Air Force UFO files hit the web

The truth is out there — and it's now on the web.

The fabled Project Blue Book, the Air Force's files on UFO sightings and investigations, have tantalized and frustrated extraterrestrial enthusiasts for decades. But this week, nearly 130,000 pages of declassified UFO records — a trove that would make Agent Fox Mulder's mouth water — hit the web.

UFO enthusiast John Greenewald has spent nearly two decades filing Freedom of Information Act requests for the government's files on UFOs and other phenomena. On Jan. 12, Greenewald posted the Blue Book files — as well as files on Blue Book's 1940s-era predecessors, Project Sign and Project Grudge — on his online database, The Black Vault.

Project Blue Book was based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Between 1947 and 1969, the Air Force recorded 12,618 sightings of strange phenomena -- 701 of which remain "unidentified."

According to a 1985 fact sheet from Wright-Patterson, posted online by the National Archives, the Air Force decided to discontinue UFO investigations after concluding that "no UFO reported, investigated and evaluated by the Air Force has ever given any indication of threat to our national security [and] there has been no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as 'unidentified' are extraterrestrial vehicles." Wright-Patterson also said the Air Force has not seen any evidence suggesting the sightings "represent technological developments or principles beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge."

Skeptics smelled a whitewash. The private and now-defunct National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena, for example, charged throughout the 1960s that the federal government was covering up what it knew about UFOs and pushed for congressional hearings.

The National Archives has made these files available to public on microfilm in its Washington headquarters. Parts of the Project Blue Book files have previously been posted online in various locations, Greenewald said. But his webpage is the first time the complete files have been posted in PDF form in a searchable database, he said.

The more than 10,000 cases include a 1950 incident at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where an Air Force Office of Special Investigations agent reported a star-like craft that shifted from a bright white color to red and green as it moved erratically in several directions.

And in 1965, Air Force Maj. Jack Bond, the deputy for reconnaissance at the Directorate of Advanced Recon Planning, reported seeing an unidentified object moving in a sine wave pattern while on a flight out of Wright-Patterson. Bond said the object strongly reflected the sunlight as it rose and appeared gray as it descended. It rose and fell three times at varying speeds, before leveling off and accelerating away at more than 600 knots.

The investigator dismissed Bond's observation as a mirage caused by the sun, due to the motion of Bond's plane and the hazy atmospheric conditions.

One thing you won't find online are records related to the alleged 1947 Roswell, New Mexico, incident, where conspiracy theorists maintain the military recovered a crashed alien spacecraft and its occupants.

But Roswell does pop up several times in the files. There are several blurry photographs of lights in the sky taken at Roswell in 1949, for example. And in 1950, airmen there spotted a circular object 10 feet in diameter with a bluish-white color going fast at 8,000 feet and taking a sharp turn to the right.

The National Archives maintains it "has been unable to locate any documentation among the Project BLUE BOOK records which discuss the 1947 incident in Roswell, New Mexico."

But that is just what they would say, wouldn't they?

Daily 2 Cents: My Alien Encounter -- Ghost Possessed Girl Causing Uproar -- Kazakh Village 'Sleep Illness' Update

My Alien Encounter

New Bedford, MA - I first saw UFOs on July 2, 2012: and a few months later, I saw some translucent being in like the early fall of the year 2012. I watched this being for maybe 2 through 5 hours, but I didn't time it. The first UFOs that I ever saw, on July 2, 2012, where bluish, greenish, and violet. I saw like 8 UFOs that night.

Anyways, I am a blogger, and I made a blog about the UFOs I have seen, and also the being that I saw in the year 2012. The following is from My blog that I made almost a year ago:

First off, I saw My alien in August of 2012. I have been seeing the UFOs (every day except when its cloudy out) for exactly 5 months now, since September 8th of 2013.

Ill now explain My alien encounter: It must have been August of 2012, and it was very windy out that day. It was bright and sunny outside and it was warm because it was the summer. To make a long story short, I noticed a certain tree was blowing funny, it was windy outside. I ended up getting My BB gun to look more closely at the anomaly- the tree that was blowing too much. I sat on My bed and looked outside at the tree. At first I didnt notice anything peculiar. I was just looking at the said tree with a 4 power scope attached to a Daisy air rifle. Then after a few minutes, something appeared in My scope. It was a ~3 foot circle, greyish green, with 2 "eyes". They werent eyes but they were letting light pass right through the holes and they were positioned in the middle of the greyish green circle. Im going to call this circle with the two "eyes" a "face". So I proceeded to stare at this "face" with My BB gun, sitting on My bed in My abode.

A few minutes later came splashes of light through the forehead of the "face". It wasnt producing any light, rather, it was producing holes that the ambient light could pass through. Circle after circle of light was passing though, every second or so: this lasted for maybe a half an hour or so, but I didnt time anything.

Next the whole "face" thing disappeared and something else was there. What appeared was the alien itself, translucent or transparent. I honestly didnt know what I was looking at, at that time; I was dumbfounded by the whole encounter to be candid. Anyways, I noticed the alien moving around and looking at Me. It was hard to observe because the alien was translucent or transparent. I saw the aliens face, body, arms, maybe a leg and foot, and his nose from the side view. The alien was about 15 yards from Me, on top of My neighbors roof the whole time. The alien didnt move from on top of My neighbors roof, but it was moving in place. I saw the alien moving his head around, looking at Me; and its a good thing he was moving his head because I wouldnt have been able to discern it otherwise. I saw the alien moving its hand and arm back and forth to its head very fast.

Ohh yeah, and later I did a calculation, and the alien must have been 3 or 4 feet tall. If two roof shingles/caps equal a foot.

It was a very spiritual experience for Me and I think about My alien encounter every day; and I bet you would think of aliens too if you literally saw one like I did. Weird, I know, but it still happened.

The whole time I was watching the alien was a long time, maybe two through four hours. All I know is that it was daylight out when I first started watching the alien, and I stopped watching the alien when it got dark out and I couldnt see the alien good. Its hard to watch a translucent alien at night even though it was about 15 yards away.

So thats what I remember of My alien encounter and I will never forget it, even though its a little vague now.

Next, the UFOs.

I see UFOs on a daily basis, except when its cloudy outside. I first noticed the UFOs on September 8th of 2013. But I did see UFOs one day on July 2, 2012, but I didnt see those for more then a few minutes.

Anyways, I first noticed the UFOs that I see every day (practically) on September 8th of 2013. I noticed a "star" that started out higher in the sky, then the next time I went to smoke a cigarette it was lower and to the right; then next time I went to smoke, it was gone. The next day I critically observed this "star" and I noticed it was moving in place; I figured it must be a UFO. I then noticed more and more "stars" move over the next few weeks until I drew the conclusion that all the "stars" in My sky are actually UFOs.

The UFOs disguise themselves as "stars" in the sky but they actually move. The UFOs move in every direction, but you cant discern if they are moving closer or farther away. The UFOs are above the clouds. The UFOs are lite up, so they must use some type of light for this. The UFOs are scattered throughout the sky like stars.

I want to know who is in the UFOs and why dont we have that kind of technology. I can only think of a dichotomy; its either extraterrestrial or military. The UFOs remain in the sky all night, I dont watch them after I go to bed though. I dont know what the UFOs do during the day, but they are in My sky at night. I dont know where else you can see UFOs besides Massachusetts.

I am very serious, and I have vivid memories of seeing a being in the year 2012. Also, I witnessed at least a half dozen UFOs on July 2, 2012, or a few months BEFORE I saw that being. These UFOs were very bright, and they were colored: I remember seeing blue, green, and purple UFOs on July 2, 2012. But, as of September 8th of 2013, I noticed that the "stars" appear to move, and I have been watching the "stars" move for about a year and 4 months now. I don't know if this is an optical illusion, or if I am seeing UFOs? I have seen some UFOs move in a straight line, and then dim into blackness, and I have witnessed this at least a few times. They look like stars, they blink, they glow like a star, but I see them moving around.

Ghost possessed Ghana girl causes uproar

The  ghost of a 29-year old man, Eugene Nana Asamoah is said to have possessed a 12-year girl only named as Jennifer at Essikado, and using her to cause uproar and anger in the community.

The deceased is said to have died a few months ago under mysterious circumstances.

The ghost of Asamoah reportedly possessed Jennifer and changed the accent of the girl to reflect his.

She mentioned four persons, who happened to be the relatives of the deceased, as being behind his death.

After the ghost-possessed girl mentioned the names, the father of the deceased was said to have lodged a complaint at the chief’s palace for them to be summoned to be questioned.

At the chief’s palace at Essikado on Tuesday, January 13, the ghost-possessed girl accused the elders who were billed to adjudicate the matter of collecting bribe worth GH₵ 200 from the accused persons, thus stoking more controversy and embarrassment for the elders.

The girl was whisked into a room at the palace and asked to keep quiet but she kept on revealing more secrets thereby causing a scene.

A resident of the town, Ama Ababio, said the ghost possessed the girl, was able to sign the signature of the deceased correctly on a cheque, which enabled the family to withdraw money from his bank account to pay off his debts. - Citi FM Online

Man Awakens After 12 Years in a “Vegetative State,” Says “I Was Aware of Everything”

In the 1980’s, 12-year-old Martin Pistorious became seriously ill with what doctor’s believed was Cryptococci Meningitis. His health started deteriorating and Martin lost his ability to move, make eye contact and even speak to others. His doctors told his parents, Rodney and Joan Pistorious, to bring him home and let him die. They told them he was as good as a vegetable.

However, he didn’t die.

Joan said, “Martin just kept going, just kept going.”

According to NPR news, his father would get up at 5 o’clock in the morning, get him dressed, load him in the car, take him to the special care center where he’d leave him. Rodney said, “Eight hours later, I’d pick him up, bathe him, feed him, put him in bed, set my alarm for two hours so that I’d wake up to turn him so that he didn’t get bedsores.”

For twelve years, Martin’s family cared for him without any sign that he was improving. Joan started to despair and even told her son, “I hope you die.”

Today she acknowledges that was a horrible thing to say but says she just wanted some sort of relief. Remarkably, now Martin is 39-years-old and says he was totally aware of everything going on around him.

He said, “Yes, I was there, not from the very beginning, but about two years into my vegetative state, I began to wake up. I was aware of everything, just like any normal person. Everyone was so used to me not being there that they didn’t notice when I began to be present again. The stark reality hit me that I was going to spend the rest of my life like that — totally alone.”

Unfortunately, Martin was even aware of his mother’s harsh words and began believing that no one would ever love him. He said, “You don’t really think about anything. You simply exist. It’s a very dark place to find yourself because, in a sense, you are allowing yourself to vanish.”

Martin spent most of those days at a care center where his caregivers played Barney reruns over and over again. They did this because they believed he was a vegetable too. He said, “I cannot even express to you how much I hated Barney.”

But eventually, Martin became frustrated with being trapped in his own body and started to try and take control of his life. He learned to tell time by the rising and setting of the sun and would reframe even the ugliest of thoughts that haunted him like his mother’s wish for him to die. “As time passed, I gradually learned to understand my mother’s desperation. Every time she looked at me, she could see only a cruel parody of the once-healthy child she had loved so much,” said Martin.

Now Martin is married and has penned a memoire about his life. He has gained control of his body and in his book Ghost Boy: The Miraculous Escape of a Misdiagnosed Boy Trapped Inside His Own Body he writes, “My mind was trapped inside a useless body, my arms and legs weren’t mine to control and my voice was mute. I couldn’t make a sign or sounds to let anyone know I’d become aware again. I was invisible—the ghost boy.”

Martin’s survival is a testament to how little we actually know about the human brain and a good reminder that we should value all life— even when we hear the terrifying words “your loved one is a vegetable” or in a “vegetative state” from a medical professional. - Life News

Authorities Begin Relocation of Kazakh Villagers Hit With Mystery 'Sleep Illness'

Kazakh authorities have begun relocating the residents of a small village that has been plagued for nearly two years by the spread of a mysterious illness marked by random bouts of days-long slumber.

Since spring 2013, residents of the northern Kazakh villages of Kalachi and neighboring Krasnogorsk have complained of a mysterious "sleeping illness," but health workers have been unable to decisively pin down the cause of the symptoms. Doctors have been referring to the illness as "encephalopathy of unknown etiology," or a brain disorder with no known origin.

Those afflicted fall asleep at random, usually for days at a time, and then suffer from hallucinations and memory loss upon waking, according to Kazakh media reports.

There has been a surge in recent weeks. Since Dec. 20, more than 30 people have fallen ill with the mysterious affliction, prompting authorities to begin relocating residents, Interfax-Kazakhstan reported.

On Wednesday, the regional administration responsible for the village of Kalachi announced that it had handed over the keys of a new apartment to one family so far, and plans to move another 40 families out of the village by the end of January, according to Interfax-Kazakhstan.

More than 100 of Kalachi's total 680 residents have been affected by the illness, and popular speculation has run rampant on its cause, with theories including mass psychosis, poisoning, insect bites, and even an alien invasion.

Last week, the Kazakh Health Ministry said it believed "vapors" that build up during the heating season in poorly ventilated houses could be to blame, Kazakh news site Diapazon.kz reported.

Tests are still being conducted to rule out any possible radiation from a Soviet-era uranium mine in the area, as well as any possible tainted water in the village, according to Diapazon.kz. - The Moscow Times

Unexplained Easter Island

The statues on Easter Island are megalithic and imposing enough, but when you consider they were actually over 30 feet tall with the majority of them under soil (now), you have to wonder why or how these people did this feat thousands of years ago! 

The question becomes, were they buried by volcanic action on the island and actually once stood on the ground level or if they were purposely buried into the earth to remain very intact no matter what occurred over thousands of years.

A lot about Easter Island doesn't add up. You have evidence in caves of cannibalism. Researchers like to think the people ended up eating each other after they lost their resources. Theories like this can take fire and catch online and in circles of research and no one can shake them; there is an assumption that is the ultimate explanation – case closed. 

We must remain open-minded about what happened on that island in the middle of the Pacific. Many have been disputing that long-held concept. So, what might have happened to them? Hmm….

There were other cultures of Natives who went missing in our world, such as the Sinagua, HoHoKam, Karankawa, Yaghan, and Anasazi, and yet we don't ask why that was it that they seemed to have unusual features or technology and they went missing. Who were they living alongside? What kind of relationship did they have? 

The introduction of Europeans certainly had a way of killing off native people very quickly (just look at the Canary Islands Gaunches, Argentinian Yaghan and the Texan Karankawas). Assimilation, fighting, and disease are enough to make a tribe go extinct.

But, were the Rapa Nui the only occupants on this island – ever? It appears they were relatively “new coming” in terms of its habitation so far as dating now at 1200 AD and being found in the 1800s. Less than 600 years for some nomadic people to land on the island, set up housekeeping with a small population and manage to make huge strides in carving gigantic statues and writing???

Source:  The oral history of Easter Island describes the “long ears” as the early period's population and the builders of the monuments.  The “short ears” came to the island later and apparently worked for the “long ears” as helpers.  A deadly feud occurred and the “short-ears” reversed a trap set for them and murdered the “long-ears” at Hotu-iti.

It's been asked if ancients built along cryptoexplosion sites where hundreds of millions of years ago there was a meteor impact or a major volcanic eruption, but it would seem that such impact or eruption sites would be full of volcanic-like mineral-rich grounds that are ideal for growing. It may be incidental and there might be something they sought there, such as a particular form of rock, that was critical for their building purposes. They did seem to appreciate cave systems, mining, and rich soils near waterways; all things that can be found at volcanic regions.

The writing “Rongorongo” found on Easter Island seems to be a mystery of great curiosity. First of all, it has never been translated and second of all, it is believed it might prove independent development of language in a place without influence from other cultures. It reads more like a documenting process for all living things. It is believed to be read as reading the bottom line left to right, then turning the tablet 180 degrees and doing so again. Incidentally, this would be a spiral shaped reading pattern. The Rapa Nui in the 1800s were confused how to read the tablets. Some say the tablets were brought from a homeland to the island, but no homeland has been found. It is believed the language is no earlier than the 13th Century, though these numbers are constantly changing. It is interesting that they had advanced knowledge to build stone statues long before then and move them about, and yet could not seem to create a written language or understand the one they had access to on tablets. Much does not add up.

Russia’s Top Secret Underground Bases (DOCUMENTARY)

Kapustin Yar was the former Soviet Union’s most sensitive air base, even exceeding America’s Area 51 for the levels of secrecy that shrouded it.

Kapustin Yar was created as the site for the development of the Soviet Union’s space program after the end of World War II. It lies over 500 miles south of Moscow and about 60 miles east of Volgograd, the former Stalingrad. It was here that captured V2 rockets and the German scientists that created them were set to work with not only the single task of getting into space before the Americans, but also designing and testing new aircraft, missiles and other weapons systems. The base was deemed so secret that the nearby town of Zhitkur was emptied of its population and levelled because it was too close.

In 1948, less than a year after the famed Roswell Incident, the base’s radar operators picked up an unidentified object. At the same time, a fighter pilot flying close to the base had a visual sighting of a silver, cigar-shaped object. Reporting that he was being blinded by rays from the UFO, the pilot was ordered to engage with it and, after a three minute dogfight, a missile successfully brought down the object. It seems that the UFO fired some sort of energy weapon at the MiG and both craft crashed to the ground.

UFOs Flying Around Swanley and Bexleyheath

Nearly 60 years ago, a flying saucer reportedly made a landing nearby Bexleyheath, and just recently a Swanley contractor claims to have witnessed unidentified flying objects over the same area.

London Road resident Tony Histed managed to photograph a saucer-shaped object in the sky at around 11:20 pm on the 30th of December 2014.

Histed said that he just looked up at the sky and saw the UFO before it shot off without making any noise.

In September 2014, the contractor was in Briarfield Close working at a building site when he first spotted unusual lights in the sky over King Harold’s Way during the beginning of a thunderstorm.

According to his statement, he was walking out of the site when he noticed a strange bright light above to the east, so he stopped and observed it as it came across the horizon towards the storm.

The witness also saw one more in front of the first and then they both flew silently into the oncoming storm.

The witness decided to go back to the site, and when he got in there, he noticed an orb came up off the ground followed by another orb, so he went up on the scaffolding.

The UFOs levelled off and moved to the northeast, the last one split into two and then joined again before they disappeared.

The 51-year-old witness was amazed to know that King Harold’s Way is known for UFO sighting in 1955. More than thirty people claimed to have seen a circular aerial object with eight suckers hovering over the ground.

After that particular incident, Bexleyheath has become a UFO hotspot and in fact, author Nick Pope named the place as one of the top 10 UFO areas. Mr Histed added that he found out he was overlooking the landing sites when he looked on the map.

Dr. Edgar Mitchell in one of his most moving and revealing interviews ever! Did you know that he grew up in Roswell, New Mexico? Dateline NBC conducted an interview with Mitchell on April 19, 1996, during which he discussed meeting with officials from three countries who claimed to have had personal encounters with extraterrestrials. He offered his opinion that the evidence for such “alien” contact was “very strong” and “classified” by governments, who were covering up visitations and the existence of alien beings’ bodies in places such as Roswell, New Mexico. He further claimed that UFOs had provided “sonic engineering secrets” that were helpful to the U.S. government. In 2004 he told the St. Petersburg Times that a “cabal of insiders” in the U.S. government were studying recovered alien bodies, and that this group had stopped briefing U.S. Presidents after John F. Kennedy. He said, “We all know that UFOs are real; now the question is where they come from.”

On July 23, 2008 Edgar Mitchell was interviewed on Kerrang Radio by Nick Margerrison. Mitchell claimed the Roswell crash was real and that aliens have contacted humans several times, but that governments have hidden the truth for 60 years, stating: “I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we’ve been visited on this planet, and the UFO phenomenon is real.” In reply, a spokesman for NASA stated: “NASA does not track UFOs. NASA is not involved in any sort of cover up about alien life on this planet or anywhere in the universe. Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his opinions on this issue.”

Are UFOs from Under the Sea?

Bill McDonald made this drawing of the Roswell craft based on numerous eye witness testimony. It’s hull and internal configurations had been “Grown” to mimic the structures and forms of living organic ocean animals such as the stingray.

A sample of the skin or shell of the Roswell craft had micron thick layers of magnesium and zinc alternating with layers of bismuth a white, crystalline, brittle metal a thermal conductivity lower than any metal except mercury. It has a high electrical resistance, and has the highest Hall Effect of any metal (that is, the greatest increase in electrical resistance when placed in a magnetic field).
Frank Kaufmann describes the underside of the craft as tiled with an array of hexagons. The craft itself is described as shaped like a sting ray and capable of changing its shape in flight. Scrapings came from the exterior underside of the craft were shell-like shielding the craft indicating it may have been constructed underwater. This would cause the conjecture that aliens may have developed on Earth or reached here on large spaceships and are building scout ships from the materials available on Earth. The large number of sightings indicates a prefabricated design.”

Stingray similar to Roswell Craft

It is a known fact UFOs are often seen entering and leaving water. Additionally, their craft have features similar to various “Waverider-stingray-cetacean-forms. Marine mammals in the cetacean family include whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Although whales spend all their time in the oceans, they are mammals just like us. This means that they are warm blooded, give birth to live young, nurse their young, and must come to the surface to breathe air through their lungs. What if some types of humanoids developed under water or ice and created some sort of intelligent civilization and technology? Many UFOs although fast and maneuverable do not seem to be spaceships with the ability to travel vast distances to other planets.

I happen to live on a lake and woke in the middle of the night with a bright light shining in the window. Looking out onto the lake a disc shaped craft with circling lights was surfacing like a submarine. It seemed at home in the water and later flew off. Underwater is a natural hiding place and high speed underwater craft are often reported. We also receive reports and images of undersea mining, structures, pyramids and even mermaids.

Stingray-skate-like diamond triangular wing form profiles. The general lateral profile was porpoise-like and until the inward-canted vertical stabilizers were exactly the profile of a species of cetacean known as dall’s porpoise. The stingray-skate-like diamond triangular wing form profiles were subtly different–But close enough to satisfy a detective’s standards regarding multiple witness composites. The hexagonal power cell belly tiles were identically described by both men, to include being subducted under a thin rim layer of approximately eighteen inches. There were big hexagons near the nose, shrinking in size towards the tail and trailing wing edges. John Andrews independently confirmed that Kelly and Ben also described a complex “Power grid” on the ships belly.

Len Stringfield told me about the skin of the Roswell flight crew: He stated that macroscopically, the skin resembled the tiny, granulated smooth beaded

scales of the tiny albino Geckos (shown) inhabiting the islands of the South Pacific. He stated that his physicians reported that the skin was NOT the semipermiable layers that hold in moisture and fluids and hold out dangerous rot bacilli. He stated that it was like synthetic screen mesh under a microscope. He stated that the flight crew members would have leaked like sieves if they were walking around outside the landed craft and not encased in some artificial cellophane-like substance. Infection would have occurred in seconds. The floor of the craft had a texture of the floor was like “Coral growth” patterns. The kidney dialysis bag of the aliens was similar to the crystalline layers of microtubes in the floor layers. He also described vented louvers in the flooring edges on either side of the crew compartment which were similar to the gill slits of sharks. The craft may have had fluids inside to cushion the flight crew from high “G” aerial maneuvers although the fluids would have drained after a crash. The alien flight crew would likely die from the rapid onset of infections and dehydration. Fluid in the craft would allow for near buoyancy in seawater and allows the craft dive into the ocean and fly out again with slightly positive buoyancy offset by its propulsion system.

In Eugene H. Burt’s book, UFOs and Diamagnetism, he discusses the Hall voltage developed across a conductor when the conductor is inserted in a magnetic field. In a few cases, one of them being Bismuth, the current may be considered positive current. It should be beneficial to determine whether there is a correlation between the observed diamagnetism in solid state physics and a positive current as determined by the Hall Effect. Henry Wallace, a GE Engineer, patented a device for creating secondary gravitational fields. He described using spinning discs composed of bismuth which had developed a strong positive electrostatic charge. Bismuth has a density nearly as heavy as lead. It can be found in the circulation of hot water hydrothermal veins that also have nickel, cobalt silver, tin, and uranium sulfides.

T.T. Brown experimented with disc- shaped capacitors that were suspended and charged with high voltages. These disc- shaped capacitors accelerated toward the capacitor’s positive pole. The Brown Effect is usually referred to as electrogravity. Objects that are highly polarized and develop high voltages tend to lose weight and levitate. Experiments with spinning objects also show gravitationally anomalous effects.

Flying saucers are surrounded by an ionizing field that levitates and propels them as well as acting as a refractive lens to divert light in stealth mode. Diamagnetic materials create an induced magnetic field in a direction opposite to an externally the Earth’s magnetic field, and are repelled by the applied magnetic field. In contrast, the opposite behavior is exhibited by paramagnetic materials.

Materials called diamagnetic are those that laymen generally think of as non-magnetic, and include water, wood, most organic compounds such as petroleum and some plastics, and many metals including copper, particularly the heavy ones with many core electrons, such as mercury, gold, and bismuth. Diamagnets may be levitated in stable equilibrium in a magnetic field, with no power consumption.

The Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands has conducted experiments where water and other substances were successfully levitated.

Most spectacularly, a live frog (see figure) was levitated.

In September 2009, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California announced they had successfully levitated mice using a superconducting magnet. They hope to perform experiments regarding the effects of microgravity on bone and muscle mass. Recent experiments studying the growth of protein crystals have led to a technique using powerful magnets to allow growth in ways that counteract Earth’s gravity. A simple homemade device for demonstration can be constructed out of bismuth plates and a few permanent magnets that levitate a permanent magnet. Metallic hexagonal crystals reported on the craft also show a diamagnetic behavior and may act as waveguides in superconductors. The discs likely develop a time-varying diamagnetic field that interacts with the earth’s magnetic field. The Roswell craft had advanced technology, an organic technology that is able to grow an ordered structure from a crystalline matrix. Such organic technology is our next step in growing homes and vehicles that can change their shape.

The Roswell craft may have become the model for Lockheed’s X-33, a rocket-based Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO) Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV). The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works X-33 uses a lifting body shape coupled with a rocket engine to propel the vehicle to over Mach 15. The lifting body shape is similar to the stingray.

It seems amazing that aliens would use so many designs similar to under water living entities. This likely indicates they live underwater or came from a planet with similar water conditions. We can even speculate alien humanoids developed a civilization beneath the sea speculated

Carl Feindt in his book “UFOs and Water” the Sea, lakes and rivers” discuses the large number of sightings that have occurred in water, leaving and entering the Sea, lakes and rivers. Carl does not feel there is an Earth based civilization that aliens simply use water as a convenient hiding place.

Now, compare all of the above with statements made by the late retired Lt. Col Corso in his book “The Day After Roswell,” who claimed the craft was able to displace gravity through the propagation of magnetic waves controlled by shifting the magnetic poles around the craft so as to control, or vector, not a propulsion system, but the repulsion force of like charges. [p100]

The Air Force discovered that the entire vehicle functioned just like a giant capacitor. In other words, the craft itself stored the energy necessary to propagate the magnetic wave that elevated it, allowed it to achieve escape velocity from the earth’s gravity, and enabled it to achieve speeds of over seven thousand miles per hour. It was as if gravity was being folded around the outside of the wave that enveloped the craft. [p101]

Engineers marveled at the thin amalgam of the most refined copper and purest silver they had ever seen that covered the ship’s underside. The metal was remarkable for its conductivity, as if the entire craft was an electrical circuit offering no resistance to the flow of current. [p107] Accelerating from a near stationary hover above a given spot, like a helicopter, to speeds in excess of seven thousand miles per hour in a matter of seconds? The craft itself was an electrical circuit.

• That the flight suits -“flight skins” is a better description – the creatures wore were made of a substance whose atomic structure was elongated, strengthened lengthwise, so as to provide a directional flow to any current applied to it. The engineers who first discovered this were amazed at the pure conductivity of these skins, functionally like the skin of the craft itself and their obvious ability to protect the wearer while at the same time vectoring some kind of electronic field. [p108]

The debris and the spacecraft indicated that an engine didn’t somehow fall out of the craft when it crashed. A conventional engine was never there in the first place. What we found was that the craft seemed to have had the ability to store as well as conduct a vast amount of current. What if the craft itself were the engine, imparted with a steady current from another source that it stored as if it were a giant capacitor? This would be like charging the battery in an electric car and running it until the battery was drained. [p109]

The Roswell craft was simply a capacitor that stored current that was controlled or vectored by the pilot and was able to be recharged in some way or could recharge itself with some form of built-in generator. Scientists who had gone to the Air Materiel Command at Wright Field to see the debris were speculating that the electronic potential of the Roswell craft reminded them of the German and British antigravity experiments of the 1920s and 1930s. Tesla and a number of other European scientists had been pioneers in the conversion of circumscribed small-area antigravity fields out of electromagnetic fields.[p110]

But, what if the flying craft already carried enough electric potential and storage capacity to retain its power, just like a very advanced flying battery? Then it might have all the power it needed to propagate and vector a wave directionally by shifting its magnetic poles. If the magnetic field theory experiments carried out by engineers and electrical energy pioneers
Paul Biefeld and Townsend Brown in the 1920s at the California Institute for Advanced Studies were accurately reported – and the U.S. military as well as scientific record keepers at Hoover’s young Bureau of Investigation kept very close tabs on what these engineers were doing – then the technological theory for antigravity flight existed before World War II.

If the EBEs utilized a wave-propagation technology as an antigravity drive and navigation system, then they traveled inside

About the only possible process that could interfere with the electromagnetic field drive we suspected the aliens were using: was a directed-particle energy-beam weapon that could disrupt the electromagnetic wave formation around the spacecraft and penetrate the antigravity field. [p245]

Lunar Triangle and Structures Imaged

This triangle ship was found in Ryder Crater, on the far side of the moon. It was found by Streetcap1 of YouTube who is on a constant watch for new evidence of aliens. Its detail and shape are clear indication that this was a triangular shaped craft. At the ends of the corners, the ends are turned upward which shows that this was a craft that flew both in space and in atmospheres of planets. Also the top center is raised up. I wonder who will get to this alien tech first. The tech inside must be the stuff of dreams. SCW.

European backlash against ‘Islamisation’

Another gunman who took at least five hostages Friday afternoon at a Kosher grocery in Paris also died in a nearly simultaneous raid. The gunman Amedy Coulibaly claimed he was part of the Islamic State and worked with the Kouachi brothers.

A former Justice Department attorney says despite the declaration by the perpetrators of this week’s terrorist attack in Paris, President Obama and others on the left continue to deny the Islamic connection to the massacre and the threat is growing within our borders and attacks in the U.S. are likely to occur soon. “It’s [the terrorists themselves] who are saying I’m doing this in the name of Islam.”Adams says the barbarians who believe they are acting consistent with Islamic teaching are a threat to civilization.

The peace rally march, attended by more than 40 world leaders including from Great Britain, Germany and Israel, capped off a tumultuous week for France after the deadly attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper. No high level US representative attended the march.

Florida Crescent

Lakeland — On the evening of January 10, 2015, my friend and I were gazing up at Orion’s star Mintaka when a translucent type of cloud appeared and then a crescent shaped remarkably beautiful craft. My friend and I both observed the craft move west silently across the sky. There were no navigation lights on the craft, which is very odd since the flight path was due west toward the Lakeland airport. The craft was 500 to 1000 feet in altitude, this is quite dangerous as there might be other small aircraft at that altitude. The craft was illuminated by the urban city lights below, therefore it must have had a shiny surface. At first it was translucent silver, but changed to a pale rose color before it disappeared. It had a clearly crescent shape and I could see details on the underside. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Illinois Light

On January 7, 2014, I was driving home from work and noticed a bright object in sky. At first I thought it was a bright star or plane but as I drove west the object looked bigger and brighter. At the stop light I took this picture.

When I got home in five minutes the object was still in sky but had moved west towards the sunset. I went inside to get husband to show him but it was gone when we returned outside. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kansas City — About 8 PM, on January 10, 2015, my husband saw a very bright blinking star. I told him was a helicopter. He said.” “That is definitely not a helicopter.”
About 9 PM, I looked outside my back door and noticed it had gotten closer to my neighbor’s backyard so I grabbed my phone and took a picture. I blew it up and it looked like a boomerang. It is not the first time we have seen objects above our house. We often see beautiful fighting stars every now and then. This one really stood out and I had to get a picture to get a closer look. New Mexico Lights

Albuquerque — I went outside at midnight to ring in the New Year, towards the SE, near Kirtland Air Force Base, I noted three lights bigger than stars. All were round, glowing reddish orange. The largest light on north of the others curved in a path over Albuquerque like many aircraft do when taking off. I first noticed the color of the light was not like that of a plane and there were no navigation lights as it turned. It grew brighter and rose straight up and disappeared. The two others, which had not moved faded out.

I’ve have seen a lot of weird things, but never anything that I couldn’t explain before now. Last night, I found a fresh scoop mark on my left shin an eighth of an inch in diameter next to several others. No memories of anything odd accompany these marks, but a wound has often appeared since I was 8, and it feels like tissue has been removed at least down to the bone. They take much longer to heal than other injuries. There were no traces of blood anywhere. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Brooklyn – When I was a child about 6 years old in the mid 1960s our family lived in the Marine Park/Kings Plaza/Floyd Bennett Field area.  I remember I couldn’t be found behind a neighbor’s stoop as us kids were outside on a summer night playing Hide and Go Seek.  Lake Tiorati — Twas the week before Christmas in 1966, when twenty-three-year old Vincent and two pals decided to do a little winter fishing in Lake Tiorati when something strange was spotted in the sky. Indian Point Nuclear Power Station on the Hudson River is three miles to the east of Lake Tiorati. Vincent tells us, “Suddenly a rare object of bronze color appeared, making no noise and its size was 6 meters,” (diameter).  Vincent snapped four photos that the US Air Force – Project Blue Book representatives later did a scant investigation and quickly labeled the sighting photos a hoax.  Later the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) investigators found no evidence of a hoax.  This photo is in the archives of the Best Photos of UFOs website. North Carolina Moon

Matthews — On January 5th 2015, at 1 AM, I witnessed the third Halo moon and as soon as I saw it I rushed to get my camera to affirm the object previously witnessed. To my great surprise the object was exactly as it was before changing colors within the camera from silvery white to blue. It is clearly a solid object that is attempting to obscure itself from view. It sent a telepathic connection and wanted me to be aware of it. I had a sighting with my father and know beings of other worlds are real. The message sent essentially was they want to help and are here for those of the world who will positively interact with them. You may witness this event to discover the truth of my statements and also witness a UFO. This UFO you will witness is large 30 miles long at minimum. It can be seen best during a Full Moon at 1 a.m. during what I call a Halo moon. Take your iPhone and turn the camera towards the moon and threw the lens you will see an object you can’t see with your eyes. Oregon Lights

Albany — I was standing on my patio facing south on January 10, 2015, when I noticed two objects in the air moving towards my location. I thought they were helicopters as they approached but there was no engine noise. As they passed over my house to the north-east, the first one rose into the cloud cover and disappeared. The second who was following on the same course then did the same thing. I took photographs and have two houses in the picture for a reference. They stayed at approximately 4 to 500 feet, moving silently. Event was over very quickly. The objects appeared to pulsate and change shape and even change shades of color. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Newport — My friend’s car was broke, so I went to meet him in my car on December 28, 2014, and he phoned his roommate who had tow ropes. When we got tow tied up we took the back road home so we could go slow and not hold up traffic. I was behind him with my hazard lights on to warn approaching cars when I saw this very bright green light so I stopped and got out of my car to watch. It hovered then flew in a straight line and slowly faded away. I first noticed the object when looking at a clear midnight sky. Pennsylvania Triangle

Royersford — driving my car a quarter of a mile from home in middle of night on July 16, 2013, the three of us noticed a triangular object.
The object was hovering high over houses in a horizontal flat position moving to a vertical position. We pulled the car over and watched this object as I was concerned with the safety of my passengers.

This was the same car that I first saw the being who took on the appearance of the car’s interior a year prior. I filed the police report with The Upper Providence Township Police Department. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Valley Forge — On this particular evening I was driving home from work on January 7, 2015, through Valley Forge Park on Gulph Road when I noticed three very bright lights just over the tree line. The lights were side by side flying too low to be a plane. I also realized it was moving slowly so I started snapping pictures. It was very dark and 17 degrees F. outside. When my car had finally passed the lights, I looked back at them it out my driver side window. This is when I realized could distinguish the triangle shape vividly that was just above the tree line. Once I was past the lights, I was a little shaken up and called my mom, who researched sightings in Valley Forge. She said, “George Washington had reported witnessing a UFO there during the Revolutionary War, and a few years ago someone else, had reported a very similar story to mine.” Thanks to MUFON CMS

Texas Triangle

Richardson – I was heading to work and noticed ten jets leaving chemtrails behind with a strange black one that I took a picture of on January 8, 2014.

Days later I looked on my phone and saw this object. Maybe it’s a jet I don’t know but the light on the front seemed as big as the craft. The best I could see when blowing up picture looked as if it had legs or tentacles coming out on the sides. I did not see object with my eyes. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Utah Orbs

North Salt lake / Bounti — I was at home, I called a friend and had just stepped outside, when I noticed an orb moving north on January 13, 2015. I started taking pictures of three orbs the other two following behind the first. When they got a little bit closer to overhead of my house they formed an almost triangular formation and started to ascend. They started to dim and become almost opaque. One headed east, another west and the third just kept ascending. I called my friend back and two followed the same path. I called my friend yet again and two more showed up, as they were almost directly over my house. My mother came home I asked her what they were and she couldn’t tell either. Melbourne — II had just picked my daughter up from work in Melton on January 8, 1015, and was heading north along Melton Highway when my daughter and I both noticed a light zipping across the sky. We watched it as it headed south and then straight up and out of sight. It completely changed direction without any apparent change of speed. The entire event lasted less than 10 seconds. Porto Alegre — UFO is recorded in photo taken the night of October 7, 2014, at 6:56 PM, which was dismissed for lack of focus, ended up being forgotten in my cell. It seems curious, but as the UFOSFACTS administrator I never had the opportunity to personally register any UFO event. But this time, I recorded something interesting as I took a photo of the Super Moon. I remember not seeing anything in the sky when I took the photo. Enlarging the picture, we can see clearly that this is not a common aircraft with mist vortices formed by compression of the air.
Alto Paraiso de Goias – At 6 AM on 1 January 2015, I was watering plants and I sighted a flying object and grabbed my camera and took photos of the OVNI in its passage. The UFO was flying with complete silence. My three dogs with me did not have any reaction. It flew very fast and suddenly the object disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Saskatchewan – Strange unknown designs and images were made in the snow on January 17, 2014, that shows strange letters. These digital images were captured by my camera on fresh snow in the driveway. This is a view of the driveway from the sidewalk before shoveling the snow off it. The garage, telephone pole and the concrete safety barrier produce the shadows. There are no mice holes and, the back and forth patterns just end. I would like to discuss the images with an investigator.

Lerum — My cousin and I first thought we both saw a big light reflection in the windshield when later we both observed a big light going from NE to NW; then hovering – orb looking with smaller orb spinning around it on December 17, 2012. Around 11 pm, we were driving home when I saw a big light above the clouds that has 3-4 lights spinning around the bigger light. It was moving back and forth like a spot light. Then would disappear shortly and come back. My cousin was startled and scared. It had round lights spinning around its bottom. I believe in other intelligent life forms in this vast universe. U. S. Virgin Islands Triangle

St. Thomas – A red triangle was seen over us on New Year’s Eve. My boyfriend and I were on a boat at a firework launch sight for a New Year’s Eve celebration. We were on our one minute countdown to midnight when, above our small island, a red inverted triangle rose up. Each point of the triangle had a red light.. At midnight, the fireworks went off and we lost sight of it. I found it again during a break, the point of the triangle was on top instead of the bottom, but the whole formation was in the same vicinity as before. I would guess the triangle object was about 100 feet on each side.. Thanks to MUFON CMS

UK/Northern Ireland Object

Belfast — This picture was taken during a bus tour of Belfast on September 8, 2014. This object was not observed at the time and only after we reviewed our vacation photos, did we notice the object.

I have no idea what is depicted, maybe a bug? I zoomed in on the object and it appears to be something flying in the sky.

It does not appear to be a bird or a plane.

M6 England — I would like to report a UFO sighting me and my girlfriend had on 12th January 2015 at 8 PM, whilst driving on the M6 motorway in England. The UFO was actually hovering over the motorway about 35/40 feet above us. Thanks to UFOINFO

"The MJ-12 papers is a contingency plan to test the public's reaction to the information.

I have a friend who said this to me who was in the Navy.  Majesty files are the real ones.  He also told me about the code word "Poderosa" and why the executive order on the MJ-12 papers is wrong.  They did it for a reason.

And project Grudge Blue Book Report #13 is 100% real.  Lt Col. Friend told this to me when I took him to dinner here in Lakewood near my home in 2011."

"That MAJI = Majority Agency for Joint Intelligence.  All information, disinformation and intelligence is gathered and evaluated by this agency.  This agency is responsible for all disinformation and operates in conjunction with the CIA, NSA, DIA and the Office of Naval Intelligence.  This is a very powerful organization and all alien projects are under its control.

MAJI is responsible only to MJ-12.  MAJIC is the security classification and clearance of all alien connected material, projects and information.X MAJIC means MAJI controlled (MAJI plus controlled + MAJIC).  The MJ-12 papers is a contingency plan to test the public's reaction to the information.  I have a friend who said this to me.  Majesty are the real one is they want to show the President. That's if they trust him.

Project Blue Book is regarded as the third UFO investigation project by the USAF. The first was Project Sign, which began in 1947, then Grudge, which ran from 1949 to 1951, and the final project, Blue Book, ran from 1951 to 1969.  

The files surrounding the investigation of the sightings are all included in the Project Blue Book files. That is, unless, as some suggest, there are secret investigations that the public still does not have access to. More information at Openmindstv.

According to Dr. Greer, Project Grudge Blue Book Report #13 is 100% real.

Report #13 contains three UFO cases.

1949 – Location: Boise – Idaho
1951 – Location: Orange – VA
1964 – Location: Summit – New Jersey

NASA Just Released The Largest Picture Ever Taken – And It’s Mind-Blowing

NASA recently released a 1.5 billion pixel image of the Andromeda galaxy, our nearest galactic neighbor, which contains over 100 million stars and spans more than 40,000 light years – and that’s just a section of the galaxy.

This image, created from a mosaic of 411 Hubble pictures, was then used by YouTuber daveachuk to create this incredible fly-through video. Combined with gorgeous music from the band Koda, it’s an awe-inspiring – and humbling – experience.

Mystery UFO spotted near International Space Station

A UFO has been spotted near the International Space Station in footage broadcast after astronauts evacuated part of the orbiting craft.

Alien spotters noticed a strange object disappear behind the ISS, reigniting bizarre claims that the space station is actually a place for aliens to come out hang out with humans.

Footage of the UFO was shown on the news channel CBS, sparking furious debate among online conspiracy nuts. It is not clear whether the film was stock footage, or taken from NASA's live feed.

Some claimed it showed a UFO entering the Earth's atmosphere, whilst others speculated that ET's friends in the emergency services might be on hand to help out the evacuating astronauts.

Space gazers are forever spotting strange objects near the ISS, though they are often explained away as space debris.           

NASA has also been accused of covering up existence of aliens, with conspiracy theorists claiming it cuts live video streams whenever a strange spacecraft floats into view.

Unfortunately for believers in extra-terrestrial life, the latest UFO could actually be anything from a weather balloon to a cloud or a blob of ice. It may even be earthbound, as it appears to be moving at the same speed as the planet.

Still, it's always nice to see a proper unidentified flying object - which is exactly what this is until NASA tells us otherwise.

Alien Mystery: The Most Famous Unexplained Alien Abduction Cases (Watch Video)

Reports on alien abductions and UFO sightings have always done the rounds, intriguing both the scientific world and lay men alike. The truth behind these abductions and sightings still remain a mystery but a few cases have got the scientific world thinking, if it really is true, what is the purpose behind these strange visits and what do they intend to do with the abductees.

These are the most famous cases of alien abductions.

1. The Antonio Villas Boas Abduction

This is the earliest case of alien abduction that happened in the 1950's. In Brazil a poor 23 year old farmer Antonio Villas Boas claimed to have seen a spacecraft, he continued seeing it until one night he stated that he was abducted. There was physical evidence on his body that revealed he was experimented on. He wrote of his experience to Brazilian journalist Joao Martins who writes about UFO's and had asked people through an ad in the newspaper to send in their experience.

Science mattered more than ever in 2013. Climate science questions raged after Super Typhoon Haiyan pummeled the Philippines. And scientific expertise figured in disarmament debates in Syria and in Iran's proposed halt to its nuclear activities.

Meanwhile, on the pure research front, investigators made plenty of intriguing discoveries in 2013. With plenty to choose from, and argue over, here's a top five list of some favorites from the year. And while you're at it, check out National Geographic's Year in Review.

1. Space gets more crowded.

"Buy land, they're not making it anymore," Mark Twain famously advised investors. Twain never heard of exoplanets, of course. Caltech researchers suggested this year that at least 100 billion such worlds orbit stars in our Milky Way galaxy. That's a lot of new real estate. (See "Smallest Exoplanets Found—Each Tinier Than Earth.")

Of course, not all of them are places you would want to live. A November analysis from NASA's Keck Observatory team suggested that one in five stars may have Earth-size planets orbiting in their "habitable zones"—zones that could be friendly to surface oceans. A more recent climate analysis of habitable zones said that number may be too high, but that is still plenty of planets.

2. Human embryonic stem cells cloned.

After more than a decade of false starts, Oregon Health and Science University researchers announced they had cloned human embryos and collected stem cells from them. They also grew the cells into specialized skin and heart cells, a first step toward using them in transplant medicine.

The key to the team's success turned out to be the addition of caffeine to the cloning process. Now researchers will seek to discover whether these cells or similar "induced" stem cells, made without embryos, will have the most medical use.

3. Voyager reaches edge of the solar wind.

One of the year's biggest announcements came from news that actually happened in 2012. The aftershocks of a pair of solar storms in September confirmed that NASA's venerable Voyager 1 spacecraft had actually entered interstellar space. (See "Voyager 1 Leaves Solar System, NASA Confirms.")

"It is an incredible event, to send the first human object into interstellar space," study lead author Donald Gurnett, of the University of Iowa in Iowa City, told National Geographic.

NASA had long been hoping to announce that the far-flung spacecraft, launched in 1977, had passed the edges of the solar wind. Voyager 1's twin, Voyager 2, is also expected to soon reach interstellar space.

4. Mars lake looks hospitable to ancient life.

NASA's Curiosity rover landed in the Martian crater known as Gale Crater, which is approximately the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined.

NASA's Curiosity rover continued to make historic tracks in 2013, finding that a vanished lake on the red planet could have supported life there more than three billion years ago.

The discovery is seen as vindication of NASA's efforts to look for past habitable conditions on Mars. The $2.5 billion rover next heads for Mount Sharp, in the center of Gale Crater, its original destination after landing. (See also: "Did Life on Earth Come From Mars?")

5. Lord of the Rings looking more like a documentary.

This skull's features resemble those of both earlier and later humans.

The human family tree suddenly sprouted some funky-looking shoots after a year of ancient DNA and fossil discoveries.

At the Dmanisi site in the Republic of Georgia, for example, researchers reported that what seemed like a lot of different-looking early human species likely were just one, Homo erectus. They based the claim on the discovery of a 1.8-million-year-old skull blessed with a mixture of more ancient and more recent characteristics. (See "Beautiful Skull Spurs Debate on Human History.")

On the genetic front, what looked like a Neanderthal bone in a Spanish cave turned out to actually possess the genes—the oldest DNA yet sequenced—of a different vanished early human species, the Denisovans.

Meanwhile, Siberia's Denisova cave, where Denisovan fossils were first discovered in 2008, yielded a toe bone that belonged to a Neanderthal woman from perhaps 140,000 years ago. (See "Ancient Incest Uncovered in Neanderthal Genome.")

This finding suggests that archaic humans mated with Homo erectus, as well as with some early modern humans in prehistory. A lot of modern people have a little archaic human in their genes, it turns out.

The discovery is seen as vindication of NASA's efforts to look for past habitable conditions on Mars. The $2.5 billion rover next heads for Mount Sharp, in the center of Gale Crater, its original destination after landing. (See also: "Did Life on Earth Come From Mars?")

This skull's features resemble those of both earlier and later humans.

The human family tree suddenly sprouted some funky-looking shoots after a year of ancient DNA and fossil discoveries.

At the Dmanisi site in the Republic of Georgia, for example, researchers reported that what seemed like a lot of different-looking early human species likely were just one, Homo erectus. They based the claim on the discovery of a 1.8-million-year-old skull blessed with a mixture of more ancient and more recent characteristics. (See "Beautiful Skull Spurs Debate on Human History.")

On the genetic front, what looked like a Neanderthal bone in a Spanish cave turned out to actually possess the genes—the oldest DNA yet sequenced—of a different vanished early human species, the Denisovans.

Meanwhile, Siberia's Denisova cave, where Denisovan fossils were first discovered in 2008, yielded a toe bone that belonged to a Neanderthal woman from perhaps 140,000 years ago. (See "Ancient Incest Uncovered in Neanderthal Genome.")

This finding suggests that archaic humans mated with Homo erectus, as well as with some early modern humans in prehistory. A lot of modern people have a little archaic human in their genes, it turns out.
