Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Churchill Covering Up A RAF Close UFO Encounter Over Britain, Personal Bodyguard Confessed
Great wartime prime minister of Britain ordered a special team of Whitehall mandarins known as the Flying Saucer Working Party to know the truth of the increasing number of UFO sightings. The personal bodyguard of Sir Winston Churchill had made a deathbed confession that his boss covered-up a close encounter over Britain with RAF itself.
RAF pilots began reported encounters with an unknown aerial object called foo fighters towards the end of World War 2. Officials thought they were German secret weapons, but the number of sightings even increased after the end of the war.
In July 1952, US Air Force radar detected various unidentified objects flying in a restricted zone above the White House and fighter jets had to be scrambled on two consecutive weekends, causing public panic.
Churchill then sent a memo to his Secretary of State for Air Lord Cherwell requesting an immediate investigation.
A confidante and close friend of the PM, Lord Cherwell, assigned the probe to the Flying Saucer Working Party.
The top secret group was formed two years earlier to investigate UFO sightings. Investigators concluded that though it was impossible to rule out the extraterrestrial involvement of sightings of the unknown aerial object, it was more likely down to terrestrial aircraft, birds, balloons, or other natural phenomena. The group also said that it could even be just optical illusions, psychological delusions, or deliberate hoaxes. That seemed to lay down the subject of extraterrestrial UFO to rest.
However, in 1999, the MoD received a letter from the grandson of a retired RAF officer inquiring on an incident wherein Churchill allegedly prevented the reporting of an unidentified flying object encounter off the east coast of England.
The unnamed officer was the personal bodyguard of Churchill. He claimed that a metallic UFO shadowed a RAF reconnaissance plane off Cumbria from a mission over occupied Europe.
The crew allegedly captured pictures of the mysterious aerial object, which they claimed hovered without noise close to the plane. When Churchill knew about the close encounter, he apparently ordered the incident to stay classified for at least 50 years and should only be released after being reviewed by a future PM. Churchill was allegedly concerned about a mass panic and impact of faith in God.
Mysteriously, all records of the incident, including the cover-up order by Churchill, apparently disappeared. MoD has claimed that all UFO files before 1967 have been destroyed. However, UFO hunters and conspiracy theorists suggest the British Establishment has been hiding proof of alien visits to Earth.

Sommige onderzoekers gaan daar inderdaad vanuit: ze achten het aannemelijk dat eventueel leven op andere planeten miljarden jaren ouder is dan het leven op aarde. Maar is dat wel zo? Een nieuw onderzoek trekt die conclusie ernstig in twijfel en suggereert zelfs dat het leven op aarde prematuur is: het zou veel aannemelijker zijn geweest als het vele malen later was ontstaan.
Het onderzoek Het leven – zoals wij dat kennen – werd ongeveer 30 miljoen jaar na de oerknal in theorie al mogelijk. De eerste sterren voorzagen de kosmos toen van de noodzakelijke elementen: koolstof en zuurstof. Over ongeveer tien biljoen jaar zullen de laatste sterren sterven en behoort leven in de kosmos niet langer tot de mogelijkheden. Wetenschappers hebben nu gekeken hoe waarschijnlijk het is dat leven tussen die twee punten – 30 miljoen jaar na de oerknal en tien biljoen jaar na het heden – ontstaat.

Kans op leven groeit En wat blijkt? De kans dat leven ontstaat is vandaag de dag veel groter dan in de tijd dat het leven op aarde ontstond. En die kans groeit met de dag. In andere woorden: het leven op aarde is wellicht prematuur. “Als je vraagt: ‘Wanneer is de kans dat leven ontstaat het grootst?’ dan zou je heel naïef misschien zeggen: ‘Nu!’,” vertelt onderzoeker Avi Loeb. “Maar wij hebben ontdekt dat de kans op leven in de verre toekomst veel groter is.”
Levensduur van een ster Verschillende factoren zijn van invloed op de kans dat op een planeet leven ontstaat. Maar de levensduur van een ster is veruit de belangrijkste factor, zo stellen Loeb en collega’s. Hoe groter de massa van een ster, hoe korter deze meegaat. Een voorbeeldje: sterren die meer dan drie keer zo zwaar zijn als de zon leggen al het loodje voordat eventueel leven de kans heeft om te ontstaan. Maar naast dergelijke zware sterren zijn er ook kleinere sterren (rode dwergen). Ze wegen aanzienlijk minder dan de zon en kunnen zo’n 10 biljoen jaar gloeien. Op planeten rond deze sterren heeft het leven dus alle tijd om te ontstaan en zich te ontwikkelen. De kans dat je op zo’n planeet leven aantreft, groeit dus naarmate er meer tijd verstrijkt. Sterker nog: de kans dat je er leven aantreft is in de verre toekomst maar liefst 1000 keer groter dan nu.
Prematuur of niet? “Dus dan kun je jezelf afvragen: waarom leven we niet in de toekomst naast een ster met een lage massa?” stelt Loeb. “Eén mogelijkheid is dat we prematuur zijn. Een andere mogelijkheid is dat de omgeving rond zo’n ster met een lage massa gevaarlijk is voor leven.” Want sterren met een lage massa mogen dan lang meegaan: ze zijn ook zeer actief. In hun jonge jaren stoten ze krachtige zonnevlammen en ultraviolette straling uit die de atmosfeer van elke rotsachtige planeet in de leefbare zone kunnen doen verdwijnen.
Maar hoe zit het nu dan? Is het leven op aarde prematuur? Of is het leven rond sterren met een lage massa te gevaarlijk? Om een antwoord op die vraag te krijgen, moeten we nabijgelegen rode dwergen en hun planeten gaan bestuderen en kijken of er op die planeten leven is. Dat is een mooi klusje voor toekomstige telescopen, zoals TESS en James Webb

We moeten nog even geduld hebben: de meteorenzwerm piekt pas op 12 augustus. Maar nu al zijn er regelmatig ‘vallende sterren’ te zien.
Het is misschien wel de bekendste sterrenregen van het jaar: de Perseïden. En volgende week piekt deze sterrenregen in de nacht van vrijdag op zaterdag met tussen de 70 en 80 lichtstreepjes per uur.
Nu al meteoren zien In aanloop naar deze piek zijn echter ook al heel wat lichtstreepjes te spotten, dus grijp de komende dagen je kans! Volgens Hemel.waarnemen.com zijn meteoren van deze zwerm tot 12 dagen voor en na het maximum te zien. Wel zijn er meer meteoren te zien kort voor of kort na de piek. Ga je drie dagen voor de piek kijken, dan kun je wel dertig meteoren per uur spotten. Kijk je een dag eerder naar de hemel, dan ligt het aantal zichtbare meteoren zo’n 40 procent lager.
Bewolking en de maan De meteoren – die een snelheid van zo’n 209.000 kilometer per uur hebben – zijn prima met het blote oog te zien. Zolang het maar niet bewolkt is. Een andere mogelijke spelbreker is de maan. Wanneer deze flink verlicht is, zijn zwakkere meteoren niet of moeilijk te zien. Dit jaar kan de maan inderdaad roet in het eten gooien, omdat deze – tijdens de piek – voor 70 procent verlicht is.
Komeet De Perseïden geeft elk jaar acte de présence. De sterrenregen ontstaat doordat de aarde door de baan van de komeet Swift-Tuttle beweegt. Deze komeet heeft in zijn baan stofdeeltjes achtergelaten die in botsing komen met moleculen in de atmosfeer van de aarde. Daarbij komt energie vrij die wij zien in de vorm van lichtstreepjes. De termen ‘sterrenregen’ of ‘vallende sterren’ zijn dan ook wat misleidend: de Perseïden hebben niks met sterren te maken.
Wie de lichtstreepjes graag met eigen ogen wil zien, doet er goed aan een plek met weinig lichtvervuiling op te zoeken. Ook is het belangrijk je warm aan te kleden.

Last week, Aikins became the first person ever to jump out of a plane without a wingsuit or parachute and survive the free fall/landing, thanks to a well-constructed safety net some 25,000 feet below.
After jumping out of the plane at 25,000 feet, Aikins soared down to the 10,000 square foot safety net that would ultimately save his life and help him successfully complete the epic stunt.
Impressively, Aikins utilized a GPS on his way down to land squarely in the net which was located in the California desert.
We are now in a very technologically advanced generation, and as we make progress every single day, the possibility of finding life beyond Earth seems more plausible than ever.
UNIVERSE IS TEEMING WITH POTENTIAL LIFE-BEARING PLANETS
Looking for liquid water – the hallmark sign for life – has been the NASA’s strategy to search for life beyond Earth. A planet must be within the so-called habitable zone, the area around a star in which a planet’s surface is able to hold liquid water.
Since its launch in 2009, the Kepler space observatory has discovered over 4,000 potential exoplanets, of which more than 2,000 have been confirmed.

THE KEPLER LIST NARROWED DOWN TO 20
A study, published in the Astrophysical Journal, from a team of researchers led by Dr. Stephen R. Kane, associate professor of Physics and Astronomy at San Francisco State University, painstakingly studied and cataloged all the exoplanets from the Kepler list to determine which among them is most likely to harbor life.
The research lists down 216 planets found within the habitable zone and, after examining other factors like size and composition, the research team further narrows down the list to 20 planets within a conservative habitable zone having a rocky surface — which are very similar to our planet Earth. The scope of the research does not include finding out whether alien life exists in those 20 Earth-like planets, though.
In an interview, Kane states, “unfortunately we cannot give probabilities that a planet has life at this point since we still only have one data point – the Earth – for which we know life exists. What we can do is focus our efforts on the planets most likely to yield evidence of extraterrestrial life and that is what we hope our work will provide.”

I would also like to thank the Navy brass for allowing Bill to tell his classified story to the public for the public good. While Charles Hall has been most involved with the Tall White ETs with very useful specific information on the TW technology and culture, Bill because of his high level clearances and positions in NASA and in the defense industry is able to broaden our perspective greatly.
This selection is especially true in regards to military ET threat assessments and the Navy’s technological push into space to counter these threats through the development of fantastic near and deep space battle groups and bases in this solar system and on other solar systems across the universe in alliance with friendly ETs. Bill and the female Nordic ETs played a very large role in conceptualizing and presenting this to the Naval High Command which essentially runs NASA contrary to those that believe NASA is really a public space program. Essentially the conceptualization is copying for earth humans what the Nordic ETs already have operating across part of the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond.
He claims in his book, “Selected by Extraterrestrials,” there is an alien ET threat. He helped the Navy to push into space to counter these threats through the development of fantastic near and deep space battle groups and bases in this solar system and on other solar systems across the universe in alliance with friendly ETs. With the help of mostly female Nordic friendly ETs infiltrated into the secret programs involved, he was able to complete his missions even though hindered by unfriendly Reptilian-Grey groups also infiltrating the secret programs through the management of the defense industry and the larger public sphere of national and global politics and economics. The Reptilians have become masters of manipulation of earth human minds and bodies through our sexuality and baser instincts it would seem.
Through Bob’s eyes we see the struggle from the very beginning of the race into space as part of a proxy war between the Reptilian-Grays who wish to keep earth humanity in bondage and on earth subjugated as property. The other races like the Nordic humans intervene both physically and telepathically to help earth humans develop technologically and spiritually in order carry their own weight in these complex extraterrestrial struggles across the universe and into other dimensions and beyond. As the TW have said to Charles just because you move into space the laws of economics still hold. It would seem that the friendly ETs are spread rather thin across this sector of the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond and are bringing primitive technological worlds up to speed rather quickly in their struggles against those races that wish to violate, enslave and generally prey upon other races.

If the Extraterrestrials are politically organized and possess a certain culture similar to our own, they may be recognized as an independent people. If they consider our culture to be devoid of political unity, they would have the right to colonize. Of course, this colonization cannot be conducted on classic lines. A superior form of colonizing will have to be conceived, that could be a kind of tutelage, possibly through the tacit approval of the United Nations. You learn how easy it is for advanced predatory ETs and even non-physical intelligences to destructively manipulate people through their destructive emotions like, fear, hate, anger, guilt, despair, depression etc. On the other hand one can see how easily more constructive ETs can manipulate our minds in bodies through love, compassion etc. in a way that counters the psychological threats to our inner and outer worlds. How far can you See?
With an unobstructed view of the horizon, the average person with an eye height of ~5’7″ (1.7 meters) can see 2.9 miles (4.7 kilometers), a person standing 100 feet (30 meters) off the ground can see 12.2 miles (19.6 kilometers), and a person atop an incredibly high location like the 29,029 foot (8,848 meter) peak of Mt. Everest can see 209 miles (336 kilometers) to the horizon.

Ottawa, Ontario — Dave Palachik reports NORAD dispatched two CF-18 fighter jets to the skies over Ottawa after a drone was spotted flying near the airport of the nation’s capital last month. • The CF-18s were scrambled from Canadian Forces Base Bagotville in Quebec at about 5:45 p.m. ET on May 25, 2016, after commercial airline operators raised concerns about a suspicious unmanned aerial vehicle near the Ottawa airport.
The largest available drone is only 2 feet in size – highly unlikely to be seen at 1.8Km away ATC would have seen this drone on radar approaching so close to the plane but it just suddenly appeared • The Air Canada flight also saw the “drone” 2000 feet higher and 5900 feet away • Military drones cannot fly at 37-55 kHz • Military drones are not detected by ACT radar • If a homemade drone extremely sophisticated and using hacked drone CPU controls

The drone was spotted by the pilots of WestJet Flight 366, from Toronto to Ottawa, as well as Air Canada Flight 458, also from Toronto to Ottawa. The WestJet pilots flew past the drone as the Boeing 737 plane was descending into the Ottawa airport at about 4:45 p.m. ET.
The pilot’s call to the airport’s air traffic controllers was recorded by the website liveATC.net, which monitors air traffic control communications across the globe. “Just to let you know we just flew pretty close to a drone at 6,700 feet,” a pilot can be heard telling air traffic controllers. • The pilots of the Air Canada flight spotted the drone on their descent in an Airbus A320 just a few minutes after the WestJet flight spotted it. • “I can see the drone,” a pilot can be heard telling air traffic controllers in another recording. The scrambled fighter jets were not able to locate the drone when they arrived and the jets returned to CFB Bagotville, according to DND. The RCMP is investigating on June 6, 2016; nearly two weeks after the incident, Transport Canada filed a report about the sightings of a “large drone” near the flight paths of the two planes. The report says that the WestJet pilots spotted the drone on the plane’s left side at the same altitude of the plane, about 6,700 feet. The Air Canada flight was flying at 8,000 feet when its pilots spotted the drone about 1.8 kilometers to its left, flying about 2,000 feet below the plane’s altitude. The drone headed to the southeast at 37 to 55 km/h on radar and was lost at about 4:55 p.m. ET, the report states.

The pilots of the Air Canada flight spotted the drone on their descent in an Airbus A320 just a few minutes after the WestJet flight spotted it. “I can see the drone,” a pilot can be heard telling air traffic controllers in another recording. The scrambled fighter jets were not able to locate the drone when they arrived and the jets returned to CFB Bagotville, according to DND. The RCMP is investigating. Ivan Sanderson’s Invisible Residents
The professional biologist who founded the Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in Columbia, New Jersey, wrote the earth has “Invisible Residents” The Reality of Underwater UFO, was the first UFO book I ever read. He states, “Could the ultimate docking stations for some of the UFOs seen constantly around the world be deep in our oceans? Could these still-operational underwater docking bases have been built in our distant past by extraterrestrials?” Sanderson chronicles hundreds of curious unidentified underwater object incidents, many that emerge from the water to fly through the air, and draws some startling conclusions. He also wrote, “The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around the World” for Saga magazine in 1972. Reprinted in Paradox, by Nicholas R. Nelson, Dorrance & Co., Ardmore, Penn. 1980.
Sanderson noticed the disappearance of aircraft and ships in certain areas of the world and plotted thousands of mysterious sinking’s and crashes using the latest technology and statistical data analysis. His success was startling. “The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around the World,” plotted ship and plane disappearances worldwide, focusing attention on 12 areas, equally spaced over the globe, in which magnetic anomalies, UFO sightings and energy aberrations were linked to a full spectrum of strange physical phenomena.
Highest on Sanderson’s statistical priority list was a lozenge-shaped area east of Miami, in the Bahamas, on the western tip of the infamous Bermuda Triangle. This area’s “high profile” of strange events, Sanderson concluded, was mostly due to the enormous flow of air/and sea traffic in the area. Other zones of anomaly, though less familiar, were equally rich in disappearances and space-time shift occurrences. …
Another area of continuing disappearances and mysterious time warps is the Devil’s Sea located east of Japan between Iwo Jima and Marcus Island. Here events have become so sinister that the Japanese government has officially designated the area a danger zone. Often there is no trace of the disappeared ships or craft as if they were moved to a different time zone or dimension.
Sanderson theorized that the tremendous hot and cold currents crossing his most active zones might create the electromagnetic gymnastics affecting instruments and vehicles. His theory is now being balanced against several.” – -Anti-Gravity page 35.

Arizona Triangle
Phoenix — I never saw the object with my naked eye. As I was going through my photo’s this morning that I took on the morning of July 29, 2016, of the storm that passed through, I found the object in the very last photo. I took five photo’s, all of which were taken within a 10-15 second period. And this is the only photo the object appears in.

California Lights
Temecula — I was sitting in my car on the third story parking structure getting ready to head home from work on July 27, 2016. I saw an object flying through the sky out of the corner of my eye that appeared to be on fire. At first I thought it was an airplane on fire. Then on closer inspection it had a long red/flaming trail and as I watched it slowly continue on a straight path.
The object spilt into two objects. Both objects had the bright red flaming trails and continued to stay on the exact same path. They didn’t deter from their course and remained side by side the entire time. I eventually lost the objects behind a building. The event lasted for 1 minute and 20 seconds and right after I saw the objects I heard a helicopter flying over head towards the directions of the objects. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Sun City — My sister and I talked about the two lights in early morning on July 30, 2016, that didn’t belong to what we normally see in sky, I took pictures to see if they were planets or satellites with the flash on my camera. I eventually enhanced the brightness on the pictures to see the two objects?
I was startled to see a sphere and more spheres appear in the photos. I did not see the object(s) until I enhanced the pictures using the brightness feature on the computer. I feel unsure about what is in the sky, yet I believe these are ufos. I just want an explanation if someone knows what it is. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Colorado Objects
Poncha Springs— Two UFOs similar in nature were moving erratically and stopping on occasion. It was fading in and fading out, changed directions suddenly, and would go further away and return closer. It would rise and fall in altitude slowly and quickly, almost as if they were monitoring the mountain range. Once the disappeared (about 1.45 hrs) I went back inside and have bee watch for them about every hour.
Nor is this my first sighting in the Rockies, or elsewhere in the world. I lost two hours driving home last Friday night in Poncha Pass from the UFO Watchtower Conference after I had sighted a bright UFO similar to the ones I saw today. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Connecticut Cylinder
North Branford — I was driving home from my job and I looked up to see a cylinder like object moving across the sky on August 3, 2016. It was moving west to east.
I tried to focus to see if I had wings, but saw nothing that’s when I realized it was of the unknown and rushed for my phone and took three pictures.
I was only able to catch it on the third try (lucky) since I was driving in slow traffic that was making it difficult to take a clear picture.

Florida Cylinder
Ocala— This incident began after a friend and I went outside on the porch to watch a storm system that was approaching at 8:30 pm as the sun was setting. I noticed a look on her face that caught my attention and immediately upon looking south I noticed a very brightly lit “sphere” moving towards us rather quickly. It was so bright and moving so quickly that it gave the appearance of being close. The color was a bluish tint but did not appear to be casting light in any direction.
As the object got closer it abruptly stopped and hoovered for multiple minutes. At this point I began recording with my cell phone, then the sphere flashed “off” and left a pulsating red light. At this point my friend took off down the road to try and get a different view and possibly see what size the object was. When the craft went to a blinking red light I could see several other red lights further away. It did a couple circular patterns before returning to its fully illuminated state.
At this point it descended below the tree level and before it disappeared car horns were honking and dogs barking. My friend reported the same things I saw and said it was much bigger than a drone. I had a feeling we were not meant to see it and I felt afraid. I had heavy breathing and very high heart rate during the 10 minute ordeal. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Nevada Also Has a Bermuda Triangle Area of Mystery
The Nevada Triangle is typically defined as spanning from Las Vegas in the southeast to Fresno in the west, and to Reno at the top. It is said that this moonscape of sparsely populated rugged wilderness has been the site of by some estimates around 2,000 aircraft crashes over the past 60 or so years, with many of these happening under mysterious circumstances, with experienced pilots, without any clear reason, and with wreckage never found. Many pilots who have nearly crashed in the Nevada Triangle near the Sierra Nevada have reported experiencing a deep sense of confusion and profound disorientation during their flights. In the end, no one is quite sure of why so many planes have gone down here, some of them quite large planes rather than light aircraft and with experienced crews under neither ideal conditions, nor even how many planes has actually gone down here, and the area has managed to create an air of mystique around itself.
Many still insist that there are forces beyond our understanding at work here pulling in planes to their doom. Talk of the Nevada Triangle is often punctuated with mentions of Area 51, aliens, or top secret tests of experimental aircraft, as well as the possibility of some form of magnetic anomaly or a vortex of some type. Adding to the mysterious quality of the region is that many of the crashed planes have never been found.
In some cases these have been rather large, rugged military aircraft such as B-24 Liberators or B-17 Flying Fortresses.
This is most likely due to the inaccessibility of the remote area, but sometimes things are stranger. One Army fighter pilot Lt. Leonard C Lydon said he parachuted from his plane when his squadron got hopelessly lost in the mountains here. He claimed to have clearly seen the P-40 fighter go down about a mile from his position, near the Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, and was sure that he knew where it had crashed.
However, when a search team returned to the area he specified, no sign of any wreckage or the plane could be found. So what is going on here? Is it aliens who are rumored to be in the area, the government covering its top-secret Area 51, magnetic anomalies, or something even stranger? Or are we just dealing with freaky weather that has a penchant for crushing smaller aircraft, coupled with the remote, unforgiving wastelands? There will probably always be tales of places on this planet that disappear people without a trace. We may not ever know the reasons why, or how, but they will always capture our imagination. New Jersey Lights
Medford— When I first noticed the UFO I was walking my neighbor’s dog across the dam after visiting the lake on August 2, 2016. It was a little after 10:30 PM on a clear night. I was put on alert when the dog crouched down and started pulling me across the bridge. There was no one around and I hadnt seen a car all night. When I looked up I saw the ship and was trying to reason with myself as to what type of plane it could be. However, I quickly saw that it was too large of an aircraft to be flying so low and further more it had no visible propellants and an odd light formation. I hurried up the street and lost sight of it. A few blocks further I stopped to let the dog pee. When I turned I saw the UFO for the second time. As I watched it, it dipped down closer to the trees and emitted a beam of light. The outside of it was jagged looking, and it appeared to be a very solidly built ship. There were red blinking lights on the sides and unwavering white ones in the front and back. Onondaga County— I was on a hilltop on July 17, 2016, taking nature photographs. It was on private property. I do not know the owners name but he gave me permission to go onto his property which was the second highest elevation in Onondaga County.
While there I was photographing flowers and the surrounding hills and sky. I was there probably 3 -4 hours. When I got home, I uploaded my photos to my computer and noticed something in the upper left hand corner of one photo. I cropped it to look at it closer. I do not know what it is. A little research into UFOs gave me some information, but not enough to identify the object. Can you tell me what this is? Thanks to MUFON CMS

Mount Washington — I noticed the object in the background of two photos that were taken of me and my daughter and her friend on the top of Mount Washington on July 27, 2016.
When I zoomed in on them. Both photos were taken by another person at the summit.

Bismarck— I was just sitting outside having a smoke and watching a thunder storm move into the area on June 9, 2016, when I noticed a blue-violet kind of glow rise straight up.

Yellow Springs — It was about 5:30 PM, in the evening in late July, overcast, and it had been drizzling. I was washing dishes and looked out my kitchen window. I my saw cat sitting on top of a fencepost and thought it looked cute. I went out to take a picture of him. Pictures kept coming out blurry. Took about 5 and gave up. It wasn’t until I downloaded them onto my computer that I found one in focus, and saw the lights. Clearly the object was circling the cat in a clockwise direction. He is looking to his left, which is where he heard it. It’s lights or radiation are reflecting in the Yellow Springs cat’s eyes. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Texas Lights
Austin — On August 2, 2016, at 11 pm myself and 7 kids were about 100 feet from our apartment when we saw a huge glowing light coming at us from the northeast. Then it broke apart and became two, a smaller one and larger one that both started blinking red, yellow, and green over and over.
It was hovering over either homes or trees in that area. As we entered our home the bigger one disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Washington Lights
Richland— I am not sure what this is. There are two; they each had three bright lights across the front. They hovered in one spot for awhile then turned around, and I could see they were triangular shaped. They had one red light on the back. They turned and went toward north Pasco. I watched them until I lost sight of them. We were driving on the highway when trying to get photos so they are very blurry. The date was Tuesday, July 26, 2016, around 9:30 PM.

Australia Lights
Perth— I was looking at the images from the Solar and Heliospherical Observatory Satellite on 4th June 2016 when I saw two objects near the Sun. I screen captured them, then did a close up analysis. I am amazed to see they’re artificial in appearance.
One in particular seems to be shaped very much as I would imagine a spaceship to be with one bulbous front part and a bigger rear and what looks like a tail section pointing up. Although blurry the artificiality of these structures are evident. They are mere specks next to the sun, but would be enormous in relation to planet Earth. The second object is almost like a ‘lawn roller’ in shape with a big cylinder and a distinct thin appendage coming out the back. Enhancing the image seems to show vapour coming off it. Given the extreme heat near the Sun, I am not surprised. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Prevost — This year has changed meas I know we are not alone. I was shocked by watching them about four hours on April 23, 2016, doing the transformation into another ship and there are other ships in the area close by.

Audebo –The time was 12:30 am on May 31, 2016 when my family and I were in our beds. Suddenly a strange bright light appeared outside our curtains and shined through our blinds.We live on a quiet road outside the city and in front of the bedroom there is nothing else than the garden and cows in our fields. I got out of bed to see what caused this sharp strange light that y blinded us through the curtains. We thought it might be a tractor’s headlights, but it turned out to be something different? These strange lights up in the sky sporadically appear. The almost seem to have coded language turned on as the video shows. I filmed as best I could with the phone in one hand and curtain in the other. The sky was all black except for the lights and no lines in the sky indicating a flare or fireworks. The big round light was bright above the middle of the field! Blinding spotlights high up in nothingness. Wikwemikong –- So my family and I are quite sure that it was a UFO that we observed or that observed us this dark night in May. I was told by the witness she was sitting outside on her deck at 5:30 am having coffee. Her daughter came out onto the deck with her coffee; andshe noticed a bright object in the sky. She managed to take two pictures of the object as it flew near the Moon.
She soon came to the conclusion that it was an UFO. The object flew in a straight line with no sound and continued in a southwest direction until it was no longer observed. The mother and her daughter very excited when they first realized what they were seeing and told their friends that they had seen a UFO. They decided to put the picture on Facebook. Selangor – On August 2, 2016. I was on my way home from Uni. My mum was driving and we were about five minutes away from our condo, and my mum says, “Ann! Look at the sky, there’s something weird!” I got a view of a hovering UFO only 25 to 35 meters away from us. I quickly took out my phone and took a video, zooming into what initially looked like a giant lantern with flashy bright lights which switched colors from purple to blue to a yellowish golden color. I thought to myself maybe it was a drone. That was when my camera stopped recording as we got nearer to the UFO’
It was huge and not a plane as it was really big. It was higher than the trees, an irregular object with an indescribable shape. There were multiple colored LED lights which formed a ring of green, yellow, red, blue, purple, almost like a rainbow, forming a giant circle. These lights were attached to the grayish metallic UFO. It wasn’t that clear because of the bright flashy lights. I immediately called my friend to rush out of her house to look but, she didn’t see anything. She was amazed by my video of changing lights. Queenstown — I was waiting for my plane at Queenstown airport and just took a photo of the airfield with my Pentax digital camera on February 2016.
It was only after I had loaded the memory card to my Mac lap top that I noticed the rather strange formation in the top right of the picture.

Tyumen – On June 29, 2016, during the shooting of the ISS, I noticed a bright unidentified object which was flying from the southeast. The maximum magnitude of the ISS was about – 2, maximum magnitude of the bright UFO was around -1. A few hours before the event, I watched dozens of UFOs and recorded them on video. South Africa Triangle
Struisbaai – I’m a real estate photographer and took pictures of the scenery and especially the sea views from where I was on August 2, 2016. It was just after 12:47 PM, and I didn’t see or hear anything.
Only when I got back home to upload all the pictures did I find the anomaly. I take three rapid shots in about a second for each photo. Three different exposures then merge all three to render as one picture.
The UFO only appeared on the first picture so in a split second it disappeared out of the frame. This must have been super fast. Thanks to MUFON CMS
UK England Four Objects
Southampton – I sat in my garden about midday and heard a Chinnock helicopter overhead so decided to try and get a photo of it on my phone on August 3, 2016.
As I zoomed in I could see four unknown objects in front of it travelling in the same direction and moving at the same speed as the helicopter.
Before I could take a second photo the objects had disappeared into the clouds.

Glasgow — Sitting with family when we witnessed a bright starlike object appear over the fields and houses across from us on July 30, 2016.
We are used to seeing aircraft as their is a flightpath to the major airport near us. This craft made no noise so I presumed it was a satellite or the space station. But as it got closer it was obvious the object was in earth’s atmosphere. It slowed for awhile and then deviated away getting brighter and then it just disappeared. Kap Dwa, the Twelve-Foot-Tall, Two-Headed Giant from Patagonia
Kap Dwa, the Twelve-Foot-Tall, Two-Headed Giant from Patagonia
Stories about giants aren’t exactly rare, but this is one of the few ones where the giant had two heads.
The Fortean world is the epicenter of the world’s the strangest stories, most of them starting out as side show attractions. The notorious politician and showman P.T. Barnum contributed much to this charade, since he was renowned for his skills in taxidermy.
His famous creations were known as gaffs, (the result of rogue taxidermy), offering the world creatures straight out of legends and fiction, shaped by patching together the preserved corpses of various animals emerging into what he would name as the jackalope, dragons, chimeras, or even unicorns.
But from the hands of gaff collectors around the world came to be what we consider as probably the only real and also most intriguing attractions of all fakes, Kap Dwa, the two-headed Patagonian giant.
Although he was over 12 feet tall and had two heads, Kap Dwa was captured in 1673 by Spanish sailors and kept captive in the bowels of their ship. The Spaniards’ constant whipping and pummeling determined him to attempt an escape, but during the battle ensued, he was killed with a pike through his chest.
The following events are not clear, but his mummified remains were finally brought to England in the 19th century, where they passed from the Edwardian Horror Circuit to various freak show attractions, ending up at Weston’s Birnbeck Pier in 1914.
After being displayed the next 45 years in North Somerset, England, old Kap Dwa was acquired by Thomas Howard in 1959, and following a few more hand-offs he ultimately ended up in Baltimore. Nowadays, he can still be found among the collection of oddities at Bob’s Side Show at The Antique Man Ltd. in Baltimore, owned by Robert Gerber and his wife.
Gerber provides a somewhat different past of the giant, although the ending is still the same tragic event. The corpse of the unique Homo giganticus was found on a beach, with a spear protruding from his chest and nothing is certain about his assailant. His body was later mummified and even worshiped by some locals in Paraguay that formed some kind of religion based on his remnants.
The unbelievable rumors about Kap Dwa reached Capt. George Bickle of the English clipper Olive Branch out of Plymouth, leading to Bickle claiming the giant’s remains, but that was no easy task. According to Gerber, Kap Dwa was then taken to England, ending up in the Blackpool museum where he remained for the next several years. Only then was his body eventually embarked on the journey back to Baltimore, Maryland.
The tallest man officially recorded was Robert Wadlow (1918-1940), measuring 8 feet 11 inches tall, and skeptics consider it highly unlikely for Kap Dwa to be real, although it is physically possible for a man to reach the legendary giant’s size. As for his two heads, if he really did have two heads originally, conjoined twins are not exactly uncommon, especially in those days.
Those who have seen the encased giant up-close claim that no seams or stitching are visible and the only piece of string was that of his loin cloth, concluding that no rogue taxidermy had been performed on the unusual exhibit.
The conflicting stories may simply be the product of the natural promotion of such an oddity over so many years of sideshow display.
However unusual, Kap Dwa wasn’t the only giant to come up in anecdotes from the 17th century. Dutch captain Sebalt de Weert (1567-1603) described an incident where he and his crew witnessed members belonging to a race of giants. While passing through the Magellan Strait, de Weert saw seven unusually large rowboats menacingly approaching their ships. The boats were allegedly manned by naked giants with reddish-brown skin and long, red hair. Their stance and demeanor were aggressive, determining de Weert to steer clear of them.
There are also several documents from the same time period attesting the existence of giants. One such writing is the Codex Rios, also known as Codex Vatican A. This manuscript is the 16th century Italian translation of an older document written during the Spanish colonial era. The script features a intriguing full-page illustration of several Aztec warriors overcoming and executing a gigantic man. As scary as it may seem for some, the prospect of an extraterrestrial civilization making contact with us on our home turf is something mankind needs to consider. Because even if the aliens’ intentions are good, we’re still going to have some problems.
The scientific world is divided. Some dismiss the existence of aliens until irrefutable evidence is presented. The others are again divided into two groups: those who believe contact with an extraterrestrial race will occur soon and the others, who surmise the alien connection will only happen in the far future.
It’s obvious mankind could really use some contingency plans just in case aliens decide to drop by. Those plans are certain to exist but civilian access to them is forbidden. So let us construct our own hypotheses and debate what would happen—in terms of communication—if a great big UFO landed where we could all see it.

For the sake of our argument, let’s assume the alien species would communicate in a manner we could comprehend, either through vocalizations or imagery. If their language consisted of a series of harmonic emissions of ionized gasses, we might not have the organs to detect their ‘spoken words.’ So the first prerequisite for a chat with aliens would be that they developed a form of comprehensible language that could be translated into concepts we could understand. American linguist Noam Chomsky believes it could be possible, although it most certainly wouldn’t be easy:
“The same structures that make it possible to learn a human language make it impossible for us to learn a language that violates the principles of universal grammar,” Chomsky told NY Times reporter John Gliedman. “If a Martian landed from outer space and spoke a language that violated universal grammar, we simply would not be able to learn that language the way that we learn a human language like English or Swahili.”
He is convinced the endeavor would require a different plan of attack, one that would require more brains than an army of hungry sapiosexual zombies.
“We should have to approach the alien’s language slowly and laboriously — the way that scientists study physics, where it takes generation after generation of labor to gain new understanding and to make significant progress. We’re designed by nature for English, Chinese, and every other possible human language. But we’re not designed to learn perfectly usable languages that violate universal grammar. These languages would simply not be within the range of our abilities.”

The second condition for any meaningful communication to arise would be the existence of reference points both parties would understand. In reality, this wouldn’t be that hard. A civilization that has traveled the vast distances of outer space would most likely share some common grounds with humanity. We’ve heard it time and again: mathematics is the universal language and this holds true, especially when considering the hurdles a space-faring species would have had to overcome. Without an understanding of physics and natural phenomena, they wouldn’t have survived their own stone age, let alone land on an alien (to them) planet.
A species that successfully manipulates the matter around itself would definitely make use of concepts like size, time, similarity and difference, dead or alive. Even though they would be different from us, we could find some common grounds.
But then again, there are multiple instances in the history of mankind where communication channels simply couldn’t be opened. In their conquest for land and riches, humanity’s explorers mercilessly slaughtered entire tribes because of the language barrier. You don’t even have to look back in history to see examples of humans not being able to get a hold of each other.
In the Indian Ocean’s Bay of Bengal lays one of the most isolated places on Earth: North Sentinel Island. The size of Manhattan, this undisturbed island is home to a tribe that has never been contacted by modern man. Although technically in the Stone Age, the Sentinelese tribe inhabiting the island ferociously guard it against any trespassers, even if it means attacking helicopters with wooden spears. So, even among members of the same species, communication can prove impossible if an area of agreement is not demarcated.
A similar thing could happen to us if advanced extraterrestrials decided to make a public appearance. Although you and I and all the rest of the well-meant world would probably militate for a friendly handshake, we are still the minority. Don’t believe me? Watch the reactions of the witnesses of a recent UFO sighting. Although it wasn’t determined the flying lights were indeed extraterrestrial and, even if they were, they exhibited no dangerous intentions, but the crowd still wanted to resort to violence. No matter the issue, mob mentality frequently and quickly makes use of the tar and feather argument.
But in the case of an alien visitation that the populace would mistake for an invasion, we can only hope the aliens themselves are wise and quick enough to quell the masses’ fears. They could only do so if they spoke out loud and clear for everyone to hear. They alone could mitigate the situation they created. The world governments, much like the Sentinelese, would indubitably brandish nukes and other WMDs, even though, in the eyes of advanced aliens, they would look just like stone spears and wooden arrows.
So, if the aliens do come, they better come prepared, because we aren’t.
A Florida witness at Perdido Key reported watching a round craft with red lights moving while a ground-based search light followed it, according to testimony in Case 77923 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was camping in this area on July 6, 2016, just a few miles from Pensacola Naval Air Station.
“Around 11:30p.m., I saw a round craft with red lights go out into the bay with search lights on the ground following it,” the witness stated.“It went to a spot 200-300 feet in the air, it hovered and then circled back to the airstrip. This happened 4-5 times. I had my binoculars and was only 2-3 miles from it.”

The witness was also able to see the object land.
“When it landed, from what I could see, it seemed a cloud of gas or fog surrounded the object. I got the feeling it was remote controlled because on one of the flights while hovering it bounced up and down while hovering like someone was having some fun with a joystick.”

Al vele jaren doen verhalen de ronde dat onder een afgelegen deel van dit vliegveld zich een buitenaardse basis bevindt van een ras dat wij de Tall Whites noemen.
Ook enkele dagen geleden was het weer raak bij Steven toen hij een sigaarvormige UFO wist vast te leggen die met enorme snelheid richting aarde schiet.
Waar die UFO terechtkomt is heel bijzonder, want vorig jaar heeft Steven op exact diezelfde plek ook UFO’s waargenomen, wat het verhaal van een buitenaardse basis daar ondersteunt.
En als zich daar inderdaad een basis bevindt, dan is het ook logisch dat ruimteschepen daar af en aan vliegen.
We hebben al eerder uitgebreid geschreven over deze basis en wat zich daar afspeelt. Een deel uit een eerder artikel:

Er doen al lange tijd veel verhalen de ronde over dat er buitenaardsen zouden verblijven.
Een bekende en prominente persoonlijkheid die veel weet over buitenaards leven is de voormalig Canadese Minister van Defensie, Paul Hellyer.
1) Er zijn minimaal vier verschillende soorten buitenaardsen die de aarde de afgelopen duizenden jaren hebben bezocht.
2) De soorten hebben waarschijnlijk verschillende agenda’s en dienen niet beschouwd te worden als van hetzelfde ras.
3) Een van die soorten is wat men noemt de Tall Whites. Volgens Hellyer werkt dit type samen met de Verenigde Staten.
4) Er leven op dit moment buitenaardsen op aarde.
Volgens ufoloog Scott C. Waring is de plek waar de Tall Whites wonen een ondergrondse basis op het terrein van Nellis AFB.
Bekijk met dat alles in het achterhoofd de video onderaan dit artikel. Het is een opname die enkele dagen geleden is gemaakt bij Nellis AFB. Dan zie je beelden van onbekende vliegende objecten boven de luchtmachtbasis.
Volgens Scott is de maker van onderstaande video erin geslaagd om een vertrekkend of aankomend schip van de Tall Whites vast te leggen.
De maker van de video zegt dat dit niet de eerste keer is dat hij dit soort merkwaardige vliegende objecten vastlegt op die locatie. Hij verbaast zich het meest over de technologie die achter deze schepen moet zitten. De manier waarop ze van een bolvorm plotseling veranderen in een rij van objecten, zich vervolgens verspreiden en wegvliegen.
Zo zegt hij, “Wanneer iemand mij vertelt dat onze luchtmacht hun tijd 25 jaar vooruit is dan zou ik daarop zeggen: meer dan 1.000 jaar en deze opnames bewijzen het”.
Zo blijft de vraag bestaan of we hier te maken heb met een schip van de Tall Whites zoals Scott Waring denkt of met een vliegend object van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht dat misschien onderdeel uitmaakt van de geheime ruimtevloot.
De informatie dat er zich onder Nellis Airforce Base een dergelijke basis bevindt, is hoofdzakelijk afkomstig van Charles Hall.
Hij heeft onder andere vier boeken geschreven, waarin hij verhaalt over zijn ontmoetingen met de Tall Whites op Nellis Airforce Base.
Volgens Hall hebben de Tall Whites een akkoord bereikt met de Amerikaanse overheid voor het vestigen van een geheime basis op dit vliegveld in Indian Springs in Nevada.
Maar, wie beter dan Charles Hall zelf om het verhaal te vertellen over dit bijzondere buitenaardse ras op onze planeet.
Verbazingwekkend dat dit object niet wordt opgemerkt door satellieten, radars en alle andere veiligheidsmaatregelen die door de mensheid zijn bedacht. Of, als ze wel worden opgemerkt, dan wordt dit dus niet bekendgemaakt.
En wanneer NASA merkt dat bovengenoemd ruimteschip in beeld komt, dan is er opeens een technische storing en valt het beeld weg.
Wanneer dat gebeurt, dan weet je honderd procent zeker dat je iets interessants op het spoor bent.

I found the cube near our sun again yesterday. It was not just near the sun, but actually pulling part of the sun out to it...sucking the surface into the cube. This may not be a occupied ship, but actually an massive drone that is the size of Earth itself. I have been carefully monitoring this cube for over 5 years, and was the first to report on it. Its till coming, about ever 2-3 months, like its following a cycle or rotation, but then again, there may be thousands of these in our solar system and they may use the solar material to recharge the ship. Also its possible the cube is a space battery of sorts...that recharges with the sun and carries it off to the alien civilization that created it.

However, a Garda spokesman told The Irish Times that it was less of a “pursuit” and more of a friendly escort. The “UFO” in this case is actually an installation for a space-themed art show created by local artist Ali Kemal Ali. “The gardaí gave (Ali) a little escort around the town to show the UFO off,” said the Garda spokesman, quelling rumours of an intergalactic invasion. “It was all in good faith,” he said. No aliens have been arrested at this time.

Jupiter's volcanic moon Io boasts an atmosphere made from sulfur dioxide gas — when the satellite is in sunlight. For the first time, researchers have observed the atmosphere during the moon's daily pass through Jupiter's shadow, watching that atmosphere temporarily freeze and collapse.

Jupiter's active moon Io has a collapsible atmosphere: New views show the satellite's shroud of sulfur dioxide freezing when Io enters its planet's shadow each day and converting back to gas when the moon emerges.
Io, Jupiter's fifth moon, is the solar system's most volcanically active body; plumes of the sulfur dioxide gas bursts from multiple active volcanoes, reaching up to 300 miles (480 kilometers) above the moon's surface at a scalding 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,650 degrees Celsius). The Jupiter moon's surface, on the other hand, is frigidly cold, and gets even colder when Jupiter blocks out the sun — which prompts the atmospheric collapse.
"This confirms that Io's atmosphere is in a constant state of collapse and repair, and shows that a large fraction of the atmosphere is supported by sublimation of sulfur dioxide ice [when it turns to gas]," John Spencer, a researcher at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in Colorado and co-author on the new work, said in a statement. "Though Io's hyperactive volcanoes are the ultimate source of the sulfur dioxide, sunlight controls the atmospheric pressure on a daily basis by controlling the temperature of the ice on the surface." "We've long suspected this, but can finally watch it happen," Spencer added in the same statement.
The researchers used the Gemini North telescope in Hawaii and the Texas Echelon Cross Echelle Spectrograph (TEXES) to watch Io cross into and out of Jupiter's shadow on two different nights. At the time, Io was more than 420 million miles (675 million km) from Earth. Previous studies were unable to make out Io's atmosphere in the dark, but this new work relied on detecting the atmosphere radiating heat, researchers said in the statement.
In sunlight, Io's surface averages out to minus 235 degrees F (minus 150 degrees C), but once the moon passes into Jupiter's shadow, that temperature drops to minus 270 degrees F (minus168 degrees C). No longer warmed by the sun, the atmosphere of sulfur dioxide gas freezes and turns to frost on the moon's surface.
Io's atmosphere collapses in the dark of Jupiter's shadow, and then re-emerges once the moon returns to sunlight. While the atmosphere is fed by volcanic plumes of sulfur dioxide, its re-emergence comes largely from the previously frozen sulfur dioxide warming and returning to a gas state.

Io leaves Jupiter's shadow after 1.7 Earth days, which is 2 hours of Io's day, and the sulfur dioxide sublimates — goes straight from solid to gas — and pumps up the atmosphere once again when the moon re-enters sunlight.
Understanding the volcanic, lava-covered Io is key to understanding the environment around Jupiter, where NASA's Juno spacecraft arrived July 4, researchers said in the statement. "Io spews out gases that eventually fill the Jupiter system, ultimately seeding some of the auroral features seen at Jupiter's poles," said Constantine Tsang, the study's lead author (also at SwRI). "Understanding how these emissions from Io are controlled will help paint a better picture of the Jupiter system."
For the first time ever, a private company has permission to land on the moon.
The U.S. government has officially approved the planned 2017 robotic lunar landing of Florida-based Moon Express, which aims to fly commercial missions to Earth's nearest neighbor and help exploit its resources, company representatives announced today (Aug. 3).
"This is not only a milestone, but really a threshold for the entire commercial space industry," Moon Express co-founder and CEO Bob Richards told Space.com. [Images: Moon Express' Private Lunar Lander]
Previously, companies had been able to operate only on or around Earth. The new approval, while exclusive to Moon Express, could therefore serve as an important regulatory guide for deep-space commercial activity in general, Richards said.

"Nobody's had a deep-sea voyage yet. We're still charting those waters," he said. "Somebody had to be first."
Moon Express submitted an application to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on April 8. The document then made its way through the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Federal Communications Commission, Richards said.
The interagency approval process "took some time, not because anybody was against or averse to this," he said. "It's just that we asked questions that had never been asked before, and that had to be addressed and worked out."
Moon Express can now focus exclusively on the financial and technical challenges of the 2017 moon mission, which will begin with the launch of the company's MX-1 lander atop a Rocket Lab Electron booster. (Moon Express signed a multilaunch deal with Rocket Lab last year.)
The main goal of the maiden launch is to test out the MX-1's performance and capability on the lunar surface. Moon Express representatives also hope to win the Google Lunar X-Prize, a $30 million competition to land a privately funded robotic vehicle on the moon by the end of 2017.
The first team to pull off this landing — and get the vehicle to move at least 1,640 feet (500 meters) on the lunar surface, and beam high-definition video and photos back to Earth — will win the $20 million grand prize. (The second team to achieve all of this gets $5 million, and another $5 million is available for meeting other milestones. At the moment, 16 teams remain in the running.)
"We're still shooting for the end of 2017," Richards said of the maiden MX-1 moon mission. "A lot has to go right, but at least we have a shot at our moon shot, given this regulatory approval."
If all goes according to plan, future Moon Express missions will help assess, extract and exploit lunar resources such as water ice, helping to launch a new era in space exploration, company representatives have said.
"Space travel is our only path forward to ensure our survival and create a limitless future for our children," Moon Express co-founder and Chairman Naveen Jain said in a statement today. "In the immediate future, we envision bringing precious resources, metals and moon rocks back to Earth. In 15 years, the moon will be an important part of Earth’s economy, and potentially our second home."
Researchers from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics have come up with what they see as the best explanation for why we have yet to find alien lifethat equals our own. They say it's because, compared to the rest of the universe, Earthly life is relatively premature.
Our 4.5 billion-year-old planet is relatively young, floating in a universe that is about 13.8 billion years old. The research team, whose study will be published in the Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, believes that life onEarth formed significantly earlier than comparable life would normally emerge on other planets."If you ask, 'When is life most likely to emerge?' you might naively say, 'Now,'" lead author Avi Loeb said in a press release. "But we find that the chance of life grows much higher in the distant future."
Scientists largely agree that the possibility for life emerged about 30 million years ago following the Big Bang, and it's predicted that life in the universe will come to an end in 10 trillion years, once the remaining stars fade away.
Between these two points of reference -- the Big Bang and the extinguishing of the last stars -- Loeb and his team tried to determine the likelihood of when life would form. Key to this is star size. Stars that are larger than about three times our sun's mass will burn out before any kind of life has the chance to develop. The best bet is with small stars, apparently. The smallest stars weigh less than 10 percent of the sun's mass, and they're likely to thrive for 10 trillion years -- which is plenty of time for life to slowly evolve on their planets.
Loeb and his team hypothesized that the chance for life to develop is 1,000 times higher in the far distant future -- since these small stars slowly burn for trillions of years -- than it is right now.
"So then you may ask, why aren't we living in the future next to a low-mass star?" Loeb asked. "One possibility is we're premature. Another possibility is that the environment around a low-mass star is hazardous to life."
Small stars aren't a guarantee that life will safely evolve on their planets over time. The researchers emphasize that, in their early years, low-mass red dwarf stars live for a long time but unfortunately shoot out powerful solar flares and ultraviolet radiation that could burn away the potentially life-giving atmosphere of nearby rocky planets.
The researchers emphasize that it's important to study these red dwarf stars to better understand their relationship to their orbiting planets.

Elon Musk has said that there is only a “one in billions” chance that we’re not living in a computer simulation.
Our lives are almost certainly being conducted within an artificial world powered by AI and highly-powered computers, like in The Matrix, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO suggested at a tech conference in California.
Mr Musk, who has donated huge amounts of money to research into the dangers of artificial intelligence, said that he hopes his prediction is true because otherwise it means the world will end.
“The strongest argument for us probably being in a simulation I think is the following,” he told the Code Conference. “40 years ago we had Pong – two rectangles and a dot. That’s where we were.
“Now 40 years later we have photorealistic, 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously and it’s getting better every year. And soon we’ll have virtual reality, we’ll have augmented reality.
“If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then the games will become indistinguishable from reality, just indistinguishable.”
He said that even if the speed of those advancements dropped by 1000, we would still be moving forward at an intense speed relative to the age of life.
Since that would lead to games that would be indistinguishable from reality that could be played anywhere, “it would seem to follow that the odds that we’re in ‘base reality’ is one in billions”, Mr Musk said.
Asked whether he was saying that the answer to the question of whether we are in a simulated computer game was “yes”, he said the answer is “probably”.
He said that arguably we should hope that it’s true that we live in a simulation. “Otherwise, if civilisation stops advancing, then that may be due to some calamitous event that stops civilisation.”
He said that either we will make simulations that we can’t tell apart from the real world, “or civilisation will cease to exist”.
Mr Musk said that he has had “so many simulation discussions it’s crazy”, and that it got to the point where “every conversation [he had] was the AI/simulation conversation”.
The question of whether what we see is real or simulated has perplexed humans since at least the Ancient philosophers. But it has been given a new and different edge in recent years with the development of powerful computers and artificial intelligence, which some have argued shows how easily such a simulation could be created.

The possibility that we earthlings are not truly alone in the universe has gained some added credibility, thanks to a new study that coincides with NASA’s recent planetary discoveries. The research, published in the journal Astrobiology last week, suggests that more planets in the Milky Way galaxy may harbor advanced civilizations than we previously imagined.
Study co-authors Adam Frank and Woodruff Sullivan looked at recent discoveries of potentially habitable exoplanets andconsidered the odds of whether sophisticated civilizations existed on them in the past or present.
“What we showed was the ‘floor’ on the probability for a civilization to form on any randomly chosen planet,” Frank, a University of Rochester physics and astronomy professor, told The Huffington Post in an email. “If we are the only civilization in cosmic history, then that what we calculated is the actual probability nature has set. But if the actual probability is higher than that floor, then civilizations have happened before.”
“Even if you are pretty pessimistic and think that you’d have to search through 100 billion (habitable zone) planets before you found one where a civilization developed, then there have still been a trillion civilizations over cosmic history!” Frank wrote. “When I think about that, my mind reels — even if there is just a one in a 100 billion chance of evolution creating exo-civilizations, the universe still has made so many of them that we are swamped by histories other than our own.”

In 1961, astronomer Frank Drake — founder of the SETI Institute (SETI stands for “Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence”) —devised what is now known as the “Drake equation” to estimate the number of planets that may be home to civilizations with the ability to communicate beyond their world.
Frank and Sullivan created a new equation, which appears at the bottom of the illustration below. While the Drake equation calculates the number of advanced alien civilizations that could exist in the Milky Way galaxy, Frank and Sullivan’s equation expands the question to calculate the number of advanced civilizations that have existed in our galaxy throughout the whole history of the universe.

The variable factors that Drake and others consider when attempting to come up with figures about ET-inhabited worlds include:
The rate of formation of stars with planets suitable for intelligent life.
The number of those stars that have planetary systems.
The number of those planets which may have life-sustaining environments.
The number of those planets where life develops.
How many of those planets produce intelligent life.
How many of those intelligent life forms could produce technology, such as radio signals.
“Recent advances in exoplanet studies provide strong constraints on all astrophysical terms in the Drake equation. We set a firm lower bound on the probability that one or more technological species have evolved anywhere and at any time in the history of the observable universe.”
The two scientists address what they refer to as “the cosmic frequency of technological species.”
“The universe is more than 13 billion years old,” Sullivan, of the astronomy department and astrobiology program at the University of Washington, said in a statement. “That means that even if there have been 1,000 civilizations in our own galaxy, if they live only as long as we have been around — roughly 10,000 years — then all of them are likely already extinct. And others won’t evolve until we are long gone.
“For us to have much chance in finding another ‘contemporary’ active technological civilization, on average they must last much longer than our present lifetime,” Sullivan said.
The search for extraterrestrial signals has been ongoing for decades.
“With so many stars and planets filling the cosmos, it boggles the mind to think that we’re the only clever life to have made an appearance,” SETI Institute senior astronomer Seth Shostak told HuffPost in an email. “Frank and Sullivan use new research indicating that roughly one in five stars is orbited by a planet that could nurture biology. After that, it’s just a matter of counting up the tally of stars in the visible universe, and saying that — with all the suitable real estate that’s out there, if we’re the only place with intelligent life, then we’ve really won the mother of all lotteries.”
Shostak cautions against being overly optimistic or pessimistic about the SETI Institute’s searches for intelligent signals from possible outer space neighbors.
“The odds that no one is out there are very, very small. It’s a bit like an ant coming out of its hive, seeing the enormous amount of real estate stretching in all directions and deciding that, if its home is the only ant hill, then its existence is a near-miracle. Or, put another way, the calculation by Frank and Sullivan quantifies Jodie Foster’s statement in [the movie] ‘Contact’ that, if there’s nobody out there, it would be a ‘waste of space,’” said Shostak.

Scientists searching for extraterrestrial beings — and, yes, to those beings, we would be aliens — are like archaeologists combing a vast space for treasures and information to learn more about the history of our species.

“I love the notion of a cosmic archaeological question. I think this puts an important new spin on the question about the rise of technological communicating intelligence,” Penelope J. Boston, incoming director of NASA’s Astrobiology Institute at Ames Research Center, told HuffPost.
“We have only been looking for other intelligences for a few decades in a galaxy of unfathomable proportions,” Boston said. “Of course we haven’t found anybody yet. I think it is childish to imagine that we should somehow have started looking, and bingo, there they are! I have trouble finding my dropped contact lens in the grass. Should I then disbelieve in the reality of my contact lens?”
While scientists had long wondered if there were other planets orbiting stars in the Milky Way galaxy and elsewhere, it wasn’t until the early 1990s that the first extrasolar world was confirmed.
“The existence of planets orbiting stars other than the sun is a 2,500-year-old question that has been entirely answered over the last 20 years,” said Frank. “We now know that every star in the night sky has at least one planet orbiting it, and many of those are in the right place for life to form.
“Ten thousand years from now, no one will remember anything about our era except it was when we discovered this single profound fact: We live in a cosmos of planets.”
