UFO mania: Mystery of the Tayos Cave - Legendary Metal Library Found in Ecuador
In what maybe one of the biggest discoveries ever, a team of explorers is claiming that they have found the legendary golden library and other mysterious treasures in the Tayos Cave system in Ecuador. The team announced that they accidentally found some hidden tunnels that were obviously dug out artificially sometime in the ancient past while inside one of the main chambers. The team was able to follow one of these tunnels for approximately ½ mile and came upon a large room containing the golden library and various other treasures.
Below is a list of what the explorers claim to have found in this chamber:
1. A library with thousands of metal books. The team was unable to specify what metal the books were made of but the look was similar to silver. Each page had symbols and strange writing on them.
2. Individual plates with writing on them and strange symbols that looked to be made of gold.
3. At least several hundred statues of insects, animals and humans spread throughout the large chamber.
4. Lots of metal bars thought to be both gold and/or silver. Also found were various children’s toys and jewelry items made from gold or silver.
5. One large sarcophagus containing one human skeleton decorated with jewels and golden jewelry.
6. The team also found at least three doors that could be more tombs but were sealed completely shut.
As of right now, the team has only announced their findings onto a radio show and no other announcements have been made so the jury is still out as too whether their claims are completely true.
The team did claim to have samples of at least one of the metal books, one golden plate and several small statues that they will be submitting to professional testing so hopefully this will give us answers shortly.
The story was unlikely to make the newswires, much less the major newspapers in the Northern Hemisphere, concerned as they were with celebrity gossip and political infighting. The event, after all, had transpired out where God lost his sneakers, as some would say, or the back of beyond, in the language of more polite society. For it was out in the alkaline deserts of Chile where a unit of the state police – the Carabineros – had suppressed a religious sect with very strange beliefs in the summer of 2010.
Law enforcement had arrested eight people in the community of Vilcún, charging them with belonging to a fanatical cult that revolved around the figure of an eleven year-old child known only as “La Princesita” – The Little Princess – having less to do with a Disney royal figure and more with an oracular child of ancient times. The eight members of the “family” – known as the Santa Ana Cult in the media – protested their innocence and their right to worship freely. “We are God's chosen, followers of Christ, and for that reason we are fearless. We have done no wrong.”
Major Jorge Alvarado of the Carabineros strike force noted that the male occupants of the home had long hair and beards, arguing that the law enforcement agents could not enter the premises because “it was holy ground.”
The authorities thought differently about the matter. Rural police officers had been violently chased away from the property during an attempted search, motivated by the fact that the girl had not been to school in months, much to the concern of officials. The toughened Carabineros had stormed the house with a warrant from prosecutor Omar Mérida only to discover that a sort of altar had been erected in honor of “La Princesita”, festooned with candles, religious imagery and statues. Ther was an even more ominous discovery: an assortment of firearms ranging from handguns to hunting rifles, ammunition, water bottles, batteries, flashlights and other supplies one might well stockpile in the light of an imminent disaster. Even more disturbing was a coal-black goat tied to a stake in the back yard – its purpose, said the police report, was unclear.
“The child told us a huge earthquake was coming, and we had to pray to stave it off. She has the visions, she speaks to the angels.” These were the words of clan leader Cesar Baeza as reported by El Austral de Temuco newspaper. Baeza had worked for years as the caretaker of Fundo Santa Ana (the Santa Ana estate) and he argued that the Little Princess had accurately predicted the February 27 earthquake that year. Angelic forces, he argued, had contacted the child and told her to build the altar. “They told us we had to pray a lot to scare the devil away. We prayed daily, some four times a day. She helped us fight the demons that sometimes came to the house at night.”
When asked about the weapons, Baeza argued that they were for protection against Mapuche indians bent on seizing the estate for themselves. Prosecutor Mérida was unmoved by these allegations. As far as he was concerned, “the group shows the characteristics of being a cult in the sense of having an intense, religious-type doctrine.”
Perhaps some supernatural forces aided and abetted the Santa Ana Cult. Two years later, a court absolved them of any wrongdoing, merely charging them with possession of unlicensed firearms and munitions. Whether the bearded men returned to worshipping their oracular child and fighting demons in dark is anyone's guess.
High Strangeness or Madness?
In mid-June 1997, the UFOR mailing list posted an item that remains shrouded in mystery. The list’s owner, Francisco Lopez, did his level best to glean further information on the subject even many months later, when I pressed him for assistance in writing the kernel of what would many years later become this article. But it was no use. In the age of the Internet, that hall of mirrors in which people can appear and disappear with impunity by changing e-mail accounts and assuming different names (and even identities), the source was well out of reach. The posted item may indeed prove someday to have been a compelling hoax, but there are certain details about it that have a ring of truth about them.
The narration begins in medias res, in the best tradition of classic epics:”.. I want to get the whole of the information first, and then release it, rather than just parts,” begins its author. “Also, I need to edit out certain portions. Certain information does not need to be released to the public. In some cases the less they know, the better; it allowed us to work with fewer interruptions.” He or she then adds, with chilling effect: “You should never be in the company of one with who you would not wish to die.”
This ominous opening would have soared to new heights were it not for the fact that the names and places mentioned in the message were redacted with a series of asterisks. The author, a man or woman with a military or law enforcement background, had participated in the raid of a compound which involved live arms fire in which “all brass was accounted for.” The compound, a privately owned skiing or hunting lodge, was then gutted and made to look abandoned by the government forces involved.
“As little evidence as possible was left,” states the cryptic author after indicating that a nameless group had been disbanded. “Only Terran humans were found, no XTs or Greys.”
This assertion might well relegate the unknown writer to the lunatic fringe, since belief and/or concern of the alleged alien Greys has waned in recent years. The message goes on to talk of how the “cult” in question had cooperated with a number of individuals over an unspecified number of years in the acquisition of “breeder semen from sperm banks” and from unsuspecting human males drawn into certain situations, only to be drugged and subjected to the removal of such a fluid with a syringe. It was then “flash-frozen by use of a portable D-flask of liquid nitrogen, to be stored at a central location,” according to the author.
A spec script for the X-Files or a description of a real event? The author continues:
“They used a group of “renegade” (omitted) as aids (sic) and “technical support,” with a high priestess working closely with the upper echelons of the (omitted). It appears that, despite the usual (omitted) beliefs, this priestess and her companions were heretics, if such a term can be applied to (omitted) at all.”
The cult mentioned in this mind-bending message appeared to be quite deft with the use of weapons, and a veritable arsenal of high-power rifles, shotguns and combat weapons, including “an HK-91 sniper rifle…a Steyr AUG Selective Fire Conversion, and a US Army M60, with about 7000 rounds of .30 cal ammunition…over fifty hand grenades, including explosive, flash, incendiary and smoke…180 kilos of Czech plastique explosive and over a hundred military squibbs (detonators),” are mentioned in the text. It is a supreme irony that this arsenal of death should prove comfortingly familiar within such a high-strangeness context.
The allegations continue: the cult members were in contact with a human group claiming to act on behalf of the “Greys” and capable of projecting images of the entities from opaque, vitreous cubes. Although the author professes being unable to examine this information for him/herself, the putative alien messages appear to have been linked with clandestine UFO landings. “Techniques have been used to confirm that at least one incident took place during May of 1995, but nothing further could be determined.”
Many UFOR subscribers read this message and many, upon reading this article, may question the wisdom of reprinting more unconfirmed UFO-related speculation. One guesses that the entire operation may have been a huge “psy-ops” exercise involving live fire, good guys and “bad guys,” with the entire alien scenario thrown in for good measure or even as a “sickener” factor for the trainees.
“He Died Like a Space Commander”
The alien action/adventure story posted to UFOR smacked more of science fiction than of Sigma Draconis until Argentinean researcher Andrea Perez Simondini—widely known in her country for her contributions to the study of UFO incidents along with her mother Sylvia, as well as for being an active political figure—forwarded a real-life account of a situation which, at first blush, hauntingly echoed the one scenario posted to UFOR.
“The mystery of the Radar 1 group has finally been solved,” noted Andrea in her letter. A contactee cult known as ASHTAR had apparently spawned a disturbed group of paramilitary types, led by one Guillermo Romeu, who assumed the name “Radar 1.”
The offshoot organization appeared to have been much more successful than its parent in gaining a following and making itself known. Romeu and his acolytes had access to the best technology and were not afraid to employ it: from their headquarters at 269 Wernicke in the village of Boulougne, Buenos Aires province, “Radar 1″ (publicly known as Iglesia Manantial, the Wellspring Church) broadcast its own brand of ufolatry over the FM airwaves. Their station boasted a recording studio with three consoles and mixing board for special effects, eight computers (whose hard drives had been erased prior to the raid by Argentinean authorities on January 12, 1998 and Romeu’s death by self-inflicted gunshot) and the same ominous arsenal as the improbable cult mentioned on the UFOR list: one surface-to-air missile, bullets of various calibers, gas masks, incendiary bombs, tear gas, Israeli-made Desert Eagle.50 caliber antiaircraft handguns (sic) of the kind used during the Gulf War, an approach radar, chemical sample analysis equipment, radiation, electromagnetic, electrostatic and heat detectors, etc. All of this gear was stored in a Bronco 4 x 4, which they would use for alleged field research.
Simondini’s letter explained that all of this lethal and non-lethal hardware had been paid for partly by the 400 to 4000 peso contributions of the cult’s membership and its affiliates. “We strongly believe,” she wrote, “that the sect is a facade and there exists a cover-up concerning the weaponry.”
Just who was this Guillermo Romeu? An electrician and occasional private pilot, he had joined a contactee study group directed by former UFO researcher Pedro Romaniuk before being expelled a year and a half later. It was during this time that the new cult was spawned, preaching messages received from the ubiquitous space brother known as Commander Ashtar Sheran concerning the “extraterrestrial evacuation plan.” In a clever move, the cult leader insisted on the group being widely known as Iglesia Manantial in order to draw recruits from a large membership pool composed by Pentecostal worshippers from other churches.
Guillermo Romeu claimed that his extensive offensive capabilities, gathered since 1991, were devoted to a single purpose: defense against the alien Greys, whom he characterized as “extremely hostile and [who] are using us as a source of food.” Two years later, his disciples were further cautioned that “an extraterrestrial race sent by the Antichrist prior to the Battle of Armageddon” would have to be held off by force of arms, thus prompting new arms purchases and further training. Radar-1’s members were not averse to parading around in full battle array, showing off their weapons and alarming the general public. They boastfully termed themselves “Grey Hunters.”
As in all cults, the price of dissent was high. Romeu was as authoritarian a leader as any, and those among his “Grey Hunters” who showed signs of wanting to part company with the group were threatened and harassed. Those who left lived in constant fear of being assassinated.
Romeu’s wife’s called it quits in 1997, taking Cristin, the couple’s seven-year old son, with her. The cult leader successfully gained the court’s permission to attend Cristin’s eighth birthday. To everyone’s horror, Romeu pulled a pistol from his jacket, stood straight, and placed a bulled through his right temple. “My father died like a space commander,” said Romeu’s grief-stricken son.
Cecilia Diaz, the late Romeu’s mistress, told the press that the cult would continue its activities from the location of San Isidro and would “have more weapons.” Argentina’s Secretary of Worship, Angel Centeno, ruled that the cult’s right to exist could not be challenged, as it was lawfully registered with his ministry. The Argentinean Foundation for the Study of Cults (FAPES) subsequently reported that Romeu’s right hand man, Brian Bach, had assumed the reins of the cult, and urged the country’s legislature to appoint a commission to study cults along the lines adopted by many European countries.
Space Brother Blues
If we can bring ourselves to play the role of Devil’s Advocate yet again, can we lend any credence to the UFOR story as representing a mop-up operation against a saucer cult in the U.S., much in the same way that Argentina’s government moved against Iglesia Manantial? That country’s authorities made it clear that the cult was not being prosecuted for its beliefs but for its stockpile of weapons—the same argument wielded against the Branch Davidians at Waco.
There was clearly nothing in common between the cults except for the fact that the belief in UFOs and aliens were reason for their existence—the latter cult armed itself to the teeth against them, while the former served up man in a platter to these forces. It can be noted that both episodes serve as bookends to the Heaven’s Gate and the Solar Temple suicides. The late ’90s were certainly not kind to saucer cults.
But Guillermo Romeu’s violence is reminiscent, to a certain degree, of the activities of Brazilian contactee/terrorist Dino Kraspedon, the nom de guerre of Aladino Felix, who underwent an alleged contact experience in 1952 which was true to the contactee fashion of the time—nocturnal encounters in the wilderness with saucers and their humanoid occupants, disquisitions on “Man’s place in the universe” and life on other worlds. Kraspedon’s non-human “handlers” apparently endowed him with psychic powers, giving him insight into future human events.
Kraspedon dropped from sight until 1968, when he was arrested under suspicion of terrorism (not at all unlikely, since Brazil at the time was seething with political unrest, best exemplified by the activities of Carlos Marighella, the “father of urban terrorism”). In his UFO Encyclopedia, saucer historian Jerome Clark notes that Kraspedon was sentenced in 1971 and to be remanded into the mental health system, after which he vanishes from the record.
Was Aladino Felix truly contacted by aliens and steered wrong into a life of crime? He apparently recanted his alien contact experiences publicly, which should put an end to the story. Nonetheless, the connection between alleged “alien contact” which translates into violence cannot be overlooked.
Pirophos, UMMO’s Little Brother
Thirty-two years after it first erupted on the scene, Spain’s UMMO hoax still commands attention whenever it is mentioned. While not strictly a cult, given its lack of a leader and clear-cut objectives believers in the planet UMMO and the benevolent “Ummites” certainly carried on in cultish fashion. “Its very name ought to have given it away,” says the hoax’s creator, Jose Luis Jordan Pena, referring to the fact that UMMO shared the same sounds when pronounced as the Spanish word for “smoke.”
Galician journalist Bieito Pazos managed to secure a lengthy interview with this fascinating character, gleaning details about the blond haired space people from the star Wolf 424 and more importantly, a true cult which was formed in the wake of the UMMO experiment: a gathering of very intelligent men and women known as PIROPHOS.
The interest expressed in Kirlian photography by certain members of Spain’s “Sociedad de Parapsicologia” prompted Jordan Pena to realize that people, regardless of their educational or economic background, are fascinated by any phenomenon from which light is issued in a strange way. This led him to create the fictitious deity “Pirophos” and gather some twenty-odd persons in a grimy room in Madrid. One of Jordan Pena’s co-conspirators, known only as “C,” read out a letter (a tool that had worked well for UMMO) to the congregation, from “our beloved charismatic leader Phoros,” living somewhere in the United States. As the lights went out, the parties in attendance were startled to see a bluish light issuing from C’s mouth—proof positive that the Great God Pirophos had chosen the speaker as the “regional Phoselek” for all of Spain.
The hoaxer told his interviewer that the bluish light was “a basic yet uncommon triboluminescent phenomenon which requires the use of habitual and easily digestible substances.”
But that wasn’t the only surprise the master hoaxer held in store for his well-heeled disciples: on a table covered by a purple cloth stood a large glass container which contained a scintillating light which bathed the faces of all present in an eerie glow. Many of the economists, doctors, and engineers present dropped to their knees in the presence of the Great God Pirophos—who was in fact an amalgam of bioluminescent bacteria in a nutrient agar culture. Later on, explained Jordan Pena, “Pirophos” would be created based on a compound of phosphorus diluted in kerosene or toluene.
The Pirophoreans (to give them a name) were entreated to follow a basic “moral code” crafted by the hoaxer himself: a commitment to study physics and biology, kindness toward spouses and children, and above all, to maintain their religion in strict confidence. The cultists were also told that their faith’s supreme leader was a man named George Lipton from Albany, N.Y. (Jordon Pena had successfully placed one Theodore K. Polk from Export, P.A. among the dramatis personae of the UMMO saga) who lived in complete seclusion due to having achieved the rank of “Phoros”—as high as could be achieved in the Pirophorean cult. Mr. Lipton owed his secrecy to the fact that his body now shone with a brilliant blue light…
“This was the ultimate reward,” Jordon Pena stated, “to become the God Pirophos himself—immortal before dying and immune from all diseases … my eschatology was simple enough: the world would end in the year 4634 due to the explosion of a supernova some 220 light years from Earth. At that time, all the adepts who reached the rank of Phoros would be forever joined to that universal light known as Pirophos.”
But in the early 90’s the master hoaxer decided to bring his cult to an end, much in the same way he had exposed UMMO. The cult’s members accepted the fact that they had been duped with a mixture of astonishment and amusement. “Only two,” Jordan Pena told Pazos, “insist upon remaining faithful to that mysterious light.”
Jordan Pena’s tone throughout the interview with Pazos is that of a mischievous schoolboy recalling youthful escapades. A highly educated man, the creator of the UMMO and Pirophos does not suffer fools lightly, and both of his fictitious communities seem to serve the purpose of holding human gullibility up to the harsh light of public scrutiny.
Conclusion
As we make the leap into the 21st century, many aspects of ufology can be safely deemed as no longer relevant. While there is a certain degree of hubris involved in the making of such a pronouncement, few will disagree that things like the “angel hair” which represented a major feature of field’s early days still retains any currency. The same applies to the “critters” or “zeroids” the troubled the sleep of many a researcher in the Sixties: either the phenomenon ceased to occur, or it still occurs but researchers have gone off to pursue more fruitful endeavors, like abduction research or Roswell.
While it is undeniably tempting to consign contacteeism to the graveyard of lost pursuits, the “kind space brothers” and their adepts enjoyed a resurgence in the latter years of the decade. The reasons for this range from disillusionment with formal ufology (which is seen as having failed to “explain” the UFO riddle) to a desire to merge spirituality and the ufological avocation into a single current. Some might find humor in the realization that the very same arguments put forth by scientists regarding the public’s dalliance with UFOs are similar to the ones used within ufology to explain the desertions within the field toward the “garden path” of contacteeism.
But 90’s (and early ’00’s)-style contactee groups seem to differ markedly from their mid-Century counterparts, showing a more volatile and violent face to world.

James Penniston was an Air Force Staff Sergeant at a joint U.S. Air Force and Royal Air Force base at Bentwaters. On December 26, 1980, he was sent to investigate strange lights on the forest. In the forest he came up to a triangular craft that was able to examine up close. This was part of one of the most well documented UFO sightings in history, referred to as the Rendlesham Forest Incident.

Witness report: “My wife and I were driving South on I-25 from Denver to Lone Tree, CO. US on November 17, 2014. I noticed two circular, large objects at very high altitude. They appeared to be moving slowly East.”
“I asked my wife to take photos of the objects, but not through the windshield. She used her iPhone 5S to take several (6-10) photos holding the phone outside of the passenger window facing the phone South.”
“Unfortunately, she deleted most of them after we got home because they were not good shots of the sky (she thought I wanted pictures of the “pretty” clouds).”

Category three hurricane hit Puerto Rico and the Great Antilles in late August 2011. Named as Hurricane Irene, it was considered as the worst storm with 120 mph winds. It caused significant storm surge and flooding, especially in Nissequogue, NY. Pronounce as NISS-ə-kwog, the Suffolk County bayside community is located on Long Island’s north shore.
A local boat owner, identified as Charlie, was so concerned about the safety of his vessel. He decided to check a webcam regularly that monitored the Defeo Marina, located five miles at Port Jefferson, where Charlie’s boat moored. On August 28, Sunday, at around 2:30 pm, Charlie checked the flood condition through the camera. Charlie then claimed that he saw a large silver object that appeared to be disc type in the sky above the flooded bay. He watched the strange activity for a few minutes as the aerial object hovered while rotating around. His initial thought was a weather balloon, but he noticed that it had lines and did not look like a balloon at all. Charlie took three images from the live webcam that were around 10 seconds apart. The screenshots show a disc-shaped flying object rotating in the camera. Unfortunately, Charlie found out upon speaking to the marina management that the live cam was not recorded. Charlie said that there were severe weather warnings during his UFO sighting, and most of the communities were evacuated. He also noted that there were no planes permitted to fly in or out of the regional New York airports during that time. Twas the week before Christmas in 1966, when twenty-three-year old Vincent and two pals decided to do a little winter fishing. The winter weather was rather temperate for December so they decided to do their fishing at a spot along the Hudson River, about 40 miles north of New York City.
To the east of them, on the shore of the Hudson, was the Indian Point Nuclear Power Station. On the western shore of Hudson was Harriman State Park.
The three young men were involved with the art of their fishing when suddenly something strange was spotted in the sky over or near Lake Tiorati deep in the Harriman forests.
Vincent tells us, “Suddenly a rare object of bronze color appeared, making no noise and its size was approximately 6 meters” (diameter).
Twenty-three-year old Vincent snapped four photos. Later the US Air Force – Project Blue Book representatives later did a scant investigation and quickly labeled the sighting photos a hoax. Later the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) studied the photos and interviewed the three men who witnessed the UFO event. NICAP investigators found no evidence of any hoax. This photo is in the archives of the Best Photos of UFOs website. (NICAP case 661218)
Lastly, it should be noted that the Indian Point Nuclear Power facility is just a mere three miles to the east of Lake Tiorati. The nuclear facility was ground zero for many high visibility Triangle and Chevron UFO sightings in the 1970s and 1980s.

Accepting clichés as being true without challenging them is bad in terms of critical thinking, so in this column, in no particular order, I’ll examine and deconstruct some of the most popular false claims that one hears about UFOs and ufologists.
“Why would UFOs need lights?” – This one is often trotted out with a knowing sneer by people whose point is that if UFOs are alien spacecraft, there would be no need for them to display lights. However, even if we accept that UFOs are extraterrestrial spaceships, we have no idea what the alien agenda might be, so we can make no meaningful assumptions about whether or not UFOs would emit light. It might be for reasons we could understand (anti-collision lights, a byproduct of a power source, etc.), or it might be for some reason we could never fathom. Assumptions about what UFOs and extraterrestrials would or wouldn’t do are inevitably rooted in anthropocentrism, and should almost always be avoided. As the UK’s Astronomer Royal, Sir Martin Rees, once said, when speculating about extraterrestrials, “Just as a chimpanzee can't understand quantum theory, it could be there are aspects of reality that are beyond the capacity of our brains … the problem is that we’re looking for something very much like us, assuming that they at least have something like the same mathematics and technology.”
“UFOs wouldn’t come all the way to Earth and then crash at Roswell”. The assumption here seems to be that with sufficient technological advance comes a sort of magical point at which accidents never occur; parts never fail, operators never make a mistake; etc. We only have one model to look at (our own), and everything in our own human experience suggests that however more advanced our technology becomes, we’ll never be able to design, for example, an aircraft that would never crash.
“Aliens wouldn’t come all the way to Earth and then [give an anal probe to some redneck/make a strange pattern in a wheat field/insert any other number of ufological clichés here]”. Again, if we’re being visited by intelligent extraterrestrials, we have no idea what their agenda is. Thus, we have no idea what they would or wouldn’t do. Add to this, we may be misinterpreting the experience. As John Mack, a former Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, once observed, many abductees report what appear to be medical procedures, but even if all the abductee accounts are truthful and accurately recalled, all we could really say with any degree of confidence is that the things being described sound similar to some medical procedures. The reality, as Mack pointed out, may be that what’s going on is something entirely different.
“Astronomers don’t see UFOs”. Yes they do. Google is your friend. On a related issue, being an amateur astronomer does not make someone an expert on UFOs, any more than knowing a bit about UFOs qualifies someone to start lecturing astronomers about titanium oxide production in K-type stars. Bear that in mind the next time you hear an amateur astronomer trying to convince you that they’re an expert on UFOs. This is a logical fallacy known as “an appeal to inappropriate authority”. Just because someone knows something about x, it doesn’t follow that they’re an expert on y, even if x and y might – at first glance – seem to have something in common. So just because someone can point out the location of the planet Venus in the night sky, it doesn’t follow that they can determine whether or not a particular UFO witness misidentified Venus.
“It would be arrogant to assume that we’re the only life in the Universe”. If I had a dollar for every time I’d heard this pro-alien life, pro-UFO argument, I’d have a lot of dollars. It’s a nice sound-bite, and this quote (and a number of variations on the theme) is actually a corruption of rocket scientist Wernher von Braun’s observation that “It would be the height of presumption to think we are the only living things in this enormous immensity”. However, neat sound-bite though it is, there’s probably a stronger argument, which goes beyond mere numbers. The point could probably be better made thus: “Given that the laws of physics and chemistry seem to be constant in the observable Universe, the same processes that gave rise to life on Earth should occur on countless other planets, meaning that unless one thinks life on Earth is some sort of cosmic miracle, the Universe should be teeming with life”.
“People on the UFO circuit are only in it for the money”. A few may be, but most aren’t, and if they are, they’re in for a rude awakening. If you see someone in the vendors’ room at a UFO conference, selling their own books and DVDs out of a cardboard box, the chances are they’re not getting rich from it. Most UFO books are self-published, or put out through publish-on-demand firms, or small, specialist New Age/paranormal presses. And so far as the handful of books with more mainstream publishing houses are concerned, the days of six figure advances for UFO books are long gone. But if ufologists do make some money from their books and DVDs, what’s wrong with that? They’ve done the research and produced the material. Does making a profit somehow invalidate one’s work? “I’m sorry Professor Hawking, but I can’t take any of your scientific achievements seriously, because you’ve written books about your work”. See how crazy this sounds?
“There’s no money in ufology”. This one sounds like the opposite of the previous point, and it’s equally false. Of course there’s money in ufology. It’s just that, for the most part, it’s not being made by ufologists! There are, however, plenty of TV networks, film companies, advertising agencies, PR firms and book publishers who make money from the subject. Try working out how much Steven Spielberg made out of UFOs.
In summary, always challenge the clichés that crop up so frequently in ufology, and bear in mind that just because you hear something all the time, it isn’t necessarily true.

De grootste kerncentrale van Europa staat in de Oekraïne. In het zuidoosten, ongeveer 50 kilometer van de stad Zaporizja en direct aan de rivier de Dnjepr.
Enkele dagen geleden verschenen er berichten op Zerohedge dat deze centrale een soort noodstop heeft gemaakt omdat er radioactieve lekkage zou zijn opgetreden. Eerder werd dit in alle toonaarden ontkend door de Oekraïne, maar het schijnt toch waar te zijn. Oekraiënse wetenschappers hebben de bevolking misleid want er is wel degelijk een lek waardoor de hoeveelheid straling voor de burgers ongeveer 16 keer hoger is dan de toegestane veiligheidsnorm.
De Russische publicatie Life News is in het bezit gekomen van geheime gelekte documenten waaruit blijkt dat ondanks dat er lekkage is, er bewust misleidende informatie op de website van de kerncentrale wordt geplaatst over dat er niets aan de hand zou zijn. Terwijl in de onderschepte documenten die opgesteld zijn door de Nooddiensten van de Staat en gericht zijn aan regionale nood- en hulpdiensten, wordt gesproken over straling hoger dan 16 keer de toegestane limiet.
Afgelopen zondag werd één van reactoren, unit nummer 6, automatisch afgesloten vanwege een probleem. Dit was al de tweede keer de afgelopen weken dat een operationele reactor werd stilgelegd. Later werd gemeld dat de problemen waren opgelost en dat reactor nummer 6 weer normaal dienst deed.
Eind november werd unit nummer 3 voor ongeveer een week stilgelegd in verband met kortsluitingsproblemen. Ook dit werd in eerste instantie volledig stil gehouden en pas 5 dagen na het stilleggen publiekelijk bekend.
De Zaporizja Kerncentrale is ontzettend belangrijk voor de Oekraïne want hij voorziet in de energiebehoefte van eenvijfde deel van het land.
Dan is er altijd weer de factor toeval en timing. Net nu dit alles speelt rondom de kerncentrales maakt de Oekraïne bekend dat ze van leverancier gaan veranderen voor wat betreft hun nucleaire brandstof. Dit was tot nu toe altijd het Russische bedrijf TVEL, maar die is enkele dagen geleden verwisseld voor het Amerikaanse Westinghouse. Enkele dagen geleden werd de overeenkomst getekend door beide partijen in Brussel en zal zeker tot 2020 duren.
Rusland is hier uiteraard niet blij en reageert via het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken met het volgende tweetbericht:

De volgende opname werd gemaakt door RT en laat boven het vliegveld van Donetsk in het oosten van de Oekraïne een aantal merkwaardige lichten zien die duidelijk niet van een vliegtuig afkomstig zijn.

Kepler lost its two reaction wheels, but this did not stop the NASA’s spacecraft to search for alien planets. Indeed, the space telescope discovers alien world again in its new mission. Since operating back again from a malfunction in May 2013, the spacecraft found its first new extraterrestrial planet named HIP 116454b, also called as the super Earth mainly because it is larger than approximately 2.5 times than planet Earth. Lies in the constellation Pisces, in 180 light-years from Earth, the newly discovered alien planet is near enough to be studied by other instruments, according to scientists.
The reborn of Kepler has been even better because the first discovered planet is ripe for follow-up studies, said scientist Andrew Vanderburg of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA).
Launched in March 2009, Kepler was on a 3.5-year mission to determine the number of Earth-like planets in the Milky Way galaxy. Scientists have discovered close to a thousand confirmed planets through Kepler. More than 50% of these known alien worlds are believed to be the real deal, along with approximately 3,200 other candidates.
In May 2013, Kepler’s second of its four reaction wheels malfunctioned. These wheels are necessary for precise pointing. However, the letdown did not stop the team to find a way to increase the stability of Kepler. Members of the team used the subtle pressure of sunlight to provide a solution to the stability issue then proposed a new mission named K2. The new Kepler’s mission would continue the hunt of exoplanet and study other cosmic phenomena as well as space objects.
Twelve times more massive as compared to Earth, the HIP 116454b is approximately 20,000 miles wide and its density suggests that it’s either a small version of Neptune with large, thick atmosphere or primarily covered by water.
The distance between the newly discovered world to its host star is 8.4 million miles or 13.5 million kilometers. Its host star is an orange dwarf, slightly smaller as well as cooler than the sun in the solar system. HIP 116454b completes an orbit every 9.1 days.
The planet’s close distance to Earth means it will be a top target for telescopes in space and on the ground.
A local of Colorado claimed to have spotted a lighted object hovering above nearby mountains in Colorado Springs. The aerial thing in the sky appeared to be a horseshoe in shape that quickly disappeared, according to Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Case 62085 from witness reporting database.
The reporting witness was driving together with his wife on December 16, 2014, when a UFO was observed over the north ridge of Pikes Peak.
While moving west on Vindicator, the couple saw a light that had a shape of a horseshoe. The wife managed to take two photos of the strange object in the sky using a cell phone.
The reporting witness said that the pictures, which were both taken at 4:48 p.m. on December 16 using an iPhone 5s, aren’t as detailed as what they observed, but a light can be seen with a sense of direction.
The reporting witness explained that the brightness of the object at dusk made them noticed the object. They both had no clue what it might have been when they first noticed it, but the reporting witness’ wife first thought it was some type of a rocket.
As described by the witness, the light or object was just over the north ridge of Pikes Peak having a yellow-orange-reddish light that was dazzling. It has a horseshoe shape with shoe-like ends that pointed down and turned at an angle. Upon turning, they saw an opening at the bottom as well as the arch at the top. The UFO seemed to be moving in southern direction in a slow manner and then hovering afterwards.
The couple had witnessed the entire UFO activity for two minutes before the object disappeared without a trace. After their sighting, the couple tried to search the internet for an explanation, but they could not find one until they stumbled with MUFON.
Alien and UFO debunkers clearly join UFO groups to closely monitor those who claim to be alien abductees and to plant seeds of ridicule.
From their abject denials, to their deliberate planting of Pollyanna disinformation, about alien creatures and their sinister motives, it can initially and wrongly make one wonder, whether there is intelligent life, on Earth.
Some debunkers, however, seem not to be purposeful, governmental planted cynics.
When someone like THAT surfaces, one must feel sorry for them because they are so very poorly informed, and one must tell them that there is no longer room for such ignorance, (ignoring evidence) in this endeavor, given the mountains of evidential details available.
But, a true debunker, is one who purposefully attempts to muddy the UFO fountain, such that none may drink.

I am drawn to a parade.
Moving swiftly forward, striding, I can see the popcorn strewn sidewalk beneath my feet and I can smell cotton candy cloying sweetness wafting in the breeze.
Just ahead, an excited blare of trumpets, a murmur of deeply lined crowds and a growing but yet still distant tattoo of drums, combine to urge and propel me forward.
I am holding hands, pulling along two children,one in each hand, as I rush forward, expectantly eager, with an urgency that these two very small children experience the brassy, colorful thrill, of a parade.
In my right hand is the palm of a human child, perhaps five years old, a child wiry and muscular with blond hair and bluest eyes, a robust human child.
In my other hand, I grasp a small, withered hand, one of an odd looking, frail, non-human child, with black almond-shaped eyes and very long, skinny arms and legs, a sickly, tubular creature-child, who struggles but who can't keep up.
I sweep this odd child up onto my shoulders to let it see ahead and to carry it ; I feel its joy as a strong psychic wave..
I look again, curious and more critical.
It is a handicapped, ailing entity, sadly listless and lifeless.
A facsimile look alike of the cartoon character, Gumby, its long grey arms and legs seem useless appendages, a long tubular shaped Gumby child, listless, ill and with no vitality.
I stare in amazement, clearly disgusted.
The scene changes, as does the perspective.
I am now looking down at this same grey tubular, now diapered child, laying on a bed.
I hear that same deep resonant voice repeatedly suggest that I change its diaper.
I was never an eager changer of diapers with my own babies, choosing sometimes to neglectfully leave a fully ripe and pungent baby for their mother to change.
I recoiled at the suggestion to nurture and care for it by changing its dirty diaper..
Both the creature and its toilet needs repulsed me, as I examined it more closely.
I awakened in bed, aware that the word, "dreams", used to describe abduction's surreal otherworldly-ness, is an impotent word, in our language, a problem with our language's inability to describe the alien astral experience in any other way.
"What a beautiful child!", as a phrase, is recalled by tens of thousands of abductees the world over, a phrase in an alien scripted scenario, in attempts to have offspring reunited with their somatic abductee parents for nurturing.
A painful thought arouses a dawning idea, that the ethereal, astral child is possibly of my spirit, blood and flesh.
And that's what abductions are all about, creating offspring, blending two very different species of beings, us and them, with many variations, farmed throughout the Universe, as a product, as we treat animals, in the same way, as we practice animal husbandry.
Abductions prevail and we are Manchurian candidates of stellar proportions.
Often abductions involve other unintended side effects.
Mass abductions, the taking of many people in an area at the same time, involves folding time and space, in a manner beyond belief, so that no time missed is noticed by abductees.
Time is a quaint variable, like gravity, both of which aliens have exploited in ways that we can only faintly imagine.
When UFO craft suddenly wink out, vanish and then reappear, in the exact same spot, they have actually traveled in time and returned.
I have decided not to awaken with nightmares and recollections of non-human creatures, and not to ever look up at the sky, to see craft.
I refuse to acknowledge this apparent lifetime's kidnapping and theft agreement, with aliens, on a spiritual level, as this particular personality of mine has been purposely made aware of these intrusions and as such, I believe that these experiences reflect a clear violation of spiritual rights, in their continuing.
I have dragged my feet and refused cooperation.
They changed tactics and redoubled their efforts.
I , through effective prayer, enlisted spiritual help from the same dimension that they use to enter our physical one, and they lent demons into the equation as spite work, and to muddle the picture.
I program myself to be more lucid in dreamstate, that I will remember, and then vague and vivid snippets remain which I can unfurl at leisure, by worrying the edges of the snippet, just before, and just after.
That focus works to open remembrances, for me..
What happened just before and just after the recalled snippet of memory will intrude slowly, until a fuller grasp entails.
They are careful to give me vivid realistic screen memories, imposed images that mask actual events, onboard craft, screen memories, dreamlike in nature.
Sometimes, not a moment elapses between sleep and awakening, when they wrap me in general blackness, so that I awake with nosebleeds, scoop marks and exhaustion, but without vivid remnants, to recall.
The screen memories are aligned with negative thoughts, scenarios imposed, by virtue of their worst scenario plots and their vividness.
They are masters of delusions and can have one dreaming a snug little dream, cocooned on a short psychic leash, while they march one around their craft for various purposes, and most abductees, the world over, are none the wiser.
Those abductees who recall anything whatsoever are rare and far inbetween.
I resent and frustrate their entrances, approaches and goals when I resist and their tempers ill befit the advanced technology that they have.
Since they primarily wait until one is in REM sleep, lucid dreaming works well to detect and interact with them and is worth all the trouble it takes to master techniques of lucid dreaming.
It is hard to imagine the planetary human hardships and brutal dilemmas in human history, likely orchestrated by these alien puppet masters.
I program myself subliminally to repeat: "I will no longer participate in these alien endeavors", to find in sleep that I am shaken forcibly by a dark demonic entity as strong as a bull, who says," You will do as you're TOLD!"
Prayer works, like a pesticide, only if it is effective and is repetitious.
While none of the standard appeals to saints and to Jesus works, repeating the word, " GOD", over and over, can set up a different vibration level that could instantly end an astral abduction, if one only had the presence of mind.
That's where lucid dreaming comes in.
One of Heaven's most engaged, Archangel St. Michael gives support in our battles against intrusive UFO evil to bring immediate temporary respite.
We are not alone or simply watched with benign neglect, by Heaven.
Never fear, as they feed ethereally from fears, but
Love them away, and they'll be puzzled enough to sit down and think things over, before they come again.
Creeping anxiety is the signature symptom of their unseen psychic intrusion, and if you feel that fear building, they're already peeking inside.
Panic attacks, are the soul's reaction to any ( demonic or alien, ) intrusions into the human psyche.
Treat the creepy anxiety as though it were an unwanted burglar, and order it away in the name of God.
You'll see that the feeling abates instantly, as they initially back off but like yellow jacket wasps at at a picnic cola, they unerringly try again, over and over.
Fighting them is a 24 hour 365 day job.
Panic attacks, are triggered by psychic intrusions of unseen opportunistic entities, and such panic attacks can be diminished and ended by ordering the entities away, like so many flies, at one's ethereal mustache, in the name of any being held holy, by one.
Why, the question remains, are we so helpless, in sleep, towards abductions?
Perhaps, aliens, ever thirsty for our endocrines, were mistaken as vampires in the 3rd and 4th centuries, because raw garlic works amazing well as an herbal repellent, on these grey-reptoid critters, just as it is reputed to do so with vampires.
During abductions, the human brain is somehow detached from the front of the brain, where one's shoe can hang before one's eyes but one cant discern just precisely what it is.
That's what looking out of the craft's window, and seeing the Earth, the Moon, nebulae and stars was like, precisely stated, for me.
The perspective was waking to find that I was asleep, wrapped in delusional thoughts and scenes.
I became lucid, onboard a craft, from an imposed alien trance, and discovered a host of others during a mass abduction, also on short, psychic, surreal leashes of psychic control, while we were manipulated around a large craft, for various purposes.
The psychic nature of these entities is most uncannily canny, and most who experience an abduction, will not recall being inside an alien craft , and will dismiss any vivid flashbacks, as dreams.
My only clue, was awakening with the joy of recalling a dream about an intricate gorgeous wood inlayed staircase that had brought me a sweet rapture.
Unfurling backwards, and forwards the events around that joy, at an ornate wood staircase revealed that my 'rapture', had been an alien telepathic ploy to erase my joyous memory , to cloud my recollections of my genuine awe, in seeing the Earth, the Moon, stars and purple nebulae, stunningly, in the blackest space, interspersed with tiny red and white stars, outside that craft's window.
By making a simple metal staircase turn into a lushy built wood inlay, by making the staircase the unrightful recipient of a powerfully imposed 'awe', and 'rapture', by turning the delusion's volume up too dramatically, a mind controlling screen memory failed, and ultimately backfired for the controlling, mind reading entity who had imposed it!

This time, NASA and the Library of Congress have teamed up bringing together scientists, theologians, philosophers and historians from around the globe for a two day symposium in order to discuss how to prepare the world for extraterrestrial contact, whether it be microbial organisms or intelligent beings.
“We’re looking at all scenarios about finding life. If you find microbes, that’s one thing. If you find intelligence, it’s another. And if they communicate, it’s something else, and depending on what they say, it’s something else! The idea is not to wait until we make a discovery, but to try and prepare the public for what the implications might be when such a discovery is made. I think the reason that NASA is backing this is because of all the recent activity in the discovery of exoplanets and the advances in astrobiology in general. People just consider it much more likely now that we’re going to find something — probably microbes first and maybe intelligence later. One of the theologians present was Brother Guy Consolmagno, who is the new president of the Vatican Observatory Foundation. This is what he had to say:
“I Believe [alien life exists], but I have no evidence. I would be really excited and it would make my understanding of my religion deeper and richer in ways that I can’t even predict yet, which is why it would be so exciting.” (source)
He is urging the public not to be so surprised when extraterrestrial life is discovered, because it will be discovered. He even said that he would be happy to baptize them, if it’s intelligent extraterrestrial life that’s discovered. The Vatican has been very open to the idea of intelligent extraterrestrial life, and they’ve expressed these views for a very long time.
Earth is not the center of the universe, it’s not flat, and it’s looking very likely that the next major paradigm shifting revelation will be the fact that we are not alone in the universe.
It’s great to see the mainstream world gather, discuss and prepare for this possibility and ultimate reality, and it’s a great seg-way to create more awareness about the world of secrecy, the worlds within our world that deal with projects the human race knows nothing about.
The Other Probability – Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life Is Already Here
All of the information I’ve provided below is probably old information for CE fans that regularly visit our site. This information is from a previous article I wrote earlier in the year, I thought it would be fitting to cut and paste it here for our new readers. In the United States alone, at least half of all Americans say that we’re not alone in the universe. Fifty percent of Americans already believe that there is some form of life on other planets, while only seventeen percent think that there isn’t. A quarter of Americans believe that intelligent extraterrestrial visitors have already come to Earth and have been doing so for a long time. (source)

There are multiple reasons why the extraterrestrial question continues to gain popularity. People are starting to ask questions about the world around them, utilizing critical thinking and investigation. After thoroughly investigating this topic your conclusions will be similar to the conclusions of the majority, we are not alone, and we are being visited.
1. The Size of the Universe
How often do you look up into the night sky and wonder just how many stars, planets, galaxies and more are out there? Space has been a high area of interest that has always fascinated scientists, philosophers, musicians and pretty much just about everyone. What is it about deep space that grabs our attention so much? To think about just how big the universe is can really put things into perspective.
Counting the stars in the universe is like trying to count the number of sand grains on a beach , not possible. Although estimates vary among different experts, the general consensus is that there are at least between 100 billion and 200 billion galaxies in our universe. Think about that for a moment, and now throw in billions of stars in each galaxy! (source) This number could very easily be in the trillions for all we know.
Take the Milky Way Galaxy for example, which measures to about 120,000 light years across (it would take light that many years to travel across the galaxy), and contains up to 400 billion stars. Again, that’s billions of galaxies that contain billions of stars. (source)
Scientists estimate that at least 10 billion habitable Earth-sized planets exist in the milky way alone ( one galaxy out of billions), but it’s important to keep an open mind as to what type of conditions and environments some unknown extraterrestrial like forms could thrive in. They all don’t necessarily have to be Earth-like.
Given our estimation of the size of the universe, or multiverse (whatever you want to call it), odds are we are not alone.
2. Whistle Blowers
The past few years have seen a surge of whistle-blowers that’ve come out and said some remarkable things. Bradley Manning, Edward Snowden and Julian Assange have received the most attention, but the reality is that there are hundreds of whistle blowers who have come forward with verified credentials and backgrounds. Mass survelience and the security state is not the only thing shocking people around the world, it’s the fact that many of these whistle blowers claim that we are not alone in the universe. It wouldn’t be so hard to ignore if it wasn’t for the backgrounds these people have in their respected fields.
The first one that comes to mind is Paul Hellyer, Former Canadian Defence Minister, the man responsible for unifying the Canadian Air Force, Army and the Navy into one united force now known as the Canadian Forces. For someone with such a background to come out and make these extraordinary claims definitely grabbed the attention of many people.
“Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about the direction we were heading and offered to help. Instead, some of us interpreted their visits as a threat, and decided to shoot first and ask questions after. Trillions of dollars have been spent on black projects which both congress and the commander in chief have deliberately been kept in the dark.” (source)
”In one of the cases during the cold war, 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying South from Russia across Europe. The supreme allied commander was very concerned and was about ready to press the panic button when they turned around and went back over the North Pole. They decided to do an investigation and they investigated for three years and they decided that with absolute certainty that four different species, at least, have been visiting this planet for thousands of years. Paul Hellyer isn’t the only one making extraordinary statements, at least a dozen NASA astronauts have done the same. Just like Dr. Edgar Mitchell’s quote, other astronauts have said some remarkable things. Let’s take a look at a few (out of many) examples.
“There is abundant evidence that we are being contacted, that civilizations have been monitoring us for a very long time. That their appearance is bizarre from any type of traditional materialistic western point of view. “In my opinion I think they were worried that it would panic the public so they started telling lies about it. The list of quotes from all fields, from many people is outstanding. I could literally fill pages upon pages so I’ll stop here, I think you get the picture. These quotes by whistleblowers and people with prestigious backgrounds leads perfectly into the next point as to why almost everybody knows that we are not alone in the universe.

3. The Evidence of UFOs
Within the past few years, dozens of governments admitted to allocating resources and having programs to study the UFO phenomenon. For instance, in Canada the RCMP, Transport Canada, and the Department of National Defence recently admitted to tracking UFOs and investigating them. (source) They’ve been doing it for years, accumulating thousands upon thousands of UFO related documents. Many of these documents have since been officially released.
HERE is the latest batch of UFO files released from the United Kingdom.
Documents released by the National Security Agency (NSA) reveal what is recorded when a UFO is being tracked on radar. HERE is one example. HERE is a four page U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency and NSA report describing a particular encounter in great detail.
“As the F-4 approached a range of 25 nautical miles it lost all instrumentation and communications. When the F-4 turned away from the object and apparently was no longer a threat to it, the aircraft regained all instrumentation and communications. Another brightly lighted object came out of the original object. The second object headed straight toward the F4. ”

4. Mass Mainstream Media Attention
Media outlets of all kind are covering the topic, almost every movie that comes out these days has something to do with space or some kind of extraterrestrial intelligence. We’ve been bombarded with the topic for a while now so it’s not hard to see how it’s on the minds of many.
The most recent case of mainstream extraterrestrial ‘noise’ was made when scientists recently spoke to the house Committee on Science, Space and Technology. Dan Werthimer of the SETI Research Centre at the University of California, Berkeley, recently called for more funding to be allocated to the search for extraterrestrial life since he is “close to 100 percent” certain that we are not alone. In mid 2013, the same committee held a hearing about exoplanet discoveries, but perhaps one of the largest UFO/extraterrestrial hearings came at the National Press Club, which also took place in Mid-2013. At this event, hundreds of researchers, activists and military/agency/political witnesses representing ten countries gave UFO/extraterrestrial testimony to six former members of the United States Congress about events and evidence indicating an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.
Former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska), and 2008 presidential candidate said that there is“an extraterrestrial influence that is investigating our planet. Something is monitoring the planet and they are monitoring it very cautiously.” You can learn more about the citizens hearing here.
Apart from these events, UFOs are constantly a topic of interest in today’s mainstream news. Unfortunately, most mainstream media outlets that cover the topic seek out to ridicule it rather than investigating it properly.

There are millions of people out there claiming to have contact with extraterrestrial beings. This has played a large role in spreading the influence of extraterrestrial interest across the world. All of us seem to be naturally fascinated with the unknown, especially when it comes to space. It seems like human nature.
Neuroscience can now explain what happens to our body when we meditate, but it’s something we all knew to be beneficial before the science. Is extraterrestrial life similar? Is it something we all feel deep down inside, something we don’t need proof for? (Even though the proof is there).

Final Thoughts
A few years ago the question was “Do UFOs exist?” Today that question has been answered, and the presence of UFOs performing maneuvers that defy our laws of physics has been well documented. The question has more so shifted to, “Is that an extraterrestrial space craft?”
It’s nothing to fear, in my opinion they’ve been around forever. They have been aware of us long before we have been aware of them. As speculated with our ancient civilizations in Earth’s brief past, perhaps they will one day interact with humanity again. I guess we will see.
Perhaps some groups are concerned about our planet, and come here further pushing the idea that we need to start changing the way we are doing things here. Perhaps one day soon we will find out.
I definitely believe that a good chunk of these UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin. I also believe that many of these crafts are “ours.”

Tales from a Martian rock: New chemical analysis of ancient Martian meteorite provides clues to planet’s history of habitability
A new analysis of a Martian rock that meteorite hunters plucked from an Antarctic ice field 30 years ago this month reveals a record of the planet’s climate billions of years ago, back when water likely washed across its surface and any life that ever formed there might have emerged.
Scientists from the University of California, San Diego, NASA and the Smithsonian Institution report detailed measurements of minerals within the meteorite in the early online edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences this week.
“Minerals within the meteorite hold a snapshot of the planet’s ancient chemistry, of interactions between water and atmosphere,” said Robina Shaheen, a project scientist at UC San Diego and the lead author of the report.
The unlovely stone, which fell to Earth 13 thousand years ago, looked a lot like a potato and has quite a history. Designated ALH84001, it is the oldest meteorite we have from Mars, a chunk of solidified magma from a volcano that erupted four billion years ago. Since then something liquid, probably water, seeped through pores in the rock and deposited globules of carbonates and other minerals.
The carbonates vary subtly depending on the sources of their carbon and oxygen atoms. Both carbon and oxygen occur in heavier and lighter versions, or isotopes. The relative abundances of isotopes forms a chemical signature that careful analysis and sensitive measurements can uncover.
Mars’s atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide but contains some ozone. The balance of oxygen isotopes within ozone are strikingly weird with enrichment of heavy isotopes through a physical chemical phenomenon first described by co-author Mark Thiemens, a professor of chemistry at UC San Diego, and colleagues 25 years ago.
“When ozone reacts with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it transfers its isotopic weirdness to the new molecule,” said Shaheen, who investigated this process of oxygen isotope exchange as a graduate student at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. When carbon dioxide reacts with water to make carbonates, the isotopic signature continues to be preserved.
The degree of isotopic weirdness in the carbonates reflects how much water and ozone was present when they formed. It’s a record of climate 3.9 billion years ago, locked in a stable mineral. The more water, the smaller the weird ozone signal.
This team measured a pronounced ozone signal in the carbonates within the meteorite, suggesting that although Mars had water back then, vast oceans were unlikely. Instead, the early Martian landscape probably held smaller seas.
“What’s also new is our simultaneous measurements of carbon isotopes on the same samples. The mix of carbon isotopes suggest that the different minerals within the meteorite had separate origins,” Shaheen said. “They tell us the story of the chemical and isotopic compositions of the atmospheric carbon dioxide.”
ALH84001 held tiny tubes of carbonate that some scientists saw as potential evidence of microbial life, though a biological origin for the structures has been discarded. On December 16, NASA announced another potential whiff of Martian life in the form of methane sniffed by the rover Curiosity.
Carbonates can be deposited by living things that scavenge the minerals to build their skeletons, but that is not the case for the minerals measured by this team. “The carbonate we see is not from living things,” Shaheen said. “It has anomalous oxygen isotopes that tell us this carbonate is abiotic.”
By measuring the isotopes in multiple ways, the chemists found carbonates depleted in carbon-13 and enriched in oxygen-18. That is, Mars’s atmosphere in this era, a period of great bombardment, had much less carbon-13 than it does today.
The change in relative abundances of carbon and oxygen isotopes may have occurred through extensive loss of Martian atmosphere. A thicker atmosphere would likely have been required for liquid water to flow on the planet’s chilly surface.
“We now have a much deeper and specific insight into the earliest oxygen-water system in the solar system,” Thiemens said. “The question that remains is when did planets, Earth and Mars, get water, and in the case of Mars, where did it go? We’ve made great progress, but still deep mysteries remain.”

Predictions for 2015. Over 2000 UFO reports were recorded during the summer months in 2014. A greater number of reports and more brazen UFO activity will occur in the coming year. The news media and the US Congress will become more aware of the phenomenon. The Islamic State will grow stronger until the news media starts revealing the true facts concerning their activities. Air Material Command Opinion Concerning “Flying Discs”
TO: Commanding General Army Air Forces, Washington 25, D.C.
ATTENTION: Brig. General George Schulgen AC/AS-2
As requested by AC/AS-2 there is presented below the considered opinion of this command concerning the so-called “Flying Discs.” This opinion is based on interrogation report data furnished by AC/AS-2 and preliminary studied by personnel of T-2 and Aircraft Laboratory, Engineering Division T-3. This opinion was arrived at in a conference between personnel from the Air Institute of Technology, Intelligence T-2, Office, Chief of Engineering Division, and the Aircraft, Power Plant and Propeller Laboratories of Engineering Division T-3.
It is the opinion that:
The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious.
There are objects probably approximately the shape of a disc, of such appreciable size as to appear to be as large as man-made aircraft.
There is the possibility that some of the incidents may be caused by natural phenomena, such as meteors.
The reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of
climb, maneuverability (particularly in roll), and action which
must be considered evasive when sighted or contacted by friendly
aircraft and radar, lend belief to the possibility that some of
the objects are controlled either manually, automatically or remotely.
The apparent common description of the objects is as follows:
(1) Metallic or light reflecting surface.
(2) Absence of trail, except in a few instances when the object apparently was operating under high performance conditions.
(3) Circular or elliptical in shape, flat on bottom and domed on top.
(4) Several reports of well kept formation flights varying from three to nine objects.
(5) Normally no associated sound, except in three instances a substantial rumbling roar was noted.
(6) Level flight speeds normally about 300 knots are estimated.
If there is a UFO reality, then why has no one blown the whistle? Informants in the U.K. have been talking about UFO’s and Flying Triangles because they see them every day. I have been a faithful subscriber to UFO rags from the U.K. for a long time. These magazines try to use a more down to earth approach as to which UFO’s are extra terrestrial and which aren’t. In the British UFO Magazines there is no question as to whether or not UFO’s exist. In order to understand what I am trying to tell you, you need to understand why Ufology in the UK is commonplace, you need to realize Britain’s UFO history. Britain has always been the center of “paranormal” anomalies with strange structures, ghosts, and intricate crop circles. You would think there would be unlimited investigations with all of these strange anomalies occurring. There are your amateurs and then there are some that are appointed.
One man in particular is Nick Pope, who joined the British Ministry in 1985 and was involved in policy making during the Gulf War, and the Bosnian-Serb conflict. Pope was then moved in the summer of 1991. He was appointed to a new post at Whitehall Secretariat Air Staff, Department 2A. I guess you could call it the equivalent of the “X-files.” As with any classic “I don’t belong here” story Pope did not believe in the UFO hysteria, and was very skeptical about the Paranormal. After dealing with the reports from the “UFO” desk Pope was slowly changing his mind on the issue. After 3 years at the “UFO” desk Pope declared that UFO’s were a reality. He concluded that there was plenty of evidence to prove their existence. Pope was officially supposed to investigate whether or not these strange aircraft posed a threat to the UK’s defense. Unofficially He was expected to dismiss their existence. Pope decided it was up to him to tell the truth about UFO’s. Pope claims that his peers and the department labeled him a loose cannon and found him to be very suspicious.
They lost trust in him. But Pope stood by his story, analyzing all the data, and claiming that it all added it up to a case for the existence of UFOs. A lot of the M.O.D. workers began humming the Twilight Zone theme whenever he would walk into the room, and after the X-files made it to the UK they called him “Spooky.” After all of the ridicule, and after claiming that he felt UFOs posed a major threat to our defense systems, Pope was moved in 1994 from the M.O.D. to the financial department. The thing that is most frustrating is despite Pope’s entire candor; he is still bound by Britain’s official secrecy act. So is what Pope saying fact or fiction? Apparently it’s fact; UFO’s are being seen in Britain. Some say it can be explained, but Pope says that a technological threat of non-human origin exists. Some say it is Science fiction, Pope continues to investigate such claims, even though it really isn’t his job any more.
Since 1990 there have been over 4000 sightings of what is known as the “Flying Triangle” or “Silent Vulcan” Over Britain. In the early 90’s there were a similar number over Belgium, France, Holland and Germany, with fighters being sent up to intercept this unknown craft? With people seeing aircraft “as big as a football field and hovering silently” to “hovering craft that shoot off silently.” Another claim was the sighting of “a huge black triangle rising out of the water” it is one of Europe’s most enduring waves of sightings. Nick Pope wrote a book about many of these sightings including one over several Army bases in one night.
One of the more controversial cases is the Bentwaters -Woodbridge UFO case. The Bentwaters-Woodbridge bases are leased to the United States Air Force under NATO terms. The case is one of the creepiest ones I have ever heard. There were at least 30 witnesses who came forward to tell the story of what happened to USAF personnel and British Military in the Rendlesham Forest between the two bases, in December of 1980. The incident began when two USAF security personnel spotted unusual lights hovering over Rendlesham forest. The security staff was worried that a small plane was crashing in the heavily wooded area. According to Sergeant Larry Warren, who was stationed at Bentwaters, It looked like the plane hit and a fire was smoldering in the forest. A group of men set out to find the strange red glowing area. What the men came a upon was a triangular UFO. Airmen Steve Roberts and James Archer said that the UFO had a red light on top of it and blue and white lights at the middle and bottom. Archer then claimed he saw occupants inside the strange craft. He claimed that they did not appear human. There were also reports of Jeeps and several High-powered “Light all’s” abruptly died. Sgts. Larry Warren and Adrian Bustinza said that the energy just drained out. Animals were going crazy, and the men mentioned a yellow mist in the air. There was another strange anomaly in the area away from the clearing. It was transparent, elliptical like a see through aspirin tablet. It then filled with a bright pulsating mist and it emitted a rainbow of colored lights. There was film shot of the incident. And audio tapes made. However it was later confiscated and flown to Ramstein Air Force Base in West Germany.

A Crazy Conspiracy Theory on Oil

Saudi Arabia is gunning for the U.S. oil shale industry and the Soviet oil industry. Its commitment to continue to pump oil and force prices lower is one of the most brazen we’ve seen since the embargo that won OPEC its dominance. This is price fixing in the opposite direction: Push prices so low that US shale oil companies and other nation’s oil production are no longer profitable. Some experts think that level is around $42 per barrel for shale oil, but many countries costs are much higher. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in February CLG5, -2.22% fell to $55.84 a barrel while inventories rose 7.3 million barrels from the previous week to 387.2 million barrels signaling even lower prices. The American Petroleum Institute data showed a 5.4-million-barrel gain in U.S. crude stockpiles for the week ended December 19. Rising U.S. oil production due to the shale boom has been largely responsible for the glut in oil markets. Meanwhile, Nymex reformulated gasoline blendstock for January fell to settle at $1.51 a gallon.
What if the U.S. is sacrificing its own oil industry in order to sabotage Russia’s economy and its ability to wage war? The ruble tumbled to a record low for a second day; prompting speculation Russia’s central bank intervened to slow the rout as weaker oil prices worsen the outlook for an economy verging on recession…
The Russian economy relies heavily on its oil and gas industry that is the economy’s engine, and without them, Russia flounders. After flexing its muscles in Crimea and conducting provocative fly-overs across Europe, Russia was looking as if it wanted to regain its status as a world superpower. It’s possible that the US and Saudi Arabia who are allies against the Islamic State have joined to reduce oil prices to curtail Russia’s dreams of regaining the Ukraine. A weak Russian economy means a weak Vladimir Putin.
Saudi Arabia was going to fight to keep its market share and low prices keep competitors from taking over. Russia, Iran, Venezuela, economies are hurt the most. Saudi Arabia’s market share could be the lynch pin to averting the next world war. How’s that for a conspiracy theory?

How Western Media Enables Islamic Terrorism

The level of the media groveling after the tragic and deadly saga in Sydney, Australia or the beheadings of Christian children has been astounding. At the time of writing, the lead story on the BBC website is of course about that very tragedy, in which an Islamist fanatic took a random group hostage in a cafe, ultimately killing two of them. He did this in the name of Islam. But you wouldn’t get that impression if you started to read the BBC’s lead story, which astoundingly managed to avoid mentioning the words Islam, Islamic, Islamist, Muslim, or any derivations thereof for a full 16 paragraphs. The New York Times, which led by calling the terrorist, Man Haron Monis an “armed man”, waited until paragraph 11.
In the Guardian’s main story – whose lead paragraph simply referred to a “gunman” — you had to wait until paragraph 24.If you’d have blinked, you’d have missed it. In the wider media, reports about Muslim fears of a “backlash” have been all but ubiquitous. If these are the lengths that Western mainstream media go to dissemble about the Islamic-inspired slaughter of Western peoples, it should now be clear why the ubiquitous Muslim persecution of those unfashionable Christian minorities is also practically unknown by those who follow Western mainstream media.
Television seldom mentions Jihad, but carries propaganda stories of white police officers killing blacks, never mentioning 93 percent of blacks are killed by other blacks. TV showed photographs of younger and innocent looking young men killed who were now very threatening in appearance. They constantly blamed the police for killing unarmed men but seldom mentioning why juries that included blacks had exonerated the policemen. I was shown this image on the control monitor of one of our ships, an orange sphere ship-Cygnus X-1, class, commonly sighted around earth. I had 3 of my crew members standing behind me. As I looked at the image, Ysoron said “Susaron, you are to post this on the most visited social media. There is another person on Earth from our group that will recognize it and contact you. Then two of you from our group will be in contact with each other. She will recognize it as she was given the same image and told to draw it.” When I asked ‘What is this, the earth turning into a sun?’ They said, “It doesn’t have to go that way. As we are master energy creator beings, we have options based on Earths’ condition once it reaches phase 3 of 4 of the 5thD’.
