“Axisymmetric disks of high-eccentricity, low-mass bodies on near-Keplerian orbits are unstable to an out-of-plane buckling. This “inclination instability” exponentially grows the orbital inclinations, raises perihelion distances, and clusters in the argument of perihelion.”

Wait … what? Let’s decode that to something most of us can understand.

“The outermost reaches of our solar system are a strange place—filled with dark and icy bodies with nicknames like Sedna, Biden and The Goblin, each of which span several hundred miles across.

The orbits of these planetary oddities, which scientists call “detached objects,” tilt and buckle out of the plane of the solar system, among other unusual behaviors.”

Is that better? You’re welcome. Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder have been studying the mysterious area of our solar system beyond Neptune and the Kuiper Belt where small icy objects and possibly one big Planet Nine reside in orbits completely out of whack from the rest of the solar system. Ann-Marie Madigan, an assistant professor in the Department of Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences and graduate student Alexander Zderic decided to test whether a Planet Nine is needed to gravitationally influence the tiny icy bodies scattered about the area or if they obtained their crazy non-solar-planar orbits (see-saws and clusters, for instance) on their own. In the process, they came up with a new concept in planetary movement described in a press release and papers in two different journals. Who cares … did they find Planet Nine?

“In this Letter, we present N-body simulations of the long-term behavior of such a system, finding apsidal clustering of the orbits in the disk plane. The timescale over which the clustering is maintained increases with number of particles, suggesting that lopsided configurations are stable at large N. This discovery may explain the observed apsidal (ϖ) clustering of extreme trans-Neptunian Objects in the outer solar system.”

Wait … what again?

“In the process, they discovered something unusual: the icy objects in their simulations started off orbiting the sun like normal. But then, over time, they began to pull and push on each other. As a result, their orbits grew wonkier until they started to resemble the real thing.”

Yes, the findings are based on simulations – albeit using supercomputers and the largest collection of input data ever. What they found is that the tiny icy planets started off in the same orbital plane as their larger siblings closer to the Sun, but then began to influence each other – pushing and pulling themselves into strange orbits. However, a simulated Planet Nine was never able to accomplish this. Instead, the models showed that there are a lot more tiny planetoids out there than we suspected (a long-held assumption based on the fact that we can’t see them with current telescopes) and those large numbers allow them to join forces and exert what Madigan and Zderic dubbed “collective gravity.”

“You needed objects that added up to something on the order of 20 Earth masses. That’s theoretically possible, but it’s definitely going to be bumping up against people’s beliefs.”

Not to mention bumping into each other. “Theoretically possible” means there’s still hope for a Planet Nine, which is also theoretically possible and never seen with current telescopes. While the idea of Planet Nine being thousands of little Planet Nines has been proposed before, Madigan and Zderic have added the theory of collective gravity to the equation. They’re hoping the Vera C. Rubin Observatory, scheduled to be operational in Chile in 2022, will finally be able to see some of these “detached objects” and confirm their theory.

Meanwhile, trying to understand these scientific papers sometimes makes my brain feel like a detached object.

Archaeologists made an interesting discovery at the Qafzeh Cave which is located close to the city of Nazareth, Israel. In addition to the dozens of human skeletons who lived in that area during the Mediterranean Paleolithic time period, they also unearthed several perforated shells.

What’s so interesting about these shells – many of which were painted with ochre – is that they were strung together with string to connect them into a necklace sometime between 160,000 and 120,000 years ago.

In an article I wrote back in April of this year (which can be read here), I discussed how the world’s oldest string was created by Neanderthals in Abri du Maras, France, about 50,000 years ago, so the fact that these Israeli shells were connected with string strongly contradicts previous reports that it was first created tens of thousands of years later – and in a completely different country nevertheless.

Daniella Bar-Yosef Mayer, who is from Tel Aviv University and an author of the study, explained this further, “Modern humans collected unperforated cockle shells for symbolic purposes at 160,000 years ago or earlier, and around 120,000 they started collecting perforated shells and wearing them on a string. We conclude that strings, which had many more applications, were invented within this time frame.”

The shells belonged to the Glycymeris nummaria species of bivalve mollusks that are quite common in the Mediterranean as well as the northeastern part of the Atlantic. Researchers found that the Qafzeh people brought the perforated shells back to their cave which was located 40 kilometres (25 miles) away from the sea. Interestingly, researchers analyzed shells that were unearthed at Misliya Cave (on the northern coast of Israel) and found that the ancient inhabitants of the location (between 240,000 and 160,000 years ago) collected Glycymeris shells that weren’t perforated – or that didn’t have holes in them.

And since only about 40 percent of the Glycymeris shells found on the beach are naturally perforated, that would indicate that in ancient times, the shells with the holes in them were deliberately collected and then put on a string to make jewelry.

In order to test her hypothesis, Bar-Yosef Mayer conducted an experiment where she strung up shells using string that was made from wild flax and exposed it to different conditions that would cause it to eventually wear down, such as simulated sweat. The results were very interesting as she found that the use-wear patterns were consistent with those found on the Qafzeh shells, such as scratch marks that would have been created by the string and other scrapes that could have been caused by the beads banging against each other (like on a necklace or bracelet).

This is an incredible discovery as it appears that string was created tens of thousands of years earlier than previously thought and used for stylish jewelry during that time. A picture of the shells can be seen here.

Texas’ huge Big Thicket certainly lives up to its name: an 83,000-acre area, it is a sprawling mass of rivers, swampland, and incredibly dense woods where, according to legend: “You’ll find every critter in there from crickets to elephants.” Well, that’s not quite true, but it is home to something far stranger: the Ghost Lights; football-sized glowing orbs that float among the trees and zip along the tree-shrouded lanes late at night. Although sightings of the strange Ghost Lights have persisted since at least the 1940s, explanations for their presence are both varied and descriptive. Some people believe them to be merely the reflections of car headlamps; while, for the most part, the scientific community considers them to be something akin to swamp-gas. UFO proponents, however, note that legends tell of a UFO crash deep in the Big Thicket in 1964 – and which, some believe, may be indicative of an on-going alien presence in the area. Whatever the truth, late at night when the whole area is blanketed in darkness, the Big Thicket’s famous ‘Ghost Light Road’ affords the UFO-spotter a great chance to see the famous lights for his or herself.

They’re not headlights.

Somewhat similar in nature to the infamous Ghost Lights of the Big Thicket, the so-called Marfa Lights can be seen in the vicinity of the Texas town after which they are named. Reports describe brightly-lit, basketball-sizes spheres that float either just above the ground or sometimes high in the air. Colors are generally described as being yellow, orange, white or red – with green and blue lights occasionally reported, too. Sometimes traveling at high speeds, and at other times at a very slow pace, the Marfa Lights often appear in groups, to divide into pairs, and even merge together – disappearing and re-appearing in the blink of an eye. Eye-witness testimony suggests the Marfa Lights can persist from a mere second to possibly even several hours; and although predominantly a nocturnal phenomenon, are sometimes spied during sunset and sunrise, when the landscape is dimly illuminated. And for those who may want to check out the lights for themselves, the most profitable place to head for is south of U.S. Route 90 and U.S. Route 67, five-to-fifteen miles east of Marfa itself. Good hunting!

Like the Marfa Lights and the Ghost Lights of the Big Thicket, the Brown Mountain Lights of North Carolina are unidentified aerial phenomena that have regularly haunted the area for decades. For example, one of the earliest accounts on record dates from September 13, 1913, and was reported in the Charlotte Daily Observer newspaper. According to the story: a fisherman claimed to have seen ‘mysterious lights just above the horizon every night’, red in colour, and with a pronounced circular shape. Soon after this account surfaced, however, a United States Geological Survey employee, D.B. Stewart, studied the area in question and concluded the witnesses were simply mistaking train-lights for something stranger.

A more formal U.S. Geological Survey study was begun in 1922 and concluded, again, that witnesses were misidentifying train-lights, as well as lights from cars and camp-fires. However, according to a marker that can still be seen on the Blue Ridge Parkway to this day, a huge flood struck the area soon after the completion of the study. All electrical power was lost and trains were inoperable for a significant period of time. The Brown Mountain lights, however, continued to be seen. Paranormal expert and author Joshua P. Warren has extensively investigated the lights – and, in 2000, succeeded in capturing several on film – and is convinced that even though a definitive answer still eludes us, they are not merely the result of mistaken identity. For those keen to check out the area for themselves, one of the best vantage points is Wiseman’s View, which is situated approximately 4 miles from Linville Falls, North Carolina; while the best time of year to see the Brown Mountain Lights is reportedly from September to early November.

Can you tell the difference?

Official investigations within the U.K. of unusual aerial phenomena started during the First World War. One of the most notable reports can be found within the archives of the British Admiralty and dates from, rather incredibly, 1915. Prepared by a Lieutenant Colonel W.P. Drury, the Garrison Intelligence Officer at Plymouth Garrison, Devon, England, a four-page document tells the story. It concerns a series of strange events that occurred on the wilds of Dartmoor (the setting for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles). Lt. Col. Drury advised his superiors at the Admiralty that on 28 June 1915 he and a colleague, one Lt. C. Brownlow of Naval Intelligence, had interviewed a Miss Cecilia Peel Yates at Dolbeare Cottage, Ashburton, about an unusual experience: “She informed us that a few mornings previously, just before dawn, having been awakened by the barking of dogs, she saw from her bedroom window a bright light in the sky, bearing N., and apparently suspended a short distance above the earth. It was too large and bright for a planet, and, as she watched, it swung to the N.E., and disappeared. Haytor is due North of Ashburton and 4 miles distant as the crow files.”

Lt. Col. Drury and Lt. Brownlow were more than skeptical of Miss Peel Yates’s UFO-like encounter: “Although we had entirely failed to shake the lady’s evidence by cross-examination, we deemed her story so wildly improbable that we excluded it from our official report. But shortly afterwards reports of a similar phenomenon were received from the neighbourhood of Hexworthy Mine, which is 5 miles to the N.W., across Dartmoor. On July 12th, Lieutenant Brownlow and I proceeded to Sherril, near Hexworthy, and interviewed Mrs. Cave-Penny and her daughter, from whom the report emanated. Their house, an isolated form on the moor, commands a clear view of the mine, which is two-and-a-half miles distant. They stated that on several occasions they had watched a bright white light rise from a point a few hundred yards to the Eastward of the mine, swing across the valley to about the same from Totnes, and a paddock some distance West of it, and disappear.”

Sometimes it seems that weird stuff just sort of falls down from the sky. There are numerous cases of weird things coming down from above throughout history, often without solid answers. In recent years this has continued with a surprising amount of cases in which strange metallic orbs have come down out of nowhere to leave people scratching their heads and wondering what to make of it all. Here we will look at some bizarre instances of falling metallic orbs or spheres which have managed to evade any real concrete understanding.

In 2012, villagers in northern Brazil were startled when a metallic sphere dropped from the sky to crash down at the village of Riacho dos Poços, in Brazilian Maranhão state, obliterating a cashew tree in the process. The villager who first discovered it said that it had come down after a loud crack reverberated across the sky, and would say, “I heard the noise and I went out to see what caused it. I thought it was a plane that had fallen, or an earthquake.” What he found was a strange, otherworldly object in a ditch still hot to the touch, and described as being perfectly spherical and about 1 meter in diameter and weighing 50 kilograms. When other villagers arrived and dug it out, they found that the sphere seemed to be hollow, except for what seemed to be a bit of liquid swishing about within. Around 2,000 people from all over the area flocked in to see the “UFO,” and it created a panic among some of the more superstitious of the locals. Rather ominously, military police soon arrived and took the sphere away, saying that it was just a part of a downed satellite.

The Brazillian sphere

The state of Texas in the United States had a similar incident in 2013, when an electrician by the name of Dean Gentz spotted a weird object near a cow pasture on his land, near the town of Buna, in east Texas. Upon inspection, it could be seen that the object was a brown metallic orb around 35 centimeters in diameter and bearing signs that it had undergone extreme heat exposure. Gentz would say if it:

What I noticed when I first saw the object got my attention. The way one side of the sphere was melted – I didn’t think someone could have done that with a torch, plasma arc, arc gouge, or any other means I knew about. Also, when you heat metal, it will cool and have a different look. As in this case, the melted metal spalling was blown back over the sphere, I knew that it had been done in an ‘event,’ not by humans. I am not sure how many people would have noticed these things. Several people said they would have thrown it away.

Another mystery sphere would be found in a pasture in the same general area not long after, and despite Gentz’s efforts to figure out where it came from, he has gotten no answers from NASA or any other agency he has gone to for more information. In 2014, residents in Mengchang village in the province of Heilongjiang, China, were woken by a booming noise, after which three “fireballs” were spotted descending from the heavens. These fireballs proceeded to land in some farming areas, and when the locals went to investigate they purportedly found three separate “metallic balls half-covered by a layer of jagged edge,” weighing around 90 pounds and with a diameter of about 30 inches. Once again, officials reportedly were quick to move in to confiscate the strange objects, and offered the explanation that they were debris from Proton-M Russian rocket carrying a satellite, which had plummeted to earth somewhere in Kazakhstan after a failed launch. Is that what this was or is it something more mysterious? The Chinese officials aren’t saying.

The following year would see several other instances of mystery spheres falling from the sky. In 2015, three “strange black orbs” appeared within impact craters in fields in the area in and around the town of Villavieja, Spain. Each of the weird black objects was estimated to be 80 centimeters in diameter with a hole at one end and appeared to built around wire frames. One news outlet El Vardad, would report that it was a “pressure vessel for gas (COPV), possibly from a space station or flying saucer. These objects are made of an unknown material – and appear strong enough to survive reentry into the earth and even catastrophic explosions.” Interestingly, the civil guard soon moved in to guard the area and keep the press from getting close. The mayor of Villavieja would say:

Where are these objects coming from? Why are they falling here precisely? Will more fall, and what would happen if any of these balls fall into a highly populated area? Citizens have real concerns about what is happening and deserve an explanation. These objects are made of a material so strong it survives almost intact upon falling to earth and can cause catastrophic explosions.

That same year, a goat farmer in the town of Calasparra, Spain, reported that a cylindrical, semi-spherical metallic object had crashed down right before his eyes. Officials in biohazard suits reportedly retrieved the object and drove it off in a truck. Bizarrely, at around the same time on the same day and even at the same latitude, a similar object fell on a beach near the city of Sakarya Karasu, Turkey. Once again, military officials immediately moved in, took the object away, and didn’t even bother to offer an explanation.

In January of 2016, news began making the rounds that “giant metal space balls” were falling from the sky in Vietnam. On different occasions, a “thunder-like noise” was heard, and three orbs of varying size ranging from 6 to 50 kg in weight appeared out of clear skies to crash into the ground below in close proximity to each other. The first reportedly came down at a garden in Yen Bai Province, the second crashed into the roof of a house around 2 miles away, and third and largest of the spheres came down at a stream in the neighboring province of Tuyen Quang. One of the spheres was found to be hollow, while another had Russian letters written upon it, leading to speculation that they were from a Russian satellite or weather balloon, or the compressed air tanks of a rocket or an aircraft.  At least that is the official prognosis, but others have disagreed, for instance UFOlogist and conspiracy nut Scott Waring of UFO Sightings Daily, who called them “alien drones or parts of damaged alien structures in space,” and he has said:

I believe these are cloud orbs otherwise known as alien drones that were struck by lightning or shot down. Alien tech does not usually have wires and loose circuits like our tech has. Alien tech is on a micro scale and is built into the metal of the craft itself. Much like a 3d printer printing the wires inside of a toy robot so when it’s finished, all you do is add the batteries. Alien tech has it all built in, except for their propulsion system.

Such conspiracies have only further been fueled by reports that military officials were quick to come whisk the spheres away, and claims that they were made of an unknown “special alloy.” The orbs remain unidentified and have been confiscated by the government for testing. What is going on here? Finally, in 2018 three metallic spherical objects were found in Peru’s southeastern Andean community, shortly after reports had come in of blazing objects in the sky. Officials who retrieved the objects claimed that they were pieces of a rocket or satellite that had burned up and melted on re-entry, although others claimed they were meteorites. So which is it?

In the end it is all rather puzzling. These things keep falling from the sky and there doesn’t seem to be a real, agreed upon answer to it all. Are these just instances of meteorites or pieces of space debris? Why is it that in almost every case officials swoop in to take it all away and give vague answers, if any? What is going on here? It is hard to say, but such reports keep coming in and stirring discussion and debate.

Hey, I found this face way back in 2004, one year before Youtube existed. I did make a video of it about twelve years ago, but the quality is fuzzy and blurry. So I made a new one in HD. 

The face has remarkable detail to it. It has a face that is a combination of a human face with a cat. The face is an alien species and does depict the true features of the aliens face. This tells us so much. They have technology on their face, maybe to help them do more. The right side cheek has a bulky tech section that has some unknown function. There is also tech going over the right eye and into the left ear. But thats not the amazing thing. The truly mind blowing thing is that there is a third eye. Yes, is golden unlike the other two red eyes. It may have a use or may be symbolic. The third eye is suppose to be a metal ability to transcend space and time and transport you to a plain of higher consciousness. Also, did you notice the green in the area on the face? There is a grass like plant growing around there. Green...on Mars? This is 100% proof that intelligent life and plant life exist on Mars. But the real question is...how would humans react if standing infant of an alien with this face?

Agiant bat appears to have been caught by military personnel in the Philippines some time ago. This animal is probably some species of mega-bat, referred to as a golden-crowned flying fox. 

The flying fox is one of the largest bat species in the world, though, belonging to the family of mega-bats that are found in parts of Africa, India, Asia, and Oceania. do reach wingspans of 1.7 meters, their bodies are barely extending 30 centimetres in length.

Although these bats look very creepy, don't worry, there's nothing to fear, rather than sucking blood like a vampire, they are entirely vegetarian as their diet is made up of simply nectar and fruit.

Triangle-UFO landed in Anchorage, Alaska?

NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover has started a road trip that will continue through the summer across roughly a mile (1.6 km) of terrain. By trip’s end, the rover will be able to ascend to the next section of the 3-mile-tall (5-km-tall) Martian mountain – called Mount Sharp – that it’s been exploring since 2014, searching for conditions that may have supported ancient microbial life.

Located on the floor of Gale Crater, Mount Sharp is composed of sedimentary layers that built up over time. Each layer helps tell the story about how Mars changed from being more Earth-like – with lakes, streams and a thicker atmosphere – to the nearly-airless, freezing desert it is today.

The rover’s next stop is a part of the mountain called the “sulfate-bearing unit.” Sulfates, like gypsum and Epsom salts, usually form around water as it evaporates, and they are yet another clue to how the climate and prospects for life changed nearly 3 billion years ago.

But between the rover and those sulfates lies a vast patch of sand that Curiosity must drive around to avoid getting stuck. Hence the mile-long road trip: Rover planners – who are commanding Curiosity from home rather than from their offices at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California – expect to reach the area in early fall, although the science team could decide to stop along the way to drill a sample or study any surprises they come across.

Depending on the landscape, Curiosity’s top speeds range between 82-328 feet (25-100 meters) per hour. Some of this summer road trip will be completed using the rover’s automated driving abilities, which enable Curiosity to find the safest paths forward on its own. Rover planners allow for this when they lack terrain imagery. (Planners hope for more autonomy in the future; in fact, you can help train an algorithm that identifies Martian drive paths.)

Matt Gildner is lead rover driver at JPL. He said:

Curiosity can’t drive entirely without humans in the loop. But it does have the ability to make simple decisions along the way to avoid large rocks or risky terrain. It stops if it doesn’t have enough information to complete a drive on its own.

In journeying to the “sulfate-bearing unit,” Curiosity leaves behind Mount Sharp’s “clay-bearing unit,” which the robotic scientist had been investigating on the lower side of the mountain since early 2019. Scientists are interested in the watery environment that formed this clay and whether it could have supported ancient microbes.

Extending across both the clay unit and the sulfate unit is a separate feature: the “Greenheugh Pediment,” a slope with a sandstone cap. It likely represents a major transition in the climate of Gale Crater. At some point, the lakes that filled the 96-mile-wide (154-kilometer-wide) crater disappeared, leaving behind sediments that eroded into the mountain we see today. The pediment formed later (though whether from wind or water erosion remains unknown); then windblown sand blanketed its surface, building into the sandstone cap.

The northern end of the pediment spans the clay region, and though the slope is steep, the rover’s team decided to ascend Greenheugh back in March for a preview of terrain they’ll see later in the mission. As Curiosity peeked over the top, scientists were surprised to find small bumps along the sandstone surface.

Alexander Bryk is a doctoral student at University of California, Berkeley who led the pediment detour. Bryk said:

Nodules like these require water in order to form. We found some in the windblown sandstone on top of the pediment and some just below the pediment. At some point after the pediment formed, water seems to have returned, altering the rock as it flowed through it.

These bumps may look familiar to Mars rover fans: One of Curiosity’s predecessors, the Opportunity rover, found similar geologic textures dubbed “blueberries” back in 2004. Nodules have become a familiar sight throughout Mount Sharp, though these newly discovered ones are different in composition from what Opportunity found. They suggest water was present in Gale long after the lakes disappeared and the mountain took its present shape. The discovery extends the period when the crater hosted conditions capable of supporting life, if it ever was present.

JPL’s Abigail Fraeman served as deputy project scientist for both missions. She said:

Curiosity was designed to go beyond Opportunity’s search for the history of water. We’re uncovering an ancient world that offered life a foothold for longer than we realized.

Four of these strange objects have been detected. All of them are circular in shape, and three are particularly bright around the edges - like a ring, or a bubble that is more opaque around the edges.

An international team of astronomers led by astrophysicist Ray Norris of Western Sydney University in Australia has nicknamed them ORCs - short for "Odd Radio Circles" - in a new paper posted to arXiv and submitted to Nature Astronomy, where it awaits peer review.

"Circular features are well-known in radio astronomical images, and usually represent a spherical object such as a supernova remnant, a planetary nebula, a circumstellar shell, or a face-on disc such as a protoplanetary disc or a star-forming galaxy," the researchers write in their paper.

"They may also arise from imaging artefacts around bright sources caused by calibration errors or inadequate deconvolution. Here we report the discovery of a class of circular feature in radio images that do not seem to correspond to any of these known types of object or artefact, but rather appear to be a new class of astronomical object."

The ORCs were first spotted in data collected during the late 2019 Pilot Survey of the Evolutionary Map of the Universe (EMU) conducted using the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder, one of the world's most sensitive radio telescope arrays.

When scientists began looking at the images collected, they spotted a strange, faint circle. They then spotted another, and then another still. Once might just be a glitch. Three seems somewhat more significant.

Even so, it could still be a quirk of the instrument, or a local detection, like the time the Parkes Observatory was detecting a microwave oven. That seems unlikely, given the stringent efforts to maintain a radio quiet zone at the ASKAP site, but it's not completely out of the question.

That possibility was put to rest when the fourth ORC was discovered - in archival data, collected in 2013 with the Giant MetreWave Radio Telescope, a few years before ASKAP was switched on. Follow-up observations of ORC 1 and ORC 2 using a different telescope, the Australia Telescope Compact Array, also revealed the objects.

And they certainly are odd. All four ORCs are at high galactic latitudes, at some distance from the galactic plane, and are around 1 arcminute in diameter. That's around 3 percent of the size of the Moon in the night sky, but since we don't know how far away they are, that may not mean much.

All four are also only visible in radio wavelengths - they are completely invisible in X-ray, optical, or infrared wavelengths.

It's possible that they could be linked to galactic activity, but only two of the ORCs have an optical galaxy near the centre of the radio emission. One of the ORCs looks somewhat different - ORC 3 appears to be more of a uniform disc, compared to the more ring-like appearance of the other four.

You might be thinking, "Hey, that description sounds a little bit like a supernova remnant or a planetary nebula", and you would not be wrong. But the researchers already thought of that. For planetary nebulae, the radio spectral index is not consistent with the radio spectral index of the ORCs.

As for supernova remnants, the problem is with numbers. The EMU survey only looked at a small patch of the sky, and detected three ORCs. For that to be likely, there would need to be at least 50,000 supernova remnants in the Milky Way. We know of only around 350.

The team believes that whatever is causing the ORCs is likely outside the Milky Way, like a giant spherical shockwave from some massive event.

"Several such classes of transient events, capable of producing a spherical shock wave, have recently been discovered, such as fast radio bursts, gamma-ray bursts, and neutron star mergers. However, because of the large angular size of the ORCs, any such transients would have taken place in the distant past," the researchers write in their paper.

"It is also possible that the ORCs represent a new category of a known phenomenon, such as the jets of a radio galaxy or blazar when seen end-on, down the 'barrel' of the jet. Alternatively, they may represent some remnant of a previous outflow from a radio galaxy."

There could also be more than one cause of the ORCs. It really is an intriguing mystery. But the scientists seem pretty convinced of one thing - that what we're looking at is a new phenomenon or new detection of a known phenomenon, and not a repeat of that time in 2018 an astronomer "discovered" Mars.

We might not have to wait long to find out more. In their data, the team also identified six even fainter candidate ORCs that could be followed up, to help shed some more light on this strange phenomenon. Anyone got a really good radio telescope?

The research has been submitted to Nature Astronomy, and is available on arXiv.

Half Cloaked Craft Seen In Sky Over Kentucky, MUFON Report, UFO Sighting News.

Here is a really strange photo of a half cloaked craft over Kentucky this week. The object has one wing visible and the other 90% invisible. It looks like the person caught sight of it at the moment it raised or lowered its cloaking shields. The Eyewitness says its the size of a commercial airliner. Now thats huge. But when something flies that high, most people never bother looking on hot sunny days because its too bright in the sky and hurts their eyes. Nice capture and any craft with a cloaking device is 100% alien.

Approx 8:40 pm my girlfriend (Myrna) and myself was swimming. We were about to get out of the pool when Myrna said "Look at the plane". When I observed the craft it had no visible wings and a large maroon arc shape object at the nose of the craft. The craft was about the same size as a commercial aircraft, and was flying west to east. I assume the craft was between 12,000 and 15,000 ft because of the low level clouds in the area. The craft made no sound as it passed over our heads. We observed the craft until it went behind a low level cloud, but did not exit the other side of the cloud.

Planet 9? Or a Black Hole?

Remember hearing about Planet 9 a while back? That’s astronomer Mike Brown’s designation for a planet that he thinks is out there in the outer solar system. So far, it remains elusive, despite everybody’s best observational efforts. (Of course, we already have a planet 9, called Pluto, so to avoid confusion, it sometimes gets referred to as Planet X.)

So, why does Mike thinks he’s got gravitational evidence of a massive world somewhere out in the Kuiper Belt? Essentially, he has observed the changes in orbital motions of bodies “out there”, and imputes those changes to the gravitational effect of a planet hiding somewhere. If it exists as a planet (and not, say, a loosely-bound clump of large planetoids or something), then eventually someone should be able to catch a glimpse of it as it reflects light, or emits a little heat (since it would be warmer than surrounding space). But, so far, nobody’s seen this possible planet.

Black Holes in the Outer Solar System

What if it’s not a planet? What if it’s something massive, but not another world? Say, like a black hole? That’s the conjecture behind a new method that two astronomers at Harvard have devised. They suggest that a small, planet-mass black hole could also exert a gravitational tug on objects in the outer solar system, perturbing their orbits. The method, developed by Dr. Avi Loeb and graduate student Amir Siraj, suggests searching for emissions as the black hole swallows up material.

How would that work? Well, if there’s really a black hole out there, it’s probably continually accreting matter. Its “food” would come in the form of gas and dust from interplanetary space, and the breakup of bodies in the Oort Cloud or Kuiper Belt. That accretion action creates higher temperatures in the region around the black hole. Any frozen bodies, such as cometary nuclei, would start to melt as they passed by. Eventually, they’d be too weak to keep their structural integrity, and they’d break apart. Once that happens, their material swirls into the black hole. That process emits radiation.

Look for the Hungry Black Hole.

So, the idea is to search for flares of this radiation when “stuff” near the black hole is superheated in the accretion disk. It’s about the only way that a black hole gets “lit up”. Otherwise, it’s invisible to the eye. But, the radiation emitted from the accretion disk is detectable. And, if a hungry black hole is gobbling up comet nuclei bits and pieces, or material from rocky bodies that collide “out there”, then the flares from that feast would show up in our detectors.

So, Why Go After Planet 9?

So, why pick Planet 9 as a possible study subject for this method? For one thing, it’s relatively close by, as such things go. That makes it a good subject to try out the method before using it on more distant objects. Whatever it is has a measurable gravitational effect on bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune (that’s how Mike discovered it).

Interestingly, a black hole at the same distance would do the same thing. And, right now, nobody has detected any light or other radiation from a possible planetary body in the supposed “regime” where the suggested Planet 9 exists. But, Brown laid some groundwork for testing the idea, since he’s found “something” that remains unknown. Loeb has suggested that a grapefruit-sized black hole with a mass five or ten times that of Earth could have the same effect as a massive planetary body (or dwarf planet body) like the proposed Planet 9.

Modeling a Black Hole Instead of Planet 9

So far, this is all a theoretical model. And, it’s not the first time that astronomers have suggested the idea of Planet 9 as a black hole. There are a lot of riddles to solve.

For one thing, planet-mass black holes are a relatively new concept. Yet, astronomers study stellar-mass and supermassive black holes, as well as intermediate-mass ones. So, they can extrapolate some of what they know about the big black holes to understand planet-mass ones. As far as I know, none have actually been discovered, so that’s another problem to solve.

But, the idea of a black hole with a few times the mass of Earth affecting orbits of distant solar system objects is intriguing. And, it can be studied. The LSST telescope at the Vera Rubin Observatory in Chile covers large areas of the sky very quickly. The idea is to point it at a broad region where the supposed Planet 9/Black Hole candidate may exist. The large field of view of the VRO telescope would be very useful since nobody knows exactly where the object lies. it’s kind of like aiming at the broad side of a bar to look for a nail in one board.

The Outer Solar System as a Treasury

We all know that the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud regions teem with remnants of solar system formation. There’s a storehouse out there of the ices that existed in our protosolar nebula. Now, they exist safe in the coldest regions of the planetary system, well away from the Sun. That makes those objects treasuries of material that predate the Sun and planets.

I think it would be pretty cool if those regions also harbored black holes. The smallest black holes (the micros and the minis) are largely thought to be theoretical. Finding a planet-mass black hole in our backyard would actually be a major discovery. It would be even cooler than a theoretical Pluto-killer planet that, so far, hasn’t been seen.

Galactic Superwave...Something is Emanating From the Centre of the Universe

Interdisciplinary scientist Dr. Paul LaViolette shared his theories on such topics as galactic waves and pulsar communications. He believes there is evidence for a cycle of galactic superwaves that emanate from the center of galaxy and wreak cataclysmic earth changes when they arrive here. Such blasts of cosmic rays cause the sun to become more active and trigger climate change, earthquakes and mass extinctions, he said. Correlating this to the Hopi Prophecy of the Blue Star, which talks about the ending of a world, he noted that “when the galactic core erupts it would give off a bluish-white light.”

There is a 90% chance that a superwave could arrive in the next 300-400 years, said LaViolette, who related that every ancient culture or civilization has stories about this, such as the Great Flood. Further, he believes that an advanced race of galactic beings has been attempting to warn us of the superwaves using pulsars as their communication method. The pulsars do not appear to be natural and convey a geometrical message by pointing to locations of previous super novas, he said. Using neutron stars as their power source, the pulsars could also be employed as a guidance system for interstellar travel, he added.

International Space Station captured a fleet of hundreds of UFOs heading towards Earth

If you are one of those who are curious by nature, NASA has a YouTube channel full of interesting videos, and among them is a live broadcast of the International Space Station (ISS). Recently, the ISS was moving at an undetermined location on Earth, and International Space Station captured a fleet of hundreds of UFOs

Gorden McKenna was the one who detected these anomalies in space and posted a video on April 2 that showed the ufos moving towards the earth

“Fleet (hundreds) of UFOs pass through the ISS,” says the video description.

As McKenna himself explained, he was watching the space station’s camera live when he observed the presence of strange objects moving towards earth. At first he thought they might be satellites or meteorites, but their speed increased, and after a few minutes they disappeared without a trace.

And as expected, the video has caused all kinds of reactions on social networks. There were many who thought that it could be a top-secret fleet of alien technology ships from the United States Air Force, more specifically the Space Force. 

Recall that, in late 2019, Donald Trump described space as the “newest domain in the world to fight a war . ” The Space Force must help deter aggression and control the “highest advantage position.”

The intention of this new military branch is to protect US facilities. in space, like satellites that are used for communication and surveillance. The Space Force will build on the work of the existing US Space Command. (SpaceCom), which was created in August to manage US military operations. in the space.

But skeptics offered other explanations. They said it appears to correspond to Earth, with thunderstorms at first and also city lights. Others suggested that it could be meteorites, and even Starlink satellites, sent by Elon Musk’s SpaceX since its launch in 2018 that have caused many people to mistake them for UFO sightings.

Although there is another possibility. the current coronavirus pandemic will be the beginning of an extraterrestrial invasion. It would all start with a virus that simply eradicates a large part of the planet’s population and reduces any possibility of defense. Then it would be a war between weakened humans and aliens.

Today the coronavirus pandemic is completely uncontrolled. The death toll exceeds 60,000 and there are more than 1 million positive cases in the world. The truth is that more and more people are convinced that the coronavirus pandemic hides something much more sinister, and with the population in mandatory confinement in their homes, this would be the ideal time to start the alien invasion.

The Book of Enoch, its descriptions of space travel and other celestial dimensions

The Book of Enoch narrates Enoch’s travels off Earth, supernatural and heavenly places inaccessible to other human beings!

The impressive and fantastic Book of Enoch is one of the most important ancient texts , unfortunately it was excluded from the Bible .

In this writing, the patriarch and antediluvian prophet Enoch made supernatural trips, managing to fly over the Earth, the celestial bodies and reaching the dimension of the Heavens.

The Book of Enoch was almost introduced into the Bible but was rejected as “apocryphal. ” However, Enoch is a respected patriarch and is mentioned several times by other Biblical and Christian authors.

 He was the great-grandfather of Noah and the father of Methuselah .

The holy book says that Enoch passed the texts on to Noah, so he likely took them with him on the Ark during the Universal Flood (an antediluvian writing?).

The first section of the book narrates the fall of the Watchers, the angels who had sex with human women, and fathered the Nephilim. Then Enoch’s ascension into the dimension of Heaven is described, with the aim of interceding before God (for the Watchers).

The first ascent appears from chapter 17 to 36. 

The prophet made the journey with the help of other Watcher angels. 

He was “elevated” with mysterious forces that included natural elements: clouds, winds, lightning, and shooting stars.

Heaven was formed with gigantic glass or ice houses surrounded by fire . 

The visions are amazing and scary, the sky is extreme! With materials as different as ice and fire in harmony. 

Also, it is noted that this celestial dimension had a lot of energy, with its movement of lightning and shooting stars.

Enoch finds a house or dwelling made entirely of fire. In it, a high throne is seated , made of a material that looked like ice or crystal and surrounded by a shining star and fire:

20 The Great Glory was based on the throne and his dress looked brighter than the sun and whiter than any snow; 21 no angel could enter to see his face due to the magnificent Glory and no flesh being could look at him. – Book of Enoch, chapter 14 ».

This is the vision of God !

Enoch traveled the surroundings of the Earth with the help of the angel Uriel, where he saw the place where the stars are “kept” during the day and where the rain and snow are kept.

 In addition, he speoke of a mysterious force in the form of wind, around the Earth and other stars :

1 I saw the treasures of the winds and I saw that with them He has adorned all creation and the foundations of the earth; 2 and I also saw the cornerstone of the earth and the four winds that support the Earth and the firmament; 3 I saw how the winds extend the veil of heaven above and how they have their place between heaven and earth: they are the columns of heaven; 4 I saw the winds that rotate and drive through the orbits of the sun and the stars in their rooms. – Book of Enoch, chapter 18.

He’s talking about the orbits of the stars!

In chapters 21-27 the Abyss is visited, a fearful place with columns of divine fire . Uriel explains that the Fallen Angels who introduced the sin of human sacrifice to demons will be locked in that abyss.

It should be noted that there are other books attributed to Enoch. In the so-called Book 3 other detailed surreal journey of Enoch to heaven and where the prophet grows into the archangel Metatron !.

The information presented by the Book of Enoch is extensive and important. 

His visions of the heavenly dimensions are significant and amazing. 

According to the Hebrew Bible, the Heavens, the dimension of the god Yahweh, cannot be accessed by human beings . 

Enoch was an exception (before Jesus) and that makes him a very special prophet .

Famous Jurassic Park dinosaur the Dilophosaurus 'was bigger and more powerful' than the 1993 film shows - but it couldn't spit venom, new fossils reveal

Dilophosaurus, a dinosaur made famous by Jurassic Park that lived 183 million years ago, was 'bigger and more powerful' than the movie made it appear, study shows. 

Researchers from the University of Texas studied Dilophosaurus fossils to better understand this 'pop culture dinosaur' and paint a true picture of its size.

In Jurassic Park the beast was depicted as a small lizard-like, venom-spitting dinosaur with a rattling frill around its neck and two paddle-like crests on its head.

Until now very little was actually known about the actual Dilophosaurus, giving filmmakers and storytellers more licence to 'use their imagination'. 

The Texas team discovered that Dilophosaurus was far from the 'small lizard' seen in Jurassic park, it was the largest land animal of its time, reaching up to 20ft. 

Hollywood made the Dilophosaurus famous, depicting it as almost adorable little creature with a hidden, deadly twist. But a new study shows that it was a lot bigger and more powerful than scientists, or movie makers, previously thought

Dilophosaurus lived 183 million years ago during the Early Jurassic and 'had a lot in common' with modern birds, including air sacks in its bones.

'It's pretty much the best, worst-known dinosaur,' said lead author Adam Marsh. 'Until this study, nobody knew what Dilophosaurus looked like or how it evolved.'

Seeking answers to these questions, Marsh conducted an analysis of the five most-complete Dilophosaurus specimens so far discovered around the world. 

The analysis is co-authored by Timothy Rowe from the University of Texas, who discovered two of the five Dilophosaurus specimens that were studied by Marsh.

The study adds clarity to a muddled record dating back to the first Dilophosaurus fossil to be discovered - that specimen set the standard for future discoveries. 

That fossil was rebuilt with plaster, but the 1954 paper describing the find isn't clear about what was reconstructed or the decisions made in the reconstruction. 

Scientists have found evidence that the Dilophosaurus' skull served as scaffolding for powerful jaw muscles, shattering the image of the dinosaur as more fragile and svelte that has been promoted in scientific literature and popular culture

Peter Makovicky, a palaeontologist from the University of Minnesota not involved in the study, said this made discovering the true nature of the dinosaur difficult. 

Early descriptions characterise the dinosaur as having a fragile crest and weak jaws, a description that influenced the depiction of Dilophosaurus in the 'Jurassic Park' book and movie as a svelte dinosaur that subdued its prey with venom.

In the movie the dinosaur is also shown as being able to reveal a rattling neck frill when confronting prey.

Marsh found no evidence for the rattling frill around its neck or signs of venom, adding that they were purely constructs of the Jurassic Park book and movie.  

Marsh spent seven years looking at the three most complete Dilophosaurus skeletons and other more recently discovered remains to pain an accurate picture.

His evidence suggests the dinosaur was almost the opposite of what Jurassic Park showed - with jawbones serving as scaffolding for powerful muscles and signs the creature was a giant beast, reaching up to 20ft in length.

It would have been about half the size of a fully grown T. Rex and weighed up to three quarters of a ton - so it could have taken on very large prey.

'Dilophosaurus is clearly built for being a big macropredator,' Marsh told National Geographic. 'It's a large-bodied animal that was built for eating other animals.' 

He also found that some bones were mottled with air pockets, which would have helped reinforce the skeleton, including its dual crest.

'They're kind of like bubble wrap - the bone is protected and strengthened,' he said.

These air sacs are not unique to Dilophosaurus, it is something they have in common with modern birds and the world's most massive dinosaurs.

In both cases, the air sacs lighten the load, which helped big dinosaurs manage their bulky bodies and also allow birds take to the skies.

Many birds use the air sacs to perform other functions, from inflating stretchy areas of skin during mating rituals, to creating booming calls and dispersing heat. 

The intricate array of air pockets and ducts that extend from Dilophosaurus' sinus cavity into its crests means that the dinosaur may have been able to perform similar feats with its headgear. 

That headgear is one feature Jurassic Park did get right, according to Marsh. He said it did have a double crest across the top of its snout that was a 'display feature'.

'It has those two thin bony crests running along the top of its skull, basically from the nostril and back over the eye socket,' Makovicky told National Geographic. 

To learn more about how the fossils compared with one another, Marsh recorded hundreds of anatomical characteristics of each fossil. 

He then used an algorithm to see how the specimens compared with the first fossil - which confirmed that they were indeed all Dilophosaurus.

The algorithm also revealed that there's a significant evolutionary gap between Dilophosaurus and its closest dinosaur relatives, which indicates there are probably many other relatives yet to be discovered.

The revised Dilophosaurus record will help paleontologists better identify specimens going forward and Marsh said that the research is already being put into action. 

In the midst of his analysis, he discovered that a small braincase in the Jackson School's collections belonged to a Dilophosaurus.

'We realized that it wasn't a new type of dinosaur, but a juvenile Dilophosaurus, which is really cool,' Marsh said. 

The findings were published in the Journal of Paleontology.

It’s crop circle season and that usually means the next story originates somewhere in the UK where the majority of them occur. That’s not the case with three recent circles which appeared in France, Poland and Hungary. British crop circle stories generally focus on their intricate designs which cause many to believe they could not be human made. That’s not the case with one of the three recent circles which appeared in France, Poland and Hungary. However, it doesn’t appear to be aliens either. In fact, this simple crop circle is being linked to an unusual yet natural phenomena … one that Russians claim they have proof to be the cause of many of them.

Crop Circle Connector, an excellent source of photographs and information, says that the crop circle (photos here), which was reported on July 5th in an unnamed field in Vimy in the Pas-de-Calais department in far north France, an area more known for mining than farms or crop circles. Another Templar-style cross appeared within a Crop Circle that manifested itself in the wheat fields, and this time, in France, the home of the Order of the Templars (in fact the cross is very similar to that of Malta , of that derivative). The website segnidalcielo.com points out its resemblance to the cross of the Knights Templar, the Malta or Iron Cross or the cross of the Anunnaki and it appeared on night of the rare penumbral lunar eclipse (June 4). Throw in its similarity to the X in Planet X and you’ve got what’s moist likely the makings of circle made by humans looking to confuse.

The crop circle reported in Orchów, Poland, on July 3rd is unusual because of its size (“one hundred and several dozen meters” or around 160 feet) and the fact that it looks incomplete (photo here). A closer inspection convinced the UFO organization posting it that it was manmade.

That brings us to the crop circle in Hungary. This one was reported on July 3rd to the Nagykanzsa Online website by engineer and self-described UFO researcher László Tóth (photos here). Located between Kiskanizsa and Bajcsa in eastern Poland near the Croatian border, Tóth went to inspect it with a news crew (video here) and decided it wasn’t made by a human nor a ufo/aliens nor something paranormal like “footprint of the devil’s hoof” (must be some Polish legend). Instead, he claims it was made by lightning … and not a bolt or a ball from a cloud.

“The other is when billions of charges start from the ground. It happens so fast that it cannot be seen with the naked eye. So there is a lightning that strikes from above and there is one that strikes from the bottom up. In this case – we were taught – if it taps from the bottom up – my thumb shows the direction of the current – the electromagnetic field will wrap to the left. So it is counterclockwise.”

That could explain why the circle has no design and no burn marks. Before you scoff (at least put your mask on first), the lightning theory is supported by various Russian scientists. In a 2010 article in The National, physicists from the Joint Institute of High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences suggest vortices formed in unstable air can create the circles and swirls seen in crops, and ball lightning is their likely suspect. In 2005, UPI reported that a different group of Russian researchers demonstrated how microwaves bent cereal stalks and used an artificial lightning device to bend grass into clockwise circles.

Tóth seems to be the only one touting lightning from the ground as the cause of crop circles … so far. It’s the kind of solution that satisfies those who want to believe they’re not human made but don’t believe it’s aliens.

Personally, this writer would like to hear some more about the “footprint of the devil’s hoof” kind.
