June 11. The gentleman speaking on the video asked if anyone else saw it and if anyone knew what it was. No one seemed to think it was a UFO. Most people said it was the the lunar eclipse. In the video he said it wasn’t a fire but that he saw vapour. Whatever it was it was giving off enough heat to cause vapour in the cold temperatures we have at night.

This object was sighted as the witness was coming into land at San Juan in Puerto Rico and of the bat we can tell that this is not a reflection from a light inside the plane as when the buildings we see that the object goes behind them and remerges. If this is another plane then where is the Navigation lights, These should blink every two to three seconds and in the footage their are no blinking lights. As for a boat this would have to be a pretty fast & big boat to keep pace with the airplane. So what do you guys think this could be??

This object seen to look like the classic saucer shape craft and could these crafts making a return? The object looks metallic with the sun shining upon the top part of the UFO leaving the bottom part a darker gray color. Certain parts of this object's movement it seem to be spinning and this would be what you would see from a flying saucer. I only wished that they filmed for longer but i would rather have this than nothing at all...

On vacation with my husband we enjoy sitting and talking on the beach in the evenings and listening to the waves. On June 13th we were sitting on the beach and heard someone say what is that? We looked to our left and 2 reddish orbs were above the beach almost looked like they were flying towards us. We watched a couple minutes or so trying to come up with an explanation of what they could be but we have seen tons of helicopters and planes in the skies at night and it was clearly not either one. They never moved away from one another , they stayed the same distance from each other and didn’t appear to be carried by wind. By the time I got my phone out to record them one just seemed to dim out, not long after the other did the same. Not sure what we saw but it seemed to also puzzle the others on the beach around us.
While searching a Ceres map I noticed that the map was deliberately lightened by NASA to hide the details. So I added some contrast and the things started popping out. Adding too much light, making photos black and white and also using false color (mars photos) to confuse the public so that we don't notice the alien artifacts on the surface of the moons and planets. But once you become use to this...its easy to focus it and restore the photo to its original glory most the time.
This UFO is parked in a crater, where most the UFOs I find on planets and moons are commonly found. The crater is about 25km by 35km more or less and that would make the size of this spaceship 5km from wing tip to wing tip. It could easily carry tens of thousands of passengers. It's like a small city inside this craft.
Can you imagine what Elon Musk would say if he knew about this craft? I bet it would be, "I'll get there in 30 days." But I'm sure Elon Musk gets alot of alien tech from DARPA program. They leak it out bit by bit to get it into the public sectors. I think even President Biden has no clue to the existence of this alien spacecraft and others out there. Even US presidents are kept on a need to know basis about aliens and alien tech.

UFO sightings have increased dramatically ever since the pandemic began and I might add...the UFOs have been getting stranger and stranger looking. This one was spotted over a shopping area of Richland Hills, Texas and if you look carefully you will notice that its darker on both ends, yet lighter in between. It also rotates on end. What odd is its out during the daytime...and its allowing itself to be seen uncloaked. It's very possible this object is hovering over a location that is of particular interest to it. Maybe a hospital or residence of a person infected with covid...with a special immunity or reaction never before seen. Something important sits below this UFO.

As for the existence of extraterrestrial life, the lawmakers largely left the secrets inside the surveillance-proof room, declining to tell reporters what they learned.
But some did voice concerns that the UFOs — which may be espionage assets controlled by America’s foreign adversaries, in a possible explanation just slightly less terrifying than the vanguard of an alien invasion — could pose a danger to national security.

“We take the issue of unexplained aerial phenomena seriously to the extent that we’re dealing with the safety and security of US military personnel or the national security interests of the United States, so we want to know what we’re dealing with,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY).
“I think it’s important to understand that there are legitimate questions involving the safety and security of our personnel, and in our operations and in our sensitive activities, and we all know that there’s [a] proliferation of technologies out there,” he continued. “We need to understand the space a little bit better.”
Added Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.), “You know it’s always about our safety and security — our national security is [priority] number one — and so that’s really the area where we really focused on this morning.”

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the committee chairman, implied that the briefing was eye-opening, but also declined to get into specifics ahead of the release of a public report.
“It was an interesting briefing,” he said. “I did learn things that were certainly new to me. But I think I’m going to leave it at that.”
Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), who has been heading efforts on the UFO inquiry, said Americans should expect an eventual public hearing on the report’s findings.
“We’re looking forward to having a public hearing at some point,” he said. “I mean, there’s some national security concerns that we want to take into consideration.”

Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) said that, if anything, the landmark report shows that UFOs are finally being taken seriously.

Referencing the 1997 sci-fi flick “Contact” — adapted from a Carl Sagan novel — Quigley admitted that the report won’t have all the answers and that some things remain unexplainable.

We are about to discover if the UFO truth IS out there: As Barack Obama hints they may not be a hoax, a Senate report is poised to lay bare the real X-Files. Here, a defense expert says they could be earth-shattering
President Biden has been in office less than a year but now, in the midst of grappling with the coronavirus and with a wealth of other issues on his plate, he is facing perhaps the biggest question of all: are we alone?
The idea that we may share our universe with alien life is far from new, and there have been regular sightings of UFOs — Unidentified Flying Objects — for decades.
But these have, until recently, been dismissed as hoaxes, or misinterpretations of natural phenomena.
Despite Hollywood’s enthusiasm for the subject, the U.S. Defense Department has always downplayed the significance of such reports and sightings.
Now, however, no less a figure than Barack Obama has raised the stakes by admitting on The Late Show that, when President, he asked whether there was a lab somewhere ‘where we’re keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?’

The answer was no, but he did acknowledge the existence of objects without an ‘easily explainable pattern’.
His comments come days after U.S. fighter pilots revealed seeing Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) off the coast of Virginia ‘every day’ for two years.
The idea of the government secretly investigating sightings of UFOs and other strange incidents has long been thought to belong to the realms of Hollywood or TV: it’s no mistake that The X-Files, featuring a secret organisation dedicated to such other-worldly phenomena, was described as a science fiction drama.
No longer. Once a preoccupation of hardcore sci-fi fans, UAPs (or UFOs) are now being taken extremely seriously at the very heart of government.
Easy as it may be to discount sightings and photos of UFOs by civilians, video footage and pictures taken by U.S. Navy pilots between mid-2014 and March 2015 that emerged three years ago could not be dismissed so easily.
Barack Obama has raised the stakes by admitting on The Late Show that, when President, he asked whether there was a lab somewhere ‘where we’re keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?’ The answer was no, but he did acknowledge the existence of objects without an ‘easily explainable pattern’
They showed a 30 to 40ft object, shaped like a Tic Tac, with no wings or rotors, yet able to hover, turn and accelerate through the sky at hypersonic speeds. The flabbergasted Navy pilots can be heard exclaiming in awe: ‘Oh dude!’
The footage was leaked to the New York Times, whose report also revealed the existence of a shadowy organisation based at the Pentagon dedicated to reports of UFO sightings, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program — AATIP.
Its $22million budget was buried within the defence department’s £600billion a year funding.
The titles of some of the studies conducted by AATIP read like something out of an episode of Star Trek: Invisibility Cloaking; Traversable Wormholes, Stargates And Negative Energy; Warp Drive, Dark Energy And The Manipulation of Extra Dimensions; and Metallic Spintronics.
But its work was shrouded in secrecy and its former head, Luis Elizondo, resigned in 2017 in protest at this cloak-and-dagger approach.
The UK has been similarly secretive about UFO sightings, although the Ministry of Defence did at least set up a department dedicated to otherworldly phenomena, which I headed from 1991 to 1994, earning myself the name ‘Real Life Fox Mulder’, after The X-Files detective played by David Duchovny.
This department was eventually wound up, but the sightings have continued and — as in the U.S. — while many can be discounted, there are some that have no reasonable, scientific explanation.
The pressure is now on the U.S. Defense Department to go public with what it knows about UFOs and what the implications are for national security.
The leaking of the pilots’ footage prompted it to announce in 2020 the establishment of an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), led by the Navy.
The stated mission of this body was ‘to detect, analyse and catalogue UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security.’
The Senate Intelligence Committee — which oversees the tangle of 18 or more departments and organisations dedicated to intelligence-gathering in the U.S. — last year demanded a report on UFOs.
It is due next month, and it will be unclassified, although I suspect they will hide anything deemed too sensitive and secret within a classified annex to the report.
Certainly the government can no longer get away with dismissing those who have reported sightings of UFOs as cranks. If they know what these strange phenomena are, then they should be transparent, and tell us. And if they don’t — well, then we really do have reason to worry
Although this material too could be leaked. There has already been a great deal of leaking of photographs, official footage and documents relating to these unexplained sightings, notably the Navy pilots’ footage, and of other documents doing the rounds.
It is the existence of this information that has made it impossible for the government to deny or debunk such sightings and refuse to investigate them — as they have done since the 1960s.
What might the report contain? I believe there are three possible theories behind the strange sightings.
The first is that these strange aircraft are a U.S. ‘black project’ technology — a secret weapon developed by the U.S. Air Force that it is blind-testing against the Navy, to determine its efficacy.
After all, one unanswered question has been: where is the Air Force in all this? They have been strangely quiet, given that it is an issue about aircraft and airspace.
In this scenario, everything about UFOs is just a deception operation. The second theory is that the craft involved are secret prototype aircraft or drones operated by Russia or China — a troubling explanation, given the capabilities observed by the Navy pilots.
The third possibility is that we are in unknown territory — this would include the extraterrestrial hypothesis, or even a strange atmospheric plasma phenomenon that looks like an aircraft.
The Defense Intelligence Agency seems to want to play down the extraterrestrial theory but it is interesting to note that among the footnotes to the letter to Congress is a reference to a study of the Drake Equation, designed by the astronomer Frank Drake to calculate how many non-human civilisations there might be.
I sincerely hope that the intelligence community co-operates with the Senate report and gives us some idea of what we are dealing with. If we don’t know what it is, we cannot take defensive measures against it, if necessary.
And I trust that the findings — even the classified ones — will be shared with the UK, its closest defence ally.
Having studied unexplained sightings for many years, not only in my role at the MoD, but as the author of several books about such phenomena, including an investigation into the UK’s Rendlesham Forest Incident in 1980, about the landing of UFOs there witnessed by U.S. airmen, I believe that unexplained objects in our skies cannot simply be ignored.
My understanding is that there are disagreements within the defence and intelligence services about what it is that we are dealing with, and what steps we must take. For so many years scepticism and secrecy have prevailed. Now, at last, we are beginning to see some transparency.
But what we have learned so far is, I believe, just the tip of the iceberg. If these are the videos and pictures that have been leaked, how many more sightings are going on that we are not seeing? I suspect a lot.
Other pictures are emerging, captured on phones — one recently recorded an unidentified object disappearing into the ocean.
The U.S. Navy has even issued guidance to its pilots about what to do if they encounter these mysterious aircraft.
They wouldn’t bother doing that if there had been three or four incidents. This suggests ongoing encounters.
This could just be one of those interesting instances where conspiracy theorists turn out to be right. Not about aliens — I don’t think little green men are about to descend on us — but about the unexplained aircraft.

The Canadian military has documents of reported UFO sightings going back decades. What explains this? Is it proof of extraterrestrial life? Or, a foreign military using advanced technology? Our panel discusses the new interest in these mysterious sightings.

I’m an astronomer at the Seti Institute, a non-profit research organization in California’s Silicon Valley. My colleagues and I look for extraterrestrial life, including intelligent beings – or in the vernacular, aliens. It’s exciting times for people like me, because extra-terrestrial life is being widely discussed now in the lead-up to the Pentagon’s highly anticipated report on so-called unexplained aerial phenomena.
Yet I should say straight away that I am not expecting any big revelations out of the report. I think it’s overwhelmingly likely that aliens are present in our galaxy. But I don’t believe they’re hanging out in our airspace. Not now, and not in historic times.
Everyone is now serious about UFOs. But they reveal more about earthling politics
Claims that extraterrestrials helped build large, pointy monuments in the Egyptian desert 5,000 years ago are, frankly, laughable. And I don’t think that videos made by cameras on navy F-18 Hornets actually show alien craft darting around the skies above the Pacific. There are more prosaic explanations for these videos: no extraterrestrials required.
But in a galaxy in which every third star is likely to host an Earth-size planet, it hardly seems possible that our world is the only one sporting intelligence. Which raises the possibility that we might someday make contact. If that occurs, what might the inhabitants of other worlds be like? The question is especially relevant if – as often happens in science-fiction – the aliens decide to pay us a visit.
If extraterrestrials come to Earth, the ensuing scenario would be quite different than picking up an alien radio signal or detecting a flashing laser in the sky, modes of discovery being pursued by my colleagues and myself. The aliens producing such signals will be light years away, and their appearance and intentions wouldn’t be of much concern. But those of anyone landing their spacecraft on our turf would be.
Consider their looks. On Earth, nature has spawned a wide variety of living forms, and presumably would do so anywhere multicellular life exists. All terrestrials have DNA blueprints, and share similarities in molecular makeup. Nonetheless, few of our fellow Terrans resemble us. The extraterrestrials wouldn’t either.
This argues against the iconic aliens of film and TV, those little gray guys who are no more than modified humans. Their four appendages, upright stance, and absence of body hair are simple extrapolations of ourselves. Yes, Hollywood offers up these beings as residents of faraway worlds. But really they’re just the guy next door, lacking in eyebrows and whites in their eyes.
Any aliens that trek to our planet are unlikely to be carbon-based life forms, either hirsute or hairless. Their cognitive abilities will probably not be powered by a spongy mass of cells we’d call a brain. They will probably have gone beyond biological smarts and, indeed, beyond biology itself. They won’t be alive.
The reason is a simple consequence of the staggering distances to the stars. Even the nearest, Proxima Centauri, is 25tn miles from Earth. Our fastest rockets would take 75,000 years to reach it. Neither humans nor Klingons are built to withstand such trips.
You might be thinking that the aliens might have far speedier spacecraft. Without doubt, that’s possible. But there are natural limitations to high-speed rockets. Suppose that an alien would like to cover the distance between Proxima Centauri and Earth in 10 years. Their rocket would need to muster 600m times as much energy as a Saturn V rocket. Double that number if they plan to come to a stop at Earth and engage with the locals.
This may sound like an annoying practical matter that can be dismissed by noting that aliens could be far more advanced than us. And that’s easily possible: The universe is three times the age of our solar system, so the Galaxy may house societies that are millions or even billions of years ahead of Homo sapiens. Nevertheless, while their technology might be in a different league, the aliens must operate under the same laws of physics. Star Trek and similar scenarios aside, it’s extremely difficult to traverse light-years of space in less than a lifetime – anyone’s lifetime. You can call up Scotty in the engine room, but he won’t be able to help.
Traveling from one solar system to another is incredibly difficult and expensive. However, if you’re not in a hurry, the prospects for an interstellar voyage brighten considerably. Such leisurely trips aren’t going to appeal to biological passengers who will die long before their destination is reached. Machines, on the other hand, won’t complain if they’re cooped up in a spaceship for tens of thousands of years. They don’t require food, oxygen, sanitation or entertainment. And they don’t insist on a round-trip ticket.
Artificial intelligence aliens may not be as appealing as those who are warm-blooded and squishy, but we shouldn’t get hung up on an anthropocentric viewpoint. Researchers who work in AI estimate that machines able to beat humans on an IQ test will emerge from the labs by mid-century. If we can do it, some extraterrestrials will have already done it.
Therefore it’s reasonable to expect that any cosmic intelligence paying us a visit will be synthetic. That rules out easy speculation on what the “aliens” will look like. But if it’s a machine, who cares?
Of greater concern would be its intentions. Most sci-fi stories postulate that visitors would be noxious, arriving with a primal urge to obliterate Los Angeles or London. Frankly, if that’s what’s on their mechanical minds, it’s probably impossible to keep them at bay. Chimps couldn’t outsmart humans in any serious confrontation. Likewise, devices who can manage a trip to Earth will have the capability to do whatever they wish once they get here.
It’s a sure bet that any face-to-face encounter with extraterrestrials will be fraught. So, if alien craft ever do settle on the White House lawn, you can hope that whatever’s inside is friendly. If not, there’s always negotiation.

Former NASA astronaut Colonel Terry Virts spent over seven months in space on the International Space Station, where he captured the reality of his experience through photography. Virts has famously taken more photos from space than any other human, having taken over 300,000 spectacular images.
He is one of the stars of the IMAX film, "A Beautiful Planet," and is the director of the documentary, "One More Orbit." He is also the author of the National Geographic photography book, "View From Above," as well as his latest book, "How to Astronaut."
We caught up with Virts and asked him a few questions about how space travel has changed his perspective about issues down here on Earth and what his main goals are for his podcast. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
Space.com: Would you say you've gained a new perspective of Earth after being in space?
Terry Virts: I think so, yes. People ask, "How did you change?" I've thought about this and I think the way it changed me is I'm less of a black and white person. The older you get, the more wisdom you have and you're like, "Yes, there's probably two sides to everything, and you really should look at the data before you come to a conclusion."
We used to be stuck on Earth, everything was two dimensional, everything was north, south, east and west right? Then once we started flying, all of a sudden there was this third dimension. Now we have the Hubble Space Telescope and these telescopes that are really looking in four dimensions — they're not only seeing things that are far away, they're seeing things that are really old, back billions of years old.
Space photography has changed everything. People like you and me just grew up with it, like that was normal. One of the pictures I had when I was younger was from Viking which was the first American lander on Mars. A hundred years ago we barely had airplanes so it's amazing how quickly our perspectives have changed.
Space.com: What inspired you to start your own podcast? Is it something you've been wanting to do for a while?
Virts: A couple of years ago I was writing blogs, and then I started writing books so my extra bandwidth went from blogs to books. I do podcast interviews all the time and I did this one in the U.K. It's an aviation podcast called EVA, and it was great, and the producer afterwards was like, "Terry, that was amazing, you need to do your own podcasts," and so we spent a few months talking about it and then I just did it.
The thing is, I know so many cool people from totally random different backgrounds.
Space.com: Like who?
Virts: My first guest was Larry Kopald from The Carbon Underground, we talked about how to get carbon out of the air back underground. My second guest was Eric Berger, this really well known space reporter at Ars Technica. I talked to astrophysicist Katie Mack about the end of the universe.
I just talked to Chris Mellon, who is a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence and ran the Senate intelligence committee. A very serious, senior U.S. security official, and [we talked] about UFOs and that blew my mind. Afterward, my producer and I were just staring at each other like, "What do we do with that? That was unbelievable!"
Space.com: What are your goals with the podcast?
Virts: The goal is to talk about things that matter in an honest way.
And so we'll talk about quantum mechanics or how to land on Mars or why gun violence is so awful or how to solve the climate problem or are UFOs real. We will talk about how we are going to get out of this debt and the political divisions that we have.
All this stuff matters, some of it is interesting, some is important, some is critical. As you can tell, I have a pretty wide interest but I think that's just how my brain works.

FAA Reports 10,000 UFO Sightings
10,000 UFO/UAP reports
The Federal Aviation Administration has seen a dramatic increase in drone-related incidents, recording approximately 10,000 reports in the last five years. The War Zone has identified a substantial number of military encounters with unidentified aircraft among those reports, often in sensitive airspace. When I flew out of Langley Air Force Base, Virginia in 1967, we used to see them periodically. Navy divers told us they saw them under water moving at high speed around the coast. This was before drones existed.
FAA reports, while some of the incidents represent typical hazards associated with commercial drones, others are indicative of advanced capabilities, including the ability to fly at relatively high altitudes and to potentially operate in coordinated groups. More so, it is not just what’s happening, it is where it is happening that is so intriguing.

The incidents appear to have predominantly impacted the U.S. Navy and Air Force, with a pronounced geographic nexus off the coast of the southeastern United States, as well as another in the southwestern United States. Many of the incidents we identified occurred far out over the ocean in military training ranges that have become known for ongoing sightings of unusual aircraft. Notably, there were far fewer similar incidents reported to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in other areas that also host a great deal of military activity, such as off the West Coast or around Florida. Momentous UFO events are taking place for the first time UFOs are being treated with respect by our government telling us they are real like I told you in these Files for 25 years. Frankly I’m very suspicious of grand announcements like the government closing pipelines and shutting down oil drilling leases increasing oil prices by 50, % the greatest increase of inflation in decades.
Carol Rosin was the first woman corporate manager of Fairchild Industries and was spokesperson for Wernher Von Braun in the last years of his life. She founded the Institute for Security and Cooperation in Outer Space in Washington DC and has testified before Congress on many occasions about space-based weapons. I met Carol at the Disclosure Project at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in May 2001 when we both testified. Carol is known for having helped start the movement to prevent the weaponization of space. Carol Rosin was a close friend of Wernher von Braun (23 March 1912 – 16 June 1977) was a German-born American aerospace engineer and space architect. Von Braun joined Fairchild Industries as a Vice President for Engineering and Development. Fairchild Industries was one of the aerospace contractors that was secretly involved in building a ring-shaped space station.
Von Braun was the leading figure in the development of the v-2 rocket technology in Nazi, Germany and a pioneer of rocket and space technology. While in his twenties and early thirties he helped design and co-developed the V-2 rocket at Peenemunde during World War II. He was also likely participating in the development of the Space Force.
Following the war, he was secretly moved to the United States, along with about 1,600 other German scientists, engineers, and technicians, as part of Operation Paperclip. He worked for the U.S. Army on an intermediate range ballistic missile program, and he developed the rockets that successfully launched the United States’ first space satellite Explorer! Michael E. Salla, Ph.D. wrote that Von Braun was committed to eliminating weapons in space as he convinced Rosin during the final years of his life, or was he a double agent secretly working for the Fourth Reich Antarctic Germans? In 1960, his group was assimilated into NASA, where he served as director of the newly formed Marshall Space Center and as the chief architect of the Saturn V heavy lift Launch vehicle that propelled the Apollo Spacecraft to the Moon
William Tomkins worked with him and NASA developing the Apollo Control Room. He announced that Germany had gained the secret of anti-gravity that was later used I the Space Fleet. He was aware of the various advancements in technology and the race to the Moon in competition with the Soviet Union. He was likely aware of the Hangar near Chicago where a false area of the Moon was set up and a movie made to show the landing on the Moon. The movie was made to insert a false narrative if the landing was not successful on the Moon.
I met Carol Rosin, a high-ranking manager at Fairchild Industries on several occasions. Each time she told me that Von Braun’s had been briefed of a False Flag Alien Invasion – a genuine warning or a Fourth Reich deception or other key forces wishing to take control of the world?
From 1974 – 1977, Werner Von Braun began privately telling, about a sequence of contrived global false flag scenarios of an extraterrestrial invasion, which would usher in a New World Order. The scheduled release of new information about UFOs may be part of the false flag scenario he warned about. The locking up of the country for the Chinese release of the Corona Virus may have been a test of how willing the country was to accept fear of danger and to stay inside, wear masks, etc. The next big fear is likely to be the sky is falling concerning meteorites, or an alien invasion is taking place.
Von Braun had been it the SS and knew how powerful Nazi propaganda against the Jews had been. He knew that a clever propaganda campaign controlled by the six companies that control the television media in the U.S. can carry out a false flag extraterrestrial invasion, just as they have ignored any threats from China. If the country was told that the extraterrestrials were now in control, stay inside so they don’t harm you, and listen to the news. What would Americans or the people of the world do?
The extent of the Fourth Reich in Red
It’s possible World Communist/Marxist Governments or the remnants of the Fourth Reich, have the UFOs and Direct Energy Weapons, media and computer technology to give Von Braun’s prediction capability. Von Braun a former Nazi SS officer would know about the existence of a breakaway Nazi colony in South America and Antarctica. We can assume his multiple warning was genuine and he had held high classified positions in our government, contact with German scientists in the Soviet Union and some contacts the Fourth Reich. If the people believe aliens are about to attack or global false flag “cards” such as asteroid impacts and extraterrestrial invasion, would lead to the militarization of space and usher in a New World Order.
After NASA made the decision to end the Apollo Program, Von Braun decided to retire on May 26, 1972, six months before the launch of Apollo 17, the last moon landing mission. He had been the Director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (1960-1972), where he led the largely German engineering teams designing the Saturn V rockets that would power the Apollo Program.
In return for its covert help through the Apollo program, the US military gained scientific assistance in its efforts to study and reverse engineer captured extraterrestrial technologies. Werner Von Braun was among a select group of Operation Paperclip scientists who were asked to evaluate the remains of the 1947 Roswell Crash.

Dr. Von Braun explained how he had been taken to the crash site and how the exterior of the space craft was not metal as we know it, but appeared to be made of something biological, like skin. There were alien bodies which were being kept in a medical tent near the UFO. The beings were small, very frail, and reptilian in nature. Von Braun compared their skin to rattlesnakes that he and his group had encountered at White Sands. Von Braun was puzzled by the nature of the debris. The material was very thin, aluminum colored, like chewing gum wrapping, unlikely to have traveled from another planet according to the scientist.
. German Paperclip scientists were helping the USAF study and reverse engineer alien technologies? During the 70s, industry was able to back engineer and build electromagnetic and torsion field propulsion systems that were put into newer craft.
Wernher von Braun’s Deathbed Warning reportedly admitted late in life that German humans have possessed anti-gravity / beam-energy technology since WWII…Von Braun also pointed out in the 70’s that humanity could now easily convert to a long-suppressed, free-energy technology at any time”.
I net Carol Rosen at various conferences where she always emphasized Von Braun’s False Flag Alien Invasion that some group would use it to put weapons in space. There is strong evidence that the weapons do in fact exist aboard various objects in space.
1989 Soviet Attack Possible False Flag

Ronald Reagan liked to say, “God has a plan for everything.” He and Nancy were expected at a casual dinner party with friends in Hollywood when they were first married and showed up a half hour later quite upset. “They stated that they had seen a UFO coming down the coast.”
In 1974, California Governor stated, “I was in a plane last week when I looked out the window and saw this white light. It was zigzagging around.” “I went up to the pilot and said, “Have you ever seen anything like that?” He was shocked and he said, “Nope.” And I said to him: “Let’s follow it!” “We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light.” “We followed it to Bakersfield, and all of a sudden to our utter amazement it went straight up into the heavens.”
When he became President, he frequently discussed UFOs with his staff, and received numerous reports on sightings, and made frequent references to UFOs in his speeches.
On September 28, 1981, President Reagan received a letter from Colonel Ret. Colman VonKeviczky, Director of the International UFO Galactic Spacecraft Research and Analytic Network (ICUFON) that claimed UFOs were an intergalactic task force that will destroy earth unless world leaders’ band together to end their hostile actions against UFOs.”
Chief Advisor of the White House, Major General Robert Schweitzer replied, “The President is well aware of the threat you document so clearly and is doing all in his power to restore the national defense margin of safety as quickly and prudently as possible.” Dated November 21, 1981.
General Douglas MacArthur also spoke of “an ultimate conflict between a united human race and the sinister forces of some other planetary galaxy.
On December 4, 1985, Reagan made a speech at Fallston High School in Maryland talking about his meeting in Geneva where in five hours of private conversations with Soviet Premier Gorbachev he had brought up the alien scenario:
Regan Felt an Alien Attack Could Happen
“I couldn’t help but – when you stop to think that were all God’s children, wherever we live in the world, I couldn’t help but say to him (Gorbachev) just how easy his task and mine might be if suddenly there was a threat to this world from some other species from another planet outside in the universe. We had forgot all the little local differences that we have between our countries, and we would find out once and for all that we really are all human beings here on this Earth together. Well, I guess we can wait for some alien race to come down and threaten us, but I think that between us we can bring about that realization.”
Reagan showed his perception of UFOs at the United Nations General Assembly September 21st, 1987, when he stated, “In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. And yet, I ask you,” he went on, “is not an alien threat already among us? What could be more alien to universal aspirations of our peoples than war and the threat of war?”
Was Regan considering creating his own false flag alien invasion on the Soviet Union?
President Reagan apparently developed a plan to defeat the USSR, and Communism that he called the Evil Empire. A key part of the plan was the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) announced in 1983 and called the “Star Wars” defense system that could destroy Soviet missiles and probably UFOs. Reagan proposed a complex set of defensive lasers and missiles intended to shoot down Soviet IBCMs. He even offered the defense system to the Soviets.
Whether inspired through his conversations with President Reagan, or through information provided by his own intelligence, Gorbachev had his own interest in UFOs.

On February 16, 1987, in an important speech, at a conference at Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow on the “Survival of Humanity,” Gorbachev stated, “At our meeting in Geneva, the U.S. President said that if the earth faced an invasion by extraterrestrials, the United States and the Soviet Union would join forces to repel such an invasion. I shall not dispute the hypothesis, although I think it is early yet to worry about such an intrusion. It is much more important to think about the problems that have entered in our common home.”
Hundreds of reports of abductions were reported in the Soviet Union, astronauts were reporting UFOs, fighters were being launched to chase them, and while rumors persist Gorbachev himself was visited by an alien and given a stern warning.
Not generally known is that the Soviet Union under the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev prepared and nearly carried out a nuclear attack on the United States according to two Soviet KGB Colonels “At the age of 54, Gorbachev was elected to the General Secretariat by the Politburo on 11 March 1985. This was the beginning of a series of fundamental Soviet reforms”.
President Reagan ordered a massive buildup of the United States Armed Forces in 1981, directing funding to the B-1 Lance bomber, the B-2 Spirit bomber, cruise missiles, the MX missiles, and the 60 ship Navy.
Reagan and Gorbachev
In response to Soviet deployment of the SS-20, long range nuclear missiles and a potential alien threat. The Strategic Defense Initiative dubbed Star Wars was first proposed by President Ronald Reagan in a nationwide television address on March 23, 1983. The idea was to block nuclear missiles and allegedly attack alien craft and after several years was meeting initial success. In June 1987, American president Ronald Reagan stood at the Berlin Wall and demanded that Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev “Tear down this wall!”

Gorbachev agreed that the nations of the world would fight together. The Soviet Union’s first step in the end of the Cold War came when Mikhail S. Gorbachev implicitly abandoned the Brezhnev Doctrine. On 14 April 1988, the Governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan, with the United States and Soviet Union serving as guarantors, signed an agreement known as the Geneva accords. This included five major documents, which, among other things, established a timetable that ensured full Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan by 15 February 1989. Gorbachev was secretly preparing and nearly launched an attack on the United States.
Gorbachev demanded that the retreat be orderly and dignified — he did not want television images reminiscent of the chaotic 1975 US pullout from Vietnam. “We must not appear before the world in our underwear or even without any,” he told the Politburo inner circle. “A defeatist position is not possible.” The withdrawal was intended as a sign of conciliation toward the West and reassurance to the East Europeans, but it encouraged others to challenge Soviet power.
In 1989, one-fourth of the entire Soviet population was engaged in military activities and preparing for a possible strike at the US. Soviet Bloc countries were threatening to escape Soviet leadership and war would likely keep them in line. I believe Gorbachev decided to take a chance and see if the US defense was down. The Inauguration of George H. W. Bush as the 41st President of the United States was held on Friday, January 20, 1989. Bush might easily be fooled concerning Soviet attentions and quickly surrender to a surprise attack.
Typhoon Class Nuclear Sub the largest ever built
The Soviet Navy was a large part of the Soviet Union’s strategic plan in the event of a conflict with the opposing superpower, the United States; Soviet Navy had 63 ballistic missiles submarines.
These Soviet subs generally carry 16 missiles, and many are multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs) that if launched could have hit key military installations and cities in a few minutes after launch and likely succeed before the SDI Star Wars was operational.
The Soviet Unions also had 72 cruise missiles submarines and 64 nuclear attack submarines plus bombers and Intercontinental missiles. It had the older III/IV SSBNs that carry 16 of the older Sineva Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles with a range of up to 5,100 miles with a full payload. It is reported that the Sineva missiles have been upgraded to the new Layner standard, a highly advanced derivative of the Sineva, which carries up to 12 MIRVs (warheads can be of a mixed set with various yields).
Normally four of five Soviet nuclear missile submarines came on station near the U.S. shores. After several months on station the missile subs would be replaced by more subs and the initial subs would return to the Soviet Union. However, the initial subs did not return, and the additional subs came on station in the spring of 1989. Soviet military forces had now left Afghanistan in January of 1989 and were now ready to launch an attack on NATO… Fortunately the airborne Sub tracker aircraft were on station looking for the Soviet subs.

VP-64 t Orion P-3 Aircraft of the Naval Reserve unit from Willow Grove Naval Air station near Philadelphia allegedly were the first units to spot the Soviet buildup. They noticed the subs on station were not returning while there was a buildup of the new subs. Also, Soviet subs were spotted off the Florida coast. Twenty Soviet subs on each coast could launch 320 nuclear missiles plus MIRVs hitting multiple targets with only a few minutes warning. Long range missiles could knock out key Minuteman missiles and nuclear equipped bombers in a fifteen-minute attack before the US could respond. The Soviet attack submarines would hope to knock out US Polaris missile subs near the Soviet Union.
Once key military installations were knocked out in the US, it was doubtful NATO forces would put up much of a fight. Large Soviet underground facilities would protect most of the Soviet population if some retaliatory missiles got thru. If the numerous subs were not detected the US would likely surrender.
Once the alarm was sounded large US Navy forces of dozens of P-3s and attack helicopters and naval vessels moved into hover over the Soviet submarines. US attack subs had followed several of the Soviet subs across the Atlantic Ocean and a picture of the Soviet intentions developed. Gorbachev felt if the subs had not been detected most key military bases in the US could be destroyed before the US could retaliate. Fortunately, the subs were tracked by Orion Aircraft and US attack submarines and the Soviet Union gave up their secret attack plan and a nuclear was averted.
UFO Crash After Being Shot Down
According to the “Secret KGB UFO files” TV program UFO craft were discovered after crashing possibly after Soviet intercepts. UFOs were swarming over the Soviet Union in an apparent response to the Soviet failed attack.
Besides numerous abduction scenarios, UFOs were destroying key Soviet installations, and intercepts of Soviet communications indicated fighters were being launched to ward off further UFO attacks. General Igor Malsev, Chief of the General Staff for Air Defense Forces (PVO), admitted that over a hundred observations of UFOs had been reported to him, mostly by pilots, on March 21, 1990. The Soviets were overly concerned about the attacks and the new threats provided by UFOs.

In May 1990, shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union Gorbachev made a second more direct statements about UFOs. “The phenomenon of UFOs does exist,” he stated, “and it must be treated seriously.”
According to filmmaker and Russian ufologist Dr. Vladimir Avinsky, on September 13, 1990, just after midnight a Soviet radar station near Samara was attacked by a black triangular shaped UFO. It was about 50 feet in length on each leg of the triangle. A fire stated and the radar antennae seemed to melt. These extraordinary events were reported in the Red Star Military Newspaper. Dr. Avinsky provided these drawings of the attack.

According to Timothy Good in his excellent new book “Need to Know” on September 28, 1990, cosmonauts on board the Mir Space station saw a UFO over Newfoundland. Astronaut Gennadi Manakov states, “It was a great, silvery sphere and it was iridescent at 22:51 hours. It was much larger than a huge ship and had a regular shape, but what it was I don’t know, perhaps an enormous, experimental sphere, or something else“. snip
Officially it is stated the Soviet Union collapsed because of economic problems, but from its beginning it always had serious financial problems and its huge oil production was coming online. I suggest UFOs participated in the collapse of the Soviet Union to protect their interests.
Boris Yeltsin came to power on June 12, 1991, and was elected president of Russia becoming the first popularly elected president, and completing the fall of the Communist USSR and essentially ending the Cold War.
According to two Soviet KGB Colonels I met the Extraterrestrials were well as where of the Soviet plans and may have helped in uncovering the Soviet planed attack The aliens have a strong dislike for nuclear war in that it may make living on the planet intolerable. Shortly after the failed attack the Soviet Union was attacked almost nightly by triangle shaped craft and key installations were destroyed. According to the KGB Colonels, Gorbachev was visited by Exterrestrials who told him the world cannot have two Superpowers ready to destroy the Earth and the Soviets had been chosen to in effect to surrender and dissolve the Soviet Union. The failed attack was the momentum for various Soviet Bloc countries to start to withdraw from Soviet rule and suddenly the Soviets seemed weak and unwilling to occupy its Soviet Bloc nations as they had previously done in the past. By the summer of 1989 Gorbachev’s domestic reforms had run into serious trouble. The centrifugal forces in the “outer empire” stimulated and accelerated those in the “inner empire”, as the Soviet republics sought sovereignty and then independence. As the center disintegrated and Gorbachev opened the political process with glasnost (openness), the old communist “barons” in the republics saw the handwriting on the wall and became nationalist.
Shortly after Poland’s electorate voted the Communists out of government in June 1989, Gorbachev announced that the Soviet Union would not interfere with the internal affairs of the Eastern European countries. By October, Hungary and Czechoslovakia followed Poland’s example. The second act of the drama began in the fall of 1989 with peaceful revolutions in Eastern and Central Europe (except Romania) and the fall of the Soviet “outer empire.”
On 09 November 1989, the East German Government opened the Berlin Wall. East Germany, the center of contention throughout the Cold War, was united with West Germany and integrated into NATO.
Collapse of Soviet Union Lost Numerous Nations and Area
As one historian noted, in Poland communism took ten years, in Hungary ten months, in East Germany ten weeks, and in Czechoslovakia ten days to disappear. In Romania — the bloody exception to the rule of peaceful transition — the end came with the execution of Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife on Christmas Day. The Eastern Bloc. Charter 77 (Czechoslovakia) Solidarity (Poland) Jeltoqsan (Kazakhstan) Braşov rebellion (Romania) January Events (Lithuania) The Barricades (Latvia) April 9 tragedy (Georgia) Black January (Azerbaijan). The collapse of the Warsaw Pact a year later plus the 1990 Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe [that substantially reduced Soviet superiority in conventional forces in Europe resulted in a stronger Western alliance — so strong that the US could redeploy forces from Europe to the Persian Gulf for use against Iraq.
President Bush and Yeltsin Declare End To Cold War
At the of Malta Summit on December 2 and 3, 1989, both the leaders of the United States and the Soviet Union declared the Cold War over. Taking place on December 2–3, 1989, just a few weeks after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was their second meeting following a meeting that included Ronald Reagan, in New York in December 1988.
At the Malta Summit, new US President George HW Bush, announced that the superpowers had ‘buried the Cold War at the bottom of the Mediterranean.’

In 1991, the two countries were partners in the Gulf War against Iraq a longtime Soviet ally. On 31 July 1991, the START I treaty cutting the number of deployed nuclear warheads of both countries was signed by Soviet General Secretary Gorbachev and U.S. President George Bush. However, many consider the Cold War to have truly ended in late 1991 with the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
After the fall of the Soviet Union’s the CIA obtained KGB reports that the remains of the ‘petrified soldiers’ were transferred to a secret research institution near Moscow. “Specialists assume that a source of energy still unknown to Earthlings instantly changed the structure of the soldiers living organisms, having transformed it into a substance whose molecular structure was no different to limestone like reports in the Bible. A CIA representative stated: ‘if the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case. “The aliens possess such weapons and technology that go beyond all our assumptions’.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin is frequently cited as calling the collapse of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century.” But that is not how the Kremlin translates his words. Arizona Sphere
Tucson– on May 12, 2021, while waiting at a bus stop on Speedway Blvd and Palo Verde, I observed what looked like a ball in the NW direction. At first, I thought it could have been a metallic type of balloon. But the ball shaped figure got closer and stayed at a low elevation and did not rise like a balloon but flew SE toward the Rincon Mountains. The movement was not erratic, it did not change elevation, just a shiny, metallic sphere with no windows or appendages. just a smooth round shiny ball moving about 75 feet above the power lines.
California Object
Morongo Valley – on June 4, 2021, was on a trip to LA with some buddies when we passed through Morongo Valley, and I spotted this object. It looked flat but was extremely far in the distance, so it was hard to tell anything about it. I grabbed my I phone and recorded it. My friends all saw it too. The object zoomed off at supersonic speeds.
Colorado Disc
Cortez— on July 15th, 2019, while on a trip to Colorado heading south on highway 145 in the San Juan Mountains range, I stopped and started taking pictures of the mountain peaks with my Nikon 5600 camera with a Tamron 28-400 mm lens which equals a 600 mm on the Nikon and with my Samsung Note 9. After the trip noticed this black object in the sky on pictures with the Nikon and the Samsung Note 9.
With my Samsung I was doing a panoramic of the mountain peaks and I noticed in one of the panoramic photos there is this black object. t would have been too big for a bird. So, I am perplexed as to what I’m seeing in these photos.
I have a raw file from the Nikon, and the ones attached are jpgs. with no edits.

Florida Object
Miami– on May 29, 2021, I was in the pool floating on my back when I noticed a shiny star on a clear blue sky. It was around 6-6:40pm a shiny silver color reflecting the sun light getting brighter at times and then dimming. It was extremely high up in the sky. The object took a slight path to the south then stopped. I was surprised to see a silent star like object in broad daylight for 35minutes.

Bloomington – on May 25, 2021, spotted some weird lights in the sky that dimmed on and off. Sighting took place at approx. 9:30 pm at Bush Lake Park for 30 minutes. I left before the lights disappeared. Video recorded with an iPhone.

Bellville – on June 6, 2021, was getting motion alerts in the backyard all night. Finally on this one I saw these orb formations take off from the ground and it scared the heck out of us! No clue what this is.

Outside Rachel – on June 6, 2021, f family and I were traveling from Zion to Reno. About 20 minutes after turning on 375 my wife wanted to photograph a Joshua Tree. After several minutes, a circular object shining light suddenly appeared above us. I grabbed my cell phone from my car and took a video. We had no clue, but we were near area 51 and had never even heard of the ET highway and I am not a believer in aliens but all four of us are positive in what we saw. We learned later where we were located.

Medford– on June 9, 2021, I wanted to get some video of the lighting storm and we have secret cameras that are PTZ means so I can zoom, tilt, and track a person. I picked a spot where I see some lighting and this object comes in on the right side of the screen it is an oval dark shape and It’s moving in the clouds; it flies around then drops down into an area that’s sunny and disappears. Seconds later it reappears flies around and disappears.

Sevierville – on June 8, 2021, I saw a black looking tilting side to side, then climbed, then hovered in air. I could not tell what it was but it’s very strange.

San Antonio – on November 15, 2018, I heard a buzzing sound coming from the front of the apartments. I went out front and noticed what I thought were 35 Chinese lanterns. Held onto the video for quite some time. Then started seeing other videos pop up remarkably similar like mine. The orbs seem to fly in a pattern and some even combine then separate which I thought was odd.

Too Ashuu – on May 1, 2021, the Too-Ashuu pass is in the Ala-Too Mountains on the strategic Bishkek-Osh route, which connects the northern and southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. The height of the pass is 3,400 meters above sea level. I took a photo of the mountains, and got a UFO image

Zapopan– on January 15, 2021, on a flight from Chiapas to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I took a photograph that shows how an object made of spheres passes under another plane in the opposite direction to my flight and leaves a beam of smoke. Note: May be an aircraft in the distance.

Manila – on January 20, 2017, I have four pictures of this object, which I first thought was unusual with beautiful colors in the sky but after I zoomed in on the pictures you will see for yourself. This was taking on a flight between Japan in Philippines.

Marbella – on June 2, 2021, brilliant glimmering light in the sky, y although with slight movement left and right may be due to humidity in atmosphere and high temperature. Wind on ground light to medium from east, object did not vary in position during 15-minute sighting. Took 3 photos, best one showed clear outline. Used flight tracker app to confirm no commercial aircraft in the area.

White Waltham Maidenhead– on May 29, 2021, I was relaxing in front of the Club house, and took a picture of my vintage plane. Above the left propeller is a UFO. UFOs normally fly so fast that the human eye does not see them, and it could be that I have captured a UFO.

Somewhere in the afterlife, Stephen Hawking has his legs back and is undoubtedly jumping for joy after he’s been proven right again by scientists back on Earth. In a new paper published in Physical Journal Letters, researchers explain how they used data from gravitational waves to confirm one of Hawking’s best-known theories about black holes – that they can only grow, not shrink. If only clothing were made of black holes!
I knew it! Tell me more!
“It’s the first time that we can put a number on this.”
In a corollary to the Internet trope. “It’s not real if you don’t have a photo,” scientists know that it’s just a theory until you have some numbers to support it. That’s why MIT astrophysicist Maximiliano Isi, co-author of the paper, told Science News he and other astrophysicists decided to search for data to back up Stephen Hawking’s 1970s black hole area theorem that their surface area can only increase over time. That’s true with entropy or disorder and there’s nothing in the universe more disorderly than black holes gulping down everything in their path. While one would naturally assume that its diet would cause it to expand, a black hole eating a spinning object should cause it to spin and lose surface area. Hawking said no – the additional mass would offset it. He just didn’t have the numbers to back up the theory.
To find the numbers, Isi and his team looked at GW150914, the first gravitational waves directly observed in 2015. Those waves were caused by the merger of two black holes that spiraled inward and merged into one bigger black hole. Looking at the before-and-after data generated, they determined that the surface area of the newly formed black hole was greater than that of the two initial black holes combined. That’s one for Stephen Hawking – and another one for Albert Einstein and his general theory of relativity.
“We’re like, ‘aw, it was right again.’”
So what else is new?
Astrophysicist and study co-author Will Farr of Stony Brook University in New York and the Flatiron Institute in New York City told Science News that physicists can’t believe how often the general theory of relativity holds up against new challenges. One such challenge is quantum mechanics – what works on the large scale of black holes doesn’t always hold at the tiny quantum end of the spectrum. We’re still here, so no apocalyptic laws have been broken – so far.
Would the merger of the two great minds of Hawking and Einstein follow Hawking’s theorem and merge into a brain greater than the two added together? They’re probably working on it right now.
Quite possibly, that’s the strangest title I’ve ever come up with for an article! And it gets even stranger. In issue 187 of Fortean Times magazine, writer Mark Pilkington did a review of the FortNite 2004 gig. Pilkington highlighted certain material that was disclosed at the gig by the now late Budd Hopkins, the author of Missing Time: “…in order to better blend in with us humans, the Greys have taken to wearing wigs and sunglasses…the aliens are also experimenting with growing hair on the heads of their genetic hybrid grey-human creations…they’re also developing pupils to get around those giveaway wraparound black eyes.” Yes, it sounds totally bizarre. It should be noted, though, that there are numerous stories of mysterious, alleged alien entities who wear wigs to hide their true, hairless appearances. By now, you’re probably thinking “WTF???” And I certainly can’t blame anyone for that. Now, let’s get to the cases. Gloria is an elderly woman who lives in Decatur, Texas and who I met with on the afternoon of the 22nd. I decided to make the approximately 110-mile-roundtrip, after hearing a bit of her story down the phone the previous evening. I set off early, wondering, as I always do, what exactly I might be in for. It was a typical November day in Texas when I hit the road. It could have been a less than extraordinary experience – as is sometimes the case. But, not this time. On this occasion, the trip was well worth it.
I arrived at an old house – probably dating from the 1940s, and which was well kept and that had a welcoming porch, on which were a couple of chairs. I knocked the door and in just a few seconds it opened. In front of me was Gloria, a white-haired lady who smiled broadly. At least, her experience wasn’t affecting her character, I thought. She invited me in and I sat down, as a couple of caged canaries bid me welcome. At least, I think that’s what they did. On July 19, 2012, Gloria told me – as we drank coffee and ate homemade lemon cake in her living-room – she briefly saw what can only be accurately described as a flying saucer, which hovered over her home as she sat in her backyard, reading a book and with her two dogs for company. In fact, it was the barking of both dogs – which stared intently and rigidly at the sky – that alerted Gloria to the presence of the weird craft. It didn’t stay around for long, however. It was a case of here one second and gone the next second. But that was not all. The next afternoon, that of the 20th, there was a knock at the door. It was a pale-faced, thin woman of about thirty, wearing a long black wig and dressed in a black jacket, a white blouse, and a flowing, black skirt. And then there were the huge sunglasses. And the Woman in Black smelled of dirt – something I have heard before. Gloria felt deeply uncomfortable as, upon opening the door, the Woman in Black proceeded to warn her not to talk about the UFO she had encountered the previous day, due to the claim that “the government is concerned.” Concerned about what was never explained. The Woman in Black quickly exited the scene.
Karen Totten is an artist and sculptor who has had a wealth of anomalous experiences throughout her life, one of which was with an entity that falls definitively into the Woman in Black category. She says: “…when I was 17 I was working in a small convenience store, when a woman came in to buy cigarettes. At first I didn’t pay any attention to her until I saw her hand (when she handed me the money) – it was not like a normal human hand. This startled me so I looked up and saw a very pale entity, wearing a thin black coat (like a rain coat) with collar turned up to cover her neck, a heavy long haired wig, and very large black glasses. This did not entirely hide her strange face: a very pointed chin, scant lip and nose. She did not speak. Took her cigarettes and left! I was kinda stunned.” No doubt!
The following account, sent to me by a Facebook friend, is without doubt one of the most disturbing and chilling stories I have on record; and I don’t make such a statement lightly. The source – who prefers the term “A Hesitant Believer” – says of an experience which occurred in late 2008: “I worked as a bar manager at a sports bar in Tampa, Florida, and at 2:00 AM I cashed out the servers and sent them home and closed down the kitchen. The bar itself closed at 3:00 AM, but my last few barflies stumbled out before 2:30. I closed out the credit cards, counted the register, abused my free credits on the jukebox, and sat down to wait out the clock. At about ten minutes to three a couple walked in. I told them it was last call and cash only at this point, and locked the doors behind them, not even really paying attention to them (rude, I know, but after 12 hours, give me a break). When I did notice them, I began to feel uneasy.
“Neither one of them sat down on the stools in front of the bar. They each ordered a non-alcoholic beer, and then just stood there holding their drinks, about two stools apart. Then I noticed how they were dressed. I dress in a ‘goth’ style and prefer black, but these two were definitely not goths, despite the (almost) all-black attire. The man, who appeared older than the woman, maybe about 40-ish, wore a black double-breasted suit of an outdated cut. I’d say maybe 1950’s style, with a rumpled black shirt and a crooked black tie. I’d say he was about 5’9 with a thin build. He had incredibly pale skin that showed blue veins underneath (I had turned on all of the house lights by this point, so they stood out in stark contrast), a very high forehead, prominent cheekbones, and deep-set, large, brilliant blue eyes, possibly the most vibrant blue I have ever seen. He had thin, dry, unhealthy-looking silvery-grey hair pulled back in a ponytail, with seemingly random dark brown patches in it, as if he gave a half-assed attempt to dye it and gave up halfway through the process.
“The woman, who was about 5’6, emaciated, and looked about mid-20s, wore a black evening gown with elbow-length satin gloves and had a clashing bright green knit shawl around her shoulders. She had a short bob haircut with bangs, though it really looked like a poorly cared-for wig. She had the same high forehead, cheekbones, and blue eyes as her partner, although her eyes were more narrow and slightly slanted. Neither one had eyebrows.” As they were leaving, the pair gave “A Hesitant Believer” very disturbing grins. Is it really possible that we have among us strange, unearthly creatures that look somewhat like us, but who need a bit of “camouflage” to make them look “more human”?
A great number of UFO reports that have been logged over the years have resulted in attempts at providing rational explanations which, perhaps more often than not, have drawn from weather-related phenomena as possible sources.
Naturally occurring atmospheric phenomena actually do often spark claims of UFO sightings, with sources as varied as “sundogs” or parhelion, to saucer-shaped lenticular clouds, and even more curious natural phenomena like ball lightning which, though confirmed and widely recognized, remains somewhat mysterious.
However, there are other instances where peculiar natural occurrences may point to weather-related phenomena which might account for unusual UFO-like observations. Some of these, as is the case with ball lighting, may leave us with more questions than they do answers.
Such an account was described in 1992 in an entry published in the U.K. Journal of Meteorology. The author, a Mr. Brian Hayes, wrote to the journal with additional details about a bizarre sighting that occurred in September of the previous year.
“I follow up my telephone call to you with further details of Mr. Barrie Brumpton’s unusual sighting which he related to me in October 1991,” wrote Hayes, who stated that his interview with the witness had occurred just days after the observation took place.
“Having read The Circles Effect and its Mysteries and The Goddess of the Stones I was able to pounce upon a chance remark made by Mr. Brumpton, and this led to my interviewing him closely. I hope that this will help with your investigations.”
Hayes stated that Brumpton’s sighing occurred near Colden Common, Winchester in Hampshire. The time had been approximately 2230 BST, having taken place on Saturday evening. The date was September 29, 1991.
“The weather was generally very wet and stormy,” Hayes said the witness had described to him, “but a lull had occurred during which the rain stopped and the wind dropped.” What Brumpton described as a light breeze had been blowing from the east, in the direction of New Road. The witness had been approximately 30 yards from the western end of the road, when he first noticed an “object” that was roughly 150 yard away, prompting him to think he had been “seeing things.”
Hayes then provides the following account:
“The object ‘filled the highway’, so this suggests a width of eight metres or so. It was ‘on the ground’ and ’round-topped’, suggesting to me a [hemisphere]. The ‘object’ was a ‘mass of mist’ and ‘looked very wet’. It seemed to ‘roll’ toward the subject at a speed that he estimated at 30 m.p.h. However, his estimate of half-a-minute for travelling 150 yards gives a speed of 20 m.p.h.”
“Let us not forget,” Hayes added in his report, “that time is difficult to estimate after an event.”
According to Brumpton’s description, the mysterious “mass of mist” appeared to be producing a noise that sounded almost identical to heavy rain pounding against asphalt. The observer noted, however, that there had been no precipitation at the time of the sighting, although he had considered whether a hard rain was about to fall, and that he might run the risk of “getting soaked” where he stood.
Another peculiar aspect of the incident had been that Brumpton was able to see the object very clearl at all times, despite the time of night that the observation occurred. “This suggests the possibility that the ‘object’ was luminous,” Hayes speculated.
“The observer moved into a driveway on the south side of the road, but when a few yards away ‘the object moved over’ to the north side and ‘just vanished’.”
What had the unusual object been that Brumpton observed in September 1991? Although certain aspects of the incident do appear reminiscent of UFO-type observations from over the years, the seemingly weather-related aspects of the events described appear to point to the possibility of a natural explanation.
Cases such as these cause us to wonder about the varieties of natural occurrences that might have led to at least a few UFO sightings over the years. Regardless, they are occurrences that may represent genuine mysteries in their own right, despite their apparent natural origin.
A very large star located about 25,000 light-years away from Earth and close to the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy had dimmed by 97% before slowly getting brighter again. Described as being a blinking star, it is huge, measuring in at a hundred times larger than our sun.
The star, which has been named VVV-WIT-08, began to fade in the early part of 2012 and by April of that year it had almost completely disappeared. Then over the following hundred days, it began to brighten back up. Astronomers were able to study the event by analyzing data collected by the Vista Telescope that is run by the European Southern Observatory in Chile.
As for what caused the mysterious fading of the star’s light, it is believed that it was either from a companion star or an orbiting planet that has a dust disc surrounding it. The astronomers have calculated that the disc would have had a radius that measured a quarter of the distance been Earth and our sun at the very least.

Experts are unsure as to when VVV-WIT-08 will dim again, but it may possibly occur within the next 20 to 200 years. Interestingly, astronomers have also found two other blinking stars in close proximity to VVV-WIT-08; however, they have a lot less information on those two – at least for now. The discovery of the blinking VVV-WIT-08 actually wasn’t the first one to be found. The huge star Epsilon Aurigae becomes approximately 50% dimmer every 27 years for a period of up to 730 days because of a large dust disc passing by it.
And in a binary system called TYC 2505-672-1, a huge red star is dimmed every 69 years for a period of three and a half years because of a disc surrounding its companion star.
Not any of the stars mentioned in this article.
These are important discoveries in regards to learning more about blinking stars. Dr. Leigh Smith from Cambridge University’s Institute of Astronomy explained, “Once you start to build up collections of several of these things, you can look at their properties in aggregate and unpick the mysteries of where these discs come from,” adding, “It allows us to learn how these systems evolve and what they do at the end of their lives.”

Als je ’s nachts naar de sterren kijkt, lijken deze kleine, fonkelende lichtpuntjes onverstoorbaar. De verduistering van Betelgeuze verbreekt deze illusie.”
Helaas zijn de resultaten van dit nieuwe wetenschappelijk onderzoek voor sommigen slecht nieuws. Velen hoopten dat de helderheidsdip van de ster een voorbode was van een spectaculaire supernova-explosie. Betelgeuze is dan ook op het einde van zijn leven. The New York Times reported that they already had the initial conclusions from the upcoming Pentagon UAP report, bringing out a chain reaction of questions and statements from the government high-ranking members.
The New York Times received the initial conclusions that didn’t offer conclusive evaluations of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). The leaked documents state that the Pentagon cannot rule out foreign intrusions, nor can they rule out extraterrestrials.
Bill Nelson, the new NASA administrator, was asked several questions about UFOs in an interview with CNN. Nelson mentioned that he encouraged scientists to engage the issue of UAP and carry their research.
Nelson hopes to drive off the stigma surrounding the subject in the scientific community. He said there was no enough data, and scientists should be free to follow these leads, and it should not be stigmatized.
Nelson doesn’t believe UAPs as simple optical illusions because of the characteristics that those Navy jet pilots described. He added that the bottom line is, they want to know.
Documents are now coming out showing that the military has been encountering the same objects for decades, even as early as 1953.
Answering to a question during a press briefing, Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby said that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had obtained a briefing on the Task Force’s work so far.
This weekend, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe appeared on Fox News, saying that he believes the number of UAP sightings is far greater than previously reported.
Ratcliffe also dismisses the theory that these crafts could be Chinese or Russian because both didn’t have transmedium and hypersonic vehicles in 2004.
China has confirmed their version of a UAP task force that utilizes artificial intelligence to investigate the phenomenon, the South China Morning Post reports.
In the 15 years since Chad Underwood recorded a bizarre and erratic UFO— now called “the Tic Tac,” a name Underwood himself came up with — from the infrared camera on the left wing of his F/A-18 Super Hornet, he’s become a flight instructor, a civilian employee in the aerospace industry, and a father. But he has not yet spoken publicly about what he saw that day, even now, two years afterhis video made the front page of the New York Times. As he explained before speaking with Intelligencer, Underwood has mostly wanted to avoid having his name “attached to the ‘little green men’ crazies that are out there.”
The story of the Tic Tac begins around November 10, 2004, when radar operator Kevin Day first reported seeing odd and slow-moving objects flying in groups of five to ten off of San Clemente Island, west of the San Diego coast. At an elevation of 28,000 feet, moving at a speed of approximately 120 knots (about 138 miles per hour), the clusters were too high to be birds, too slow to be conventional aircraft, and were not traveling on any established flight path, at least according to Day.
In a military report made public by KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, another crew member with 17 years of experience on similar cruisers would later observe that the objects “exhibited ballistic-missile characteristics” as they zoomed from 60,000 feet to 50 feet above the Pacific Ocean, alarmingly without producing sonic booms. All told, radar operators with the Princeton spent about two weeks attempting to figure out what the objects were, a process that included having the ship’s radar system shut down and recalibrated to make sure that the mysterious radar returns were not not false positives, or “ghost tracks.”
Eventually, David Fravor, commanding officer of the Black Aces, made visual confirmation of one of the objects midair during a flight-training exercise. An hour later, Underwood made his infrared recording on a second flight. “That day,” Underwood recalls, “Dave Fravor was like, ‘Hey, dude. BOLO.’ Like, be on the lookout for just something weird. I can’t remember the exact terms that he used. I didn’t really think much about it at the time. But once I was able to acquire it on the radar and on the FLIR [forward-looking infrared camera], that’s kind of where things — I wouldn’t say ‘went sideways’ — but things were just different.”

The footage appears to depict what Fravor had identified as a 40-foot-long, white, oblong shape (hence “Tic Tac”), hovering somewhere between 15,000 and 24,000 feet in midair and exhibiting no notable exhaust from conventional propulsion sources, even as it makes a surprising dart leftward in the video’s final moments. Of the three UFO incidents captured by U.S. Navy airmen via infrared gun-camera pods, Underwood’s footage remains unique for its lack of cross talk between the pilots — a fact that has led to some speculation about its authenticity. But “there wasn’t anything on it that was protected,” Underwood’s retired former commanding officer Dave Fravor told Intelligencer. The missing audio, he says, “just didn’t make the copy that was taken from the storage drive.”
A former fighter pilot who served on the Nimitz in 2004, who spoke to Intelligencer on condition of anonymity, recalled an exhilarating group screening of the FLIR1 video inside the Nimitz’s Carrier Vehicle Intelligence Center (CVIC): “Debriefs were usually pro forma in the CVIC, but this one in particular was so odd,” the former pilot said. “There weren’t really a lot of skeptics in that room.” Years later, Fravor told ABC News that he didn’t know what the Tic Tac was, but that “it was really impressive, really fast, and I would like to fly it.” In the CVIC that day, the anonymous pilot told Intelligencer, “We all had that. We all wanted to fly it.”
Of the many people to have spotted or recorded the objects, a handful, like Fravor or Princeton’s (retired) Chief Master-at-Arms Sean Cahill, who reported seeing what appeared to be another grouping of the objects from the missile cruiser’s deck, have spoken to journalists or documentarians. Others have not: Lieutenant Colonel “Cheeks” Kurth, a Marine Hornet squadron commanding officer who was also asked to intercept the Tic Tac, still has not done an on-the-record interview. (Three years after the sighting, however, Kurth did take a job as a program manager at Bigelow Advanced Aerospace Space Studies in Las Vegas, whose owner Robert Bigelow has been a well-known private funder of UFO and paranormal research for decades. It was during this same period that Bigelow became a military contractor working on the Pentagon’s once-secret UFO investigation program, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.)
Underwood now joins Fravor, Cahill, and others, in speaking about his experience with the Tic Tac. This conversation has been condensed and edited for clarity.
What did you think of Dave Fravor’s appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience?
I’m glad Dave went on Joe’s show. He nailed every detail. At the time of the incident, he was essentially my boss, my commanding officer. I was just a pilot in his squadron. Are you familiar at all with how aircraft-carrier air operations work?
Probably not.
So, usually, we fly for about an hour, hour and a half, and then land. Then there’s the next wave of folks that take off and do their mission, blah, blah, blah. That day, Dave Fravor was landing at the same time I was getting my gear on, and we crossed paths just after he’d seen it. I really don’t want to get into what Dave saw, specificallyTo summarize Fravor’s eyewitness account to the New York Times, the pilot reported seeing a large submerged object that was causing the ocean to churn. Hovering about 50 feet above that churn, the 40-foot Tic Tac zipped erratically around the submerged object. Fravor observed the Tic Tac as he banked his F/A-18 in a spiral descent to get a closer look. As he told the Times, the Tic Tac “accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen” and left him “pretty weirded out.”, because I didn’t see it with my own eyeballs. But I told him, “The Princeton” — again, which has got a really good sophisticated radar — “is reporting that there’s an object out there that they wanted us to see if we could find and, if we’re able, track.”
So, we go out to where our designated training area is. We’re not necessarily looking for something, but the Princeton had a specific object that they wanted us to hunt, for lack of a better word. And all of a sudden, I got this blip on my radar.
The “Tic Tac.”
The term “Tic Tac,” I actually coined that. So, any time you heard the term, “It looked like a ‘Tic Tac’ out there in the sky,” I was the one that kind of coined that.
Was that named based on what you saw with your own eyes, or from looking at the screen on the camera?
No. I was more concentrated on looking at the FLIRAdvanced Targeting Forward Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) is an optical electric- and thermal-imaging system that was developed for U.S. Navy pilots by Raytheon in the late 1990s, mainly for the detection and identification of tactical targets and the delivery of autonomous precision targeting to smart weapons. In the mid-2000s, as well as today, ATFLIR was capable of detecting and tracking targets within a range of 40 nautical miles.. It was inside of 20 miles. You’re not going to see it with your own eyes until probably 10 miles, and then you’re not going to be able to visually track it until you’re probably inside of five miles, which is where Dave Fravor said that he saw it. So, at that point I didn’t see anything with my eyeballs. I was more concerned with tracking it, making sure that the videotape was on so that I could bring something back to the ship, so that the intel folks could dissect whatever it is that I captured.
The thing that stood out to me the most was how erratic it was behaving. And what I mean by “erratic” is that its changes in altitude, air speed, and aspect were just unlike things that I’ve ever encountered before flying against other air targets. It was just behaving in ways that aren’t physically normal. That’s what caught my eye. Because, aircraft, whether they’re manned or unmanned, still have to obey the laws of physics. They have to have some source of lift, some source of propulsion. The Tic Tac was not doing that. It was going from like 50,000 feet to, you know, a hundred feet in like seconds, which is not possible.
And it was doing that during your engagement too?
Yes. That was the thing that was the most interesting to me: how erratic this thing wasJim Gillingham, an engineering consultant who worked on ATFLIR for Raytheon, suggested in an interview with Intelligencer that “if there were several things in the sky to look at, but none were quite where the pilot was trying to look,” it might produce erratic results, a glitch he’d experienced using the ATFLIR to track planes from the ground during development testing. “We ran into this when trying to get a lock and there were two aircraft climbing out. (LAX has four parallel runways). Sometimes the image would switch back and forth vigorously until we took steps to bias the lock some way.”. If it was obeying physics like a normal object that you would encounter in the sky — an aircraft, or a cruise missile, or some sort of special project that the government didn’t tell you about — that would have made more sense to me. The part that drew our attention was how it wasn’t behaving within the normal laws of physics. You’re up there flying, like, “Okay. It’s not behaving in a manner that’s predictable or is normal by how flying objects physically move.”
From looking at the video at the time and more recently, do you get a sense as to how much heat this thing was giving off?
Well, normally, you would see engines emitting a heat plume. This object was not doing that. The video shows a source of heat, but the normal signatures of an exhaust plume were not there. There was no sign of propulsion. You could not see the thing that the ATFLIR pod should pick up 100 percent of the time: the source of heat and exhaust that a normal object flying would give youFormer Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello expressed a similar reaction to the object in the FLIR1 video during a telephone interview. “Where it looks different to me is that it has no wings like an aircraft, and there’s no perceptible heat signature from the engines or from intakes like an aircraft,” he said. “If you’re close enough to an actual aircraft and you’re tracking it, you can see heat spots at different places either leading edges of wings, where it’s hotter because of friction, or exhaust ports from where bleed air comes out, and, of course, the actual exhaust of the engines themselves.”. Does that make sense?
Yeah, it does.
Like, no method of propulsion or exhaust — and the exhaust part of it was the thing that kind of made me raise my eyebrows and be like, “Okay, this is interesting.”
Were you approaching the Tic Tac head-on? Some people have suggestedThe main source for this theory is a longtime contributor to the Skeptical Inquirer, retired Air Force Major James McGaha, whose primary flight experience, per his bio with the skeptic’s group, is with large C-130 military transport aircraft. Not fighter jets, in other words, nor their instruments. that the Tic Tac’s rapid leftward movement toward the end of the video was actually the result of your F/A-18 banking to the right and dragging the camera along with it.
We were pointed nose-on to it. Maybe 10 to 20 degrees of azimuthAzimuth is a horizontal angular measurement between a fixed direction, which in this flight navigation case is straight-ahead of the aircraft, and an object or location. In aviation, azimuth is paired with a vertical angular measurement called altitude, which should not be confused with the more common use of the word as a synonym for elevation., either left or right.
Ergo, when the object kind of darts away to the left—
I was not aggressively maneuvering the aircraft in the manner that would make the FLIR pod would do thatUnderwood’s recollections on this were corroborated by Steven T. Cummings, a former technical director for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems who worked on ATFLIR in its R&D phase and reviewed the FLIR1 video for this story. That said, Cummings made a point of adding that he will remain skeptical about most of the Nimitz UFO witness’ accounts until the military releases more electronic data from the incident.. But look: At that point, I did not actually see the object aggressively accelerate to the left, as the video shows, to actually prove that.
Because you were at a distance where you couldn’t make visual contact with your own eyes—
Right.
And so what’s happening in the video is a little ambiguous as a result.
Right. Yeah. And that part kind of sucks, because I can’t confirm that the object aggressively accelerated that way. But I have my feelings, based off of my experience with my equipment — and also just logic, when it comes to, you know, physics.
I want to ask you some questions based on theories that America’s armchair skeptics have put forward — like whether it was birds, or whether it was some sort of thermal weather event. I mean, I’m sure you have had enough flight time that you’ve seen birds.
Yup. Birds normally fly close to the surface of the ground. So, for example, you’re not going to see birds flying at 5,000 feet. You’re going to see them more down at like 2,000 feet and below, like down to the surface. That’s just kind of how birds normally operate. And they’re typically not alone. So you can you can physically see them, in a flock or whatever. You don’t see birds at 5,000 or 10,000 or 20,000 feet. That’s just not how birds operate. So birds are out of the question.
And just so that I anticipate your next question: There are weather balloons that people launch, but this was not a weather balloon — because a balloon, it just ascends and floats from low to high altitude; it doesn’t behave erratically. I mean, it’s just a damn balloon. So that was out of the question.
It wasn’t — to the best of my knowledge — a cruise missile or any other kind of test aircraft that we possibly may have not known about, just because of the way it was behaving. Like I said, it was just very erratic. It would go from like 50 feet off the ground, which when you’re out in the open ocean, you know, off the coast of San Diego, it looked like it was just hovering over the water. But there was no method of propulsion that was keeping it airborne: no wings, no heat, keeping it airborne or aloft.
Have you ever seen a weather event on an ATFLIR?
I would say if I captured this object on my sensors independently, like I was the only one that saw it or tracked it, I might have blown it off as something like a weather event. But the amount of people and sensors from other independent sources who found it — given the time period Dave Fravor saw it, and an hour and a half later I went out and saw it, and we captured basically an object with the same description — leads me to believe that a weather event would be unlikely.
Did it surprise you or provide any kind of relief seeing the Navy officially declare the Tic Tac video genuineBefore the New York Times vetted and published the FLIR1 video, the short clip floated around samizdat-style on various online UFO forums, a situation that had led skeptics and “galaxy brain” conspiracy theorists to suspect that the video was a hoax perpetrated by the first known group to host the video on its servers, a German 3-D animation company called Vision Unlimited. In an interview with a German paranormal-news website, Vision Unlimited manager Philip Schneider said the video was not its work product, but could not explain why its servers were hosting it all the way back in 2007. and a genuine UAP when that happened in the Washington Post last September?
No, not surprised. Validation for sure.
This might be a good time to talk about what the mood was on the Nimitz after all of this.
Once I landed, I saw one of my buddies from my sister squadron. He said, “Hey, did you see something out there too?,” in a very jokey manner. And I was like, “Actually, MFer, because I know you want to make fun of me, I got it here on video.” Although, I didn’t say “MFer.” I said the actual term. He’s a good friend of mine, so it was in jest. We pop the tapes into the playback machine. I’m like, “Here, this is where it is.” Those little video cutsIn a podcast interview earlier this year, Sean Cahill (Princeton’s Chief-Master-at-Arms) recalled that the name of this shortened FLIR1 video, the only version that the public has seen, was named “14November_condensed or something like that.” As Cahill told the podcast’s host, Alejandro Rojas, the video file was shared widely by crew members of the Nimitz and the Princeton using the carrier group’s low-bandwidth, circa 2004 Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), before much later being published by the New York Times in December 2017. — that you see of my FLIR recording — were taken there at the intelligence center. What they do with it from there, I don’t have a whole lot to deal with.
When I was still in my flight gear, so probably within about 20 minutes or so, I spoke to someone that I assume was from NORAD. I described it exactly as I just told you. I didn’t get debriefed. The interesting thing was, normally, if you see something out in the middle of the ocean that’s a test project, we would get debriefed on it, one-on-one, in a dark room. Whether it’s from the folks at Edwards test siteSince the end of World War II, Edwards Air Force Base has been one of the premiere testing sites for new U.S. military aircraft, and later home to NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center for the testing of advanced spacecraft. Naturally, Edwards has been a perennial subject of American UFO lore — including an extended October 7, 1965 sighting in which base personnel struggled for over five hours to identify a series of mystery objects invading their airspace. Some fun, less intuitive trivia: The base also has its own folklore about a desert Bigfoot creature they call Yucca Man. or something like that. “Hey, yes, we were testing a project. This is what you saw.” Without going into great detail, it will be like, “Yes. This is project ‘Umptysquat’” and, basically, “This is what you saw. Don’t talk about it.” That never happened, which leads me to think that it was not a government projectA former fighter pilot currently working with the Tailhook Association, who spoke on condition of anonymity, corroborated this idea that the lack of a formal debrief for Underwood describing a top-secret aircraft would be suggestive of something more unusual than a classified test-flight program..
Or, at least, not one—
Not one that they wanted to give any acknowledgment of. And, you know, I’ve got top-secret clearance with a ton of special-project clearances. So, it’s not like I wasn’t cleared to know. But, as I’m sure you’ve found in your research, to have clearance to know something, you have to have both the clearance that it’s elevated to and you have to have the “need to know” it. And, clearly, whatever it was, if it was a government project, I did not need to know.
Yeah. Understood. Here’s something I’m curious about, because of this NORAD aspect: Did it come up that this telephone debriefing was maybe involved with something called an Operations Event Incident Report or NORAD’s OPREP-3 reporting system?Documents made public via the Freedom of Information Act, alongside other government documents including “Air Force Instruction 10–206 Operational Reporting” (AFI 10–206) published by the Secretary of the United States Air Force (SEC–USAF) on October 15th, 2008, have indicated that a US military–wide secured reporting channel dubbed OPREP-3 for “operational report category 3 Event/Incident” have become a primary means of delivering realtime information on UFO incidents up the national security chain of command, from the service members tracking the object up through to the White House. Documents released via FOIA have shown the OPREP-3 channel used to deliver information about a spate of Oct, 30th, 1975, UFO events at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Michigan, and overlapping sightings at Loring Air Force Base in Maine, among others.
Honestly, Matt, I have no idea. Like like what level up to who I was talking to. I just wanted to answer them. I was just basically handed a telephone and said, “Hey. Answer these questions.”
Fair enough. So, Between talking to the NORAD guy and Fravor going public, there’s a several-year period where this is just like a thing that happened in your life. Did it come up very often at all?
There would be associations. I would be sitting at lunch five years later with some of my colleagues. Rumors tend to have legs. “Hey, you were out on the Nimitz in ’04. Someone told me about some alien spacecraft.” And I’m like, “Well, (1) the video that you see is my video. And no, I’ve never said that this is what I think it was or speculate as to what I think it was. That’s not my job. But I saw something. And it was also seen, via eyeballs, by both my commanding officer, Dave Fravor, and the Marine Corps Hornet squadron commanding officer who was out there as well.
When did you find out Fravor was going to go public? Did a lot of people approach you during that reporting or afterward?
It’s funny, seeing your boss’s name and face on the news, given what he was putting out there. You know, obviously, our encounter happened in 2004 — so a while back — but everything that Dave has put out there in the interviews is absolutely, 100 percent, exactly what happened on that day. And we’re still good friends to this day, so I started texting him. We had about a two-hour-long phone call and I’d be like, “Dude. Like what made this pop up?” Like, “Where was this like, you know, 12, 14 years ago?” Now it’s 15 years ago. And, I guess, that was when the Pentagon released — whatever project they called it. I can’t even remember it.
AATIP.
Yeah. AATIPThe Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) ostensibly ran from 2007 to 2012 with a budget of about $22 million. It was preceded by, and may have overlapped with, another Defense Intelligence Agency program, dubbed the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), with a wider and weirder purview that included “dark energy and the manipulation of extra dimensions.” In October 2017, New York Times reporter Ralph Blumenthal and longtime UFO researcher Leslie Kean met with a former employee of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSDI), Luis Elizondo, who had been involved with AATIP — and depending on which reporters and low-level Pentagon spokespeople you care to trust, may have led the program. Working with several other individuals from the U.S. military and intelligence world, and however improbably with Blink-182 front man Tom DeLonge, Elizondo and the Times brought news of AATIP — and with it, David Fravor’s account of the Tic Tac — to the public that December. The extent of the Pentagon’s official involvement declassifying this material is unfortunately still one of the more frustrating, unresolved, and contentious aspects of this story two years later..

Not that I really care. At no point did I want to speculate as to what I thought this thing was — or be associated with, you know, “alien beings” and “alien aircraft” and all that stuff. I’m like, “No. I do not want to be part of that community.” It is just what we call a UFO. I couldn’t identify it. It was flying. And it was an object. It’s as simple as that.
