Astronomen hebben een interactieve kaart, een soort Google Maps, van de ruimte gemaakt. Elk punt op de kaart is een sterrenstelsel. Je kan maar liefst door 200.000 sterrenstelsels navigeren. Iedereen kan in amper enkele muisklikken een deel van het universum verkennen.

Elke pixel op de ‘Map of the Universe’ is een sterrenstelsel met daarin miljarden sterren. De Melkweg is een van die stippen, helemaal onderaan de kaart. Astronomen hebben de spectaculaire kaart ontwikkeld in samenwerking met John Hopkins University en met behulp van informatie uit de Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Het is de eerste keer dat dergelijke informatie toegankelijk is voor een breed publiek.

“Astrofysici van overal ter wereld analyseren deze gegevens voortdurend, wat leidt tot duizenden wetenschappelijke artikels en ontdekkingen”, vertelt professor Brice Ménard van John Hopkins University. “Maar niemand nam de tijd om een kaart te maken die mooi, wetenschappelijk accuraat en toegankelijk is voor mensen die geen wetenschappers zijn. Ons doel is om iedereen te laten zien hoe het universum er écht uitziet.”

Enkel het centrale deel van het universum is in de kaart verwerkt. In totaal kun je door meer dan 200.000 sterrenstelsels navigeren. Dat lijkt een heleboel, maar in werkelijkheid schat de Amerikaanse luchtvaartorganisatie NASA dat er meer dan honderd miljard sterrenstelsels zijn.

10 Best UFO Movies Of All Time

Since UFOs have been in pop culture for a long time, it’s easy to identify the most popular films about them (and of course with a help of the Letterboxd community). The War of the Worlds, which was written by H.G. Wells in 1897, provided the initial spark for this interest. Numerous other films have also been made based on this novel.

There are many different types of UFO movies that can be made, and they can range from peaceful encounters to violent confrontations depending on the visitors’ intentions. Some of these try to poke fun at the silver age of cinema, while others try to convey a profound message.

1. Arrival, 2016

One of the most popular UFO movies that Letterboxd has reviewed is Denis Villeneuve’s “Arrival.” This cerebral drama features Amy Adams as Louise Banks, a linguistics expert who is tasked with translating an alien language. The film takes place in an alien world that’s filled with massive ships and mysterious creatures known as the Heptapods.

2. The Thing, 1982

The film begins with an opening shot from space, which shows an alien craft moving toward Earth. It then cuts to a group of men at a research facility in Antarctica, where they encounter a distressing situation. There, they find a massive spaceship that’s been in the ice for hundreds of thousands of years, and there’s evidence of an escaped pilot. However, they can’t find the body of the pilot.

3. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, 1982

Another modern classic is delivered by Steven Spielberg with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, a family-friendly science fiction film. The movie begins with a UFO flying across a forest floor, where small alien creatures begin investigating. However, after being spooked by the humans, the spaceship departs. The lone alien then finds a safe and warm place to stay. This is where it will eventually befriend Elliot, a young boy.

The relationship between Elliot and the alien, who is named E.T., is strong and emotional. Despite the adults’ attempts to scare the alien away, the kids help the creature by sending it on its way to safety. Through the film’s unique sense of wonder and awe, the kids were able to bring out their inner child.

4. Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 1977

The film’s title, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, was inspired by the writings of J. Allen Hyneck, a Ufologist who classified encounters involving extraterrestrials into three categories: sightings, evidence left behind, and contact with the alien’s resident. The third encounter is the heart and soul of Steven Spielberg’s classic UFO tale.

The film features Roy, who is a government official and a UFO witness, along with various other individuals. After witnessing an encounter with an alien, he begins to become increasingly obsessed with the situation. He starts constructing a strange and unsettling structure out of household items and potatoes. The tension in the film, which is mainly due to paranoia, was released during the climactic scene.

The score composed by John Williams seamlessly complements the story’s message to the aliens. It helps the film stand the test of time.

5. District 9, 2009

District 9 follows the story of a derelict alien spaceship that lands in Johannesburg, South Africa. The film, which is partially narrated by documentary style, explains how officials came across over a million aliens living inside the spaceship. In an effort to rehabilitate the aliens, the government relocates them to camps.

The film District 9 is a grounded sci-fi that uses the audience’s own experiences to bring the story to life. Through its unique documentary style, the film tackles issues of racial segregation and the exploitation of aliens. The aliens are shown being held hostage by the government so that a weapons manufacturer can use their technology.

6. Independence Day, 1996

In Independence Day, which is an action-packed disaster movie, alien invaders arrive and wipe out humanity. This is a motivating rah-rah movie that encourages people to stand up to the extraterrestrial threats.

In the film, Will Smith plays a jet fighter pilot who has his sights set on getting revenge for his first encounter with the extraterrestrials. Also starring are Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum. The simple yet effective plot and characterizations of District 9 are presented on the film’s cover. It provides an entertaining and engaging experience.

7. Men in Black, 1997

The sci-fi film, which is also a comedy, plays off the campiness of the 50s. It follows the story of a government agency that monitors and licenses alien activities on Earth. The humor in this film is derived from the numerous clichés and stereotypes in sci-fi.

Tommy Lee Jones plays Agent K, who recruits the young agent, played by Will Smith. Their mismatched partnership gets into trouble when the audience discovers that the alien community has been dwelling under our noses. The conflict begins when a damaged ship brings a viscous alien known as the Bug, which disguises itself in human skin, to Earth. The newfound partners must stop this threat from escaping.

8. 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968

Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey is an astounding and unsettling science fiction masterpiece. The film begins with an introduction that shows how an unseen alien entity sends a massive stone to Earth. A jump cut shows the way humans discover a buried object on the moon, which is then revealed to be a message to Jupiter. A mission is then carried out to find its source.

The film, which is directed by Stanley Kubrick, doesn’t attempt to provide the audience with everything they need to know. Instead, it offers an emotional response through its abstract moments. The movie doesn’t attempt to define anything since the universe is beyond human comprehension.

9. Signs, 2002

M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs is a science fiction thriller that showcases his signature style of suspense. It features a story set in a rural community. It stars Joaquin Phoenix, Mel Gibson, and Abigail Breslin. The film’s story revolves around an alien invasion.

The family begins to suspect that something strange is happening in their farm after they see crop circles and strange occurrences in their fields. While they begin sharing evidence about the aliens on their small TV, the story focuses on the characters who are struggling with their own grief and loss of faith.

10. Under the Skin, 2013

The film Under the Skin features an unsettling depiction of a woman who is disguised as an alien. In an opening sequence, the alien passes through light and shapes as it flies toward Earth. It’s implied that the creature is being dropped off to prey on humans. A missed shot of a skyscraper shows the UFO flying back into the Scottish skies.

This is as close as the UFO genre has come. The film offers a glimpse into the alien’s mind as it observes humans with an emotionless gaze. It lures men into its presence with promises of being able to harvest their bodies. However, as the creature experiences various emotional and physical interactions, its identity is suddenly thrown into doubt.

Residents of Two Mexican Cities Say They're Protected By Aliens Who Live Underwater

Now that the government is starting to admit it, there’s no putting the cat back in the bag: UFOs exist.

We may not know in what capacity yet or if they’re being piloted by honest-to-god aliens, but there is irrefutable proof that unidentified flying objects of some kind have been documented and authenticated at the highest levels.

There are two coastal cities in Mexico, however, where just about everyone believes the rumor that otherworldly beings live underwater and have been actively rerouting tropical storms away from the area for the last 50 years.

The most recent diversion, which took place last month when Tropical Storm Karl quickly changed course to the Gulf of Mexico while moving toward the two cities, was a catalyst for a recent profile in Vice tracing the history of an urban legend that has inspired thousands to pledge fealty to the underwater beings that supposedly control the local weather.

When the storm was thought to be approaching the two cities, local residents like 71-year-old Beatriz Garcia, weren’t bothered in the slightest.

The story begins in 1967, when thousands of locals witnessed nine UFOs in the sky, descending to an area off the coast of Miramar Beach. The sightings were even confirmed by the local Tampico airport air traffic control tower, according to an article from El Sol de Tampico, which reported on the 1967 sightings the day after they happened.

Because so many people saw it at the same time, news of the UFOs traveled quickly and was treated as an unequivocal truth soon after that, especially after Madero and Tampico suddenly stopped experiencing extreme weather events following two massive hurricanes in 1955 and 1966. In the fifty-five years since the aliens first landed on that fateful August night, the area has been free of any destruction at the hands of mother nature.

Today, the area is home to a UFO festival called El Día OVNI (Objeto Volador No Identificado) Tamaulipas, organized by the OVNI Scientific Investigations Association of Tamaulipas (AICOT, in Spanish), an activist group comprised of alien investigators.

The festival itself was started as a joke in October 2013 by a notable figure from nearby Nuevo Leon, who called it El Día del Marciano, or The Day of the Martian.

However, people like AICOT founder Juan Carlos Ramón López have worked to turn it into an officially recognized holiday by doing away with the martian terminology and refocusing on OVNIs and the various run-ins people have supposedly had with these extraterrestrial beings.

López himself claims to have visited the aliens via astral projection in July 2013. He used words like “intraterrestrial” and “multidimensional” to describe Amupac, which he defines as being constructed of metals and crystals and is populated by 10-foot-tall beings who have “energy radiating throughout the place.”

“The information that I received in this place is that they are monitoring this stage of this planet,” López said to Vice. “And well, for me in particular I can deduce that they are psychologists, scientists who are connected in this reality, but they live in the space of no time.”

And while studies into astral projection have yet to reveal anything definitive, the recent proliferation of confirmed UFO sightings has people more curious than ever about any valid claims of human-alien cohabitation.

López describes the beings as evolved in terms of both consciousness and intelligence, suggesting an ability to communicate or connect with humans in a non-physical realm.

Tamaulipas’ director of tourism, Nembra Carmen Jiménez, is more than happy to encourage the area’s UFO-based economy, where tourists from around the world come to visit in the hopes that they can catch a glimpse at a flying saucer.

It should come as no surprise to learn that Jiménez, a self-proclaimed believer in Amupac, is also a member of AICOT.

“We’ve had everyone from children to the elderly that are interested in the subject,” she said. “People come here exclusively to visit this area…to see these types of phenomenons,” cutting herself off to say, “Well, we got rid of the word ‘phenomena.’ This type of ‘reality’ that we have here.”

To top it all off, Jiménez claims to have made actual contact with the area’s alien overlords. “I believe in this,” she said. “I have seen them since I was 5 years old, I have had contact with a spaceship. We are not alone in the universe.” Still, it’s not difficult to see why skeptics like meteorological harbor master Javier Francisco Álvarez would take statements like those with a grain of salt.

Álvarez acknowledges the lore behind an area that seems to be impervious to extreme weather but explained that “the trajectories of these hydrometeorological phenomena are erratic, that is, they do not always hit the same part or in the same place, or enter through the same way, touch land through the same place.” He also mentions that the water near the area is “one or two degrees cooler” than that of the Gulf of Mexico.

Because of the cooler water, “it manages to pull the mass of air and, consequently, causes the rejection of hurricanes. The air mass that enters through the gulf is diverted towards the coasts of the United States and towards the Isthmus of Tehuantepec,” Álvarez said. His biggest concern isn’t the urban legend itself, but rather the lack of local preparation because of the blind faith in the aliens beneath the surface.

As far as the locals are concerned, there’s no arguing the facts. Madero and Tampico have been in the crosshairs of a major hurricane on a handful of occasions since 1967. Every last one of them has rerouted (or been rerouted if you believe the stories) with no explanation outside of the cooler water.

Before 1988’s Hurricane Gilbert caused billions of dollars in damage in the US, the Caribbean, and Southern Mexico, it rerouted away from Madero and Tampico. It happened again in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina was headed toward the small coastal cities before breaking off and going straight for New Orleans, where it eventually killed more than 1800 people.

The idea of underwater aliens rerouting weather for reasons that may or may not have to do with the people who live nearby is a tough pill to swallow.

But when an entire population has had more than five decades of very good luck, it’s probably hard not to feel blessed.

Lead-author Levon Pogosian (Professor of Physics, Simon Fraser University) and co-author Kazuya Koyama (Professor of Cosmology, University of Portsmouth) summarized the issue in a recent article via The Conversation. As they explained it, the cosmological constant problem comes down to a single question with drastic implications:

“[W]hether the vacuum energy actually gravitates – exerting a gravitational force and changing the expansion of the universe. If yes, then why is its gravity so much weaker than predicted? If the vacuum does not gravitate at all, what is causing the cosmic acceleration? We don’t know what dark energy is, but we need to assume it exists in order to explain the universe’s expansion. Similarly, we also need to assume there is a type of invisible matter presence, dubbed dark matter, to explain how galaxies and clusters evolved to be the way we observe them today.”

The existence of Dark Energy is part of the standard cosmological theory known as the Lambda Cold Dark Matter (LCDM) model – where Lambda represents the Cosmological Constant/Dark Energy. According to this model, the mass-energy density of the Universe consists of 70% Dark Energy, 25% Dark Matter, and 5% normal (visible or “luminous”) matter. While this model has successfully matched observations gathered by cosmologists over the past 20 years, it assumes that most of the Universe is made up of undetectable forces.

Hence why some physicists have ventured that GR may need some modifications to account to explain the Universe as a whole. Moreover, a few years ago, astronomers noted that measuring the rate of cosmic expansion in different ways produced different values. This problem, explained Pogosian and Koyama, is known as the Hubble tension:

“The disagreement, or tension, is between two values of the Hubble Constant. One is the number predicted by the LCDM cosmological model, which has been developed to match the light left over from the Big Bang (the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation). The other is the expansion rate measured by observing exploding stars known as supernovas in distant galaxies.”

Fly-by complete! NASA's Orion spacecraft passes within just 80 MILES of the moon and snaps a stunning photo as it swings by

• Orion spacecraft took an image of the moon during its lunar flyby today

NASA's Orion spacecraft took a breathtaking image of the moon as it swung past during its lunar fly-by earlier today.

As part of the Artemis I mission that lifted off last week, Orion was required to circle our natural satellite after separating from the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.

This manoeuvre was successfully completed at 12:44 GMT (07:44 EST), and came about 80 miles (129km) above the lunar surface.

Just before it did so, the crew module snapped a high-resolution photo of the moon, showing all its craters and mountains in stunning detail. 

The image was posted on the official Twitter account for the Artemis mission, @NASAArtemis.

NASA's next-generation moon rocket, the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket with the Orion crew capsule, lifts off from for the uncrewed Artemis I mission to the moon last week

It was captioned: 'The @NASA_Orion spacecraft captured this image of the Moon during its sixth day of flight, as it approached its first outbound powered flyby of the #Artemis I mission and its closest lunar approach.'

Earlier today, Orion performed the first of four main engine thrusts scheduled during the Artemis mission, which went on for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

At this time, it was 328 miles above the moon, travelling at 5,023 mph (8,084 kph) and more than 230,000 miles (370,000 km) from Earth.

The slingshot manoeuvre accelerated the spacecraft to 5,102 mph (8,211 kph), allowing it to take advantage of the moon's gravitational force.

This will help it to enter lunar orbit later this week.

As it whipped behind our natural satellite, Orion briefly lost connection with NASA’s Deep Space Network, but regained it at 12:59 GMT (07:59 EST).

This marks the first time a capsule has visited the moon since the Apollo mission 50 years ago. 

In four days time, a second thrust from the engines will place Orion in a distant retrograde orbit around the Moon.

It will remain in this orbit for about a week to test spacecraft systems, about 40,000 miles (64,000 km) above the lunar surface.

Orion will then begin the journey back to Earth, with a landing in the Pacific Ocean scheduled for December 11, after just 25 days of flight.

As well as this image of the moon, Orion has also snapped a selfie as well as stunning 'blue marble' image of Earth during its epic journey. 

The public can track Orion during its mission around the Moon and back in real-time, using NASA's interactive online tool.   

Artemis I is NASA's uncrewed flight test of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, which launched last Wednesday from Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida. 

Artemis I is designed to show that the SLS and Orion capsule are ready to carry astronauts to the moon in subsequent Artemis II and Artemis III missions. 

If the mission is successful, Artemis I will be followed by a human trip around the moon in 2024 (Artemis II) and could lead to the first woman and first person of colour landing on the moon the year after. 

Mike Sarafin, head of the Artemis I mission, said on Friday that the Orion spacecraft is 'exceeding performance expectations'.

The Space Launch System (SLS) rocket will carry the Orion capsule to space for its 25-and-a-half day journey around the moon and then a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean on December 11

Sarafin also said that 10 scientific micro-satellites had been deployed when the rocket took off, but that half of them were experiencing technical or communication problems.

Those experiments, carried out separately by independent teams, will have no impact on the main mission, however.

Artemis I is not a manned mission, meaning there are no humans aboard the Orion capsule. 

However, Orion does have three manikins on board – two resembling a female body (Helga and Zohar) and one a male body (Campos). 

Campos – named after Arturo Campos, an electrical engineer for NASA in the 1970s – is occupying the commander's seat during the Artemis I mission while wearing the new Orion Crew Survival System flight suit. 

Campos is equipped with two radiation sensors and have additional sensors under its headrest and behind its seat to record acceleration and vibration data throughout the mission. 

In the passenger seats meanwhile are Helga and Zohar, on board as part of an important study into the risks of space radiation for real women astronauts in the near future. 

Helga and Zohar have 'tissue-equivalent materials of variable density' that replicate the proportions of a woman's body, including bone and soft tissue.

Sensors have been fitted in the most radiation-sensitive areas of their 'bodies' – chest, stomach, uterus and bone marrow.

By comparing the two sets of data, it will be possible to determine the extent to which the vest could protect an astronaut from harmful radiation exposure.

They are not the first space manikins; a phantom called Matroshka, developed by the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine in Cologne, was deployed on the ISS between 2004 and 2011. 

NASA's Official Flight Kit list of items for Artemis I also includes 245 silver Snoopy pins, a Dead Sea pebble, 567 American flags and a Shaun the Sheep mascot. 

The British stop-motion character, a star of the Wallace and Gromit series, is meant to represent the UK and the European Space Agency (ESA) on the flight. 

Shaun has his own spin-off TV series and appeared in his own children's sci-fi film 'A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon' in 2019.

Nuclear War In Ancient Times: Theory and Evidence

This holds true for many aspects of life. But how far can this idiom be taken?

As we all know, the first nuclear bomb was detonated on July 16, 1945 at the White Sands Proving Ground in Los Alamos, New Mexico. But was that really the first time the Earth had witnessed a nuclear explosion? According to the Mahabharata, a Sanskrit epic of ancient India, nuclear war has already taken place, some 4,000 years ago.

This 1.8 million-word text tells the tale of a devastating conflict that culminated with the utter destruction typical in the case of an atomic blast.

The manuscripts say that using flying machines called Vimanas, humans deployed ” a single projectile charged with all the power of the universe.” Sounds familiar? They go on saying that this projectile caused an incandescent pillar of smoke and fire “as bright as ten thousand suns”.

The Earth shook and arrows of flame rained continuously. The scorching heat caused the death of animals and humans alike. The waters boiled, killing off all forms of aquatic life. Soon after, hair and nails started falling out, food was poisoned and pottery cracked without cause.

Birds lost their sense of direction and circled endlessly, became white and dropped dead. We now know that birds use the Earth’s magnetic lines for direction and losing their sense of direction would be probable in the case of a great magnetic anomaly.

The Mahabharata is regarded as mostly mythic but one would wonder how could people describe the particularities of a nuclear explosion without witnessing it firsthand. And the ancient Indian epic isn’t the only scripture that alludes to a disaster of this kind.

In the Bible we have the story of Joseph, recorded in the book of Genesis. After being sold as a slave in Egypt he manages to gain great favor from the pharaoh by interpreting his dream and warning him of the impending famine. What could have caused a seven-year famine in the entire world at the time?

Some say that this scenario is compatible with the nuclear winter following the detonation of a powerful enough nuclear bomb. Another interesting aspect is that the average lifespan of the generations preceding Joseph was around 200 years but those following him do not exceed 130 years.

According to the Bible, this event took place roughly 2000 years before the birth of Christ. Some would argue that the Bible cannot be considered a legitimate historical source but sometimes connecting the dots leads to interesting results.

And then we have the legend of Atlantis. The Atlanteans were a technologically advanced civilization. They too possessed flying machines called vailxi and they also had fearsome weapons of mass destruction. This is largely a work of fiction propagated by Plato, but the legend of Atlantis mentions an entire continent sinking to the bottom of the ocean in a cataclysmic manner.

Robert Oppenheimer had a leading role in the Manhattan Project – the program that created the atomic bomb. When a reporter asked him “How does it feel to be the father of the atomic bomb?” he responded with another question: “You mean in modern times?” Witnessing the detonation firsthand, he famously quoted the Bhagvad Gita, a part of the Mahabharata, saying “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”

This subject is obstinately avoided by the scientific community but there is evidence supporting events such as this one. This evidence routinely comes in the form of fused glass fragments found in many deserts all over the world.

These pieces of glass closely resemble those found at the Alamogordo atomic proving grounds. Desert glass forms when temperatures in excess of 3,300 degrees Fahrenheit (1,800º Celsius) cause the sand grains to melt and fuse together.

They were first described by Patrick Clayton who encountered them while surveying the Sahara in 1932. Clayton discovered huge chunks of yellowish-green glass in the sand and presented them to fellow geologists. A possible explanation came almost 50 years later when one of the engineers that helped create the atomic bomb was revisiting the testing site in New Mexico. He noticed glass fragments that were similar to those he had seen in the desert, albeit much smaller.

Being open-minded, he made a connection. Being an engineer, he did the math and was astounded by the results.

In order to produce desert glass the size of the pieces found by Clayton, the explosion had to have been 10,000 more powerful than the one in New Mexico.

A very plausible explanation was proposed: the glass had formed due to asteroid/ comet/ giant meteorite impacts. Such impacts would certainly fit the profile as they cold easily produce the tremendous amount of heat required to fuse silicon crystals.

But an impact that great would also leave behind a noticeably large crater and no such craters were found in the desert.

Glass was found in the Sahara, the Mojave and the Desert of Libya but neither sonar nor satellite imagery could find any accompanying craters.

Furthermore, the Libyan glass had a very high purity and clarity (over 99 percent). In the case of meteorite impact, the silicon is fused together with iron from the meteorite itself as well as other adulterants.

When we piece together all the clues, the picture becomes clearer and we have to ask ourselves: is it truly impossible that ancient civilizations reached a technological level similar to others?

Have we truly explored all possibilities? After all, depictions of terrible weapons capable to obliterate entire cities are found in the legends of many cultures, separated by both space and time. Were those depictions nothing more than the work of human imagination envisioning the superlative weapon? What about the physical evidence then? Where does it fit?

In our opinion, considering ourselves the first and only civilization on Earth to have split the atom is nothing short of absolute vanity.

Scientist concludes: There is Evidence of Ancient Nuclear Weapons on Mars

“Mars xenon is found to match closely the component in the Earth’s atmosphere produced by Earth’s nuclear weapons programs, both hydrogen bomb testing and plutonium production, both of which involve large amounts of fission with fast neutrons. It is found that Mars xenon can be approximately by a mixture of 70% Nuclear Testing xenon, mixed with 30% natural Earth xenon, suggesting that Mars xenon was similar to Earth’s before a large nuclear event altered it dramatically.”

There are some things withing our solar system that completely challenge everything we know.

Mars is one of those places that’s really odd. For example, it has been found that the red planet has an unusually high concentration of Xenon 129 in its thin atmosphere.

As it turns out, Gas Isotope Xenon 129 is produced by NUCLEAR REACTIONS.

In addition to that huge mystery, researchers have found that the surface of Mars is covered excessively with uranium and thorium.

This has led some scientists like Dr. John Brandenburg to conclude that it’s very likely that TWO large ANOMALOUS nuclear explosions took place on Mars in the distant past.

In the paper Dr. Brandenburg argues: that Mars shows, “…based on new data, evidence that during this period of Earthlike climate, biological evolution produced, at length, a humanoid civilization leaving ruins at several sites, Cydonia Mensa and Galaxias Chaos being two sites most intensively investigated. Data from these sites formed the basis for the Cydonian Hypothesis (Brandenburg, DiPietro, and Molenaar, 1991) of an ancient, indigenous, approximately Bronze Age civilization on Mars.”

However, there are many scientists which disagree with Dr. Braneburg saying that there is a natural explanation by which the anomalous gasses and elements on Mars can be explained.

But Dr. Brandeburg firmly sticks with his theory saying that Xenon 129 on Mars is likely the product of a nuclear process rather than fractionation – a process in nature which could explain the presence of these elements.

It is well known that over time, a planet’s atmosphere can become heavily eroded, especially on Mars where there isn’t a strong magnetic field. When this occurs, lighter isotopes become more eroded than those heavier ones which ultimately results in the increase in heavier isotopes.

But Dr. Brandeburg says: “However, on Mars, whatever process disturbed the … isotopes made the lighter isotopes relatively more abundant than heavier ones. This requires a predominantly nuclear process rather than mass fractionation…”

Dr. Brandenbrug concluded –after going through available data on Mars— that at least two massive airborne explosions occurred with fusion devices similar in design to those on Earth.

Physicist Dr John Brandenburg says there is evidence for two nuclear explosions on Mars These apparently wiped out two races - the Cydonians and Utopians.

New Mexico will house the largest collection of historical records related to the UFO phenomenon

A group of UFOlogists and historians said that they plan to unveil a massive archive of records related to the phenomenon in New Mexico in the coming years.

David Marler, a historian and UFO researcher, said that the group’s archive will be located in a facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The facility will house documents related to the UFO phenomenon that were collected by various researchers. Some of these include Rod Dyke, Jan Aldrich, and Rob Swiatek.

The facility will also house the files of the J. Allen Hynek Center, which was established in 1990 and is dedicated to investigating the UFO phenomenon. Following the transfer of files by Mark Rodeghier, the center’s director, to Marler in November 2020, the personal files of the scientist, who was the Air Force’s scientific advisor on the matter, were included in the collection.

Currently, Marler is in possession of files that used to be handled by the National Investigative Committee on Aerial Phenomena, which used to be the largest organization in the country focused on investigating the UFO phenomenon. He also noted that various private UFO collections have been promised to the facility within the next couple of years.

The group noted that the files they have gathered will help them in carrying out further research regarding the UFO phenomenon. They also hope to provide an accurate historical record of the event.

During an interview with The Debrief, Marler praised the increasing interest in the UFO phenomenon. He also noted that the public’s newfound interest in the subject has helped improve the research regarding the matter.

Despite the increasing number of people interested in the UFO phenomenon, Marler noted that a small percentage of the public is still not interested in learning more about the history of the matter.

Marler noted that the organization’s goal is to establish an archival center that would be able to collect and digitize all of the historical records related to the UFO phenomenon. He said that the location of the facility would be based in Albuquerque, which has a strong historical relationship with the subject.

Through his organization, Marler has also started to establish collaborations with other organizations, such as the University of New Mexico. These collaborations could allow the university’s students to participate in the digitization and collection management of the UFO files.

To support the establishment of the facility, the organization has established an official website, where the public can contribute to its efforts to provide a home for the records.

According to Marler, there is currently no National Archives of Ufology in the US. He and his colleagues are working toward establishing a facility that would be able to house the largest UFO archive in the country.

I viewed what appeared to be a yellow/redish round light about the size of a softball with blue to red to white blinking light underneath. It appeared to vanish after 4-5 seconds then reappear after about 5 seconds this happened 5 times the 2nd time there were 2 next to each other, the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th time there was only one. I saw the first while driving then pulled over to video with my phone saw 2 next to each other as I was getting ready to video, was able to video the 3rd and 4th, after about 10-15 seconds after the 4th, I got back in my vehicle to leave and saw the 5th while driving home. I didn't hear anything because of my truck running. My wife was in her vehicle about a quarter of a mile ahead of me and didn't stop.

When I got home, about 5 minutes later I asked my wife if she saw anything? She said yes, what was it? I asked her what did it look like? She said a yellowish/red light that appeared and disappeared. She saw it twice, once while on the road that I was on and again while looking out our front door of our house. We viewed the videos I took and she said that's what I saw! I see things in the sky frequently being on the farm way in the country, this is the latest that I've got on camera, but not the strangest. I am willing to talk about them.

A flock of sheep has been caught walking round in a circle for a whole twelve days without stopping.

The sheep can be seen ambling around in a continuous clockwise motion inside their pen in northern China in the footage taken in early November. 

The perplexing spectacle has left people shocked and confused as they try to make sense of the behaviour in the viral clip.

There is a disease that causes some animals to appear disorientated and start circling. Listeriosis can inflame one side of the brain and cause the sheep to behave in an odd way.

What causes a sheep to go in circles? 

The probably cause of the strange behavior of the sheep is a disease called Listeriosis which is a common bacterium/infection caused by spoiled food, inflames one side of an animal's brain and leads to the creature exhibiting strange behavior such as walking in circles. Recovery is rare, but is possible with early aggressive antibiotic treatment and supportive care of the affected animals.

Bright UFO hovering above Dripping Springs, TX 2-Oct-2022

White stationary unidentified flying object was seen and recorded in the daytime sky above Dripping Springs in Texas. This one was taken on 2nd October 2022.

Witness report: 

This took place back on 9/2/22 at 5:45pm, at Dreamland in Dripping Springs, TX looking almost due north. Saw this very bright object in the sky at a significant distance, it appeared to be above the spare clouds. Hung in the exact same location for 20+ minutes with absolutely no movement and then disappeared. Video from an s21 ultra, zoomed in to max 20x then back out to show distance. The flag in the foreground was massive, maybe 30′ long. I was originally going to post this the day after it happened but it kept giving me an error.
