Attraction offers Zombie Santa and undead elves for charity

A Nashville-area haunted house is getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend, with Zombie Santa, his undead elves and one demonic reindeer going on the attack for fun and charity.

"Instead of Christmas cheer, we are spreading some holiday fear," said Carroll Moore, who is turning his Halloween season "Death Yard Haunted Attraction" in Hendersonville into a Yuletide horror show this Friday and Saturday.

For $10 and an unwrapped new toy, visitors can pass through the 13,000-square-foot warehouse northeast of Nashville crammed with horrors. For $5 more, they can go to the paintball range just outside and take 15 shots at Zombie Santa and his friends.

"You can unload on the undead," Moore said. "Maybe Santa Claus wasn't good to you last year."

The unwrapped new toys will go to Last Minute Toy Store, which operates out of a Nashville church and gives parents who cannot afford toys a chance to look for things their children might want, for no cost.

Moore said he hopes his Zombie Christmas attraction will become just as much a holiday tradition as driving around to look at lights or going to see the Rockettes.

Moore is also offering chainsaw-wielding maniacs and killer clowns, dressed for the holidays.

Nita Haywood, who helps run the Last Minute Toy Store at the 61st Avenue United Methodist Church, where she is director of children, youth and family ministries, said she will visit Horrific Haunted Holiday.

"It's different, but new toys are new toys. And what a way to get teens involved," she said. - Yahoo

"Black Widow" Suspected of Killing at Least a Half-Dozen Men

A Japanese woman facing trial for poisoning her husband with cyanide may have also murdered as many as six former boyfriends, authorities say.

Police initially thought Chisako Kakehi's husband, Isao, died of a heart attack—until they discovered traces of cyanide in his blood. Investigators say at least six of Kakehi's romantic interests—all older, well-situated men—met similar ends.

Reports also suggest money was a factor, and Kakehi is rumored to have collected as much as $8 million from her dead paramours. Via the New York Times:

All were at least moderately wealthy, with homes and ample savings accounts accumulated over a lifetime of work in order to enjoy a comfortable retirement. Most died soon after drawing up wills that named her as the sole beneficiary.
Police also say they found a sachet of cyanide hidden in a flowerpot Kakehi tried to throw away.

Copperopolis, CA - 12/9/2014: While taking a photo of the sunrise this morning, I noticed a shiny disk in my picture. I waited a few minutes and took another shot. The disc was still there. I then enlarged the photo by zooming it and noticed a bright green round sphere with white dots on it. I even took another picture of the sky and the disc was still there. I waited a few minutes and took another picture and the sky had become covered in clouds so the disk was no longer visible. I immediately contacted MUFON. Batemans Bay yowie sighting an Australian first

We uncover a little known piece of Australian history and in doing so rekindle a long running argument between an amateur and professional scientist.

Batemans Bay holds a significant place in Australian yowie history.

This will be new information for many locals, but a dig through the archives unearths a rich history around this mythical Bigfoot-type creature and the South East of New South Wales.

Aboriginal communities are said to have known about and named the yowie prior to Cook and Phillip dropping anchor. It is believed that white man contact with the yowie was first documented in a formal sense on December 9 1882 in The Australian Town and Country Journal.

Amateur naturalist Henry James McCooey wrote of his encounter with a strange creature in bushland between Batemans Bay and Ulladulla.

His words from 132 years ago conjure a jaw-dropping image.

He writes:

"A few days ago I saw one of these strange animals in an unfrequented locality on the coast between Bateman's Bay and Ulladulla. My attention was attracted to it by the cries of a number of small birds which were pursuing and darting at it. When I first beheld the animal it was standing on its hind legs, partly upright, looking up at the birds above it in the bushes, blinking its eyes and distorting its visage and making a low chattering kind of noise. Being above the animal on a slight elevation and distant from it less than a chain, I had ample opportunity of noting its size and general appearance.

"I should think that if it were standing perfectly upright it would be nearly 5ft high. It was tailless and covered with very long black hair, which was of a dirty red or snuff-colour about the throat and breast. Its eyes, which were small and restless, were partly hidden by matted hair that covered its head. The length of the fore legs or arms seemed to be strikingly out of proportion with the rest of its body, but in all other respects its build seemed to be fairly proportional. It would probably weigh about 8st. On the whole it was a most uncouth and repulsive looking creature, evidently possessed of prodigious strength, and one which I should not care to come to close quarters with. Having sufficiently satisfied my curiosity, I throw a stone at the animal, whereupon it immediately rushed off, followed by the birds, and disappeared in a ravine which was close at hand."
What a sight!

Myf Thompson, volunteer curator at the Old Court House Museum in Batemans Bay, says it's a piece of the town's history that is news to her and isn't widely known.

Upon learning of this local yowie link, Myf tossed her plans for the day out the window and researched further. The National Libraries bank of digitized newspapers along with Wikipedia and various yowie websites combined to add to the story.

Myf uncovered a stand-off between McCooey and the curator of the Australian Museum in Sydney at the time, Edward Pierson Ramsay.

Records suggest that Mr Ramsay questioned the existence of such a creature which in those days of the colony was also described as an 'Australian ape'.

Looking at those early documents, Myf believes that McCooey and his claims were poo-pooed by academics like Ramsay because he was an amateur.

We only have one side of the back and forth between the two but clearly it's a passionate debate.

Again in The Australian Town and Country Journal, McCooey writes:

"The mere fact of no apes [are] found in the Sydney Museum does not justify us in rushing to the conclusion that there are none in the colony, for it is extremely improbable that any ape will be foolhardy enough to present itself at the museum to undergo the somewhat delicate operation of stuffing; and beyond the fact that there are, none to be found in the Sydney Museum there is not one scintilla of evidence to prove that they are not to be found in the colony, while there is abundance of evidence to show that they are."

Imagine Ramsay's reaction at reading that.

McCooey goes on trying to prove his case:

"I do not claim to be the first who has seen this animal, for I can put my finger on half a dozen men at Bateman's Bay who have seen the same, or at any rate an animal of a similar description; but I think I am the first to come forward in the columns of a newspaper and give publicity to the fact of having seen it.

"I may mention that a search party was organised at Bateman's Bay some months ago to surround the locality [and] the supposed ape... and shoot or capture it, but the idea was abandoned in consequence of the likelihood of gun accidents; and I may further state that the skeleton of an ape, 4ft in length, may be seen at any time in a cave 14 miles from Bateman's Bay, in the direction of Ulladulla."
It appears that in December of 1882, Ramsay offered McCooey 100 pounds to bring in his yowie dead or alive. McCooey believed it was a challenge he could meet but, as far as we can tell, the 100 pounds wasn't claimed.

Eleven months later on October 20 1883 the discourse is still bubbling between the two men.

McCooey, writing from Mandurama between Bathurst and Cowra on October 15 1883, says:

"...the position taken by the Curator of the Museum is absolutely untenable... there are indigenous apes in this colony...they have been frequently seen in Budawong mountains, in Jingera mountains, and in the Abercrombie mountains, at Bateman's Bay, at Mount Macdonald, and on the Guy Fawkes-road between Armidale and Grafton...apes were known to the aborigines of this colony, and were dreaded by them, long before a museum was founded in Australia, or a white man crossed the Murray; and that one was actually captured and killed near Braidwood within the memory of persons still living."

Referring to her understanding of the research, Myf Thompson feels Ramsay questioned McCooey's motivations, suggesting he was more interested in claiming the money, and that it was the amateur naturalist who suggested the cash reward not him. Ramsay's impression is perhaps built on talk at the time of McCooey's criminal record which points to claims of fraud.

Ramsay also seemed to suggest that the Australian landscape couldn't sustain a creature such as McCooey's.

Speculation continues to this day about the existence of a yowie in local bush land.

Callers to ABC South East point to sightings and gossip between 1960 and the early 80s around the Budawangs and at the top of Clyde Mountain at the head of the Clyde River, adding to McCooey's case. However, like Ramsay 130 years ago, we wait for firm evidence.

What isn't in doubt is Batemans Bay's connection with this unique Australian story, perhaps rediscovering it in 2014 will bring more talk.

Canada's sasquatch experts search for truth

The sasquatch scientific community is not a large group but two Canadian researchers stand tall in their midst.

Thomas Steenburg and John Green are among the elite of researchers with a large body of work, both published and Internet-based.

“I’ve been involved in sasquatch research since 1957,” said the retired 87-year-old Green who lives in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. and is regarded as a cryptozoology authority. “In fact, I started hunting sasquatch when the village of Harrison Hot Springs decided to hunt for the sasquatch. I did a story on it, and it started what has turned into a lifelong quest. My wife and I went down to Bluff Creek, California in 1958 and began making plaster casts of prints found near a logging road.”

He said efforts were later made to discredit the footprints claiming them to be man-made and faked, a notion that has followed nearly every footprint discovery since then.

“While I have not seen a sasquatch myself, I have investigated hundreds of sightings. I have seen the Patterson-Gimlin film, and I believe that they are real,” said Green during a telephone interview. “After all, why would anyone want to fake anything like that?”
The octogenarian author noted he was in the area of California where the famed film was taken a few weeks prior, and was taken to a site where nearly 500 footprints were found by a contractor, made by possibly three individual Bigfoot walking along a road. By the time he arrived, all he could find was a handful, but he took casts of them.

“The issue of whether or not sasquatch is real depends on a couple of issues, those being how did it come across to North America, and how can we link it to any physical evidence.”

The researcher believes the creature to be an entirely different species than humanoids, and an advanced primate, adding that DNA evidence may already be in our possession but we don’t recognize it. There have been discoveries of a huge Asian ape made that might possibly be our sasquatch dating back only 10,000 years ago.

“Scientists seem to automatically tag a bipedal discovery as ‘human’, where they may really be part of the sasquatch story,” said Green. “We also have to wonder why we have not found any recent skeletons, but due to the likely small number and habitats it would have to be a miracle to find one.”

He added that it is virtually impossible for someone to fake footprints worldwide for so long without some evidence of their efforts. The work to create the mystery would not be worth the effort.

"In this field things are upside down and backwards," said Green. "The people who investigate are called 'believers' and the people who believe there can't be any such thing and therefore don't investigate are called scientists. Researchers fall in the middle, and say show me the evidence.” - Innisfail Province

A family member of mine knew I am in this field of research and caught some strange lights that he could not explain with his cell phone. He is ex-military and I would consider him a sound individual with good discernment. The anomalies in the video were recorded December 2nd in the evening approximately at 18:00 in Vancouver, WA near the Westfield Shopping Center. There were 4 lights that went from dim to super bright lights just hanging in the sky for 10 minutes or so and then just kind of flew off. He did not record the whole observation, rather just 2 and a half minutes of the occurrence. He thought that one of the lights could have been an airplane, but the path it took was kind of odd for an airplane not to mentions they seemed way to close together. The lights/objects were East of where he was standing. They didn’t appear to be too far away, if he had to guess he would say about 5-10 miles out. They were way too low to the ground to be any type of commercial airliner in his opinion. They all seem to be hovering until the top one (shown in the video) started moving to the North/Northwest.

Joshua, Texas - 10/24/2012 - Not sure of the exact date, but it was getting cold in the weather. And it was in 2012 during the big shooting stars show close to winter. Those clues could narrow the date down to one who knows how to search for such. I was watching for the shooting stars when above me I saw a strange dark basketball sized cloud hovering and flying in an arc like path. I called my wife and two kids out to see it. Over the course of 3-4 hours we saw multiple ufos larger in size some were triangle shaped a few looked like a giant eagle. They glided overhead at different speeds. Then when we thought it was all over, just over a nearby tree top a giant light blue almost transparent stingray shape was just hovering there with pulsing white blue lights. It had to be over 500 ft long. Then it was just gone. After that searchlights like a light house in the distance was circling. Off in the western horizon. When the ufos would glide by we lost sight of them easily because they blended in with the night sky so well. My step daughter was scared at the time but the rest of us were exited at what we were seeing. This all happened over a year ago so I'm sure I've forgotten some of it. Then a little over a month ago me and my son were just looking up and we happened to see two really fast dark clouds fly by. They were actually pyramidish shape and also made no noise. He’s referring to “The Cage,” written by show creator Gene Roddenberry and directed by Robert Butler, which was presented to — and rejected by — NBC more than a year before the series finally debuted in 1966. Despite being turned down by the network, and featuring a cast almost entirely different from the show fans would come to love later, “The Cage” actually made it to air as part of the first season of Star Trek, with scenes edited into a two-part story titled “The Menagerie” that aired Nov. 17 and 24, 1966.

Although “The Cage” was rejected on grounds of being “too slow” and “too intellectual [with] not enough action,” NBC wasn’t ready to say no to the series just yet, asking Roddenberry to rework the concept and create a second pilot. Did Moses really part the Red Sea?

A new study has indicated that there is a scientific basis for the parting of a large body of water.

The miraculous parting of the Red Sea that enabled the Israelites to escape from Egypt is one of the best known biblical stories, a tale that has even made its way on to the silver screen both in the Charlton Heston classic The Ten Commandments and more recently in Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings.

But did these events actually occur - did Moses really part the waters of the Red Sea ? As it turns out there is a scientific basis to support the idea that something like this could happen.

In a recent study, software engineer Carl Drews created a computer model to demonstrate that a phenomenon known as "wind setdown" might be the key to explaining what happened.

Under certain conditions it is possible for strong winds to produce a significant enough storm surge in one area of a lake for another part to be completely emptied of water. This peculiar occurance has actually happened quite recently both in Lake Erie and in the Nile Delta.

Drews maintains that, based on archaeological evidence, the events described in the story actually took place at the Lake of Tanis in the Eastern Nile Delta, not the Red Sea as is commonly told.

Using the model he was able to show that the conditions at the time were favorable and that the lake could have parted in this way at the time Moses and the Israelites were escaping Egypt. Read more at Smithsonian Magazine

Vreemde blauwe UFO boven Amsterdam ( Video )

Het nieuwe jaar is goed begonnen en zeker voor een aantal bouwvakkers die een panoramafilmpje van Amsterdam wilden maken.

Het werd inderdaad een mooi panorama, met plots iets in beeld dat daar eigenlijk niet hoort.

Wij ontvingen het volgende bericht van een lezer (dank!):

Mijn vriend en zijn collega hadden een klus in Amsterdam (steigerbouw) en de collega wou voor de leuk een panorama maken van de omgeving met zijn mobiel. Na terugkijken komt er iets uit het stoom vliegen, een bol.

En inderdaad, wanneer je de opname bekijkt dan zie je op een gegeven moment een soort blauwe orb die als het ware langs de huizen vliegt.

Op de volgende foto zie je hem ongeveer in het midden van de foto. 

Wat het ook moge zijn dat hier is vastgelegd, het is een onbekend vliegend voorwerp en daarmee dus een UFO.

A Family In Australia Discovers UFO Near International Space Station

Australia UFO sighting – A husband, who identified himself as Fred, reported an unknown object near the International Space Station. On December 28, 2014, they were looking at the live stream of the space station at around 9:40 PM Sydney Time and when the ISS was approximately over France, they saw the camera moved and focused towards a mysterious object. They were not sure if someone from the ground or the ISS manipulated the angle of the camera. They suspected that somebody moved the camera to take a better look at the unidentified flying object.

Upon seeing the object, the reporting witness said that he, his wife, and daughter were surprised and could not determine what they were seeing. He described the object as having small, blue flashing lights in the middle. His daughter also noticed that the flashing lights turned red as well.

His wife decided to print the object quickly. Fred said that the camera appeared to focus more on the subject matter and then zoomed in, but not close enough as they were hoping. The camera then zoomed into the clouds before the live stream stopped, Fred stated.

Fred said that they stayed for a while and waited for the live stream to reappear. When the live stream finally got back, Fred claimed they heard a voice with Russian accent saying computer rebooted as requested.

He said that the object, they saw, seemed to move at the exact similar speed of the ISS. The camera just started to move and look for it when it appeared on the screen. Fred would like to know if the object, they saw, was a satellite or something unexplainable. He expects that somebody else also saw the mysterious object.

Possible Reasons Why Aliens Visit Earth For Many Decades

While many believe in the existence of extraterrestrials here on Earth, they cannot explain clearly why ETs visit this world. Knowing the primary motive for space alien visits would help humanity to understand the UFO phenomena.

Monitoring the progress and behavior of mankind could be the reason extraterrestrials visit Earth-like what most people have believed. This may be true to some degree, but it could be more likely they are coming to Earth periodically to check planet Earth’s health. The largest number of reports about UFO sightings coincided with the discovery of manipulating nuclear energy during World War II.

United States and Russia share the most number of well-documented cases of unidentified flying objects hovering above military facilities. Many reliable witnesses say that unknown aerial objects were altering with the control systems of the nuclear armament. This particular UFO behavior may not be an accident, but a message to mankind.

Some people speculate that if ever Word War III happens, extraterrestrials will come to help save the planet, but have only little to no time for species that never appreciate how fortunate they are in the first place.

Earth’s forest, oceans, plants, and animals may be worth saving than mankind who destroys the planet. The core mission of these extraterrestrials visiting Earth is to save the breathing, living, self-regulating being.

Unidentified flying objects have long been documented to appear after natural or man-made catastrophic events. There’s little doubt that they are monitoring on the gem we call Earth.

Unexplained Ancient Stone Circles and Walls in America Stump Experts!

For over 100 years, people have been wondering about the ancient stone walls around the Berkeley, California area. 

They stretch over 50 miles, but are too short to be walls of protection. Sometimes, they stretch into inhospitable areas where a wall seems unnecessary. They go through Oakland and on to Mt. Diablo and a strange circle of stones up to 30 feet across.

Spanish settlers said they had already been there when they arrived. Equally unsettling, the local indian tribes say the same thing. No one present now wants to claim them.

 
Some have compared the structure of them to the stone buildings of ancient construction in the NE of the US. Interestingly, both the channel islands and California, as well as the NE had these as well as a giant population. 

Arizona has its own stone circle mystery dating about 1200 AD - in the most inhospitable and impossible to reach place atop the Superstition Mountains. Most people like to attribute all things in the Valley of the Sun to the ancient HoHoKam tribe that went missing, but the mountain has an infamous reputation for weirdness, including a potential portal to the Hollow Earth, UFO attraction, and mysterious missing gold and missing people. 

 Virginia has recently revealed a new find this past year in the southern part of the state on a couple's property.

It dates back to about 10,000 BC. Who built it and why remains a strange mystery. Nearby is a stone circle too. 

Beaver Island, Michigan

 

On Beaver Island in Michigan, there are stone circles including this one above. It has baffled researchers, as the local natives did not build things with stones or perform stone circles. So, who did them? This reminds me of the Wisconsin tribes who said they did not do the mining there long ago, that was the white men from the North Country who were there before the Native People arrived. 

 

 

We continue to try to make anything ancient fit into local tribes, even when they have never shown a propensity to work with stone or mine. Who else could researchers attribute it to? Perhaps an earlier civilization of man! Unfortunately, the same thing happens with all skeletal finds of ancient age. They are handed to local tribes that almost surely have nothing to do with them relation-wise. 

 

Mystery Hill, New Hampshire

 

Scattered around 30 acres, Mystery Hill is just that - a mystery! It appears they are pre-Columbian and yet do not seem to fit the characteristics of the Native People. It dates around 2000 BC. 

 

Conclusion

 

The problem with these sites is that either researchers are lazy and only see the world as post-Columbian and Native People or others come along who think "this is so exceptional, it must be alien!" 

It is obvious that other cultures of man were upon the earth before our "Native" people spread out and took over continents. They met up with extraordinary beings who seemed like gods, who were far advanced and created the very legends and religions we practice today.

CA witness says UFO looked like ‘creature’ from a side view

A California witness at Boyle Heights reported watching a boomerang-shaped UFO that looked like a “creature” when turned on its side as observed beginning about 4:50 p.m. on January 7, 2015, according to testimony in Case 62515 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

“Parked car in front of my home and my younger son was outside of the car and looked up said, ‘What is that?’” the reporting witness stated.

The son then went inside to get his binoculars.

“I looked up from inside the car and saw something dark/black up in the sky to the southwest. My son looked through binoculars and said it looks really weird. I looked through the binoculars and it was solid black – some sort of UFO – an upside down boomerang. Not moving.”

The witnesses’ two daughters also looked through the binoculars and saw it as well.

“My older daughter tried to take a picture with her camera, but it is not a good camera for that height. I got the binoculars again to observe it a while and it slowly turned to its side and it did not like a UFO, but maybe a creature/alien?”

The witness described the object as it looked from the side.

“It had a wispy tail-like and wispy wings, but not wings – slow moving tentacles/arms – very hard to describe, but it is not like anything I’ve ever seen.”

The witness then showed the object to the other children.

“The thin arms/wispy tentacles moved in different forward directions. I just watched it for a while. Two planes did pass not too far from it, so it appeared to be the size of a huge airplane. Then I had to leave. I was late to meet a friend and left at 5:29 p.m. It was still up in the sky when I left.”

No Connection Between Ufos And Chupacabras In Chile

For any reader interested in finding a connection between the slayings of animals attributed to creatures known as “Chupacabras” and the UFO phenomenon, the simplest procedure would consist in scanning the press for both types of stories. If we compare them in volume, we shall see a significant imbalance that would suggest, initially, a lack of connection between both phenomena. Nonetheless, an analysis of the scant journalistic manifestation serves to dispel this preconception even further. Let us examine the source material..

First quarter of April 2000.

 

The problems faced by a camera crew attempting to record a triangle found in the Quebrada de Panipica (4,333 meters above sea level) in Chile’s 2nd region, are made public. It was only on the third attempt that the object was able to be recorded in color, having appeared earlier in black and white. This triangle seemingly has an electromagnetic effect over machinery and equipment.

As days went by, a witness named Wilson Torres, an equipment technician, said that he had found that triangle in the year 1989. It is only possible to see it from a height.

The development and magnification of photographs taken in the interior of Calama, in the Commune of San Pedro de Atacama, made plain the existence of an equilateral triangle measuring 40 meters on its sides, located between the mountains and near the Sairecabur volcano, at an altitude of over four thousand meters.

 

The formation was first noticed by elements of the Anti-Narcotics Brigade of the Calama Police, who took photographs in the interior or the province as part of a study for a proposed landing strip. Upon developing the film and magnifying it, they noticed a curious shape on the terrain in the bottom of a gorge known as Panipica, surrounded by the convergence of the slopes of three mountains.

 

Without giving it further importance, they took advantage of a journey to the interior to reach this location, some 60 kilometers northeast of San Pedro de Atacama, some 4000 feet above sea level.

An equilateral triangle measuring 40 meters on each side startled the police officers, because from the height of one of the mountains, it looked like a huge set square, whose interior had an intense gray, nearly black, color. Once they reached the place, the authorities ascertained that this triangle was surrounded by grass. The interior surface, however, measuring 40 meters per side, is a plain of solid stone, flattened and burned on its upper side, as though subjected to very high temperature.

 

 

They thought it might be a heliport, but considering the prevailing wind direction, this proved impossible, because no known craft could make a landing with such a hindrance. The surface and its periphery do not match the traditional landscape of the north, and it is not a geoglyph, in the estimation of the police officers. Their immediate deduction is that it could have been a place where a meteorite fell, or where a UFO could have landed.”

Flattened Stone Triangles Adorn the Desert

A Visible Landing Occurred in 1994.

Polygon Appears Protected by Electrical Forces

 

In the Province of El Loa (2nd Region) and at an altitude of 4,233 meters above sea level, there exists what have some have considered to be a possible landing site for unidentified flying objects, some two kilometers from another runway that has attracted police attention due to drug trafficking.

 

More than shapes, two triangular structures over a broad expanse of terrain, flattened to a considerable depth, suggest the intense pressure they were exposed to, as if something of considerable weight rested upon them.

 

From these locations it is possible to see the Sairecabur volcano and the Chatxas mountain, snow-crowned, undeniably contributing to the intense cold of the region. The triangles follow the lines of the Panipica Gorge. One of the triangles was discovered by the Anti-Drug Brigade of the Calama Police while the other was found by reporters. The larger triangle measures some 40 meters on each side; it is an equilateral triangle, although seen at a distance, it looks like an isosceles triangle – having two equal sides and one unequal one. The smaller triangle is similar but less visible, as it becomes lost between two mountains.

 

The surface surrounding the triangle is surrounded by the plants known as “leon echado” (sleeping lion) by residents of the interior, due to its aspect when it dries out. It is pure scrub vegetation and is always swept by the wind, despite its hardness. The triangulation is formed precisely because the vegetation disappeared, possibly burned off or due to an extraordinarily powerful wind that left the surroundings with the green plants pointing in the same direction. The sector is covered by four-inch stones, but these have been demolished within the triangle into the “rip-rap” employed in highway paving. They are tamped down in such a way that exceeds the capabilities of known drum rollers employed in paving operations. The flattening is in excess of two meters deep. Some of the four-inch stones resisted the pressure and remained inside the formation, but their coloring is different from the rest. At the point where the three heights of the triangle come together, there grows a plant of such hardness that it cannot be removed by hand or even using a small tool.

 

The [triangular shape] seems to be protected by an electrical force. The automatic systems of the photo camera failed in that place, and was only able to operate from the surrounding areas. The desert has thousands of shapes caused by changes in colors, topography and visible geological features, but these triangles do not correspond to what is readily visible. The ground conditions dismiss the likelihood that the triangles could be the bottom of a lagoon. If this were the case, we would be talking about the Neolithic period and it would have been discovered a long time ago.

 

The locale is suitable to the description given last year to this newspaper by a Calama resident who was allegedly saved from certain death in the heights due to the appearance of two UFOs. He saw two vehicles that employed a highly peculiar communication system by means of shapes traced in the air. He claimed [the craft] emerged from in between the volcanos and after some lengthy communication, they disappeared. The Calama resident walked up a slope. In the distance, he was able to see laborers working with heavy machinery. His descriptions correspond to the topography and geography of that sector. The workingmen could have been from a mining company located to the north. Quarry work can be seen to the South of this location.

 

In days following this experience, the man was found near San Pedro de Atacama and was taken to a first aid station. The experience with the two UFOs took place in 1994.

 

More Recent Events

 

“It was like an electric arc light, lasting for a fraction of a second, lighting up the entire valley of Calama, but it was snuffed before it hit the ground, and could have easily fallen in Argentina or in Chiu-Chiu.”

 

There just so happens to be a straight line running from Calama to the triangle. The straight line runs through Ayquina. This happened on March 19th and the witness was Jorge Elias Zenteno,58, an electronics technician and current night watchman of a graveyard located to the west of Calama on Route 60, 4 kilometers from the city limits. The phenomenon took place at 1:10 hours on St. Joseph’s Day, and coincides with the date that concerns the Institute of Astronomy, whose director, Luis Barrera, reported to NASA in the U.S.A. regarding meteorite falls between 22:00 hours on 18 March and 22:00 hours on 19 March.”

 

Something Fell from the Sky – El Mercurio de Calama – Page A26 – Sunday, May 20, 2000

 

“Two months ago, perhaps more, three green colored meteorites (similar to a flare) crossed the skies of Antofagasta from East to West. They did not travel continuously: the first one entered our atmosphere around 23:00 hours on a Saturday; the second at 01:30 hours in the morning; the third at five o’clock in the morning. These meteorites were seen by over a hundred people. Records of this phenomenon were submitted by Luis Barrera, Director of the Institute of Astronomy of the Universidad Catolica del Norte.

 

No logical explanation for what occurred was ever put forth. The three meteorites allegedly crashed in some point of our cordillera. When they struck the Earth’s surface, no impact or tremor was felt – only a large flash that filled the horizon.

 

Nothing was ever heard again about the meteorites. Two weeks later, a strange “runway” is found in the desert of our region. It is a triangle measuring forty meters on each side; its interior is completely flat and without stones. The presence of a powerful magnetic field was ascertained in this area, capable of causing alterations to wristwatches, photo cameras and video cameras. What is going on here? Is this an extraterrestrial landing strip? Is this where the meteorites fell, which weren’t meteorites at all but alien craft? Many questions can be put forth about the subject without finding an answer. This triangle remains an unsolved mystery. The animal slayings in the provinces of El Loa, Tocopila and Antofagasta commenced shortly after the appearance of this “landing strip” – that is to say, we are talking about three facts that could be related to each other, or not at all. No rational explanation, however, has been found for these three cases. Meanwhile, the Chupacabras keeps attacking and killing animals in other regions of the country.”

 

My Observations on the Subject

 

The discovery of the notorious triangle occurred nearly 11 years prior to the mass killings of animals. This account demolishes journalistic information that endeavors to relate it with the animal deaths in the 2nd Region and other parts of the country, showing that chroniclers and journalists forged a link between these items that has never been proven, employing significant elements.

 

For a while now, I have kept a record of UFO sightings in Chile since the year 1580 on a map. I did something similar with the Chupacabras. This does not mean that one supports the other.

 

Up to now, no eyewitness accounts involving UFO sightings in days prior, during the night or during the morning have come forth regarding animal deaths between January 2000 and October 2002, in any part of the national territory.

 

We are unable to even statistically consider the frequency of UFO sightings and the record of killings, which exceeds 200 cases confirmed by the press.

 

I incorrectly believed at one point that an event in Punta Arenas could bolster a case in the 2nd Region or anywhere else. Over the course of months and days, I’ve come to realize it is quite the contrary. For this reason, these words set forth my working hypothesis regarding the lack of relationship [between UFOs and animal deaths] at least in Chile, until the contrary can be proven. We are still collecting journalistic information and requesting support from experts on the subject. There is still much to be collected, researched and contrasted in this regard.

I Have I Been Abducted by Space Aliens?

Above: the reason why I answered 'yes' to the questions about UFOs giving you scary  dreams. Some of this stuff is creepier than all hell.

I can remember once in high school, screwing around on the internet, finding a list of things that might indicate that you have the reincarnated soul of some sort of space priest. Or something.I remember reading it, and realizing how many of the things applied to me, and thinking how nice it would be to believe that I was a truly special individual. Even then, however, cynicism and skepticism, the hot older sisters of rationality, were with me, and I was instantly struck by the fact that all of those things could apply to anyone.

I don’t remember much about that list beyond the vague introduction I gave above. However, I have managed to find something similar: a list of possible signs that you have been abducted by space aliens. As a tribute to my high-school self, I hope you won’t think it tedious of me to go through the list, point by point, and examine them.

Items from the original list appear in bold yellow, and my running commentary appears below. Other than that, the list has not been edited in any way. All the “signs” are there, and even the ones with grammatical errors have not been changed.       

Possible Signs That You Have Been Abducted

·       Feeling you are Special or Chosen or have an important task to perform
      This is one that I remember verbatim from the list I found in high school. Let me be absolutely clear: thinking you’re special doesn’t  mean that you were at one point abducted by space aliens. It means that you have good self esteem, bordering on a bit of arrogance. This sign definitely applies to me: I think I’m a pretty good guy, and I have a very important task to perform. Thinking you're better than others doesn't make you a space man. It makes you kind of an asshole.

·       Have a memory of having a special place with spiritual significance, when you were a youngster
      It would be a very sad childhood if you couldn’t recall a special place from when you were young. The first things to leap to mind for me are the little plywood clubhouse my friends and I built under our deck, to say nothing of the little log fort we built way out in the woods. There       was also the local creek, where we’d try and catch crawdads. I don’t know if I’d call it spiritual per se, but these were the places where I fell in love with the forest, which is surely a spiritual thing, so...       

· Fear or anxiety over the subject of aliens or UFOs
      I’m not going to lie: UFOs and space aliens scare the hell out of me. So do movies about chainsaw murderers and dinosaurs with lots of teeth that, somehow, can open doors. Anyway, I have no reason to think that Jason is going to come after me with a pack of velociraptors, and I have no reason to believe that UFOs are real. If you don’t get occasionally spooked by the thought of space aliens, thank you for reading this article, Mr.Toughest Man In The World.

·       Sensitivity to issues affecting the Earth, its environment and all life       forms than other people
      Some time in 2000, Al Gore used a red-hot soldiering iron to sear the words GLOBAL WARMING and OZONE HOLES directly onto our brains. Being sensitive to issues affecting the earth doesn’t mean you’ve been abducted by aliens. It means that you’ve seen a movie, read a newspaper, or listened to the radio some time in the last 20 years. While I don’t, you know, grow my own hemp clothing and eat only free-trade rainwater grown rutebegas, I’d still consider myself fairly concerned. Just like the vast majority of the population of the world.

·       Fear of being kidnapped or abnormal constantly monitoring of your surroundings       
      I monitor my surroundings the way that shut-ins monitor the internet: constantly, thoroughly, and without stop. Fear of being kidnapped doesn’t mean you were actually previously kidnapped by space aliens; it means you’ve paid attention to the world around you and realized that there is only slightly less than a 100% chance that you will be kidnapped, shot, stabbed, gassed,or robbed at some point in your life. Just to prove how abnormally I monitor my surroundings, let me say this: I’ve positioned all the furniture in my apartment so that I can see all the windows and the door, no matter where I am sitting, at any given time. Even when I wake up in the morning,       I can remember what was going on when I was asleep: part of my brain stays awake and makes sure there’s no one sneaking up on me.

·       Insomnia or sleep disorders which are puzzling to you
      According to a commercial for a drug that people probably don’t really need, but that the big pharmaceutical companies have a stockpile of and would like to sell, at least two-thirds of the population will experience some sort of sleep disorder during their life. Even the absolutely most paranoid UFO enthusiast will not claim that many people have been abducted.       

Personally, I can’t understand why, no matter what time I set my alarm clock for, I wake up precisely 1 minute earlier, jump out of bed, and run over to turn it off. I also can’t explain why I sleepwalk or why I talk in my sleep. (I only know about these things due to the testimony of a former roommate and an ex-girlfriend who claims I once sat straight up in bed, said “Yummy. Napalm.”  And laid back down.)

·       Must sleep against the wall or must sleep with your bed against a wall
      Not only do I sleep against the wall, I always sleep facing the door to my room. Personally, I think that the cause of this is that I live in West Philadelphia; this means that there’s about a 50/50 chance that I’ll have to fight a burglar some day, and I intend to be prepared for it. If you consider the fact that having your bed against the wall maximizes the space available in a room, you’ve just told every college student in the world that they might have been abducted by space aliens.

·       Paralyzed in bed with a being in your room
      A few times, in my previous apartment, I would wake up suddenly, convinced there was a person in my room. I don’t recall being paralyzed, but  I do remember once thinking that I’d gone blind. Anyway, I’m not really sure why this occurred, but other people have told me it’s a relatively common sleep disorder, usually caused by being worried about the violence and crime levels of the area that you live in, thus preventing you from sleeping properly.

·       Dreams of flying or being outside your body
This one is easy. I used to play a videogame called Tribes II. It was great; my favorite part of it was flying the little fighter aircraft. When I was a sophomore in college, I played it pretty much every day, and I can distinctly remember a week where I would dream I was in the game, pwnzing teh nubs. Which is to say, I would dream I was flying around in a graphically poor gray flying machine, bombing guys with jetpacks on some frozen planet. After that week, I cut back on playing the game, and that went away. However, I do occasionally dream that I am on a strange airplane that is trying to take off from a freeway, and I’m terribly concerned that the wings will clip a power line or something. So put me down for “yes” for flying dreams, and “not really” for being outside of my body.

·       Dreams of passing through a closed window or solid wall
      Actually, this has never occurred to me. Not only that, but there’s nothing that has happened to me that I can rationalize to fit this. So, score one for you, UFO enthusiasts.

·       Dreams about seeing UFOs, being inside UFOs, or interacting with UFO occupants       
      I’ve dreamt of UFOs before. Usually, just flying around in the sky, invisible, in them. And why has this happened to me? Because I spend my spare time reading and writing about UFOs. Face it: if you think about something enough, you’ll dream about it, but that doesn’t make it any       more real.

As a comparison, let me ask you if you’ve ever seen the show The Iron Chef. You may recognize that name as where I have stolen my name from. As a show it’s absolutely amazing; two supercooks go up against each other with a special theme ingredient.They have an hour to use the ingredient to make a five-course meal, and the tastier is the victor. Anyway, I once dreamt that I was on a show called The Iron Chemist. The special ingredient was Tungsten. As I recall, I made a lightbulb and some sort of electrical thing.

The point is that in your dreams, you do weird stuff. I dream that I’m on an insane chemistry related cooking game show because I read about chemistry all day and watch awesome       TV by night. The same is true about dreaming of UFOs..

·       Dreams of doctors or medical procedures
      I once dreamt that I built robots in my basement, and they contained the reincarnated souls of human beings. Then, when I didn’t need them anymore, I’d perform horrible, torturous medical procedures on them. To this day, I have absolutely no explanation for this, aside from the fact       that I’d watched a few episodes of Futurama that day. Whatever it was, that shit spooked me. Who in the hell has a dream like that? I wasn’t right for days. So yes, put a big check mark next to me in the “medical procedures” column.

·       Dreams of destruction or catastrophe
      When I was in high school, I had a single reoccurring dream, wherein I was wearing a thick protective suit, the kind you’d see on nuclear technicians or something, and that I was walking across a devastated city. The sky was orange, the ground was red, and the buildings were burning, crumbling to the ground around me. It always ended the same way: I’d make my way       to a river of orangey-yellow slime and walk in, convinced that I had to get someplace. I’d swim the river, occasionally climbing onto semi-solid chunks of what was once earth, and though it seemed odd at the time that I could breathe underwater, the thing that always spooked me when I woke up was that this occurred in absolute, total, terrible silence. Think I’m making this up? We had to write a short story in a French class I took once, and I wrote this dream out, because the vivid colors were easy to translate.       

Anyway, I’ve had other dreams of destruction. There was the one where I tortured a robot that had a human soul, and one where I was in Vietnam, fighting in a vast grassy field. Let’s just summarize this by saying that I have supped full with horrors, direness, familiar to my slaughterous thoughts, cannot once start me. And as for this one being fairly universal, I think it’s safe to say that yes, the average person has at some point had a nightmare.       

· Dreams wherein superior beings, angels, or aliens are educating you about mankind, the universe, global changes  or future events
      I’ve been racking my brain over this one. I can recall a large number of dreams in which superior (looking) beings taught me to love (physically) but aside from that, I’ve got nothing on this sign. That being said, I suppose that I can just construe every conversation I’ve ever had       in a dream to be some other being educating me about the ways of mankind. Since I remember a mob boss once giving me a tour of a stadium in a dream, I’ll say that this is true.

·       A waking memory of being inside a UFO or interacting with its occupants       
      I’m not really sure what a waking memory is, but if you mean that I’ve woken up in the middle of a dream about being on a UFO, then yes. Since this list rather heavily relies on dreams and other things that your subconscious does that no one can explain, I’m fairly sure it’s       safe to say that this has occurred to most people that read up on UFOs.       

·       Feeling of being watched much of the time, especially at night
      Absolutely. And I think that I feel I’m being watched all the time, especially at night, for two reasons. First, I live on the ground floor of an apartment building, and for some reason am crippled by the fear that someone outside is going to glance in and see me using the bathroom or something and call the police on me. What can I say, I’m just paranoid, I guess.The second reason, and I can’t stress this enough, is that I read stuff about UFOs and space aliens with some regularity. It’s like watching a horror flick right before bed: it makes you paranoid and jumpy. In fact, since I started answering this question, I can suddenly feel a pair of eyes burning a hole in my back.

·       Seeing unexplained balls of lights or beings when in bed
      As mentioned above, I’ve woken up on numerous occasions thinking that there was a being in my room, and sometimes I’d swear I’ve seen someone in there with me. This is almost certainly a trick of the light combined with my own paranoia.

As far as balls of light, I can remember occasionally seeing a ball of light out of the corner of my eye when I was in my old place, but when I’d turn to look at it, it  was never there. It just sort of followed me around on the periphery of  my vision. This was probably an optical illusion and owes more to my eyeglasses than to space aliens.

· Beams of light outside your home, or come into your room through a window
      I’m not sure how to answer this. I live in a city, which means that at any given time my entire apartment is illuminated by auto headlights. Except for when it’s a flashing hell because a fire truck, ambulance, or police car is driving by or has someone pulled over out in front of the building. So, I guess, if I were the sort of person that would suspect I was abducted by space aliens, then yes, I would interpret some of those lights as otherworldly in nature.

·       Hearing unexplained physical noises
      Every once in a while, especially if I am in the city, I will hear someone shouting my name. No one else ever hears it, though, and I was once told that this is some sort of psychological illusion: the brain hears what it  thinks it should hear, so it interprets some meaningless sound, sometimes, as a word you know. Regardless, yes, I have heard unexplained noises in the past.

·       Unexplained nosebleeds especially when you wake-up
      I don’t recall having any early morning nosebleeds, but there is blood about nose-level on my pillowcase, so I will assume that this has occurred to me. This item, however, make a perfect example of something ridiculously common. “Have you ever had a nosebleed? Yes? Then you were abducted by space aliens.” I’m not impressed. Neither are reasonable people. People who want to believe that they were kidnapped by space aliens, however, would stand up and say “My god! Yes, that has happened to me!”

·       Awakened to discover unexplainable marks or bruises on your body
      This has happened to me. At about shin level, I have a number of strange, scabby things on both legs. I had originally assumed I was walking into stuff and thinking nothing of it, but someone else told me this is just a common, harmless dermatological disorder. That having been said, I do occasionally wake up with warts, bruises, or sore spots that I can’t really explain. You may consider this proof that I have been abducted by space aliens; I suspect the answer involves the fact that I sleep on a couch.       

·       Awoken with soreness in your genitals which can not be explained
      First, let me say: haha! But seriously, this has happened to me on a number of occasions. I’d like to say that I really can’t explain anything that my genitals do, which is why I am no longer allowed in that cheese store at the mall. But I’d also like to say that when I wake up with strange soreness in my reproductive organs, my first thought is not really to wonder if I’ve been abducted by space aliens. My immediate concern is usually leaping out of a window to avoid an enraged husband.

·       X-rays or other procedures reveal unexplainable foreign objects lodged in  your body
      I can’t answer this one, because I have only recently gotten health insurance for the first time in several years. I’ve not yet gotten o see a doctor, and when I do go, it’ll just be for a pretty basic tune up. I could, however, persuasively argue that not having had any X-rays done recently is a product of my irrational fear of doctors (se below).       

·       Sinus trouble or migraine headaches
      I have much worse stomach trouble than either of these. That having been said, while I don’t have migraines, I frequently get mild headache I am a terrible physical specimen. As far as sinus trouble, my nose is always so blocked up that I’m sure nothing ever has time to get to my sinuses. Just to be fair, I’ll list this as a “maybe”. It’s  not really true, but if I wanted to believe hard enough, I’d be able to convince myself of it.

·       Frequent or sporadic ringing in your ears, especially in one ear
      I would love to know why this one is on the list. Yes, I sporadically have ringing it my right ear. Sometimes, my left ear seems to just crap out on me; it’s like listening to a stereo and one of the speakers becomes unplugged. Everything just sort of comes from one side. Anyway, I understand that this effect is relatively common and nothing to be worried about; it certainly does not imply that aliens have visited you.

·       Unusual scars or marks with no possible explanation on how you received them -small scoop indentation, straight line scar, triangular marks, scars in roof of mouth, in nose, behind or in ears
      Well, it’s hard for me to view the inside of my nose or behind my ears, so I can’t really comment on that. Last night I asked a friend of mine at the bar to check, and according to him, “get the hell away from me.” I’ll put that as inconclusive.

Since I was a small child, I have had an incision-like mark on the roof of my mouth. Obviously, I have no idea how it got there. Also, having just admired my form in the mirror for some time, it appears that I have a small mark under each of my armpits.They may just be fabric marks from having recently gotten out of bed, but are we really willing to take that chance?

·       Unusual fear of doctors or tend to avoid medical treatment
      I tend to avoid medical treatment. There are a few reasons for that: first, I’ve not ever injured myself very badly. Second, right now is the first time I’ve had health insurance in years, so I’ve sort of gotten used to it. I suppose I should go and get some of my chronic conditions       checked out (one pertains to a number of small ulcers in my stomach, the other condition pertains to an oversized reproductive organ), but the way I figure it, if it’s not squirting blood, don’t go. Doctors are like everyone else in the world: they’re trying to screw you out of money. I guess it’s not that I’m afraid of doctors, it’s that I’m poor and embittered towards people in general.

·       Missing or lost time
      There are plenty of occasions when I’ve been puttering around in my apartment and been shocked to look at a clock and realize it’s about three or four hours later than I’d thought. This is the opposite to sitting through a thermodynamics class; a three-hour thermo class is the       worst week of a person’s life.

·       Compelled to drive or walk to an out of the way or unknown area
      Occasionally, I get in my car and just drive, drive, drive, with no particular place in mind, and I usually end up near the suburbs where I grew up, flying past farms and through forests. This isn’t because space aliens are luring me out there. It’s because I occasionally want to get out of       the city and see the country, and because I often get rather bored.

·       A strange fog or haze that should not be there
      That depends on what you mean by haze. If you mean a physical object, then no. If you mean feeling sort of hazy and disoriented, then yes. Especially after getting out of a night class, early in the morning, shortly after lunch, or any time when I have to run for more than a hundred feet. It’s like an impenetrable haze settles over my brain and never leaves. Am I a horrible physical specimen? Nope. I’ve been abducted by space aliens.       

Actually, now that I think about it, I’ve had to walk through an inexplicable fog on a number of occasions, returning to my home from the bar. Maybe the space aliens are just waiting  until I am disoriented to abduct me.

·       Strange humming or pulsing sounds, and you could not identify the source       
      This is similar to the “ears ringing” question. Yes, this sometimes occurs to me. It also sometimes occurs to me because I live in a city; I hear weird shit going on constantly. When driving in my car, I am constantly suspicious that the engine is making strange sounds, but when I really focus on it, it doesn’t seem that they are coming from the car. Maybe it’s some weird physics stuff with wind and all that, but I’m not sure. It’s definitely odd.

·       Seeing one or more UFO's up close within short walking or driving distance
      Well, finally, the list is starting to get into specific things that wouldn’t happen to every single person on the face of the earth at some point of their life. That being said, no, I’ve never seen a UFO up close. Probably because I don’t want to see one so badly that I could convince myself  I’ve done so.
      · One or more sighting experiences
      I’ve seen odd shapes or lights in the sky on occasion. However, instead of whole-heartedly believing that they’re space ships from Mars, I usually assume that they’re the more likely explanation of a helicopter, star, searchlight, airplane, or whatever. However, I could be wrong. And       seriously, list maker: who in the world hasn’t seen something odd in the sky at some point? Why not just add “have two eyes and one nose on your face” to the list?

·       A strong "marker memory" that will not go away (i.e.: an alien face, an examination, a needle, a table, a strange skinny baby
      I don’t know what a marker memory is, exactly. I will say this, though Watching The Iron Chef last week, I saw an eggplant that for some reason looked to me like an enormous, writhing beetle. It scared the high holy hell out of me. Since then, I have been absolutely paranoid that there are either beetles or eggplant in everything I eat. I see eggplant in my sleep now. Could it be that I saw one of the Reptilloids while on an alien space ship, and didn’t remember it until I saw that episode of a cooking show? That’s possible. It’s also possible that the next time blow my nose, a winning lottery ticket made out of four-leaf clovers is going to shoot out of my nostril. Anyway, yes, I have a strong marker memory that was recently revealed to me, if an enormous purple beetle covered in parmesan cheese.

·       DNA genetic encodings activated - increased psychic abilities
      I didn’t know what this meant, so I followed the link provided on the site. I made it as far as the first sentence: “Physical reality is a consciousness program created by digital codes.” Immediately thereafter, blood shot out of my ears and I vomited so hard I almost broke  a spinal vertebra. Thanks for almost killing me, numerologists. Anyway, the only psychic ability I have is to detect free food if I’m within 50 feet of it. That, and to hear your every thought. Pervert.

·       Channeled telepathic messages from extraterrestrials
      I must admit, this has never occurred to me. Actually, I take that back:they told me a special, important message for the future of mankind. And I’ll pass it on to you for just $49.95. All kidding aside, I was once challenged to a debate in Canada, and a friend of mine offered to make my       arguments more effective. He claimed that he had received a telepathic signal from space aliens that said that they’d be coming to earth soon, but that they hadn’t come here yet, and that they knew for a fact no other space aliens had ever visited the earth. Aside from the fact that he only ‘remembered’ this message after three pitchers of beer, there’s nothing to make him a less reliable source than any other person who claims they’ve had a psychic vision, and since his vision contradicts other visions, we figured I’d be able to confuse the logic train of my opponent long enough to declare myself the winner.

·       Recall your children or parents speaking of similar experiences on occasion
      Yes, I seem to recall my dad once having a nosebleed. And I’m pretty sure that my sister once had a bad dream. All of the things on this list that have happened to me have more likely than not happened to my family or friends. For that matter, to most of the population of the earth.

So what does this all mean? Wel there were 37 questions, and 31 of them apply to me. One I couldn't answer, one had 'maybe', and on only 4 could I specifically say I'd not experienced what they claim is a sure sign that I have been abducted by space monsters So when it comes down to it, by their account, space aliens should be flying by my house on a nightly basis to abduct me. And yet, I cry, "not so."

I should like to think that not only have you learned a fair amount about me, but that I have demonstrated some of these things to be ridiculous and some of them to be so vaguely worded or innocuous that they could apply to any person, anywhere in the world. When you read lists like this, I am sure that many of the things will apply to you. But no matter how much you wish you had a little more excitement in your life, or you wish you were a little more special, or you wish that there was something that sets you apart from the rest of the rat race, don't buy into this garbage. If you want to be unique, go out and make yourself unique. Don't rely on vague mumbojumbo to convince yourself you've been the victim of a flying space kidnapping. And if other people tell you that they are sure they've been abducted by space monsters because they've read some list similar to this, handle that situation with a heaping       teaspoonfull of skepticism.

Hilary Porter will be among more than 100 people at a conference organised by the Anomalous Mind Management, Abductee, Contactee, Helpline Project

Hilary Porter knows most people won’t believe what she says and some will dismiss her as a nutter, even though she seems entirely normal and her many responsible jobs include work for the Ministry of Defence .

“I’m a sane, together person,” she says.

It’s only when 67-year-old Hilary talks about aliens that people start to doubt her.

Specifically, when she says she has been abducted by creatures from other worlds more times than she can count.

“I have been an alien abductee all my life,” she says with a sigh as she shows me into a living room where two ornamental spaceships sit on the mantelpiece.

“I didn’t choose this life. I didn’t ask for any of this, but it has been happening for as long as I can remember.”

Hilary will be among more than 100 people at a national conference this month organised by the Anomalous Mind Management, Abductee, Contactee, Helpline Project (Ammach for short).

She will share stories and compare notes with others who claim similar experiences.

The first close encounter she recalls came when she was five and playing in the long grass in a field behind her home.

She says: “Suddenly there was a reptilian alien in front of me.

"It had scaly skin, black holes on the nose and a little mouth.

“It wasn’t tall – maybe 5ft, but very strong. It grabbed my arms and pulled me towards a disc in a depression in the field.

"It dragged me underneath into a lift and the door slid closed.

"The next thing I knew I was in a room with consoles and coloured lights and little figures moving around.

“I was stripped and thrown on to some sort of bed.

"They took a really horrible, sharp instrument and they were pressing it right the way up my body while I was screaming. I can’t remember anything after that.”

She believes this was not the first time because when she was two she kept disappearing from a secure back garden and her frantic mother would find her half a mile away.

Hilary has no memory of those disappear­ances, but rattles off one close encounter after another from her adult life.

She is sure she was abducted while driving near Cardiff in the 1970s and again by a hexagonal spacecraft while hanging out bunting at a charity event.

She tells me an alien broke into a top-secret research laboratory at a local Marconi plant while she worked there in 1974.

She remembers two orbs of light flying past her kitchen window near the M3 in Farnborough, Hants, and when she went to work next day sections of the building were cordoned off and a security guard who had witnessed something was taken away for treatment and never seen again.

Her experiences have common threads.

Afterwards she suffers migraines and feels very ill. Sometimes she wakes up with fresh scars or bruises. Or there are bloody marks or stains on her clothes or bedsheets.

“I’ve got a metal implant in my ear too,” she says.

“Of course there are sceptics, people who laugh at us, but that doesn’t bother us,” she tells me.

“Just because they haven’t seen it with their own eyes doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

"We’ve had people from right across the spectrum tell us about their experiences, from university graduates to businessmen.

"They can’t all be just stupid.”

Hilary used to work as draftsman and artist for the MoD and decided to record her encounters by drawing them.

One of her pictures shows her as a little girl being dragged towards the spaceship.

Another sketched in 1980 shows a shadowy figure standing just outside her window.

She recalls: “I had just put my daughter Sally to bed and came downstairs. Then I spotted a huge figure by the window. I froze.

"After a few moments he raised his hand and I did the same.

“After that I wasn’t quite so frightened. I thought he wasn’t going to hurt me.

“Then he glided to the back of the garden. He moved so fast. Woosh. Then he shot sideways, paused for several seconds, and was gone.”

For years she suffered alone until a “crisis abduction” in 1994 when she says she was shown flashbacks of previous encounters.

Pushed to the brink, she started looking for other people with similar stories.

That’s when she met partner Ken, who runs the British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society (BEAMS).

She met more abductees and as someone who can recall many experiences, she began counselling them.

“Finding someone else who understood me was so important,” she says.

So who are these aliens?

Ken says: “There are greys, the ones everyone recognises, but they are just servants. The reptilians are higher beings, then there is a humanoid type.

"But there is something above them, cowled figures. You can’t look at them.

"Their eyes shine and when they look at you they blast a message into your mind.

“They tend to take females more for their eggs and genetic material for breeding purposes.

"We believe they are making a cross between aliens and humans.”

Hilary says her abductions have grown less frequent, but strange phenomena still plague the area around her home, which has spectacular views over the Hampshire skyline.

She says she’s seen hovering triangular shapes and bright lights flying in formation which she has photographed.

She dismisses the idea that it could be military planes from Farnborough airbase, insisting they look and sound different.

Hilary is now planning to work with Ammach founder Joanne Summerscales on a self-help manual for abductees.

Since founding her group in 2011 Joanne has been contacted by 1,500 people who believe they have been abducted.

Several claim to have implants like Hilary.

“I keep hearing the same things time and again but these people have never met,” says Joanne.

“I think there are definitely aliens on our planet.”

Abducted by Aliens: Twins Tell Their Story

Audrey and Debbie not only said that aliens exist, but that they've made contact with them. The twins said it started when they were young.

"I was probably about 5 years old or so ... and a bright blue light would come in to the room and the door would open, and there would be like, a foggy kind of misty blue light, just shining through the whole house," Audrey said. "And these two figures would come in. There would be a tall one, they had black capes, but they were bald and had big eyes."           

'Experiencers' Come Forward With Beliefs

Terrell Copeland, a former U.S. Marine, traveled the farthest to attend the "secret" meeting, driving 600 miles from rural Virginia. Copeland's foray into the paranormal began two years ago with a UFO sighting he said was captured on his cell phone from his apartment in downtown Suffolk, Va.             

"It was an orb of light," he said. "Just a big ball of light. It wasn't moving. One was solid white. The other was directly across the street from it ... up 300 feet above ground and was changing colors very rapidly. "This is ... this is not usual.             Something's wrong here. Maybe I am in over my head. I'm not supposed to be looking at this stuff," Copeland, 27, who drives forklifts at a warehouse for a living, recalled thinking.

But after the video of what Copeland said he witnessed in the sky was posted on YouTube, he said a strange visitor came to his front door.

"I woke up from the nap by the sound of someone trying to enter my apartment," he said. "And I said, 'Who is it?' There was no answer. Still just, you know, you could see the door knob moving and like a scratching at the door. And I keep a firearm. It was on my table. And my thought was to get up and check.             

"I was in complete paralysis. The only things I could move were my eyes. And I heard a voice through the door say, 'You don't need that weapon. We won't harm.'"

Soon after, Copeland said he started experiencing what he calls "missing time." During a span of two nights, Copeland said, he missed four hours -- not as a result of sleep.          

With the number of unexplained UFO sightings mounting, Copeland began keeping a log and sketching what he believes he witnessed during the "missing time" episodes.             

"I was a in a room and I saw a woman who did  not have complete human features," he recalled from the night he said he was abducted in 2006. "She had the typical black eyes that you hear about. She had an elongated skull. And that startled me. And the next memory I have is me standing on my balcony waving at this cylinder-shaped ship."

Copeland said that his experiences with aliens have spiritually transformed him.

"I just want to be a better person because if I feel if someone from above took notice of me ... then maybe I'm doing something right. And if I'm doing something right, maybe I can do it better," he said.

Growing Number Believe They Have Been Abducted

Copeland's otherworldly convictions are shared by thousands of believers. Hundreds flocked to the national convention of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON, in Denver this month to share their experiences with like-minded believers.
