aforementioned J. Allen Hynek. Hynek, having been a lead investigator all throughout Project Grudge and Project Blue Book, was first hired to explain away each and every UFO report as natural or manmade phenomena. But after seeing Blue Book out until the very end, he simply couldn’t accept that that was a conventional explanation for every sighting or incident. His skeptical view slowly tilted to a more open-minded approach, favoring the idea that some of the UFOs being seen could in fact be of an extraterrestrial or non-human intelligence. And in 1973, he would found the Chicago-based Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). This organization consisted of many credible scientists and researchers who evaluated UFO reports in a careful and thorough way. To this day, a large archive of the work done by Hynek and CUFOS can be found through various online outlets and through the publication of Hynek’s definitive book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry.
While many other organizations came and went, perhaps the most visible and well known would have to be the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Originally founded by Walt Andrus, a technology manager and educator, and John Schuessler, a retired aerospace engineer, the two would invite many of their colleagues to join the organization, such as notable nuclear physicist, Stanton Friedman and optical physicist, Dr. Bruce Maccabee. Using their technical and analytical skills in many different arenas throughout the years, MUFON now boasts chapters in every single state, investigating cases of aerial phenomena, close encounters, and in its most modern iteration, even supposed alien abduction cases. Investigators bring their reports and data to the state directors who then follow up on many of the cases with an objective and critical approach. MUFON remains active today, hosting several large conferences throughout the year and an annual journal of case reports.
Unlike the investigative organizations above, there is another ambitious undertaking that consists of compilation of UFO reports by the public. The National UFO Reporting Center, (NUFORC) founded in 1974 by Robert J. Gribble, the center has catalogued a staggering 90,000 reports in its history. Aside from its cataloguing endeavors, the center also provides regional statistics to assist specific geographical needs of those who seek information about local sightings and reports. The center remains active as this book is being published, having been taken over in 1994 by Peter Davenport, a former MUFON member, and professor of genetics and biochemistry. Davenport sing-handily runs the center from his home, and updates case reports on a weekly basis.
(Peter Davenport)
While many other civilian organizations have come and gone, the challenge for each seemed to be that of funding. Each organization held highly esteemed scientists and every facet, yet very little money had ever been set into place to provide any substantial sustainability. This is something the scientific community, UFOs aside, have always wrestled with. How does one fund their research when theory is their only means in which to progress? Perhaps this may be why scientific study into the UFO phenomenon lay deep on the fringe, splintering off into the above organizations in all their ambitious efforts. Perhaps by looking closer at the relationship between mainstream science and the UFO phenomenon, we can begin to narrow in on the phenomenon’s deeply embedded, and often ridiculed reputation.
Mainstream Science and UFOs
After the sobering determination made by the Condon Committee’s report, all hope of a possible intelligent extraterrestrial presence seemed to dissipate. But a small shred of debate by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) cracked open the possibility that the scientific community wasn’t completely against the notion of a possible alien phenomenon. In response to the Condon Report, the AIAA noted that at least thirty percent of cases studied remained unexplained by conventional and natural science, and that scientific benefit could still be gained by further study of the phenomenon.
Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic Magazine and contributor to Scientific American, once stated that:
“In all fields of science there is a residue of anomalies unexplained by the dominant theory. That does not mean the prevailing theory is wrong or that alternative theories are right. It just means that more work needs to be done to bring those anomalies into the accepted paradigm. In the meantime, it is okay to live with the uncertainty that not everything has an explanation.”
While Shermer accepts living in this uncertainty, many scientists keep the current paradigm in a stagnant purgatory, not only by ignoring the UFO phenomenon entirely, but refusing to even acknowledge the potential of such technologies and how they could ultimately benefit both science and on a greater scale, humanity. But the dark cloud looking above has always been that of pure ridicule, a festering specter whispering in the collective scientific ear that UFOs are simply bunk, and not worth the time, talents, or intelligence of some of the greatest thinkers in history. In a field where thought reigns supreme, and reputations hang on the threads of governmental influence, far-out theories on exotic aircraft of potentially non-human intelligence could completely overshadow even the most influential of scientists and the contributions they have made to their respective fields. But there are those who are willing to put their thoughts in the face of ridicule and speak publicly about such fringe topics, and are willing to call others out for their woeful ignorance to the topic in general.
Of those who reject it right out, “They’re wrong, naive, stubborn, narrow-minded, afraid and fearful,” says Eric Davis, an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics award winning- propulsion physicist at the Institute of Advanced Studies. In an interview with Lee Spiegel of the Huffington Post, Davis would elaborate: “It’s a dirty word (UFOs) and a forbidden topic. Science is about open-minded inquiry. You shouldn’t be laughing off people. You should show more deference and respect to them. Scientists need to get back to using the scientific method to study things that are unknown and unusual, and the UFO subject is one of them.”
While such accusations can seem generalized, Davis also admits that there are many scientists who do study the phenomenon, if even from the peripheral. “There are those who are aware of evidence and observational data that is irrefutable. It is absolutely corroborated, using forensic techniques and methodology. But they won’t come out and publicize that because they fear it. Not the subject, but the backlash from their professional colleagues.”
Davis goes on to admit that this topic isn’t just meant to be studied by the scientific community. “It’s the domain of military intelligence,” he suggests. “The fact that [unknown] craft are flying around Earth is not a subject for science, it’s a subject for intelligence-gathering, collection and analysis. That’s because UFOs are not a natural phenomenon, and that’s what science studies.”
(Eric Davis)
Whatever these UFOs may or may not be, they seem to defy most conventional propulsion theories that we readily know of here on our planet. But therein lay the limitations scientific methodology. For instance, why do UFOs, making the most dramatic and unconventional maneuvers, need to be piloted by some sort of biological entity? Why is this the reason that some scientists dismiss the objects being piloted craft whose said pilots could not conceivably survive such speeds, velocity, or maneuvers? We send hundreds of unmanned spacecraft out into the heavens constantly for this very reason. What if the objects we witness, racing, floating, and suddenly appearing and disappearing in our skies are nothing more than highly advance drones from somewhere off-planet? Perhaps it could be best summarized by theoretical physicist, Michio Kaku. He once remarked:
“Some scientists have scoffed at UFOs because they don’t fit any of the gigantic propulsion designs being considered by engineers today, such as ramjet fusion engines, huge laser-powered sails and nuclear pulsed engines, which might be miles across. But UFOs can be as small as a jet airplane, and can refuel from a nearby moon base. So sightings may correspond to unmanned reconnaissance ships.”
(Michio Kaku)
So if we are dealing with potential craft (some being unmanned perhaps, some not) entering our atmosphere from space, who better to carry the proverbial weight of UFO observation and possible investigation than those who study celestial bodies and space itself? With the most powerful telescopes observing objects of great distance, and individuals with vast knowledge of what could potentially lay within and beyond earth’s atmosphere, it would be more than appropriate for astronomers to play a large role in the search for truth behind these elusive anomalies.
In 2010, a barrage of UFO sightings saturated the headlines of Chinese newspapers, reports coming in almost on a daily basis. As strange lights and solid objects plagued the skies of China, local airports were temporarily shut down until the objects could no longer be observed as a potential threat for landings and takeoff. Clearly, this was turning into more than just a simple misidentification by civilians.
Planetary astronomer, Wang Sichao, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, investigated many of these sightings throughout the years, taking a keen interest in the phenomenon as it hit closer and closer to home at the Purple Mountain Observatory where he worked. In at interview with the Beijing Review, Sichao would comment on the UFO reports as “events of credible facts backed by observation. But these facts cannot yet be explained by existing scientific knowledge or natural phenomena.” And while Sichao took on the bulk of UFO sightings in China for self interest and curiosity, he would go on to explain why astronomers are not primarily in the business of searching for or investigating UFO reports: “The reason is that a UFO only appears randomly and often disappears rapidly in a few minutes,” he would continue. “By the time large professional telescopes are started up, it has already disappeared. So, we can only rely on information from occasional sightings or encounters by observers.”
(Purple Mountain Observatory)
In his book, The UFO Phenomenon: Should I Believe?, author and scientist, Dr. Robert Davis points out that:
“Evidence within Ufology is largely based on such anecdotal claims, it is very difficult to build testable hypotheses to either reject or confirm through a validation process, such as, testing predictions against observations to confirm a hypothesis…. ufology would greatly benefit from collaborative research efforts with the scientific community, but instead, have often alienated (no pun intended) them.”
It would seem that with the amount of dedicated scientists connected to the study of UFOs in its sordid independent organizational past, that rigorous scientific method and mainstream acceptance would gradually become inevitable. But with such a complex and frustrating phenomenon taunting us from the corner, it just doesn’t seem to be moving as swiftly as we may have hoped it would. To further the point that science and UFO studies are not exactly in synch, Richard Hall, assistant director of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) once stated: “Although the ranks of Ufology contain the seeds of science, it should not now pretend to be a science, but a popular movement advocating scientific investigation. It should (and could) clarify and present the factual evidence in a manner designed to encourage a true scientific investigation, which would make use of all the techniques and facilities available to science today.”
The Journey Begins
So while we seem to have varying opinions on a governmental, scientific, and civilian level, one factor remains constant: UFOs are on the mind of individuals in every walk of life, from the simple observer on the side of the road, to the most forward-thinking (and sometimes skeptical) scientists of yesterday and today. So again, we are faced with many dilemmas of how to move forward. These phenomena are far more complex than a singular non-human intelligence pulling the proverbial strings of mystery. A fellow colleague of mine, author and researcher, Micah Hanks, suggested the following in his book, The UFO Singularity:
“The mere proof of official interest in he UFO presence throughout the years cannot by itself make concrete the existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, nor can it prove that any single phenomenon can be attributed solely to the identity of the kinds of unidentifiable aircraft in our skies…probing even deeper into the mystery, there could yet be stranger solutions to the enigma that exists somewhere in our midst.”
(Micah Hanks)
Conclusions
While we continue to search for these strange answers in our midst, we also continue to question the approaches we take in that search. Whether it be from the anecdotal evidence of eyewitnesses or the analytical eye of scientists throughout the world, the phenomenon remains as elusive as ever. So in all its enigmatic glory, all we can truly do is continue to search somewhere in the skies for the answers we seek, and the questions we crave. Will we be satisfied with the answers science eventually gives us? Or will we deny it, leading us back down the path of the illogical and immeasurable? Only time will truly tell. And in that telling, we can be certain of one thing: the UFO phenomenon isn’t going to ever leave us. In fact, it seems that it has only begun its invasion on our curious, and ever-expanding minds.

Top 3 Secret Military bases in the world
Top 3 Secret Military bases in the world
No country is powerful unless it has a top secret military facility that nobody is allowed to trespass hundreds of yards of its vicinity. How else do you explain the development of hi-tech weapons and unusual sightings?
Here are 5 top secret locations you just can’t visit. At least not without getting shot at.
Area 51, Nevada, USA
This is where the alien technology is being reverse engineered for military purposes. The official name of the base is Groom Lake. The base is so secretive you are warned about being shot if you as much as come close. It has been associated with UFO sightings since the 60s.
Zhitkur underground base, Kapustin Yar, Russia
Also known as Russia’s Area 51, it’s said that this is where the Soviet Union launched the Sputnik satellite from. Like Area 51, Zhitkur too was linked to UFO sightings back in the days of the Soviet Union. It is said that Soviet Jets engaged in dogfights with UFOs. The facility is based 400 meters below the surface of the earth.
Porton Down, England
It’s said to be the home of England’s chemical and biological weapons, some of which were tested on human ‘guinea pigs’. They call Porton Down a military science park. Behind the ordinary name is the world’s oldest chemical weapons development establishment. It was set up in 1916 and has been surrounded in secrecy ever since. But is was only in the 1960s that the British government even admitted to its existence. During the Cold War, Porton Down was the site of biological and chemical weapons research. These weapons are said to have been tested on human subjects without their knowledge.
