Veel van deze verhalen zijn gebaseerd op de hypothese dat bepaalde Incasteden zijn verdwenen in het regenwoud en dat daar grote hoeveelheden goud verborgen liggen. Eén van de vele lokale legenden heeft betrekking op een beschaving die bekend werd vanwege de indrukwekkende lengte van de mensen die er deel van uitmaakten. Het gaat om mensen die ruim twee meter, en in sommige gevallen zelfs enkele meters lang werden. Aardverschuiving In de jungle van centraal-Ecuador zijn een aantal ruïnes en artefacten gevonden die geschikt lijken voor buitengewoon lange mensen. De omvang van het comlpex is nog onbekend omdat veel bouwwerken verborgen liggen onder de dichte begroeiing. Door een aardverschuiving als gevolg van zware regenval of een aardbeving is een deel van de begroeiing weggevaagd, waardoor één kant van een grote piramide is blootgelegd. Volgens één van de ontdekkers is het bouwwerk 80 meter lang en 80 meter hoog. Hij zag in de omgeving nog een aantal heuvels van dezelfde omvang en vermoedt dat het allemaal piramides zijn. Gereedschap Een tweede ontdekker, een wetenschapper, schat dat de grote stenen blokken waar het bouwwerk uit bestaat twee ton wegen. De piramide is gemaakt van honderden stenen blokken, die in verschillende vormen zijn uitgehouwen en op een speciale manier in elkaar zijn gepast. Rond de piramide zijn vele voorwerpen aangetroffen, waaronder stenen gereedschap in de vorm van hamers, keramiek en aardewerk. Binnenkort zal meer over de ontdekking naar buiten worden gebracht. DUNDY COUNTY -- The Nebraska Nugget
reported, "About 35 miles northwest of Benkelman, Dundy County, on
the 6th of June (1884) a very startling phenomenon occurred. It seems that John
W. Ellis and three of his herdsmen and a number of other cowboys were out
engaged in a roundup. They were startled by a terrific whirring noise over their
heads, and turning their eyes saw a blazing body falling like a shot to Earth.
It struck beyond them, being hidden from view by a bank." One of
the herdsmen, Alf Williamson, was burned as he approached the craft, which had
created a split in the ground as it dragged to a stop. He was taken back to
Ellis' home and treated for his burns. E.W. Rawlins, the brand inspector for the
district, came to inspect it. The Nebraska State Journal reported on the event
in 1887, saying, "One piece that looked like the blade of a
propeller screw, of a metal of an appearance like brass, about 16 inches wide,
three inches thick and three-and-a-half feet long, was picked up by a spade. It
would not weigh more than five pounds, but appeared as strong and compact as any
known metal. A fragment of a wheel with a milled rim, apparently having had a
diameter of seven or eight feet, was also picked up. It seemed to be of the same
material and had the same remarkable lightness." The lack of
physical evidence means there's nothing much left today, and John Buder, a field
researcher with the Mutual UFO Network of Nebraska, said that the people of
Dundy County shy away from talking about the event. Most of his investigation
into it has been research. He first stumbled across the story in a tourist's
guide to Nebraska. From there, he's found it in multiple books on the subject.
"There have been a lot of studies made on UFO crashes," Buder said.
"The people who I would claim know the most have not identified it
as a hoax." 
In fact, the crafts were often described as
"railroad engines without wheels" at the time.
"It's ironic that this same story, this being the first, was
repeated many more times worldwide at later dates," Buder said.
And as for the remnants, Buder thinks there might be some things tucked away in
the Republican River valley. "I wouldn't doubt that out there in one
of those tool sheds or barns out there, there's a piece of metal that no one

VOC of Sedona -- At
19:20 hours on 19 October 2013, as I was leaving my home, I sighted a Large,
very bright white light hovering above the southern edge of my property.
Aptos -- I was observing two
craft flying north along the Pacific coast. One craft had a blinking light
similar to an airplane and the other was a solid beam of light. I started
filming with my Canon 6D because I had got some footage of a beam of light the
night before. As soon as the people left the two craft turned into several dozen
craft for about a minute. I tried to refocus my camera and get as many of the
30-40 craft on video as I could, but it was difficult to get them all on film.

Delta I had just bought a new
camera and was outside taking quick pictures of a passing coal train with the
western slopes of the Grand Mesa with a strange object in the background on
October 19, 2013. I live on Route 92 about six miles east of Delta. There is a
jet flying above in all three pictures that barely moves, so it shows how
quickly the images were being taken. The object only appears in the first
picture and I didnt notice the object until I downloaded the pictures onto my
computer. It looks like a cross between a tear-drop and an oval shape and
appears to be black with a smooth surface. This is now the 6th UFO Ive seen in

Venace -- My
wife spotted the craft while letting our dog out into our back
yard on October 17, 2013. She called me and I managed to get two still shots and
a short video of it with my cell phone. I have some piloting experience with
small aircraft and this was not anything I recognized. The craft made no sound
and appeared to be a bloom of light that altered course as it flew from the west
to east then turned slowly to the southeast. The craft then increased altitude
until it went out of sight. Its lights fluctuated from red, to orange and

Worcester -- Last night my husband yelled
for me and our boys to come out to the balcony to see orbs on October 17, 2013.
We always stand out there at all times because of our amazing view. We watched
five of these silent bright orbs flying slowly. Each one showed up within 30
seconds of each other. When one would be out of view for the 30 seconds the next
would fly over the horizon. I have seen every type of plane or air craft fly
over and around my home. They were glowing so bright! I have no idea what it

Rachel -- Driving south
to Mesquite on Highway 318 I noticed the sun was 
Santa Fe -- I was getting out of
my car when I looked up in the sky and saw a cylinder shaped object on October
19, 2013. It was very bright and almost not moving and got smaller, then larger
morphing into a cloud. It came back flying in a circle. It was rotating some
orange or red color. My neighbor was walking her dog and we were both watching.

Berea -- I was driving home and I
saw 20 to 30 of these lights in the sky that looked like a meteor shower but the
lights were in roughly three groups of 10 or so objects on October 10, 2013.
They moved in perfect formation and at the same exact speed. No trails from them
like youd see in a meteor shower nor were they falling. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Gettysburg -- Last Saturday evening on October 12,
2013, I saw something truly extraordinary just after 8 PM. I was headed to York,
PA on my motorcycle on a cloudy day and saw three very bright lights in the
shape of a long, acute triangle - low in the sky. They were impossible to miss
they were so bright and moving south at 5 or 10 mph. 
The same UFO descends rapidly at a steady pace every night
at about 7:15 pm and stays until about 8:30 pm. On October 16, 2013, it flew
down to the tree tops, and takes the same path it has for the past 6-months. Im
secluded out in the country and it changes shape and makes pictures in the sky.
It even wrote my first name in sky that I. sent pictures of it to my sister. She
was amazed and thinks I need to contact a real investigator. I have taken many

West Seattle -- I was traveling north on
63rd Avenue SW just before the intersection with Admiral Way on October 17,
2013. I saw two objects over head at 9:08 pm glowing orange with a red light on
their rear. I pulled over and took video with my phone. They were the size and
height of small prop planes but didnt have the typical plane beacons. The
objects themselves may have been diamond shaped as they slowly arc to the west.
I tracked them until they faded out together. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Kingston, Queensland -- On October 16,
2013, and nearly every day I capture similar phenomena here in Kingston. 
A passenger on commercial airliner took this video of a UFO
out the window on October 17, 2013 over Brazil. The craft flies from the
distance up to the airliner.
Chilliwack -- Henry Wall says, These photos were taken in
March of 2013 in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia which is about 60 miles
east of Vancouver. I also have photos taken in July show the same objects again

Mexico City On September 16, 2013, the camera captured
images of an unidentified object flying through a formation of Pilatus PC-7
aircraft at 1:02 PM. The images were taken with a: DCR-HC21 Camera by the two

pictures of the sunset. Two weeks later, I uploaded the pictures to my computer
for editing and noticed a strange image on one of the photos. I took the images
within seconds of each other and unidentifiable object was in each of the

Travis Walton reveals new theory on Fire in the Sky Abduction

One of the most prolific abduction cases in the history of ufology, which happened more than 35 years ago, was that of Travis Walton. His disappearance caused a whirlwind of news reports, controversy, and skepticism.
For his entire adult life, Walton has been carrying this emotional burden and the telling of his story has been, for the most part, a solo journey. Recently, at the 2012 International UFO Congress, two eye witnesses, John Goulette and Steve Pierce, came forward to speak with Walton about the incident. Hearing their stories has educated Walton about what Goulette and Pierce experienced during his abduction, and since then he has also connected with others who have shared similar stories. Making these connections and his own process of maturity has allowed Walton to reexamine his beliefs surrounding the incident.
Recently Walton sat down with Open Minds and during the interview it was apparent he had a certain newfound confidence. Whether it is the result of Walton being joined by his fellow workmen and sharing their stories, or just through the maturity process, it is evident that Walton has become much more comfortable in his own skin.
One can only speculate how someone is personally affected after an experience like this. The truth as to why this happened to Walton will probably never be known for sure. But he continues to press on and uses his new conviction surrounding the incident to broaden his philosophy on life and society.
