VIDEO: Mysterieuze vuurbal valt uit de lucht in hartje Bangkok

Inwoners van de Thaise hoofdstad Bangkok werden gisteren tijdens de ochtendspits opgeschrikt door een mysterieuze vuurbal met een spoor van rook. Op diverse plaatsen legden mensen vast hoe de vuurbal voorbijschoot.

Rond 08.41 uur lokale tijd zagen veel inwoners van de stad hoe de vuurbal door de lucht vloog en vervolgens ontplofte. Het verschijnsel veroorzaakte paniek omdat op de sociale media de meest wilde en uiteenlopende geruchten werden verspreid.

Er werd onder meer gezegd dat het ging om een vliegtuigcrash of een helikopter die was geraakt door een lichtbol. Een andere getuige liet weten dat het om een brandende ballon zou gaan. Er werd ook nog gedacht aan stukken van een oude satelliet.

Volgens de Thaise autoriteiten ging het om een meteoor. “Het is met enige zekerheid een grote rots die in onze atmosfeer is opgebrand,” zei Phil Plait, oud-lid van het Hubble Space Telescope Team van NASA. Zo’n vallende ster komt met een enorme snelheid de atmosfeer van de aarde binnen waardoor er een lichtspoor ontstaat.

De meteoor was waarschijnlijk al helemaal opgebrand voordat hij de grond kon bereiken. Voor zover bekend heeft de vuurbal geen schade aangericht. In 2013 raakten tenminste 1200 mensen gewond toen een meteoriet insloeg bij de Russische stad Tsjeljabinsk.

Wetenschappers zoeken naar tekenen dat we in een multiversum vol parallelle universa leven

Al jaren wordt het idee dat we in een multiversum – bestaande uit een oneindig aantal parallelle universa – leven gezien als een reële mogelijkheid.

Misschien ken je Schrödingers kat, een experiment uit de kwantummechanica. Een kat wordt in een doos opgesloten met een buisje waarin een radioactieve stof zit. Vervolgens wacht je een uur. Als er gedurende dat uur een deeltje van de stof vervalt, zal een sensor de straling opmerken en met een hamertje een flesje gif stukslaan. Dat kat zou dan sterven. Het is echter ook mogelijk dat er geen deeltje vervalt, waardoor het flesje gif intact blijft en de kat in leven blijft. Je weet niet welke van de twee scenario’s waar is, totdat je de deksel van de doos optilt.

Volgens de bizarre wetten van de kwantummechanica is de kat, zolang je de deksel niet optilt, zowel dood als levend. Wat als alle mogelijke scenario’s los van elkaar bestaan in verschillende universa van een multiversum?

Versnelde expansie

Het heelal maakte in het begin een korte periode van versnelde expansie door, kosmologische inflatie genoemd. Deze hypothese voorspelt dat er andere delen van het universum moeten zijn die nog steeds versneld uitdijen. Door de kwantumfluctuaties van de ruimtetijd bereiken sommige delen van het heelal nooit het eindstadium van inflatie.

Sommige delen kunnen zich afsplitsen en andere universa vormen, die ook weer andere universa kunnen vormen, enzovoorts. Het gevolg is een oneindig aantal universa. Door dit scenario te combineren met de snaartheorie ontstaat de mogelijkheid dat in al deze universa verschillende natuurkundige wetten gelden.

Snaartheorie

In de snaartheorie worden deeltjes voorgesteld als minuscule, trillende snaartjes. De manier waarop zo’n snaartje trilt, bepaalt wat voor deeltje het is. Daarmee is het een theorie die alle deeltjes en krachten herleidt tot één principe. Deze theorie vereist tenminste zes of zeven extra ruimtelijke dimensies. Die zouden op heel kleine schaal zijn opgerold, waardoor we er gewoonlijk niets van merken.

Universa die worden voorgesteld door de snaartheorie en inflatie bestaan in dezelfde fysieke ruimte en kunnen elkaar overlappen en met elkaar in botsing komen. Die botsingen laten mogelijk sporen achter waar we naar kunnen zoeken.

Dat is precies wat wetenschappers momenteel doen. Ze zoeken ernaar in de kosmische achtergrondstraling en in de vorm van zwaartekrachtsgolven, fluctuaties in de kromming van de ruimtetijd. Dergelijke golven kunnen het bestaan van inflatie bewijzen en ondersteunen daarmee het idee van een multiversum.

Wetenschappers ontdekken tweede Stonehenge: “Grootste prehistorische monument in Groot-Brittannië”

Het mysterie van Stonehenge wordt nog een stuk vreemder. Wetenschappers hebben op drie kilometer van het monument nog eens 100 grote blokken gevonden die begraven liggen onder de grond.

De BBC spreekt van ‘het grootste prehistorische monument in Groot-Brittannië’. De belangrijke vondst is zondag bekendgemaakt door wetenschappers van de Universiteit van Bradford. Aan de rand van de Durrington Walls, een muur van aarde, vonden ze zo’n 100 stenen op ongeveer een meter onder de grond.

Stonehenge II (Ludwig Boltzmann Institute)

Het gaat om reusachtige stenen die tot wel 4,5 meter groot zijn. De stenen, die tot nu toe ‘verloren waren voor de archeologie’, staan niet in een cirkel opgesteld, maar liggen in een rij. Gedacht wordt dat de stenen net als bij Stonehenge een religieuze betekenis hebben. De lijn komt namelijk overeen met de baan van de zon tijdens de winterzonnewende. Stonehenge is ook gebouwd naar de stand van de zon. Tijdens de zomer- en winterwende schijnt de zon precies tussen de stenen door.

De wetenschappers staan voor een raadsel. “De vindplaats is helemaal nieuw voor ons en ook de schaal is ongekend,” zeiden ze. “We denken niet dat er ooit al zoiets is ontdekt in de wereld.”

De stenen zijn gevonden met behulp van radartechnologie. Zo’n 4500 jaar geleden bevond zich een belangrijke nederzetting in het gebied. Vandaag de dag is alleen nog de enorme aarden wal zichtbaar.

Apollo 11 and UFO encounters: What Astronauts have to say

Apollo 11 has surely given us a lot to talk about ever since the historic moment a Saturn V rocket launched from the  Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida, on July 16. ?Ufologists suggest that Apollo 11 traveled to the moon followed by numerous unidentified flying objects that were seen by the three members: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.

 

In the book "Celestial Raise" written by Richard Watson, ASSK, 1987 there are some very interesting details which have led conspiracy theorists to suggest an otherworldly encounter took place on the surface of the moon, during the two minutes of silence while the astronauts were on the moon:

 

"During the transmission of the Moon landing of Armstrong and Aldrin, who journeyed to the Moon in an American spaceship, two minutes of silence occurred in which the image and sound were interrupted. NASA insisted that this problem was the result of one of the television cameras which had overheated, thus interfering with the reception

 

 

This unexpected problem surprised even the most qualified of viewers who were unable to explain how in such a costly project, one of the most essential elements could break down... Some time after the historic Moon landing, Christopher Craft, director of the base in Houston, made some surprising comments when he left NASA.

 

Ufologist and writer Timothy Good suggests that HAM radio operators receiving the VHF signals directly picked up the following message which was screened by NASA from the public.

 

 

Mission Control: What's there ? Mission Control calling Apollo 11.

Apollo 11: These babies are huge, sir ... enormous....Oh, God, you wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other space craft out there... lined up on the far side of the crater edge... they're on the moon watching us.

 

NASA has always denied that an encounter of any kind took place and that everything said is an elaborate hoax. Interestingly, in his book "RETURN TO EARTH" Colonel Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. writes the following on pages 223-224;

 

In the middle of one evening, Houston time, I found myself idly staring out the window of the Columbia and saw something that looked a bit unusual. It appeared brighter than any star and not quite the pinpoints of light that stars are. I pointed this out to Mike and Neil, and the three of us were beset with curiosity. With the help of the monocular we guessed that whatever it was, it was only a hundred or so miles away. Looking at it through our sextant we found it occasionally formed a cylinder, but when the sextant's focus was adjusted it had a sort of illuminated "L" look to it. It had a shape of some sort -- we all agreed on that -- but exactly what it was we couldn't pin down. We asked Houston some casual questions: "How far away is the Saturn third stage?" The response was in the vicinity of six thousand miles. That wasn't it.

 

It could possibly have been one of the panels of the Saturn third stage which fly off to expose the LM and cannot be traced from earth. We could see it for about forty-five seconds at a time as the ship rotated, and we watched it on and off for about an hour. We debated whether or not to tell the ground we had spotted something, and decided against it. Our reason was simple: The UFO people would descend on the message in hordes, setting off another rash of UFO spotting back on earth. We concluded it was most likely on of the panels. Its course appeared in no way to conflict with ours, and it presented no danger. We dropped the matter there.

 

 

Is it possible that Apollo 11 witnessed an encounter with otherworldly beings as many suggest? And is it possible that official transcripts speak about Aliens and UFO's on the surface of the moon? These questions are likely to remain an enigma but we have to accept the fact that Astronauts such as Colonel Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. firmly believe we are not the only species in the universe and that something mysterious could have occurred on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

ALIEN ABDUCTION ~ FACT OR FICTION?

If the figures are to be believed, up to 4 million people have been abducted by aliens in the US, with many millions more captured world wide. Although the existence of human hungry aliens might be impossible to disprove per se, it is unlikely that extra-terrestrials could manage such mass kidnappings without being commonly noticed. This suggests that there are many people who falsely believe they have been seized by creatures from outer-space, perhaps after experiencing unusual and bizarre phenomena. The purpose of this article is to communicate some of the recent research in psychology and neuroscience that gives us some clues as to how and why these experiences and beliefs occur.

Some of the many thousands of people who claim to have been abducted are likely to be fortune seekers, bar-room braggers, publicity hounds and maybe even some genuine abductees. Yet with the high numbers of people reporting abductions, many of the people who believe they have been captured will likely have been mistaken.

The History of Abductions

Yes there are signs of crafts being seen in the sky and alien contact in ancient text, but without knowledge as to what these hieroglyphs, paintings etc actually symbolize or mean we will stay away from ancient astronaut theories and look at recorded history.

The First reported Sighting to make Print!

In the November 27, 1896 edition of the Stockton, California Daily Mail, Colonel H. G. Shaw claimed he and a friend were harassed by three tall, slender humanoids whose bodies were covered with a fine, downy hair who tried to kidnap the pair.

Colonel H. G. Shaw, along with his friend Camille Spooner, had a close encounter with previously unknown entities.

Shaw was in charge of putting together an exhibition to be displayed at a Fair in Fresno.

Shaw and friend were traveling by horse and carriage in route to Stockton, when their horse froze with fright.

To the two men’s shock, they saw the cause of the horse’s actions; three tall alien looking beings with small delicate hands at the end of their spindly arms stood by the road. They had no hair on their heads, yet a soft, light fuzz over their bodies. Large eyes made their small mouths and ears appear even smaller.

The two eyewitnesses would later tell authorities that the beings had a “strange” type of beauty to them.

All of the beings carried with them a bag of some kind with a hose which they often stuck in their mouths, obviously to breath with. Although there was still some daytime left, the beings also carried with them egg-shaped lamps which glowed. This glow would later illuminate a waiting spaceship.

As the men watched the aliens, the beings were communicating with each other by a type of chant, as no English words were heard by Shaw and Spooner. The men would tell authorities that the aliens made an attempt to abduct them, but that the large difference in mass between the human and alien body thwarted the effort.

Soon, the three alien beings made a move toward a nearby bridge. Using their other worldly lamps, the aliens lighted up the bridge, showing a nearby craft. The UFO was of a cigar shape, and it hovered quietly over the water.

The beings seemed to be almost lighter than air as they moved toward their craft. It seemed that the aliens would almost leave the ground as they walked on the earth.

The beings entered the hovering cigar UFO in a most unconventional way also. They sprung up from the ground and above their craft, and then floated down into the craft through an unseen entry. Soon, the object flew away.

Then in the 1940s and ’50s.

The Space Age was upon us, and sci-fi literature was soaring in popularity with human-alien encounters a recurring theme. In July 1946, “Planet Comics” ran a strip in which aliens used a luminous tractor beam to kidnap a voluptuous female earthling, whom they called Specimen 9. They tell her the abduction is part of “Project Survival,” and as they steer their spaceship toward what looks like Saturn, the leader remarks, “Now home. And if you find our methods ruthless, Specimen 9, it is because our needs are desperate.”

Likewise, in 1954, a comic strip appearing in the British tabloid The Daily Express detailed the alien abduction of a Royal Air Force pilot. Dozens of other abduction stories graced the pages of sci-fi novels and comic books.

June 24, 1947 The Kenneth Arnold Incident

Kenneth Arnold, a businessman, was flying his private plane near Mount Rainier in Washington State when he saw nine shining discs moving against the background of the mountain. He estimated their speed as about 1,000 mph. He said that they swerved in and out of the peaks of the Cascade Mountains with “flipping, erratic movements.” He later told a reporter that the objects moved as a saucer would “if you skipped it across the water.” The next day the story appeared in newspapers all over the nation, calling the strange objects “flying saucers.” Hundreds of people soon began reporting sightings of flying saucers, and a US Air Force investigation was initiated; on 4 July, ten days after the sighting, the US Air Force announced confidently that Arnold had been “hallucinating.”

1953 Hunrath and Wilkinson Disappearance

The 1950s was a time of major UFO activity but it was also a time in UFO history known by a group of persons known as “UFO contactees”. These individuals claimed to have made contact with the alien occupants of the flying saucers. For some these contacts were face to face, for others the communications were telepathic. Some claimed to have been given rides on alien spacecraft. Most of the mainstream UFO organizations of the time gave little credence to the contactees, and believed most to be hoaxers or people suffering from delusions. One of the most famous contactees was George Adamski.

George Adamski was born in Poland and immigrated to the US at a young age. By the 1930s, he was living in California as a sort of guru practicing “Universal Progressive Christianity”. He set up a small observatory at a restaurant “Palomar Gardens” below the famous Mount Palomar Observatory. By the early 1950s, Adamski was taking photographs of flying saucers with his telescope and writing science fiction and articles about the occult. On November 20, 1952, Adamski reportedly met an angelic looking man named Orthon who emerged from a landed flying saucer, claiming to be from Venus. During this encounter at the base of the Coxcomb Mountains, not far from Desert Center, California, Adamski was accompanied by six people who were told by Adamski to stay behind while he made the contact with Orthon.

After this encounter, Adamski attracted a small group of followers. One of these was Karl Hunrath, a electrical engineer, who had invented “Bosco” a device which was intended to bring down flying saucers. After a dispute with Adamski, Hunrath moved away from Palomar Gardens and rented an apartment in Los Angeles with Jerrold Baker, a handyman at Palomar Gardens who had also had a falling out with Adamski.

Karl Hunrath was soon working as a radio technician. In June 1953, a old friend of Hunrath’s from Racine, Wisconsin, Wilbur J. Wilkinson, arrived in Los Angeles with his wife and three children. Wilkinson, a co-inventor of Bosco, had left his job as a foreman at an electrical appliance plant, to join Hunrath in his efforts to see a flying saucer and meet an alien.

The two men developed an interest in channeling aliens, meeting other contactees and using psychic techniques and mechanical contractions to communicate with the “Maserians”, beings who allegedly lived on the moon.

On or about November 10, 1953, Karl Hunrath made phone calls to several associates telling them that some people had left Earth for other planets and that no one should be surprised if this might happen to him. On November 11, 1953, Hunrath and Wilkinson rented a small plane at Gardina County Airport near Los Angeles. With three hours of fuel, one hour paid rental, and no filed flight plan, Hunrath flew off with his passenger Wilkinson with the likely intent to meet a grounded saucer which they apparently presumed would take them to Maser, Venus or some other off-Earth populated celestial body.

Apparently to this day, no trace of the aircraft or the two men has been found. Most people presume that Hunrath, an inexperienced pilot, probably crashed somewhere in the mountainous terrain east of Los Angeles. If this is so, the aircraft wreckage may be out there still.

Wilbur J Wilkinson, provided this script, claiming it was from a race using the moon as a way-station for its people from the planet Maser.

NOTE: Adamski was quoted as saying “I made enough wine for all of Southern California…I was making a fortune!” However, the end of Prohibition also marked the decline of his profitable wine-making business, and Adamski later told two friends that’s when he “had to get into this [flying] saucer crap.

Antonio Villas Boas Abduction Case

In 1957, a Brazilian writer named João Martins penned the first installment of a series titled “Flying Saucers’ Terrible Mission” for the magazine O Cruzeiro. “There he describes cases of people in isolated places attacked by small alien beings”.

Martins also asked his readers to write him with their own experiences. Among hundreds of responses, he selected one of a young farmer from Minas Gerais with whom he exchanged several letters.

The next year, Martins paid for the 23-year-old farmer to come to Rio de Janeiro, where he was examined by Dr. Olavo Fontes. The farmer’s name was Antonio Villas Boas, and he claimed to have been abducted by aliens one day after reading Martin’s article?

The story got out. Walter Buhler of the Brazilian ufology group SBEDV, and a follower of the self-described alien contactee George Adamski, learned about Vilas Boas’ story, and in 1962, Buhler visited the young farmer in his hometown. The SBEDV subsequently published a report on the Villas Boas case in English, and the account aligned with Adamski’s earlier descriptions of aliens and their spaceships. In January 1965, an international journal called the Flying Saucer Review reproduced Buhler’s report worldwide.

Villas Boas was working the fields at night to avoid the scorching temperatures of the day, when he saw the red light of a spaceship; it slowly approached him and landed nearby in a field. Villas Boas tried to escape but was captured by small humanoid creatures, which dragged him into their craft.

The aliens conducted a series of experiments on their captive, including taking samples of his body tissue, exposing him to a gas that made him violently ill, and compelling him to have sexual intercourse with a female alien, who was, Villas Boas said, very attractive, with blonde hair and blue, cat-like eyes.

A few details hint that the story was fabricated or imagined. “If you read Villas Boas’ account you may notice the advanced aliens nonetheless used rope ladders. Moreover, “Villas Boas’ original sketch of the alien spaceship, with three legs, looks remarkably like the drawings of Sputnik-1, often depicted with three of its four antennas showing. The Sputnik surely was the talk of the time in 1957 when Villas Boas was supposedly abducted — or imagined his story.”

The Betty and Barney Hill Case

Widespread publicity was generated by the Betty and Barney Hill abduction case of 1961, culminating in a made-for-television film broadcast in 1975 (starring James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons) dramatizing the events. The Hill incident was probably the prototypical abduction case and was perhaps the first in which the claimant described beings that later became widely known as the Greys and in which the beings were said to explicitly identify an extraterrestrial origin.

The Hills were an interracial couple in the 1960s, and the exhibit discusses Barney Hill’s civil rights activism. However, the couple is best known for giving the first reported incident of an alleged alien abduction in America.

Today, due to television shows and films, the scenario is familiar: UFOs chase down terrified witnesses on a desolate road and take them onto the spaceship to ask them questions or probe them in awkward places.

It began one night when Barney and Betty Hill claimed they were pursued by a glowing UFO through parts of New Hampshire. Betty soon had vivid nightmares (which she interpreted as fragmented memories) about the incident, and the couple came to believe that they had been abducted by the UFO’s occupants, who then erased their memories. The couple sought the help of a psychiatrist, and under hypnosis both Hills soon reported full-blown, detailed “repressed memories” of their abduction.

The Barney and Betty Hill story was celebrated as the most important UFO-related event in the 1960s, and spun into a media sensation. Their experiences became fodder for many magazine articles, books, and a made-for-TV film called “The UFO Incident.” Betty became a UFO celebrity, giving media appearances and writing a book about her story.

As the years passed, however, the story lost its gloss and most realize it to be a hoax.

No other witnesses could support their account, parts of it were implausible, and the validity of “repressed memories” was called into question. Betty Hill’s own reported experiences cast doubt on her credibility. In the decades since her original 1961 experience with her husband Barney, Betty claimed not a few, nor dozens, but hundreds of UFO sightings.

Though UFO investigators desperately wanted to believe her, that became more difficult. One UFO researcher who worked with Betty noted that she was “unable to distinguish between a landed UFO and a streetlight.” In other words, she saw UFOs where none existed.

Even many UFO believers reluctantly admit that much of Betty Hill’s experiences and stories cannot be true and instead are likely imaginative fantasies of a sincere but confused woman. With little or no corroborating evidence and no eyewitnesses to support their remarkable story, the Barney and Betty Hill abduction case is, as often happens, inconclusive at best and a complete fabrication at worst.

If the Witnesses are not hoaxers or scammers then what else explains these experiences?

Sleep paralysis
Awareness during sleep paralysis is a common explanation for this confusion, most probably as abduction experiences and conscious sleep paralysis attacks often share many of the same features, such as waking whilst unable to move, feelings of fear, dread or unease and a feeling of pressure on the body. Normal sleep paralysis happens when the body enters the REM stage of the sleep cycle. The brain stem blocks movement signals that would normally travel from the brain to the muscles, probably to stop us carrying out the movements we dream about doing. The frightening aspect of this occurs when a sleeper awakens, becomes conscious, but who’s movement control is not reinstated by the brain. This state can also be accompanied by what are known as ‘hypnopompic’ hallucinations which occur naturally to many people whilst awakening. These hallucinations can take the form of voices, lights, figures or any number of strange bodily sensations. It is little wonder that when combined with fearful paralysis such uncanny experiences might be interpreted as alien in origin.

Temporal lobe disturbance
Another commonly cited source of internal spookiness are the temporal lobes of the brain. Electrical stimulation of the surface of the temporal lobes (usually done on an awake patient when they are undergoing brain surgery) can produce unusual auditory sensations. Similarly, Michael Persinger, a Canadian scientist, has produced strange sensations in his research participants by using magnets to influence temporal lobe function from outside the skull. Such sensations have included feelings of a ‘presence’, disorientation and fear. It would seem unlikely that a possible abductee would fail to notice if someone placed large magnets near his or her head (or even that they were subject to brain surgery !) before the ‘abduction’ experience. However, similar effects can be caused by epileptic or similar seizures in the temporal lobes. Many epilepsy sufferers who have temporal lobe seizures report mystical experiences, missing time, out of body feelings or even strange smells or ‘atmospheres’ prior to, during or after a seizure. It must be remembered that not all forms of epilepsy cause dramatic shaking of the body, and many simply result in brief lapses of consciousness or experiences such as those noted above. This leads us to wonder whether disturbances in the temporal lobes may also contribute to experiences which some people may interpret as an alien abduction.

Mental illness
Surprisingly, overt mental illness may be one of the least likely explanations for abduction experiences. Research has previously suggested that alien contactees are no more likely to show signs of mental illness than the general population, a finding which has been backed up by several other studies. However, many features once thought present only in mental illness have now been discovered to be held by much of the population. If we look at the healthy population as a whole, these features seem to exist on a continuum with some people reporting anomalous thoughts and feelings or having certain traits more than others. In this vein, it seems people who report themselves as abductees are more likely to endorse unusual experiences, be creative and imaginative, have depressive ideas, be suspicious, have dissociative tendencies and to have suffered childhood trauma. So whilst it seems unlikely that the bizarre experiences reported by most ‘abductees’ stem from severe mental illness (which can produce equally bizarre and seemingly real experiences) it is certainly the case that this group has characteristics that differentiate them from the general population. It is possible that these dispositions may increase the tendency for them to explain an anomalous experience in terms of alien contact.

Memory distortion
Our memories are often infuriatingly fallible, leading us to forget information we want to remember, remember information we’d rather forget, or often confidently recall something that later turns out to be inaccurate. A recent study has investigated memory distortions in people claiming to have been subject to alien capture. Participants in the study were read several lists of similarly themed words then given tests of recall and recognition. The results of the study indicated that ‘abductees’ were able to remember words from the original list as well as ‘non-abductees’, but tended to show a higher rate of recall and recognition for words that were never actually read out in the first place. This suggests that the ‘abductees’ are more likely to misidentify the source of memories, perhaps suggesting that some elements of their abduction experience may have been culled from other sources such as the media or their own imagination.

This effect may also work retrospectively, allowing people to co-opt previous memories to support an abduction account. An early memory study conducted by Frederic Bartlett demonstrated that we reconstruct memories as they are recalled to create a coherent story. This reconstruction takes place using cultural references that give us a frame on which to hang the various remembered experiences. The alien abduction experience is well known to almost everyone, due to the popularity of shows such as the X-Files, and famous cases which have hit the headlines. This may give some people a cultural framework on which they can hang memories from a bizarre, unusual or traumatic experience. Unfortunately it is even the case that naïve or even unscrupulous therapists may push alien abduction as a explanation for a bizarre experience that a client may have undergone. Many examples of therapists willing to use hypnotic regression, a technique noted for its tendency to cause false recall, to recover abduction experiences can be found on the internet. Perhaps giving an off-the-shelf explanation for strange experiences that the brain is quite capable of generating, without the need for extra-terrestrial intervention.

Conclusion
It would certainly be foolish to discount the possibility of anything unlikely, simply because of its improbability. Yet we must also remember that we can often find explanations for anomalous experience within ourselves. As the old doctor’s adage goes ‘When you hear hoof beats, start by thinking horses not zebras’. This would seem to work as well for zebras as it does for visitors from outer-space.

Russia’s ‘Alien Friends’ (Or Enemies) Seen Above The Baltic Sea?

Could it be that either the Extra-terrestrials are keeping an extra close eye on Mr Putin at the moment, or could it be true what many people have suggested before, that Putin ‘works with the Aliens’?  Either way this is a very interesting capture and yet to be confirmed by ANYBODY as to what these UFO’s are.

Clearly we cannot yet confirm exactly what these strange objects in the sky are, but one thing is for sure they have got many people talking all around the world, and not just Russia, asking “just what are these UFO’s hovering above the Baltic Sea on Russia’s western edge?”

It has been suggested by fellow UFO researcher Scott Waring ufosightingsdaily.com  that:|

“When the sun is setting, the light that bends around the cloak will no longer work for a few minutes,” wrote Scott C. Waring from ufosightingsdaily.com.

“This is why so many are seen during this time of the day,” he wrote.

If these really are crafts from another world, then Scott’s theory could be a 100% correct and that these particular crafts ‘cloaking’ devices no longer worked for a short period of time!? This could possibly explain how they simply ‘vanished’ into thin air straight after being seen in the sky.

Strange glimmering lights were spotted in the sky above the Baltic Sea – are aliens among us?

The intriguing video was supposedly recorded on  August 5, 2015, before being put onto YouTube for the world to see.  Still as of yet to have been debunked by anybody!  However some researchers have stated that this could be some kind of new Russian weapon of war ~ or perhaps it is just some ‘swamp gas’ out on a jolly over the coast of Russian.

U.I.P SUMMARY – It’s interesting how a councillor in Whitby, North Yorkshire UK, has recently blamed hostilities in troubled eastern Ukraine on a group of alien reptiles he calls the ‘Nordics.’  This coming from a leading politician who has made many interesting comments about Extra-terrestrials influence on Planet earth – could it be that this man who has been mocked heavily for his beliefs, is in fact right in what he is saying!? It is also interesting how the Russians recently claimed that they can now predict when UFOs will appear in the skies above them and that they have now learnt how to willingly summon them! The Russians have also claimed that UFO activity isincreased when large scale weapons testing is taking place, of which they have been measuring UFO activity by doing so!

According to Vasily Yeremenko, a Major General of FIB in reserve, academician of the Academy of Security, Defence and Law Enforcement:

“We can say that we learned to summon UFOs in Vladimirovka. To do this, we dramatically increased the number of military flights and movement of the equipment. If the intensity on our side increased, UFOs appeared with the probability of 100 percent.”Vasily Yeremenko

Perhaps the Russians are working with the Aliens in order to combat the elite and their New World Order plans – but who are we to start a conspiracy like that

Strange UFO filmed in the sky over Sunshine Coast, Australia

A man has captured the moment he spotted an unidentified object in the sky near his home on the Sunshine Coast on September 9, 2015.

Joshua Ross seen the white glow in the sky above a house and filmed it on his phone.

Soshua: “It would go up one direction and then shoot back the other direction and then it just disappeared.”

Astronomers explained the object was most likely a small meteor and the hovering effect was due to the cloud cover but I doubt if it was really a meteor because if you look closely at the start of the video and at around the 0.08 mark, you'll see that the orb changes into a doughnut-shaped orb. Then it changes again into an orb and disappears at high speed.

UFO Files: Are You On The List?( Pt. 1)

Is it just paranoia to suspect that agencies of government might take an interest in you for researching and writing about UFOs? Well, no, actually, it’s not. Not at all. The Freedom of Information Acts (FOIA) of more than a few nations have demonstrated time and again that, yes, elements of the UFO research community have been watched. And not just for years, but for decades. It’s very important to keep things in perspective, however. And I’ll explain exactly what I mean by that.

 

On more than a few occasions, a UFO researcher who we can prove has been the subject of official files, has also spent time digging into other potentially sensitive areas that might attract the attention of agencies of government, the military, and/or the intelligence community. This is an issue I wrote about extensively in my 2006 book, On the Trail of the Saucer Spies. It’s worth noting, however, that a great deal more (and relevant) data has surfaced since the publication of my book, and which demonstrates how and why they watch us.

 

Certainly, the lengthiest FOIA files are those on the Contactees of the 1950s. Or, it may be more accurate to say that I’m talking about the lengthiest files currently in the public domain. Admittedly, we don’t know the full extent of what still goes on behind closed doors. But, what we can say for sure is that both George Adamski and George Van Tassel were the subjects of extensive investigations by the FBI. Was it because J. Edgar Hoover wanted to know if long-haired Venusians were really visiting the Earth? Or if fellow Contactee, Truman Bethurum, got down and dirty with a hot space-babe named Aura Rhanes? Nope.

 

George Adamski

 

Bear in mind the time-frame: it was in the early 1950s that most of the surveillance of Adamski took place. This was the period of McCarthyism and “Reds under the beds” scares. And who was loudly claiming that his hippie-like space-buddies were dreaded commies? George Adamski, that’s who. He was saying it to sizable audiences, too. And let’s not forget the thousands of people who read his books. Adamski also stated that communism was the way of the future and that Russia was destined to dominate the world. The completely understandable concerns the FBI had about Adamski revolved around not what he claimed to know about UFOs, but of the possibility that he was using the flying saucer phenomenon as a means to spread communism. In that sense, it would be amazing if there wasn’t a file on Adamski!

 

As for George Van Tassel, the FBI had a more cordial relationship with him – and probably because while working at Hughes Aircraft in the 1940s, Van Tassel helped FBI agent Walter Bott on a number of investigations. Yes, the FBI visited Van Tassel on a few occasions and asked him to do describe his experiences with the Space-Brothers. The files, however, show that the FBI was particularly interested in the fact that many of Van Tassel’s lectures focused on controversial matters relative to atomic weapons (and the dangers they posed), religion, and the economy.

 

Files declassified via UK FOIA laws show that, close to 60 years ago, the UK Police Force’s Special Branch took an interest in a famous Contactee named George King (of Aetherius Society fame). While Special Branch concluded that King was – and I quote – “obviously a crank,” its personnel took far more than a passing interest in King’s political stance. A declassified Special Branch document of May 7, 1958 states:

 

“Since 1st June 1957, the date of the last report about the Aetherius Society, this organisation has remained active in its campaign against nuclear weapon tests, and in this respect its policy is closely allied with that of the Communist Party. However, there is still no evidence of open communist association with the Society.”

 

It doesn’t take a genius to see what was going through the minds of Special Branch staff. Here was a man, who had a degree of prominence, and who was speaking out against the British Government’s stance on atomic weapons. Special Branch’s “crank” comments show that it was not UFOs – directly – that concerned the police. It was the political nature of the cosmic, brotherly message King was spreading that bothered them and which led them to compile a 40-page dossier on the man.

 

 

Then there’s the infamous (and alleged) UFO crash at Aztec, New Mexico in March 1948. This notorious affair – a “little brother” to Roswell, one might say – attracted the FBI’s attention to a notable degree. But not so much because of the crash. Or the hoax, depending on your perspective. The reason was because two of the key players in the story were Silas Newton (whose FBI file you can find here) and Leo Gebauer. The G-Men were knew exactly who they were, and were far from impressed by either man. Which is hardly surprising.

 

Newton had a long history of controversial deals. The words “mining swindle” and “under indictment” leap out of the FBI’s files on Newton. As for Gebauer, in 1941, as FBI records show, he referred to Adolf Hitler as nothing less than “a swell fellow.” He added that the United States would benefit from having “two men” to run the country, in much the same way that Hitler ruled Germany. And he called the Brits “a dirty bunch of rats.” Something which would have led me to give Gebauer a good kicking and a few precisely delivered punches had I been around back then.

 

So, yes, we have a situation where FBI agents very closely monitored both Newton and Gebauer. And at the height of the Aztec UFO affair, too. But, who can blame the FBI? After all, both men were up to their necks in controversy, as well as things that were so shady you would imagine the pair lived under a permanent solar eclipse!

Did Ancient Aliens Impart Advanced Astronomical Knowledge to the Dogon Tribe?

The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge. In “Beyond Science” Epoch Times collects stories about these strange phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed of possibilities. Are they true? You decide.

Skeptics and proponents of the ancient aliens theory have faced off for decades on the issue of the Dogon tribe’s allegedly advanced astronomical knowledge.

Here’s a look at some of the arguments on both sides concerning this tribe from Mali, Africa, and its purported knowledge of the motions of a star not visible on Earth without modern telescopes. 

What The Dogon Are Said to Have Known

Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and had a prominent place in many ancient cultures. Sirius, which is about 8.7 light years from Earth, has a white dwarf companion star, Sirius B. Sirius B cannot be seen with the naked eye, and astronomers first guessed at its existence in the 1830s. They mathematically developed a theoretical model of its orbit around Sirius (now referred to as Sirius A) later in the 19th century.

The astronomers knew that Sirius B must be made of a super dense matter, but the specifics were beyond their comprehension until quantum physics helped explain it in 1926. In 1894, irregularities in the movement of Sirius B led astronomers to consider that a third star, Sirius C, may exist and exert an influence on Sirius B’s orbit. It is still a matter of debate whether Sirius C exists or not.

The Dogon are said to have known all of this centuries before Western astronomers began contemplating it. For them, Sirius is a three-star system. They allegedly accurately describe Sirius B: they say it is a companion star for Sirius that is invisible from Earth, that it has a 50-year orbital period, that it travels around Sirius A along an elliptical path, and it is made of a heavy substance not found on Earth.

The Dogon are also said to have understood that the Earth and other planets rotate on their axes, that they orbit the sun, that Jupiter has four moons, and that Saturn has a ring around it.

An article by NASA’s Chandra observatory stated: “Carl Sagan commented in his book, ‘Broca’s Brain,’ the conclusion about planetary orbits, though a rare insight, is one that can be achieved without high technology, as demonstrated by some Greeks and Copernicus. As for the moons of Jupiter, and Saturn’s ring, with a combination of extraordinary eyesight and perfectly clear skies, it just might be possible to see them without a telescope.”

Could The Dogon Have Somehow Seen Sirius B Themselves?

But skeptics and ancient aliens proponents generally seem to agree that the Dogon could not have observed Sirius B or its orbit around Sirius A themselves.

The only way Sirius B would have been visible to the Dogon (and all other cultures) is if it were a red giant a few thousand years ago, according to Liam McDaid, an astronomy professor at Sacramento City College and a senior scientist for non-profit organization The Skeptic Society. If this were the case, anyone could have easily observed both Sirius A and Sirius B in action. Some say the ancients indeed described Sirius as a red giant.

But, McDaid explained [highlight]in an article[/highlight] written for the society: “One problem with this idea is that Sirius B has been a white dwarf for at least tens of thousands of years. If Sirius B had been a red giant only a few thousand years ago, there would still be a bright and noticeable planetary nebula around it today. No such nebula is seen.”

“The second problem is that ancient writers seemed to use color for stars in a way different from the way that we do (they described Pollux, Arcturus, and Capella as ‘red’—a modern observer would call them yellow-orange, orange, and yellow, respectively).

“And finally, even if Sirius B had been a visible red giant a few thousand years ago, how would the Dogon know that Sirius B was still there after it became a white dwarf?”

McDaid concluded, as did famed astronomer Carl Sagan, that the Dogon’s knowledge of Sirius B must have come from an advanced culture. Sagan and McDaid said it must have come from modern Western culture, others say this is unlikely.

What are the Chances of Receiving the Knowledge From Western Contact?

The theory that the Dogon possessed this advanced knowledge of Sirius B is based on the anthropological accounts of Dr. Germaine Dieterlen, the Secretary General of the Société des Africainistes at the Musée de l’Homme in Paris, and Dr. Marcel Griaule who visited the tribe together in the 1930s.

Robert Temple’s book “The Sirius Mystery,” published in 1976, popularized the ancient aliens theory as an explanation of the Dogon’s knowledge. He refuted the arguments given by Sagan for why the Dogon may have gained the astronomical knowledge through contact with the Western world.

In an open letter to Sagan, written in 1981, Temple stated: “As [Dr. Dieterlen] has spent most of her life living with the Dogon and knows them and their traditions more intimately than anyone else alive, her opinion on a possible Western origin for the Sirius traditions of the Dogon is of the highest importance. She answers such suggestions with a single word: ‘Absurd!’”

During an interview for a BBC special, she had shown a 400-year-old Dogon artifact representing the three stars of the Sirius system. This part was edited out of the American broadcast, Temple said, which may be why American skeptics have overlooked this evidence and Dieterlen’s testimony.

In a sober and lucid interview for a rather bizarre show, “Talk Psychic,” Temple stated: “If you ask the Dogon, they will tell you, and that’s what nobody else wants to hear. They say that their ancestors were given the information from visitors from the system of the star Sirius.”

Temple said the knowledge of the Sirius system is pervasive in Dogon culture, “embodied in … hundreds or thousands of objects, symbols, woven blankets, carved statues, et cetera.” He thinks it is impossible that the knowledge could have seeped into the culture so quickly from the time Western astronomers made these discoveries to the the time Dieterlen and Griaule began their research in 1931.

“And how these hundreds or thousands of objects are meant to have been expertly fabricated fakes purporting to be centuries old … baffles me even more,” he continued. “It is considerations like these and many more (such as the tribal sacredness of the tradition making it unlikely that it could have come from Western intruders who would not have been highly regarded or in the confidence of the meticulous and traditional priests) which lead Dr. Dieterlen to reject the suggestion of Western origins as ‘absurd.’”

Griaule has been criticized for using leading questions and planting the astronomical knowledge in the Dogon, while Griaule’s daughter Genevieve Calame-Griaule has also criticized van Beek’s methods. It is unclear whether changes in the Dogon since the 1930s may account for van Beek’s findings.

The Dogon’s contact with Western society, with people who would have known of the astronomer’s discoveries, was limited in the 19th century into the early 20th century. But, some interaction did occur, so it is not impossible that they came into contact with the information this way. Even if they did, however, is it possible they already had this understanding of the Sirius system?

ET Genetic Code May Be Found In Human DNA, According To Kazakhstan Scientists’ Biological SETI Theory

For those of us who wonder if earthlings are the only intelligent species in the Milky Way and beyond, try this theory on for size:

Two scientists in Kazakhstan believe humans may have an extraterrestrial “stamp” embedded into our genetic code, a mathematical message that would not be explained by Darwin’s theory of biological evolution.

The scientists are suggesting that an advanced alien civilization “seeded” our galaxy eons ago with an ET signal that eventually found its way to Earth, implanting a genetic code into humans, reports Discovery.com.

Physicist Vladimir I. shCherbak of al-Farabi Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan and astrobiologist Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkvo Astrophysical Institute refer to this far-out concept as “biological SETI.”

The results of their research — “The ‘Wow! signal’ of the terrestrial genetic code” — can be found in the peer-reviewed journal, Icarus.

The title of their study, which was partially financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, refers to an unexplained radio signal detected by SETI scientists in 1977.

Buitenaardse basis in Zwitserland ( UPDATE + VIDEO )

Sommige mensen zien vaker UFO’s dan andere en er zijn eveneens bepaalde plekken op aarde waar met regelmaat onbekende vliegende objecten worden waargenomen. 

Eén daarvan is de Zwitserse stad Biel/Bienne waar men zowel Frans als Duits spreekt.

In het onderstaande originele artikel schreven wij dat het goed mogelijk is dat er zich ergens in de buurt van de Zwitserse stad Biel/Bienne een buitenaardse ondergrondse basis bevindt. 

De reden is dat er op heel regelmatige basis UFO’s worden waargenomen. 

Zo is dat ook nu weer het geval. Iemand heeft opnames gemaakt van een soort zilverkleurige UFO die zich probeert te verbergen in en achter enkele wolken.

De afgelopen jaren zijn talloze UFO’s gesignaleerd in deze streek aan de voet van het Jura gebergte.

Het schijnt dat er zich bij of onder die stad ergens een buitenaardse basis bevindt, aldus ufoloog Scott C. Waring. 

De reden is dat er in de buurt op regelmatige basis UFO’s worden gezien, zoals de volgende.

Volgens Scott heeft de maker van onderstaande video’s bovenstaande UFO 49 keer vastgelegd op verschillende data, teruggaand tot 2012. 

Volgens hem is het daarom zeker dat er zich ergens in de buurt een ondergrondse basis bevindt. 

Wat locatie betreft zou het zeker kunnen want Biel/Bienne ligt aan de zuidvoet van het Juragebergte, wat geschikt zou zijn daarvoor.
